Veg is something i dont prefer when i am out for food but this place made me to do so. I visited malgudi thrice, trust me they never disappointed. It was my birthday and my family wanted to have veg so i recommended this place and they all loved it. We ordered tandoori mushrooms, veg crispy, paneer masala, roti and baby corn mushroom masala, everything was equally delicious and value for money.
I would like share my experience, I swiped my card twice and didnt realised the money got deducted twice, after checking my account after 10 days i immediately called them at their peak hours and got my money back by giving all my details. Indeed an amazing experience.

Located near Karishma, not that expensive ..Went there on a Sunday afternoon so it was crowded and had to wait for 10-15 mins ...We tried Mysore cheese masala dosa and Neer Dosa ..Both were good ...Chutney was super tasty ...But sambhar was cold ..
P.S.-Lots of people were having punjabi dishes so will try them next time for sure ...

Malgudi Tiffin is located near Karishma society and has a good dine out space. The ambience is soothing.
I tried:-
1. Paper masala dosa- It was one of the best dosa I had. Paper dosa was humongous and had sambar with chutney. It was also accompanied by potato masala having cashews in it. Recommended!!

Ordered this Punjabi combo thali, it was really well presented, had jeera rice too and sweet dish included. Quality and taste of this thali was really good and fulfilling. We 2 ate from this thali and got totally full but I think quantity can be increased little bit more. Tandoor rotis weren't really like tandoor ones but yeah fine according to Pune. If you are alone and going to have it empty stomach then don't worry. You are going to be full with it 😋 ambiance is also cozy.
We had been here during lunch time but thought like trying their South Indian specialities. They have a vast menu. The taste & quality of food was top notch. The Goli Bhaje is a unique dish for Punekars & has very unique flavours with a mild sweet flavor. The staff is well-mannered and knowledgeable. The Coconut & Coffee ice cream was delicious as well. Thank you to the Malgudi Tiffins team for the super experience. One suggestions, visit using cab or a 2-wheeler since car parking is an herculean task.

A very good place for some delicious South Indian Food. We ordered Rava Masala dosa and Thatte Idli. Both were amazing. The sambar is quite balanced, but the chutney, not that much. But the combination of both is really delicious. Do give this place a try if you want some lip smacking South Indian food.

This plate idli was very soft and was bigger in size compared to traditional idli. #Sambar was too good sweet, tangy, spicy #AllinOne. Chutney was very average, did not appeal me.

Authentic South Indian taste!!!
Loved the Medu Wada and the chutneys they serve with it. I was craving for some nice tasty Medu Wada and was tired of the same restaurants in town. So I decided to visit this. The Wada was soo amazing that I couldn't wait to eat it. The size of Wada is Bigger than any other Medu Wada in town. The chutneys are tasty.
Davengiri dosa is a MUST TRY at this place.
Gola bhaji is something I want to try but it is available only at certain time. So 2-3 times I visited it was always not available. But I will keep visiting to try their local South Indian dishes.
The interior is simple, subtle and the most beautiful is the wall which has graphics or Malgudi Days. If you remember the TV series Malgudi days you will relate to the wall graphics.

'Malgudi' the name itself gives a nostalgic feeling. Visited this place only because of its name. They serve North Indian as well as south Indian food. This time tried only south Indian food.
Trust us they serve one of the yummiest south Indian food in the town. They have varieties of idli and dosa. There taste is authentic. With south Indian dishes, they serve sambar and two types of chutney. Sambar is perfect like tangy and spicy. And for chutney, they serve coconut and tomato-onion chutney.

This place satisfied my cravings for South Indian food with amazing quality, quantity and great service.
Went there for the first time to have their Dosa.
Ordered Plain Dosa and a filter coffee.
To my surprise the dosa was huge, crispy and soft at the same time, served hot alongside three dips. Sambar and 2 chutneys! Everything was yummy!
Coffee was up to the mark! Served hot and steamy, perfect taste and good quantity. Also they serve the coffee with Indian style, in steel cups.
They do serve other cuisines as well. We also had baby corn with mushrooms, they were nice and spicy. More than enough quantity and will be hard to savour for non spicy foodies!
Rates are decent, service is fast and seating area is spacious. A must try place indeed!

Great option for vegetarian food. They have improved a lot since last year. Although they have a large menu their south indian options are the best. Onion Uttapa is one of the best i have ever had.

Secondly had ordered appe because they are my favourites and were also well seasoned and flavoured accurately...the 2chutney accompaniments continued with appe as well...
Last but my favourite filter coffee ...
Coffee was okayish not very good was bit on a sweeter palate... i personally prefer my coffee strong and less sugar...

