This place has been around since forever in NIBM Kondhwa, so much that people use it as a landmark for giving directions. (guilty!) Perfect place to hangout as it is placed at a prime location and boasts of having some amazing South Indian, mostly Udupi influenced dishes and meals.
Pros:
Pure vegetarian place. Very hygienic. The service is quite quick so the staff likes it if you order without wasting much time on the menu. Competitive prices but value for money. Open till late, so it makes for a nice chai/ coffee hangout with friends. If you're a regular they might even entertain you beyond 11.30pm at the seating area outside the restaurant. Valet options available too!
Con: Not many, except that it can get very crowded on the weekends and you would have to wait a while to be seated.

•Wonton Hot and Sour Soup - If a non-vegetarian can enjoy these wontons, I'm sure you will too. Perfect for winter days!

The place is clean and decent to visit with family. Even large crowds can have a comfortable get together here. A good option for those who prefer vegetarian. I like their Paneer butter masala and dal fry. I always like to have tea or filter coffee here. Even South Indian snacks are good here.

This place is near a very busy and traffic heavy junction at Kondhwa, so very easy to locate. Enough parking space (congested, but still manageable).
As we entered we were greeted warmly with a smile and since it was a weekday, a table was readily available. A "single" menu was quickly handed over to a group of "three" after serving water. :P One-by-one, we browsed through the menu and locked our choice.
We opted for Masala Dosa, Cheese Plain Dosa and Cheese Onion Uttapam. I had requested Masala Dosa to be kept softer and my request was taken care of (thanks for catering my request). The sambhar and chatni was delicious. However, I wished they would add more masala in that dosa as currently the portion of masala is not enough. On the whole, it is a recommended choice. I did not taste the Plain Dosa or Uttapam, so won't comment on that. Filter coffee wasn't bad either. Though, the recommendation would be to serve it in traditional steel cups as that would give it an extra pinch of desi touch.
Service was super quick and the staff is very friendly and helpful. 😇
Ambiance is bright and soothing to eyes. They have AC and non-AC section. The seating arrangements are very comfortable and washroom is super clean. 👌

Ordered paneer masala and butter roti here and trust me the food was excellent ...the paneer was soft and butter roti was soft as well...the taste was awesome.. for a quick dinner I would really select Jyoti.
Im a pure Non veg guy but tho Jyoti is pure veg.. their stuff is mouth watering. Luv their dosas, grilled cheese s/w, dahi wada and Palak Paneer. The only time i ever eat veg food.. its only when its Jyoti👍

This place has always been busy with people whenever I’ve been here. However, surprisingly every time, the service is super efficient and quick!
The breakfast menu is undoubtedly the best and consistent on taste. Things to try are the dosa’s, idly & fasting (vrat)food delicacies.
This time around I tried something that I would totally not order at a restaurant which specialises in South Indian cuisine. Although, this didn’t turn out bad. In fact, it was a pleasant surprise!
Vegetarian Manchow Soup-
Not too thick off any flour, mildly flavoured with soy/vinegar, and served with fried noodles. Well, it definitely was the Indianised Manchow soup. But 4/5 on taste.
Vegetarian Kebab Masala -
It was a green coloured gravy, with delish veggie kebabs. Polished this off with straight off the tandoor wheat rotis, so fresh! Not many places around here, serve wheat based breads. So happy with this one. The portion size was good enough to share amongst 2 people.
Go here for a quick vegetarian meal, you won’t be disappointed with the taste, quality and value for money. They do have valet parking.

The snacks such as Pav Bhaji,Dosa,idli,sevpuri etc.. here are awesome in taste.The north Indian food are good in taste .If you want have dinner or lunch then its good place to dine out.Do not order chinese as it does not taste that much good.

We started our food journey with mysore masala dosa - it had a good crust
Followed by paper masala dosa - a must have, very well prepared, crispy layer & the matter was very well prepared
Dahi batata puri - Chaat was ok ok as i had alot chaat from such similar places so i felt it could be more better
Cheese pizza - pan pizza with just cheese on the top my son enjoyed it alot
We ended our tour with fresh mosambi juice & fresh lime soda

A place liked by Vegetarians the most. One of the famous restaurants serving delicious veg food since years. From snacks to main course they serve everything.
Food : Pav bhaji is the topper here. Also liked are the Mysore masala dosa (with the superb rasam), Crispy Mushrooms (So delicious u will start loving mushrooms) and the sandwiches are superb. Food is fresh and tasty.
Ambience : Spacious.
Staff : Very quick in their service. Attentive to the guests.
Cost : Reasonable.

