This place has always been my favourite when it comes to having a proper meal. I usually have pav Bhaji here but the taste of north Indian food is amazing. The quantity is good enough. The food is always hot and fresh. They serve delicious lip-smacking food at reasonable prices. Good to go with friends and family.
We ordered pav bhaji which was really good in taste wise but average in its portion
This is one of nice vegetarian restaurant on that road.
We went for lunch and it was much crowded place at that time.
We ordered Veg kolhapuri, Masala Pav and Butter roti.
Veg kolhapuri was amazing in taste. Masala pav was as well spicy and delicious.
Roti's quality was so-so.

This place brings back alot of old memories. One of the few restaurants in Pune which is old and their food taste never gets old.
Their south Indian food is delicious even the north Indian food.
Along with that this place is where I ate many of my meals during college days.

परवा म्हंटल बघू जाऊन कसं आहे सध्या... 1996 ला पहिल्यांदा आणि 2013 ला शेवटचं गेलो होतो.
छान वाटलं, 22 रुपये ते 140 रुपये हा पाव भाजी चा प्रवास अनुभवला. बाकीचे सगळेच पदार्थ काहींच्या काही महाग करून ठेवलेत बुआ.
We ordered,
1. पाव भाजी - उत्तम चव. लाजवाब भाजी आणि त्यावर बटर चा गोळा आणि पाव पण बटर मधे नुकतेच पोहून बाहेर आलेले !!
2. म्हंटल नेहमी दर्शन मधे घेतो, आज इकडे ट्राय करू अस म्हणून
स्पेशल tacos ट्राय केले.

This sober Family Restaurant has got me crazy!
Such a great food with prompt service.
If you’re a fan of South Indian food then I really suggest you to eat atleast 2 plates of Idli here. It won’t disappoint you, I swear. Mexican is too, worth giving a try.
My parents had come to visit me last month, I took them 4 times to Shiv Sagar in 7 days.
Specifically addressing, The Uncle with the Long Thumb Nail there is probably the best employee they have. He’s so much humble. 5 Stars to his service.

Taste was fine with limited spices. I was expecting something extra ordinary but didn't find the expected taste.

Usually crowded in the evenings Very authentic and tasty food. It is a well known food chain across mumbai and pune. Ambience was nice. Prices are very reasonable. Service is fast. Car parking was not there. There are many branches around Pune, but this is one of the oldest and best. Consistent Quality is what makes customers come again and again over decade!!
They have a lot to offer on the menu... Have jus tried Indian though . That's what happens if one comes with family😝. Have tried a couple of paneer gravy. Their special kadai was not as expected but good at taste.

This Shiv sagar is located at JM road ,as we usually try Aundh wala Shiv sagar. They serve both north indian and punjabi food. All Veg. Please do try their vegetarian spring rolls. Pav bhaji is one of the best dish they got with them. Tried dhosa but need some improvement in the sambar. Servicewas up to mark as they have most of the senior staff with them. I have tried the chats such as bhel pudi and sev dahi puri. I have tried their set dosa. I have tried their sandwiches I have tried their curry and rotis as well.
The food is very tasty and the service is very fast. It is a good place for fast food.

This is a good family restaurant.The place is crowded all the time.This restaurant serves amazing cheese nachos.They also serve good Punjabi food.Paneer butter masala is a must try.
The taste was great but i think the prices are bit high and the ambience could have been better, there is not much room to breathe because place is too small and its always croudy

This one is typical family veg reatraunt. The ambience is just like when I was a kid nd used to go out with the family in a nice looking restraunt. The food was good. I had dal bhukkar and paneer butter masala with butter naan and roti. The service was good but the waiters are not much professional. Overall a nice restraunt to go out with the family.

One of the best places to eat pav bhaji at pune. Though there are many places famous for this dish, this restaurant stands out because of their unique spicy taste. Apart from pav bhaji, they are famous for a wide variety of milk shakes and thick ice cream shakes.
All time family favourite... perfect location, super-quick service and a plethora of items on the menu makes it ideal to go with family..where all get a sufficient choice of foods.

I dnt knw why but papad taste was Gud and over salad was added on it which was not Ohk for me .

We have been in JM road, and thought to try this one, but we went for light dinner there on saturday evening. It was full though not a waiting condition. We took outer seats, facing JM road.
We ordered Veg fried rice with Veg manchurian semi gravy, we got our order fast. The service is quick and waiters were courteous. Also we ordered Nescafe coffee and sweet lassi. Fried rice and manchurian were good in taste. There were 10 manchurian pieces in 1 plate, fried rice quantity was enough for 2 light eaters.
Coffee was just okay, they didnt had filter coffee at that time. Lassi was okay. Above order cost us something around Rs.530.
Will try it again. Recommended.