A good south indian restaurant was missing in Kothrud and Malgudi Tiffin has perfectly filled that void! Everything they have on the menu is well worth a try - be it Idli, Dosa, Medu wada or Masala Dosa. Special mention for Malgudi special masala dosa which was cooked in ghee and loaded with dry fruits. Even the Moode, which I'd never heard of before, were taste worthy. I haven't tried the north indian menu, but would like to give it a go soon.
The ambience is good and the service is prompt. The prices are reasonable and it's a no brainer if you are looking for a South Indian breakfast outlet in Kothrud!

After awaiting for a long time I finally get to eat at malgudi tiffin. I would say it’s the best meal I had in Pune ever. The food is as delicious as their cute and mouth watering name ! Must try. Neer Dosa is most recommend and their thali. Appam too!! I wish I could try everything on their menu 😋
Star of the veg restaurants on karve road. This restaurant has one of the best idli sambar dishes. Also, tea has an unique flavour. Main course is also fulfilling in taste to have occasionally.

Taste and quality is good, good variety on the menu card...but quantity of rice varieties and accompaniments in the Thali is very less, not just from the point of view of what is being paid for, but even it's insufficient to enjoy...rice bowl quantity may be increased, additional free chutney and sambar may be served as is served everywhere in South India...

The name was a puller for me, MALGUDI, reminded me of a very famous series MALGUDI DAYS, written by the famous writer RK Narayan about a simple place inhabited by simple people leading a simple yet interesting life and so was this place, simple and interesting both in looks and on palate, MALGUDI TIFFINS.
I had masala dosa and appe served with 2 chutneys and sambhar which not only looked delicious but was delicious too, they were fresh and flavourful.
I would highly recommend this place for good South Indian food.

I visited malgudi tiffin last week and absolutely loved the food. Ambience is okish and service is fast.
We ordered medu wada, Onion uttapa, neer dosa and davangeeee dosa. Each and every dish was lipsmacking.
Only the shape of medu wada was turn off.
Near to authentic taste. Liked a sambhar a lot. Perfect tangy and spicy it was. Coconut chutney was freshly made. Timaor chutney was also good.
Filter Kaapi was decent.
Quality and quantity was complimenting the price.

One best pocket friendly places in Kothrud to enjoy a tasty meal. We had ordered the below :
1. North Indian Thali : It was too delicious. The quantity of sabjis in Thali was the best thing. It consisted of Roti/Naan, 2 sabjis, 2 sweets, Tomato soup and Jeera rice plus salad.
2. South Indian Thali : I don't remember the exact names of the items... But anyways it was delicious.
3. Appam : excellent!
4. Neer Dosa : This was the dish of the day. Do try it our guys!!

We tried
1)Malgudi special moode:idlis wrapped in pine leaves.
The screw pine leaves alomst make it a mystry to open this parcel as it is filled with thorns keeping it intact and here they had added toothpics...In udipi,mangalore the speciality is use fragrant leaves to makimg steaming hot healthy idlis.Here they have two options.One was pine
Second was jackfruit.
We tried the first.This had unique and distinct taste and flavours.The cylindrical shape of the idle in mangalore means moode.The flavour of coconut oil is distinct with the delicious coconut white chutney.
2)Tatte idli:A very popular by upahara darshinis in mangalore,udipi.
Super soft,thick texture makes it different and made in a coating of podi masala gives it its unique flavour.
Served with medium spicy sambaar and delicious lip smacking white coconut chutney
3(Malgapodi idli:Gunpowder idli.Made unique in flavours because of karnataka uses white dessicated coconut and ghee paradise.
With just ghee,pinch of hing(aseofotida)gunpowder and the little pieces of idlis bob up and about with squeals of pur joy.
Served with medium spiced sambaar and white coconut chutney
4)Appe:Paniyaram or paddu.
Made with dosai batter,sweet red onions jewels,greenchilliesfresh teeny weeny coconut and this brings out the textures and flavours

The food is very good in taste. The location is easily accessible. You get to sit easily even in rush hours. They have managed chairs for people who are waiting in a queue. The environment is good. Service is nice. Dont try chats though. Go for pav cheese pav bhaji. It is yummmm. Starters are also delicious. If you want to take your family for a good dining, this restaurant could be a option. You won't be disappointed if you love good food. Good food, good life. 😉😋
One of the best breakfast joints in the kothrud area. Though the dishes on the menu may appear pricey, the price commanded is fully justified by the amazing quality of food served here. Don't forget to try paper dosa here or Ghee masala and top it up with tea as coffee costs a bomb at 40rs

It was a mix of dishes from Banglore/Manglore/Udpi & Kerla style. They also had North Indian style dishes and the taste of both the version is good.
We went their in the busy time during the Lunch hours and still the time taken to serve or the taste and the friendly behaviour of the Hotel was remarkable.
The ambience adds value to the sitting.
Also a suggestion to them to add more south style cookware to give a different feel.

A great place for South indian food with lots of options on the menu. A good spot for a quick bite of breakfast or lunch. The place is filled all the time and the seating areas are quite sorted and spacious. Do try their lunch options and the epic filter coffee. Sabudana Wada is a must try.
