I love this place. I have already been to Moshe's(both in Mumbai and Pune) 5 to 6 times. One thing I absolutely love on their menu is the roasted chicken salad. The lettuce is crunchy, the chicken is well cooked, just a hint of apricot and the perfect dressing with a dash of lemon. Their pastries and breads are amazing as well. I have tried their gooey chocolate cake, carrot cake and the philadelphia cheese cake. They are all delicious.
Had pan fried sizzler here... It was good... But that paneer was a bummer... Over all good sizzler
But winner today was that gooey chocolate cake
Oh my god
That's the best i had till now
Just because of that cake its a 4.0 out of 5
Overall experience... Good
Amazing food, my favs being their pasta, sandwich, pizza, falafel, coffee, lemon grass cooler... In fact would recommend everything they have in their menu. Being a regular, have tried everything vegetarian. Service is good too. Nice place to relax after shopping :)
I have only ordered from this place at night when the sweet tooth on my jaw line gets crazy! I absolutely love their red velvet cake. And tarts. And muffins. Basically everything. I should visit this place one day, fall in love with their pastries, get fat. Mostly, fall in love with the pastries!
After long wandering in Phoenix my legs took a stop here because of its ambiance :P
Service is good and this place is less crowded in noon.
Ambiance is Rich and Pleasant
I ordered The Cheese Fondue which is perfect blend of cheese, spices.
In desert i had Moshe`s Red Velvet Cake which is superb and i never had such a yummy red velvet cake anywhere.
Will visit this place to try other menu :)
A favourite eatery, because if it's fabulous offerings after a busy day of shopping at Phoenix.
The cheese fondue n the hot chocolate is what I keep coming back for.The fondue is served in an interesting apparatus which adds to the visual attraction as well.
Nice place nice service. Staff was very helpful. Definitely come back. U also arrange birthday party for kids. Lovely place. Thank you Moshesh
A nice cafe with some good food options. I had tried the cheese fondue and pizza. They were yum. A must visit. We also got a complementary desert which was very sweet 😆

I longed for sizzlers since many days and chose this particular destination. It serves one of the best sizzlers i have tasted and would recommend Cafe Moshe's to anyone who wishes to have Mediterranean cuisine. Right from the beverages till the main course, every item tasted excellent while the prices were quite reasonable when compared to the restaurant's location.
The ambience of the restaurant was awesome which helped us to bear the long wait. Please visit this restaurant only if you have ample time in hand as they took quiet a lot of time serving the food.
Our order included:
Hot Beverage: Kashmiri kahwa,Cold Beverage: Limeade,Starter: Istanbulish (A type of Humus),Main Course: Chicken Sizzlers served with rice. As many of the items included in the menu card was not available so I would like to visit again and completely experience them.
A good place for Mediterranean cuisine. I have tried shawarma, crispy chicken wrap, Istanbullish, chicken skewers. And none of them disappointing me. Even when order for home delivery they pack it very nicely and deliver on time.
Only reason i visited this place was to try cheese fondue amd it's simply amazing how i ended up trying their pasta, falafel, fries, cake.. This is an awesome place. Do try new thing's, they won't dissapoint. Total worth every penny that you spend
The first thing that comes to mind is their Cheese Cakes, which are "better than orgasm" according to Madonna. And I agree with her, especially Blueberry Cheese Cake is really really good. U just can't have one an be satisfied you have to go there again very soon it is that good.
I had ordered Cheese Fondue, which was again delicious and unique. Trust me just go there order anything form the desert menu and you can thank me later.
Philadelphia Cheese Cake is also "mouth watering good". When it is over you will definitely drool over the next cheese cake.
Great place, great food n full on paisa vasul what more can someone ask for n da people are really welcoming a must go place..........😘😘😘
I visited Cafe Moshe's on my trip to Pune. We wanted to go some place where me and my friends can sit and talk. Found this to be an okay place.
The place is reasonably okay in space as it's in a mall and the interiors are nice too with a simple colour combination. Nothing too flashy.
Whatever we ordered was good and taste was up to the mark. It is that kind of a place where you can go regularly.
We ordered (Didn't order much as we were there just to chat):
French Fries
Penne tossed with 3 mushroom sauce
Chocolicious
Mochalicious
Limeade
Cold Coffee with ice cream
My Rating:
Food : 3/5
Service : 3/5
Ambiance : 3/5
Pocket Friendly : 4/5
I forgot to click any pictures as we got too busy talking :)
The first time I went here.. the aroma just attracted me and my friends to go in and just try coffee, because the smell was too breathtaking.. The coffee, the fondue, the pizza and the cheesecakes are yummy here. Cafe Moshe's will not disappoint you every time you visit it!!
