I am not very keen on the ambience and find the cleanliness slightly sub par there, I almost never dine in and essentially take away stuff!

This is by far the best place to have south Indian snacks on this side of Pune. The benne dosa and appe are so good, I order it every single time when I visit this place. You'll not be disappointed with other dishes as well.
First time we had was idlis from this place. Later on we decided to visit the place. And we had so many dishes. Each dish was good and yummy. This place is small and need to wait in peak hours but worth the wait. Good place for office people for breakfast or even lunch.

If you are looking for good authentic south Indian food near Satara Road, then Nagbrhama hut is the place you can definitely visit. This place does not burn a hole in your pocket. The seating is congested but the food is worth the wait. We have been to this place quite a few times and had dosa, Uthappa, appe.
They offer wood-fired dosas and Uthappa and one must definitely order their appe.
Appe are crisp from outside and soft from inside, and have a perfect taste for your taste buds.
The sambhar and chutney are good, sambhar being on the sweeter side.

A typical udipi joint. If you want authentic tasting Sambhar chutney Dosa wada etc come here don't waste your time at vaishali waiting for an hour or anything.
Fast service. Limited menu. Cheap. Can stand up to matumga competition if it had to. Rare to find such joints in Pune.
The downside is its a bit cramped but now they've opened another joint just in front to solve that.
The coffee disappoints though. The aroma doesn't fill the air. And menu is very limited. No pineapple sheera, rasam Wada etc. But the Sambhar is spot on every time.
One of the most famous dish here is Appe (pronounced as अप्पे)! Rest all dishes are perfect! You get a proper feel of being in South India! It has heavy rush in the morning timings, better call & go or take parcel at home!

Its a perfect destination for all the south-indian-breakfast lovers! Absolutely fluffy Jumbo idli, (Tatte idli) what they call it, which is sized bigger than your palm is found here exclusively. It's one of the best veg hotels in Pune. The quality of food is awesome. In terms of service, we have to wait for some time to get the food delivered, but it's OK because you get always freshly prepared. I have been at least 50 times here and never find any single issue of quality. According to me what matters in the restaurant is quality of food and we get it best in Nagbrahma. The hotel serves purely South Indian cuisine. So, I can say for South Indians who are searching Saravana Bhavan in Pune they can get something similar to that here

Plus the dosas are made on wood fire and left out coconut shells which gives it amazing smoky flavour!! The sambar and chuntey are the way it should be!!!

We had mysore dosas from this place. The dosas were really delicious except that they weren't crisp. Just soft- somewhere between crispy and spongy. The place is run by people from Udipi and the food has the Udipi touch in taste entirely, which is lip smacking! The filter coffee is awesome, and must try on your visit here. The appes look very yummy and considerable in size but we were full after our dosas so that is next on our list. Overall very budget friendly and must try for south Indian food lovers.

Its an absolute pleasure to watch this place prepare to open for business early in the morning. There's a huge stone tawa at the entrance that is heated by a wood fuelled furnace. The dosa guy fires it up every morning in a matter of minutes. This here is real proud udupi restaurant serving the fluffiest and softest ever idli - tasty sambhar and chutney with an authentic south-indian taste - and this is coming from a southie - so you can believe me when i say the sambhar is tasty. Other highlights are appe's and ofcourse the dosa. The filter coffee is a perfect refresher. Best south indian breakfast place ever!

I visited here on Sunday. It was already full with long waiting. I opted to have my snacks standing. I had Aappe. It was one of the best I had in Pune. It was slightly sweet. I never had so sweet Aappe. But I liked it a lot. I had it with Sambar. Sambar was perfectly spiced. Overall I loved the place. I would surely revisit to try other options.

This was second Sunday in a row. Just couldn't control myself.
This time along with appe, I had Onion Uttapa with Loni. Boy it was amazing. He already had given sufficient amount of Loni. But after taking first bite, I couldn't resist myself to request for extra Loni. Server also happily obliged. This was best onion Uttapa I ever had. It was not just a thick spongy one. It was decently crispy with generous amount of onion. With extra Loni, my tummy couldn't ask for more.

This is a small hut made to serve pure south Indian food prepared by south indian cooks. Don't look for ambiance or ample of space to hang in. Waiters are in much hurry; they will take your orders fast, serve you fast , in short they will make you get out of that place fast in order to let other people take your seat. Only go there to have food Not to spend time.
appam is famous dish, i would recommend to go for butter onion uttappam and mysore masala dosa. Their Speciality lies in the taste of sambar and chutney. Must try if you are south-Indian-food freak.
There are places where the ambience of the eatery attracts people more than the quality of food. Then there are places like this where the food served speaks. Nagbramha dosa hut is a small, simple place... Can say congested to certain extent. But the heartful food served here will prompt you to come again and again. They serve healthy food prepared on a traditional wood fired stove without bringing a frown on your pocket. Do try all the dishes here... but my personal favorite is the Appe and the coffee....

Its a very small place but serves nice south Indian food. They did some recent changes to the ambiance and now they have few tables where you can enjoy the hot dosas and idli. The staff is always in hurry and busy, so do not expect any type of hospitality. Samber here is simply amezing and best part is, they make dosas and uttapam on wood fire which gives the nice aroma to the dishes. Medu wada is a hot favorite dish and limited too. If you want to have medu wada, you have to go and visit early morning. Special red chutney for mysoor masala dosa is also nice. Size of the idli is enormous and the texture is fluffy. Overall, i prefer this place for simple breakfast (idli and wada mostly) and it ticks most of the correct boxes for me.

