Visited this place after a long time and I must say, they have maintained the quality. Its a nice quiet place for family time. The food was tasty and service was good as well. The prices are reasonable and overall the place is underrated. I used to love the old Arabic kind of theme of the restaurant, with its colourful lights and decor. Really missed that, but nevertheless the new interior look is also good.

It was quite a surprise to find the former Curry on the Roof in a new incarnation as Bamboo House (not to be confused with another restaurant of the same name on J M Road) -- and the former Hotel Royalty, which houses the restaurant, had become an OYO property. Fortunately, the original ethnic ambience remains, though with a few tweaks. So too the yummy menu offerings, now with a Mangalorean touch. I think you can almost inhale and savor our choices from my pictures. We began with super nachos and masala uttapam. Then came paneer and vegetable stew with coconut milk along with tandoori roti and garlic naan. Topping it all off was a sizzling chocolate brownie. If there were championships for height of sizzle and length of time thereof, this brownie would win by a long shot! The bill for our threesome came to Rs 1,270 with tax -- something of a bargain because the main course was ample enough to take home portions for lunch the following day. This uniquely ethnic restaurant was a great choice for an Independence Day treat. On another occasion, I hope to dine out on one of its inviting little rooftop patios with their lovely green lights.

Amazing place... Kinda wondered why I never came here. Food is incredible! Although I'd recommend a bit of patience as some of the dishes take a good amount of time to get served!

Decent family restaurant. Simple ambience. Mangalorian costal food is very tasty. Tawa fry, masala fry, sesemi prawns, veg gassi and neer dosa is definitely recommended. Don't try fruit punch. Staff is friendly and polite though service is a bit slow.

This restaurant is part of hotel Royslty on prabhat road. We were regulars here till about ‘18. But quality and taste degraded after Bamboo House started managing it. We visited a few days ago when someone mentioned it. Now it is again managed by the hotel. Everything we ordered was very tasty (spring roll, alu mutter, mutton masala). Polite service. Glad to add it back to our list. Recommended.

Great experience. If you can make a way through prabhat road traffic then you are in for some great food options. I really liked the seating options and it's well paced out. Good options for sea food and overall a great experience

Tasty food quality and spacious seating. Location of the restaurant is also quite nice. Could improve on entrance a bit, but in general it does not provide any inconvenience.

A well recognised place Curry on the Roof has been taken over by another popular management of Bamboo House. The service and food remains good.

One of my favorite restaurant! Cosy, less crowded, great taste and nice ambiance. Valet parking available as well as they have ample car park space. Do try Shorba, Tandoori starters! Polite staff!

I've been to Bamboo House multiplectines in last 10 years. Other than the good food in general I've returned to them for their Manglorian dishes, particularly "ghee roast" Bamboo House NX is a boon as it is much closer to my place & serves the same delicacies. Ambiance is good. Corner balconies are my favourite hangouts.
