This is the heaven for the Bengali's leaving in Pune. It serves authentic Bengali cuisine. The Daab payesh is delicious. The staff in the restaurant is hospitable.
Ambience and food is of premium quality.
Awesome food, reasonable price. And if you Bengali food lover, this is the destination for you in Pune
Excellent mutton preparation
Authentic bengali food is what you can expect. If you love bengali cuisine, this is your place. Their pulao and dhokar danla were just amazing. I love this place! This is a must try restaurant if you are a bengali and if you are in Pune
Best place to eat for fish amazing service great food loved it
The veg chop, bhetki fish fry , dal alu bhaja and the melodious Bengali songs took us down lane of nostalgia. A must visit for bengalis in puna.
Nice place and had tasty food with my family. Restaurant was neat and and clean. Specially Pratap was awesome and special thanks to him.....
Mr. Pratap was very cordial and very polite, the hospitality was amazing just like the food.
It is an amaizng place to be here. Not the 1st time i was here but a couple of times before. Whenever i get cravings for homely food or remember the foods back home i come here. What makes it stand apart is definitely the quality of food and behavior of staffs in the restaurant
Fish Kalia and veg chops along with the service were great .
Fast and polite service with yummy food
Excellent service and super food
Hi we love your food very much
We went there for anniversary dinner. Staff is very friendly. Food taste is awesome. We got complimentary rasgullas and also 5% off for our anniversary.
Good Bengali Food in kharadi location
Nice place , very good staff, Loved the Mutton kosha & Daab chingri ,Thanks Prashant Dash for your suggestions
Learnt that this is the place where their journey started. Representation of a humble beginning as a small cosy place with soothing music and Awesome Bangali khabar. The food and service will leave no doubts on one's mind on their nomination for Best Bengali Restaurant ar Time Food & Nightlife Awards 2020. A must visit for Bangali khabar lovers and foodies as well.
Everything is amazing. I always recommend everyone for this restaurant. This is the perfect restaurant for all the bangali dada n didi😘💞
Nice place very good staff, Love the Rabindra sangeet.......
A bit inconsistent and sometimes negligent, yet the best Bengali cuisine experience in Pune.
I would request them to play the soothing Bengali tracks regularly in the background, as it adds the feel to be at home.
Amazing food with a good price.. Value for money.. Must visit... Great taste.... Awesome experience... And a place for both family as well as friends...
One of the most authentic place to have pan aisan and bengali cuisines. Select bengali songs , tastefully done atmosphere, wonderful staff and a passionate owner Mr. Roy . All the best being one of the best restaurants to savour the taste of bengali dishes
Amazing food and service was quick. The staff was friendly. We ordered veg food and every bite was delicious. We will definitely visit this place again.
The best Bengali food in Pune. Every dish is awesome! The food is bound to get you nostalgia if you are fond of Bengali food. Chicken kosha is fab! Mutton Biryani is killer. Bengali pulao is not very sweet which is good. Veg chop and fish cutlet are nice. They only are catering via swiggy but I would urge them to get on Zomato too! A must try place.
It's a small place in Kharadi and easy to miss if you are not following navigation.
Not much on the ambience side but food wise it is quite good
We had 4 starters and main course ranging from veg to chicken to fish and all of them were very well made
Highlight of the starter was chicken devil egg
In desserts we had Rosogulla which was very soft and not too sweet. Well made
Overall a very nice experience
I was craving for Bengali food after coming to Pune, and this was the perfect place. Went there on my birthday and the overall experience was awesome! We ordered Steam Rice, Bhaja Moong Dal, Jhuri Alu Bhaja, Begun Bhaja, Bangla Pulao, Chicken Dakbanglow, Rui Kalia, Fish Fry, Bhetki Paturi and Rosogolla. Each and every item was delicious, it felt like home! I highly recommend this place, and I'm sure gonna visit it again 🙂
I love your biryani nd my family was also happy with your delicious dish
Thnku so much for this buryani
Next time I also want to order birnlyani from your shop
Again m saying i luv it
A nice , compact authentic bengali restaurant Aha Bengali'. It makes most of the exotic bengali dishes from Kosha Mangsho to Kobiraji cutlets. Fish Paturi, Pabda fish, Dab Chingri & Mishti Doi these items are 😋😋. An ideal place for bong foodies however, prices are little on the higher side and needs to be reviewed.
