Visited this place recently, best place for hangout with friends, offering delicious food with a beautiful ambience, a must visit restaurant.
Best place to get sea food in affordable price. The food is tasty and the service is also good. Mostly known for prawns, fish fry and ice cream. The mocktails are also good . The ambience is decent n cozy
If you’re looking for good seafood then this is the place to be. Ambiance was really good and added to an overall good experience. .Seafood lover will definitely like the food .
Awesome place to visit, mainly for the love of sea foods, definitely it is impressive, the service, the food items and contains all the sea foods which should be deserve.... Loved it! The taste feels good and the entire system from the in tip out of the restaurant is appreciated!
Very good place I ever saw.
Food quality is very good.
Service is very well. Best place to visit with family and friends. No so expensivem. Very nice place.
Loved the place. The quality of food is good with delicious tastes. Like the cold coffee with ice cream. Loved the manchaw soup. It has a great ambience. It also provides good service.
Best for sea food lovers. We ordered pomfret fry and it was very tasty. Also the place is peaceful and service is really good
Ambience- Nice, cozy ambience with comfortable arrangement.
Food- I’ve been here 2 times and have found a vast difference in the taste of seafood as compared to meat!
Visit 2
The name of this restaurant totally does justice to it’s seafood!
1)Prawns Tawa Fry- This is an extremely delicious starter with big prawn size. The quantity is decent. Tbh, I’ve never had prawns that were this soft and clean and totally smell free. I loved each and every bite of this one. Mind you, this is a bit spicy than usual so definitely go by the staff’s recommendation when they suggest the spice level.
2)Pomfret Thali with Prawns curry- The fish was very soft and good in size. It had a different taste which was pretty good as well. The prawns curry was delicious, again with very soft prawns.
This place made me fall in love with prawns.
3)Special Crab Thali- What do I say about this one❤️
This has to be one of the best things I’ve tried in my life!
The crab curry was ah-mazing
Had the amazing crab thali. Really nice flavours. Keep up the quality.
Perfection is the word for you guys. What an awesome taste. I ordered fish special thali and they have customization option for thali.
You can choose fish from different variety, then curry (fish or chicken), then prawn sukkha or chicken sukkha and then neer dosa or chapati. Thali is full of solkadhi, salad and other accompaniments. Cost was very reasonable for the number of items they served. I loved it you are better than over priced and over hyped brands.

Fresh & tasty seafood. Totally worth the price
Have been visiting since 2018 for sea food. The food is always been good, the service is also good. The dosa combination with Goan curry 🍛 is my favourite. This time for a change I ordered veg- tawa vegetables curry it was really yum. I didn’t expect a sea food speciality restaurant would have the veg curry made so well. To my surprise the the tawa vegetable was much better than most of the pure veg restaurants. Considering The quality, quantity, service and taste I rate it at 4/5.
Why not 5! At times the fish curry is bit sour.
And ya..place for car Parking near the restaurant is a trouble during weekends!
Well, the food is amazing. The neer dosa with tawa prawns, omg lip smacking. Would appreciate if the portion size could have been a bit more in terms of Main course. The options with thalis are amazing and affordable as well!
Tried special pomfret thali , rawa fried prawns and prawns Goan curry . Everything tasted amazing .
We had our lunch at Fresh Off the Boat and I was in love with their lip smacking dishes right from the Chicken cafreal, to the crab tawa, bombil kalvan and cauliflower-prawns tonak that we ordered.Neer dosa was very nicely made and sol kadi was amazing. The look of the restaurant is very interesting and they surely did full Justice to the name Fresh off the boat by serving fresh and yummy sea food! Full points for the awesome hospitality and service ,will surely recommend this place😊
The sea food is delicious and fresh. Tried goan prawns curry with rice, rawa bombay duck, fried basa. Solkadi was also very fresh. Freshest sea food in Pune. #seafood Must try - prawns curry
Tasty seafood. As the name suggests the fish were really fresh and not smelly.
We visited this restaurant on 25th December 2019 for lunch and we found ourselves extremely satisfied with everything that was served. We ordered prawns bombil basa all the dishes where amazing. The thails ordered rawas crab were too good and tasty We will definitely visit again
Yesterday i visited this epic place with family..
At first glance i liked the ambience,it was less crowded being weekday and had good seating arrangements.
About food..i ordered bombil fry and prawns..both were super delicious.would recommend to have bombil fry for sure.
We then had surmai and rawas thali with neer dosa😍
The combination was incredible.
To end with we ordered extra solkadi which made our stomach full but mind wanted more😀
I would definitely recommend to all sea food lovers.
Note:if u are zomato gold customer inform them before u order to get gold privilege.
Food: 5/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 5/5
We were hoping for some good seafood as this place was listed in the super seafood section of zomato.
The first thing you notice about FOTB is that the staff working there are courteous and have in-depth knowledge of their menu. The ambience is decent and nothing to write home about.
Coming to the food we ordered two starters the bombil fry and the achari fish Tikka. Both of the starters were extremely well made and the fish used was very fresh. I would especially recommend the bombil fry.
For our maincourse we had fish/crab thalis. The thalis were more than sufficient for one person and the fish used there was again extremely fresh. The only issue that was worth complaining was the solkadi given with us had a weird stale smell coming out of it because of which we decided to not finish it.
I would rate this as the second best seafood restaurant in Pune after Gajalee, although Gajalee is way more expensive. I would surely be back to try out more dishes from their menu.
Fresh off the boat certainly serves really fresh seafood. They have many types of seafood thali. We went for prawns thali. Prawns were super fresh just felt like right out of water. Neer dosa was so soft and fresh. Overall thali was amazing.

