Good ambience ..lovely food ,maintain it...
Love the food! Love it! Awesome!
Beautiful place and delicious food with lovely ambience.
So went to this place on a weekday so it was less people in restaurant which I like most of the times and we ordered gourmet food: Mac and cheese chilli poppers and noodle wrapped paneer with it two mocktails called as watermelon lemonade and kokum orange...
So, the review, place is nice decent interior for an veg gourmet restaurant, good ambience it is two floor but we settled on the first one..over to food and service, the above mentioned dishes were good in taste crisp and soft inside and coupling it with mocktails was good idea kokum orange was bit tangy and spicy while watermelon lemonade was sweet refreshing and service was very good courteous staff to serve food it was delightful experience at this place do visit with your family and friends if they like gourmet food!!!
Nice, clean very casual place.
The food was nice. Presentation excellent.
I would like to see more options in the starters menu.
But crowded atmosphere on weekends, though we were served on time.. Good varieties in menu since it's a complete veg menu.. Would love to try more varieties
Welcome staff and an accessible location makes this place a perfect hangout or say dine out place. It’s kind of go to place and near from everywhere. I think personally the veg kitchen has a step daughterly treatment as compared to the bar one which is so good and looked after. No wonder about that but there is decent crowd in Pune who usually dine out. The taste is okayish and the portion too isn’t very large. However there is something in the place that you wish to come back to.
Really good veg restaurant I've been to so far. Had one of the best khau suey till date. Really good and relaxing atmosphere and feel fresh.
There are days and times when you just visit a vegetarian restaurant for the sake of your friends and obviously this place was so much talked about. The hospitality and staff would amaze you with the knowledge they have with the dishes they serve. Soothing sort of ambiance
We started with mocktails recommended by Amrita. Date and Jaggery Colada, Blueberry Cheesecake Shake, Cucumber and Curry Leaf Lemonade, Pineapple Yuzu and Jalapeno Sour. All of these had a very different taste and a twist to the usual drink you find anywhere else. My favorite amongst these was Cucumber and Curry Leaf Lemonade with the refreshing yet tangy punch.
Coming to Soups, Asian Wonton and Tender Coconut and Corn was our pick. Asian wonton actually had wontons in the soup justifying it's name, which I personally loved.
For Appetizers. we again went with the restaurant suggestions and they surprised our taste buds with every other dish served. Mac N Cheese Chili Poppers, Crispy Lotus Stem, Chhole Paneer Triangle, and Thai Banana Leaf Wrapped Paneer were served. I am crazily a fan of Chhole Paneer Triangle now.
We were intrigued by the pizza options they had so it was a must for us to try! Ortolano Pizza and Roast Veggies Pizza were served and I fell in love with every bite that I had. I dig it big time
Now, we already had high hopes from the mains so we ordered Burmese Khao Suey & Mac N Cheese Bake. I remember not wasting a single bite of any of the dishes ordered because we couldn't keep our hands off.
To finish our meal, we ordered much heard Falooda for dessert.
Not to forget, they offer 30% discount on Mondays to Thursdays from 9 AM to 7 PM. This is the real deal.
This vegetarian restaurant is located in Erandwane, Pune. It's a nice place with good ambience suitable for all kinds of get togethers. The staff are very friendly and courteous too.
So here is a description of what I tried in this place:
_Mocktails_
Date and Jaggery Colada:
Well this is the first time I tried a mocktail like this and I must say it was quite impressive.
Blueberry Cheesecake Shake:
Well this drink was a bit on the heavier side which made me feel that I was full. Otherwise it's a good one.
Cucumber and Curry Leaf Lemonade:
Now coming to this drink, it was very refreshing with the hint of Curry leaves which gave a different effect.
Pineapple Yuzu and Jalapeno Sour:
This drink was a bit on the sour side and was quite good.
_Soups_
Asian Wonton:
This soup was very good in taste and best suited for winter evenings.
Tender Coconut and Corn:
This was the first time I tried this kind of a soup. It's quite nice but one must develop it's taste to love it.
_Appetizers_
Mac N Cheese Chili Poppers:
These were very yummy and perfect to lick start an amazing meal.
Crispy Lotus Stem:
This is the second time I have tried and lotus stem dish and I must say I am getting aligned to it's taste.
Chhole Paneer Triangle:
These were also very good with the perfect balance of spices.
Thai Banana Leaf Wrapped Paneer:
I am not much a fan to Thai cuisine but this dish was very yummy. And the unique way in which it was wrapped in banana leaf gave it a very impressive look.
_Pizza_
Ortalano Pizza:
This pizza was a treat to the taste buds. It is actually an answer to the pizza cravings.
Roast Veggies:
The roasted veggies were very good with enough spices and cooked properly
_Mains_
Burmese Khao Suey:
This Burmese style dish which comprised of noodle and various other spices just amazed me.
Mac N Cheese Bake:
Baked Mac and cheese is my all time favorite and this one here didn't fail to satisfy my.
_Desserts_
(Izzat ka) Falooda:
The Falooda here is quite good and perfectly sweet. One can surely order this dish if here.
Overall this is a very nice place and must be visited atleast once for some amazing veg delicacies.
