Had been here today with family. Me,my wife and my kid who is 6 yrs old. My wife is a eggitarian. She ordered a Egg biryani as there is not much of choice in vegetarian. We ordered a Prawns Fry for our kid and she loved it. It was well made , little generous on oil but overall good. The egg biryani was very different and unique. Hot and Spicy. Very homely flavours. I ordered a Chicken Thali. Beautifully arranged Tambda and Pandhara rassa with sukha chiken and dahi kanda. Bhakri and chapati options are available I chose chapati. Very very tasty. Highly recommended for Kolhapuri food lovers.

A simple basic seating restaurant located on the main road near Wakad

They have a very simple and small menu

Whatever we ordered was simply superb... The flavours were bold and amazing

We ordered the following

Bangda fry... Fresh and fired to perfection

The spl Mutton Thali... This had two types of Mutton masala.. Tambda and padhra rassa... Egg masala... Sol kadhi.. Dahi Kanda.. Chapati /bhakri and rice
Both the Mutton masala was outstanding... The surprising part was the egg masala was amazing too.. This is the only place which actually took efforts to deliver a tasty egg masala in a Thali.... Tambda was okish. But their pandhra rassa was heavenly.. I lost count on the number of bowls I had of it

The crab Thali.... Now this was probably one of the best rustic crab rassa I had In a long time... Every sip of it had a kick of their gavti style coarse masala.... Competely different than the Mutton ones ... Loved it to the core.. Looking at us enjoy that rassa The owner served us this piping hot rassa time after time

The kharwas though sourced was great too

The service was fast and extremely courteous... Best part was food was served piping hot

We paid around ₹1100/- for the above food and extra plates of Mutton and many plates of kharwas

It was not at all crowded
Ordered Chicken Special Thali and Pomfret Thali..
Both were too awesome...In Chicken Thali you get two type of Chicken dishes and egg masala..
Unlimited Tambda and Pandhara rassa.
While in fish you get fish (In my case it was Pompfret rawa fry) and Sukkha fish Masala (Konkani call is golim).. Jwari Bhakri and Chapati can be customised...
Steam Rice is not mainstream Basmati but Indrayani over which they add ghee (as per choice) which I missed to click..
Solkadhi was too awesome..
We can rate food as 4/5
They take their own time for service around 20 min which is worth..
And you wont get bored if you love Old Marathi songs...
Even check will surprise you... Not too heavy for pocket...!!!

If possible try to add "Nachni Bhakri and Thandalachi Bhakri"

The best part of this was, these were served unlimited!3. 2 Bhakari/4 Chapati: The chapatis are sufficient for one person but the only thing I did not like was the thickness of the Bhakari. They serve only Bajari Bhakari and the diameter of bhakari is less and the thickness is less too.4. Dahi-Onion: Unlimited sides.5. Egg Masala: Tasty thick gravy with one boiled egg split in two.6. खूप दिवसानंतर मला आणि माझ्या एका मित्राला म्हणजेच अमित ला @_the_foodie_traveller सी फुड खाण्याची इचछा जागृत झाली मग काय आम्ही थेट वाकड ला गेलो आणि तेथे असलेल्या @dakkhanspice भेट दिली.

तेथे गेल्यानंतर पाहतो तर काय हॉटेल जास्त काही मोठे नव्हते पण तेथे खवय्यांचे गर्दी फार होती मग काय मी आणि अमित ने ठरवले की आपण तेथली फेमस असलेले एक एक थाळी मागवूया आणि काय आमचा खाण्याचा प्रवास सुरु झाला.

मग काय आमची थाळी येऊ पर्येन्त तेथले मालकांनी आमच्याशी संवाद साधला आणि सांगितले की तेथे आमदार असो वा खासदार सर्वानी भेट दिली आहे आणि त्या सर्वानी मिटक्या मारत तेथले थाळी खाल्ली आहे.

मग काय आलेली फिश थाळी असो की खेकडा थाळी असो किंवा पातोडी थाळी सगळ्या थाळ्या या एका पेक्षा एक चवीला आणि किंमत पण काही जास्त नाही.

फिश थाळी मधले फिश ही अप्रतिम होती आणि चक्क खेकडा थाळी मध्ये त्यांनी खेकडा तोडण्यासाठी पकड दिले होते सहसा तशे पकड मी इतर कुठल्याही हॉटेल मध्ये पहिले नव्हते आणि पातोडी थाळी तर होतीच लाजवाब आणि सोलकढी पण एकदम झकास.