One of the best Bengali meals I had in Pune surely. We had a plethora of items starting from Chicken kabiraji in the starters to posto, chicken dakbungalow and rice in the main course. The food is delicious and the prices are moderate. The Rosogolla and Daber payesh were outstanding. Service is very fast as well. They offer some discounts during the weekdays as well.
Bengali's can't live without food and their fish, me being a foodie also search for different places especially serving bengali food. This is A very small place and tiny little stairs leading to the mezzanine floor. The food served is authentically from West Bengal and made with care. We started with postor boda, dimer devil and fish fry, loved all of them especially the mustard sauce thrown on the side, the boda was delicious. My wife had the mocha chingdi, which was dry and done nicely, the prawns very fresh straight off the sea. My daughter had the chicken kosha, she liked the taste a lot and raring to go again. I had the home style mutton and absolutely loved the tenderness with whi h the mutton was cooked. Had masala coke on the side. How can we not have dessert, we where so full that we carried the mishti doi and daber payesh back home. The first time I had daber payesh, very unique and lovely delicacy, especially the soft daab is exotic.
Much recommended place and can't wait to visit again

This is a tiny place hidden in a corner in Kharadi and quite easy to miss. Came up as one of the top options for bengali cuisine in Pune so decided to give it a shot. Took a Bengali friend of mine to confirm the authenticity of the food. Also to help decide what to eat. Who better company to a bong place than a true bong? Also it helps with better connecting with the bengali speaking staff.
So we ordered the Fish Kabiraji (FK) and Begun Bhaja (BB) as starters, Ilish Sorche (IS), and Mutton Curry (MC) with rice for the main course. Mutton curry because I'm not a big fan of fish (Yeah, I know). The FK is a fish omelette, bit oily but goes well together. BB is fried eggplants, crunchy exterior with a soft interior. IS is the star of the meal here. Eaten with rice, the dish is extremely rich with an excellent mustard flavour. The first fish dish I have actually liked, ever. In fact it made the MC taste almost bland in comparison. Now that is something.
Loved the place. Would recommend anyone to try the place at least once. And twice too.
Ambience - *** (Its tiny)
Food - ****
Service - ****
Absolute delight for Bong Punekars. From the brilliant Fish Fry to the exquisite Mishti Doi, every bit of the journey was worth savoring. A must visit for bengali food cravers. Cannot wait to try more of their dishes. Among the ones I did, must haves - Bhetki Shorshey, Mutton Curry, Luchi, Mishti Doi, Fish Fry, Pabdaar Jhaal. A few dishes are a tad overpriced but the quality, taste and the staff behavior, surely compensates.
Do visit for a authentic awesome Bengali cuisine. The food is authentic full of flavours. Ambience is little congested but the soothing tunes makes up for it. The staff is courteous but service is prompt.
For last 8 years I have been searching for this taste which I finally ended up getting here. Its funny that I met the owner during Festiv season #Durga puja and just casually tried mutton biryani along with chicken kosha ... I was literally amazed with the taste ... It is awesome. কোনো কথা হবেনা ... After few days later one fine I ordered again but added mutton rezala ... Simple peerless in taste. I had been to many restaurants in Pune but I am sorry to say tastes never poked me like this ...