Good place to have sea food with friends and family.
Appealing ambience.
Enjoyed the meal.
Good courteous and generous staff.
Tasty food. Prawns and bombil were out of the world. Just loves the tenderness of the food. Plus they serve neer dosa as well. Paplet surmai all the fish was good and fresh. Took our parents here for dinner, they usually like eating out but they enjoyed the food here.
Fresh Off The Boat's Tandoori Chicken is a must try. Though a bit spicy it was soft, well marinated and tasty.
It was the best seafood that I have tired in Pune. Lobsters oh my god are so delicious and satisfying. The service is very gentle and all smiles. This restaurant has served me way over my expectations.
This place is outstanding for sea food. I went here with my wife we had a Special Pomfret thali and a regular Pomfret thali. The quantity was perfect the quality was too good. Everything tasted just perfect. Maintain the quality guys. We will keep coming.
The food was tasty and was served on time as well but the quantity was something I didn't like, for the price they should definitely offer something extra, although I had Zomato Gold so that came in clutch.
The place and the food is awesome. Best Goan food in Pune at the affordable price.
Fresh Off The Boat- This place is the gold standard. The Gold Standard in serving the best non-vegetarian and seafood. Let it be the north indian mughlai preparations or the authentic spicy maharashtrian dishes, Fresh Off The Boat is the place to visit. It is medium sized outlet located on karve road. Two wheeler parking available on roadside. We, a group of six, visited this place on a weekday late in the night for dinner. The place was almost full even on a weekday which in itself is an indication of its popularity. The ambience is average. This place specializes im serving seafood along with some really good non-vegetarian north indian dishes. For starters we ordered masala papad, tandoori prawns, chiken banjara kebab and paneer pahadi kebab. The masala papad were average. Too much onion. The tandoori prawns were great. Prawns were cooked to perfection. The hot spices with a hint of sweetness really lifted the dish. Loved it. The chiken banjara kebab were also a hit. Mildly spiced, they were really great. Loved the cook on the chiken. Paneer pahadi kebab were also good. For mains we ordered murg mussallam, murg maratha, paneer biryani along with butter nans and jeera rice. The murg mussallam was the star of the lot. Perfectly cooked chiken in a thick spicy gravy with chiken kheema. Perfect. Murg maratha was great as well. Loved the gravy. The paneer biryani was average and failed to impress us. Butter nans and jeera rice were satisfctory. The staff is polite and humble. The service is fast. The quality and quantity are good. Reasonable prices. Zomato gold makes it much more pocket friendly. One downside of this place is that it closes at 11. So they start taking last orders before that. I wish they were open atleast till midnight. Overall, a really great place to have some really good non-vegetarian food.
This restaurant has been on my wishlist for a while and finally I visited it for a dinner.
Its located on main Karve road .The restaurant obviously is famous for its seafood and thats why we ordered 2 different dishes of Prawns- Tandoor Prawns and Rava Fry Prawns and then had Chicken dish in mains along with Tawa roti.
All I can say is all the dishes were well prepared and very tasty. Prawns were fresh and delicious.
The service staff, especially Ajit deserves a special mention since the service was very efficient and polite.
We had a hearty meal at this restaurant and surely will be back again.
Located near Karve road, a Seafood speciality restaurant serving a range of delicacies from the coastal cuisine, lip smacking vegetarian and chicken dishes. Your lunch and dinner dose of exotic seafood dishes as well as veg & non veg delicacies will be sorted over here. The decor and seating arrangements are good enough. The addition of exposed filament bulbs supported by thick ropes gives a very modern conventional look. Fresh of the Boat serves food using the freshest catch of the day.
Coming to the menu, here is a glimpse of what I had ordered. Moving to the starters,
1.Murg Achari Tikka-Perfectly marinated boneless chicken pieces mixed in a pickling spice blend. It was cooked in tandoor which gave a tangy achari taste.
2.Corn Basket-A perfect vegan delicacy. Hollowed out potatoes stuff with corn , cheese, paneer and spices to add on. Honestly the taste was too good. #recommended
3.Murg Lasuni Tikka- Marinated boneless chicken in garlic flavor and seasoned with spices. My personal favorite for that time.
4 . Prawns Platter-One can't miss this if you love sea food. A mixture of creamy garlic prawns, prawns rawa fry, prawns koliwada and tandoori. The presentation was good and loved the taste!!!! Best of the best
5.Veg Tandoori Sizzler-A smoking sizzler consisting of paneer, babycorn, mushroom, different veggies served on a bed of fried rice and noodles topped with sauce along with French fries. Taste was good, but it could have been a little more spicy.
6.Chicken and Veg Manchow soup. Taste was decent enough.
7.Pomfret Fry-The masala pomfret was our top picks for the day.
Coming to the main section of the menu, here is a glimpse of what I had tasted
1.Dal Fry with Tadka-The ultimate favorite dal of Indians no matter wherever you go. Here it tasted well with jeera rice.
2.Chicken Xacuti-A goan special dish mixed with spices, grated coconut and topped with red and green chilli tadka. Really tasted quite well with cheese garlic naan.
The sol-kadhi was the perfect balance of tang from the kokam and the freshness from the coconut milk. The meal ended on a sweet note with the yummy and chocolatey sizzling brownie.
Beyond the menu, they also have a board which lists the day’s specials like crab and lobster fry, roast and curries. The service was good and the staff were very courteous. The price is bit on the higher side for selected food dishes but yes overall taste and food quality was good. One should definitely visit this place!

