Best misal according to me. Best tarri/rassa, which is made by using lots of coconut gravy, acute spices and served with or without extra tarri.
The misal is assembled in a plate and the rassa, is separately given in a bowl. Served along with sliced bread, onions and lime wedge, the misal here tastes simply great.
My favourite place with lot of my childhood memories attached to it.
The misal served here is quite different from the usual ones. The potato rassa is served on top of pohe, potato sabji, shev and onions with bread slices on the side. This is slightly on the sweeter side. To balance it you can order for the spicy tarri/sample which perfectly balanced the flavours. Undoubtedly this is one of the best misal that I have ever had.
I had a visit to this place after reading reviews and seeing it's name in top 10 misal joints. Taste and quantity is awesome. Misal without sprouts/matki is little difficult to agree on. Thus 4 star for this review else taste and quality is great. Extra tarri/sample rate seems little high and also initial serving of tarri/sample is definately not enough for misal. Overall well maintained and one of the place which is worth visit.
Their is not that spicy compared to others but they had their own unique taste and awesomeness......and i really loved it, taste is juss fabulous and their buttermilk was also delicious.....would really love to go here again!!

Visited this place last month in the afternoon. The taste of the misal was very good. Luckily there was no waiting when we had gone there. This place was very clean in terms of kitchen and dry area, well maintained. Staff was polite and was good at his job. Would definitely recommend this place.

This dish & place needs no introduction but why this place is different (according to me) is that they don't serve misal with any sprouts in misal curry (I hate spourts, like to core in any thing)..
So this place means, Shree Krishna Misal, Tulsibaug serves most delicious & my personal fav misal in town.. Their #Taak is also worth a try.. Taste hasn't changed a bit since I started eating it back in 2002 ☺️

One of the nicest misal in Pune. It's inconspicuous from the main road, but you can easily get to the location by observing the crowd of people waiting to get inside the eatery. The wait is well worth the taste of the misal.
For a change this one has patal pohe chivda in it. This was different from all the misal we had eaten so far. It was not too spicy, just right. We wanted the Kanda bhajee as well but they were not ready so we missed out on that one. Overall it was a value for money meal costing us only 159/- for two misal and 3 slices of bread. Definitely recommended, to try once!

A whole different token systen and you will always have to wait to get a table here.

One of the oldest misal joints in Pune, Shrikrishna Bhuvan in Tulshibaug area takes you in for a pleasant surprise. Unlike the prototypical misal, their misal does not include lentils. The plate consists of poha, aloo, chivda and sev. A separate bowl of gravy (called "tarri" in Marathi) is given along with it. And you get bread slices instead of "paav". The misal is not very spicy and tastes great. All you have to pay for this gastronomical experience is INR 70. The staff is polite and friendly. Overall, an excellent experience. Will visit this joint again, for sure! :)

A very famous place in town for misal. They really serve a great misal. Quality of food is well maintained, they have live kitchen. Misal is not very spicy nor sweet. They serve bread slice instead of Paav. Along with misal they also serve shira, bhaji, taak etc. Prices are pocket friendly. If you are planning to visit on weekends, you have to wait in a queue. Staff is polite and helpful.

One of the best places in pune which serve authentic misal pav. Situated right in the middle of all the hustle bustle of Tulsi bagh lane, this place is more than 60-70 years old.
You have an option to eat very spicy or moderately spicy misal pav depending on your taste and tolerance. Side dishes include dahi and chaach to go along with spicy misal. I highly recommend mixing dahi with misal as it really brings out the flavour. A glass of salted chaach afterwords completes the meal.

One of the finest and famous misals from pune i.e " Shri Krishna Bhuvan " misal house in budhwar peth area . The place has simple ambience & regular seating arangements but no matter this place is only and only special for its taste , quality , the favour of missal & the style it is made 😍.
This misal is a bit differently made as it is served with a plate of fillings of kanda pohe , potato sabji and dry poha chivda and a small bowl of gravy of mat beans served with two slices of bread .