I never had bengali food like this, just amazing and it was finger licking good. So many bengali restaurant you will find near by but this place was hell good as what i thought of, Food was great, Specially fish omg! I would love to eat again again. Biryani was amazing with the great bengali taste, Chicken item were delicious. Quality with Quantity i would say, Clean and hygenic. Bill was quite manageable. Staff was really friendly and without rasogulla you can wash ur hand . It was great and fresh.
Exclusive Bengali cuisine, no other option. Good fresh food. Small place for dining in. Veg options are limited. Good and quick service. Overall a good place to visit if you like Bengali food.
It is always awesome to be there.... everything there u must try ..of course at 1 visit not possible but all the dishes are so tempting and authentic Bengali is always awesome and the best one is the Daav Piece after the food😋
Finger licking food was delivered to my address tonight and as I relished it licking my fingers with every bite. I promised to myself - I will visit this restaurant in the weekend.
If that doesn’t convey the taste of the food and the excitement I have in me. Then look for my upcoming review by Sunday. Aha!! Ki khelaam.
Being an Assamese you can either keep searching for nearby restaurants serving you Assamese cuisine or Bengali cuisine. This place came as a blessing, but slightly expensive one. They serve authentic Bengali dishes and I have loved them every time I ordered them for home delivery. I never visited this restaurant. I tried their Mutton Kosha, Chicken Kosha, Dhokar Dalna, Rui Maach Kalia, Bhetki Maach Paturi, Chicken dak banglow. All of their items were fresh, lip-smackingly delicious and good in quantity.
***This restaurant delivers only through Swiggy.
The only drawback I feel as a customer is the price list. I agree that it is a cuisine different from the region it is located in, but the items have been marked quite expensive. As a food lover, I would suggest reduction in the prices will help attract more customers.
As always they deliver you awsum authentic bengali food..dont mind paying a premium for such quality..for non vegetarian this is absolute delight
Introduced all my non Bengali friends to this place and they absolutely LOVED it. The place small and simple but the food is bomb! Doi chicken and chicken kosha with Bangla pulao are favourites. And the fish roll and jhuri aloo bhaja resonates perfection! A must visit for lazy Sunday afternoon. Highly recommended!
A great place to try out some authentic Bengali food...loved the Mutton Dak Banglo and the Chicken Rezala ....The Chicken Biryani is also a must try with the addition of potato and egg which is classic Bengali....The ambience is small and neat...The service is quick and upto the mark...Should definitely visit this place if you are a foodie....
The location is an irrelevant factor to a Bangali when it comes to good food, and especially "Bengali" cuisine in a new city. Aha! Baangali does a good job in captivating the presence of lip-smacking dishes, while keeping the budget on check.
Located near Columbia Asia in Kharadi, Aha! Baangali is easy to locate. Upon entering, don't expect to be swoon over by exquisite Bengali culture or thematic experiences. On the contrary, the place is small and can accommodate 16 people at best. However, soulful Bengali tracks acts as an excellent backdrop. Now, coming to the best part;
Bangla Pulao: It is a rarity how one of the rice variants become your instant favourite and tops every other dish. With minimal colouring and spices, this is a testimony to the traditional Pulao found in Kolkata. The quantity is enough to satiate one hungry demon.
Chicken Dak-Banglo: An excellent dish to go with the Pulao, and they serve standard meat pieces.
Chicken Kosha: Spicier than the Dak-Banglo, and the curry is thick enough to eat with Rotis or Paranthas.
Doi Kaatla: "Maache Bhaate Bangali Ami": Fish and Rice is an imperative combo for a Bangali no matter where he stays. This Doi Kaatla reminds us of the gargantuan Belly pieces draped in a thick gravy made with curd. They serve two pieces of Kaatla for 260, a steal deal.
Daab Paayesh: I was surprised to see this in their dessert section. Honestly, it is tough to find this one in Kolkata as well. Instead of cooked rice, you will find two large pieces of tender coconut.
Interesting Fact: The place is owned and managed by a Bengali crew, and courteous enough to make you feel at home. Do drop by this place, if Bengali cuisine is in your check list.