This place is a jewel in the crown of Kothrud. They serve some lip-smacking food. Worried about the parking? They have their personal parking space which is quiet spacious. The place has a really good ambiance, cozy enough to comfort your family.
Coming to the food, they have an amazing menu which have some interesting dishes that you must try.
The dishes that I had here are,
Mocktails: -
Date and Jaggery Colada: - By the name itself we can say that the mocktail is something very different. The mocktail is more on a sweeter side but it tastes just amazing.
Blueberry Cheesecake Shake: - Again a drink that will blow off your mind. The drink was very creamy and the taste of blueberry was prominent. It had a perfect amount of sweetness according to me.
Cucumber and Curry Leaf Lemonade: - An amazing combination of a Lemonade with cucumber and curry leaves. It gives a nice after taste of curry leaves. You will surely enjoy this drink.
Pineapple Yuzu and Jalapeno Sour: - A drink that has a very well balanced sour and spicy taste. The after taste of the drink is just mind-blowing.
Soups: -
Asian Wonton Soup: - An amazing burst of flavors in the soup that will surely not let you stop from having it. It has prominent flavors of lemongrass that adds to the freshness that the soup provides.
Tender Coconut and Corn: - This Soup was more on a subtle side with a very fresh flavor of the tender coconut. The soup had a really nice consistency and the best part is they did not use cornstarch to thicken the soup.
Mac N Cheese Chilly Poppers: - Tried these beauties and trust me they are to die for. The color and the crispiness was just perfect and the taste was just amazeballs.
Crispy Lotus Stem: - Crisp, Tangy and sweet, what a combination. Just lip-smacking.
Chhole Paneer Triangles: - These are just amazing. The chhole are cooked just the way they are cooked in the up north. The outer covering, crisp and over all the dish is a masterpiece.
Ortalano Pizza: - A thin crust pizza which has a good amount of toppings and also that tastes heavenly.
Also had the Burmese Khao Suey and the Mac N Cheese Bake which were equally amazing.
Had the Falooda in dessert and I must tell you this falooda is the best ever I had in Pune!
Over all this place is a place that will serve you good food with lots of love! A must visit place in the vicinity of Kothrud.
The place has a very welcoming and spacious ambience which can be enjoyed with families and friends.
I loved their interriors and the way they have arranged the seating area.
Their service was quick, the staff was very humble and supportive throught the dining experience.
Coming to the food,
In the mocktails we tried the jaggery and date colada, a very intresting yet unusual one. The taste was amazingly brilliant.
The blueberry cheescake shake was heavnly.
Not to miss the cucumber and curry leaf lemonade which was very refreshing.
In the starters we tried the mac and cheese chilli poppers, filled with lots of cheese and perfectly cooked macoroni, with a crispy outer layer. Every bite was a blissfull experience.
The chole paneer triangle was the show stealer, the stuffing was delicious, full of flavours and delectable taste and a thin but crispy outside layer.
The crispy lotus stem was equally amazing.
Oratalano pizza was delectable, thin crust (which by the way dint turn into a hard base which you usually get to experience with thin crust) with veggies on top, one of the best pizza i had in a while. The base was perfectly baked.
The mac and cheese bake was creamy, cheesy and very appetizing.
Burmese khao suey was again the show stealer with its delectable flavours and amazing taste in every bite.
The last but the best the falooda, nothing can be best than the falooda we had in the end, it summarised the experience in a sweet ending.
Overall i loved the place, a must visit for its scrumpatious food and welcoming environment.
The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering starters followed by the main course, specially designed for youngsters and adults. The main course lasagne. This was really thrilling. 😊 All the cuisines were fresh and refreshing. .... the owner is full of warmth and thoughtful of his guests. He is always around ready to hear all types of experiences from you and the rest of the guests.👍. . Because of the brilliant atmosphere and delicious food and service, I highly recommend going to Kalinga Veg Gourmet kitchen restaurant
Vegetarian folks should definitely visit this place. The place is new done and has different interiors at every floor. The family section is comfortable and well lit.
Coming to food there are tons of options to choose from. Every dish has details regarding what goes in. The menu is written in English and Marathi which is amazing since a few dishes are difficult to translate and it's best to have the ingredients list in Marathi for the locals. Service is quick and the staff is courteous. Definitely worth exploring.
Pics attached are of two starters - Dal Pakwan and Noodles wrapped Paneer.
I am rating 5☆ because we spent our evening well here. It was a birthday party and staff helped us in every single manner. Food selection is very difficult here since they have so many options available. Food quality is good especially we liked aloo mutter and burnt garlic rice. Ambience is ok i would rate 3.5☆. Price is competitive.
So basically i had been to Kalinga just for the kulfi faluda and it is value for money. If you are a faluda lover then you need to have it here once.
A great addition to the food culture of Kothrud. Vegetarians rejoice!
Have visited/ordered quite a few times from this place and each time the food met our expectations at times exceeded them. Recommended!
Keep it up (that's more important)!
Ambience is good, calm and relax place for dinner with friends and family. Staff is polite. Service is also quick.