This place has the best Caramel bars and coffee! Their tarts are like little indulgences.
Good place to meet up with friends and even for some alone time.
The dessert here is absolutely phenomenal. The Philadelphia Cheesecake as well as the chocolate desserts are mouthwatering.
The problem was when we ordered the Simple Margherita Pizza and Paneer Bhurji with Toast the other day. I know a few people don't believe this, but there is something as "too much cheese". The pizza was average, but could have been better if the excessive cheese wasn't overpowering all the flavour.
The lemon ice tea is a little too sweet.
But I'd surely visit again.
Go to this place for the desserts.
Good place....service is good...quiet and nice ambience. Just had coffee which was good...☺☺☺. They have all tea with tea bags ...I would like them make it...definetly recommend when u want to freshen up after shopping along 😄😄
My love for Hummus brings me here repeatedly. I've only had Hummus platter here which I love. Also their Lemongrass cooler is worth trying once. Very refreshing! Friends accompanying me liked their sandwiches, Salads on various occasion! Must Visit!
Went for shopping and urge of coffee brought us here. Went with hubby.
Ambiance: Nice cozy cafe. Took a corner table for 2. The place is well lit and done. Chairs are comfortable.
Food: We ordered caffe latte, cappuccino, traditional hummus, garlic bread. Humus was quite good. Nice coffee. They serve coffee with cookies.
Service: No complains, on time and perfect
Cost: As any coffee shop. Not very high
Overall nice place for a coffee, recommended.
Situated beside 212 cafe and you can enjoy seating outside in case some event is being performed.
Food was good specifically pasta !!
Price is slightly expensive !!
Being there only once and tried the traditional hummus ! It turned out to be really nice !! And a mango drink which was refreshing and my friend ordered a burger which was good as well :D
been to both this one and the koregaon park one but love this one more
maybe because the staff here is very nice
also there is more of warmth in this place as compared to the koregaon park one
rest the desserts are awesome
This place serves one of the most delicious hot chocolate I ever had. The sandwiches and fondue are great. Desserts are pretty good. A place for food lovers.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food especially the Egyptian salad and blueberry cheesecake. The iced tea was refreshing. Service is prompt. A very delightful experience.
A very good hot chocolate drink, mouth watering chicken skewers with Harissa sauce, fresh garlic bread- what more do you need after crazy shopping hours in phoenix! Will definitely go for more.
Stepping aside from the Indian definition of "cafe", Moshe's provides lots of Italian and Mediterranean dishes and one of the very few restaurants in Pune that serve the Swiss delicacy - Fondue. Its a small place with red colour dominant interiors that provide a cosy ambience. Our table was the only one that was occupied as we visited the place on a weekday.
We ordered a spice fondue, a wrap, a sandwich, a main dish and couple of coolers. The fondue was spiced up with Jalapeños which were less compared to the amount of cheese. The sandwich was made from focaccia bread with aromatic basil sauce and stuffed with grilled chicken. The star dish of the day was grilled chicken with potato mash and roast veggies. It looked absolutely spectacular and tasted equally awesome.
The lemon grass drink and the peach ice tea had unusual sugar-cane tang to it. Not sure if its suppose to be that way or it wasn't prepared properly.
I went here once a long while ago. The entrees were refreshing and the desserts were simply delicious. Definitely worth a try if you're in Phoenix Mall.
I am a cheese lover and this love is what brought me here.A friend of mine suggested that the fondues here are really good and so I had to pay a visit.
This moshe's outlet is located inside the Phoenix mall in one of the corners and is fairly easy to find. Also, this is a small cafe not a restaurant so expect tables n chairs a bit cramped up.
I have visited here a number of times for the fondues. For those of you new to fondue, it is a Swish delicacy in which different types of cheeses are melted and put on a flame so that they remain at a dipping consistency. Various food ranging from savoury to sweet are dipped in it using a stick and eaten.
Fondues at moshe's are rich , creamy and chessy. They come with bread and crisps to dip, which are more than sufficient for 2 people . Both Dukkah and Gremolata are yum but I liked Gremolata more.
I have also tried their oven roasted mushroom sandwich. It is an open face sandwich with generous toppings of mushroom and broccoli. They serve it with a sauce and some greens. I really loved it!
Staff : The staff is really sweet and the service is quick.
