Writing here all memories and experiences we had, Tried their chole bhatures and veg parantha. Both things were amazing. To delight ourselves we also ordered Patiala Lassi and its quantity was huge. It can easily appetize 2 people. The food was fresh and hygienic.
I ordered one amritsari naan thali and it was really tasty😍. The quantity was also good and it was quite filling. So, if you are bored from eating normal paranthas then this is what you should order next. Amazing place.

The best parathas I've tried in pune! Coming from delhi, I never found that delhi taste wherever I tried parathas! But this place is just wow. They've got some super luscious varieties of parantha , out of which I loved the chur chur naan paratha the most! Methi hariyali paratha was also yumm. Another must try is jalebi Rabdi. This place is definitely a must try!

Every time when I come to Pune I always order this paratha and its so filling and complete that you need nothing else. It’s very tasty cheesy Paratha with lot many other sides that makes it complete for lunch. Only a suggestion if you keep sweet as optional that will be great! Must try
The parathas are served with dal makhni, chole, salad and raita. Of all the parathas that I've tried the cheese paratha and veg dilliwala are my favorite although none of the parathas will disappoint. If you have a large enough appetite, you have to try their Patiala lassi!
A perfect thali for the hungry people who love to eat some good flavours and being a delhite I would say the taste and standard was up to my mark. The chole and dal makhani were fabulous need a little more flavour in rajma but still you won’t regret ordering the shahjis special thali.

Craving for authentic north Indian food in Pune ? This place has got you covered ! This place has been serving authentic north Indian food for years in Pune. This is the oldest joint as the restaurant has opened 3 branches in Pune. Went there on a recent visit and had the following -
Chole bhatura - spicy chole topped with golden fried bhature and your day is made. The taste and the presentation were equally fantastic !
Chur chur naan thali - this is a naan which is served with dal makhani and chole - taste was amazing and ticked all the right boxes for me !
Dahi bhalla - this is a type of north Indian papdi chaat. It tasted quite similar to the one I had in Delhi some time back.
Lassi - this was the last thing we ordered as you cannot have anything once you have this huge class of tasty lassi. It was thick and loaded with malai.
Overall a decent family dinner restaurant. It's a very small place with only 6 tables. So plan your visit accordingly.

Haven't visited the outlet. Ordered online. I had mini thali and I was amazed to see the packing of the thali. They had packed it with such a precision. Simply loved it.
Now coming to food quality, quantity and taste. It had Rajma, dal (yellow), matar paneer, dahi, salad, papad, rice, two tandoori roties, wooden spoon, tissue paper and pickle.
Everything was delicious. Never had such an appetizing thali in Pune in past couple of years.
I have been here many times they serve the best paratha thali. The place is quite small u would have to wait 10-15mins but the food is worth the wait I had order cheesy aloo paratha thali which is loaded with cheese which was really amazing 😋

Best place in Pune for paratha. Served with Dal makhani (simply the best), aloo korma, raita. Aloo banarasi is a must try and paneer onion is also pretty good. Patiala lassi is also a must try. Won't recommend any chat items though. All items are on the heavier side.

Parking is the issue here for car, don't come here by car. This is the place is small but very clean. This is one of the must try place in Pune.

Went to this place after a lot of deliberation. Ordered the Dal Lasooni Paratha, Chur Chur Naan Thali and Dahi Bhalle Papdi. The Dal Lasooni paratha was piping hot and full of flavors. It had a very mild garlic flavor which complimented the taste. The Chur Chur Naan Thali is a must try if you visit this place. It had two buttery naan's with filling and chopped onions. Every thali comes with Dal Makhani, Aloo Curry, Raita and salad. Their Dal Makhani has a smoky flavor which makes it even more delicious. Totally worth the money!

I visited place with friends. We tried 4 types of Paratha but i can recall 2 names exact. One of Cheese Cheese other was Churma paratha.
But was really amazing. Also Patiyala lassi was just too amazing. You can try thali also here. One of the best place in Pune to try different variation of food.

we have ordered paratha thalis from this restaurant.food packing done in a boxes & all dishes were covered in foil paper.over all packing was done nicely.
Now About food:-
we ordered few types of parathas
1.aloo cheese paratha-stuffing was made with smashed potato with good amount of cheese & green chillies.Not too spicy not too light.
2.aloo banarasi paratha- It has stuffing of aloo sabji in banarasi style which was really tasty.
3.veg dilliwala paratha- mix vegetable sabji stuffed in paratha.It was a new dish which I tried first time & It was really tasty.
4.papad paratha- roasted papad sabji in north indian style was stuffed in.
5.veg polao-The pulav was very bland..the rice and vegetables cooked ok, but the vegetables had no taste of any spice.
As suggestions would appreciate if the restaurant mentioned the name of paratha on top of the box,so that people don't get confused

a small, unassuming place that belives in the rich quality of food served.. Be it the chat or the paratha in the thali, or the accompanying veggies, nothing disappoints.. Quantity wise and quality wise it's very good .. Definitely worth visiting over n over..

Been to Pune from Delhi and didn't expect to find such good place to have North Indian food, so good that had two meals out of three here at Shahji's. Place is small but very clean, minimal ambiance and usually packed on weekend. I ordered Shahji's special thali. It's a must try. A wholesome fulfilling meal. Everything from Dal makhani to paneer and even Fresh Dahi was delicious. The next time I ordered a Cheesy Cheese Paratha and Shahji special Dal Chawal and man I was blown. Each spoon of Dal was a delicious explosion of flavors in my mouth accompanied with rice was such a mesmerizing experience that would again bring me back to this place. I was surely recommend visiting this place, easy on money and absolutely delicious food.
Went for lunch with friends. Small place located on an extremely busy congested road, for a 4 wheeler parking is next to impossible. The place is small but well limit with decent amount of sitting. Another plus is quick service and reasonable rates for thalis. On recommendation, we tried chur chur parantha and dahi bhalla. Also ate chawal chola. Chur chur parantha was delicious but found dahi balls buck average. Chola chawal was some where in between say 7/10. Tandoori Chur chur parantha is a must try. The other things in thali like dal makhni, raita were good too. Would recommend if you are a little hungry and want to eat delicious North Indian food at a reasonable price. Quality is definitely better than some place like chaithanya.

