Went on a Sunday afternoon with the family for a late lunch. Reached there at around 3 and the place was still packed. There was a waiting for around 20 minutes despite confirming ahead of arrival but the wait was worth it. Since the place is small and given its popularity, some wait is expected.
We ordered Reshmi kebab and angara kebab for starters and Dahiwala Murg & Gosht Shahi korma for the main course. Waiting after 15-20 minutes the starters arrived and they were worth the wait. The chicken pieces were marinated beautifully and flavors went with every bite. the chicken was juicy and tender and did not at all taste like a rubber. The main course was equally delicious. While the dahi wala murg was mild and creamy, the mutton had a spicy kick to it. Both went well with their traditional rumali and tandoori roti. The rotis and naans were soft as well and not a hard 'papad' which other restaurants serve.
This is a must visit for anyone in Pune craving for an amazing non-vegetarian fair. There's a lot on offer in the menu with its own individual taste.

Was here for my friends birthday treat.. we were 8 of us but wasn't a problem because the place was pretty vacant and we got our table on arrival.. service provided was good.. food was delicious.. ambience was soothing.. quantity was also great.. a good value for money.. the best part of the mean was the desert,. Malai firni and shahi tukda is a must try!
Mughal Darbar as the name suggest some Mughal recipe some biryanis n kebabs bingo I am Writing a review for the awesome biryani they serve the exact amount of spices which enrich the flavor of chicken and rice and make it perfect with great aroma and taste well If you are working near kalyani nagar do go here and try I hope you will not need to wait much and ur tummy will feel happier 🤗🤗😊😊

I visit this place very frequently, love their mutton paya soup.Food is decent, but the staffs are very careless, seems like they have management issues.
They will always either add or deduct something from our order, and will behave as if that's normal.food is good and affordable.
Contrary to the other reviews, I'm actually really impressed with this place . The ambiance is very royal and sets the perfect mood for a meal with yoir family and loved ones. We were dead hungry when we reached , the only major drawback is the service is very slow but I enjoyed my time here .
We ordered makkhan lasooni jhinga : basically the Indian name for garlic butter prawn. I'm a seafood junkie , I can say the prawns were not fresh but I think that's the best available in that locality so can't complain. It had a nice smokey flavour with mild flavour of garlic and butter. I liked this preparation .
Murg chakori : the taste was exactly like the previous starer . I couldn't make out the difference at all . Not recommended .
Murg shahi korma : this took ages to be prepared but the wait was indeed worth it . A big tray full of chicken pieces roasted to Perfection in a yummy tomato and curd based gravy ! We were four people and yet couldn't finish this with rotis.
Mutton dum biryani : spiced balanced perfectly with well cooked tender chunks of mutton. This was one the best biryanis I had in the western parts of India . I loved how unlike most places in the West it wasn't simply rice mixed with curry, they actually put efforts to make it the authentic way. Recommended.
We were too full to have dessert 😂

Nice kebabs and chicken main course dishes that I had had once. But the biryani was just terrible, taste, quantity everything. Could do with some improvement. PS a thumbs up for the ambience
Food was tasty and well cooked. Good ambiance and lighting. Prices were pocket friendly. Will recommend if you want to taste good non veg. 3.5 as it is still far from being an authentic mughlai.
I have been lucky the last few days when I have tried new places. This came to be a delight. I ate twice from here both times took a delivery. The chicken gravies are simply amazing. I feel their specialities are chicken lazeez and chicken tikka masala. They definitely deserve another 0.5 however deducted that cause the first time around the food came a good 1 1/2 hour after ordering. Other than that, they could improve their lacha paratha"s! They are too thick (so much that it's left a bit raw at sections).
Food is great , never disappointing , quick service and good service .
However very poor ambience
As well as poor home delivery service , service guy doesn't bring change each and every time and ends up keeping the change for himself ..
Had been to Kharadi the other day and on the way back home, thought of having dinner so took the road to Kalyani Nagar. After roaming in the by lanes, came across Mughal Darbar on the main road itself.