तुम्ही पण कधी या हॉटेल ला भेट देऊन तेथल्या चवीचा आनंद घेऊ शकता.

🚦Dakkhan Spice - वाकड,

आमदार असो किंवा खासदार.. सर्वांनीच इथे भेट दिलीये. खवय्ये तर इथे येता जाता भेट देऊन जातात. म्हंटल आपन पण एकदा भेट देऊन सत्य पडताळून पाहू. म्हणुन ठरवून काल इथे भेट दिली. आत गेल्यावरच इथे काहीतरी चांगल भेटणार अशी एक positive vibes भेटली. कारण टेबलवर बसलेल्यांपैकी प्रतेक जण मिटक्या मारत जेवताना आम्हाला दिसला.
आम्हालाही एक टेबल नशिबाने लगेच भेटला आम्ही चार जण होतो म्हणून चार वेगवेगळ्या थाळी मागवायला होत्या. (कारण reviews पडताळून पहायचे होते 😉) आणि थाळी येई पर्यंत मसाला पापड मागवला पण त्यात सुद्धा आम्हाला वेगळे पण मिळाल (सुकट मसाला पापड). पुढील दोन मिनिटात पापड संपला पण.. आणि prown fry खाऊन होई पर्यंत आमच्या चार प्रकारच्या थाळी आल्या सुद्धा..
(fast Service)
1) पापलेट थाळी - तळलेला मासा अप्रतिम होता
2) चिकन थाळी - सुक्क चिकन कमालीच होत
3) खेकडा थाळी - स्वतः खाऊन पहा... तुम्हालाही नक्की आवडेल.
4) पटावडी थाळी - एकदम एक नंबर.
सहसा पुण्यात सर्वाच ठिकाणी ही पटावडी थाळी भेटत नाही. इथे तुम्हाला रोज हमखास भेटल. खेकडा थाळी हे मात्र वैशिष्टय़ आहे इथले. खेकडा कसा कुठून येतो.. तिथ पासून तर तो कसा खावा याच इतनभुत आयडिया येथील मालक स्वतःहून देतात. खेकडा फोडण्यासाठी एक पक्कड सुद्धा त्या थाळीत दिसून येते. एकंदरीत या हॉटेलला डोळे झाकून भेट द्यायला काही हरकत नाही. आणि हो जाताना ड्रायफ्रुट खायला विसरू नका... 😉

If you look forward to eat authentic maharashtrian food this is the right place to stop by. I am 38 weeks pregnant and from last few days I was craving to eat fish and chicken so I made a stop here. I requested for less spicy chicken dish and the owner was so polite that he gave me a taste of both available chicken dishes for me choose as per the spice level. Their khandeshi chicken suited me but their kolhapuri sukha chicken was yummy.

With khandeshi sukha chicken I order surmai thali which was again customised and the spice level was reduced.

I am glad I found this place.

Visited this place on 19 Oct 2019 with very low expectations and ordered Chicken thali. To my surprise Food was really good. Service was ok but most importantly please was very neat and tidy. Looking from outside might not attract u well but quality of food and cleanliness inside will leave u satisfied.

Excellent food with a very simple, homely feel😊 The set up of this place is not too fancy and caters to foodies of all types - right from the boys to the couples to the family crowd.

We had a lovely experience overall with the food and the service too. The owner walked around to each table for feedback- humble sweet gesture.

We ordered -
* Special Chicken Thali 🍗
* Surmai Thali 🐟
* Alni soup
* Extra Solkadi

Both the thali's were very good with the quantity of dishes and of course the food was super tasty.
The only thing we didn't like was the alni soup which was not a part of any thali and we had ordered it separately - it was served cold and hence didn't really find it that appealing. But I must mention their Solkadi is the best I've ever had. So much so that we even packed some extra to take home - must try!!

When we crave for Seafood we head to Dkkhan Spice... Ambiance is very good.. owner is very much courteous. Always ensure weather we like food are we comfortable etc etc. Food quality is very nice.. And quantity justifies price.. We are fan of this place... If you're staying in PCMC vicinity you must visit this place at least once ....

PS : I Donn have patience to eat hence only this pic I cud click till food comes....