Overall - I recommend this place! ✌🏼️
The review is not about coffee or cakes but about Moshe's products that I bought and tried. I am a fan of whole wheat bakery items and it's hard to find them genuine in Pune. However, products that we bought like whole wheat buns, oatmeal bread and orange marmalade are pretty awesome. Quality and freshness was good (obviously 1 has to check dates before buying). Orange marmalade is what they claim as organic and quite feels like that. All in all, it was good experience eating them are recommended for their quality.
Just had ginger tea and chocolate milk here. Ginger tea was really strong one which is good if you prefer tea over anything and chocolitous was not that good. Rest ambiance is pretty decent.
One of my favorite coffee places. I go here for the lemon tea and the carrot cake. This time I tried the shwarma roll. Food is great. Service is very good. One place I can go back again and again.
We were looking for a restaurant in Phoenix to have some light and nice food. We found this cafe which I never knew existed there 😂
Loved the ambience. .Small and cozy.. We ordered tomato soup which I really liked. Very different.. For starters/main course we ordered hummus with pita bread and stir fried veggies. . Loved the presentation and the taste was good too.. overall I had a good experience and wouldn't mind visiting again. 😊
Honestly we go to Moshe's often and we always try something new and it always turns out to be very good. The presentation without a doubt is amazing and the staff are really helpful yes there few dishes which are not up to the mark but overall the place is extremely neat and clean. The menu is very simple and straightforward and personally I would like you'll to taste the 'Istaanbulish' and Lemon grass cooler :)
Last week on Sunday, Oct 11, 2015, I was there in pune and basically I am from Mumbai. In Mumbai itself, I had been to almost all the cafe moshes outlet. Cafe moshes at oberoi mall has always been on my fave list. It was a pleasant surprise to see a manager from oberoi mall cafe moshes in pune. The experience over all was fantastic as usual n expected frm the cafe. .. but the icing on the cake was this manager who has always been fantabulous in connecting to the guests all across the restaurant and making it a pleasant dining. Thank you cafe moshes and thank you Mr. Govind, manager cafe moshes, pune, phoenix. :)))))
Cafe Moshe's has a very exotic menu. Their breakfast menu is nice and they have few offers on them as well. Their mushroom open sandwich is good and the cheese fondue is worth a try. The desserts and milkshakes are rich and smooth. Its somewhat economical and the staff is nice as well.
Let me start with Must try which is, Cheese Red Velvet pastry - absolutely delicious and melts in mouth.
Had the Indian coffee with a twist and the chocolate cafe drink which are good.
The ambience is good considered to hang out after a shopping/stroll spree at the phoenix.
Overall a pretty neat cafe. I like it.
“MOSHE’s CAFÉ” One of the few cafes in Phoenix mall which are worth spending your time and money. Moshe’s is a small café which has been on my list whenever I used to visit the mall but never got a chance to sit and chat in this beautiful place. Very loving and homely ambiance and the Moshe himself has this place built around this idea of homely food and place. He has got the inspiration from studying abroad and also taking to many Grand moms and getting delicious home cook recipes.
The Menu is very handpicked and particular you will not find anything that has been added just to make this list bigger, the service at this place is also very caring all the staff is always smiling and greeting people. I would suggest to get a place inside the café to get that feel they have kept some tables outside but that will not give the homely feeling.
FOOD: Since we did not have much time we had “MY MOM’s CHICKEN SOUP” A soup warm and made with love. It was thick and shredded chicken pieces put into the same. The only improvement I would suggest is it has too much of Tomato puree so basically I felt like I was eating a tomato soup with chicken in it though it tastes good. “CAFÉ LATTE” Creamy latte as good it can get that it was. Fresh coffee served with 2 cookies on the house, superb flavour of cookies. “RED VELVET CUPCAKE” Small packages of sweet heaven, not too sweet perfect cake and the red velvet flavour just has that punch and the cream is thick and wonderful in taste.
Overall a cool and homely place where you can relax and chat for a while and sip on a coffee and few eatables…

We were very happy with ambience and the quick service. The peach ice tea was really good and simply white sauce pasta was amazing. I love the interior as well.
Cafe Moshe's never disappoints when it comes to desserts. While I've never really tried the savory items on their menu, I definitely recommend their cheesecakes! My favorites are the Devil's Mousse and the Philadelphia cheesecake.
I juz lyk this place like anything.. Calm place with delecious pastries specially moshes special pastry.. The decor and ambience is soo soothing.. A proper place to chill out after u r tired.. must visit place...
