Khatri Bandhu -The ice cream brand has several outlets in Pune. The one at Ganga Bhagyoday Sinhagad road can easily be spotted at the busy Khau Galli. They serve various ice cream and mastani. They have an outdoor sitting option with an average ambiance. The parking is ample at the roadside.
I tried below dishes:-
1. Strawberry Icecream:- Tons of fresh natural strawberry(In a minute cup) and a scoop of strawberry flavored ice cream served in a cup. Definitely worth!!
2. Matka mava ice cream:- Its a combination of mava ice cream and dry fruits in a clay pot. Again treat to the tastebuds.
I will visit again for the famous Tender coconut icecream.

It was the season favorite, Jamoon flavor !! And it was the first time she was trying Jamoon too. The sweetness was mild and she loved it ! What could make a mother feel better. I remembered my time as a kid when I would collect jamoons from trees, add black salt and shake em before devouring the whole collection :)
The only reason I deducted a star was for cleanliness. There was a huge dustbin right where you sit and a dog doing his rounds for the leftovers. It would have been a perfect experience otherwise.

Providing a wide variety of ice creams, khatri bandhu has 8 outlets in Pune. There are often new flavors available, one of the highly demanded ice cream flavor is tender coconut and highly recommend mastani is sitafal mastani which includes sitafal chunks. The service is quick and rates are reasonable. They have some different flavors or we can say some out of box flavors like jackfruit, paani puri etc.
The owner of this place is very polite and a humble person, they have huge collection of natural ice cream with full of pulp in it.

Finally, all Khatri Bandhu ice cream outlets covered. So I visited this place the last and the only reason to visit was to get a taste of Tender Coconut.

Well, one scoop for INR 65, compared to other flavors on the menu, this seems very expensive. But who cares if it tastes the worth, and trust me..it does! You get the taste of Coconut Meat (Malai) and it's not too sweet as well. Perfect blend of both and it simply works.

The fruits flavor was overflowing. I felt like I'm eating an actual jamun. It's pretty weird though how they give a small spoon for this ice cream.

Nice place to hang out late night after a heavy dinner :) Just that on a couple of consequent occasions, the milk of one of the flavors was burnt which was a turn off...after informing the guy at the counter, he insisted that there were no issues with it...that is from when I stopped frequenting...hope they have pulled up their socks :)

Khatri bandhu pot ice cream is among the frequently visited places... All their flavors are good however I find gulkand flavor to be better than the other famous mastani joint. Recently I had fresh coconut and guava flavors and both are just amazing... They have made good searing arrangement and that becomes another plus point...
When its about mastani , this place is a must to try...they have god multiple flavours of icecreams and mastani...mango mastani and keshar dryfruit is a must dry...their pricing is also pocket friendly and worth the taste...i suggest to go for a medium size mastani as it has a reasonable quantity and pocket friendly...

It's located near goel ganga known as khau galli. This is the renowned place for Pune's speciality drink- Mastani. I've tried mango, gulkand, choco-chips, mawa and sitafal Mastani here. Mango and sitafal mastani are my favourite.
Even guava ice cream needs a special mention here.

After Sujata mastani, this place has finally hit the Sinhagad road. As usual they offer best of what they can which they offer in whole Pune city. It has got its own taste so I cannot compare with other competitors. A must visit place with family and friends.

Today was a hot afternoon so after lunch decided to head to khatri bandhua delicacies and have some mind cooling oce creams. Got here the first thing That caught my mind was the overall ambeince in the shop was soothing.

Ordered mango ice cream and peru.
Mango as in for taste was great but a bit melty so was a bit disappointed there.
Peru in my opinion was ok but my friend had tried peru for first time and she was impressed but not me. I mean they could work more on that flavour.
Anjeer is another exciting flavour and also good one. Mastani's any time are hit. Speacially when you mix two different flavours.

Khatri bandhu serve one of the best mastani and ice cream in the city. It is a nyc little shop located at a very good place with great ambience. The prices are a bit on higher side. But good quality food comes at a price. I have tried mango and pista mastani, both of which were fantastic. Mastani's come in 3 sizes, small, regular and large. While large size mastanis may seem a bit costly, regular mastani's are the best in terms of price and quantity.
Nice little ice cream parlour situated at a great location. They have a range of tasty ice creams,many of them being fruit flavoured. This being a chain of ice cream parlours, the taste is same as that of other Khatri ice cream outlets. The service here though is good. The mastanis here are also good. Although not a match to Sujata mastani as far as the mastanis are concerned. The ice cream scoops are a bit overpriced here. I recommend that you visit this particular outlet in the evening and at night. They arrange chairs outside the outlet and the ambient light from the shops and street lights make a perfect setting to enjoy your ice cream. Bottom line ,Good place, good service , good taste but a bit overpriced.

I love this place. Have been eating their icecreams since a long time now. The freshness, fruity natural flavour, and creamy texture of their icecreams is what I like the most. The scoops are rightly priced. As far as the pot icecream is considered it is the best. However for shakes and Mastana you have other good options.