आखाड म्हणलं की अनेक ठिकाणं साद घालत असतात.. असच एका ठिकाणाहून आवाज आला आणि पोहोचले मी नाव आहे #दख्खन_स्पाईस
इथे जायचं कारण असं की अनेक ठिकाणी खेकडा महाराजांचे फोटो पाहिले म्हणलं आहे तरी काय हा प्रकार. मी आजतागायत कधी याला खाण सोडा कुणी बनवून दिले घरच्यांना तरी तो डबा किचन पासून लांब ठेवत होते 🙄. Sea food lover अस बिरूद मिरवणारी मी खेकडा प्रकारापासून कोसो दूर होते. सगळीकडे खेकडा खेकडा ऐकुन मला निदान ते टेस्ट करावं असं वाटू लागलं . हेही नसे थोडके 😍🙊💪
खेकडा खायचं (टेस्ट करायचं खाईन की नाही शंका होतीच) ठरल मग दख्खन स्पाइस नाव फायनल झालं . योग्य पत्यावर पोहोचलो. दोन चार पायऱ्या चढून गेल्यावर डाव्या हाताला मस्त हवेशीर बैठव व्यवस्था आहे. आत गेल्या गेल्या समोरच शिवाजी महाराजांची अर्धी मूर्ती/पुतळा आहे त्यावर लक्ष जात . बैठक व्यवस्था प्रचंड आवडली. टेबल आणि लांब बाकडे. विषेच म्हणजे बसल्यावर पण फार उंच आणि बुटका नाही अगदी मापात! खूप स्वच्छ आणि नेटकी व्यवस्था . वर लावलेले छोटे दिवे सगळचं भुलवणारे . मनात धाकधूक चालू झाली आपण खेकडा खायला इथवर खरच आलोय का यावर विश्वास बसेना. मनावर दगड ठेवून मी मेनू कार्ड मधलं खेकडा सेक्शन काढल आणि नको म्हणलं हे कस जमायचं न्हाय आपल्याला. तोपर्यंत एक सोलकढी मागवली आणि मेन्यू कार्ड चाळत बसले. माझ्याबरोबरच लोक अजून पोहोचायचे होते..
सुदैवाने तिथे रेसटॉरंट चे मालक भोसले साहेब होते. इतर मंडळी येईपर्यंत गप्पा चालू होत्या. एकदम प्रसन्न आणि हसतमुख चेहरा. कोल्हापूरकरांना शोभतील अशा मिशा पण बोलण्यात नम्रता. माझ्या मनातील धाकधूक बोलून दाखवली खेकडा प्रकरणाबद्दल. त्यांच्या कडे गोड्या पाण्यातील काळया पाठीचे असे खेकडे मिळतात. आणि अगदी पावसाळ्याच्या सिझन मध्ये नाही तर मे महिन्यामध्ये पण उपलब्ध होतात हे ऐकुन विशेष वाटले. दख्खन स्पाइस च्या च्या प्रवासाबद्दल विचारले असता समजले की रेसटॉरंट ला दोन वर्ष पुर्ण झाली परंतु मी सोडले तर इथे आलेला प्रत्येक ग्राहक हा एक पेक्षा जास्त वेळा आला होता.
चवी बद्दल म्हणाल तर साधारण १४८ वर्षे जुनी अशी पणजी पासून ची जुनी मसाल्यांची परंपरा ते जपत आले आहे. म्हणजेच इथल्या पाककृती इतक्या वर्षांचा जुना वारसा असलेल्या आहेत. त्यामुळे चवीत जुनी आणि पारंपरिकता आहे. आता इथल्या सगळ्या पाककृती बघण्याचे श्रेय त्यांच्या पत्नीला जाते. हॉटेल चे मालक म्हणाले तुम्ही नक्की खाऊन पहा आमचे खेकडे खरच टेस्टी आहेत. काही होणार नाही😛. एकदा खाल तर पुढच्या वेळी नक्की खाल. शेवटी जीवावर दगड ठेऊन मी यांची speciality असलेली #खेकडाथाळी मागवली 🙊 .
त्याआधी स्टार्टर म्हणून पापलेट फ्राय मागवले जरा मनाची तयारी व्हावी म्हणून.

#पापलेट_फ्राय
टेबल वर अल्याल्याच मस्त घमघमाट. .. त्यामुळे वेळ न दवडता लगेच तुकडा तोडला. मासा फ्रेश . व्यवस्थित फ्राय केलेला आवरण खुसखुशीत . जोडीला पुदिना हिरवीगार चटणी कांदा लिंबू 😍😋