Full paisa vasool kinda restaurant. Loved their quality of fish and taste. Superb ambience. Definitely gonna visit it frequently. A must visit place
Sunday afternoon plan to eat fish and we were looking at new options than the ones already tried. So here we are:
Food: Ordered special thali for Pomfret and Prawns. Quantity and Quality was top class.
Fish was fresh. Pomfret fry was a little oily for me, but Prawns curry, Prawns chutney were all superb and all with sufficient quantity.
Ambience: Simple and efficient.
Vallet Parking is available.
Washrooms are available.
Will I go again: Most definitely. Next time will try something other than thali,.
New place in erandwane area pretty chill place good food quantity is good overall go-to place for dinner
The service and the staff are good
And the the taste is awesome the corn basket are too yummy , the taste is awesome that we want to come again and again #enjoyed #yumy
Food menu is diverse. Very delicious and apt quantity.
The service is humble, well coordinated and well behaved.
Soothing ambience as well. An apt for a team outing!
Quality of kebab and tandoor is too good...food is always fresh ...this hotel never disappoints you when it comes to quality ..a must try restaurant.
This restaurant was on the list for really long time. Finally tried it one day before the month of Shravan begun.
Ambience: quite a lovely ambience, which is actually designed like a boat. Good and comfortable seating too.
Food: being a Goan, I am always searching for Goan style of preparation when I visit a sea food place. This place serves a mixed of Mangalorean and chetinad style of sea food preparation.
Starters:
1.Chicken ghee roast tandoori: tandoori made using chicken ghee roast masala. The masala was absolutely spot on and tandoor flavour did wonders to this dish. Loved it
2. Prawns dangar: these are prawn cutlets made with small prawns. Tasted quite yum.
Main course:
1. Surmai thali: this had a raw fried surmai piece, rice, chapati/neer dosa, prawns Sukha, prawn curry, prawn pickle and sol kadi with a cabbage salad. Heard a lot about the prawn pickle but I dint like it that much and did not find prawn pieces in it. Surmai was fresh. Prawns Sukha was tasty and and had a masala with fresh grated coconut which was tasty. Did not enjoy the prawns curry that much may be coz I am fan of the Goan style of preparation more than the Mangalorean style. Sol kadi was yum.
2. Crab curry with neer dosa: crab curry arrived with a beautiful presentation of the crab shell. Again may be I was looking for a Goan style of preparation but this one was a chetinad style but the tasted good. Paired with neer dosa and rice.
Overall a good experience. Good seafood!
Very good and quick service. Staff was very polite. Food was awesome and tasty. Seafood was very fresh! This is a must visit place, I would surely recommend it and would be visiting again for sure.
I'm known for penning lengthy articles but I'll keep it simple this time.
Had this really outstanding Surmai Thaali at Fresh off the boat last week and there wasn't a single thing that I could crib about!
Loved every bit of this delicious thaali.
The prawns though, couldn't do justice, found them bland and meh!
Rest assured the thaali is to die for!
#LazeezStories
Located on the very busy Karve road of Pune, we went here randomly just to try something new and guess what it was indeed Serendipity!
Every dish that we ordered was excellent in taste and sufficient in quantity. The ambience is very fresh and the service is fast and kind . We were served by Ajit Maskar , a very jolly fellow!
Will indeed visit again soon !
Awesome seafood place. Can go anytime.
Tried sizzlers, Mandeli fry, Surmai fry and pomfret fry and all were good in taste.
It has zomato gold also which can make it reasonable in rates also.
Tried surmai fish thali over there ... The fish was super fresh and so was the prawns curry..simply delicious 🥰.
After the lunch I tried solkadi and it was relishing and I became fan of them .

