I love this place, has a good vibe, always great coffee and some amazing delicious cakes. Famous are cheesecakes and poundcakes- banana one is fast selling. Both cold and hot coffees leave a good after taste to your palettes. Staff always nice n courteous

Have been going to their cafe's since i was a child. This place brings back a lot of memories. Love the hazelnut pastry. Staff is super friendly and very much open to criticism. If you let them know you like your coffee/iced tea a certain way, they adapt to your taste and next time you'll get your drink just how you like it. Amazing place to catch up with friends over a cuppa. Also a good place to come down to when you need fresh air after hitting the books hard and just want to relax or when you cant waste even a single minute of studying. The owners are lovely peeps too. All in all one must come down here to just chill and have an evening with friends.
Good place dedicated to coffee and confectionery, and keeping alive the tradition of coffee places where we can spend a good amount of time hanging out with friends or company. Also Saw some using this opportunity to read books. In all a good place. Tried nothing special, but a classic cappuccino, which was good.

One of the coolest hangout spots this side of town. Coffee jar is a great place if you are looking for some great coffee and some delicious dessert. I would definitely reccomend the hazelnut tandakchino because of its sweet blend. The cheese cakes and the brownies are sure to get you addicted. If good coffee and great conversation is what you have in mind this place is definitely worth checking out with your friends.

Those who want REAL SMOKY test of coffee, must visit here. Coffee beans are really unique here. I loved the name given(TANDAKCCINO) for Cold/Ice Coffee. Became a fan of Coffee Jar!!!
I LOVE going to this coffee shop! The only downside is no WiFi! The people who work there are always so accommodating and friendly. My favorite thing to get is the fully loaded brownie and the Coffee Jar Signature with 1:4 of the white chocolate ratio. I love that anyone can come in to study, meet with friends or have a nice conversation!

They have this amazing thing called “Choco-Caramel-bar”. It’s really delicious with three layers of chocolate - caramel - cookie. You will see more variety of iced tea than you’ve ever seen before.
Nice place to hang out with friends and is well located. Must visit place if you love coffee . The cakes and muffins are good to relish also.

This is most probably the first coffee shop in wanowrie.
We ordered Marble creme and chocolate chip creme.
We ordered a pastry and banana bread as well.
Marble creme was really nice. Chocolate chip creme did not have a nice taste and it wasn't made properly.
The pastry was fresh and tasted good. The banana bread was also nicely made. We later put chocolate syrup on it and it tasted even better.
There were a lot of mosquitoes over there. They didn't really have proper pest control. They just lit a coil and kept it aside.
Overall it's an average place to sit and sip some coffee and have a good time.
Extremely cozy and relaxing place. The tempting smell of fresh coffee is the mood setter. Nice variety of cakes and cheesecakes. Very well prices for good quantity.

Had cold coffee, it was okay.., I've had better. The blueberry cheesecake was good but dense. The chocolate mocha pastry was lovely.

Coffee jar is the most affordable coffee places in all over pune and serves you coffee jar which tastes more of like water and a tinge of coffee with milk. It can be a savior for people who are dying of dehydration. Owner of this place is highly chuffed up because of his business is running so good by fooling people over coffee and is not at all welcoming.

This place is always crowded - Monday evening looks as crowded as Saturday evening - That talks pretty much everything about this place. I dont think its a bad thing at all ;-) . Their coffee is really amazing, honestly the best coffee that i have ever tried. Made freinds with a few people , talked to a few random strangers, debated on a few issues - overall 'felt' nice being at Coffee Jar. I think thats what a coffee shop should do to its customers ..... than JUST serving coffee that most people dont know much about.

One of my favourite hangout place in Pune when i was a college student... Caramel tandakccino was my favorite... the brownies were just awesome.. I used to visit this place at least once in a week... never had such a wonderful coffee after leaving Pune..
Was a little crowded when we visited this place one evening.. Outdoor seating is like a smoking area so we chose to sit indoors where there wasn't much of a crowd..
We ordered a Coffee and Mocha 'tandakccino' (cold coffee) and both were served to us really fast. They were well made.. We ordered a Chicken Mayo sandwich and a blueberry cheesecake as well..
We didn't really like the sandwich.. the cheesecake was a bit too dense, but was pretty good in matters of taste..
The other pastries and cake slices seemed pretty tempting. Would love to come back to try some..
But the sandwiches didn't really go well with us.
All in all, I guess this place is good for a quick coffee..

