Khandeshi Darbar (Baner): One of the places with an authentic Khandeshi cuisine and amazing taste.
Khandeshi Darbar is a small cozy place in Baner, right at the corner of the road going towards Balewadi high street. We went for dinner there, and believe me our search for a Khandeshi place ended today. It is a small no frills resto serving authentic Khandeshi cuisine with a limited menu, but whatever we tried we really liked it.
For starters we ordered Chicken Latpat, it is a semi dry chicken starter with amazing gravy. Infact the masala and the chicken were so good that we could have had just that along with Bhakris. The chicken was nicely prepared but the masala took the crown for us.
For main course we got the home favourite Chicken masala, which was spicy and not just chilly (as many places prepare), the chicken was well cooked and soft. The gravy in itself stood out, our gravy was finished before the chicken, it was that good. I wanted to try ou the rice with that gravy but sadly was way too full after the bhakris.
Along with the chicken masala we ordered Bhakris, which were hot and soft and landed on our plates freshly made right from the stove.
Upon our request they also served us a bowl of Kala Masala gravy which is a recent addition to the menu, one of the best kala masala gravies I have ever had. You can get the smoky flavour right from the first sip it was perfectly balanced and the smokiness was not overpowering the rest of the spices.
Solkadhi made a perfect end for the dinner. Cool and refreshing.
This will be our go to place from now on.

Food is tasty. But roti not that in good shape when order online, though taste is good. Recommend : Sev Bhaji and Baigan Ka Bharta.
This is not good place for the thick gravy lovers. Also, don't expect a non-spicy north Indian food Here.
If you love spicy Khandeshi (North Maharashtra) type food then you are at right place. Curry is thin, spicy (can open your ears) as it should be. Famous for Khandeshi food like Shev Bhaji, Bharit , Mirchicha Thecha. I won't suggest paneer and other north Indian food items here.
For Lovers of Khandeshi food, this is the Place to try out.

Best place for khandeshi stuff, not good for Punjabi dishes. Chicken and mutton thalis are best, butter masala etc. are not so good. Good service.
We visited this place twice and love the spicy Maharashtrian Thalis here. If you love spice over everything then certainly this is the place for you in Baner.
We ordered special mutton thali, chicken thali and sol kadhi and I found everything was great and spicy to satisfy Maharashtrian taste bud. Must say quantity is sufficient for a person and this place moderately reasonable as well.

Once again, only if you love spicy food. Mutton and Chicken Thalis with Kheema and Rassa. Just superb. Love the Mutton Latpat and Kala Mutton/Chicken here. Super Khandeshi stuff.
Truly awesome is the word. Had ordered for shev bhaji with chapatis. Trust me the customizations were properly taken care of. The gravy (Rassa) was amazingly prepared with smoky maharashtrian spices. Chapatis were completely superb and fresh. Packing of entire items were perfect. Loved the taste and enjoyed it to the core.
One of the best spicy foods that I had in recent time. Their spice content will easily be loved by those who dare to have some thrilling food. Good job team.

Being Khandeshi love bharit and shev bhaji always. This place is my most favourite place for Khandeshi food. All which includes in menu is tasty including shev bhaji, bharit, chicken, masala bibadi etc. Highly recommended for Khandeshi taste.

I have order Panner butter masala, shev bhaji and fulka. Really liked their shev bhaji and didin't like much panner butter masala. Quantity is good.

Very unique taste.!! Non veg dishes are must try and same goes for veg variaties. Matki-bhakri is famous here. Small space and little bit delayed response from staff makes it bit boring though. But that doesn't impact your experience with actual food taste.

Authentic khandeshi taste, not much of a dining vibe. Very simple hotel.
Bhakari made on spot just like home, it was nice in texture and easy to chew. Chicken masala taste is good. This is special chicken masala thali.

Love the food from Khandeshi Darbaar. we order in during covid times earlier we used to visit the place, small but clean place. Thakis are amazing.
Best Khandeshi food around. Shev bhaji ani Bharit (Bengan Bharta) with Bhakri is a must try. Nonveg also has a great taste. Underrated restaurant in Baner but beats all other in case of taste.
One should try special chicken thali that too with bhakari. Not too spicy but a good option for spicy loving people.
Have been there a couple of times in the past. Loved their authentic taste of khandeshi food. Tried their bharit, dal tadka with thecha and bhakri. Just amazing! If you love spicy food, and I mean real spicy food, this is the place for you. The sitting area is relatively small - just 7-8 tables. Has a TV as well. My only complaint was there were mosquitoes inside which ruins your good time.
