Excellent soya chap, Khalsa is the place.People are the one who matter and I found the person to be genuine and wonderful...
Must try for vegetarians. Even if you are non-veg, like me, the food here tastes delicious. Highly recommend the chaap.
Must visit place if you are fan of Soya chaap. Offers a good variety of starters and gravy. Taste and service are both awesome. Prices are also reasonable.
Fell in love with their menu first of all a variety of soya chaps and paneer tikka. I have tried soya chaaps at many reputed places but the taste here was way too different and was too yummy. The quantity was as per the price. Both matched and it is highly recommended to try their malai chaap. Loved it completely 🤘❤💖👌
# Zomaland
Cost -₹150
Loveeeeed the chaap. Had heard a lot about it finally tried it in the zomato fest
Does not taste like soya at all . One of the best thing I had in the fest . It’s a mix of spicy tangy flavour
Must must must try dish
Happened to visit this place on the recommendation of my friend Ruchir Sathe. He has been visiting this place frequently. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. The paneer literally melts your mouth and it is probably the best paneer I've ever eaten. We decided not to go for the main course and instead relish the chaaps. We ordered the Malai Chaap, Garlic Chaap and the Paneer Chaap. I love my chicken. But for the first time, I thoroughly enjoyed eating a complete vegetarian meal.
The beautiful place they serve the best stater soya cheeps in town service is really good mung dal halwa it was fabulous they are served mini thali it was really great ambiance was superb staff is very friendly thanks khalsa pure veg Team keep it up 👍👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊😊
Totally in love with veg food.. Garlic naan.. With malai Chaap.. Waooo amazing yummieeeee.. A small. Suggestion.. If the quantity for half portion could increase.. Else.. It has amazing taste, flavour.. Fresh..
Awesome & Authentic Punjabi Food. Sarso the saag, Soya Chaap, Veg Kebbab and special shanshahi Patathas. Really value for money. But place is not much appropriate as their food.
I went to this place on my birthday and amused to find that there's small shop in Khadki which had this kind of good reviews and ratings on social media. And to my surprise, I enjoyed the taste a lot at this food chain. There's nothing ambience kinda thing but tasty food absolutely makes it worth a visit.
If the paneer just dissolves in your mouth then you know you are having yummy food.
This place is all about starters from paneer tikka to malai chaap.Amazing preparation along with tasty chutney.
Briyani can be avoided...Was not happy after having all the delicious starters.
I love this place love the road side ambience and yes love to have soya chaps on vegan days. Best place. Amazing taste good service and best place
As a vegetarian ,have you always wondered why non vegetarians love barbequed food ?
Voila !!Khalsa gives you the answer with their fantastic range of chaaps (soya) and paneer barbeques .
I tried their reshmi chaaps ,Malai chaaps and panner Malai and panner reehmi tikkas and they were just perfect .Succulent chunks of paneer and soya served with mint chutney and drizzled with cream .Khalsa has perfected vegetarian barbeque options .
Coming to the main course I tried their lacha paratha thali .The sabji and dal portions were generous and the parathas were the right combination of crispy and soft served with ample makhan .
The moong dal halwa served with the thali was delicious too just the right amount of sweet and gooey.
All in all a good experience .Keeping you coming back for more.
Cost wise just right for the quantity of food and taste.
Only minus is the zero ambience of the joint .But then there's always take out:)
Best north indian food I've ever had in Pune !! here you'll get the Best paneer and soya chaaps .
I would recommend .
1. reshmi paneer tikka
2. reshmi paneer chaap
3. malai paneer tikka
4. malai paneer chaap
5. schezwan paneer chaap (new addition)
6. aloo paratha
Love the paneer it's amazing.....the pure Delhi style paneer ❤️❤️❤️❤️..we had ordered chap wow it's just yummy...the best chaap in pune.....a must visit place....
You will never know that veg food can be super tasty unless you taste it here. Their Paneer is a must eat they claim that it comes from punjab and truly it comes coz the softness of the Paneer is heavenly. Also must try is their Reshmi chap super soft tasty which yiu will never forget.

8. Mong dal halwa
Believe me you won’t regret it ,
This place is absolute LOVE
An Ultimate place to satisfy your carving for the tangy Desi Punjabi food. A small joint situated on a chowpaaty amidst Khadki Bazaar. The place is a tiny shop with a 20 people sitting arrangement outside of it, by the look of it may not seem great, but trust me the food will make you eat your fingers.
Food:
We tried - Malai Panner Tikka & Reshami Chaap for starters. I must say you wouldn't have tasted such an amazing Chaap anywhere in Pune. They have some secret masala recipe, which btw many competitors have tried to crack, making it even more wanting.