This place is elite with rich interior and neatly laid out tables on either sides. They specialize in the Nawabi cuisine is what they claim. So thought of ordering something new.
Murg Sia Mirch:
Quantity wise, this dish is a perfect choice for a single person. Chicken cooked in a thick gravy or masala as I would call it. The pieces of chicken are cooked to the core. Perfectly balanced flavours, perfect spice level. And those tiny bites of garlic you get to chew when you have a morsel is an add on.
The Butter Garlic Naan is too good.
Overall it was a nice experience. Good staff, quick service and reasonable on the pocket.
Basically an authentic North Indian Restau with awesome ambience and lighting. Properly themed to give you a good feel about this place.Food is very tasty and this restau is pocket friendly too. The quantity is quite good. Try some sea food dishes and you will not regret trying them.
The food here is very tasty.
Should try Kathi Roll.
I always have it whenever i go there.
Also the biryani is delicious.
Chicken platter is yummm
What you see here is an authentic north indian restaurant coupled with a quaint decor. This place is surprisingly nice considering all the whacky themed restaurants that keep springing up here and there. You cant go wrong with Murg Lahori and Nalli ki Nihari. Both finger lickin' good. Overall, it isn't the best, but it ain't the worst either.
From outside it looks like some blah restaurant ... But the ambience inside is really cool .. Nice theme ... All the waiters are dressed in phatani dress .... Coming to the food .... The biryani is really good ... Any dish u take its tasty .... Only disappointment the food here isn't spicy ...
Biryani's are awesome ..Â
Taste is really good ..Â
They should improve there Raita that comes with biryani ..Â
There should also be some soup or rassa with the biryani for spicing it up ..Â
Good place to visit with your family .. take any sabji here .. it will be of good taste ..Â
All the nonveg and veg food here is good .. starters are delight and makes you full before main course .. :pÂ
Must visit for chicken cravings and starters ..
nOTE: bIRYANIS hAVE eGG'S iN iT
The place has a very old feel to it. It is a very small place with old decor. The kebabs are good. The waiters there wear pathani which gives you the mughal feel. The place has a limited but decent menu. Anybody looking for good food at reasonable rates can give it a try. They should increase their portion size though.
went for late lunch at around 3..45 pm orderedoup aws absoulately terribele ,never imagine a paya souplike that as its one of my favourite.then gone for main ghost ishskew was good ,garlic nnaan as well mouthaatering ,thanks for good main ..
I visited this with few friends last Sunday. I have nice things about restaurant in zomato. I have found it to true. It has good variety for non-vegitrain. People who likes mughlai food will like this place. I like kebabs. I tried peswari kebab.. I love meeti chicken too.
The food served here have never disappointed me. Anytime can rely on this restaurant and it will give you the best food. Ambience is also good. U can see authentic posters n all. Though a bit small place but best food.
Located on the Main street of Kalyani Nagar. Nice ambiance with Royal Mughal's touch. Not so expensive as it looks from outside. Good varieties of Mughlai's Cuisine in the Menu.
Got to taste Murg Matki, Hara Murg with Rotis followed by The Chicken Biriyani. The Curries were good with decent taste so as the Biriyani. Chicken Biriyani could have been better is less mint leave were used. Service is little slow. Overall a decent experience.
Yes a special food Mughal style. Served Hot. Good Service. 1 flaw Table little crunched. over all ambience great. 4 points for food. Service little slow but food makes for it.
Brilliant food, perfect ambience!
One of the very few places that actually serve authentic mughlai food.
Chicken akbari is a must try, oh and their butter naan will jusy melt in your mouth. And the best part, it's not too heavy on your pocket for the quality of food they are providing.
Good food.
Awesome ambience.
Slow service.
Decent price.
Quantity was a concern for the dishes I had. Slightly less than usual.
---- Murg Nizami is worth a try.