We have ordered :
Cheese cake
Cream tomato soup
Veg manchow
Mac and chilli cheese
Paneer pasanda
Masala papad curd jeera pulav
Food 3.5/5 I love the mac and chilli cheese which was very soft from inside and crunchy. Really good to try .
Panner pasanda was as expected. I didn't like the cheese cake
P.s Seating was not comfortable as there was alot of confusion among staff. We have to change place thrice from 3 rd floor to 2nd floor and so on . Finally we got place. This place is little crowdy.
Wild Mushroom Croquettes
Watermelon & Kafffir lime lemonade
The ultimate veggie hoagie
Black veinegar planner baos
Crispy shell takos- vinegar panner
Chocolate fudge Brownie
This was the menu we choose..
Great food..the menu is crafted beautifully..it's the details mentioned about the dishes is so nice..
The pan Asia section is nice...
The Executive Chef dose brilliant job..the taste I would like to mention the Taco's 🌮 woow what a combination rajma and panner.. blended so well and then suddenly you get a bit of jalapenos fantastic..
Staff is so promising and prompt..
Loved it
This place offers some good varieties of European and Asian cuisine veg dishes. This place is on the Main road and very easy to spot + finding a parking here won't be much of a problem as they have a pretty big parking of their own.
The ambience here is simple and cozy. The management here is very good and the owner is always around to look after their customers. The service here is really good too.
Coming to the food!
I personally tried :
1) Chole Paneer Triangles : These were basically Samosas stuffed with paneer and Pindi chole topped with dahi and sweet and spicy chutneys. My only issue with this dish was that I couldn't really taste any Paneer and the Pindi chole dominated the taste. But if you consider it as A chole samosa then the taste was actually great and the flavors were beautifully balanced because of dahi and chutneys.
2) Dal Pakwaan : This place has taken a different take on it's Dal Pakwan. This was Dal topped with chutneys and served with broken Pakwan so that you could eat the Dal & Pakwan like a Chip n Dip dish. The Dal was rich and creamy and very subtle in it's flavors and the Pakwan added a nice crunchy element to the dish.
3) Dimsum & Sauce : These were Corn & Chestnut dumplings served with Ginger and Soy sauce. I loved the combination of flavors of Chestnut and Corn and the dumplings were perfectly cooked but the sauce was just way too sweet. You couldn't really get that Ginger and Soy flavors hit because of too much sweetness.
4) Pulled Bhuna Kathal : This was my 2nd favorite dish here. It's basically pulled Jack fruit which is cooked in Indian masalas and then served in a paratha roll. This dish was served with fries and lettuce salad. The hero here was that Pulled Jack Fruit. It was mildly spicy and that pulled Jack Fruit gave had a meaty texture and I loved that.
5) Fried Mozzarella : These were like spicy mozzarella patties. The outer coating had a nice hit of spice and herbs to it which complemented that melting mozzarella in those patties and c'mon honestly who doesn't like fried cheese dishes!!!
This was my most favorite dish here.
6) Mushroom Cheese Melt : This was basically a Mushroom and three cheese Panini sandwich. The mushroom had herb flavors and butter garlic flavor to it and the three cheeses just made it really a melt in mouth sandwich. I never in my life had such a fresh Panini bread ever. It was so good. I could just keep hogging on that bread alone.
7) Coconut & Corn Soup : The soup was light corn soup with other ingredients like tofu , carrots, peas. The unique thing about this dish is that they add coconut water and tender coconut to it. You cannot taste the coconut flavors differently as such but it does give a nice touch of sweet flavors to the corn soup.
8) Paneer Makhani Argenteuil : What's different about this dish? Well they asparagus to it which leaves a very subtle and pleasant asparagus aftertaste. The Makhani gravy was rich and creamy and the Paneer was soft and cooked beautifully!!
9) a) Red Velvet Ice cream Tender b) Tender Coconut Ice cream : These ice creams are made in house by this restaurant. People don't usually spend on a simple dessert like ice cream in a restaurant and prefer going to some ice cream parlor but let me tell you this....
You'll miss the beautiful ice cream this place has to offer if you do that here. Usually ice cream gets all the ice flaky texture but this ice cream was just nice and milky and a little dense and it felt like eating a really Gourmet ice cream. The red velvet cake is infused in the Red Velvet ice cream and nice Coconut chunks in the Tender Coconut ice cream. The tender coconut flavor is soooo goood. These ice creams are a must try!! ❤️❤️
From the drinks I personally liked : 1) Fresh Orange Caprioska(cocktail) 2) Peach & Mint slushie(mocktail) 3) Cucumber curry leaf lemonade(mocktail).
Overall this place is great one to visit along with your family and enjoy some delicious veg food!
Visited Kalinga Veg Gourmet Kitchen few days back

The food we ate was very tasty and the staff was very hospitable.
The restaurant serves amazing starters. They provide all type of cuisine like Maharashtrian to Mughlai and Italian to oriental..
They have a very unique menu. We ordered starters- Paneer triangle, baby naan, crisp roll tacos, bruschetta trio,
Main course- methi palak saag, Amritsari alu kulcha, Thai green curry with steamed rice.
Everything was just delicious..😋
If you want to eat a lot and quality food I totally recommend this restaurant!
