Off late, BKC has been the most sought after location by foodies in Mumbai. We visited this new restaurant #FishNBait at BKC and our experience was excellent. First thing that you take note of is their menu, it is made based on oceans across the world and to top it, food is segregated as Above Sea Level and Below Sea Level - outstanding. There is huge spread for vegetarians as well - mesmerizing.
We ordered for Dry Mango Prawns for starters and Salmon Stroke for mains - just yummy.
Staff is courteous and give you friendly service.
Since am seafood lover, one visit is not enough to try menu. Definitely a must visit every time.

This one is my favorite office gateway for lunch. I have been there so many times and not a single instance is there where I came out disappointed.
Fish food is excellent in here . Motton and chicken dishes they serve are also good. I have tried almost everything on menu and never been disappointed with the taste.
When you ask for crab or akkha suramai they will show you the specimen ask you to select, they quote the price and then prepare the dish you want.
Mutton shorba is something not to miss. It's on spicy side but I would prefer that way only.
Fish tawa masala's , Prawns Biryani are better than any other places I have tried so far.
One more thing if you are here don't miss Goan curries .they have 4/5 main course dishes from Goa and all of them are authentic (at least to me) and tastes excellent.
Usually fish food is expensive but trust me this place is easy on pocket . For 4 (We never go easy on food) , we usually order 2/4 soups (shorba 70% of the times), 2 masala papads, 2 fish starters (have I mentioned bonnet duck fry is best in here ?) , 2 main course dishes , Roti's , and occasionally 1 prawns Biryani. Our bill amount never crossed 2800rs.
Ambience - average, not bad. Surely can take your family. At lar with nisarg @ kothrood.
So to sum up - Best sea food in Pune at affordable price , truly value for money. This one is the first comes to my mind when I think of fish food.
Ambience is really cool. Awesome place for couples. Drinks are little bit expensive. Must tries are pomfret and chief special sea food rice. Service is bit slow for large number of ppl. I went there for engagement event of 20 ppl, thus faced the service slowness. Otherwise i think the service would be good for less no of ppl.
One of the best fine dine restaurant in Viman Nagar. Very few places serve like really good seafood, and if you are looking for such place this is it. A very subtle and nice ambience plus really friendly staff. I ordered prawns biryani which was highly satisfying. Their bar section is equally fascinating.
Do visit if you want to have like really good seafood.
What an amazing robust flavor in Crab Kakra Jhal I ate recently when I went to explore their Crab & Prawn Festival. Try it out with warm Bhakree and one would be compelled to plan a second visit. A must to visit for all seafood lovers. Fresh seafood been used makes their food better than other such places around.
The restaurant has a dimly lit, calm and elegant ambiance. The food is on the expensive side, but it was a treat nevertheless.
We went for an early Sunday dinner and ordered Prawns Dimsum and a mocktail. We were advised that our order would take time to serve and thus we would have to be patient, to which we agreed. The place was too cozy to hasten matters and leave early, and the wait was worth it. The dumplings were amazingly good and the mocktail was deliciously soothing.
We missed out on a proper meal as we were not much hungry, but a second visit is definitely happening.
We ordered fish biryani from fish n bait. Biryani was absolutely yummy. Sufficient quantity of fish and it was cooked n marinated properly. Rich was having good aroma and did tested like biryani. Appropriate mixture of spices gave it a perfect flavor. Overall it was mouth watering, delicious, perfectly spiced, sufficient quantity, not too oily. I must say it's the best fish biryani i ate in pune. Thanks to the cook n restaurant.
I had never heard of this place until I went there. But after 4 visits now, I am sure this is one of the best seafood restaurants in Pune. They know their fish and the crab is just awesome. Another must try is their appam chicken curry. The staff is also well aware of the menu and very pleasant.
So I visited this place with my office colleagues and the ambience was nice and cozy ! The quality of food, mainly fish was amazingly fresh ! Full rating for that surely ! The only area where the outlet needs to focus on was the service, the manager who took our order failed terribly in communication skills and had no idea of the menu himself !
Ambience of this place is spacious,neat and has a good decor. In starters we had Surmai Tawa fry ( big pieces) & Bombil Harnei ( lil crispy & stuffed with prawns).Main Course we ordered the Chef's special Seafood Biryani which was tasty. Being a coastal cuisine special we preferred to have only sea food .All the fish preparations were freshly made with not so spicy masalas 👌.For veggies we had ordered the Veg Manchurian which was delicious and the Subz biryani.Quality and quantity 👌👍.Desserts we ordered the Rasmalai which was served warm 👅👎.Service wise also good. Pricing is a bit on a higher side but overall a 👍👌.
The restaurant was functional during late lunch hours. We were 4 people, hoping to find a place to meet up in the heavy rains. The ambience was cozy. This is small place can have 50-60 tables. They serve alcohol and beers as well. We ordered a se food platter that has a variety of fish cooked in different marinades. There was enough for 4-5 people. We also ordered a chicken platter that had different marinades and had enough for 4-5 people. The seafood platter was 2400/- and the chicken platter was 1200/- . The prices were good and for some dishes it was a bit expensive.
We went to this place with family. The food was reasonably priced. Normally the fish served 'As Per Size' is very expensive in other places..but here they have options from as low as Rs 500. Alcohol is also not very expensive.The serving size for curry dishes is generous..will visit again