Gosht Seekh Kabab- 250/- The Seekh Kababs are good a little hard on the outside but on the inside its nice and juicy with all the aromas of the Bhatti. Nalli Nihari-250/-, Gosht Chaap Masala-250/- These two dishes are in different Gravys which is very rare to find. The Nalli Nihari has a thin Gravy a little spicier but it's good. The Chaap Masala comes in a thick gravy and is medium spicy with all the aromas of the spices included. The meat has been cooked very well and it leaves the bone quite easily which increases the urge to eat more. Rotis and Nans are the normal ones and they are at the same rate as 20/- per tandoori Roti To end it all Ambience- 3.5, Reason too hot and the AC wasn't working. Service-4, A little slow but the wait is worth it. Value for Money-5 Good Food and the right amount of money.
Nice place for non-veg lovers.
Tried Tandoor first nothing special but not bad :)
Also tried Murg nizami in Kebab tests good, can try :)
After that ordered Murg Biryani boneless and egg biryani, both were good.
In veg tried Hara bhara kebab, good dish can try as there are too less options for veggies ;)
Also please dont try their Tandoor veg kebab its mess :@..
overall good experience :)
As named so was ambience MUGHAL.. Ordered Murg Laziz Handi it was good bt not the taste my buds were looking for dinner. Den Ordered Murg Dum Biryani and must say it was good, service and staff were well behaved. Overall good place.
Food was delicious...People who love spicy food must visit there...Service is bit slow...Rest taste is good...No parking issues...Food Plates are a bit unique...
You can spot this restaurant while going to the airport road from westinn KP on the right hand side right after big cinemas.
I have always been a big fan of mughalai food. As I used to stay in Lucknow, I never could get over the amazing mughlai food you get there in legendary restaurants like dastarkhwaan or tundai kebabs. So with my curiosity I directly went inside to give it a try.
Now with exceeded expectations I went inside and I noticed a not so big restaurant with the waiters in kurtas. It was 11:30 so the restaurant was empty. We ordered a plate of Chicken Nizamis and a plate of boneless mutton dum biryani.
Starting with chicken Nizamis, big pieces of chicken were marinated in some kind of red masala which the waiter didn't share and were then kept on a seekh. It tasted amazing with perfect flavours, not too spicy at all and perfectly cooked. Wasn't too chewy and wasn't melting or breaking apart. It was just perfect. It tasted even better with the green chutney which they served.
Next I had the mutton boneless dum biryani and man it tasted good. Perfect blend of flavours. The mutton pieces actually melted with every bite.
Overall this is a very good restaurant with excellent service and delicious food. A must visit from my side.
We visited Mughal Darbar with family, last Friday. I understand that the current owners have retained the furniture etc when they took over from Kareem's some years back. They have also retained all the dust and dirt left behind by the previous owners( just look at the ac near the entrance). The food was good. The payah shorba was a hit with everyone ( from age 14 to 90). The mutton curry, the chicken curry and the cheese nan and rotis received everyone's approval. Service is a huge problem. The waiters are very polite when they finally decide to serve you but most of the time they are busy talking to each other.
I'm damn sure you'll fall in love with their food but will be disgusted by their service! When you enter the place, you're hit with a strong tandoor smell which makes you drool then n there!
If you're craving for some good variety of chicken, try their Chicken Platter. Totally worth the cost and amazing types of kebabs. But it takes a huge amount of time for them to bring something this delicious! :(
We also ordered Murg Dum Biryani, which comes in good quantity but it's like any other biryani, Â nothing special about that! Furthermore, we had Murg Akbari, Murg Lahori and Murg Matka for main course. They're all tangy and spicy dishes for the exception of Murg Matka but really tasty dishes all in all!Â
I like the food here but if they could just speed up the service a bit, it'll  be an ideal place to enjoy Mughlai food! The ambiance has nothing special about it and it's a bit crammed up too I feel. So my suggestion to the restaurant is if you have more people coming in, try to bring in more people to serve as well!
The food quality is decent here, not that costly. One thing I loved about them is the combos that they have customized, makes it worth for 2-3 people. They could have done better business if they'd have maintained the quality-quantity relationship.