The scatter of tables and chairs outside looked inviting after a day's hard work; to simply sit back, nursing a hot cup of cocoa in the chill of Pune's approaching winter and watch the night life pass by, but they were all occupied by groups of youngsters engrossed in light-hearted conversations.
So amidst casual yet admiring glances at my pretty friend, we walked in, choosing to occupy the beckoning sofa by the large window, after ordering a much needed iced tea, which my friend promised me was marvelous here!
The polite young man at the counter declined to accept card payment (Mr. PM and Mr. Jaitley to kindly take note) and fortunately for us, accepted the ₹2000 note I had been carrying for the past one week in my wallet, having made futile attempts at exchanging it for smaller denominations (4/5)
We both chose a Kiwi Mint (₹80) each (and I insist that they switch to taller take-away containers for that price tag) and retreated to the sofa. As I began taking pictures of the interior for my review for Zomato, waiting for the order to arrive, we invited curious glances; making us feel a little silly and embarrassed.
The iced tea was brought to our coffee table by a smiling young lad and true to my friend's words, absolutely chilled and refreshing. (5/5)

The customer friendly demeanor did not go unnoticed, and I may soon choose to walk in here many more times on my way home, for a coffee and some "me' time or in the company of my lovely friend. And they wouldn't care less for how long we while away our time here.
The original Coffee jar branch being located a stone's throw from my place, I've had the opportunity to visit this place very very often. The coffees, sandwiches and pastries are all must try. Order anything here, and you will not be disappointed. No wonder this place is swamped all day, at any given hour. My personal favs here include the cappuchino and the banana walnut bread.
On my last visit here, I had a baked cheesecakes the name of which I seem to have lost (pic attached).
Boy, what a cheesecake it was! Perfectly creamy, low on sugar and complemented my cappuchino like it was born for it :)
CJ has 5 branches, and I recommend you visit atleast one of them for the amazing Patisserie and coffee.
I wonder why I never reviewed this place given that this is my favourite coffee cum hangout place in Pune and I have been going to this for past 4 years (since I have come to Pune). Guess I enjoy this place so much I never cared to judge it ;)
Location is very ideal for a cafe..off from the congested wanowarie road...a lane full of food hangouts with rich amount of greenery and peace.
The ambience is pretty simple ..cozy place inside the cafe and some chairs kept outside. Pull a chair, smoke or grab a coffee and forget the world.
The coffee here is very good..I always go for mocha and blueberry cake. Cafe has some great options like cheesecake and chocolate fantasy ..all bakery items are good.
This place is for long talks and some brilliant coffees.

This place is situated near salunkevihar, attracts quite cosmopolitan crowd.. people come and read books, few of them sing songs & play guitar.. so it's quite a pleasant atmosphere.. we had turtle cheese cake, chocolate brownie & cold frappe.. All items are good & we had good time with our buddies..

Coffee Jar is the one rare place in Pune where you can meet your girlfriend for a cup of coffee. Then an iced tea, then some cheesecake, then some sandwiches and expect a bill of under ₹600. The pricing is so great that you wouldn't mind indulging and the taste doesn't disappoint you. The ambience is chilled out. Not too fancy, and you can order without sweating it.
In my personal opinion. Visit this gem rather than overpriced franchise coffee shops.

So I'm going to be partial about this one. Do not claim to have tried much. But I keep going back for just the warm, comforting chocolate walnut pie. Enough said. Best chocolate walnut pie I've ever had. That, coupled with hot coffee, perfect for a lazy Sunday evening. What more does one need!

All my weekends always have one visit to this place! Probably this place has sorted half our life decisions over cold coffee and carrot cake! The most inviting is the sofas outside on both the sides of the stairway where people station themselves for so many hrs over gossip that they could actually camp there. This place offers the cheesecake range and brownies. Their green tea and a few more flavors are a huge hit! The staff is courteous and the service quick. A light breezy evening is all that u need to get to this place!
This place is like the hub of Wanowarie. A cool place to hang out and chill with your friends.
The food offered is also mesmerising. May it be the sandwiches or different kinds of pastries, everything has its place on the menu. I am in love with the red velvet cake which they prepare. All the drinks offered are also very tasty.
The service is very prompt and polite and everyone greets you with a smile. A very cozy ambience and a very welcoming cafe.

