One the best hotel for sea food in pune. I usually goes there for eating mouth watering sea food.
Some of the tried dishes:
Bombil koliwada : best in test. Not too much oily. Crispy and good in test.
Prawns gown curry : Good in test. You will get 8/10 pieces in curry. I have tried this with amboli, one of the best combination.
Halva fry: Normal spicy but good in test.
I am giving 4 out of 5 for test and food presentation.
For ambience 3.5.

It was an amazing experience. Loved their matka chicken which was cooked perfectly and extremely juicy. Marination was tasty as well. Their bombil fry is also must try. It was crunchy and not that oily. They have variety of chicken as well as fish dishes in main course. Their chocolate brownie was delicious as well. It was very soft and full of dry fruits. They gave plenty of chocolate sauce as well. They give a refreshing drink after Ur dinner. Tastes very much like Limca but it was good for the palate.

Came here after almost a decade i would say. Food was super amazing. We started with chicken manchow soup. The fried noodles with it were the best I had till now as compared to any other restaurant. Had ordered 2 fish starters. Both were very tasty. Mapsa tawa in fish starter was my favourite. The quantity was amazingly good. In main course we went for chicken handi which had a good curry preparation and went well with Amboli. In the end we went for steam rice and a huge bowl of rice came. Quite generous. I wont comment on price as tge quality and quantity was super amazing. Enjoyed it.

I had been searching for a good sea food resto in Pune for a while and I feel Janjira meets the requirements for being into that category. Though it cannot compete with the fish food you get in Goa but Janjira is good for Pune !
I have visited this more than 5 times and Everytime I was served fish that was fresh and cooked perfectly!
I normally go alone to have fish and I found this place completely safe and comfortable even when there were not-so-many customers around.
Service is friendly and polite ! If enquired then they take the extra effort to explain you the cooking style. They also suggest the best combinations possible. Slightly high on the price scale but totally worth it ! Also, I don't think good fresh fish would be cheap in Pune so the price is justified.
Conclusion, I Would definitely recommend visiting this place if you want to try fish in Pune!
On weekends there is waiting period sometimes for dinner.

Quiet expensive food but in pune U ll get no other option for sea food better n tastier than this. Being a sea food lover and after trying many restaurants i can say this.
The staff is really polite and friendly. The place offers one of the amazing crab tandoori and promfret , just make you to go the place once again. The starters are really good in the seafood. And the cocktails were really good, they were not as strong as compared to other places. However the main course is little off bit , but this is must place for crabs and seafood, I found it better than Nisarg.

It was a great pleasure to have food at this restaurant. Everything from service to food was exceptional. I would highly recommend people to visit this place if they are sea food lovers. We tried Squid black Pepper, Prawns Tandoori, Shimple Masala. Everything was just too good.ย
The best part was as soon as we sat at the table, waiter came with a sanitizer which is very unusual and have experienced it for the first time.
Next was choice of various live fishes in front of us to choose from.
Mr Chorge who is the hotel owner was personally interacting with customers and we highly appreciate that.
Kudos to this restaurant for being customer friendly and exceptional in their food and service.

This place is one of the best in pune when it comes to sea-food. They serve amazing fish and chicken starters and some awesome cocktails too. Main course has good options too.
You can choose option where you can see the fish and then tell the chef to make the starter, main course gravy from it, this is a good option for small families.

The place was known since the plane used to flies around after 10 pm. Then it transformermed to resto bar.... Initially as usual the taste was subarb and the quantity was also good.. then it was popular in vicinity. The rates gone up the quantity reduced....... but thanks the taste remains same. Pomprate tandoor.. bombil koliwada, rawa fry... one of the popular dishes.... one more thing which ia gud that the owner also interact with cuatomers.
The place was on my wishlist for a long time for its sea food specialites, visited this place with a friend on a weekend... The ambience is sober and to the mark... The service is okayish(could be better). But one thing worth mentioning is your hands are sanitized by the waiter which is rare... The presentation of food is great and the taste too... One must try the bombil rawa fry, rawas tawa, prawns biryani.... And one of my favourites pinacolada as mocktail....