Stopped in after a long window shopping session for my favourite fried potato skin with its super
Yummy dip. Tucked into a corner in a busy mall, it provided cover from the bustle of the mall on a busy Sunday :)
The place has a cozy feel to it. It's one of the best cafes I have been to in Pune. The coffee, shakes and soft drinks are awesome. The food is always prepared fresh and brought hot to the table. Amazing pastas, sandwiches, etc. Good options exist for vegetarians as well. A must visit for all to sip a nice cup of coffee or enjoy a light meal.
Had been to the Moshe in Bandara, Mumbai so obviously expectations were sky high. It's a small quaint place with not a lot of tables. We started off with ordering a chicken club sandwich along with a hummus platter and some mushrooms on toast which was excellent. The hummus was nice but not excellent. A little toooooo dry for my liking, less garlic, needed more drizzle of olive oil., but flavour was very good, ordered a white cheese pasta - was perfect as expected. Baklava looked good but didn't feel like getting the whole box so maybe next time. Good hot beverages too. I've heard the koregaon park outlet serves alcohol too.
This small place is in a corner of the huge Phoenix Market City Pune. I absolutely love this place and always end up being here rather than any other restaurant or joints at the food court.
Food here is great, made with fresh ingredients. Vegetables are so fresh that you can feel the difference. Mushroomish (hummus pita) is one of my favorite dishes here. Another fav is tomato soup. Its not just a soup, its a whole meal. They have other diced vegetables and khus khus also in it. A bowl of soup and you are done. Of course they serve complimentary breads with it. Their khus khus salad is also good, if you prefer something with not all those spices and its protein rich. Pizza and burgers tastes so fresh and different that you dont feel like you are having junk. Best part is their pizzas are not round :).
And yes the juices, fruit cyclone is best when u r tired of shopping all day long or even otherwise ;) They serve fresh juices and thats the best part. All natural!
Ambiance of this one at viman nagar is ok ok. People walking around can peek into your plate. There are seats away from the glass too but I prefer seats near the glass so that i can check out people around. :P
Service is it bit slow and that is the only reason I choose some other place at time when I m in a hurry. But its a cafe and its supposed to give you enough time to sit and slurp and converse. Another reason why I don't mind them being slow is because I know I am getting freshly prepared food!
Went to this place on a Sunday evening when I was tired with all the shopping and needed a cup of coffee to rejuvenate myself. My my does this place rejuvenate you . I had the coffee which is served with complimentary biscuits baked by these guys themselves. The biscuits were really nice and I wish they sold them because I would have loved to take it home. I ordered for a French press coffee which was splendid. It is served with milk on the side and the coffee is lovely. My companions loved what they ordered for too. I will surely come back to this place whenever I need coffee and also to try its bakery products after the lovely complimentary biscuits that they served with the coffee because I am pretty sure their bakery products will be pretty amazing based on the trailer I received .
Simply amazing!! The Philadelphia cheesecake is my favorite pick here! And the hummus bowl and the house coffee! I keep going back for more. A courteous staff just adds to the charm.
Good coffee and great space to sit, less noisy than the Starbucks opposite to it..
Great options to eat. Try hummus and peta or one of their chicken sandwiches. I also recommend the Apple pie.
Moshe's in Phoenix is a cozy little place, with striking wooden interiors and comfortable lighting. While Moshe's has always been known for it's excellent food and service, this place lives up to the name in terms of food but the service is not quite up to the mark. Yet, it's a nice place to chill at after a long day of roaming around and shopping.
Ambience: Located in Phoenix mall, its a perfect place for a coffee break or a snack between shopping. The seating is lovely and cozy.
Food: We ordered some cheese fondue (solo portion), chicken club sandwich and one freshly tossed 'Simply' pasta (in white sauce with garlic, cream and cheese).
Only only was the cheese fondue wonderful, the presentation was also a delight. (see pic). Club sandwich was ok.
The Simply pasta was also very good, with lovely subtle flavours of garlic and cream.
The portions are also wholesome, and if you are not too hungry, its good to share one plate.
There's a tempting array of cakes and pastries, but I did not try any this time. Will add some updates when I try the desserts.
Service: This is great too.

Health tip: Cheese is high in calories and saturated fat, but is rich in calcium and provides some protein and phosphorus.

When you visit Cafe Moshe's in Phoenix Market city, the ambience and the vibrant colours instantly gives out a soothing and welcoming feel. After a few hours of shopping around, coffee and dessert at Moshe's is just heavenly; and the perfect reward after all that hard work.
