Was lookin for a late night drinking place. This was suggested by my friend. It was quite full for a Monday night. Their low seating is very comfortable for long drinkin scenes. We ordered chicken handi and and naan, which was yum... little expensive though. But late night drinking is sorted...

Best cozy place for After Party !! If you are bhookad type and still hungry after party or want to grab that last beer then this is the right choice . Meet Rocky there he will give the best . For young couples nice couches are there where they can sit , chit chat and get little cozy , and seprate section for the boys. Watch IPL , do bakar or what ever you like . The food is just superb !!. I have been to the place a couple of times and the quality is always consistent and upto the mark. The only problem with the place is t has lots of rude waiters who will not bother to serve you at all. I would have given 5, but just because of few rude people its 4.

This place very disappoints. Anytime you feel like having yummy spicy food in Pune after 7pm, Kanak is the place to go to.
My all time favorite here is the Cheese Garlic Naan, its the best 'chakna' or starter you can munch while waiting for your food.
Non vegetarians must have the Murg Musallam, Murg Labadar and Chicken Lollypops.
Vegetarians can try their Veg Lasooni and Paneer Bharvan (Just melts in your mouth)
Remains open all nyt, you can go for an after party or can get take away drinks n food at midnyt. This place is always there to extend ur nyt party 😉 though u need to pay extra for the late nyt service.

One of the very few all-nighter places of Pune, that serves delicious food with a good service. What else would you ask if you are a college student, or just need something ti eat at night.
Though ambiance isn't any extraordinary factor for kanak, I would rather count it as a shady place, though you can go with you date. Sitting arrangements do interest you as it provides your desi sit and dine option.
Ambiance - If at all they work on the ambiance to make it better this can high rating restaurant on my list.

Visited this place twice once I tried pure veg and once pure non veg. It didn't disappoint me at all. Alcohol is cheap and even the food without compromising on the taste.
A good place if you are getting late for your food. This place is open till quite late in the night.
The good part about this place is that they have a provision for Floor Seating with pillows and a low wooden table.
The starters are good and economical but the main course is like what is served at an average Indian restaurant.
Must go if you are planning to spend some time with your group of friends and have some not too costly food.
I always thought this place would be not upto the mark looking at it, as it appears to be a garage from outside. But, if you want some good food to satisfy you and don't want to get holes in your pocket then give it a try. Food is too tasty and mouth watering. I have tried Chicken Tikka Masala, Veg Kadhai here, and trust me it's the best of all. They also serve alcohol at a reasonable rate here. I visited this place with my school friends on sort of a reunion. The ambience of the place is average with on the floor sitting and a dhaba type feel. Coming to the food. We ordered tandoori chicken and chilli chicken for starters the food was awesome. Only concern was with the roti and naan they were like chewing gum... :)

They serve quarters for almost all the brands in drinks.
Approx cost is 700 - 800 per person with drinks and food. Even after midnight no one asks you to leave early, staff is patient and tolerant. They are open until 4:00 AM or so depending on crowd. They have separate section for people with ladies in the group and separate section for only boys gang.
Mostly, its our weekdays hanging spot as its open for late and close in the city to reach out for.

Best thing about this place is that this one is open for little more hours than other restaurants. Nothing so fancy about this place and definitely not a family place but more like guys hangout place. Staff is nice but in peak hours can't handle the load effectively. Food is good but there might be some events when u will complain about it...seems like depends on chef's mood :-) .

They did not had drinks menu which was a negative point as they could charge whatever they like.

Well .. This place is great from night life point of view. We had been to this place in a group of almost 6-8 people. It was a great experience. Had this chicken both in starters n entree. Food was good with respect to price. Service was also good. Even veg portion was great. Drinks are normal in range. Overall it was a good exeperience to dine at this place. Will revisit this place.

What its late night and you are hungry, this is the place where you should be and theres a plus point as you get booze too. There is not much in terms of ambience but the sitting arrangement was good including an area where you can realx and enjoy your food with good service. Totally a place when you with a group of hungry lads searching for a late night joint.

As usual we ordered for masala papad.. Which was good enough.
From starters we chose paneer kasturi kebab and tandoori chicken.. Both were amazing.
Then came the chicken rezala with butter nan which was also tasting lovely.
I had ordered burnt garlic rice with Chili chicken..I just cudnt stop myself.. Went on eating until I found that there is no more place for the food to go in...
So now u know how delicious it must have been..
Guys if you haven't tried in kanak .. Then please go there and try it out..i am sure you will love it..
kanak is sort of dhaba cum restaurant quite and calm place to relax and eat..with friends on evenings..the seating arrangement is desi baithak type..food is lovely,nice quantity,worth the money,any sports matches are always displayed on LCD,ample parking space,prompt service.

