Don't remember my last visit here.....but had a good experience dinning here. Hardly get such kind of pure malvani style food to eat. This is by far one of the best places Sinhgad road has to offer and one of the best places for fish and nonveg in Pune. Vegetarian options are also served with some different flavors. Malvani dose - Time says it’s Sunday-the day of satisfying taste buds after a week’s wait. “Bahut insafi”. However, it’s good to be crook, so we decided to hook up the fishes in fact dead ones with malwani preparation. After a long spat, Satkar was finalised- I don’t really remember was it spat or pre decided. As always we started with prawns fry and it was superbly crispy and soft. Tisarya fry was somewhat disappointing, yet another disappointment was that surmai was not available, however, pomfret fish fry and rawas fry were game changers-highly recommended. Its malvani preparation is one the finest. Khekda was my first time taste experience and understood it’s out of my tastiest list. I’m definitely going to visit this place again to try surmai fry.

Located on Sinhagad road between Navsha Maruti and Rajaram bridge.you can easily get parking for 2 wheeler but finding place for 4 wheeler is lil difficult.
Ambience is pretty simple. Rather this place is not meant for enjoying ambience. Simple but comfortable seating which is usually there in mess / boarding house is there.
Food quality is awesome. You get typical malvani fish preparation. Solkadhi, fish fry, fish curry, tandulachi bhakri are the signature dishes.
Only problem with fish fry is it's deeply fried in oil and not tawa fried. Which makes it more oily and heavy. I have visited this place and almost tried everything.
Surmai macchi thali is my favourite. Only one thing I didn't like recently is they provide very limited curry in thali. Earlier they used to provide curry as much you want but recently when I went there waiter started to tell that you'll be charged if you order some more curry. Additional curry is served in very small bowl probably you can barely eat half bhakri with that. Management plz do something about it at least increase the size of bowl.

Green chutney: We could eat our whole food with this chutney 😂 no seriously I mentioned this, because if by any chance they forget to keep it, you should really ask for it. It was 💥❤️

Maharashtrian food and thali lovers this is the place to go. You won't regret it. Mutton Chicken fish all of them are amazing well priced and with good quantity but the thing that caught my eye was their chutney which is just delightful. Also most places like this don't have their vegetarian food up-to the mark but satkar is not one of them their paneer mushroom dish was too good and something one won't regret ordering. Vade mutton🙌🙌

Where do I even begin! We were there for Sunday Lunch, The pomfret fry and the prawn tawa fry are absolutely worth every paisa.
The mutton and the chicken thalis were absolutely delicious as well.

This place is recommended for the Foodies who love seafood. Quick bite, food comes very fast. Service is nice but lacks hygiene sometimes. Look & Feel is not that great. It gives u feel of Kokkan Malvani as the seafood aroma is in the restaurant.

After hearing so much about this place we visoted last sunday but our bad Surmai thali was not available so ordered Rawas Thali Chicken Sukka Thali Prawns Biryani and Veg Thali also Prawns Fry

One of the best places in Pune for Fish. I have been to this restaurant atleast 10-15 times and I love their pomfret and surmai thalis. Also if you like clams ( tisrya) try it out. The gravy is a little on the spicier side however if priority is to have tasty and fresh fish this is the place to be.
One of the very few places on Sinhagad Road where you get good seafood at a reasonable rate. The place is very basic but if good food is on your mind then it is a must go. Their speciality is seafood. Good service and a good variety

1. Surmai fry - Big size Surmai fry with green chutney sounds really good combination. Simply Mouthwatering and fingure licking
2. Surmai thali - They serve simple thali which contains 1 piece of medium Surmai fry, 1 small portion of Surmai in curry , 3 chapati/2 bhakri and rice and Solkadhi
3. Chicken thali - We ordered chicken masala mini thali which contains 1 bowl of Malwani style chicken thick gravy with 5-6 small portions , 3 chapatis/2 bhakri , rice and Solkadhi.

After eating fish at alot of places in and around Pune, this is a place I have finally settled to. When you don't have the time for preparing at home or those who can't make it at home, this place has the best fish thali in Pune. Good quantity and great value for money. Service is good and so is the food. Have tried all the varieties from pomfret, surmai, halwa, prawns. Tandalachi bhakti and vade are the ones to go for rather than chapathi.