#खेकडा_थाळी :
आला आखडाचा महिना झटपट खायला चला..
मला पाहिजे खेकडा...🦀🦀🦀
बापरे! यात खेकड्या पेक्षा हत्यारे च पाहून जीव घाबरला माझा. यात खेकडा रस्सा, आणि वाटीत वेगळा आणखी रस्सा , सुकट चटणी, सोलकढी, कांदा, लिंबू आणि बाजरीची भाकरी असं ताट पुढ्यात आले.
#खेकडा_रस्सा :
नांग्या एकदम भारी दिसत होत्या. यालाच काही जण आंगड्या असेही म्हणतात. दोन मस्त दिसत होत्या. मला तर खूपच उत्सुकता होती. बर खायचं कस हेच माहित नव्हतं. . एवढा लांब अडकित्ता आणि मोठ्या दाभण असावी असं काहीसं होत. न लाजता त्यांना सागितले हे खायचं कस अन् त्या हत्यारांच करायचं काय ? क्षणाचाही विलंब न लावता ते म्हणाले आलोच हात धुवून. खूप छान पद्धतीने त्यांनी नांगी तोडायची कशी हे शिकवलं आणि आतला गर काढून खायचा कस हे पण सांगितल. कवच फोडल्यावर आत तंतुमय असे मांस दिसते.आधी वाटलं लै अवघड हाय गड्या 🙄 पण नंतर मी ट्राय केले तर जमले . काय सुपारी फोडल्यासारख फोडायच पण महाराजांची कवच अस उडत म्हणून अडकित्याने दाबताना जरा दुसऱ्या हाताने झाकून घ्यायचं. आतला पांढरा गर मस्त होता शिजवलेल्या कणासासारख लागत होत आणि मध्येच ओल खोबर असतं तसच आहे म्हणलं हे! चव खूप छान लागली अजिबात खाताना मला किळसवाणे वैगैर वाटणार नाही. त्याचा रस्सा तर जबरी होता अशी चव बहुतेक चिकन मटण ला येत नाही . मी त्यांची फार आभारी आहे. त्यांच्या मुळे मी खेकडा खाऊ शकले मी खेकडा खाल्ला त्याच सगळं श्रेय त्यांना आणि त्यांच्या पत्नीला आहे☺️🙏

#रस्सा_वाटी : मी खर सांगायचं तर घाबरतच रस्सा चमच्याने चाखला. प्रचंड वेगळी चव आहे. चिकन रस्सा किंवा मटण रस्सा यापेक्षा हा एक वेगळाच रस्सा आहे बुआ.. असं जाणवलं मस्त झणणीत प्रकरण आहे हे. वाटी मोठी होती अर्धी वाटी रस्सा प्यायला मी.आवडलाय मला 😌 एवढ्याच साठी केला होता अट्टाहास .... हेच म्हणीन मी

#सुकट :
सुकट मला प्रचंड आवडते . नुसती भाजलेली देखील खाते मी . थाळी मधली सुकट चवीला छान जमली किंचित अजून क्रिस्पी हवी होती. पावसामुळे कदाचित किंचित नरम पडली होती पण चवीला छान.

पहिल्यांदा खेकडा खात असल्याने यातले सगळ नाही खाऊ शकणार मी मी म्हणून माझ्यासाठी आणखीन एक #मटणथाळी मागवली होती. अर्थात मी मेन्यू कार्ड ला बोकडाच मटण वाचले होते तेव्हाच जीव भांड्यात पडला होता . इथे बोकडाच मटण मिळतं. जे बोल्हाई खात नाही त्यांच्यासाठी ही स्पेशल मटण थाळी पर्वणी च आहे

#स्पेशल_मटण_थाळी :
मटण थाळीत ६/७ वाट्या होत्या. तांबडा रस्सा , पांढरा रस्सा, कोल्हापुरी पद्धतीचं रंगाने लाल असं मटण, खान्देशी पद्धतीचे काळे मटण, अंडा मसाला, दही कांदा मिक्स असं सलाड, बाजरीची भाकरी, सोलकढी आणि लिंबू. एवढे पदार्थ होते.
#तांबडा_रस्सा : खतरनाक होता जवळ जवळ म्हणजे ४ वट्यांपेक्षा जास्त प्यायले. माझं नुस्तं आने दे आने दे एवढंच चालू होत 😌😋😋😋😜

#पांढरा_रस्सा :
कोल्हापुरी पद्धतीचा पांढरा . नुसती वाटी एकदा तोंडाला लागली की संपवून च खाली ठेवत होते. वाढणारे पण बघत होते माझी वाटी संपली की मॅडम आणू का विचारायचे मी फक्त हसले की आणायचे . मस्त गरम गरम सर्व्ह कर त होते मी अर्धी अर्धी वाटी दर वेळी घेत होते गरम पिता यावं म्हणून किती वाट्या झाल्या काय माहीत पण तांबड्या पेक्षा जास्त प्यायले हे नक्की.