Go for Chur-chur Naan thali... it's a delight...1 thali is sufficient for a foodie person. For desserts check their today's special menu, and then go for that sweet. Patiala lassi is like cherry on the cake if you are a hardcore punjabi.1 glass if it can fill upto 4stomachs. Service is very good, place is crowdy during peak hours and may have you waiting for 10-15mins. Ambience is good, and worth the food u eat.

Starting off on a good note they serve really delicious food no doubt in that. We had Veg Dilliwala Paratha,Veg Biryani Paratha and the Shahji's Mini Thali. For the price point it's an absolute deal. They were served hot, with loads of butter and every item in the thali was lip smacking! A glass of buttermilk after the heavy meals will definitely make you want a good sleep😇
The only issue here is the ambience and the accommodation. The place is too small and hardly 20-25 people can manage to sit inside. Also it's mostly crowded so you'll have to wait for your turn.There's also a major parking problem in the peth areas. (Kind of a turn off)
The service is good. They were courteous and quick enough to take our orders before hand while we were waiting for our turn to go in and the food was served as soon as we sat in.

Service was quick. Both the items were served with dal makhani, curry, raita, salad and gulab jamun. It was delicious. Chur chur naan and paratha had amazing filling inside it and cooked perfectly. Within 15 mins, we finished everything. Jumbo lassi was really big, more than sufficient for 2.

Visited Pune last week so landed here with my relatives from pune as they recommended us this place.Its a small pure veg restaurant located at laxmi road which is always crowded..Basic simple decor,bright ambiance. There was long waiting but we managed to get a table in 10 mins.We ordered for aloo parantha,methi parantha,mix veg parantha,pizza parantha,paneer bhurjee parantha,Punjabi kadi pakoda,paneer lababdar and biryani trust me every dish was perfect,flavors taste,quality and quantity just amazing specially Biryani it was made with pure desi ghee with perfect spices and flavors and all these delicacies at pocket friendly price our total bill was around 1200 bucks. Even though the place was crowded service here is super quick and the staff is very attentive and helpful.Go for it if you are in Pune.

I havent been here recently but went many times earlier , even before it got this famous n even before they decided to start a branch on apte road. This place has amazing parathas. Once u eat here its hard for anyother paratha place to satisfy u as well. Place is small. A littlemore cleanliness improvement is recommended. Parking can be a problem unless its beyond 8pm. The owner is always there so that takes care of the taste consistency. They also have daily changing menus. Their Dalmakhni, chur chur naan is delicious.Gulabjam is tasty. The parathas dripped in butter, ghee and best part is being big sized portions, u r allwoed to share your dish. N its definitely cheaper that their apte road branch- guess location premium is charged. Had it been not far, inwards in the lanes i wd have gone there more frequently but whenever i have work in that area this place pops up in the back of my mind n i set my dinner plan at tjis place n dont miss out on the great taste!!
The place is very congested but the parathas out here are irresistible.You will also find the rates being cheaper than their branch at Deccan Gymkhana,so another reason to check this place out.If you can give up on ambience then it is a great place to visit.

Shahjis paratha house rasta peth ... bus naam hi kafi hein.... the best place for parathas Thalis in pune ... took a parcel of chur chur naan thali. Which has 2 naan .... chole... dal ... raita... pickle and salad... priced at rs 180 + rs 15 for packing charges... boss look at the packing even one of the best places in pune don’t pack the food properly ... had a word with the manager there ... he was like ke sir hum 2 customer kaam karengein lekin service aur quality mein kabhi compromise nahin karengein... being a small it’s very hygienic... keep up the great work guys...
This is surely a gem in Pune for thalis.
The place is a bit cramped up but it goes not matter as when the food comes you will forget anything around you and just take a dip in the amazing paratha's, lassi, lotha chach, thalis, and halwa.

The restaurant is very small and ambience is not good but the food is great. Had the Onion parantha, Dilliwala parantha and badam kesar thandai. Quantity is food as well.

I have been to this place multiple times and each time they amaze me with their taste and quality. I have tried Amritsari Naan Thali, Panner Cholle Bhatura, Paneer Paratha, Patiala Lassi, Gajar ka Halwa, Moong daal Halwa. All these things have amazing taste and the quantity is fulfilling for a single person. One should definitely try the Gajar ka Halwa and Moong daal Halwa. It tastes delicious.
The place usually have a waiting period so prepare yourself for it.

Tastes wonderful, the amount of butter given is plenty and the cheese just melts in your mouth❤ The only negative IMO is that you only get one parantha in a thali, no paranthas are served separately or additionally. You need to buy another thali for a parantha.

Review: If you love the bitter raste of methi, this one is a must-have-one kind of item. Lot of butter and comes with a common serving of dal, aloo shabji, boondi raita and a little side serving of onion-cabbage.

Great taste and very consistent. Eating there since 2010 and as far as I remember, the tastes, preparation and quality of the food haven't changed a bit.
It is advised to go there a little early as they have limited tables and waiting line during rush hours.. Even though, the food is worth the wait.. For quick dine in prefer time before 1 pm for lunch and before 8 pm for dinner.