We (me and my project team) been there on Onam. That was a quiet lunch day in the restaurant. We have been greeted well and settled on our choice of table.
We opted for Fixed menu which has both veg and non veg food with starters to desserts. I didn't like the chicken that much but fish was fantastic. I tasted few veg starters which turns out to be good than non veg. Soup was ok, even we asked for small quantity, big bowls are offered to us.
Overall experience is worth trying their Fixed menu.
I just don't like the sad music they play in the background. We really didn't hear to them but some times during the food you get attention to those and its a big turn down. :(

The food was excellent, especially the seafood. Although, the service could be better. I would recommend the Prawn Kadai Masala for any seafood lover. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and I would like to come back again.

Very nice experience with the restaurant, they serve quite interesting variety of fishes. We tried surmai fish and chicken and it was yummy. They take time to prepare your dish but it was worth a wait. If you r lovers of fish go and try this!!!
It's a place known for corporate parties and good ambience. Although they have no special offers if you go on daily basis, but they offer good corporate discounts for parties. Food was decent although I had very limited options due to buffet system. But whatever they offered tasted good enough. They also have open terrace and I prefer that considering the climate of Pune it feels good. Overall its a good place for parties.

A must visit for all the fish lovers. Being a fan of fish fry tried a lot of other well known places BT ended up disappointed. I heard a lot about this restaurant from my fish loving friends. Yesterday i.e. 14th April,2016 I went to this restaurant . There was no one in the restaurant. Actually I went at 7:15 pm so that was too early. The ambiance was really great. It was all blue lights. It was looking tremendous. We ordered crab in butter garlic sauce , prawns curry. Actually this restaurant is famous for fish. The crab was ok . We took some veg dishes too. They were also good. The service was also good. They have bar menu too but unfortunately yesterday was a dry day , so the bar was closed. Overall the restaurant was good enough.
Very good place for fish lovers however I found the chicken dishes pretty good. Tandoori chicken was really great, juicy and just rightly cooked..tried chicken chettinad along with neer dosa and taste was simply superb.good ambience and service was also very good..
It was a treat from my friends on the occasion of International Woman's Day!! We had Tomato shorma,Wanton soup in appetizer. Starer was Konkan Tikka fish which was absolutely delicious. Another friday and was looking for better dinner options on zomato. Craving for sea food I came across buffett option at fish n bait. So I head off to enjoy sea food. Ambience is pretty good and serene with light music :) the buffet had 6 starters but was disappointed with no prawns in whole buffet. Chicken tikka,chicken lollipop,fish koliwada,veg kebab,gobi manchurian and hariyali paneer tikka the starters were really good. I ordered prawns roast apart from buffet but was disappointed with qty. Main course was average nothing exceptional and desserts were ok. The fish curry along with appams saved the day in main course. They also offer you mojito mocktail as part of buffet. Overall I enjoyed my experience but seriously a sea food speciality food outlet offering buffet w/o prawns is a let down.