#काळं_मटण :
याची चव तंतोतंत खान्देशी पद्धतीची होती. हॉटेल चे मालकांच्या पत्नी धुळ्याच्या असल्याने एकदम परफेक्ट चव उतरली आहे. नाव ठेवायला अजिबात जागा नाही. माझ्या एका मित्राची आई पुण्यात आल्यावर खान्देशी पद्धतीचं काळ मटण करतात ते खाल्लं आहे बऱ्याचदा मी त्यामुळे तिकडची चव माहीत आहे.

#कोल्हापुरी_मटण
सुक्खा मटण प्रकरातले. पूर्ण शिजलेले आणि अस्सल कोल्हापुरी मसाल्यात मुरलेले.. लै भारी.

#अंडा_मसाला : चवीला मस्त होता मसाला. सगळ्यांची चव वेगळी वेगळी . अती तिखट नाही . चव घेऊन खता येईल एवढे च तिखट

#भाकरी : इथे बाजरीची भाकरी खायला मिळाली . थोडा वेगळेपणा वाटला. नाहीतर साधारणपणे ज्वारीची च भाकरी असते. आकार बऱ्यापैकी मोठा. बाजरी घरच्याच शेतात पिकत भाकरी असल्याने चवदार लागली.
थोड्याच वेळात मी एका छोट्या ठोक्याच्या डिश ची मागणी केली. आणि मस्त भाकरी चुरली वरून रस्सा ओतला की लिंबू पिळून ह... सुरू मग संपेपर्यंत थांबायचं नाही. जोडीला कांदा आणि रस्सा मस्त प्यायला. मस्त अनुभव 😋💯

#सोलकढी : अप्रतिम, सुंदर, भारी, लै भारी हे सगळे शब्द फिके आहेत त्या सोलकढी पुढे. मी किती ग्लास प्यायले चक्क ६ गेल्या पासून ते निघेपर्यंत माझे ६ ग्लास व्हावेत एवढी ती सुंदर होती. अगदी authentic. म्हणजे गोड आंबट नी घशा जवळ घोट पोहोचला की येणारा तिखत स्वाद आये हाये.. खरच भारी 🙏😍
बाकी दह्यातल्या कांद्या पेक्षा मला साधा कांदा आवडला मी तो खाल्ला.

#इंद्रायणी_भात :
अस्सल चव आणि त्यावर साजूक तूप अहाहा.. रस्सा आणि भात मस्त. गेलात तर इथल्या सोलकढी सोबत पण खाऊन बघा भारी लागतंय.

#फ्रूटखंड : जेवण झाल्यावर हात धुतला आणि मला विचारलं की मॅडम फ्रूटखंड देऊ का. . मी नको म्हणे पर्यंत म्हणाले खाऊन तर बघा छान आहे. आणि काय सांगू खरच अप्रतिम आहे हे नुसतं चाखायला घेतलेले आम्ही एक एक अजून मागवले. हे ज्यांनी कोणी बनवलं आहे खूप मनापासून बनवलं आहे. सुका मेवा आणि ताजी फळ यांचं मिश्रण किवी पासून अक्रोड पर्यंत सगळं होत त्यात चालत असेल नॉनव्हेज नंतर गोड तर नक्की खाऊनच या. लै भारी .

दख्खन स्पाइस म्हणजे #कोल्हापूर आणि #धुळे यांचं मिश्रण आहे. जे की छान जमून आलाय. चव तर अगदी घरी बनवलेल्या मसाल्यांची आहे. विशेष म्हणजे बोकडाच मटण आहे. चव, अंबीएन्स, स्टाफ सगळं चांगलं आहे. हॉटेल चे मालक सगळ्यांनाच लक्ष देऊन काय हवं नको ते विचारात होते.. लांबून लांबून लोक खास खाण्यासाठी इथे आली होती. आपल्या चेहऱ्यावर खल्याचे समाधान पाहून हॉटेल हॉटेल चे मालक आणि स्टाफ सगळेच समाधानी दिसले.
मी सांगिन की खेकडा खाणार असाल तर इथे जा आणि माझ्यासारखं पहिल्यांदाच खाणार असाल तर इथेच म्हणजे इथेच जा. ज्या मुली / स्त्रिया खेकडा खात नसतील त्यांनी नक्की खायला सुरुवात करा. स्त्रियांच्या शरीरासाठी. उत्तम असतो खेकडा 💪 खेकडा खायला जास्त वेळ लागतो . आणि खूप लक्ष केंद्रित करून खावे लागते .. काटे असलेल्या मशांप्रमाणे.. मस्त खा एन्जॉय आखाड.