Ohhk to begain with nice ambiance.. Great food bt lazy service.. A complete value for money place with nice food... All d sweetdishes r nice.. Plus great chicken nd mutton..!! A must try
I visited Mughal darbar last week for a friends farewell party, and have to admit that their food quality was better than I anticipated. The ambiance is good too and you feel like you're suddenly in touch with Arabian culture (Not sure what the culture should be called, but the jhoomar and the lantern made me feel like that).
We started by ordering Paneer Lahori tikka. The tikka was pretty good and tangy. And the paneer was really soft and I loved the way it tasted. Next we ordered Harabhara kebab, and the moment I put the first piece in my mouth, the only word that came to my mind was Great!!!. The kebab was soft, crispy and tasted very good. I'd definitely suggest everyone to try it.
After the starters, we ordered main course. Daal makhani was great and one of the finest I've eaten in Pune. Veg Akbari was very decent, but it was overshadowed by the wonderful Paneer Lehsuni. The quality of the paneer was again fantastic and I absolutely loved it. The vegetables were served in decent quantity as well, and definitely provide value for money.
Garlic naan was really amazing. I've been to places where they put couple of pieces in a naan and declare it as Garlic naan, but not this place. There won't be a single bite that you'll take that won't taste of garlic. However, if you're not a huge garlic lover, then you might not enjoy it that much.
Veg biryani was decent, and Jeera rice were good. After the main course we ordered Shahi tukda in desert and it tasted great too. I am not sure how the tukda should actually taste, but the one they serve is definitely worth ordering.
The service is pretty good and the waiters are always nearby. One more thing I liked about this place was that they know when to replace the plates. You won't have to remind them again and again about your place being used. They change them after every single dish you order.
visited this place with my brother... must say nyc place... dining experience was fine... and the waiters wer also responsive.. had nyc tym... lazeez murgh handi was nyc... shud visit ds place once :)

Visited the place with my colleagues. It's was a very good experience.. Amazing food.. Must try paya soup and Shahi Tukda.. Overall we had a amazing food experience. Ambience is not good though.
It was a blissful experience. It was a Saturday evening and I wanted to be away from rush. I stepped into mughal darbar, it was a hush hush enviroment. There were no guest we took a corner table. And ordered for a shorba. The shorba was great, appropriatley spicy. For mains we ordered chi lahori which was also very well coocked. If you go here try shahi tukda dor desert.
We landed at Mughal darbar on a sunday late in the afternoon in search of food (which is quite difficult at 3.30 pm). We were greeted with amazing aromas which assured us of good food. Mughal darbar is a descent family restaurant, not anything posh but a descent place to enjoy with friends and family. Coming to the most important aspect, THE FOOD, we ordered for murgh dahiwala and murgh matka with butter naan. The food is really good but the quantity is not something I can swear by. Murgh dahiwala was perfect combination of yogurt, mild spices and a smooth gravy with no clove or any garam masala disturbing your taste buds with abrupt flavours, a perfect combination of mild but delicious gravy. However i wish i could say the same about the chicken which did not taste as fresh as it should, probably because we were quite late for a lunch and too too early for a dinner. Murgh matka was just perfect, it was spicy and delicious to say the least with fresh chicken pieces. The naans were huge and were more than enough quantity wise unlike the chicken dishes. The food was good, service was descent but I highly recommend them to change their PLATES, A plate should serve the purpose of comfortably accommodating your food but here the food was inconveniently lying on the plate. Overall it was a good experience and i would definitely recommend this place.
Food was tasty but still can be improved. Chicken tandoori was good but comparatively less spices and masala on it than other restaurants. What I liked was chicken shorba, perfectly cooked chicken pieces but some spice added to it was very dominating. Same in case of chicken akbari, if less spice(the dominating one) added then it would taste very good.
Some concerns: The smoke from their kitchen was filling the main dining area which was somewhat irritating. Please look into that. And one more important thing, they added 4-5% tax in the bill which was very disappointing.