The starters where followed by the Malai Gravy Chaap and Laccha Paratha topped with pure homemade white makkhan. The fragrance of the Makkhan dissolving on the Paratha just transports you to another world.
The dinner ended with a sweet surprise of Moong Daal Ka Halwa made in Pure ghee. (You wint find it in the menu, just ask for it). The best part was it is freshly prepared and served every time you order.
Service:
You will find the same hospitality here from the owner to the staff is exceptional. The owner makes sure you like the food and there is no case you leave the place hungry.
To sum it up, its very rare to find such Authentic food joints amidst such big food places. But when you find it, it just becomes your anytime food option when you crave for lip smacking authentic foods.
The barbeque is mostly available for non vegetarian but the barbeque for Veg people is in this place. It is soo yummyyy.. 😍 The paneer is soo soft here 😍 Paneer chaap.. Malai Paneer Chap are just Awesome. The Roti sabji are also tasty. Proper Punjabi food is available here . Paratha is also tasty. A slight costy but sometimes itsokay for good taste ,😍
I visited KHALSA -(Pure Veg), I must say this restaurant has a unique taste. I enjoy the food ( Reshmi chaap and Veg fish chaap) and here is my rating.
Food taste - 5/5
Value of money -3.5/5 - ( Price is high compared to quantity)
Ambience - 2/5 ( Roadside seating arrangement, less hygienic and lots of mosquitos )
Over All - 3.5/5
The paneer is the best I've ever eaten, out of this world! I've had their malai paneer Tikka and soya chaap tandoori. They claim that the paneer comes from punjab ( believable because it is soo good). Street food ambience, nothing fancy but seems like authentic punjabi food. Definitely recommended.
Bhagyendrasinh Chudasama (Baggy)
+4
They serve the best soya chaaps in town. In fact everything they serve is really very good. Their parathas, mini thalis and chole bathure are value for money.
The moong dal halwa is fabulous and a must try.
Khalsa pure veg
This place is located in Khadki near ganpati temple. Looking at the photos u must be thinking it’s a non-vegetarian hotel but it’s a pure vegetarian hotel. It’s a small hotel and Ambience is not so good and looks a little bit unhigenic. Coming to the food, We had Thali, Shen Shahi Paratha, Hariyali Chaaps and Veg Soya Lollypop the taste was not so good.
Khalsa veg is a place to go when you want to fulfill punjabi food cravings. Food here is always great. Owner always suggests some good options to try. Amritsari naan is very yummy😋. I tried one paneer & one soya chaap both were very tasty. Chutney served with chaap n naan was also good. Overall good place to have great food with normal sitting.
We visited this place on a busy weekend.. there was allot of rush as it has many other food joints located next to each other.. we managed to get a seating for 5 ppl as soon as we reached there.. The owner welcomed us and suggested few awesome starters.. We ordered achari Paneer tikka chaap, malai tikka chaap and few more starters.. Order was served to us very much in time and it turned out to be outstanding.. We had makke the Roti and Sarso da saag in the main course.. Truly, the chaaps were more interesting than the main course.. The taste, preparation, serving, garnishing of the starters was just mind blowing.. even though this restaurant doesn’t have a fascinating ambience.. do go there to taste the lovely chaaps..!!
Must try chaamp and paneer Tikka. The hospitality is amazing. The owner will ask you to try different stuffs just to taste and does not charge anything. Biryani is also good. Mithi roti is complimentary on first visit.
This is an outdoor seating place with various food outlets around it. Famous for its chaaps, we ordered Reshmi Chaap and achari paneer tikka. Both were very nice and tasty with lots of flavours. Then for main course we ordered one Amritsari Naan and Amritsari Kulcha Thali. They were nothing but an utter disappointment. Salt level in Dal, rajma and paneer sabji was very high and almost inedible. Complained about it to the staff but somehow it felt like they didn't care. Finally we were forced to have naan and Kulcha with curd and chutney.
Soya Chaap is Yum 😋😋
All the items and food is really tasty. Love it 😋😋😋
Soya lollipop, Malai Chaap and garlic Chaap is really tasty.
Dal makhani, gajar ka halwa, and biryani is really awesome.
Best punjabi food had in pune. We tries chap, sarson da saag and makke di roti... very very authentic.
Owner is also very warm person.. must try
Awesome test. We are non vegetarian lovers but here
veg starters and Biryani is just mind blowing more testier than Nov veg food I have ever had. Ambience is not that good but can compromise to have such tasty food.
