This place brings back alot of happy occasions when I purchased sweets for family and friends.
I really love this brown peda they have which is coated with sugar granules and looks and tastes just delicious.

Kaka Halwai is one such place which needs no introduction, one of the leading sweet home brand in pune. The reason is purely the quality of their products which has been maintained over the years.
Any festival or occasion we are sure to have packets of mithai from here. All of their sweet variants are truly good. Perfect balance of sweetness and freshness. Packed really well.
My most favorite is their Kaju Katli, perfect in shape, size and taste. I would never visit any other sweet shop if i have to buy kaju katli, i always tend to travel all the way to near or far kaka halwai joint.
Second best are motichoor ke ladoo, even having a single ladoo is such a pleasure. Super moist and amazing taste.
Then follows their ukadiche modak, such melt in a mouth delicacies is this, the coconut filling is perfect in taste.
Their mava barfi, gulab jamun, anjeer roll, dry fruit barfi, malai pedha, modak are all so good.
Savory bests include suralichi vadi, samosa, and matari served with red and green chutney best to eat while your order is getting packed.
Be polite and friendly. This is a place of love, not hate.Kaka halwai has a lots of sweets,I like his all sweets. Specially its chocolate burfi
The motichoor ladoo from here is worth trying one can never forget the motichoor ladoo here. Matar kachori was a bit disappointed by it coz it wasnt that chatpata as a kachori should be.
Kaka halwai doesn't need any introduction for sure. Located on the busy Pune Satara road it cannot be missed.
I have been buying sweets from here whenever there is some occasion or festive season.
Mostly have taken the pedhas and burfis. However my favourite has always been the fresh malai burfi absolutely no alternative for this one.
Although I feel the prices are a little too high, guess one has to pay for the name and the quality.
Definitely a must try.

Well not quite a frequent visitor here as i prefer spicy food but still i must say ovee the years kaka halwai have maintaned their standards of hygene, taste and quality. Punekars are proud that they have a sweet shop like kaka halwai. They offer loads of variety and you will surely get confused on what to choose.
Lets make it simple.
Gulab jamun, Malai Barfi, Jalebi and Keshari Pedha. To tell you in puneri language, (na baghta dole mitun ghya)
They also offer Rasagulla, few bengali mithai items. Etc.
All in all your taste buds are satisfied.

One of the best halwai chain in town after chitale bandhu. If compare anytime I would prefer kaka halwai. All sweets and bakery eateries are fresh and less oily. Personally I like their all kind of kaju sweets and stuff veg puff. Even pedhas are famous.
They have ample of variety in all sweets
Good place for buying sweets near Parvati area, good place with several options for sweets like kaju katlis and pedhas.
Distinctive food items to try here are samosa pattice, pudachi wadi and pista katli. You can have baked sweet karanjis as well.
Chocolate modaks available during Ganesh festival season are worth trying.
Staff is helpful and will help you to get your customized need sweets.
Amongst all the chains of Kaka Halwai, this one too has kept it's food standard in serving rich Indian sweet delicacies to us. The Malai barfi variety is like no other. Try their seasonal Sitaphal one. Also their quick bites like samosas and all are good and fresh..
If you want to have boondi Laddoo , don't go anywhere else other than this place . They have amazing boondi ladoo ! . They have wide variety of sweets and farsan items . Their matar Karanji and surli wadi is also very delicious .
I personally like it more than Chitale as they have a more fresh atmosphere and I feel the taste is also better. A great thing about them is the way they handle their billing, you do your shopping and it gets added to the card they give you while entering the shop . Makes the billing fast and easier.
I surely recommend anyone to try out the place and dont forget to have the boondi laddoo ! ..
Lots of variety I think you name the sweet they will have it.
Taste is good but pricey.
If they have dinein they should let people eat then pay instead they say payment first.
I didn't find the owners friendly they are not customer friendly have an attitude may be because they are counted in tops. If I had got good service I would have rated more.

A nice experience with this place came yesterday , when I got " Ukadiche Modak " , for Ganpati Puja ... ( Ukadiche Modak is a special preparation for Ganesh Pujan , as it was supposed to be his fav food ..The outer cover of the modak is made of rice flour and the stuffing is made of coconut and jaggery . Modak can be fried or steamed .. Ukadiche means steamed ) .. Lot of quantity was readily available though it seemed that lot of orders where already placed before hand . Service was fast and staff was co-operative .
Other stuff you may try here are : Pure ghee jalabi , Raas malai , angur malai , Chinese samosa and Surali wadi .

Kaka Halwai is one of the most popular sweet food chains in Pune, the other being Chitale. Let me tell you one thing. Kaka Halwai is far more superior than Chitale. Whether in terms of taste or quality or standards. Kaka Halwai beats Chitale in every way possible so please avoid Chitale and head to Kaka Halwai if you are smart.
They offer everything you need. Sweets, namkeen and some gujrathi delicacies like khaandvi and dhokla. I have never seen them going out of stock.
My favorites are gulab jamuns, khaandvis, moong dhoklas, kaju katri made in various shapes and flavors. Its just awesome.

I do visit this place frequently as it is nearest to my home. If you wanna munch some really good sweets and deserts then there is no other place in town in terms of taste, quality and variety available here.
Always the best when it comes to sweets and namkeen. There was a time when chitale ruled pune for this category but kaka Halwai beats it hands down not just with the sheer variety they have but also the taste.
Parking can be a problem at this location, go in odd hours if you have a car.
The billing system is actually good as they have a biometric cart system. The food stall outside it famous for chole bhature, and to say, truly it was great for the cost of a cent. The service was good and they provide extras too. The drinks are a bit expensive tho. The sweets inside the shop are reasonable priced and great variery too. Must try the mava chop and rajbhog. Apart from that, it is a mini confectionery and it sells various salt chips too. Oppsite to it is Panchami hotel, which is also a considerable option for a full course meal. Also, it is just next to ST Colony bus stop, so it is easy to access for to-go customers.

We prefer the Kaju Katli and different Burfi varieties from Kaka halwai. They also serve other spicy items like khaman dhokala, samosa, farsan, chiwada. Digital payments like upi and cards are also accepted. During festival season like diwali they sell diwali special items like chakali, chiwada, ladu etc. During Dasara they sell Amrakhand, Shreekhand. Do visit for tasty food items.
Amazing Sweet shop, lot of varieties Kaka Halwai is a brand name in Pune. If you are gifting sweets for birthdays, marriages or any special ceremony, the shop will not disappoint you. Lot of different flavours in Kajo barfi . Even if you are hungry you can help yourself with some snacks like Samosa, dokla etc but quality once.😇

Famous local sweet shop with many chain shops in city
They have a convenient shopping experience to add items into a handy digital token which can be collected at the counter before payment, also you can eat some of their delicacies while shopping especially bengali sweets and pay at the counter during full and final payment.
P.s. I really enjoyed their chaat stalls 😋
Favorite sweet shop for Diwali Faral and sweets. Even though Bikaner is close to my house and Kaka Halwai thrice the distance but still it pulls me for sweets. Loved the chole bature and Pani puri counter too!

One of the best sweet i ever had in pune.... You can try kaju rolls and rasmalai which was damn good.... Other than that i tried samosa and kanda kachori which was worth eating