Just one word - 'Yummy'. This restaurant reminded me of my home. Bengali food served with love. I left this place with a happy tummy and a nostalgic mind. Every dish showcased simplicity and authenticity at the same time. And to make it super special I had the best 'Misti Doi' of Pune here.
The food was awesome. way too good. proper Bengali spices and marinade making the fish lip smacking awesome.
would recommend everyone to try the food. you will cherish every penny spent.
Wow if u are a bengali plz visit.
Afternoon 3.30 pm it closes.
Food is absolutely delicious. If you are into authentic Bengali taste topped with minimal oil, this is the place to be. Nothing was dripping with oil, which was the best part. From the outside and decor the restaurant seems basic, however Aha Baangali makes up for it with the food. Posto Bhetki was amazing.
I never had Bengali cuisine before and this was my first experience of trying some of bengali dishes. We tried Fish thali and Bhetki Jhaal and the taste was yummm. We really liked the food and experience was nice. The restaurant is little small but it's a worth going to this place if you love or want to try Bengali cuisines. Also, their tomato chutney is lip-smacking:)
It's a little area in Kharadi that's easy to overlook if you're not paying attention.
There isn't much in the way of atmosphere, but the cuisine is rather nice.
We had four appetisers and four main courses, ranging from vegetables to chicken to fish, and they were all delicious.
The chicken devil egg🥚 was the highlight of the appetiser.
We ordered Rosogulla for dessert, which was really soft and not overly sugary. Excellent craftsmanship
Overall, a really pleasant experience.
And my gf loves this place ❤️
New bengali restaurant in this part of the city.
The ambience is surely not something to talk about, but the food and service definitely is.
Ordered Cola Masala, Kabiraji Chicken for starters. Though the cola lacked fizz, it tasted good. Kabiraji was deep fried, oozing oil, yet tasty and a first time for me.
Of all the chicken items, I was intrigued by Sunderban Chicken. Ordered with parathas. Tasted good, with a prominent taste of mustard.
The bread options are only limited to paratha and luchi. Overall the food was satisfactory, but some polishing of the experience is required.
The cutlery was not very clean and the food presentation can be a bit better.
Old kolkata style cabin setup. Food is amazing. Authentic bong taste!! Fish cutlet is a must try.
Nice Bengali food. We had the deviled eggs cutlet and fish curry and prawns masala which was amazing!
Too good service, polite staff, delicious Bengali food with a lot of cuisines. As I am a non-vegetarian & thus I explore different tastes of Indian cuisines.
This location is new as they have just shifted from Kharadi to Amanora area, hence renovation is still going on...
The must go to place in Pune if you are a Bangali. Well lit, with a very neat and clean arrangement. The behavior of all the staff is very polite and cordial. And talking about the food. Super, finger licking awesome. Try the all famous "mishti doi"!
Good Bengali food. The starters, the thali and the biryani good. Also deserts are tasty though priced little higher.
Must try for Bengali food. Place is small and neat.
One of best places in pune for filling bengali meal. All the bengali curry dishes and rice items are very very tasty. The only downside for me was the Biriyani.
Good food, the restaurant is too small. Maximum ten people can be accommodated at a time. AC was not working.
Great place to visit if you love Bengali good.. the interior is quite good.. we had veg food as my partner was vegeterian.. they have added sugar in all the dishes which was quite new to both of us.. we ordered aloo posto, aloo Dom, paratha, babynan, chollar daal, roagulla, daab payesh , rasmalai..
The only thing I was dissatisfied was the rasgulla which was not fresh.. other than that everything was awesome.. the combination of paratha n cholaar daal was the best I ever had..
Looking for authentic Bengali food in Maharashtra, this is the place. Our server Ranjan was polite and took good care
Highly recommended
Wonderful food here. Tried quite a few dishes... Loved them all. Didn't try any sweet dish as we were in a rush. Slightly less space I would say.