I have been waiting really long to visit this place and now finally I visited the place. I visited the Kalinga last evening and the vibe you get is amazing. One thing which I liked the most was there customized menu where dishes pics are displayed so you can choose easily.
I had ordered the Dal Pakwaan and Fried Mozzarella and pulled bhuna kathal. It was super delicious. Pulled bhuna kathal was scrumptious one of the fines dish not to miss out there, Honestly, I was looking forward to the desert also because I have heard a lot and was a bit hungry so tried theirs. so tied ice cream of this place. I had coconut made ice cream, it was so creamy, sweet and tangy and had the fresh taste. If you are looking for veg restaurant Kalinga is the best choice for you with fine dining and awesome food.
Their Icecream pastries are highly recommended along with Dal Pakwaan.
5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for ambiance and customized menu !!!!
Awesome experience in terms of service, food and ambience. Delicious food with different varieties. Good experiments like vilaayti sabji, Italian, Indian food.
This is pretty place to be visited with family or friends. Food is great, place is clean, staff is friendly, has proper knowledge of what is on the menu, and there are a variety of items in the menu. Overall you will have a wholesome experience.
The place is spacious, cozy, lovely and comfortable.
The hospitality is amazing.
Tender Coconut and Corn Soup - One of the best soup I ever had. It was clear soup with lot of corn and veggies. Everything was fresh and cooked well. The taste of tender coconut with corn and veggies was flawless.
Chole Paneer Triangles - Its a samosa filled with sauteed chole and paneer. It served with Dahi and Green Chutney. Everything together tastes like Chaat. Single bite gives you all the flavours.
Max n Cheese Poppers - The Mac n cheese used was cooked well and the poppers were fried properly. They were cheesy and tasty.
Fried Mozzarella - I had this first time in my life. The cheese pull is amazing. It was cheesy, crispy and delicious.
Dal Pakwan - The pakwan was served with semi solid dal and green chutney. The pakwan was not thick and dal was cooked well. The taste of all together was mind-blowing. It was crispy, little tangy and spicy.
Dimsum and Sauce - The dimsums were dipped in a sauce with chillies and ginger. They were steamed properly. The dimsums with the sauce tastes luscious. It was spicy with the hint of ginger and chilly.
Pulled Bhuna Kathal - One of the best roll I ever had in my life. The roll was stuffed with kathal that is kacha jackfruit. The masalas used with the kathal was speechless. It was tasty, superb and something which will satisfy your cravings.
Paneer Makhani Argenteuil - Its a paneer makhani with asparagus used in making it. The taste is subtle. It was less spicy, little tangy and tasty.
Red Velvet Icecream - This is their in house product. The texture is pure milky with presence of red velvet. It was heavenly.
Tender Coconut Icecream - If you love tender coconut you need to try this. It have small chunks of tender coconut inside it. It's in house product. It had balanced sweetness, was flavourful and scrumptious.
This is not your average veg serving restaurant. The chefs have amplified the dishes familiar to us and also invented some new ones. They have a very friendly and welcoming hospitality team.
About the dishes- I can firmly say the food served very hatke. The menu is very vast. The best part about the menu is its in English as well as in Hindi, so is the description below it. I loved it how they are making us literate in terms of food.
I started with a mocktail- Mango Mint Colada. The colada was unlike anything I had tried before. The coconut milk in it was so very creamy but not in a overpowering way. I could taste the mango with a dash of mint which gave it a really nice freshness. Totally loved it. In starters i had Dal pakwan and pan- seared ravioli. You NEED to try the dal pakwan, it was so good that i'll never eat it on the street again. To my surprise the ravioli was served on a creamy bed of hummus with tabouleh salad. At the first glimpse of it i was questioning my choices, but it was literally gourmet. A very original dish which a must try.
I also had their Gnocchi Gratin. This one is a tough contender to any famous italian restaurant in town. It was super creamy and fresh. Best part was it was loaded with cheese.
In main course ordered their Burmese Khao Suey. This is my personal favorite. I had a chance to meet the owner she said everyday they make their coconut milk from scratch. In the khow suey you can taste their mehnat and also their dedication to serve the best. For the dessert the owner suggested their coconut ice cream which is not your average one. It is way more intense and has really natural taste. Loved it.
I absolutely loved the restaurant. It has a very homely vibe. They serve their food with utmost dedication and love, which can be tasted in the food. I will surely be back for more. ❤
Good place to hangout with your family.... Nice ambience and good food....Service is also good and fast. It also has good parking space available on the ground floor.....
Well, I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this restaurant is! It's so good, words aren't enough to do justice to this super awesome place! We have been to Kalinga Veg Gourmet. To our surprise, the dishes we ordered were super delicious. One should try Sage Butter Gnochi Dumplings, Tossed Paneer, Chole Triangles and many more. Quick service, polite and friendly staff. Comfortable seating area.
Kalinga Veg Gourmet Kitchen is by now well known in the area around kothrud, Erandwane and surrounding. You can go here for a full meal or quick bites since they have all day #desi and #videsi breakfast as well Indian, Italian and Asian menu.
We tried Sage butter gnocchi and paneer barbeque pizza.