Janjira is my family's all-time favorite restaurant . Whenever we want to have a classy non veg meal (especially seafood) ,our first choice is always Janjira. After around 15-20 visits in past 3 years , here's my review:
I am still thinking from where I should start. From delicious seafood special soup to my favorite chicken lemon corrinder soup , from all kinds of fish to everybody's favourite chicken , the menu ,the taste everything is divine. So here are some out of the box my personal favourite mentionables :
i . Butter garlic crab
This thing literally comes from heaven. Soft , buttery , creamy thick gravy with boneless crabs and some sprinkling of fried garlic. Yummmmyyy !
ii . Amboli
Type of roti made from rice. (Listed under malwani khasiyat ) .
iii. Sea food special soup
If you are a seafood lover this soup is must must.
Other must try dishes are chicken lollipop, anything from fish section (specially surmai),Murg musallam and solkadhi.
The only con : handling crowd. I have experienced not so good service and food quality when the place is crowdy.

Janjira is one of best restaurants. After reading good reviews on zomato, I wanted to visit this place for long time. Finally yesterday I spent my evening in Janjira, enjoying their food and service. Great seafood options for seafood lovers, but it also provides variety of dishes for non-seafood lovers. On whole it had a very pleasant time in Janjira. Apart from food really like staff who were serving and owner who welcome their guests and asks for feedbacks. It was nice.. We started mocktails green cooler and Janjira punch, both mock tails were nice and refreshing. We ordered masala papad, Bhatti ka murg and Bangda shallow fry. I love the fish and bhatti ka murg, both were mouth watering and awesome. For main course we order Mutton rara masala with naan, RaRa masala was as expected awesome. Special praise for their service, it was exceptional. Here is my rating for Janjira:

Janjira one of the oldest and finest seafood restaurant in Pune.
Few days back while passing by Navi peth, we made impromptu plan to have dinner here.
It's basically a resto bar.
Family seating is at upstairs.
Interiors are pretty impressive and clean atmosphere.
Now coming to food, we ordered Surmai Maratha Curry, Rice Bhakri and Prawns Biryani.
Let's go one by one
1. Surmai Maratha :
We had other options like malwani or Goan curry, but as per captain, Maratha is spicey amongst all, hence we choose it.
Curry is quite different than typical konkani coconuty flavour. It was more like Mutton Curry / handi.
It had 7 to 8 fine cut surmai pieces.
Fish was very much fresh. Quantity is enough for 3 pax.
2. Rice Bhakari :
Nothing extraordinary. Bit hard to chew, whereas we demanded soft.
3. Prawns Biryani :
It was combination of Marinated Prawns,malwani masala and long grain rice.
Its highly recommend dish.
It had many mid size prawns in it which were absolutely fresh and fleshy.
You can guess the size of prawn from pictures.
Overall it was satisfactory dinner.
They served chocolate paan complimentary.
Would love to visit Janjira again for crab masala, their speciality.
Service is little bit slow, but it's worth to wait.

This is the best place to go to when you are craving fresh and some amazing sea food !! Had crab masala , squid fry , prawns curry for dinner and it was mind-blowing !!! Try the amboli instead of normal roti or naan ! It goes very well with the sea food ! Will surely visit many more times !!

Ordered entire baby surmai in tawa fry preparation. It was so good... Burnt onion, perfectly fried surmai pieces , crispy curry leaves and blend of special spices. It was heavenly. At the time of placing order entire fish looked small but when preparation came out portion was huge. I was wondering whether me and my wife could finish it. It was so tasty and blended so well with red wine it left us hungry for more.
Then we ordered their speciality Prons biryani and I must say it is their speciality as Taste was unique.
It had hint of coconut and it was blended very well with rice and prones, like made for each other.
Somehow, I don't know why but may be smell and tint of coconut in this biryani reminded me of the coconuty chocolate (don't remember the name but dishum dishum? Or coconuty?) . Very Strange ...
Service is little slow but acceptable as it rewards you with great taste. Patience pays off in this case.

Had been here for dinner. Amazing place for sea food lover. It was super crowded as there us a sea food festival going currently. We ordered surmai tikka, prawns tandoor and had bhatti ka murg. Three starter dishes. Surmai tikka was spicy and cooked to perfection. Prawns were not out if the box they were ok. Bhatti ka murg was again an amazing dish. First time had chicken and cheese combination together.
Do visit if u love sea food! A lot of marathi celebs have marked their presence in this place.

Discovered this place on one of our rendezvous around the city. Pretty decent ambience . Prices r on the higher side . They don't have a fish or prawn thali which is a regular feature of seafood restaurants.

The taste is definitely good, distinct tasting curries and yummy starters. We tried malvani and goan curries. Both were flavourful, pairs good with rice bhakri and ghavane.
The quantity of food served is less for the price paid, in my view- starters and the fish cuts in curries.

Like the fort Janjira in the middle of the ocean, this restaurant is exactly like that..nestled in the middle of crowded Navi peth is a place which every punekar and anyone who loves fish ๐ to come and eat and visit.