Another famous sea food restaurant in Vimannagr which does justice to its name of being a seafood restro. For starters we had ordered fish fry n chips which were yum, butter garlic prawns were delicious too. For the mains we had ordered Prawns Chettinad which was recommended by my frnd which was really really tasty..perfect curry wid d rite amount f spices added neither too spicy and not too bland, loved the service here, very prompt and quick. A must visit place.

Fish N Bite is restaurant always prefer to go out, if I want to have good seafood. I like prawns, crab, pomfret fry. On my last visit, I tried chicken dishes, that are equally good too. I tried chicken sukha, chicken tandoori and appam. I would recommend anyone to chicken Sukha along great seafood options.
Visited with friends. Had a good experience specially with the main course. The starters were fine. Must have mutton with kheema, its really delicious. Overall good experience.

Fish n bait is located on 1st floor above shivsagar in Viman Nagar, Pune and has valet parking. As you enter here it’s having bright blue colored neon lights which energizes the place. Outside of it they have put live crabs and fishes in fish tank. Staff is so good over there. They welcome their guests with smile.
Great place for some good sea-food, especially goan and mangalorean dishes. What really impressed me was their extensive menu, which covered all kind of seafood. The seating is really warm and well done. The bar is really pretty…and yes they had most of the drinks which was on their menu card!
For starters we recommend squid and prawns is koliwada style and tandoori prawns.
For the main course prawns in goanese curry and rawas ghassi.
Other notable items are: Crab Soup and Sea Food Soup, Prawns Gassi & Surmai PulliManchi , Chicken Sukka, Prawns Biryani, Surmai Tawa Fry and also appam, neer dosa and surmai gassi and of course sol-kadi.
Highly recommended for seafood lovers.

I wanted to dine at this place from a very long time because of the good reviews and pleasing menu on zomato but restrained as it seemed like a little heavy on the pockets. Finally visited here a few days back and I am happy :)
The ambience was alright nothing extraordinary but the food was amazing!!!
We had ne'er dosa and goan prawn curry along with surmai fry and rice. No complains at all about the food. Every delicacy was delicious. The rich flavour of coconut in the prawn curry still lingers in my mouth. I would love to visit the place again but I will have to wait coz like I said the pricing is definitely a little on the higher side.

Being a Saturday afternoon I was expecting far more people ... it was quite empty!
Pitch beer was available and we order the BBQ large prawns, a large tandoori pomfret & fried surmai. All were cooked to perfection and pretty fresh.
Unfortunately tiger prawns were not available and crabs were not very fresh.
Overall a good experience.

I had gone there for team lunch and we opted for the buffet. The buffet was quite cheap as compared to other market players but the options were limited too. The food quality and taste was good though. I liked their sea food dishes a lot. Don't know if they serve buffet these days or not.