They have been running a promo offer for a while now, buy a dessert and get coffee at rs. 9/- only. As far as desserts go, their signature gooey cake and chocolate brownie are amazing! Apple pie is another good choice for dessert, served with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, it is a perfectly balanced slice of yummilious pie!
Their smoothies and juices are not only healthier choices, but absolutely lip-smacking. The fresh fruit cyclone(a combination of fresh fruits and fresh orange juice) is the honestly one of the best juices I've had. Pair that with their Spanish omelette, and you're good to go.
The highlight of everything served at Moshe's is the simplicity of the food and drinks, and the freshness of ingredients used is clearly reflected in the taste.
Really liked this cafe. The place offers really great cheesecakes and burgers. Tried their Cafe Latte and it came with 2 delicious cookies and the coffee too was decent. The place is really value for money. The servers are helpful and very cooperative. A cozy little place, I am definitely going back for more!
Great place to spend some quality time with friends and family. The lemongrass cooler is mind blowing for this summer heat. The chocolate gooey pastry was yummy. Overall had a great time and staff is really courteous and friendly.
Must visit.
P. Cheesecake: absolutely delicious. Also happened to be running a discount scheme at the time - Hot coffee at 9 with any desert.
The food didn't disappoint either. Both the sandwich and falafel wrap were delights. They were kind enough to note down how we wanted our food (spicy/low on salt etc), and kept all that in mind.
Amazing Penne pasta in Pesto sauce served with a portion of bread topped with cheese. Good ambience, polite and friendly staff. Overall good experience.
Very rich menu. I have tried too little.
1. Carrot and marzipan cake - Not much a fan of almond barfee, but love carrot cake. Combination was good
2. Signature gooey - Who will not like this one....
Overall very satisfied. It was nicely parceled for take away.
Just dropped by for some appetizers .... Ended up having the humus platter. Service was decent. Not recommended during weekends cause of the rush. Taste was good, closer to the actual taste of thw dishes.....
Located in one of the prime places of Pune that is Phoenix mall this place is an absolute delight for the people who are looking some Italian Delicacy. Reached in the afternoon so the place was not much crowded which made the service prompt. Ambiance is quite good and it turns out to be a good place to hangout with your girl. Ordered a Cheese Fondue , a Mexican chicken pizza and a espresso coffee. Fondue was really good with Hot cheese. Loved the pizza as it was with thin crust and sprinkled jalapeno has enhanced the taste. Coffee is as always good over here. Over all a thumbs from my side to this place.
After a lot of dilemma, I am giving this place 3.5 stars because of the utterly delicious food they served but with a poor service. They have a lot to do about the service they offer. Or maybe they aren't well equipped to serve lunch to a group of 10 people. Chicken skewers and chicken pulau were the highlights. Pizza was also good.
Have only tried dessert from this outlet and they were awesome. Would recommend "Red Velvet cake" and "Signature Gooey". Have tried one of the Mumbai outlets and that was a great experience. Cannot comment about the main course here but my experience with dessert was as expected :)
This is one my favorite cafes in town. Situated at a prime location (Phoenix Market city), this cafe has some of the best brews in town.
For the coffee lover in you, this is a place you cant miss.
For me the pick of the coffees is their "Chocolattetious", one of the best cinnamon flavored hot coffees I have ever had.
The desserts here are also super yum with my choice as the "Blueberry muffin".
To add to this is the peaceful ambience you would find here along with the great service and always smiling waiters.
Great atmosphere Mr. Moshe.... The perfect place for dating over coffee... Good place to chat and have Chicken Club Sandwich made up with everything nice... Yummy...
This outlet of Cafe Moshe's is a particular favorite because of the layout and the staff. I've usually tried a combination of the Lamb Burger, Blueberry Cheesecake and Cappuccino. If the cheesecake is fresh, as it often is during the first hours of the day, the texture is delightful. The Lamb Burger is recommended and do ask for the mustard - nothing like it to make the combination a wonderful one. The patty has the right amount of heat when served and that's what makes it a strong recommendation.
The place is absolutely delightful for beverages and desserts. They have different types of teas. The cold coffee is really great.
Coming to the desserts, the muffins are delicious. My personal favorite is the little chocolate tart. It's absolutely fantastic. Pastries are yum. The red velvet muffin is out of this world. This place is definitely recommended.
Also, the hummus is great. We tried a new thing called the shakahouka, which is a Lebanese egg dish. It was pretty good.
Cheese fondue recommended.