A nice place for a casual non veg dine. Just nice. Nothing great and not even bad. They are special for their thalis and malvani style preparation. But, still there is somewhat less feel about it. The dishes as from my taste are between Maharashtrian and malvani taste. The food is great, hands down! Chapatis are so delicious and soft and you just enjoy it. They serve solkadi with their thalis with konkani style coconut chutney.
We had chicken thali and biryani. We went wrong here.
Should've gone with sea food but chicken wasn't cooked properly and not marinated enough. It was little dry and rice with the biryani was below average. Didn't even feel that I'm having biryani. Thali was superb. Chicken masala was done as perfect as it could be in a malvani style. Top notch. If you are looking for a casual dinner with your friends and have some quality time then this isn't the place.
A formal layout of tables and sitting is just average. It is well lit up place with soothing ambience. service is good and staff is co operative.

We were seven people in total looking for a place on a crowded Sunday evening. We got our table in reasonable time. Even though it was rush weekend hours everything was planned nicely and execution was perfect. After giving the order we hardly waited for 10 min to taste the authentic Malvani fish. We ordered king fish, prawns, kheema, mandeli, and fish thalis. Everything was exceptional. But for me winner for the evening was " FISH KOSHIMBIR", a perfect blend of fresh fish and Malvani kalvan with a spicy tangy stuffing.
I strongly recommend this place to all zomato users who are living on Sinhagaud road to try out this place at least once and believe me you will come here regularly just like me.

I frequently visit this place as my second home. So i have a strong affection. The decor and ambience is sub standard but thats how it is for typical Malwani places.
The food _ Bombil so tender, it melts in your mouth so do order this! Also a great place to have a crab. I would not recommend prawns fry coz they are soggy sometimes and not crisper. 10/10 for Solkadhi, Bangda Thali and Ravas.

Soft bhakri made-up of rice flour, fresh surmai fry with tastey coating. Fish curry medium spicy had small piece of fish in it.
Sol kadhi was bit whitish in color, ideally it should be reddish as like kokam. Initially I confused it as pandhra rassa unless i tasted it.
You can have chapati or wade instead of bhakri.

The best place in town if you want to eat fish thali! Visited here on sunday night & as usual had to wait for 40 min to get a table. I would suggest you drop in early so you grab a table ASAP. The service is really quick and attentive. Ordered bombil fry, halwa fry, chicken sukka thali, chicken masala thali, pompfret fry thali, surmai thali. All of them were really good. Loved the thick fish malvani gravy. The chicken curry was awesome. And do not froget to taste the solkadi-- perfectly made!! Will surely keep on visiting here as the food served is really good and light on pocket too.

I've been regular at their home branch in Mumbai. The spicy curry taste is exactly the same. The Pomfret fry taste was slightly different, but I'm not complaining. Loved the food.
The staff was courteous and smiling. They are also fast and attentive. The service was fast. As we went for lunch, which is the usual case for fish thali for me, there was not much rush.
The ambience is of an average restaurant. Do not go there for views or coziness. The place is slightly better than a dining hall. People prefer it for their perfect preparations of fish.

It's very well known restaurant in town for the sea food speciality. It's a branch of Mumbai based restaurant and serving in Pune since quite a long time.
The ambiance is good, service is very quick and the quantity of all items is proportionate to it's price.
There are options available for thalis as well as ala-a-carte menu items. The specialities include seafood and chicken which is cooked in special malvani masala.
One can get very authentic manvani food experience here.
Along with curries and fish fries, there are options of bhakari chapati and even bhajani wade.

Excellent place to have seafood. The quantity is perfect and the quality is too notch. The Thalis are the most popular dishes, and deservingly so. I had the prawn masala and rava prawn fry. This is a quaint little place. We had malwani chicken, vade, prawns masala and surmai. The dishes were lip smacking and very tasty. Must visit for seafood lovers! Not to forget the courteous staff…
We travel all the way from Kharadi as we do not get good quality food on Nagar road. I like surmai fry thali it's fresh and value for money. Please keep the same quality and quality.
Taste of prawns masala and rawas thali very good. Crab masala was ok but could have been better. Solkadhi which was served was from packet and it was not tasty.
A best place for se food lovers... I would say see food lovers paradise in pune and that too at affordable cost, good ambience...
Staff is good... Taste wise also good...
Even if you are vegetarian you will love the typical malvani taste thali.
Kombdi Wade is also a must try along with tandulachi (rice flour) bhakri (flat bread)
Cleanliness is good... Also parking space available in road side... Check for P1/P2

Usually busy on weekends... So go early by 8/8.30 to avoid rush and waiting...
One of the place if you are planning to have sea food. The place is best known for their fish Thalis though is little higher but it’s worth. The fry’s are crispy. My go to place I am planning for sea food.
