We enjoying visiting this place when we are at East Street, became quite regular customers when it opened. The place is not very huge but whenever we have visited, is not full crowded either.
Here are some of our recommendations:
•Murg Malai Tikka - For those who love that charred creamy chicken taste
•Afghani Tandoori Murg - The first time I tried this dish, very impressed! We took the Half and were served two chicken legs with thighs. This may seem a little pricey but the taste is worth it.
•Gosht Muglai is another dish that we enjoy at Mughal's.
•Gosht Dum biryani and Mutton biryani are both good! On some visits, the rice has been slightly overcooked which breaks the Basmati rice, but the true flavours of biryani are always present in both the chicken and mutton versions.
The service is decent and the staff is courteous. Will definitely visit again! :)
We are a regular visitor of this place.
They serve the best mutton dalcha khaana.
One should also try the shahi tukada.
Also the chicken and mutton starters are good.
Also the ambience is pretty with high ceilings and the historically painted walls.
A medium size restaurant located on East street who's butter chicken and cheese garlic nan is my son's favourite... he can have that five times a week ... we usually get it home delivered ... awesome food must try
Mughals platter is an excellent option... Laccha paratha i was expecting of maida... But it was of wheat flour... And it was yum. If you want to try different taste for the gravy try mughal e nizami... Flavours were good.
Amazing food . Especially Dum Ka Murg. Juicy chicken. Double ka meetha in deserts. Too good. Staff is also polite. My favourite place for non veg food. Chicken biryani is average in taste. 5 star rating from me.
Good non vegetarian food .. especially their paya shorba and Nalli nihari are a must try ! However, portion size is less for the cost of the dishes. And, they don't have power backup so when there is power cut, you may have to savor your food drenching in sweat.

2) Murg Dum Biryani
The Aroma was so yummy that i could not resist eating first. The rice was perfectly cooked and the Masala and chicken soft and fresh . Best biryani I ever ate.
3) Decided to have the Caramel Custard

Visited Mughals today, as name suggests this place has speciality in Mughlai Cuisine, a nice place not too big not too cluttered...
We enquired for a bit spicy kebab starter, captain suggested for Mysuru Kebab a chef special, it was delicious, served in red preparation, nice spicy tender dish loved it... highly recommended !!
For main course we tried Murg Rogan Josh, a nice medium spicy curry served with nicely cooked chicken with makkhan kulcha, it was nice combination... curry also went well with steamed rice...
Only suggestion I would like to give is to have bit more options in soup section and kulcha could have been spent more time in tandoor... to make it more crispy...

Visited this place after quite a while (and after some not so good experiences) and was pleasantly surprised atleast by their food which seems to have found its lost magic back. We ordered Mutton Rogan Josh and Garlic Naan. Delicious combo. Their mutton is indeed special, succulent and juicy. Garlic naan is also great and is my choice of bread at this place. Icing on the cake was their Double ka Meetha. Sinfully tasty. Forgot about my triglyceride levels while relishing this masterpiece from their kitchen.
On another visit, we ordered Mutton Rara. Infact, they suggested this dish when we said we want something on the less spicy side. I will say that this dish was above average, although they said it is their speciality. We paired it with the usual garlic kulcha and soda.
Ambience is so so. Service is quick and the people there seem welcoming. Price charged is at par with what you expect on East Street. Really good Friday lunch experience.

If you are a very big chicken foodie, then this is the restaurant which you should look. Its one of the best restaurants in the town. The staff and service both are good over here. The food is tasty. Butter chicken and the kebabs are the two dishes which is a must try.
Best Mughals food in town. Visited here thrice, this place never disappoints me.If you go in a group of 7 order their Mughali khaas platter, this has a variety of starters and the chicken pieces are juicy and succulent. For Main course ordered their murg mussalam order this before because it takes 45 mins for preparation,best dish ha sap far. It’s masala an chicken went well with each other, along with this ordered roti ki tokri which had 17 pieces of different types of nan. Last but not the least ended my meal with chicken yolks biryani. Biryani was average in taste.
Apart from the food their billing service is bad, they never have their card option available.

Has been here to give my parents a treat. And yes it turned out to be a success. :) Had ordered chicken tikka,chicken handi and roti,chicken tikka biryani . Everything was yummy and worth it. The food appeared to be cooked using good oil. The rotis were made if wheat and maida. Overall its a good place to go with family.
Food:- we ordered mutton seekh kabab..boti kabab...kheema fry..shajhani mutton curry..roti..chicken biryani..let me tell you..Food was awesome with good spices...mutton was so nicely cooked that it was very easy to chew.
ambience:- Ambience was mediocre..a small place slightly congested..no washrooms which I find is illegal as restaurants should have a washroom..but food will make u forget the ambience

Best restaurant for North Indian cuisine in Pune. Food is of very good quality. Staff is good and they serve nicely. Only downside is it's bit expensive.