I happened to visit this place a few days back ,the ambience was a pleasing one ,the food was tasty enough, the founde was served in a mud pot,I am amazed with their presentation :)
RED VELVET CAKE so bloody good that chefs should sample it and set it as their bar. Gooey Chocolate Cake sucked pretty bad, had to leave it. Would definitely come back here, even only for the Red Velvet Cake
A well loved mumbaikar brand has opened its outlets in Pune and I am more than happy! They were the people to introduce me to the love of my life - red velvet cake!
A visit to Phoenix mall and I obviously step into the cafe, a familiar smell and ambience takes me back a few years and pleasant memories flock me .
They have maintained their aura and ambience. A casual decor, with a board complete with items on the menu. However, this outlet is considerably small and no. of seats is less.
Ordered
Red velvet cake- Visiting this place after more than two years, the choice was obvious. Had also had a bad experience in another restaurant. Hence, a vent was required. Loved it. For its tender cake, the delicious icing, and for remaining the same!
Carrot cake- yum yum yum. Melt in mouth variety, but only for those who like carrot cakes.
Cappuccino - the same, great coffee.
Paid Rs 440!
Will be paying many more visits.
Been here couple of times. Nice comfy ambience and prompt staff.. Food quality is up to the mark although the rates given in the menu are exclusive of taxes. A cup of cappuccino goes for 100bucks (₹79 + taxes) & quantity is tad bit less than what CCD has to offer for the same price. Overall it's a good cafe, like to see more such outlets coming in the near future.
Decided to take a break from the constant window shopping and have a cuppa coffee. Thankfully one need not go either to the food court or the ground floor for coffee. This is one of the better cafe's in the Phoenix mall and has nice interiors. The moment we entered we were perplexed for seats since it was packed. The host was really polite and arranged chairs for us at a corner table and told us about the offers. Great hospitality.
We just ordered two cappuccinos.
They were served along with a couple of biscuits each. Nice. The coffee was really nice and had a lot of body to it compared to other popular coffee joints which generally serve watery swill under the guise of coffee. The place is lively and teeming with people of all age groups.
Overall:
Food: 7/10
Ambiance: 8/10
Accessibility: 7/10
Service: 8/10
Overall Experience: 7/10
Would I recommend: Oh Yes. Next time I'll try out some pastries for sure.
Been there 6 Times.
In Love with Garlic Breads and Cappuccino at this place. It's a place where I always wait before the Movie Starts.
Service-men are very good. You'd be luck if you get an outside seat as I have got 2 times in an row.
Do Try at least Once ! It will serve cheaper than Star Bucks and worth spending pennies.
The perfect place to eat on a cold winter evening. Their service and bread made my day! If you want a filling and scrumptuous meal for a reasonable price, try their sandwich and soup combos. If you're looking for a healthy meal that leaves you, in simple words happy, at the end of it this is the place you need. @mayaramesh
Been here quite few times and this place never disappoints. Courteous staff and their service is quick.
The Pasta Arabiata does taste like one rather than just pouring tomato puree all over. Tangy and al dente. Must try.
Presentation gets full marks. Rates are not inclusive of tax and they do tax heavy.
Overall a nice comforting place for light snacks.
Food: 4/5

Cafe Moshe's has two outlets in Pune and I happened to try out the one in Phoenix Market City Mall. Whenever I go to a new restaurant/cafe, my first impression is made the very moment I enter the place. When my friend and I entered the cafe, we were greeted by a smiling staff member "Good afternoon ladies!" :) That itself made a very good impression on me.
I tried this place out on a weekday afternoon. There were around 12 people or so in a tiny cafe, probably with a seating capacity of no more than 20. That only goes to say how popular this place is. The interiors are that of a warm, cozy little cafe. Quite some desserts were on display and I was already drooling at the sight of some really pretty desserts. The menu had a lot of things to offer ranging from exotic teas, coffees, eggs to order, burgers, sandwiches and some mains to choose from. We went for weekday combos. Ordered a Spanish omlette + cappuccino combo and a veg half wrap + tomato soup combo. Standard toast and some foccasia bread came in complimentary. The Spanish omlette tasted ok, not great. Salt in the omlette was not evenly distributed. But the star was the veg wrap and the tomato soup. Veg wrap had fresh paneer chunks, lettuce etc in amazing salad dressings and sauces as a filling. This was served with some French fries. The tomato soup was delicious too. The cappuccino was quite good. All in all the food was quite good in taste.
Service gets a big thumbs up from me.Very swift and courteous staff.
Value for money? Yes, certainly. This order costed us Rs. 385, all taxes inclusive.