Sage butter gnocchi [my rating 3.5/5, priced 260/-] was pan fried dumplings served in spicy arrabiatta sauce. Dumplings were done well and seared nicely but they felt more of a mashed potato dumplings rather than riccotta cheese. Do try if you have liking for Italian food. Portion size is very good. #recommended
Panner barbeque pizza [my rating 4/5, priced 325/-] was thin crust hand rolled pizza. It was very delicious with apt amount of cheese n paneer. Smoky barbeque sauce was spot on. #lightpizaa #highlyrecommended
Overall a nice experience once again and a comparitively #hatke vegetarian menu in Kothrud vicinity.
#highlyappreciate their save water message placed on each table. You don't need for someone to put the rule or law, you can be a trendsetter yourself.
Happy eating !
I'm a devoted non vegetarian. When a friend said we'll go to a Veg restaurant I was very skeptical. I've been a regular in the other kalinga so decided to give this place a try.
I entered the restaurant with "Veg me kya hota hai Paneer, mushrooms ke alawa" mindset. Hence played safe and ordered Blue Bay Iced tea- a cocktail. Really loved it. For food I asked the captain for their specialties. Taking his advice we ordered Thai Banana Leaf wrap from their appetizers along with Piri Piri Arbi Tuk as my friend had never tried arbi. A read dal pakwan in the menu so ordered that too. The banana leaf wrap was a packaged surprise for me as it tasted so amazing. The arbi tuk was fried until it achieved crispy crust which complemented well with the piri piri spice.
We had a chance to meet the owner she suggested us their tender coconut and corn soup. The soup was unlike something I've ever had. It was really subtle and mild. All the natural flavors were nicely maintained.
After having all these delicious dishes I was more eager on trying their main course. As we were partially full we decided to try Burmese Kaukswe . It was served with stir fried noodles and a creamy curry. After putting in all the sides i.e. toppings it tasted even better. The curry was addictively soooooo gooooooooooddd.
After having so many dishes we were really falling in love with the vegetarian food here.
A meal is incomplete without a dessert hence ordered Kulfi Falooda. Its was as amazing as all the other dishes we tried. It was very creamy and perfectly sweetened. I have grown fond of this place and all the food. I was prejudiced before entering the restaurant but left with an open mind about vegetarian food.
Overall the experience at this place was a solid 10/10. Everyone is the staff including the owner was very welcoming and were happy to suggest you something different from the menu. I'm sure I will visit this place super soon.
Excellent taste and prompt service, a nice place to visit and have pure veg gourmet food. Must try if u visit or stay in pune. Tried paneer kalimiri, paneer jugalbandi and burnt garlic fried rice. The burnt garlic rice was on point and great in taste, quality is good, the service is great.
It was tasty experience with delicious ambience...goto place for a foodie person and suitable for family outing too..had foodie evening there. You need to be there for atleast 2-3 times to taste multicuisines.
Purva (thegirlgobbler)
+5
Kalinga Veg Gourment Kitchen located in Erandwane. A nirvana for vegetarians right in Pune. It has a very nice and cozy ambiance. Capacious place in the middle of all the hustle bustle of Pune.
They newly introduced pure veg restaurant with bar which is a rare combination. They serve all types of cocktails, signature made according to your taste.
Started with English Vinglish salad
Then the starters
Chole Panner Triangle, Peri Peri Arbi Tuk, Crackling yellow corn and the Teekha Aam Panner Tikka.
The Arbi Tuk (a Sindhi dish) is perfect bar snacks, kids will love too..Chatpata addictive flavour; who would say no to the chatpata flavour.
Also recommend, my all time favourite, the crackling corn which is really crispy.
The main course had Burmese khowsuey, Frangnant Rice, Dal Makhani Argenteuill, Parda Naan, Koyla Daal Makhani. Each of these was more and more flavoursome than the last. Couldn’t stop eating even though we were full. The Khowsuey keeps you longing for more and more.
Last but not the least the dessert
Have heard people coming from all the corners to this place just for falooda, n it was totally worth the hype.
The falooda had Layers n layers of rich ingredients with blueberry pulp at bottom. Best way to finish a dinner.
To all the non vegetarians out there visit this place once it will make you reweigh your opinion on vegetarian food.
If you're Ashoka the King then this place is actually your empire! This is no place to traditional menu, this is true Gourmet Experience. One thing I will insist in suggesting, don't hesitate to try new dishes here. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. We were so into the food that we forgot to click all the pictures, the below one is of dimsums which we tried and were really nice.
Ambience: 4/5
Value for money: 5/5
Service: 4/5
At Kalinga they not only take care about the food that they provide you. But also if you notice they serve you half glass of water. Not only that they even have offers for our Indian forces.
Have never had such a variety of options in a Veg restaurant. Trust me they have variety of dishes that "paneer" would be the last option you would want to have.
1) Ambiance - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
2) Food - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
3) Service - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The BEST veg restaurant I've ever visited in Pune .