I've tried chicken dalcha rice and biryani.it was very nice,clean and worth the money.

Been there couple of times for causal dinner,and I must say this place serves the best mughalai cuisine.
Food: We ordered Murg Angara and Reshmi kabab in starters.Murg angara tasted superb,wheras reshmi kabab were a bit chewy.
Then moved on to main course and ordered chicken Nizami, the taste of the gravy still exist in my taste buds.Semi thick gravy with perfect flavours of spices.Lastly, went on for dessert, Gajar ka halwa was in the today's spl list.
The halwa was fresh but not up to the mark.
-1 rating for the ambience. The place badly needs to renovate. The wash basin can be seen clearly as soon as we enter,also the table cloth were not clean.
Verdict:- If you really want to have delicious meat without bothering the surroundings then just go for it.
No doubt this place have a unique taste.

Undoubtedly one of the bests for Mughlai food in Pune. Their Afghani Chicken was amazing. We also tried Murg Rara. What an amazing combination of spices! Ambience is just ok. But its a pocket friendly place for the kind of food they serve.

2.Changam kabab was the first of its kind I ever ate tandoor pieces stuffed with kheema for this dish I will be regular customer
3.Mughal e kebab was also very tasty tandoori tikka may be sprinkled with ghee which gives long lasting Aroma in our mouth
4.Friday special Dalcha ghost rice was the king of all the dishes and made me remember my Hyderabad days , I don't have the words to describe my joy while eating the food at this restaurant
5.Final order Double ka meetha though my appetite was full but couldn't refuse to eat this dessert recommended by my friend

On our visit, we ordered Mutton Seekh Kebab, Chicken changezi, tandoori afghani and Naan.
Seekh kebab was a turn off and was not liked by us.
Chicken changezi was delicious and had nicely and soft chicken pieces laced in orange gravy and minced chicken .
Afganhi tandoori chicken were melt-in-the-mouth stuff and had all of us drooling over them.
Naan was another marvel and we loved it. The gravy's taste was impeccable.
We ordered also Laccha paratha and cold drinks to polish down the food.

Passing by east street always wondered how the food tastes here. And it tasted nice and good.
I ordered for bheja fry, chicken changezi, garlic nan and Double ka Meetha to wrap up the show.
Bheja fry - tasted good , could have got more flavours the tomatoes were not sauted well and the dish was not hot enough to enjoy to be so called BHEJA FRY.
Chicken changezi - i wonder what CHANGEZI was in it. The dish really tasted good, enough portion for two. Chicken soft and cooked to perfection.
Garlic Nan - All time favourite but did not impress me much here at the Mughal's.
Double Ka Meetha - This guy stole the show. Rabdi with perfect consistency, the bread price fried and soaked well to gain it's soft texture.
Interior - Oh boy, the restaurant needs a hand of paint atleast. The table linen needs to be fresh coloured. The wash basin should be at a better location and not just behind a guest having food.
Service - very caring and concern.
Will surely like to visit again for some biriyani and of course a round of Double Ka Meetha.
And not to forget a 6 feeter in a Mughal look at the entrance to welcome you is the star attraction of the restaurant.