The best Goan cuisine I have had till date. This is the closest any restaurant can get to serving authentic Goan cuisine. Some of the dishes they served were truly surprising and only close the reals Goans hearts.
Prawns Dangar ( Prawns pattice ) is a must try and it was great. Crab kheema was a real novelty and truly yummy. All other dishes were also great in taste.
Keep doing the great work and serving yummy coastal Goan food.
Awesome experience. Simple good ambience and great service make it a memorable must visit place for coastal food lovers and others alike.
Great place for fish. We ordered a surmai thali and the fish really tasted fresh of the boat. Satisfied with the ambience, staff as well as food. Also ordered chicken thali. It was also tasty.
As the name implies.....you really get fresh and tasty seafood here...again excellent service, reasonable rates and good ambience. From address (karve road) you may worry about parking but ample two wheeler and valet for four wheeler. Must visit for sea food lovers.
Fresh off the boat.
Veg fried rice and Hot garlic sauce meal.
Fried rice is a dish of cooked rice that has been stir-fried in a wok or a frying pan and is usually mixed with other ingredients such as eggs, vegetables, seafood, or meat. It is often eaten by itself or as an accompaniment to another dish.
Went here looking at the ratings.. And let me tell you the experience surpassed the ratings as well.
Loved the food... It was simply great!
Sea food thali 5/5
Fresh of the boat...
As fresh as it can get!!! After tasting the authentic fresh fish and Goan curry preps by my sis n her in laws, I hardly have the heart to try fish at any hotel. Been hearing a lot about two fishy places - FOTB and Guru Sawant, so we decided to have dekho at FOTB’s fishware...
Surmai, Rawas, Bombay Duck, Pomfret, all were fried to perfection, with crisp covering and without loosing the softness of the fish. The Goan curry had nice authentic flavour and went well with the Amboli. The basic thali comes at 400 and is sufficient for one. We ordered special thali to taste Prawns sukka and Prawns lonche. Sol kadhi was nice, with subtle sour n sweet taste. The rice though needs to be a bit flavourful to enhance the taste of the curry.
Seafood is tasty. Loved the prawns biryani. Staff is nice and polite. Service is fast. Ambience is also pretty good. Fish starters are decent.
I went here on weekend for dinner with my sister. The place was not much crowded. Was greeted with a smile by all the waiters. As there was no crowd they allowed us flexible seating.
We ordered regular surmai fry. It was very crispy and nicely cooked. I really liked it. It was served with coleslaw.
Then in main course we went for chicken curry and indrayani rice . I felt chicken was not that fresh but the gravy was very delicious. It was a perfect gravy to eat with indrayani rice.
The prices are normal. Not to less or high. Now they even have Zomato gold for their food menu.

There's nothing like being served fish #FreshOfftheBoat well literally. We drove through some maddening traffic and reached this place in the dead of Pune's hot summer afternoon, only to be welcomed into the cool interiors of a fairly well spaced out place filled with smiling faces.
Promptly Ajit walked up to us with the menu and Keroo and I quickly ordered :
Medium sized whole Pomfret fried in Gavran Masala
Bombil rawa fry
Goan prawn curry with Rice
Kharda Chicken with chapatis
The firm and yet delicately fried Pomfret was absolutely purrrrrfect and the taste of Gavran masala came through nicely to just about tingle the taste buds.
The bombils were fried golden brown and were sooooo crispy that they just about crumbled in the mouth.
The Kharda chicken, as warned by Ajit was spicy to the hilt and the first mouthful hit the throat to leave me gasping for breath. Just then Kunal who owns the place has to walk up to the table to ask if everything was OK and I could barely mutter in a choked voice.. Yessss and just kept nodding stupidly 🤣🤣🤣ultimately when I found my voice I told him that everything was superb and the chicken was just awesome just the way I like it. The Kharda masala leaves you craving for more and more and more 🔥😍😍😍though had to reach for the glass of water again and again😋😝😃
The Goan taste came thru aptly in the subtly spiced prawn curry which went well with the steamed rice and I practically drank up that curry with a spoon.
A superb meal... Definitely going back to try loads of other things on their menu. 😍Keep drooooooling😋👌
Had heard a lot about the place, finally gave it a try.
The quality of fish itself is amazing, whichever dish it is. Goan curry was up to the mark. A special mention for the beer dosa. You can have it just with the chutney as well. The service is at its best, waiters were very patient and helpful, caption was also very polite. Also the owner.
Would definitely visit the place again. Chinese starters are okayish though. Quantity is also fair enough, ordered half rice which was sufficient for three of us actually!

To begin with the ambience was nice and pleasant. The overall taste of food was really good.. I tasted the Pomfret tandoor which was soft and perfectly cooked, the prawns fry and bombil fry were good munchies and thalis were very delicious .. specially the prawns curry in the thali with the neer dosa..!The service was quick and polite.. Visit definitely to have some amazing sea food.. 😊
It’s THE place for seafood delicacies & spicy chicken preparation.

3. Sukha Chicken in Kerala style.
5. Sol Kadi
6. Neer Dosa.
The place lives up to its name.
The did is extremely delicious.
A variety of fish is available in starters as well as main menu.
Some may say that it is a bit overpriced but the ambience and service is really good.

Really good place for fish lovers
Ambiance is good food is good service is fast and good cost ok
Will recommend bombil rawa fry and
Surmai regular thali along with prawns curry
My second visit here, went all the way from office in Baner.
Look at those prawns, best preparation ever had.
Best curry quantity , nicely sufficient for chapati and rice.
Superb indrayani rice.
Lovely fish pieces, i had pomfret spl. Although i was hoping for crispy fried fish.
Unbelievablly yummy and cold solkadhi, perfect.
2 things though
The curry , i asked for ambotik, in my opinion was not ambat or tikhat enough. Lacked punch .
Food served pipping hot , in decent time
Salad not really fresh. I liked the earlier cabbage salad, some minor recipe changed, am sure.
Secondly, the waiters need to find a thing to do, very odd when restaurant not busy, three of them standing and kind of awaiting your gestures.
Well,i am going again anyway.
Don't let the name change your mind this place has amazing and delicious north indian food as well we had pahadi chicken tandoori chicken and numerous other starters and dishes and they were exceptional the staff was friendly the ambience could've been better and with Zomato gold this is good for pocket as well a must try!!!