Had cheese chilli toast sandwich and chole bhature
Cheese chilli toast - they were different than what we usually have. Good taste, quantity was ok ok, costly 150/-
Chole bhature - chole had really good flavor and gravy and bhatura was dripping in oil with satisfying taste, price was ok ok 155/-
Also had filter coffee, which tastes better when served in glass container, was really good
We stop by at this place for breakfast today as most of the people in our group voted for shiv sagar. With this increasing popularity the place stays crowded most of the time. Today we got lucky and quickly ordered kanchipuram idli, pizza, paper dosa and masala tea. They were quick in service with no compromise to presentation and taste. Out of all the dishes that we ordered, we didn’t like the taste of kanchipuram idli. Overall, we are satisfied with food, service, hospitality of staff and quality of food.
Would recommend Shiv Sagar as a nice and family budgeted restaurant.

Shiv Sagar, is one of the well-known restaurants on J M road. Its vegetarian menus are wide in range & you will almost everything here from breakfast to dinner items. It has really good ambience, which will ensure a good time in house. I had tasted its South Indian cuisines & some Vegetable dishes. The food was good in taste, but a bit tad over priced. (May be the location has an impact over it) If you're with family & friends, I would definitely recommend this place to eat. Shiv Sagar's service & ambience are its USP.
We have been going to Shiv sagar since when i was a small child that i can't even remember, the waiters the manager too knows us now! We have seen all the changes, the food is amazing! The pav bhaji is Best, the Chinese food is better than a Chinese restaurant i tried, the mexican food is good, the pizzas are so tasty, the mocktails the ice creams are amazing! When it is a weekend it is very crowded but they manage well nd it is very organised, once u get a table the service is quick, the waiters experienced, i have seen many since years i have been going, they are polite nd friendly. Never have i seen a table that is not clean, cleanliness is maintained, only the washroom can be constructed nd maintained. All in all, the restaurant is amazing
One of the places with the best Pav Bhaji in Pune. We went on a Saturday so naturally it was crowded, but once we got the table. The service was so fast!
Generally it's difficult to get good cream of tomato soup,believe me it's superb over here even though the colour was dull but it tastes yum. Pav bhaji was good. But chole batura was not so good. Overall a reasonable place for vegetarian delicacies.

In a good ambiance these guys serve quality food in reasonable rates, South Indian food(including more than 10 varieties of Dosa), Different North Indian dishes and many more are included in their Menu....must try !!!
Shiv Sagar is one of the best vegetarian organized restaurants in India. Every dish ordered is tasty. The outlet is Pune is not huge, but accommodates plenty at the same time, however, the sitting arrangement is a little congested. I would suggest the staff to be a little more welcoming towards customers.

This is one of the Restaurant which my family trust their food blindly. You order any dishes whether Chinese, Continental, Punjabi, South Indian it would turn out to be a good and tasty dish. This is the best veg restaurant which we have on JM road. Staff are polite and helpful. Even if you are new to this place, staff would suggest good dishes.
To my surprise, Shiv sagar was great in their nachos. We had to order paav bhaji. Also my friend had ordered palak pavbhaji which was great in taste as well. Although would recommend people to order nachos as it was amazing in taste. We had also ordered madala pava.. great in taste 🙂

I have been going to this place since childhood, they serve some really amazing maxican food in the city! Nachos, tacos, enchiladas, beans on the toast! Everything here is amazing

Interesting place with almost everything vegetarian on their menu card... A place with 4 standard gravies in stock and from which almost all possible dishes can be made .. not a place for people who understand food .. but definitely a place for a group having varied taste ... Their Washington pasta is a must for all cheese lovers

Do not order their Chinese food. It’s really bad. Their dosas are good. I recommend the paneer dosa. It’s a little heavy but good. Their lassi is superb as well. One of the best I’ve had.

This is a decent,well lit, fairly ambient place for casual family dining. Located on JM road, this restaurant is considered one amongst the prime places for a budget dinner.
It serves almost all varieties of the Indian menu along with some Mexican dishes. We got a seat without any waiting on a Thursday evening.
We ordered fried masala papad, wheat roti and veg. Chili mili which was a combination of paneer spiced with mix vegetables. The quantity was sufficient for the two of us. Average expense here would be approx 150-250 per person.
Although service here is average, it is a place that could be visited again and again only if you simply want to fill your belly with good food at reasonable rates without any preferences in service and ambience .
It's a pretty busy place and nice for vegetarians.
The Chinese foods are good and the package bhaji are also rocking.
Dosa are somewhat okay not up to the mark. A pocket friendly place and good place to visit with family.