Wada : nice and light batter makes for a dry good fluffy and not dense medu Wada ..
Cut dosa : chutney and potato Subzi smeared across the dosa while preparing it and then cut along the length of the dosa .. The batter is light and fresh .
Appe : 6 pieces of mini Appe are served that just brings joy to your face while having it . The batter was cooked through till the core .. Slight sweetness gives it a distinct flavour
Sambar and chutney both were of very good quality and for the prices they serve the quantity is generous .. All in all a good solid meal could be had for a very reasonable price ..

Appe were delicious and best of them all, even medu wada was so soft. I have never had such wada before. Don't expect for the ambience, but really you should try it once.
We went nagbrahma in morning for having dosas, medu Wada and other. Even though place is very small and tiny don't go this attribute. Taste is very good here and it foils your tummy very much. Nagbramha- it's one of the hidden jewel who serves authentic and tasty South Indian delicacy allday long. The USP of this place is its wood fire dosa and uttappa which is setup jut at the entrance of this small joint. You can see your yummy and crispy dosa right in front of you. Dosa's are made hundred percent in natural wood fire tawa which has it's own unique taste to it.
They also serve Appe (6 pieces) which are made as per the order is punched in. Again this is the most favourite dish and most ordered dish from the menu. Their idli are nice and big as palm size and spongy served with sambar and chutney.

My first encounter with this place was almost 8 years ago. My first reaction - another south indian joint serving the same dosas. Then the wood fire oven caught my attention. The items other than dosas were prepared in the indoor kitchen, while the piping hot crispy dosas on the wood fired oven outdoors. The place was too small with only 4-5 tables and kitchens on two ends. Then in last couple of years much renovation has happened to handle the popularity. The name of this place back then used to be Nagbramhamba Davangere which was almost impossible to pronounce within few tries. The historical details apart, since then this has been a favorite.
There are many things on the menu which really stand apart. Appe, with a little ghee/butter and the sambar. Set dosa (3 small sozed plain dosas), again with a lot of butter/loni, for people with good appetite. The sambar served is less watery and seems perfect. Another star on the menu is the Special south coffee which I never miss. The Special tea, too, is a taste which you wot find anywhere. Rava masala and mysore masala dosas and Medu wadas, too, are must try.
Haven't gone into authenticity of the dosas and the sambar, but spending my life eating at Vaishali, roopali and wadeshwar, this place really stands out. Not just the easy on pocket thing, but the simplicity of the place too has helped it maintain the quality of food for years.

Finally I was here today. Iam sure the menu doesn't need any introduction, whether one has eaten here or even if has read the reviews, all tastes good.
Even early morning the restaurant was crowded, this itself speaks for its popularity.
It has this big dosa making platform at the entrance, which is fired with wood at the bottom the good old way. Iam sure this add's a lot to the taste as well.
Banana leaves around gives that fresh feel.
For today selected three from the menu, Idli, Wada n Butter set Dosa.
Idli was big enough n fresh so was the Wada.
The star for me was the butter set dosa. Just so perfect, the softness, the freshness with white butter melting over it magically. The sambar, chutney everything was so yumm.
N to end it was the filter coffee. Fresh hot the aroma, wow made my day.
Iam coming here again again for sure. More than writing about Nagbrahma, I would recommend one should visit it for sure.

I must tell you...appam n spanj dosa was so delicious... i try so many food joints but i never get such tasty food anywhere else...
So i must recommend this place for those who overlook ambience and looking for tasty n yummy delicious south indian food at reasonable price.
They serves dosa...idli..uttapam @₹45 which is quite pocket friendly compared to established restaurants like Wadeshwar..Vaishali.. Rupali..

Great place for authentic South Indian food... We awe about pizzas from wood fired ovens, and this place is where you can get Dosas, Uttapams, benne dosa, appams, etc. cooked over wood fired tava.. i have also seen them utilizing coconut shells along with wood!
Ambience and service is average as it is a small & busy place but the food is very good and reasonably priced.
They serve best South Indian food, my personal favourite appe, mysore masala dosa, tatte idli and coffee. Ambience is not that good but they are renewing the place. Reasonable price. It's always busy and good service.

This place is well known for it's South Indian Food. I tried their Misal Pav for the first time and I am really impressed by their Taste and Quality of the Misal.
The Sample has good spice level. Not too hot and not too bland. Just the right amount of spice which is needed for the day!
I noticed Kala Chana and Matki in their base and also Farsan and Onion.
The Quantity was good and also the Price of it is really Reasonable compared to other Misal Joints.
The waiting time was around 7-10 minutes but it was worth it.

You get very good South Indian food here. We tried their appe and Mysore Masala Dosa. Appe were delicious and dosa was okay. This place is very crowded usually on weekends. For appe the waiting time is more. Other items are served faster. Usually there is a wait of 5-10 minutes to get a table. Free roadside parking is available.

Highly recommend this small South Indian gem! The banne dosa and appe were awesome, truly authentic taste. Don't miss their amazing special tea and coffee too! A must-visit for any South Indian cuisine lover!
Won't rate all the products as the best. But do try APPE and ofcourse coffee. Coffee could have been a bit stronger. Dosa and other dishes are kind of ok but no matter what if you come here don't miss the Appe

I personally had to wait for 40 minutes for my table to get cleared and my order to be placed
I ordered a Devingiri dosa which is a south Indian speciality and I had a filter coffee from south India too