Fabulous Seafood At Fresh Off The Boat
My brother and his family were visiting, and I wanted to take them out to lunch. When I asked them their choice of cuisine, they opted for seafood and I immediately homed in on Fresh Off The Boat. (I had been to FOTB a few months earlier hence am combining two visits in the same write up.)
As we had made prior reservation, in spite of being a busy Sunday afternoon, we were led to our table without any delay. As it was a hot summer day, we immediately ordered glasses of refreshing Sol Kadi. I’ve had Sol Kadi and many places and pretty good ones at that, but I have to say, the Sol Kadi at FOTB figures among the best!
The starters we ordered were
I have been a regular diner at Fresh Off The Boat , ever since my friends introduced me to this place, and never once left disappointed.
This review is for a recent visit a couple of weeks back.
We opted for a special Surmai thali and a regular Pomfret thali. I love the fact that they have options of special, regular and mini Thalis, with options in curries for customization. So one can choose as per their appetite and liking, and goes a long way in avoiding food wastage.
The special Surmai thali had a beautiful, huge slice of Surmai spiced and fried to a perfect crisp along with rawa. Their prawn pickle is to die for, and in the past I had even made them pack some for me to take-away. The prawn masala in the special thali is extremely flavorful with fresh aromatics. The fish curry is a perfectly balanced, Goan style fish curry; not too spicy, just the right amount of sour and nutty with the coconut. Sol kadhi is light and fresh, and thankfully not overly sweet like most other restaurants in Pune..
The regular thali had a perfectly fried, large whole pomfret and other items similar to the special thali, but with a few exceptions. Needless to say, everything was delicious.
The food is not too oily, not to spicy.. the spices never overpower the freshness of the seafood.. We left the place extremely happy and satiated.
Awesome..
The Goan essence in the dishes is exemplary.
Solkadhi is a must try here. The chicken dishes are prepared with quite a different flavour of coconut.
After a long wait, we dropped into this hotel. Its truely a place for sea food lovers. We has ordered 1 special fish thali and 1 regular fish thali and prawns schewan rice. I must say everything was delicious. Special Surmai thali is a must try for everyone.I hope to visit this place again and again. Loved it.
First visit to Fresh Off The Boat was awesome.
Great dishes. We ordered sea food soup and prawn platter. Absolute yummy.
We ordered surmai curry full and neet dosa and rice later. It was tastier. The staff and service was prompt and courteous. Definitely visiting again to try out other sea food delicacies.
Good going... Keep it up and add new dishes to your already rich menu.
Nice place , nice food , and basically good fresh fish . A place to come back again , friendly staff and management on their toes makes you comfortable
We have ordered couple of times from this place. Love the food from this place.
My Favorite is prawns curry.
Would definitely like to visit the place once.
Even after the recent splurge of sea-food restaurants in the city, I haven’t found an absolute favourite, go-to restaurant in Pune for sea-food. So with all this chatter about Fresh Off The Boat – Restaurant, I planned dinner here on Friday to see if it was all worth the hype. Its located very close to Dashabhuja temple, adjacent to the Paud flyover. Parking is an issue here, especially with the metro construction however they have valet service, which is convenient. Restaurant is well lit and has roughly 40-45 covers. Staff was quick to provide menu cards along with a small card with that day’s rate for certain fish items. Our attendant clearly explained the differences between the Special Thali and Regular Thali, which unfortunately can be confusing just by looking at the menu (differences explained below). When I mentioned that I was a PEO card holder, a separate offer card was handed over and each offer explained in detail. Top marks for the way the staff got down to business as soon as we were seated – presenting menu cards, daily rates for fish and precise explanation of offers, thalis which helped us make a decision quickly.
Lunched today at Fresh of the Boat - good food - surmai fry was too good , great Sehzwan fried rice , wonderful service ( one of the owners overseeing the service on the spot ), very good ambience. 👌
Fantastic is all I can say to describe my experience at this restaurant! Awesome food, humble and polite management. Tried the jumbo surmai fry, prawns Koliwada, it was heavenly. For the main course we tried the prawns tawa masala, chicken Biryani this too was delectable. The management was taking the feedback on taste and was also suggesting their speciality. Super impressed, keep with the good work guys, cheers!
Went here based on Zomato reviews and I must say I was not disappointed.. good ambience, cosy seating, decent service.. we ordered the FOB chicken starter which was yum.. succulent and soft - it was tasty.. next we ordered he Goan fish curry and neer dosa.. I was lil disappointed with the Goan fish curry taste. But the rice and neer dosa were perfect.. would definitely recommend this place..
Lovely place, good sea food options..
The best part is the fish was tasting fresh. The amount of chilli and spices used was perfect. Special fish thalli is huge to finish. Over all nice place good for family friends who love to have sea food.
If ur craving for some very good sea food.. Pls visit this place..
Ambotic curry is jusssssttttt yummm...
We loved each and everything that we had..
A nice place with a unique ambience. They have very polite staff who try to best cater your needs. One of the best solkadhis ever tasted. They customised it for us as my husband likes a concentrated solkadhi without garlic and it was made just as wanted. Fish Thali was nice surmai, fresh, prawns curry too tasty. A must visit seafood outlet. Zomato gold members cannot avail card benefit on their thali and APC dishes so don't know whether card will be useful.
This is a brilliant seafood restaurant. The pomfret was fresh and the prawn masala was tasty. The Sol kadi was good as well. The service was prompt and the hosts were friendly.
Beach, sea facing restaurant and fish preparation is not always possible right! But you can experience the authentic seafood at @fotbpune.
This is the most amazing seafood place that we have found in Pune.
Ambience is quite and staff is very attentive.
Visited this place 3-4 times and the seafood preparations have never disappointed us.