I am vegetarian who used to be die hard chicken kebab fan. I turned vegetarian 6 years back and since then what I missed the most were the kebabs. No matter how many restaurants I tried, I don't think I enjoyed the veg kebabs as I used to the chicken counter parts. However Khalsa changed it all. Its my 4 visit in the past one week and I can say I have tried most of their chaaps and kebabs. The reshmi chaap, haryali paneer tikka, malai paneer tikka and the cheese stuffed chaap are my favs. Are they expensive for their location Yes but I am totally fine with it since they have completely made up for it in the taste and quality of their food. My fish and chicken loving family is also raving about their kebabs :)
A must go for all food lovers.
Please do not think of your diet routine if you visit here.
Chaap varieties, Shahenshaahi Paratha varieties & sweet dishe.. all excellent.
You will leave this place with a smile for sure.
To begin with, I am a die hard non-veg fan. One of those people who take pity on vegetarians for not eating kebabs and missing out on major foodgasm. You see this place and it's written in the big font "100% veg". Then the next thing you see are kebab like skewers hanging. Coming to food, we ordered
1.Reshmi chaap: This was amazing. If I could rate it beyond 5 i would give it 7/5 rating. Finger liking good. I didn't miss chicken at all while having this. So well cooked and the masala in which it was cooked was delicious. A must try!!
2.Kulcha Thali: If you see the picture you would know they serve this humongous thali just at Rs 200/- . It consists of 2 Kulcha, curd, ride, dal, paneer sabji chana masala, pickle. A filling dish for someone with big apetitle. The kulchas were soft and tasty, chana masala sabji was really nice, Paneer sabji was little sweet (0.5 deducted for same). Curd was also thick and creamy. In all a complete meal at amazing price.I would defenitely visit this place once again to try their other chaaps. And highly recomende place, especially for all the vegeterians.
If you are craving for authentic Punjabi food DO VISIT!!! Loved it!!!,
Small place. Not a very good one for late night visits. But you can always take away food for home. And trust me it's worth it! Not at all hard on the wallet either.
If I could .. would eat it everyday.
Will visit again for their Makki ki Roti and sarson ka saag.
had been there for dinner. we visited first so owner recommended us there speciality of there which is malai paneer and reshmi chaap. We hv taken half only but its quite heavy. Taste is extremely good. As i am pure vegetarian so it gives me immense pleasure to get so tempting and tasty starters. Full marks for chaap.
5/5
Then we ordered biryani..that is where we get disappointed. Rice was too soggy. Taste also not good at all.
2/5
As this is winter so dessert must b there after this. We ordered Mung dal halwa. Which is ok. Not great taste.
3.5/5
But overall experience is good. Owner himself come n ask us about taste which is rarely seen in restaurants. He is polite n talkative. Service is fast. Ambience could have been better.
Overall experience is good
Chaap must try
Quite expensive but for chaap is vfm definately.
How could veg taste sooooo delicious. .....
Oh man .......KPV it have changed my perspective
taste is dope man ...... must try is rashmi chap, crispy chop both were superb obviously those were owners recommended and really enjoyed it.
Keep rocking sirji
Mzn
Dropped in here for the 2nd time in a few months for some hardcore Tandoori-Shandoori. The unpretentious menu offers you tandoor in 3 bases-paneer, chaap (made of soy) and mushroom. We ordered half portions of the Malai and Reshmi Paneer tikka alongwith another half of the Reshmi Chaap.
The Paneer did not disappoint and for Chaap fans, i doubt anyone can do a better job than these guys in Pune.
Paneer was excellent quality, the marinade nice and creamy, hot and well done. The Chaap too was yum, and would be my choice simply because it felt a tad lighter on the tummy.
Despite eating so much, we egged ourselves on to some yum Aloo Paratha and Amritsari Naan. Aloo Paratha was whole wheat, rightly spiced and served with blobs of makhan, dahi and a lovely chilli garlic chutney.
The Naan was great too, hot, well done, with a slight Paneer stuffing. We ordered a Dal Makhani too, but next time, I'd pass.
Finished off with a mildly sweet Moong Dal Halwa recommended by the owner. All in all, an excellent meal, especially in the cool climate just starting up in Pune.
Burrrraaaah..Oye Chakde! Oye main kya, Inka khana kha ke maza aagaya oye yaaar..
After eating from here, this was my state..on the recommendation of the owner of the outlet, i tried the Tawa Stuffed Gravy Chaap which was mind numbing to my food mind.. I can't stop raving about it. Next dish on the menu was the Amritsari Thali which was ok compared to the Chaap. I shall try some more dishes when I visit the next time.
Found this place on zomato only.
This was the first time I have ever had Soya Chaap and trust me the taste was real gooooooood😋😋😋
Though the place is not at a very good location and they have these small tables and chairs right outside their shop.