One of the best Daal makhani you can get hold of in Pune. Typo Dhaba type set-up (though prices are of a decent restaurant). Service is good, location is pretty strategic, pretty close from the airport. The only place where you can go even at 1:00 - 2:00 am , even on weekdays.

Recommended Dishes: Chicken Nizami Tikka
Food: We ordered Chicken Nizami tikka and Mutton Biryani and both exceeded our expectations.
Succulent pieces of chicken expertly marinated, spiced and cooked. Kebab was almost melting in mouth. Mutton biryani was also treat to eat. A long grained cooked rice with the right quantity of biryani masala and perfectly cooked mutton. This made us reorder one more portion of biryani.
Service: The order taker sounded bit rude initially on being asked for suggestions but after a while he was okay to talk with. We went by his recommendations and did not regret. Service was also quick and courteous.
Ambience: One of those rare restaurants in the city which have sit-down on floor sitting. A Feet high table with modest mattresses laid on both side. Comfortable for those who are comfortable sitting on floor for long time. They also do have tables with chairs and sofa seats. They have apparently made sure that people not comfortable sitting down won’t be reluctant or uncomfortable dining here.
As far as lighting goes, it is just well lit to have your food. Overall ambience gives an impression that this is not a place for nuclear family, but definitely for friends, groups and joint family get-together. Groups seemed enjoying their time here.
Value for Money: Yes. INR 770 for a kebab and 2 biryanis that tasty isn’t very expensive, is it?

I saw this dhaba/ hotel si many times before. While travelling to vimannagr its on the way. This time I decided earlier in the eve to go there to have food.
We entered this place at 8.30. It wasn't too crowdy at that time. What was new there! As per regular hotel there were tables n chairs but also a place where we can sit down on 'mattress' gadda with lower wooden tables.
After few drinks we ordered our food. Kanak special Murg Razalla and butter naan.
Food was good. Dont know about veg food as we havent tried that.
Will try that next time.
Only complaint is service. Service was very slow. We asked waiter too many times to serve food as we waited for almost half n hour.

If you are looking for a no-nonsense place to sit down and have good food in Viman Nagar, this is it. Kanak has tables as well as ground seating and the ambiance is OK. The place serves alcohol too- mostly by the quarter. The food is good and deently prized. I have tried the bhuna chicken, chilly chicken, mutton tawa and chicken tikka masala on various occassions at this place. All in all, a good place to chill and kill some time with your pals
Food and ambience is awesome. If you want to have Dhaba like experience. This is the right place.
However need to improve on the behaviour of Staffs

While coming back from a party,(we were late,tired & hungry) one of my friend suggested to have dinner in Kanak !! Again a place explored by us for late night dinner, a very comfortable & cozy place to be when you are around in late nights !!

The food is nothing outstanding, but masaledar and decent dhaba wala types.
The floor seating is a welcome change, lie back and chew on!!.. The staff are over friendly though, and i was subject to "mera dil bhi bol raha tha ki aapko yehi chahiye" while my guyfriend was away ! :O
And you are forced to order mineral water, coz when you say 'regular', the staff will tell you ' its non-filtered'... :D
With the so less 'proper post mid-night food' options in pune, this place is definitely one of the best!!

Good restaurant. In day time it is family restaurant and in night its ambiences just become like a pub. Best time to visit this place is after 12 o clock in the night. Reasonable rates, good food and the Indian Baithak is the USP of this place. It's have ample of parking space. If you starving middle of the night and want to grab some good food and drinks then it is the right place for you.
The location of this restaurant is following New Airport Road, Sakore Nagar Rd, Yerawada, Pune, Maharashtra 411014. The important thing is that please aware Kanak is less family restaurant and more a bar. You'll find the various varieties of liquor and beer here. The food menu is good and the quality is also awesome, however, they are costly. Price of liquor and food too aren't economic and this is the only reason to give them the four star. However, take this as an exception as the crowd is always almost full there. #CottonKabab is their famous dish if you'll talk about non-vegetarian food and #Daal-Khichdi for veg lovers. They have a wonderfully interior atmosphere and seating. The ambience is also pretty relaxing with dim lights. Coming to the prices, they are definitely not expensive! Recommended - Paneer Tikka, Veg Manchurian, Chicken Dragon. I believe that you'll enjoy your time here.

I have visited this restaurant 2 times and both were late night around 2 am :D their food is delicious! Lights are dim and ambience is light and delightful. There’s just one issue that there is no sign board for smokers, so people smoke inside the restaurant also. I don’t like to sit near a smoker so it really bothers me. Else everything is fine. They have a more comfortable dining for families. A big thumbs up👍🏻

Very nice food just Lil disappointed cause of choice of sitting, I was with my friend who is also a guy who came from Mexico n we were not allowed to sit on the other floor level sittings just because we were both guys. So upsetting this part rest all was good n really amazing food. I loved the food.