Cravings for sea food? Head out to this place to have some amazing sea food which will definitely make your tastebuds dance! Located on the busy karve road just beside the bridge, it is a feast for all seafood lovers! The ambiance is good enough and the service here is great! And the food is just amazing!
I had a few dishes here -
1. Tandoori prawns - these prawns were so well marinated and really well cooked! The tandoori marination itself was very delicious and spicy just as i love it!
2. Surmai curry - i ordered half curry as we were only two of us, but the quantity was so much even though it was just half! And the taste was really good! The fish was cooked perfectly. Loved it!
3. Fried squid masala rings - at first the squid felt undercooked and when i got it changed then it was really well cooked. The texture was lovely and the masala flavour added a really nice flavour to the dish.
Overall a realy good experience here. I would highly recommend the tandoori prawns and surmai curry to my readers. Cheers!
Visited this place after almost a year. A nice little restaurant serving veg and non veg food located on the ever busy Karve Road. Seafood being their forte. The ambience and decor looked pleasant. Ordered a variety of dishes and all were nicely done except for the Fish Fry where the fish wasn't really fresh. The owner offered to replace it and that's well appreciated. Decent portion sizes and fairly priced. The staff is polite and courteous. Will surely visit again.
This place has an interesting menu with good no of options. The restaurant is a must go for seafood lovers. The ambience is very nice and the service was quick enough. Every dish we ordered was excellent in taste including both veg and non veg. The quantity was decent enough. Had a wonderful experience and would surely visit again.
The very 1st point to be noted is, I AM A VEGETARIAN. Got to this place as my husband is a sea food lover. So to begin with Fish dishes, he absolutely loved each and every dish he had.
Usually, sea food restaurants don't serve good veg dishes, was our perception proved wrong by this restaurant.
We ordered corn basket for veg starter.
This lovely appetizer was super delightful as well as tummy filling!
Made up of bolied and golden fried scoop like potatoes with filling of corn, paneer and cheese, this one really surprised us with it's texture, taste and quantity!
Highly recommend for both vegetarians and non vegetarians!
In main course, we ordered veg xcauti with chapatis and dal tadka. Each dish was aptly tasteful and just kept surprising me, as I have never had good veg food at a sea food speciality restaurant!
To write about the ambiance, it was totally in sync with the food they serve.
The owner is a very friendly person and suggested and explained every dish thoroughly.
It is highly recommended for sea food lovers and also, the best part is that it is located at a very noticable area. Easy to reach.

Good ambiance and tasty food. We had sizzlers, prawns curry, both the dishes were good in taste. Service is also good but time required to serve order is high. One more thing hotel does not have parking so you will have to find the parking place nearby and as the hotel is on the main road finding parking becomes hectic.
Overall hotel is good and surely visit if you love fish.
Nice place for Chicken and Seafood lovers
We had Chiken soup, Chicken Tandoor and mocktails.
Chicken tandoor was properly cooked and moist enough. Soup was great. We had Blackcurrant blast mocktail, it was simply amazing, must try one.
Overall experience was amazing.
Food: 4/5
Service: 3/5
Ambience: 4/5
*Parking Alert*
Restaurant don't have its own parking so you will have to park either on road or you will have to park vehicle 200-300 away from the restaurant.
Fresh of the Boat
As the lovely name depicts this place is favourite for seafood Lovers. Its on Karvenagar Road . I was craving for seafood since long and it was an amazing experience to visit this place.
The ambience is quiet nice and they very well occupied the space. Parted into two sections .
On both the side there are Chairs, tables and couches. Brimming yellow lighting which embrace the interior .
On one side there are few paintings hanging on the wall depicting the sea and fishmen fishing.

I was craving for sea food from so many days and finally got a place to satisfy my cravings..
Fresh off the boat situated near kothrud is a perfect place to satisfy your taste buds for sea food and also as the name says they serve fresh food.
The ambience is lively and the interior will make you feel like you're in a boat. They play some really good groovy songs to cheer up your mood.
Coming to food and drinks we had:
In drinks-
1. Virgin mojito: My personal favorite amongst drinks.
2. Spiced guava and Hawain guava both of them were awesome. Spiced guava is bit spicy and sour in taste.
3. Solkadhi: I tried solkadhi for the first time and it didn't disappoint me at all. It was refreshing.
In starters we had:
Bombil rava fry, Prawns Platter, Corn basket, Fotb special chicken tikka,Surmai fish fry. All of them were amazing. Must try would be bombil rava fry and for vegetarian the corn basket. Also if you like spicy food then go with surmai fish fry as they use agri masala in it to make it spicier.
In main course:
1. Neer dosa,Prawns curry,Chicken handi, Surmai ambotik, prawns sukha and crab kheema. Neer dosa was really soft. The quantity of chicken handi was quite good. Loved the prawns sukha.