One of the places with a very different and unique style of misal which can not be matched with any other. The satvik dahi style misal. And the tak over here is so simple but original can gulp down 5. Not very spicy. Light on the stomach but filling. Price of the same is average not over rated nor below. Love this place for hygiene but with the digital India they do not accept cards is big no no....
Unique taste of this misal brings me here. Visiting this place since my childhood but got an opportunity to write about it today. They do not add matki in their misal yet ausumn in taste so it is unique from others. They have potato , poha and shev(not farsan). And yes what makes it ausumn is their tangy and tasty rassa/ tarri. Here you won't get much spicy if you love spicy. As per me their spicy one is medium but very tasty and tempting. Only that it is expensive as compared to other good misal joints. And yes they do charge for another round of rassa/ tarri which is disappointing as they already are expensive. Only this is the not good for this misal joint. Rest all is good. Average ambience, nice service, and yes tasty. 3.5 from me. Giving 4 in rating as no option for 3.5. Big yes from me. :) Zomato: Menu rate list is old one. New one has updated price a bit more for all items. Misal for 70/- and so on....
I have been here since 5-6 years.... great place to have a tasty misal. It is not spicy hot 🌶 however it has a typical taste which i love. The location is spit on, whenever we are city area and hungry, we do prefer to go to this place. Taste is awesome!!

My favorite misal. The taste is really awesome. I always go there most of the times. The taste is never changed. The only problem is due to small place sometime will have to wait. But, the wait is worth.

We get 2 slices of bread with it. The misal was tasty but not spicy at all.
Also ordered extra "sample" as the one we get with the misal is not enough.

I love 3 Misal in Pune. One is Shree, second is Vaidya and third is Shri Krishna Bhuvan.
Living in Bangaluru can take a toll on you if you are die hard fan of Misal. So, on one of my trips to Pune, I took out time just to satiate my Misal craving taste buds.
Place looks just the same, only thing's it has moved upstairs. The smell itself make your stomach roar with hunger. Misal is also the same, just like the one I had 6 years ago. Base of Poha mixture, onions, sev and a bowl of steaming 'Turry'. 'Turry' is red hot spicy curry (it will be a sin to call it curry, because it's not, but I can't think of any other word). You pour this curry over Misal mixture. Drown it in 'Turry' or have it just for taste..your call. We drown it, squeeze a quarter of lemon, throw in some extra onion, mix this mixture well and have it with a slice of bread. H.E.A.V.E.N!! Now they charge extra for extra onion, but I tend to forgive Pune for that. The purpose of my visit was served.
And I am back to Bangaluru now. :(

Thinking of having puneri misal.This is the best place to have a typical puneri misal.Perfect in all ways . There's a quite rush here because of its taste and also because it is Tulsibaug . Best misal always with Buttermilk(taak)

Very old and authentic place for पुणेरी misal.
As it is पुणेरी you will find it lite on spice and with little sweet. Though it is sweet and less spicy it tastes tremendously well.
A very different type of farsan mixture with poha and potato sabji.
What makes it different is its रस्सा or you call it a sample. It is tangy and with tender coconut flavour, this makes it different than all the original पुणेरी misals. Cost is bit on higher side and they charge you for everything extra except water :-)
Waiting was 20 minutes in my case.

Today tried Shrikrishna misal at tulsibag... I know, I m too late to taste it🙈🙈 ..but I m not hardcore misal fan..
I took spicier version of rassa. I liked the taste...as such I like misal with potato veg & pohe. But I can definitely say that it's the cleanest place ever for misal I ate till now & they offered me good service too as I was alone.
I like both spicy & little sweet type misal as both have their own nice taste.

Today I tried Pune's beloved Sheri Krishna Bhuvan Misal.
I must say this is not just common Misal that you get at roadside joint. It was perfectly balanced in taste (masala, Misal, sample, spices)
Most importantly staff here is very friendly.
I love the misal here.. According to me this the best pl misal in Pune.. Their rassa is amazing.. The misal has right amount of sev.. Matki.. Poha.. Potato bhaji... Only downside is the parking issue and the waiting period