Visited over last weekend after a long time, many years in fact. A lot has been said already about the quality of the Mastani and ice creams of Khatri Bandhu.
We tried Mango and Sitaphal Mastani and Litchee and Strawberry ice creams. The quality is really phenomenal. And pricing really decent as compared to the competition – Sujata for Mastani and Naturals for ice creams.
In case of Mastani, I would still rate Sujata marginally better than Khatri Bandhu, but only marginally. Pricing of Khatri Bandhu is at least 30-40% lower than Sujata though.
For ice creams, I would rate Khatri Bandhu at par with Naturals… and it costs half the price as compared to Naturals.
I learnt that they have already opened a few branches in the city. Eagerly waiting for them to open a branch at Baner. Highly recommended place.
I am a die hard fan of their pot ice creams. I remember those long queues in Karve Nagar during midnight for their natural flavors. Recently I am regular visitor to this Sinhagad Road outlet since they opened.

In recent months many of the shining armors of the Zomato army have rained lavish praise over one and only Sujata Mastani and more so the very special and undeniably likable Mango Mastani (which made it the trendiest thing on Zomato which was rightly pointed out by Akshay!). The everlasting list includes Shaunak, Milind, Kunal, Ruchi, Ayan, Sonal, Ashtiw (he was not that charmed though!), Essjay, Akshay, Ms SRC, Prachi…. (Sorry if any one is left out!). But the first one to start the trend was the ever so dependable Aniket who had written in his humble review that the mastanis are good but still a little over-priced. We could not agree more over this fact.
As the Mastanis at Sujata are really good and have no real competitor/substitute with the same appeal so this was our final destination for the mastani cravings. But recently while strolling along near Bhagyoday complex on Sinhagad Road, we descried a dull lit board with the name ‘Khatri Bandhu Pot Ice-cream & Mastani’. Without any expectation we went in and such has been our liking to this place that we have visited this place over weekends for one month continuously (and more visits are due)!!
The reason for our tremendous faith on this outlet stems from the fact that in each of our visits we have been seriously surprised and in awe of the taste of the ice-creams and mastanis that we had the privileged to indulge in.
The ice-creams here are made from pot process (usually called French Pot Process) where the pot refers to the equipment that is used to make the ice-cream. The ice-creams made through this process are dense, creamy and most importantly air-free as the manager (also seemed to be the owner) rightly pointed out.
The ice-creams which we had here include Jamun, Musk-Melon, Mango, Gulkand and Anjeer. They are really soft with such fine texture; they are real treats to the taste buds. You can be assured that the fruit based ice-creams like Jamun and Musk-Melon are sure to give you the shreds of real fruits in each bite that you take. Another plus is that the blending of real fruits and creamy ice-cream is perfect which gives you the right fruitiness without disturbing the rich taste of ice-cream. The exception being Mango ice-cream which seems to be containing mango pulp much like what is served at Sujata.
The mastanis are equally fascinating and we have treated ourselves with Mango, Gulkand, Anjeer among others. The Mango Mastani seems exactly like Sujata but we find the texture of the milkshake here much better. The Gulkand Mastani is stunning in its own sense and same is the case with Anjeer Mastani.
As the place demands self-service so nothing can be said on that front. The managers and staff do look after your needs when asked for help.
We specifically had a discussion with the in-charge of the outlet to get some insight about this outlet and he was more than happy to do so even though the frequency of customers was bordering to unmanageable heights.
He informed us that their Kothrud outlet was the oldest that has completed 25 years. The outlet that we have been frequenting is about to complete 2 years. They have branched out in last 2 years so they have limited presence across the city as of now.
The pricing is really decent with ice-cream scoops costing Rs.25-Rs.30 while mastanis cost Rs.60-Rs.80. Even the Mango Mastani for Rs.60 is a stealer. We certainly believe that the pricing here is the most accurate when it comes to ice-creams and mastanis.
On the downside the variety is less especially when it comes to mastanis. The Full mastanis have the glasses not completely filled and about 25% of it is filled with air which hurts even more so after tasting it. Another factor is the limited outlets in the city which in coming months are sure to increase.
To all the Zomans (Sorry Sharayu for stealing this one, please don’t go for copyright issues!) this place serves ice-creams and mastanis luxuriant in cream and texture. We have found it better than Sujata and Natural Ice-creams in many ways and we are sure that you will like this place after your first visit here.

Used to go out to drink there Mastani at late night. Started from street now they have their own place near Sinhgad road in Ganga Bhagyoday apartment. Coming to their mastani they serve the best Mastani in town no doubt about that but the quantity is not that much. Still sometimes i have to wait for 15 mins to get a mastani. Must try Gulkand mastani it's awesome.

I tried below dishes:-
1. Strawberry Icecream:- Tons of fresh natural strawberry(In a minute cup) and a scoop of strawberry flavored ice cream served in a cup. Definitely worth!!
2. Matka mava ice cream:- Its a combination of mava ice cream and dry fruits in a clay pot. Again treat to the tastebuds.
I will visit again for the famous Tender coconut icecream.

Very delicious Gulkand ice cream. Creamy and original rose flavour.
One of the best places for ice cream and Mastani. Top flavours would be special Mawa dry fruits and Gulkand ( for both ice-cream and Mastani).
Tender coconut ,chikoo ,jamun and musk melon are some of the non conventional flavours you can find here.
The taste of ice cream is Preety good the coconut flavour is specially tasty and natural