Thanks to Pune Eat Outs family for introducing us to this restaurant! I had a craving to eat fish thali in the past few days. Today being a holiday we decided to head to this restaurant this afternoon. Not sure if there was parking available and hence we travelled by OLA. For all those who are not aware they have a valet parking facility!
There we're 2 gentlemen at the cash counter who we're very pleasant and we were welcomed with sweet smile!!! The service is pretty quick. The food was awesome!!!
We ordered for regular prawns thali, special thali with surmai fry and prawns rawa fry starter. The fish was extremely fresh.... Like the name it was like fresh just out of the boat😊. The solkadi was refreshing!!!
The icing on the cake was a discount coupon
which can be used during the next visit which my husband is planning soon. Good ambience, VFM! All sea food lovers a must visit is my message to all!!
Few suggestions from me : Chapati if given fresh made will ensure that people will order for more. Fresh home made pickle can be served.
My daughter does not eat fish so she ordered for french fries which was in good quantity. She also ordered for schzwewan noodles which was okay. Good quantity!
"FOTB" - It's a rarity that you are touted with 'bon voyage' as well as 'bon appetit' at the same time and at the same place, but 'Fresh off the Boat' is one place where both those greetings seemingly go hand-in-hand. The food over here will make you go 'bon appetit', whereas the interior will inadvertently make you go 'bon voyage'
.
What I had there -
⏺Mocktails
▶Black Currant Blast - It's really a blast of Jamuns & vanilla ice cream. Fresh juice of kala jamun blended with creamy & soft vanilla ice cream combine to form a sparkling drink. Most mesmerizing mocktail which I had in recent.I'm sure you won't stop craving for more sips. Highly Recommended❤
▶Taste Teaser - Love pineapples? Go for this drink! Pineapple & pomegranate juice blended together with a dash of the lime cause of which you'll get sweet as well sour taste at a time. Also topped with fresh, red grains of pomegranate which will make your eyes roll. Great isn't it?
▶Fruit Fusion - A trio combo of peach pineapple & strawberries. It was garnished nicely & was looking juicy somehow this trio didn't work for me.
.
⏺Appetizers
▶Corn Basket - It's the only veg thing which I had at FOTB albeit it was good.Hollowed out potatoes stuffed with corn, mashed Paneer complex blending of flavors start from cheese and ends on fresh tandoori spices.Yet the corn still stays crisp & fresh & plays a beautiful roll.
.
▶Prawns Fry - Crispy & quick bites which one can ever have.Prawns were fried till crisp. All the seafood lovers will simply enjoy these crisp prawns. It's available in half as well as a full portion.
.
▶Butter Garlic Prawns - It's the best prawns dish which one can ever have. Especially the garlicky & buttery sauce was very luscious.Prawns were well fried & perfectly cooked and mixed with butter, oil & garlic paste. The freshly used ingredients created fireworks in a mouth. Highly Recommended❤
.
▶Murg Turki -Tasty, juicy & tender Chicken kebabs marinated in a red colored medium spicy cheesy cream & cooked in tandoor.By using a flavorful Marination of spicy cheesy cream & yogurt it created impressive results.
.
▶FOTB special chicken tikka - Aromatic, succulent, boneless chicken & full of incredible flavors marinated in chef's special cheesy flavored marinade & cooked in the tthe anthe doori sauce. Chicken tikka was creamy & scrumptious.
.
⏺Main Course
▶Special Surmai Thali - Special FOTB thali consisted of fish curry prawns, sukha fish fry, chapati, prawns pickle, koshambir, solkadi & rice. It's the masterpiece of the kitchen. So we went for the king of fish in this thali.i.e.Surmai. Surmai didn't have that typical fish-like smell. It tasted quite smooth & was very delicate. I had it with chapati & the curry along with steamed rice. Fish curry also had a slice of surmai. Curry was consistent & slightly dark red in color.
.
▶Solkadi -A healthy drink from kokan region made of coconut milk, kokum sometimes cumin seeds also with the dash of green chilies. Solkadi was almost up to the mark.An ideal drink for any season especially after lunch or dinner which will cool down your digestive system & also helps in digestion.
▶Spicy Prawns Sizzler -Sizzler had fresh prawns tossed in a spicy red chili sauce served with prawns & burnt garlic rice hot chili sauce. If you genuinely like the sizzlers then only I will suggest trying because there are more best other options.
.
⏺Dessert - Sizzling Brownie
Basic dessert but my all time favorite one because the chocolate & vanilla ice cream never disappoints us.Brownie was perfectly done & the sizzling effect was also on point.
.
All-in-All, FOTB is one of the best options for seafood in Pune. Other than seafood they also have few options in veg & Chinese too. The menu is quite big enough. Owners hosted us very nicely & explained us everything regarding food as well as how FOTB started. The ambiance will definitely give you vibes of the ocean. Hope FOTB will stand outstanding in future.Cheers!
Woow is the only word that comes to my mind. This restaurant has got some awesome menu options. After going through the menu we finalised on ordering the Special Fish Thali.
The Thali we ordered had a full fish fry, 3 chapati, rice, prawns chutney, Solkadi, fish in gravy. The staff is very polite. Service is quick. They even give you a discount coupon for your next visit. This restaurant is a must visit for seafood lovers