Will I go again? Sure. No doubt about it! :) Highly recommended!
Café Moshe’s is a popular chain of café hailed from Mumbai. They claim they’ve self-manufactured ingredients, well maybe. I got a chance to visit their café in Viman Nagar and I am pretty impressed.
The café is apparently small and it can accommodate around 20 people in one seating, great part is that they haven’t added few more chairs and tables to accommodate few more couples. Good spacing between tables here. The ambiance is nice, yellow lights, maroon chairs, dark brown tables – all good.
I tried the French Press coffee and the regular Cappuccino, both served with sweet and salty cookies. The coffee was great and I especially got them both in nearly 65 INR including taxes, that’s because of the offer “Coffee for 2@49” – if otherwise, each coffee is nearly for 80 INR. Nothing remarkable about both the coffee cups, the French Press coffee was served with a portion of Milk – around 50-70ml and tasted good.
This café is soon catching up in nearly all prominent areas of Pune, Koregaon Park opening soon – and it is a good change from other popular coffee bar chains. More on their menu is a huge variety of gourmet sandwiches and pastas, shall try them soon!

Cafe moshe is a lovely little place. Small in area but sweet ambience. The cappuccino was excellent. Dominance of the coffee flavour is perfect. Blueberry cheese cake was good. But could have been better. Fondue is simply amazing. Nice cafe. Like a cafe next door. I feel like going there again nd again. Positive vibes in there and courteous staff.
I love visiting this cafe! The oven roasted mushroom sandwich is my favorite :)
Also the beverages are nice that comes along with cute cookies!!
Warm ambience, great coffee, amazing desserts! What more can one ask from a coffee shop.. I always stop by for a coffee and some treats when I visit Phoenix.
I wanted to check out Moshe's mainly because of how I heard people raving about it, and believe me, it lives up to the hype! As a dessert lover, for me it was like Disneyland! But, even if don't have the biggest sweet tooth out there, its definitely worth trying! :)
Café Moshe’s has recently opened in Phoenix Mall in Viman Nagar. I shop for grocery there every weekend, and it’s great to spend grab something to eat there afterward.
I love the interior. It’s very chick, cozy and spacious. There are bake goods, honey and spread for sale on one side with rustic brisk walls and amber lighting. The service was nice and attentive.
Before I start writing about the food, I should tell you that I couldn’t eat as much as I wanted to that day, and I could only have soft food, so I decided to go for some soup. And strange enough, I had mixed experience at first visit. I tried some tomato soup with a twist, served with warm bread. It was comforting and refreshing. I enjoyed the dish quite a lot. I had peach ice tea, which was delightful. On the other hand, my friend didn’t like the food at all. He ordered some chicken sandwich, and it turned out to be so dried and have too much mustard in it.
I think I will give Café Moshe’s another chance soon because what I had that day wasn’t so bad at all, and I would like to try other dishes especially the dessert.
Moshe’s popularity and far reaching effect can be gauged by an eponymous search on the Zomato Mumbai page. The resultant array of Moshe’s popping in the result, numbering more than a dozen, clearly indicates that a cityscape with such gargantuan proportions as Mumbai cannot hold a candle to Moshe’s spread. Surely Moshe is doing something right, and as if to emphasize on that it has stretched itself to that other burgeoning metropolis across the ghats, Pune.
If reviews at Zomato and other forums are any indicator, Moshe’s at Pune has had a baptism by fire, wherein discerning foodies with an even more discerning palate have had underwhelming experiences at the joint clearly experiencing teething troubles. I thought it would be more prudent to give it some time to settle down and get its bearings right before I decided to venture there.
And once I did I was well-nigh impressed with the offerings.
Mint Chicken Soup: Now why more don’t more places utilize the unique aromatics of mint so adroitly in their soups? Coupled with the starch of potatoes, the depth in texture via the odd grain of rice and huge chunky chicken bits, this is one refreshing soup that tantalized my taste buds and egged my appetite to vie for more.
Roast Lemon Chicken salad: Roughage and protein in equal measure characterized this redoubtably good salad. Limp veggies can lead to limp spirits, but the lettuce, peppers, carrots et all were fresh, crunchy and complemented to a T the succulent chicken pieces strewn in. I had asked for the tart lemony dressing to be served on the side; just the way I like it. My proclivity to consume salad sans dressing does elicit shock and awe from fellow diners but I guess that’s how I roll.