Probably the most iconic among all misal places in Pune.
Like most things in Pune this place is historic and has a legacy behind it which few eateries can boast of.
Their definition of misal is different to say the least. First of all there's smashed potato instead of matki and the rassa is of typical Brahmin kitchen style with lots of ground peanuts and sweet in taste with chunks of tomatoes in it. If you compare this with conventional misal recipe , there will be no similarities except the name. As if it was not enough, they serve it with slice bread instead of paav( bun) which itself is a major diversion.
The taste is pretty different unsurprisingly. Mostly on the sweeter side with the tomatoes and sugar giving a sweet-sour tang.
Along with misal they also serve side dishes like kanda bhaji (pakoda) , sheera, pohe and buttermilk. I tried buttermilk but was disappointed. It lacked any taste .
The place is clean and hygienic as it should be and service fairly quick. Prices are high probably due to the fame . And they charge exorbitant prices for extras like ₹20 for extra half bowl of shev which is simply ridiculous.
Try this for a sweet variety of misal and take a Punekar with you who will convince you how this is the best misal in the whole world.
Good place for Typical Puneri misal, if u Abhorred after shopping at tulshi bagh(boyz 'll understand this) just visit this place to refresh again... But if u r spicy misal lover this place may make u some how upset!
Otherwise place is clean and comfortable for quick bites! Try Kanda bhaji also...!!

One of the Legendary Place in pune serving Misal. I have been visiting this place since long time. Recently visited the same after a long gap of 2 years. Taste and quality is consistent. I tried the spicy version as usual and it was excellent. I am used to eat more spicy than this version, but it was nice. Highly recommended place for Misal loversOverall : Service was prompt, restaurant was hygienic. The only thing which i don't like is that they charge extra for the additional sample or onion whereas major of the restaurants provide it at no extra cost.
Place is spacious.

Taak is very thick and good.
Only Problme is with Parking.

Too good of you don't want spicy Missal and still want to enjoy the Missal aroma. The joint attracts huge crowd due to it's authentic taste. But the Missal here is not kolhapuri...it's typical sweetish puneri. Don't miss "Sample Slice". Service is quick and prompt, but no-nonsense. Worth visiting once!

Located in the busy area of Tulshibaug this place is hardly empty. We got a seat after waiting for around 10-15 min in the morning. Had their misal and taak.
मिसळ: I personally liked it very much. A तर्री which was neither too spicy nor oily and was accompanied by a mixture of Shev-Chiwda, Pohe, Onion, Boiled Potatoes. The misal was served with 2 bread slices.
ताक: Wonderful is the word. Just like one we make at home.
The place is clean, seating is limited and the rates are decent. Recommended!

This has been my favourite misal in pune! It has all the qualities to be puneri favourite!
The misal is mixture of pohe, potato, farsan or chiwda topped with chopped onions and a dice of lemon served with boiling rassa which is a liquid gravy.
Misal at Shri Krishna Bhuvan has the best rassa and a very much balanced taste.
This place is very much crowded on weekends and also is situated in the one and only tulsi baag so I prefer getting parcel and eating it at home!

The menu is simple and authentic. As I don't like spicy misal (Kolhapuri) this misal is just perfect. It is 😍slightly sweet. The base is Potato bhaji and yellow pohe. Added with farsaan,shev and onion. The tarri is provided separately according to the spiciness. Instead of pav they serve slices which taste good too.

Newly done place. Added a floor to be precise. At least now it's more airy. Taste hasn't changed for years/decades now. Misal, it's tarri, all good, well prepared. One of the biggest drawback of this place is the limited (only one katori) tarri served with misal. Any thing more than that one bowl, you need to pay. That should change. I know it's same for a couple of decades now. But still, wish the management changes it. There gol bhaji is also good tastewise.

This is located at the south side of Tulsibaug at the road corner. So delicious taste, clean environment. Table and self service here. First you have to pay for the first time then if you need more then you can pick it from the window and all bills can be paid finally. Misal, Bhajee, Chivda facility provided on the first floor. Also, a parcel facility is available but you should keep your tiffin for tarri liquid.

This is a pre-paid self service place, so it helps to order, pay and take all you want so that your meal is uninterrupted. The Gol bhaji (pakoras) were nice. The buttermilk could have been less watery.

Well, in Pune misal is served slice bread and not the pav.

Post lockdown the place underwent renovation and has come up nice. All the cutlery and seating is changed to stainless steel..

PS: it's crowded for take aways in the morning so plan accordingly.. Parking is very difficult to find nearby so take public transport or be prepared to apek away and walk.