Food - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We started of with blueberry Cheese Shake and Red Velvet Cheese Shake. They both were amazing but not too sweet. Then we had the spicy lotus stem and spicy crispy Chesnuts. As the name suggests they were really spicy and crisp upto the point . We also had the Mexican bhel which is basically a corn bhel with Mexican spicies and even Nachos. Then we had the Dal Pakwan . The mathri was crisp and the dal with chutneys was just perfect.
I almost forgot about the soup. I had tender Coconut with Corn soup and it had absolutely no starch. The was made from coconut water which you feel once you taste it 😋
For the main course we had BBQ Paneer Pizza , Gnocchi Gratin and Malaysian Curry. The Malaysian Curry was too good with proper coconuty curry and different types of mushrooms. The Gnocchi Gratin was really cheesey and pesto sauce flavor was enhanced.
Finally the desserts arrived . We has in-house red velvet icecream and the Falooda. The best part of the meal was the Falooda even though we were full we managed to finsh it . 😘 Definitely try the Falooda here..
"Heaven in Erandwane area", Haven for vegetarians, Kalinga veg gourmet kitchen is perfect option if you looking for good veg food with lots of variety, Go for KALINGA!

Asian wonton soup: it was good, spicy soup with well cooked wontons, personally i like fried wontons so wontons in soup is not my bowl of soup, but taste of soup was so perfect!
Starters:
Paneer chole triangles: I am a huge fan of chole and this dish made me happy, deep fried triangles, can say it thin crust samosa with delicious filling of paneer and chole, drizzled with yummy sauce.
Dal pakwan: i had dal pakwan for very first time here, Garnishing was so perfect, thick daal topped with pakwan, so perfect and taste was also perfect! must try...
Twice cooked polenta fries: Healthy fries are here! made with cornmeal, crispy outside, soft inside. served with a delicious sauce.
Old school sesame toast: two soft and crunchy piece of bread with lots of sesame seeds. Try it if you love sesame seeds.
Dahi til ki tikki.
Thai banana leaf wrap.
Main Course:
Amritsari Pindi Chole: This dish is pure love! kala/pindi chana with the great spices which makes this dish very delicious, served with roti and onions.
Fusilli Pesto pasta: Perfectly cooked fusilli pasta was so impressive because fusilli pasta is bit hard to cook perfectly comparatively to other types of pasta. Pesto sauce was also good and creamy. must have this pasta!
Thai curry & steamed Rice: Coconut flavor gives any dish a creamy touch, thai curry at kalinga veg gourmet kitchen is a good example. thai curry goes perfect with steam rice but personally i liked the curry with fragrant rice, just my personal opinion.
Spinach and ricotta Dumplings: Dumpling served in a good spicy gravy, so good in taste fragrant rice is good option for spinach and ricotta dumplings. both have great flavors so tastes even better together.
That is all, Delicious veg food treat!
My favorite, Desserts time!!!
Brownie with ice cream: Size of brownie was so big enough for a chocolate lover and big scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate and caramel. Heaven!!! Presentation was so tempting,
so mouth watering dessert ever!
Strawberry cheesecake: My most favorite dessert is cheesecake, so smooth cheesecake with strawberry topped on it and a chocostick, but base was not that smooth, bit hard but its ok, taste was heavenly good!
Ambiance and service was great.
probably definition of the 'Prefect Restaurant'
Live, Love, Eat!
Kalinga Veg Gourmet kitchen is a must visit for everyone..even people who never prefer to eat veg food outside. The place is located in Erandwane (Kothrud) and will redefine your perception of veg food. There is so much more to veg food than Paneer and Pulao and Kalinga Veg Gourmet has unending options to bowl you over with their gourmet veg food offerings.
I was there last week and was awestruck with the magnanimity of the place. Abhishek and Amrita Shetty own the place and there are various offerings within the premises with Kalinga Veg Gourmet being one of them and located on ground and second floor.
The place greets you with cartoons by Mario Miranda (famous Goan cartoonist) on the walls and since I am a fan I was hooked on to it.
Let me get to the dishes I really loved and would highly recommend:
Blueberry Cheeseshake: Thick shake with fresh blueberry flavors to it. They use fresh fruits and not syrup to make their shakes. That was a great start, eh!?
Tender coconut and corn soup: Clear soup made in coconut water and not normal water, lots of veggies and no cornflower. Super taste and healthy.
Mexican Bhel: Nice and spicy, the quantity surprised me..a real value for money dish. While we are at that, the pricing here is very very reasonable for the quality they offer.
Dal Pakwan was next, I am a lover of this dish and there are very few places that serve it. Absolutely amazing taste - tangy, spicy, a bit sweet - all in one bite.. fab!!
Spicy sticky chestnuts: Something that we don't have regularly, a very good dish, I almost wiped off the plate.
BBQ Pizza was a delight. Thin crunchy crust, lots of greens, sauce, cheese and the smokey flavor was so distinct. A must have!!
Gnocchi Gratin: Gnocchi is pasta consisting of various soft and thick dough dumplings. The taste was wonderful. It was my first Gnocchi experience and I highly recommend that you try this.
We ended with red velvet icecream and Kulfi Falooda, both of which were amazing but a special mention for the Falooda. I can stick my neck out and say that this is the best falooda in town and I will travel distance to have this.