New to this area.. Just the beginning of my restaurant exploring. Thank god I had a lovely company who enjoyed eating fish.
It was my uncle's bday, and he insisted we go out was lunch. Initially, we were to visit another hotel, however since we had a NRI with us, we had to think of hygiene and AC. So I remember this place, as stop by. Luckily they loved the decor and the cleanliness.
Let's start with the staff.. Friendly, kind, but a little lost, maybe bad day..
Place - parking is limited, and did not see a security guard to guide..
Extremely low number of ppl who were there for lunch on a Sunday.. There were exactly 3 tables occupied.. Was a little worried about the quality. Had to quickly check the zomato reviews to confirm if it's worth eating there.
Thank god I saw 3.5 stars.
Cleanliness - to the naked eye its spic n span, however the houseflies in the restaurant said otherwise. Little disappointed.
Food - we were hungry, so decided to jump to main-course, and not try the starters, or drinks.
We ordered one pomfret pulimunchi , rawas curry, mushroom n baby corn in hot garlic sauce With garlic kulchas, and steam rice for uncle and Aunty.
Everything was lovely, but the rawas curry (manager's choice)
Dessert - gulab jamun with icecream , and vanilla ice cream. The Jamun's were soft, hot and lovely went very well with the icecream. The icecream could hv been Better, but nevertheless, was nice.
Price. 4500 for 4 ppl, with no starter or drinks, found extremely expensive.
Overall - would not mind going back to have more. Hopefully the next time there are no flies around the face when talking / eating.
Nice place from inside, but the locality is a bit let down. Parking can be a challenge in the lane, even when they have valet. Coming to the restaurant, the ambiance is nice. The fish is a bit overpriced, especially the pomprets. The portions are also small, especially in the starters. Taste wise, i found it was OK. Wasn't blown away, as the price would suggest. Staff was good though. Go there if you really wanna spend. Otherwise i think there are places with better seafood and fish really...

If you are found of Crabs the garlic butter prawns is a must try ... Most of the fish and squids I ordered were fresh and well cooked. Would love to see some Bengali cuisine included in the menu ! But for now ... Go check out the place !

Pan fried Chilly fish : This one was very decently fried and i shall recommend it to others.
Rawas Tandoori Masala : Again a good marination of spices made it nice to have ..
For Main Course :
Rawas Pulimunchi (boneless) : A very nice tomato and tamarind gravy made this dish taste different , tangy & good .. If you like to taste something different this one is worth trying..
A nice place to have sea food :) .. Something worth mentioning was their music ... they played some good old English songs of 90's ...

Very great place to have a great seafood course , went there in the night for dinner. The ambience is nice with blue and grey interior they have inner and outer sitting.
We have seafood soup there which was quite delicious with all kind on seafood fishes found in the soup a must try. Also had goan fish curry which was also nice even though i dont like coconut much yet they lived upto the expectations.

Sea food from anywhere else than your home gives a chill through your spine wondering if the food is fresh and cleaned and cooked properly. But Fish and Bait would make you change your mind. The authentic konkan sea food dishes and other varieties would confuse you to order your food. The ambience their quiet impressive. The exotic dishes and the ambience makes it a perfect place to spend time with your friends or family. The prices are a little high but the food is worth it. Must visit once cause it would make you go again and again.
As I looked at the entrance of fish n bait I was welcome in by their sincere and kind staff.
The ambience soon took over my senses as I ordered chicken lajjatdar and six tandoori rotis and began to enjoy my meal.
A pleasant venture is what I would sum it as.
Overall experience - Would like to visit again.

This is a really nice place as far as food was concerned. We had a horrendous experience as we were stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes as the elevator malfunctioned. I tried all the emergency contact numbers in the elevator but none claimed responsibility . it was however the crew at this place and the dining hall above fish and bait that pulled us out of the elevator on hearing our screams. I really hope the management does something about the emergency numbers in the elevator. As far as the food was concerned I had the lemon soup chicken which was fabulous. The starters I had ordered in the form of chicken kebabs were brilliant too. I had the mutton rogan Josh in main course and I thought the quantity of mutton pieces was a little less but the taste was amazing . rice and rotis were uptothe mark too. It was a pity I couldn't have the fish which it is famous for because it was someone else's treat but I do intent on coming back . hope the management does something about the elevator till then because my 50 year old mum really panicked inside and was a quite a bad experience for her .