Istanbulish Hummus: Simple yet droolworthy innovations on the quotidian hummus are one of Moshe’s USPs. We were quite bullish on Istanbulish (just had to say this) and were rewarded handsomely so. Lightly sautéed chicken cubes in an A grade olive oil in a medley with caramelized onions transcended this hummus from run of the mill. What also worked for me was that this was not doused with creamy tahini to appear as the first cousin of mayonnaise (admittedly with much healthier unsaturated fats) but had a tad grainy texture thanks to the chickpeas which I found delightful.
Harissa chicken skewers: To (mis)quote Rowan Atkinson in his Black Adder avatar “Without the harissa the chicken was like a broken pencil: pointless” because the fabulous harissa marinade wasn’t given time to sizzle, trickle and imbue itself inside the chicken, and this lack of chemistry made its presence felt when I greedily licked off the harissa sauce and was left with dry almost unpalatable chicken. But the harissa was a thing of beauty, equal parts hot and equal parts tangy (due to pomegranate?). I had the temerity to smirk off and dismiss the purported heat of the sauce after the first few bites, only to be knocked out of my senses and those little devils hit me late. But it was one of those things where the pain and suffering was worth it; a shame then that the chicken failed to play the perfect foil.
Kabsa: The menu description of Kabsa urged us to look beyond the biriyani in the same way my unfortunate namesake Arindam Choudhari commands us to think beyond IIMs. I’ve had Kabsa once in Dubai and thought it was a benign non-spicy cousin of the biriyani , though it had the familiar flavor profile of tomatoes, onions, cardamom, clove and cinnamon. Moshe’s kabsa was instead a very moist, pungent pulao, with generous doses of spices. Well I’m never too hung up on authentic antecedents of food and Moshe’s version was glorious.
All this food washed with some wonderfully tangy kokum-grape-lime juice possessing a flavour that I'm dead sure is rare to avail of elsewhere. Great stuff.
Packed to the rafters with so much food, there wasn't an iota of space left to try some of their alluring desserts peeping from the dessert counter. Sigh...till next time I guess
If you are not careful, you might miss this fine restaurant entirely. Halfway across from the main entrance of the Phoenix Market City mall, Moshe's is a small outlet that conceals a larger open-air sit-out in the rear.
There are a number of reasons why I would encourage you to try the place out; the Fondue, simmering ever so slowly on a flame, is a great and filling starter. The sandwiches are sumptuous. The Hummus (we tried Istanbulish) was delicious. The thin crust pizza is a very different experience from what is commonly available elsewhere, as is Kasba, the Chicken pulao. And you cannot get a more affordable coffee anywhere!
The staff is friendly and eager to make you happy.
On the flip side? The cane tables in the open-air part are somewhat unsteady and you can literally have a rocking time!
Recommended for a great and affordable meal that looks and tastes different.
This seems to be becoming a habit that after a movie @ Phoenix Mall we stumble upon Great Cafes like baker street! This time is Cafe Moshe's ..!
Just standing outiside and from the look of it the ambience looked very nice! We decided to step in and try out this new place...
The menu is pretty interesting which starts with a nice note from the owner... btw this cafe started in Colaba Mumbai in 2004..
We weren't too hungry so we ordered a peach ice tea , a latte and lebanish hummus (hope got the same right!)
All of it was just awesome hummus was quite nice leaves you carving for more... coffee was also awesome and peach ice tea also tasted nice...
To add to it prices lookes very very reasonable considering the fact that it's located in one of posh malls of Pune!
To top it off an icing on the cake Service was too good they ll take ur order with a smile and also check on the food quality as ur enjoying the good time @ Moshe's...
So all in all an awesome café....Good Food to start with and along with ambience , service and Value for money is what made me rate 5 star!! A MUST visit.....
Cheers!
I am a fan of the fare Moshe's serves even if they are a slightly lesser version today of what they once were. The branch in Phoenix Market City, Viman Nagar, Pune is no different from most other branches. It has the same sense of decor, space, eclectic music and service. Recently, I was here for a short while with my wife meeting a friend I hadn't met in 4 years. Moshe's is just the perfect place for such a reunion with music playing in the background at the optimal volume.
I only had a Peach Iced Tea here and that is always made better here than most other places I've been to in Mumbai or Pune. That aside, based on my experiences at other Moshe's, I'd recommend the following. The Hummus Bowls are unmissable here. It is only a question of finding out which style suits one the most. The Shakshouka is just as excellent and falls just a little short of being a highlight. The broccoli, chickpea and couscous sald is a great one for veggie lovers.
Among desserts and beverages, the red velvet cupcake (frequently stocks out here) and the hot chocolate are must haves.
