This is a small joint in kothrud near karishma chowk. The seating arrangement is limited and cannot accommodate large groups. They serve a variety of dosas and uttapa. They also have sandwich, pav bhaji, paratha and pulav opts. The chatni they serve is really amazing. It is dominated by flavour of groundnuts and is a bit sweet. What we ordered-
1. Sponge Dosa : This one is very soft and spongy. They serve 3 sponge dosas in a dish and it is quiet filling. They also serve potato sabji alongside which was bit overcooked. I personally like them with the chatni.
2. Amul Cut Dosa : This dosa is covered with a layer of potato sabji in the inside. The dosa is then cut into small pieces and served with green chutney.
3. Pavbhaji Cut Dosa : This cut dosa is my personal favourite. The dosa is covered with a layer of Pavbhaji in the inside. It is also then cut into pieces and served along with chatni. Definitely try this.
4. Shezwan Cut Dosa : This dosa is covered with a layer of shezwan sauce which was very much spicy and topped with onion. The dosa is then rolled and cut into pieces and served with chatni. Try this if u like spicy food. U could also add cheese to mild down the spice for 20rs extra.
newly added in swiggy Mankar dosa it has many branches in pune i am regular customer since childhood their paud rd outlet near dashbuja ganpati temple had been closed. sandwich was fresh and tasty packaging was also good in shop menu it is printed amul onion tomato uttappa but in swiggy menu its not dont be confused to bombay uttappa it consist of aalu sabji but their chutney is really awesome
They have many branches in Pune (there are a few fake Mankar Dosa shops imitating their t shirt & similar counter, menu structures) The one near Karishma soc, kothrud is one of the real Mankar Dosa branches.
Have tried multiple dosa/ uttappa varieties here & all were good in taste. I specially like their green chutney, which is kind of sweet :-) amul cut dosa is my fav.
Only negative is; a bit on higher price side, considering it's not a hotel but a self service kind of eatery.
One of the best place to have variety of south indian dishes. Place is small. But quality and taste is the best. And also pocket friendly. Must visit place in kothrud.

Mankar name known for Dosa and specially their chutney. This branch has very less seating area. But about their Dosa they are awesome.

This place is so good to enjoy dosa's. I usually prefer Loni Sponge Dosa and it's way too good. Actually it's a must try. Other than that you also have so many options as there are many other outlets of different food nearby. Also mankar has this awesome and unique chutni.
My Personally favourite DOSA Joint in Pune. Specially Mankar Dosa Karve Road Outlet. Mankar special Chutney served with Dosa's Make it extra special. No the Outlet will provide you such tasty Coconut chutney. Mankar Dosa is on Paud Road in Kothrud opposite Desai Bandhu Aambewale.
Probably the best joint for South Indian snacks.
However it has only Dosas and Uttappa on its menu. But here you get a large varieties of Dosas and Uttappa made purely in Amul Butter.
Typical preparation in a hygienic way and consistency in taste over the period of time makes the joint popular in the vicinity.
Amul cut masala dosa and onion Uttappa are among the order in my visits here. Particularly I like the Amul onion Uttappa with lots of onion in it and butter pouring over it. It takes perfect.
I don't think there is any other place in the city which serves such a heavy Uttappa. The chutney served along with tastes good too.
In my last visit I noticed they have started the counters for Pav Bhaji and Veg Pulav in addition to their unique Dosas and Uttappa.
Limited sitting here..they should do something about it. It's inconvenient especially on weekends.
Parking is a problem here...need to park vehicle at some distance. Even if you are in a hurry don't park in No Parking zone otherwise it will surely get towed.
A must visit place with friends and family.

Located right beside kothrud's famous hanuman temple. A controversy surrounds this outlet as there exists another outlet with same name which used to serve great dosas and uttappums near Nav sahyadri society. This particular outlet serves food with better quantity for sure.
Uttappums are of sumptuous size... chutny is always tasty but they tend to make it lil more spicy now and then...

On the way to home, I stopped at this place, and ordered one plain cheese dosa, something different from plain and masala dosa.
It took only 5mins,and my dosa was ready.
I was disappointed that they don't give sambhar with it, just coconut chutney and that too sweet:(
But when I took a bite of dosa, it was simply awesome, loved it!!

My friends suggested me to visit this place for one of the best dosas in pune all i can say is i enjoyed. The chutney they served really awakened my taste buds but they have some room for improvement in dosas. Other than that service is good i give 4/5

A good place to drop by and have a quick bite of a tasty Dosa or Uthappa at quite reasonable rates. The cheese tomato onion uthappa being my favorite dish here. The chutney is tasty as well.