Overall a great place to dine be it a dinner date or with family. Parking is not an issue with the place boasting of their own automated multilevel parking with 80 slots (probably only restaurant in Pune which has this parking facility). The service is quick and staff is helpful.
O man what a place. The menu is unending and the variety is so much. The service so quick and the staff is extremely well behaved. The taste is amazing and the quantity is also good. Definitely going to visit again and again till I try most of the dishes from the menu card.its also not heavy on pocket. Going there with a group of friends will be great as you will be able to try many things.
A pretty nice place to eat, Kalinga.
We went in at around 4, so the restaurant was almost empty.
Started off with masala papads.
The tomato soup, served with cheese toast sandwich was an interesting combo and I would recommend it as a must try. Dahi ke kebab were really underwhelming. It was more like a patty. The flours totally masked the flavor of curd.
The malai broccoli however was creamy and delicious. The portions of both these starters were decent.
We quickly moved to main course to satiate the hunger and there lied the best part. A 2 in 1 dish named Paneer Jugalbandi which had 2 perfectly divided gravys and both tasting amazing along with butter rotis and Nans. I am giving 0.5 extra stars just for the jugalbandi dish.
Jeera rice was good too.
Desserts in the menu did not seem very tempting. Hence, we decided to skip.
There is not much to say about the ambience. Just functional, nothing fancy!
All in all, a good place to try with the variety of food and good service.
This is my favourite veg restaurant. They have a wide variety of menu, you simply wont find anywhere else. Very pleased with the service. The food is amazingly delicious. Love to the chef and staff. You people are doing it great. ♥️
Been here for the second time! No complaints! The food quality has always been nice. ( My cousin had been there with me it was her forth time ) tasty and well cooked food! Classic Lasagna was a repeat due to its taste. Tried crackling yellow corn which wasn't disappointing! Must try. Had chole Panner triangle ( yum and heavy ) and Chili garlic noodles ( not too much garlic - saved ) which were nice! It was filling for 3 of us! Sufficient quantity!
Great service as always!
There is a lot of variety from Asian to Italian to Indian food.
Had been here a week ago. Ordered a bunch of things.
Initially for starters we had pan seared ravioli, the coating I thought was a little thick and opaque, wasn't easy cutting it up with a fork.
The tacos were not very well seasoned, could have been better.
For mains we had the ortolano pizza and grilled cheese Panini (which contains a chilli jam).
With the Panini they served french fries and some salad which complemented it well.
The pizza had a nice crisp crust and good flavour.
For desserts we had a fudge brownie topped with vanilla ice cream. It was indeed very chocolate-y.
Over all experience was good!
The staff is very well trained and friendly.
I'm not a vegetarian! I'm a Dessertarian!
.
The glass is full of '' Ice-Cream Falooda ''
Falooda is an Indian dessert which is made out of Kulfi and Rabdi. This Falooda was so thick, soft and sticky that I am still drooling over it.
.
I had this amazing Falooda @kalingaveggourmet .
📷 Ice-Cream Falooda ( ₹200 )
Perfect combination of Kulfi Ice Cream, Radi, Sabja, Vermicelli, Jelly, Milk with Rose syrup and Nuts ❤️
Kattar non-vegetarians often hesitate to visit a pure veg restaurant, but i assure you all meat eaters, this is the place which will make you forget meat and enjoy the vegetarian protein and other delicacies at its best!
Located on the busy road just opposite manohar mangal karyalay, it is a beauty in itself when it comes to the facade. It looks so appealing and makes you wanna go there.
I had a few dishes here-
1. Mulligatawny soup - one of the origins of south india, this soup has crawled its way into various parts of the world. Really delicious and not at all spicy but jam packed with flavors, its a treat to the tongue.
2. English vinglish - one of the heavenly salads i have tasted till date! Thats right. A salad is heavenly! All the dry fruits, vegetables, sauces all of them make you dig in more!
3. Peri peri arbi tuk - if you like spicy food, this is the dish you must have. Beautiful fried vegetable and tossed in their peri peri mix, its a delicious dish! Highly recommended
4. Crackling yellow corn - its an art to deep fry corn and not make it into popcorn. And deep fried corn in the beautiful tasty batter is mouth watering. The sweetness from the corn and the delicious batter cannot make you have just a bit of it. Highly recommended
5. Teekha aam paneer tikka - who would have thought a mango could be used with paneer? Well the combination is delicious! The mango spice mix stuffing inside the paneer and then put in the tandoor to get that char! Yum!
6. Fragrant rice - one of a kind this dish is! Fragrant rice is the rice which tastes delicious without any supporting ingredient. Just eating the rice will make you want to eat more.
7. Burmese khao suey - this dish never fails to amaze me and this time the flavours were top notch. I ate with a twist. Had it with the fragrant rice and it was delicious! Putting the green chilli instead if red adds that flavour to the dish! Highly recommended!
8. Koyla dal makhni - why have the regular dal makhni when you can get smoke infused dal makhni which will make your tastebuds dance! Jam packed full of flavour! Beautiful creamy and delicious!