Ambience was really nice. It was a pleasant atmosphere. Though only 2-3 tables were occupied.
Ordered :
1) Sol kadhi: was a bit strong. I diluted it with water. But still it was authentic.
2) Pepper Prawns: It was good. Jumbo prawns were fresh and nicely cooked. But they were overloaded with the pepper, which dominated the taste of the dish.
3) Prawns Biryani: it was great. Really nice to taste.
Service was nice. Staff was courteous, well behaved, well manered, polite and helpful.
Bill was Rs. 1121/- for one person.
Overall an nice restaurant for seafood restaurant, though a bit costly.
This place should have gotten a 4.5 for food taste alone but a few things made it fall

It was a sudden
plan. How to celebrate our 5th Month wedding anniversary :D.. We just came back
from Tarkarli trip and I was still craving for malvani fish fry and Solkadhi. Review
on Zomato made
me finalize this place. And I am glad that I picked up Fish n Bait as it turned
out awesome.
We started with Sol Kadhi and Virgin Mary. Both Spot on. Virgin Mary was one of
THE BEST we have tried till date. All the stress of long day was replaced by
happy smiles. Chef's special Jumbo Prawns and Surmai tawa fry for starters made
us even happier as it was cooked to perfection. I can still remember the Aroma
of the spices when the dish arrived.
For mains, we ordered Pomfret gassi with Neer Dosa and Steam rice. Neer Dosa
was similar to the ones I had in Mangalore. I haven’t eaten gassi before, so
don’t know if the one I had was authentic, however what I had was delicious. My
husband is very particular with Steam Rice, and the rice served here was well
prepared and of good quality.
All in all everything was good. Staff was very courteous and helping to make
suggestions as per the requirement explaining preparations style. I had called
the restaurant earlier with request of a surprise cake (brownie) with personal message
to be arranged. They don’t have bakery section (serves brownie with ice-cream only),
so the guy offered me to arrange a cake for us. I only required a piece, so he
said he will take care of it with brownie. At the end of the dinner, there were
some eye contact, signals between captain and me, and after mouth freshener, when
my hubby was not expecting anything, there came the beautifully decorated brownie
with lit candle :) :) Once we were done with cutting the brownie and enjoying
the surprise they brought the ice cream, which usually comes with it :D
For all of this Bill came to 1946 for all of this. Final verdict -
Food 9/10
Pocket friendly - 5/10
Ambience - 8/10

Ambiece : Good, sitting arrangemnets are good.
Non-Veg Starters: Good, addition of one more item will make it better.
Veg Starters: Bad, Veggies guys got seriouly disappointed with veg starters, only two options: spring rolls and Paneer, and Spring rolls were not upto the mark.
Main course: Good, addition of a few item will make it better.
Deserts: Good
You can visit this place with friends who all are non-veggies :)
Restaurant ambiance was great, starters were awesome especially garlic fish and chicken wings loved it. Worth spending 1000 bucks for two with a quality food and buyin some time for the loved ones. Will visit once again for sure... :)

I had been to this place twice.
One of the best places for sea food in town. Serves best fishes and meat items.
No wonders theres no scope for veg food here is what i thought. But i was totally wrong.
We entered this place on a weekend evening. We were 12 of us. It a college group friends meet. This place was very nicely decorated. With champagne and wine bottles kept in a stand in the open area and the tables arrangements done fabulously, they lights for such an environment were just perfect. This place is no underdog. I thought it would be from the outside.
We got our table in no time. Fortunately, there were two tables vacant.
The waiters arrived with water in no time. And then 2 mins later with the menu card.
The menu had a good variety in all sections of food. Veg non veg starters main course desserts. Drinks were on a higher side but the food was quite moderate.
I dont remember what was ordered here. This visit was quite sometime back. Buts everything was just perfect. The service was commendable. I loved the music too.
Overall a good place and had a good eating experience.
Will visit sometime to give more updates and recommendations.

been there twice in 2 weeks now, as the name says its a sea food specialty rest. Ordered Bombay duck fry and surmai boneless tikka both were good, fish used was fresh, slightly high on the pocket but if you want to eat good sea food than cant think abt budget, nicely done ambiance and service is efficient.. got a table easily on a sunday which was surprising. should give a try if you like sea food. Valet parking available