Also the price seemed to be bit higher than what other Chaap outlet offers but then the taste really matters because I have tried Soya Chaap at other places also(kothrud, wakad) but this one has the best Chaaps for your evening hunger 👍👍
Amazing flavours. I ordered the chaap and the Shenshah Cheese Paratha. And it was worth every penny. Trust me, it was sufficient enough for two.
This place is heaven for vegetarians. This is my second visit to this place.
They serve veg kabab, chaap, and other Punjabi food.
This time we try their reshmi paneer 5/5.
Test is very good . Full of flavours.
We talk with owner who is very nice person. And he personally take reviews from customers.
They use pure desi ghee.
Service is fast.
But very crowded place.
While I have taken parcels a few times, this was the 1st time got a chance to dine-in and have SOYA CHAAP, Dal Makhni along with butter naan.
Ambience-2/5 (lot has been writing, so will rest my thoughts here)
Service-3/5 (average, while the waiters and owners were greeting and meeting their regular customers, focus was not on first timers)
Food- 4/5 (reshmi Chaap was perfect blend of masalas and butter with cream, I have had better quality chaap else where though, Dal makhni- wow factor went really good with naan)
Will surely want to try paneer items and other verity of soya Chaap.
Home delivery should be preferred. Of course a MUST Visit/order for VEGETARIANS
PS:- very good looking pics got deleted by mistake 🤗
This place is typically known for its amazing Punjabi food! .. It's one of a kind place situated on the khadki chaupati , it's a little bit difficult to locate but easy to spot once you get into that area ! ... They offer a variety of dishes on the menu! So paneer lovers this might be a heaven for you.. It's a small place so don't expect much about the ambiance but the food that is served is worth it!.. The staff is quite slow , they really need to work about it... We ordered Reshmi malai paneer which literally melted in my mouth, also we had aloo paratha which was just the way an authentic paratha should taste; with loads of desi ghee and butter and lastly we ordered moong dal ka halwa which was the yummiest halwa I ever had!... It's a pure veg hotel with very hygienic food quality and amazing taste.. This place is a must visit for all north Indian food lovers ❤
A good place to have evening snacks....tried all soya chaaps here...delecious .. yummy
Must try.
Price is also ok.
Ambience cud hv been btr.
I would rate it overall 3.9... food is good and you will like it bcoz you dont have anything similar in vicinity of vimanNagar . I really loved the Veg lollypop and the soya chap, brings back your delhi memories. Hygiene can be improved.
Recommended by a friend for some delicious punjabi food.
This place is located on the chaupati at khadki, might be little tricky to locate. It has outside seating while the food will be made in front of you, not much to expect ambiance wise.
Coming to the important part, food here is amazing.
Paneer reshmi tikka is a must try. Paneer was melt in mouth, soft, marinated well and loaded with butter and cream. You can never have enough of it.
First time in my life I had a soya chap, that was pretty tasty as well and worth giving a try.
Main courses are quite good as well, although the options are quite limited. If you want something spicy , go for achari paneer gravy.
Dal makhni is also delicious here, had that punjabi touch to it.
Lachha parathas are a must have here. One paratha might not look too heavy but its more than enough to fill you till neck. Wait till you finish half of it before you order another one.
Best thing here is, the food is made in front of you, they use amul cream and home made butter in every item.
Its one of those hidden gems and I hope they will shift to a bigger and better dining space, maybe something like a dhaba.
Food: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Price: 3.5/5(450 for the order)
Order: soya malai chaap, paneer chaap, mashroom cheese chaap
Hits: Soya malai chaap
Misses: none
- one of the shop out of many in open area. From a distance, Most people will think that they are service kebab if they ignore the glittering sign board
- soya chaap almost tastes like chicken. It's really well done on barbecue
- quality of paneer is nice
After reading reviews on FB, went here for a solo dinner as I am a big Soya-Chap fan. Ordered the reshmi chap here (as I have already had enough of Achari and Afghani soya chap at Lahorie-Pimple Saudagar) and the biryani. The chap was made to perfection with the right amount of butter and grill.
The ingredients used were very fresh. The biryani was good too, with lots of masalaa, chap and paneer.
Only negative was the quantity of the chap, which was a bit less for the price charged.
Here I'm a long way from my hometown craving for some good Punjabi food and Khalsa Pure Veg made me feel I'm not away from home. If you want to have some good quality food, this place is a must visit. The taste of Paneer Tikka's and Chaap is amazing and heavenly. Daal Makhni and Paranthas are equally amazing and Moong Daal Halwa is a must to have.
If you are craving for some good Punjabi food, must visit this place.