Mughal's, as the name suggests this place has been on east street for many years and serving nice, comfort, desi, mughlai food. East street is a very busy area and this place is no exception. You will find it crowded on the weekend evenings. Easy to find, no parking space for cars so help yourself with it.
Ambiance: Place is situated in kind of old building and the interiors are not that good. Gives you rustic old house feel, with extremely tall roof and some wooden decors all over the place. There might not be more than 10 tables and it's pretty small. Sitting is comfortable and lighting is not that bright. We have been there in the Christmas week, so we saw some red balloons and some santa pictures on the wall as well. Overall, descent ambiance I would say but it could be much much better and there is room for improvement.
Service: Staff is good. They will greet you with smiling faces, will suggest you dishes as well. Serving time is bit more but still acceptable. Waiters are prompt and friendly, you will not have to ask for things twice.
Food: As I said, not impressed by ambiance, I was interested in food and was hoping that I will only look at the food and not the decors. Went there for team lunch so got to try multiple dishes as well.
Masala papad: Started with masala papad, papad was big in size and crispy but salty and spicy. I do not like spicy papad, the amount of red chili powder was way beyond my tolerance but my friends liked it spicy.
Tandoori chicken: Tandoori was cooked nicely and chicken was juicy but I was not impressed with the taste and marination. Flat in taste and even the marination was not up to the mark. Salt was less which made whole thing tasted bland. Served with the salad which was good but tandoori itself didn't impressed me at all.
Special kabab of the day: Don't remember the name and tried to find on menu but this dish was not a part of there menu card but it was listed on the white board outside and it was lip smacking good. Dish of the day !! Boneless chicken was nicely cooked in tandoor, marinated to perfection, less spicy but perfect amount of masala, topped with some cheese and super tasty. Everyone loved this dish and we had to repeat it just to have few pieces more :)
Paneer Sultani: Soft, tender paneer, marinated in special sultani masala, good choice for vegetarians. It was not spicy at all but tasty enough to kick of your day with a nice starter.
For the mains we have ordered 2 dishes (1 Veg and 1 Non -veg)
Paneer Shahajahani: Another descent Paneer dish with nice soft gravy. Paneer was really soft and cooked nicely. Yellowish brown gravy was really buttery and consistency was excellent. Best goes with the soft butter naan.
Murg Lahoori: Simply WOW. Combination of 2 different types of gravies in single dish. One is red gravy (same as chicken tikka) and another is yellowish brown (similar to butter chicken and less spicy) in a single dish. Boneless chicken pieces cooked to perfection stuffed with chicken kheema inside makes this dish stand out and different from any other items on the menu. Chicken was juicy and tnder, gravy was really rich and had loads of butter/ghee in it. Loved it and must try.
Gajar Halwa: Not so good, not so bad. When I took the first byte I immediately know that sugar is really less and its not for people like me who likes there halwa really sweet. Some of you might like it if you prefer less sugar. Tasted bit bland and too much carrot flavor instead of ghee, not for my liking.
Overall, we had mix experience with few dishes. Some of them were extremely good and stand out but some of them were below average. We had a descent time and will surely visit again but only for kababs and mains not for tandoor and desserts.
Very much cozy place but food quality is very good. We tried Biryani here it was good. I will recommend this hotel to foodies who loves non-veg.
I have visited this outlet a couple of times, the food quality, service n ambience is upto the mark. This time we ordered a Butter Chicken, some Indian bread n Rice, everything was good but just the chicken in the Butter chicken was little uncooked. Since I always have all my meats well-done rather very well done I was disappointed this time.
3.5 rating is given for the consistency n the taste of the gravy, quick service n since we were late they allowed us entry. And I think this would be one of the possible reasons that the chef made our butter chicken in a jiffy.
Try their Dal fry, Biryanis n desserts. Whenever u order any dish from their non-vegetarian section please specify the doneness of your meat.

Chicken shajahani was outstanding. Thick flavourfull gravy. Both the kebabs were above average.
Also had the double meeta( shahi tujda) which was brilliant.

Went to this place for the very first time even though have crossed by this place many a times but never thought of having food here at all but don't know what compelled me to go to this place was it my craving for North indian dish or a pic of this place from one of friends last night. About this place what to say not too big of a place to eat and not too classy interiors as well but that does takes away the Quality of the food and service offered. We had for starters Changham Kebab and for main course we had Mutton Noorani bahar and Butter naan. Changham Kebab was chicken wrapped in egg and marination. Size of the kebabs was good pieces were tender and the taste of the chicken was great the only thing that was missing was the marination didn't go to deep inside the chicken. About mutton too soft n juicy and the gravvy was infact finger licking food. Naans were soft as instructed and not burnt as expected. Would definitely expect my friends to visit this place. Located on MG road a small restaurant which serves one of the best delicacies in non-veg here.
Tried the Murg dhaniya adraki and murg shabnami, both were delicious and chicken is well cooked and soft. One of the places where the gravy is very delicious. The garlic naan is amazing here, you can have this with curry.
Its almost full in weekends so I have opted parcel few of the times and they do have quick service.
Absolutely amazing.. hats off .. to the taste they provide .. simply amazing .. probably one of the best chicken tandoori I’ve tasted till now if not the best.. perfectly done . Juicy , tender .. wow..
Do try khichada here it tastes amazing.. Chicken biryani is the best I’ve ever tasted.. The dishes are indeed costly but the kind of taste it brings you wouldn’t really mind paying them.. Also i would recommend you to carry enough cash in your wallet coz most of the time they say that they are having issues with card swiping and all.. but anyway great taste.. great food .. great palce..💫💫

I recently went to mughals with my frnds..I wud say just don't give a second thought n save dis place in ur must visits..Awesome food...Especially chicken dishes r beyond deliciousness...Even veg is also gud...We had chicken tikka n paneer tikka masala..I must say dat d chef clearly knows d best..U shud try their signature dishes too...They r a bit costly but for d quality money can b compromised😁but seriously try this restaurant without giving any second thoughts
Heaven for non veg lovers. We had chicken tandoori, kebabs, paneer sultani and some chicken gravy. Chicken was well cooked and just perfect. Couldn't be better than this.