This place is good, has great ambience and cordial staffs. Food is good too, I had ordered konkani fish tikka and prawns tikka. Prices are bit high compared to the quality of food. Fish lovers in Pune can definitely pay a visit to this place. People who love to drink while savoring coastal dishes won't be disappointed either as they serve all kinds of liquor. Overall a decent place to be once in a while.
Great experience here.. Ambience is 4 out of 5. Food is the best part.... Tasty... Staff is very polite and well trained. If you plan for any event here, you won't regret. We had an event here, the chief manager was very supportive and he and his team managed 250 people very well. Paid around 1.5 lacs for everything... dinner, drinks and dance. Overall one of the finest place in Pune for any private party or even a weekend dinner with family or friends.
A must visit place for all sea food lovers. Peaceful and spacious interiors. You will struggle for parking... After all its Viman Nagar....

I was looking for a place serving good coastal delicacies and while most of the restaurants have it on their menu I just went by Zomato's ratings and selected Fish N Bait. It was a good decision at the end of the day I should say. Liked the food, the service was fine, and ambiance, well I went during late lunch hours (2.30 PM) hence no other table was occupied in that ways it was pretty peaceful but I liked the overall setup. Following are my ratings:
- Food: 4.5 out of 5 (though I went for coastal dishes, I liked the Gilauti kebab more than anything else and yes Solkadi was simply awesome)
- Service: 4 out of 5 (I trust the waitrons would have to be a little clear on what they are saying as it was a little difficult to understand their words, I was a little embarrassed requesting them to repeat what they said. If management can undertake some programs to develop their communication skills it will ultimately help those hard working guys and also the restaurant. Also while serving the Gilauti kebab, a waitron was a little fidgety mashing up one kebab completely. Mind you, the Gilauti kebabs are known to be ultra soft and they just melt in the mouth. Serving them needs a little care and waitrons can be trained on that.)
- Ambiance: 4 out of 5 ( I liked the overall setup)
- Suggestion for people visiting Fish N Bait: Solkadi and Gilauti kebabs SHOULD be tasted, they are awesome
A must on the sea food lovers list of places to dine. I have just two words for how good this place is "Ghee Roast". Sea food decadence extreme( also available in chicken)
One of d best place to have sumptuous n classy sea- food. Been here WD friends fr lunch n had good experience.. Prices r worth the food.

A friends birthday treat got us here...This place definitely serves delicious mouth watering food...v had ordered hyderabadi fish as a starter n for main course bombay duck curry n one more fish curry n prawns biryani..and m proud to say that dis place isn't disappointing at all also because it has got a desi fare...very affordable...The ambience is good..quantity also is sufficient but the service was slow..otherwise definitely a good place to go with family and friends as well!

The place is spacious and bright and clearly the food is their real business! The service is very good and the person waiting on our table (Ramesh) was skillful, attentive and quick.

Soul stirring Sol curry and amazing Bombay Duck.
This was followed by an even better Fish Ghee Roast and Neer dosa. The Ghee Roast was surely one of the best I have ever had... A must have!
Excellent sea food. A must go for ones who are fond of prawns, lobsters and other varieties fish. Very good service too. Thoroughly enjoyed their crispy prawn starters and prawn ghassi !
Great place for some good sea-food, especially goan and mangalorean dishes. Loved the ambience. Ordered prawns koliwada, appam, neer dosa and surmai gassi and ofcourse sol-kadi. Enjoyed the entire meal!

Great place for sea food. Ambience is also good. Nice place to dine with family. Avg cost 300 per person. All in all a good experience altogether.
Well this is a place where you can have excellent experience or bad experience depending on what you order.
For example, if you stick to curry, gassi, tandoori fish, appam, neer dosa, you will never have a bad experience. It's nearly impossible that they will do an average job at it.
You may have a mixed experience for fry or tawa fry.
There is a fair chance of cursing the price if you wander outside these boundaries.
Best suggestion - take a 1900 pomfret, ask half for tandoori starter and half for curry. More than enough for 3.