An interesting Medley religion of maharastrian cuisines, If you are near by wakad area and craving for best authentic non veg specially sea food then this is the place. The aroma gives you nice and quick boost and opens your taste buds

We had ordered Chicken Thali and King Fish Tawa Fry. The thali includes a bowl of pandhara (white) rassa, tambda (red) rassa, kala chicken masala, dry chicken and egg curry along with bajara bhakari. If anybody like chapati, its also available. Solkadi and rice will get served with all the thalis

Overall ambience is decent and bit old fashion however taste is amazing and mouthwatering. Service and staff are very polite.

I would definitely recommend this one to all of you.The overall thali experience is good. Hence the rating are a below

Was welcomed to the restaurant by sweet smiling Rajdeep who manages the restaurant...and his wife who is in charge of the cooking...
As our tastebuds were alrdy tingling with the wonderful aroma of the masalas..we quickly placed an order for the special mutton thali pomfret thali and ordered for kaala chicken sukka and prawns fry for starters along with solkadhi
Our patience was rewarded. ...the starters arrived and were fantastic...the chicken was tender and beautifully coated with the kala masala with just the right amount of spice...and
the prawns fry was light and crispy😀✌️👌👌👌
The solkadhi was delicious and went well with the meal...the mutton thali came with kaala mutton sukka kolhapuri sukka tambda and pandhraa rassa dahi Kanda chapatii egg masala
All tasted simply great..the masalas were flavourful and rich and the mutton waas well cooked
The pomfret thali came with bhakri one fried pomfret which was the star of the thali fresh and crispy on the outside and moist and flavourful on the inside...along with dry fish sukat and fish curry...
Overall had a wonderful and satisfying meal

One of the best places to have thali. Being a regular to this place for 4-5 months I havent seen any deviation in taste and quality. They have one of the most important thing at thus place which all other places lacks is there humility. Stays are so courteous and the owner comes to your table to take the feedback about the taste n quality. Every staff has a genuine smile on there faces while serving the delicious food.
They have there anniversary and we went to have our usual chicken thali and there was a celebration going on. Still they asked us to join and served the food without any bill. The additional add on was also present.
It always have been wonderful being out there.

We were welcomed by the traditional Maharashtrian drink - Solkadi. It was soothing and refreshing.

Sukat Papad - An innovative papad which was garnished with Sukat which is a special variety of chopped fish.

◆ Starters◆

1) Prawns Rawa fry - The masala was amazing and the prawns were fresh. Made this dish crispy and very flavourful!
2) Chicken Sukka - Marinated in special kolhapuri masala , the taste left us crazy. Could have been cooked a little properly, but the dish was still enjoyable.
3) Pomfret Fry - Crispy and fresh and garnished with onions, this acted as a perfect starter.

◆Thalis◆

1) Surmai Thali - This thali had fried surmai which was cooked to perfection in a very tasty masala. It also had a fish curry , sukat , solkadi , rice and chapati. Very filling and satisfying.

2) Mutton Thali - Mutton chops mixed in the special masala made it a heavenly experience. This thali also had egg curry , tamda rassa , pandhra rassa and rice. The tamba and pandhra rassa had a different indulging taste altogether.

3) Crab thali - This was the first time I genuinely relished crabs!! It was perfectly cooked and the crab gravy also had an amazing taste. MUST TRY!!! The crab thali was served with fish curry , sukat , solkadi , rice and Bhakri.

Kharvas - a special maharashtrian dessert made from milk and jaggery for the flavour. Was very delectable and tongue-pleasing.

The ambience is very simple yet very inviting and the staff is friendly too!

All non - veg lovers must visit this place and I bet you won't be disappointed!😁

The Godfather Eats

Located near the Wakad bridge, Dakkhan Spice looks quite ordinary from the outside, but as you go inside, you will be pleased to see the rustic ambience with wooden seating and soft marathi songs playing in the background. Inspite of the tin roof, the temperature was quite ambient and the seating was comfortable. I tried out a few dishes which were quite impressive.

SOLKADHI - It had a great consistency and was a bit creamy and sour. The coconut milk and kokum were adequately added with a nice blend of the coriander and cumin powder.

POMFRET FRY - This dish, here, is quite simple but delicious. Batter fried pomfret with a little crisp on the outside was served with coriander and mint chutney. The fish was very well cooked as it left ideal strands of fish meat and wasn't too salty.