This is one of the best places in pune to have chicken. They have a huge variety of chicken mutton and gosht dishes.
Ambience: ambience is good the place is not much big but also not too small. We had to wait for 15 minutes to get a table.
Food: me and my friend tried chicken ra ra as recommended by the staff. It had a thick gravy and enough pieces of chicken for 2 people. gravy also had minced chicken in it. it had a great balance of flavours not too spicy neither mild. The pieces of chicken were literally the most tender pieces of chicken you would get anywhere in pune. The pieces were like you touch it and they break you dont even have to chew them they must dissolve in your mouth. For breads we ordered butter naan and onion kulcha. The butter naan was good as you will find it in any of the places. Theonion kulcha was great with a hint of sweetness due to onions and perfect flavour due to all the spices.

Firstly i must appreciate them i must say that they provide very quick service. After ordering within 5 min the plates were ready on the table and food was served no later.... Good job!
Now, food was fairly good and decent but nothing excellent about it. Since the taste was just decent i thought i paid more for what I ate. (we ordered mutton, chicken and paneer in veg in a group of 6)

I have tried 2 of their dishes: murg makhanwala with tandoori roti and murg dum biryaani.
The fingerlicking murg makhanwala with tandoori roti was one of the best butter chicken i had. It's quantity too was quite good enough.
Also the biryaani was amazing, so aromatic and proper Mughalai styled with perfect blend of spices..not spicy and not too chilly.

In starters we tried the Afgani Kebabs - Big chunk of chicken stuffed with chicken kheema. Worth a try!
Some other kebab, I dont remember the name. It was okiesh not that great.
For main course we ordered Mutton Nawabi - tasted blant and had too much of food color added in it. On the other side we ordered Muttom Sukha which was excellent and rich wid flavours and spices.
Now the best part "Dessert" we ordered Double ka Meetha - served hot and was delicious. Perfect dish to end a descent meal.
The place is small however the placings of the mirrors and the huge Wallpaper dosent give a hint of how small the place is. The decorator has done a fab job with the big wallpaper.
Randomly we found ourselves drifting to this place. Comming to the ambience, it a retrofitted old place, with a huge poster wall. Quite congested - can't complain. Now comming to food. We started of with mutton shorbha, was really nice. Then had a chicken kebab, which was that day house specialty - juicy and perfectly cooked. Then went on with Mutton Roganjosh, Amazing flavour, bit garlicy, but amazing. Say people mainly ordering biriyani here, didnt quite have the appetite. Go for it!
Viisited place with my fanily. As it was friday afternoon, the restaurant was not much crowded. The Interior was not very exciting. Had Murg Adraki Kabab, It was tasty, the chicken was soft
with right spices blend. Then we ordered Mutton Lazeez, the dish was good but the quantity of mutton was on lesser side. Since it Friday they server Dalcha as Friday special. The quanity and quality was good. Had good Dalcha after long time. Will visit again.

Went there on a lazy Sunday evening. But the shop was not at all lazy & was totally crowded. We had to wait outside for about 15 minutes. We had ordered Double ka meetha & Mutton dum biriyani. Though I didn't like the biryani ( I couldn't find the taste & fragrance of basmati rice as one can always get in a good biryani ), double ka meetha was good. Staffs are proactive & service is good too.

Entered the place at around 7 pm. We were the first ones for the evening.
The menu boasted of some unique Mughlai dishes like Murg Lahori and Murg Karachi. These aren't served daily and have been allocated specific days of the week.
Murg ka Shorba: Thick soup, full of soft and succulent chicken chunks. Had a unique tangy taste which made it taste yummy.
Reshmi Murg: This too had a tangy twist. The only problem was that the dish had a mix of fresh and old prices. I could make that out easily by the texture of the pieces. The taste was excellent, but the inconsistent texture was disappointing.
Murg Nizami: Red colored thick gravy, topped with grated cheddar cheese. This too was prepared fine.
An overall good experience but not a wow one! Still I'll recommend visiting the place once for trying the unique Mughlai food experience.