This has been one of my favourite cafés in the city for quite a while now! A nice place to chat, hangout and have coffee or desserts with your bestie or maybe even go for a post lunch/dinner dessert date. Wide variety of coffee's to chose from but my favourite here is the Mocha Tandakccino. It's a nice thick coffee with chocolate sauce. Good quantity. One look at the dessert counter and you'll go crazy over the amount of options they have! I have a massive appetite so believe me when I say you can never finish the cheesecake all by yourself! (I mean after a complete meal) Me and my friend tried the Turtle cheesecake with toppings of walnuts and caramel sauce. It was perfectly smooth and melt-in-the-mouth creamy and a chocolate crust. One of the best cheesecakes I've had! The Bliss pie was also great made of cream and a chocolate crust. It was pure Bliss and definitely gave justice to the name. Yet to try the carrot cake and the red velvet here. Maybe next time.. Definitely worth a visit!
The atmosphere and the people are great. Love the music they play, the desserts are fantastic, and most importantly, they make great coffee.
In terms of coffee this place is good but for snacks like sandwiches it's a big no. Ambience is pretty good. But most amazing thing is there music. They keep on playing all the awesome rock music. Overall a good place to hangout with friends.
A regular here once upon a time returned here a week back after a year ,to find it changed....for the better. As usual their coffee's were still a delight but my surprise was on the pastries and especially the cheesecake which was better than what it was. A very chilled out place to hang out and catch up with friends. The service is prompt, everything on the menu is good. All in all when ur craving a cuppa coffee this is the place to be!

Having been to the wanowrie Coffee jar quite a few times over the last 7-8 years, I've noticed, Coffee jar is one of the places that takes consistency very very seriously.
From the Coffee bean to the cup every step of the process is paid a lot of attention to and the end result has always been excellent. A cool place for working people and the students .
Gets quite crowded over the weekends and evenings in general, but the super warm passionate owner at the cafe does take some time out to chat with his patrons to get a first hand feedback on whats being served.
My standard order at coffee jar has mostly been (with the ratings):-
Butter pound cake : 5/5 By far one of the best butter pound cakes I've ever had, still looking for a match in Delhi ncr.
Chicken sandwiches (all kinds), you can get them grilled and are quite delicious. (4/5)
Summers - Coffee based thandakchinos(5/5). Simply amazing!!
Winters :- The "Jar". Coarsely ground fresh coffee served in a top notch french press(milk optional) .(5/5)

Best place to have hangout with friends over a cup of kaaapi. I personally am a big fan if the tandakkinos and coffee pastry. Coffee pastry is something you wont find perfect elsewhere in pune. They also garnish the pastry with the roasted coffee bean. Cappuccino is good. Recommendations : mocha cold coffee and coffee pastry.
So this place has shifted to shivanand gardens ,off jambhulkar chowk. Coffee jar is a lovely café known for their brownies and coffees.

Pretty neat coffee shop. Plenty of seating, both inside and outside. The options in coffee are wide and surely different from the usual ones. I tried out the raspberry and chocolate creme but didn't enjoy it as much. Also tried the mocha coffee and it was fabulous. Strong coffee - exactly the way it should be. Tried out the cherry cheesecake as well which turned out pretty good. Reasonably priced as well and is a recommended place for a coffee and a quick bite.
Its been almost 5 years since i have been visiting here.They know how i like my coffee and they are like family now.I think the best place to have pastries and coffee in Pune.Sini and Aseem know their customers by name and the kind of welcome they give you it makes you come back again.

Their signature coffee is absolutely incredible. Cakes n brownies are fresh and fantastic. The Fully loaded Brownie is not to missed. Overall ambience is really laidback and cozy.
The chicken sandwiches are good and packaged, but the Katraj milk used for the cold coffee wasn't pre-boiled at all, which did lead to an upset stomach. The infrastructure is quite outdated as it hasn't changed in the last 10 to 12 years (it is exactly the same as it was when I used to hang out there during my school days). Also, there were too many flies in the cafe. Overall, the quality of this specific Coffee Jar has dropped over the years. They have not even bothered to update themselves to include alternative milk options (soy, almond, oat, coconut, etc).
This is where the story for Coffee Jar began. Was a frequent visitor since 2007 /08. Now there's another Cjar closer to where I am. This one is ran by the owners of CJar unlike a few being franchise/outlets.

I'm a frequent visitor to CJ. Variety of Coffee. However my all time favorite is Cafe Latte with Hazelnut Flavor. You can ask them to make the flavor a bit strong (i like it that way). Regular cup costs ₹90 and the large ₹130. But all you have a lovely coffee best company and good music. It has a washroom we can use (do not expect that to be clean always). Good pastries and sandwiches. There is sitting arrangement outside the cafe for people who like to smoke. People sitting inside can enjoy the music and coffee. Staff is generous and polite. Overall a good concept to relax after long working hours or on a weekend.
It has lost its charm after COVID. It was really a happening cafe in Wanowari but now it's really in a sad state.
Hope they catch up soon.
I'm a regular here since 2013. It's my favorite coffee shop in town. Great Coffee and Apple Pie.
People here socialize and a there's a lot of regular customers around.
You'll prefer it more if you're a smoker.
Additionally, the staff is really helpful. :')
The coffee is amazing here. You will also get cakes and pastries here.
Nice ambience and good coffee. Good place to catch up with friends for long chit chat.