9. Kulfi falooda - before ordering the starters and main course, make sure you leave sone soace for this delicious dessert! Never have i tried such tasty falooda ever! Layers of happiness in a single mug! Loved it to the bottom!
The ambiance is mind blowing and the service is so good! Will definitely visit this place again and again and again. Loved it!
I highly recommend the crackling yellow corn, peri peri arbi tuk and koyla dal makhni!
Also they have their monsoon offer where you get 30% off on your food between monday to thursday 9am to 7pm. Go and grab your discount now!
Good place for a good family dinner. Ambience ia awesome and the food is yummy. Drinks are priced moderately but the service and the tasty food stands out.
The first question which a non vegetarian would think before entering the restaurant is why Why I spend here when I can spend on non-veg but to tell you frankly the food here is answer to all your questions.
I went there with my friends and was quite impressed with the way the staff treat the customers suggesting them the specialities. I am a fan of their mulligatawny soup which is rare to find in restaurants. The restaurant serves amazing starters like arbi peri peri which the most crisp stuff I've tried ever along with crispy corn . Their salad English vinglish is super delicious. The menu ranges from European to thai and Indian cuisine. Their khow suey is my favourite and undoubtedly the most amazing I've had in a long time. Would definitely recommend everyone to try this
Amazing place for Vegetarians!!! Best Multi cuisine restaurant.Great Ambience courteous staff and loved the tastePlace was crowded.Reservation neededMenu is unique!
We OrderedTomato Bisque,Tender coconut and corn soup,Mulligatawny,Badam ka shorba,Peri-peri arbi tuk,Bhuna kathal,Paneer jugalbandi,Vilayti Sabji,Kulfi Faluda,Fudge Brownie,Cheese cake of the day,Kokum & Orange sling,Peach & mint slushie We had a great Expireance here!!!*Must Visit*!!!
Ordered badam shorba, tomato soup, maligatawny soup and english vinglish- a kale based salad, french fries, dahi tikki for starter. In the main course we had pav bhaji, curd rice, paneer tikka masala, pesto pasta etc. They provide all type of cuisine from italian to oriental and maharashtrian to mughalai. Not everything is authentic but i liked the concept and would appreciate the effort. Quantity is huge and it is a definitely VFM. Pav bhaji was avergage. Rest of the dishes were good. Staff is polite. Ambience is good. Minus points-only one small loo common for all genders.
Interesting menu is the thing why you must visit this place. They have such a not so typical type of menu which makes you wonder what dish you should try and what not.
Ambience :
Very much fine ambience with comfortable seating arrangement.
Food :
Manchurian Bao : It was absolutely delicious. The Bao bread was so soft and the Manchurian filling was very tasty.
Paneer 65 with crispy noodles :
Something I have never tasted before and very much tasty . Soft paneer was covered with crispy noodles and topped with suitable spices. The dish was served with salad which really complimented the paneer .
Presentation of the both dishes was 10 on 10 .
Just another vegetarian restaurant in kothrud which is worth a try. they have a really subtle ambience. The service was splendid as the attendant was available for us at every beck and call. Also, the food served in sufficient quantity.
The only petty issue I found was, the menu is huge and they offer all kinds of cuisine which got me into a dilemma while ordering.
We ordered
The paneer with spring onion which was rich in taste and good in quantity.
Next was the Mac n Cheese was an absolute beauty. Totally mouth melting. You feel full in just two pieces.
Last was the Gnocchi Gratin was filled with mozzarella and pesto sauce. The garnish was awesome.
The quantity of the dishes are good. Served well.lively place.
It is worth a try. They offer main options too.

The go-to place for an enticing variety of Indian Gourmet Cuisines !! Its fulfilling essence and Fine Dining makes it the perfect place for all the Veg gourmands to dine in !!
My experience here was pretty nice. The ambience is good from inside. Outside of the hotel is just like a city restaurant which you probably expect from city restaurant. The hotel is just by the street. They offer various cuisines. Mexican,Italian,Chinese,Indian. Pardon me if I miss on something. Indian cuisine is not there in the number you would expect from an Indian restaurant. Indian Cuisine are not very limited but yes its was limited to some extent. Overall the restaurant is a good place to visit. No harm in visiting once. The price is not inexpensive but that is okay for the restaurant like this in the city like pune. The cost of pizza was 320. I think that is fair enough. According to me one should not regret on price. Thank you !
5 star for ambiance and customized menu !!!!

(Izzat ka) Falooda:
The Falooda here is quite good and perfectly sweet. One can surely order this dish if here.
Overall this is a very nice place and must be visited atleast once for some amazing veg delicacies.
We have tried so many restaurant for veg but all the time we just look for Paneer and roti but Kalinga is complete package they are the Best restaurant for Veg.

I just loved it! Very good variety of food. Taste is also good. Best part is service. They recommended us dishes and we liked all their suggestions. Overall amazing experience. Worth going
This is an amazing place if you want to discover some new flavors and irresistible food. They have tried to put old flavours in a new and distinctive way which you will really fall in love with. A warm place to visit with, your loved ones, friends, family even children love the ambience. The must try dishes are Thai rice/noodles with Burmese cocuasw delicious combination. One more is Dal pakwan not spicy but very simple and tasty.