Food - 5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Service - 4/5
Value for Money - 3/5
Its a visit to Heaven and back ( though you never want to come back) :)
Must try for vegetarians . Truly Extraordinary paneer and Soya preparations that just melts in your mouth and reaches your soul before reaching your stomach. They have a new branch in Viman Nagar too but my heart beats for Khadki Branch as somehow for the warmth we get there. The Person commonly known as Veer Ji comes with a smile , takes your order , comes again to ask if it is tasting good , listens to your feedback patiently and assures you to fulfil it by your next visit. I am going there all my life. Chak de phatte😋
Their soya chaap are simply mouth melting and perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection, even the owner makes sure to personally assist in suggesting their best items, a must visit for every veg lovers.
The paneer tikka's which are served here are the best i ever had anywhere.
Things which we had was
Malai paneer tikka
Hariyali paneer tikka
Reshmi chaap
Moong daal halwa
All were superb....
I went to buy paneer tikka only as i was aware of paneer tikka here is tasty compared to all type of tikka's available in that area but as the manager saw that i am foodiee and wanted me to taste his new item called as Chaap for the first time. I said thank you sir but next time i will. He said don't pay me if you don't like but do give me the review about this as chaap is famous in north India and all are not aware about this. So to taste i took half plate achari chaap. When i started eating chaap i said this is what i want to give me healthy n protein based food for my body because the receipe he told me was having all basic ingredient for your perfect diet i paid him and said i appreciate your initiative towards selling right person right product. From that day till today my family eats paneer / mushroom sometimes chaap and i always order half plate chapp and i also tried paratha's here so they are authentic parathas which are pocket friendly.
Thank you
KHALSA VEG .
khalsa veg is a place just 8-9 months year old . and it has already made a place in hearts of people .
the environment at this place is just really awesome .
It is always busy always crowded with people (ofcourse every one want to eat the chaap)
As we had a seat we were addressed by mr ajit singh (owner ).
this place seriously served you best food and best hospitality .
mr ajit singh specially ordered the food for us .
It will literally takes 5-10 mins for your food to come .
it was reshmi chaap and malai paneer .
RESHMI CHAAP : the taste has no words it was just awesome , chaap are made up of soya powder and it has the texture like that of chicken .
the taste was seriosly verry good .
MALAI PANEER TIKKA: here comes the hero .yeah seriously this is the hero out there . the paneer as told by mr ajit singh is brought from punjab .
yes seriously you can get the flavor of north. the paneer is so soft .it just melts in your mouth .
it is perfectly marinated with lots of spices . and the flavors just explodes in you mouth .
seriously a must try.
SHEHENSHAI PARATHA : this is a stuffed paratha which is topped with lot of grated cheese .
and was served with curd and chutney and home made butter . it was really tasty .

Yesterday been here....the place is not good but food was good also had too much variety in punjabi food...i ordered alo paratha but taste was not so good as per they charged from us , afgani chaap concept is intresting feels like having nonveg kabbabs with well decorated cream and chaat masala ...i think as per the ambiance they charged more on per plate ,cost is more effective than taste ....one time visit place
Group of 4 had been here. The dishes we were recommended and the orders were :
1.Malai Paneer (full) 5/5
2.soya chaap (full) 4/5
3.kheem Roll (half)3.5/5
4.dal makhani 2.5/5
5. Lacha paratha 2nos 5/5
6.veg pulao aka biryani (half) 4/5
7. Moong daal halwa 5/5
This street food joint is quick in serving ,for which every dish was served in new plates (not every restaurant changes plates for new dishes). Really like this place which is very pocket friendly.
After going through rave reviews about this place in all food columns , I decided to try it. Getting a 4 wheeler parking is a challenge since this is close to a busy street.
Seating could be inconvenient in monsoons considering its open seating and the area is cramped.
The turnover is huge and its always crowded. However, the owners are always there happy to have you as guest and carefully taking down orders themselves. We ordered aloo paratha and achari chaap which arrived soon and were gobbled up even sooner.
The dollop of cream added on top of the kebab added to the taste. The aloo paratha was so-so. There was too much dry cheese and it somehow did not complement the paratha well.

+4.5
Nice place to eat chouppati food.
Pure veg and delicious.
Must eat: resmi chap
You can njoi lot of starters, which are generally not available in markert for vegeterian people.
I visited this place accidentally. Was returning from Kalyaninanagar office on a Friday night. Starved for food since afternoon. My plans for dinner out got cancelled due to sudden heavy rains. To add to this, cell battery drained out.
With a very optimistic mind, I dared to stop my car close to Auto stand at Khadki. I wasnt expecting anything apart from Bhurji-Paav or Pulav. I remembered reading reviews of khalsa which is close to khadki. I wish i could check location from mobile.