One of the best Udupi restaurants in Pune. I have tried various dishes here but my firm favourite is the paper dosa (you can also get them to make your sada dosa the same way). It is absolutely crisp, breaks like potato chips and doesn’t become soggy when it goes cold. Another must try here is the chilli cheese toast - huge serving, lots of cheese and bread baked to perfection.
Always liked this joint for South Indian food especially their vada sambar and filter coffee.
Seating is ok though little congested still u can find waiting in this restaurant... Tasty food and easy on the pocket.

The placed surprised me. Had some work near the restaurant, so went to have dinner. The place was full, crowded and had waiting time of 3-5 mins. Luckily I got the table without any wait. I was very very surprised with the service, its so fast. The food was on the table in less than 10 minutes. The people were coming, having food and leaving. I am very impressed with the staff, they just work and dont waste time and helps you in te order as well.
I ordered Paneer Lababdar, one of the best I had. In breads, I had butter naan which was cooked to perfection. The prices are also within the budget. Will surely visit the place again :)

I normally visit this restaurant with family. The thali and other food items are economical and good. We generally order veg thali, palak paneer, kofta curry and also tried sizzlers which is OK. The staff is friendly. Overall recommended.

The ambience, staff uniforms, and the overall vibe is of the authentic South Indian restaurant.
Literally everything that we ordered, was tasty, and in good proportion.
We were attended by a very polite, friendly, and always smiling Sagar, who made the overall experience all the more memorable.

Tried Rawa Masala Dosa, Paper Dosa, Lassi & Mix Fruit Juice. Rawa Masala Dosa was good, crispy and porous. However the Masala was too bland, it somehow tasted good with the Sambar. Sambar wasn't typically sweet like other places at Pune, it was moderately spiced and flavourful. Normal Paper Dosa was very good, crispy and devoid of any extra oil. Lassi and Mix Fruit Juice was good too.
Went for brunch. Ordered Mysore cheese sada dosa . It was nice and somewhere close to vaishali as I feel so. Then had veg cheese grilled sandwich. It was good but tasted like pizza for unknown reason. Then had veg pizza . It was nice in taste and slightly sweet in taste. Overall it was a good experience .

It's those little cozy family places where you just go, eat your food and get out. Quick service and decent staff. Great place to eat vegetarian food. Their palak khichdi is amazing! South Indian dishes are pretty good too. Only one disadvantage is that it's always noisy, considering that it's always filled with customers. So it's not your fine dine relaxing kinda place.

Great food if you want to eat Veg. Their South Indian snacks are not to be missed as is their Cheese Chilly Toast (a must have). I also order their Fresh Lime Water & ask them to make it both sweet & salty, which gives it a wonderful taste. Even their main course fare is up to the mark.
Jyoti is not a restaurant , it's a feeling . It's been around forever and the food is evergreen . South Indian and Indian is it's specialty and I would recommend sticking to those.
The juices are refreshing , the dosas , especially the Mysore masala dosa are great and they make finger licking chole bhature as well.
The food is rediculously affordable and it never disappoints .
Do not order home as food will get cold and taste bad .
Always dine in and sit in the AC restaurant they have upstairs as the ground floor being open tends to be loud and has flies as well .
All in all , if you haven't been to Jyoti , go .
I’ve had lots of experience with this place as this was the place to go when I lived in Kondhwa. I found everything great here, right from Punjabi to Continental.. chinese was good too.. And so are the mock tails and mastanis. There’s one thing I’d like to point out though, the Kashmiri pulav and Navratan korma are very sweet! They’re as sweet as desserts. I found that fact very unappetising.. the place is classy and hygienic so you can take your guests for a treat there too.
I think this is the best South Indian Resturant in the area. Super tasty food right from breakfast to the dinner menu. A Resturant for all ages n a menu to satisfy everyone's taste buds. Not very expensive. You can order food home too

This is a food delivery review, this restaurant is always buzzing again the menu size is commendable almost covers everything. I wasn't sure to get place in time. We ordered Pav Bhaji all of us wanted the same and they did a good job. Strongly recommended if you are confused about food you wanna eat, you will find something in the menu of your likes. In breakfast their upma is very good. Their moong dosa has a very interesting flavour. Almost everything else is good too
The only thing that they can improve upon is their sambar. Some days, it is too much tomato, sometimes the phodni is burnt so it tastes bitter. Today it was watery like rasam.

Are you a vegetarian? Then this is the best place to eat if you are near kondhwa. Their menu has varieties, and every single dish has an authentic taste of its origin and super hygienic. The restaurant is clean and they serve with love. It has a waiting during Normal days and parking is an issue though they have their parking for cars and bikes. Their pao bhaji is a must try.