Special Fish Thali, Fresh Off The Boat
Last week I visited "Fresh Off The Boat" and in no time we decided to order the Thali. Why?
They had a placard placed on each table that clearly mentioned the content & price of the Thali with a photo. The outcome is you start craving for the thali even before you go through the menu.
When you order the thali you get 2 options - select which fish you want in the curry and which fish you want as rawa fried.
I ordered Prawn curry & Halwa fry. the thali arrived just identical to the placard and tasted even better.
Food was hot. Curry had 3-4 pieces of well cooked medium size prawns.
Prawn sukha was a different preparation. A grated coconut based, bit blunt for my liking.
Solkadhi, Pickle are worth a try.
The size of rawa fried Halva has quite good.
Overall a good experience with the Thali.
Will term it has bit costly for Rs. 649.
We also ordered Pomfret fry. Medium size was available for Rs. 499 (they also have a special menu which mentions the available size and it's price for that day). Pomfret was fresh and good. We all like it.
No complaints about service. It was good. We were kept informed and attended promptly.
Hope to visit soon to try more from their vast menu.

An amazing sea food place at Erandwane. You name it and these guys have it. Surmai, rawas, halwa, mandali, basa and yes they do serve amazing chicken. A must try here is the Chicken Ghee Roast, a wide offerings of Thalis and cannot forget to mention the classy Solkadi. Ambience here is just superb and you won’t get that stinky feeling which some of the sea food restaurants have. Service was top notch and courteous. On and all 5/5 on all the aspects.
Had a pomfret thali at Fresh Off The Boat - Restaurant Erandwane, Pune.
This is by far the best goan thali we had in Pune. Tried the seafood at various places but this was simply the best. Classy and elegant ambience and decent selection of music makes the experience even better. Homemade fresh prawns pickle, prawns sukha, pomfret fry, pomfret curry everything was finger licking good with adequate quantity. Great service and pretty cool owners... made my evening.
This place has lots of options on the menu. We tried mini fish thali ( cost Rs.249) Fish served was fresh, nicely flavored with right amount of spice level.
A fish place good for piscivorous people.
Concept is thought and the cuisine style is Malvan with Konkan style too. It's pricey but some dishes don't deserve the high price tag. Solkadi is good. Their Fish thali are a must try. Located on the main road and easily accessible. Closed on Mondays though. Don't try vegan here. Interiors are fresh with boat theme but not fancy and simple.
Its an amazing place for sea food lovers... MUST MUST VISIT.. Owners are very polite.. Food is top notch (fresh and Tasty)..
Also thali is fully customizable here.. never seen this anywhere..
.
Just one issue though... Solkadi was kind of put off in the Thali.. Taste wise it was not upto the mark..
My quest to find an authentic Fish Thali ended when I visited Fresh off The Boat ! I finally gobbled down the perfect fish thali in Pune.
Pros: The quantity of all the dishes is huge and is fulfilling enough according to the price. The staff is polite and helpful. The food is served hot. They also have amazing options for vegetarians.
Cons: Nothing as such.
As you enter the place, Fresh off the Boat gives you all the beachy vibes with its thoughtful interiors. The place is well lit with and has a classic seating arrangement.
I tried out various dishes. Amongst them my favorite were :
Solkadhi: Solkadhi here turned out to be a great appetizer for me. The consistency and flavors were on point.
*Fish Achari Tikka : The fish was well marinated in a kokani pickle flavoured masala. It was grilled to perfection from outside and soft from the inside
Chicken Ghee Roast : This is a must have for all the chicken lovers out there. Chicken was cooked in a generous amount of ghee. It was a little bit spicy yet tasty.
*Stuffed Masala Fried Pomfret : A whole pomfret was stuffed with a greenish fillings. It was served with green chutney and spiced cabbage salad.
In the starters I also had prawns fry, Mandeli Fry, Fish Tikka and Veg. Corn Basket. All of them were amazing.
Thalis .
A typical fish thali here includes fish fry, fish curry, prawns masala, prawns pickle, solkadhi, Chapati or Neer Dosa, Solkadhi, Indrayani Rice, salad.
I had Surmai Thali, Rawas Fish thali, Prawns thali, Halwa thali.
One thali was tummy filling for a single person.
The thali which awakened my taste buds was
*Rawas Fish Thali :
It had four small fish fry which were the highlight of the thali. The curry had a thick consistency and went well with the Indrayani rice. The prawns pickle and the prawn sukkha brought the thali to a next level.
Tips : Do order the Neer Dosa in place of Chapatis/Bhakri. It is their speciality. They also have an option of Zomato Gold.
Verdict : Fresh off the Boat is a total paradise for Sea-Food lovers. Do visit them to satisfy your fish-y cravings !