Bingo ! After crossing few freshwater ponds, I was at KHALSA !!! God is great. :-)
Scanned menu in seconds and ordered Biryani. Asked for water. I could see owner (I assumed and later confirmed) sitting next to my table. The temporary shelter arrangement done was nice. Saw it rarely at roadside eateries.
After 10 minutes, asked for water twice. The owner and staff had some discussion about sourcing water from outside and after 15 minutes I got water.
Then followed biryani. its the first time in my life, I have paid/ordered veg biryani. Loved the spices and entire combination. I like soya but not with rice. Paneer was so soft. Portions of rice, masala and soya/paneer were just perfect.
Please improve your service. For me, the rates are higher. at Khalsa Pricing is subjective hence just putting my views. Somebody's need is somebody's luxury. :)
Summary : Khalsa helped me to realize that even veg biryani is good sometimes. No offence meant.
We were planning from last 2 months and finally visited this awesome place today and as like everyone is praising the team for marvelous lip smacking food and ultimate hospitality, I would also like to share the same.
With so humble owner and staff this place is serving you the best north indian food in town .From my last 3 year experience of Pune I would say that I finally found amazing food taste and quality here .
Thank you Sir for serving us this finger licking, yummy food.
Please try to open your branch near Aundh ,Baner Vishal Nagar,Pimple Saudagar.
Well, only if Zomato had the option of giving more then 5 stars to any restaurant. If there is a heaven for veg food lovers, it definitely has Khalsa pure veg in it. Dont expect a very sophisticated interior here, just come and have some of the best veg food on earth. We ordered malai paneer tikka here as suggested by owner, and mark my words guys, it will be one of your life's best.. the next item was Soya chap and it was also very good. Speciality of this place, The Amritsari naan, was perfect and couldn't have asked for more. The paneer stuffed giant Amritsari naan were cooked to perfection. Mushroom masala was also good. Dal makhni is a must try here. We felt that every item coming was a bit better than previous one. In love with the place and will definitely go here again and again.
PS: Dear vegetarians, please take your non veg loving friends here, who always taunt you with "Veg me hai hi kya khane me". Pretty sure they won't say this again to you after visiting this place for once..
So guyz... I am from Delhi and I have got a taste buds too that hunt for the aroma and taste of the food that it originally belongs to and famous for.
So chaap is a dish which can not be the cup of Everyone's tea. .and every restaurant can not master it.
But you can rely on Punjabi if he is running that tandoor for you.
I found this joint by google baba.. And followed my GPS up-to their corner.
They have got lip-smacking chaap variety, for which I was craving for and found almost close to taste.
Atleast best in Pune..
Rashmi cheap and achari Chaap are my favorites.
Yet they do have paneer dish as well but nahhh!! it was not up-to that mark.
They, have common gravy for the paneer dish and I didn't find it that amazing even.
So let's concentrate this joint for chaaps then.
Loved the Reshmi chaap!! Had read a lot of good reviews on social media platforms and decided to give it a try. It definitely lived up to my expectations!!
The food is delicious and terrific...the hospitality is awesome. The owners give personal attention and suggest u the best dishes they have...paneer they say is brought from Chandigarh everyday and it melts in mouth. We had Rashmi chap, malai paneer tikka and chap roll. One word- yummylicious. A must try
Must visit this food joint. Awesome place to dine. Fast service. Authentic veg grilled paneer roll, scrumptious biryani, mast moong dal dessert and superb service by owner himself.
After reading rave reviews about this place, I decided to visit Khalsa Pure Veg last sunday even though it was a good 11 kms from my place near Kirloskar in Khadki.
#Ambience
They just have under 10 number of tables placed under open sky. So there is not much to speak of the ambience.
#Service
When we reached, it was waiting for about 15 persons. But luckily we did not have to wait for very long. We got seated and placed our order. The negative point we observed was that there was no water served to customers and we had to buy a mineral water bottle if needed.
We placed the order for Achari Paneer Tikka, Afghani Chaap, Malai Paneer Gravy (all half plates) and Lachcha Paratha.
The food arrived in around 10-15 minutes.
Achari Paneer Tikka- It was so tempting by its looks that anyone could get a foodgasm.
Fresh and soft Paneer Tikka pieces charred to perfection loaded with fresh cream, onion , capsicum and green chutney. The taste was heavenly.
Afghani Chaap- I have never had something to eat of this kind. It was tasting quite different and delectable. It was also topped with cream, onion, capsicum and green chutney.
Malai Paneer Gravy- This was another visual spectacle which would make any foodie feel weak in the knees. Rich and thick delicious gravy , dark red in colour and topped with cream.