I had eaten at their original Branch on Satara road and was happy when a branch opened near my place.
The Chuntey is my favorite so I usually opt for Plain Dosa ( crispy and with some teekha Masala sprinkled) but the usual masala dosa and onion uttappa is also good. The Exotic fusion Dosas like regular Cut Dosa , Pav Bhaji Cut Dosa , Shezwan cut dosa and the noodle Cut dosa are also tasty and filling.
Price is modest and definitely VFM.
Do expect a lot of rush in evening time especially on weekends as it is crowded.
The owner & staff is also very good and friendly ( mostly in afternoon and Evening time) as it is low rush.
Had visited this place 4-5 times, everytime I tried different Dosas and uttapas..The taste is too amazing that I always forgot to click the pictures of the items I enjoyed here. Amul/cheese Tomato Uttappa is very tasty..They also have an extension counter for Pav bhaaji and Pulao..I recently tried Tawa Pulao from there which was really nice and worth trying..According to me,Its the best Dosa center in that area..

But this place took my attention . Suggested by few cousins live there. Great dosa's really love the taste . My full love drop was for the tomato dosa great recipe and made amazingly .
I have Been here many times. Taste of dosas and utthapas is good, but not very special. Prices are little higher though.You will get the same with different types, like masal AMUL dosa (It's amul butter nothing else), Cut Amul dosa.same with the Utthapas.They don't serve samber (Green Chatni is just too good). But it doesn't matter because are good to have it with out Sāmbhar. In evening you might have to wait for 30 minutes or something. this place is considerable for the quick snacks not for the dinner.

Dosa and Uttapam with a marathi touch. Its the only place in Kothrud where I enjoy south Indian. (they only serve Dosa and Uttapam). Prices are bit higher considering size and the fact that they don't serve samber (Chatni is just too good, you don't need samber). But it doesn't matter because are very yummy. Its no wonder that you will waiting in evening hours. They also have some delicious kulfi.

If you want to eat dosas or other dosa related items, this is the place to go. Its a pure dosa place so don't expect idlis or anything else of that sort.
They have a lot of outlets throughout pune and I guess the quality of food at all of the places is more or less the same.
I just looove their amul tomato utappa. They are very generous with the tomato-onion-coriander topping and also with the butter. And the chutney they give is just so amazing! You'll end up having just the chutney even after the dosa is over. Really really good chutney.
Ambience - well its a street food place but still they've kept a few chairs. 2 wheeler parking is available. If you're lucky enough you might also get 4-wheeler parking.
I found the place clean and hygienic as per street food standards. And cost wise its cheap and completely worth it. And quantity wise its enough for a one course meal. Totally satisfying.
Being a South-Indian, I just can't live without Dosa's & Uttappa's! Mankar dosa's is one of the best know places where you can have a good meal for comparatively cheap cost. The most popular dosa in this place is the "Amul Sada Dosa" where the person who makes the dosa practically uses half a slab of butter to roast the dosa.
Another good thing is the chutney that accompanies each dosa. I just love that chutney.
The only complaint I have is the overall cleanliness of the place & most of the times if you do not reach in the early hours of evening, due to popular demand, this place runs out of raw material and closes down early.

Been here quite a few times now. Taste of utthapas is good, although not exceptional. Prices are a little on the higher side though (ranging from 35 upto 75) considering the fact that there are great dosa/uthappas at other cheap road joints.
It's a quick serve place only for variety of dosas and pavbhaji. There are many different varieties of dosas are served here. Also a counter for pavbhaji and tawa pulao. This is self service place.
There is a crowded sitting in front of shop where one can sit and eat. It usually takes 5 minutes to get your food ready. They don't serve dosa with sambar but there is really scrumptious coconut and peanut based green chutney which goes well with dosa.
They also serve tawa pulao which is also popular. Mankar dosa is a franchise and this one is one of it's outlet.
Definitely worth a visit when you need a quick and easy meal to satiate you hunger.
Best Dosa place in Pune. Amazing taste and well sized proportions. Goes perfectly well with the side dishes (Chutney and Raita). Nearly impossible to stop over eating.
Those who are saying in their reviews that Dosa doesn’t taste good here must be those Punekars who’ve never stepped out of the city and tasted authentic Dosa, goes to cheap Dosa stalls which uses red chilli techa on Maysore masala dosa and gives 10gm Potato and charge ₹50 for that.
Those Punekars should try Pav bhaji over here, but again that is a Punjabi dish so I don’t think they can saviour the real taste of the amazing Pav bhaji served at Mankar Dosa.
I think this is one of the best dosa joints in Pune. It's a small place and can accommodate only 7-8 people but the food they make is pretty delicious. Try Masala Dosa, Amul Tomato uttappa, Amul Kanda tomato uttappa. Cheese Dosa, cheese tomato uttapa. These are my favourites. They also have sandwiches, pav bhaji n stuff but if u ever come here u must try the dosa, or Uttappa. The mint chutney is the key. The place is affordable as the dosas prices range from 50-120 bucks depending on what u order.
Although u are not entirely comfortable while eating as there are no table, and only chairs. U have to carry your plate on your hand while eating or keep it on another chair. But for the tasty dosas, I wouldn't mind that much.

Been here many times. I would recommend getting simple dishes like plain/masala/sponge dosa. The creative types of dosas are too much flavour. The seating is congested. But if you love good southern food just for food then do visit.