PATODI RASSA THALI - The curry was really hot yet delicious. The besan patodis had a hint of grated coconut seasoned over them and the result was an amazingly hot and delicious curry. It was served with chapati, solkadhi and the delicious indrayani(sticky) rice.

MUTTON THALI - It consisted of boiled egg curry, mutton sukka, unlimited tambda-pandhra rassa, indrayani rice and onion raita. It's available in 2 bhakri/3 chapati variant. The mutton sukka was very well cooked as the meat was falling off the bones without any effort. The masala over it was hot and very relishing and complimented the meat outstandingly. The egg curry was delectable, too. But the tambda-pandhra rassa was not upto the mark. I would have liked more mutton elements in the thali.

FRUIT KHAND - It has been a while that I have had this delicious dish. I last had it in Nagpur few years ago. It had a homemade taste to it and was loaded with figs, kiwi and black dried raisins. It was really thick and the sweetness wasn't too overpowering. The tastebuds came alive from the little sourness of the kiwi and the raisins, and from the fleshiness and the sweetness of the figs. The owner mentioned that the fruits used are changed according to the season.

Overall, Dakkhan Spice has maintained the authenticity in the food around its name. And, it doesn't burn any hole in your pocket. The service is quick and the menu is simple but has everything that we crave for. So, do visit this place to relish this amazing western and southern Maharashtrian regional cuisine.

Located in Wakad on the aundh hinjewadi road, this place is known to serve authentic maharashtrian cuisine. The place looks small from outside but is adequately sized when you go inside. The ambience is decent with well done interiors. Ample seating arrangement with marathi folk music in background is bound to keep you cool in the afternoon heat. Coming to the menu, it is neatly segregated into seafood, mutton, chicken and veg.

One special thing about this place is that all the masalas used in the recipes are made in house. This is very much appreciable as no preservatives and colors are used.

We tried:

PRAWNS FRY
Battered prawns deep fried. Even after being deep fried these were not at all oily. Medium spicy flavours went well with the pudina chutney provided.

PRAWNS MASALA
Prawns cooked in a spicy onion and garlic masala. Prawns were well cooked and the tail provided a definite crunch to it.

POMFRET THALI
The thali consisted of pomfret fry, sukat (shrimp) chutney, fish curry, chapati/bajri bhakri, portion of indrayani rice and solkadi. The pomfret fry was well cooked and seemed very fresh. The fish curry was spicy and flavourful (and unlimited!!) and tasted great with the hot chapati. The sukat chutney was good. One thing I loved about the thali was the indrayani rice in it. Indrayani rice is basically a sticky rice which tastes great when served with ghee and gravy.

CRAB CURRY
This was the first time I tried black crab and I was glad I did, as it tastes way better than the red one. The curry came with crab claws. The way to eat crab is a bit complicated with special cutlery to break the shell and release the meat. The meat was tender and well cooked. The curry it came it had perfectly balanced flavours and was bit on the spicier side. Must try with indrayani rice.

SOLKADI
Spicy and tangy konkani drink made with kokam and milk. The drink was refreshing and went well the thali.

KHARVAS
One of the very few places which serve delectable kharvas. Kharvas is basically a milk pudding made from milk colustrum (i.e. The first form of milk produced within one of two days of giving birth). Perfect way to end the meal on a good note.

Overall an amazing place to try seafood. Special mention to the owner Mr. Dalvi who was polite enough to help us with the menu and tell us about the specialities of various dishes. Must visit once.

As my family wanted to eat some real spice of mutton so i directly ordered from dakkhan spice
What - 1 mutton handi , bangada fry 3 , chapati 10 , chicken fry 3
And i am really surprised by the taste it was soo good even better than i expected
Mutton was properly cooked and the gravy was nicely spiced not too much spices added in it they keep it simple. The bagada was nicely fried not deep fried but the chutny and fish combo was lit 🔥
Just the bagada fish was some little bit not that good as i was expecting
Considering the ratings on zomato the restaurant proves that they serve one of the best non veg dishes in pimpri Chinchwad.
I will suggest you to go there and try their chicken/mutton thali. As my friends have suggested to me. Though i dont have tried it till now but i will try it ASAP

Good location, decent seating arrangement, ample waiting area, reasonable rates, good service and most importantly good food. Divided into four sections (seafood, chicken, mutton and veg) and each section having only a few items to choose from, it's not at all confusing what to order. We reached around 8:30 and it was moderately crowed with two tables being vacant. Midway through our dinner, more and more people started coming.