The taste was blissful and we totally loved it.
Lachcha Paratha- This was one of the best lachcha parathas I have had(it was the made of wheat and not maida). It was topped with home-made white butter which again was out of this world.
The total bill including a water bottle and a bottle of thumsup was 660 INR.
I believe, if two people go to this place, then one should order either 2 half plate of starters or (half plate starter and half plate main course with bread) to fill the tummy because the food is rich and you get full with less quantity itself.
Food- 4.5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Service - 4/5
VFM - 4.5/5
Had an awesome outdoor snacky dinner... With Reshmi chaap nd paneer Malai tikka which is also in list of must haves by many been there... Because it was our first visit the owner taking the order personally helped us build d order... We also tried their Amritsari naan which was super as well... At d end they offered mithi roti small peda size whch was complimentary... He also insisted if he shud pack 2-3 more mithi rotis for us but we content nd full 😇
Rating 4.5 as ambience needs a major change... The area nearby stinks nd for this kind of awesome North Indian food and Superb service they deserve a better place... May their business flourish nd they make this happen soon too... One more thing TAT from order was Superb too 🙋
If you are looking for awesome street food, I believe your search is over. This is the greatest place in Pune that serves extremely delicious veg (paneer) dishes.
The seasoning done by the cooks will really make you wonder if you are at a street food corner or a starred hotel.
The owner of the place is extremely friendly and generous to give some complementary items such as "Meethi Roti" and Veg Biryani
Such hospitality really made me feel at home.
If you are vegetarian this is like the house of worship for you.
If you are non-vegetarian, I really urge you to try out this place as the taste here will make you forget all about the non veg food you have had up until now.
Hats 🎩 off to the finest cooks 👨🏻🍳 at this place.
Just back from here....Couldn't resist myself from putting my reviews right away.
Taste is just awesome. Each and every bite was like heaven.
We had Paneer Chaap, Reshmi Chaap, Stuff Chaap, Mushroom Dry, Veg Keema, Amirtsari Nan and Onion Paratha.
Each item was filled with lots of Desi Ghee/ Makkhan.
Don't expect good ambience but it doesn't matter when there is such great food in front of you. Words are not enough to describe my experience there.
Not just food but hospitality was equally great. They were suggesting and insisting us to try many other delicious food.
Finally when there was no space left in our stomach, we were treated with small portion of Biryani and Meethi Roti as dessert.😀
Khalsa veg is not a place to have food but an experience which everyone should have.
This was one of those rare finds of foodie gems hidden in some obscure location. Although the pictures on social media were graphic enough to entice us into this food adventure, nothing had prepared us for the absolutely stunning experience.
For people looking for fine ambience or decor, simply make other plans. And for others who only dwell in good taste and warm service, ok no further.
We had several paneer and soya dishes and also tried the Amritsari naan. We were bowled over by each of the preparations. The paneer and the soya protein (tofu?) was apparently sourced all the way from Punjab as per the owner. I would love to believe him because the consistency and softness was something i havent seen in this town ever. You could feel the chunks melt in your mouth and whats more each bite was full of flavour as against the usual lack of marination in paneer dishes.
The meal was finished with a plate of complementary mithi roti which kind of warmed us to this place even more. A strong recommendation to visit this place.
The food is amazing chap is awesome. Must try the dal makhni too. Owers are very nice humble and down to earth always ready to provide there suggeations always on their toes. Must visit......no need to write long review visit and you will love the food and attitude of owners...enjoy
Fabulous food. Uncle is the best! Extremely passionate about feeding people and just makes the experience absolutely lovely. Would definitely recommend anyone.
Fantastic quality of food. Malai paneer, reshmi chaap, mushroom stuff yum. Only scope of improvement would be in cleaning the tables and something to take care of mosquitoes. Otherwise a must visit
I went there today with my family after having a long day in imagica. The food was absolutely amazing. If u want to have typical Punjabi food this is the place to go. We ordered grilled malaise paneer tikka and soya chums. Those dishes were delicious. Especially the paneer was very soft. For main course we had Amritsari naan , lacha paratha , Dal makhini and kheema ka dish. All the things were outstanding. Would love to go to this place again.
Chaap is so delicious and mouth-watering.
Service is too good.
They serve complimentary sweet also.
Will add in my favorite list
This visit was unexpected and unplanned.
I never expected such a drive through experience.
I agree I have always been vocal about good food however this time I am sharing my roadside food experience. Yes, this was awesome
As always I have been a critic however this experience couldn't stop me from appreciating the food and most important the way I was treated.
Ideally when you are on a run, you don't expect much and so did I.
