I remember when I was little, whenever we used to visit Pune, we used to go here for dinner. This is the place where I discovered there is something called Chana Bhatura. No other restaurant during those day portrayed Chana Bhatura as their specialty dish. There is a nostalgia factor associated with this place. Now no way is this the best Chana Bhatura around but it is still quite good. I actually prefer Chole instead of the Chana. But still I love to go to this restaurant. It is located on Main Street which is my favorite place in Pune. The service is very fast and you don't have to wait long to be served. One thing I would suggest the restaurant management is to increase the quantity of the chana masala. It is not sufficient for one person and towards the end you are forced to be economical and resort to eating just one or two chanas with each bite of the bhatura coz you feel you will run out of the subzi before you finish your bread. Anyway I simply love this place coz it brings back childhood memories.
Their Chole Bhature is to die for. There is no need to say anything about it.

The ambience is pleasant but the restaurant is small and confined(how else can it be on MG road). The service was satisfactory and the prices were affordable. I had the channa bhature like all the rest of the restraunt was having seemed like everyone had heard/read about it as it was doing a lot of rounds on various food related pages. It wasnt bad at all piping hot bhattures channa was pretty yood too with just the right amount of tanginess all in all very good for 155 i think.
I couldnt find the chole bhatture on the menu while channa bhatture was mentioned on every page i dont even know if these are one and the same or different items.

Late post .Mona food one of the famous restaurants on MG road. Love the interiors specially the old photos of mg road. Going there from like my childhood. Love the chola Bhatura there. Recent visit had tried the paneer Kalimiri which was really nice and not the usual. Not sure everyone would love the strong pepper flavour but definitely worth a try .
Recently visited this place this place is most popular for chole bhature it's better to go early bcoz there will be waiting but it takes only 10min to wait. The chole bhature was soo delicious as expected the chole were cooked properly with good amount of spices and the bhature were nicely fried, the staff was kind and the ambience was pleasant loved it must visit.

It has never been so that I have gone to MG Road at about Lunch or Dinner time and I haven't had that meal at Monafood. Chole bhature served here are mind blowing, haven't had chole bhature better than this anywhere else. Also the other food served is great. The place is a very quaint and peaceful place offering decent ambience. I have been going to Monafood since my childhood and the taste has been very much the same. The portions served are decent, prices too are economical and service is prompt. I would definitely recommend you to have the chole bhature at monafood.

Whenever I think of Chole Bhature in Pune, I remember Monafood. They serve steaming hot, fresh chole bhature that is sufficient for your meal. To top it, you can order kulfi or milk shake and you are done to optimum level of hunger satisfaction :-)

A few days back I went this place and ordered their special chana batura. I must say this was the best batura I have ever eaten in pune. It costs only 120 bucks for that large ,soft, tasty batura . chana masala was very yammy. Its completely worth of money.I will visit there again.