Tried the Home delivery!
Ordering Daal makhani, Murg Musallam and a suggested order by the host taking our order on the phone.
As a delite who has a strong taste bud for North Indian, my pallate was decently satisfied.
Decent food to make one's Mughalai taste buds happy :)
As the name suggests they have tried their best to create an ambience of the mughal era with glass jhumars etc but unfortunately the effort is half hearted and reflects on the interiors . Anyways the menu has alot if muglai dishes to choose from.....we decided to try out the khadai chaap with butter naans. The dish was very tasty , low on oil ,chilli n spices just the right amount ....The mutton was tender and the naan was made well . We enjoyed our meal quite a bit . They just need to liven up the interiors and improve on the service a bit....the place looks gloomy. Will surely go back and try the chicken this time .....iv given it a 4.0 rating purely based on the food !!!
Well, it was tasty alright. Ambiance is..Well..confusing.
First you have this really low ceiling upstairs. And it looks rather shoddy. Then they give exquisite looking cutlery and dishes. Pretty good stuff.
Quantity was kinda off putting though. I could do with more food for that much money.
Food was top quality. Right from starters to main course concluding at deserts, all was great. The only point that could need to be worked upon is the serving time. If one has to wait for too long, the charm n enthusiasm could diminish !!
We went there on Valentine's Day. vegetable kadai sabzi was fantastic. Little extra spicy wud hv made it taste better. chicken Briyani was good. Chicken Gravy is missing. Ambience was good . Service was fast enough as not crowded then. Nice experience .
Come Sunday and its time for Mughal Darbar!
Reaching here is pretty easy; its on the main street. Parking is an issue!
We basically came here for the Galauti Kebabs, everything else was just a charade. The restaurant is pretty small to be honest. It initially gives a feel of being a huge restaurant and then you realize that its the naughty mirror that guises the reflection as an extended portion of the restaurant. The interiors are mostly wooded but there is nothing much else to suggest that the place specializes in Mughlai cuisine.
The moment we sat down an attendant suggested we try the fish since its special today. We were a tab perplexed! Mughlai and fish? Never mind nothing could deter us from eating Galauti Kebabs today. We went through the menu just to have a glimpse and with much gusto ordered Galauti Kebabs beaming with a bellyful of hunger. The heavens fell apart when the attendant told us that there were no galauti kebabs today. Honestly nothing else held any interest any more! Sigh the anticipation killed it. Anyhow we ordered Hara bhara kebab and Lasooni Paneer out of sheer courtesy. Surprisingly both were delicious! Hara Bhara kebab though seemed a tad too green but it was yummy. They were served with green chutney and garlic onions. Lasooni paneer was awesome. Both surpassed our expectations to be honest. However, nothing could redeem us from the disappointment of not having galauti kebabs and we fled (of course after paying) :)
Overall:
Food: 7.5/10
Ambiance: 8/10
Accessibility: 7/10
Service: 7/10
Overall Experience: 7.5/10
Would I recommend: Oh yes. I would go there again once and this time with lesser anticipation :)
Budget friendly place. (VAT is inclusive) nice way of serving food they have this authentic steel plates. Nice food and located right in mid of kalyani nagar.
Had an great eating for the second time at this outlet.
Had Chicken Lahori in Green Chilly. Make sure you clear the dusty utensils before starting
Ambience - you feel Royal eating !
Best place to have mughlai food staff is vry sweet and helpful the food is amazing the phirni was delicious.. love the kababs and loved the place
I had mutton and seafood at mughal darbar the food was very good.....so was the service the only problem was the ambience is very suffocating and I did not like the phirni....
This is located at a prime location in Kalyani Nagar. I have been there once and ordered food couple of times.
Ambience is good and so is the food. They have taste which is quit similar to Marrakesh restaurants.
Overall, great!
Great restaurant that has nice food in non veg. Chicken sabjis here are very good. Mughal names and taste is also very good.
Just love it.
Food is kind of tasty but not a place for sitting.
Their services are just amzng.