I was in a hurry and my family was hungry
I requested some good soya Or mushroom chap however in return I got an awesome suggestion and a friendly welcome. I guess he was a owner or someone responsible from the food joint, he suggested a dish which I can eat even after 6 hours and to my surprise it was true. I am writing this review as I eat. It is awesome.
People, I strongly recommend this food joint. You will forget non veg. I am a hardcore nonveg however this food made me fall in love
Best part, while I was waiting for the order, this gentleman served me halwa as a taster and trust me this was super super super awesome.
Thanks guys for your awesome food and hospitality and I am surprised how are you still in this area. Get some more franchisees.
People like me who are food lovers will hawk to your joint.
PS: Thank you for your hospitality to a tired man with awesome food. God bless you.
More than just a roadside eatery, this place dishes out the most yummy and delectable Chaps. Several options are available and each one is quite unique and delicious.
The Paneer tikka roll is also HUGE !! The Paneer is very tender and juicy and the chu ks are extra large size with one roll enough for a meal in itself.
A must try option in the Pune food circuit !
This was my first time to visit this place and I was so impressed and satisfied with the food.
It’s a small hotel offering a variety of non-veg lookalike food made from veg ingredients.
Must try the Reshmi chaap, Malayi chaap and KFC lollipop.
9/10 recommended!!
This place never fails to impress. Khalsa Veg -Khadki - One of the best places for Chaaps and tandoori items. It's the Delhi taste in Pune.
The location is just opposite Khadki Main Bazar. I visited them recently with my mom during Diwali. Extremely tired after shopping, we wanted to hog on something chatpata and filling.
Ordered one malai chaap and the latest #Veg_Fish_Koliwada chaap - Yea quite ironical for a veg chaap to be called *Koliwada fish* but the outer covering of the tikka and the masala are exactly similar in taste to the koliwada fish tikka. Extremely delicious and highly addictive, you just can't stop at one . I am a Hardcore nonvegtrn and couldn't believe that a pure vegetarian dish could be this intriguing. Loved it
The #Malai_chaap was amazing too. Both the Chaaps loaded by amul Cream ( dnt even think of calories while having this just relish the goodness ) They sprinkle some secret masala on all thier Chaaps which is outstanding.
We also tried thier #Veg_Kulcha_Thali tahts extremely gigantic with good portions of panner makhani, daal makhani and Kadi. This could be easily polished off by 2 people with good appetite. After this heavy meal the #Moong_daal_Halva in the Thali was a perfect ending. Not too sweet the way I like it loaded with dry fruits . Winters and this halva are sucha perfect match. #Highly_Recommended
Overall Superb Quality✅
VFM ✅
Extremely Filling Quantity ✅
Rupinder Chadha Take a bow friend, Khalsa Veg has left no stone unturned in satisfying people with awesome food.
This is probably the best Chaap place in entire Pune. It is not very commonly known but the taste here is unmatched. The place is run by a very humble punjabi uncle.
Chaap is their best offering imo. Unmatched taste and quality.
Do try their Fish Cut Chaap (crispy and spicy), Schezwan Chaap. These are very different from the regular afgani and masala chaap we commonly get elsewhere.
Finish it off with their moong dal halwa. It will take you back to your home regardless of wherever you're natively from !
Must m try the chap here. Made from Soya beans and pure veg.
I tried veg lollipop
Food taste is awesome. All type of starters that too vegetarian. Ambience is ok as it is situated roadside like street food.
Amazing Soya Chaap I ever had in Pune. Must haves include Reshmi Tikka and Moong Dal halwa.
I ate my First Soaya chaap here. I liked it as soon as i had first bite. After first time i went to this hotel for almost 7/8 times. I took all my friends there and they also liked it.
You must visit for one of the good Chaap experience.
Best place for vegitarian foodies. Various variety of paratha. Must vist to try paneer and soya chal dishes. We ordered Amritsar nana taste was too good and size of it was also big. Ower is also friendly and helps to choose dishes as per the requirement.
Fantastic experience. Authentic chap at reasonable rates. Paji is very customer friendly and takes care of their choice and taste. Don't expect a classy decor or highest standards of hygiene. It's a road side eatery and not a restaurant. All malai chaps are fabulous in taste. Must try paneer tikka malai chap... It just melts in the mouth. Way too better then any other outlet in whole Pune.
khalsa veg Foods is very tasty & services are unbelievable. awesome! I like it.
Reshmi Chaap is their best dish! Of course Garlic Chaap or Chaap Biryani or Garlic Paneer will also come real close. Veg Fish Tikka gives you a good feel of eating fish too.
Superb food.one of the best soya chap place from Pune.
Very good quality and tasty food place.