We ordered Surmai fry for starters and Chicken, mutton and crab thali for main course. Surmai was fresh and juicy. From my chicken thali I liked chicken sukka the most. Pandhara rassa was tasty. Thambda rassa could have been slightly more flavorful. The taste and texture of bhakari was very homely. My friends enjoyed their mutton and crab thalis.

Overall it was a good experience.

This little joint offers some commendable fish and in a very agreeable price range.

Pomfret Fry and Surmai Fry were almost top notch. They were medium sized creatures. Worth the keemat. The green chutney they serve on the side was just the right amount of "damn good!" I wish they would serve a larger portion of it to begin with.

I had both the items to go. The packing was proper. They put little holes on the lid so that the fish doesn't get moistened a whole bunch. They care.

The interior was sort-of dimly lit and the space was creatively utilized. A major positive.
When I complimented the manager on this, his previous formal demeanor changed and he insisted I visit again and have the fish there. He also recommended the lamb there, which I will be trying out soon enough. I was waiting outside for the take away and the waiter went out of his way to hand over the parcel to me in the parking space as they didn't want to keep the food packed any longer than absolutely necessary.

Visited this place 3-4 times. We have tried pomfret thali, surmai thali, mutton thali, chicken thali, prawns masala starter dish . Liked the taste of food here.Chapati's are very soft and like homemade. Fish fry is also good. Solkadhi is yummy. Service is very polite and prompt. Ambiance is not great but good.
VFM. Overall each one has different taste buds 😋😋. So Experience may vary😊

My mom and I recently visited Dakkhan Spice Restaurant in Nigdi Pradhikaran and were blown away by the quality of food and service. We decided to try the Kolhapuri mutton fry thali and pomfret fry thali and were not disappointed. The taste was authentic and the mutton was cooked to perfection. The pomfret was fresh and crispy, making for a delightful texture. The curries were authentic and tasty. The portion sizes were plenty, and we were both satisfied with the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant gives vibes of Maharashtrian culture and we enjoyed the comfortable seating. The staff was friendly, making our dining experience better. Overall, we had a fantastic time at Dakkhan Spice Restaurant in PCMC.

Recently visited Dakkhan Spice to try their famous Non-veg food. Believe me it turned out to be one of the best in the town. I tried their chicken kharda fry, prawns fry, pomfret fry thali & Dakkhan special chicken fry thali. Everything item was so good in taste. The owner and the staff is very kind in behaviour & service. I highly recommend you all to try their food once.

Tried fish here. What they promise is what they serve. Very fresh fish. Homely preparation. Prawns kharda is a must try. Have never had prawns in such kind of preparation made of green chillies thecha n कोथिंबीर. The food is cooked to perfection and with perfect amount of spices. Also tried Kolhapuri tambda pandhra rassa. It was very traditionally prepared. Overall must must try place in Pradhikaran Pune.

Finally visited Dakkhan Spice after it was shifted to Pradhikaran from wakad. Now it's much closer to my home, but for whatever reason I could never make it until now and the visit was worth it. Ordered Prawns masala fry followed by Kolhapuri chicken fry thali. Prawns were fresh and juicy and masala was very flavourful. Pandhara rassa and chicken sukka were delicious. Chicken Rassa could have been better. Bhakaris were perfect. Overall I had a great experience and looking forward to exploring their seafood further.

I've tried their special goat meat thali which priced Rs. 483 (460+gst) and it was flavourful. The mutton keema which they served in the thali, hardly had the flavour of mutton, otherwise all were satisfactory. **Don't forget to ask the rice if you are willing to eat. At first I thought that white thing is made of rice so I didn't ask for rice, but then got to know there's rice (when I almost finished my eating). So, it's better to serve all the items together or inform prior to avoid these things.**

Loved this place and their service. Their recommendations were apt. We tried Surmai Thali (both fried and rawa fried) and chicken thali. 1. Surmai Thali - it was delicious and portions were sufficient and pocket friendly. 2. Chicken Thali - 2 different types of chicken with egg and tambda/ pandhra rassa served. PANDHRA RASSA was yummy. 3. Prawns fry - yummy and crunchy sufficient for 2 person. All the Thali comes with Solkhadi which is authentic preparation.

Surmai Thali was feast for me. Surmai with pudina+coconut chutney was just delicious. Solakadi in Surmai Thali was the best I ever had, must try it. Chicken thali was also good especially Pandhara rassa. Overall nice food.
