As a north Indian, this place made me fall in love with Chennai. I have been ordering food from this place for since last 373 days . Once their zomato ordering was closed so I went to their kitchen and when I was close I did not need Google maps anymore, it was the aroma . Girl friends may dump you, best friends will get married and Dhoni might get run out again but the flavour of chicken 65 and mutton biryani will stay consistent . Namma Chennai..avadiya....I love madraz biryani AAA...
The best place for Chennai Biryani in Pune. I've tried almost all the restaurant in and around baner, wakad, hinjewadi but never found our Chennai rowthar taste biryani anywhere except here. Ordered Mutton biryani and the mutton pieces were so tender and soft. To all those craving for our south biryani try out this place.
P.S- as of now they do not have a dine-in option only take away.

This restaurant serve biryani Very much close to authentic south india biryani. Brinjal curry and chicken 65 combination with biryani reminded me of south india. A must try place with great value for money. Food is hygienic and of good quality.
My walk-in experience at Madraz Biryani was one of the most refreshing and delightful in every sense.
Their business and operating model is self sustaining and extremely efficient.
Their kitchen is highly impressive, with highly trained and reliable staff. The biryani is cooked on wood fire, which is the historical way to cook it - slowly and on a steady natural flame, which gives a smoky taste & flavor to it.
The combo is value for money, compared to other biryani shops I have tried.
The place is perfect from small dinner munches to large party orders.
Madraz Biryani, you guys rock! Ensure you keep the taste, cost and awesome service unchanged in the long run!
The taste of Madras
Ordered through Uber Eats - Chicken Biryani Combo
Oo you gonna be flattered by quality and quantity too
They give you 1 Sufficient Packet of Chicken Biryani which has 2 big pieces, a gravy, Raita.. And not only this
Also they give 3-4 Small pieces of Chicken 65, their famous Brinjal Curry, A Sweet Dish and Cold Drink
Look at the pics ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I took a leap of faith and decided to try the biryani from here.. I swiggy-ed it (sorry Zomato).
For the first time in two years I finally got authentic Ambur style biryani and chicken65 which obviously was mind blowing. For South Indians here, as in if you're really from Bangalore/Chennai, Madraz Biryani is close to home food.
I am so glad to have made this discovery! Thank you guys 😭
** Food is not only good ....but they truly value their customers as well ! ! ! ** :-) :-))
Thank you Ms. Jyothi, Madraz Biryani ! ! ! :-) :-))
Food - Very good taste of Chennai style biriyani. It is served along with raita, brinjal curry and sweet. The complimentary sweet (kesari) is awesome! Biriyani is non spicy and doesn't feel heavy after eating.
Packaging and presentation - Super good.
Excellent take away option for South Indian taste lovers...! Good new variety as there are very few joints serving south indian style biryani in Pune.
A great taste of authentic Chennai style Biriyani ... its my second time here ..awesome Mutton, chicken & Egg biriyani ...Brinjal curry & kesari sweet are too good . A rich treat for your taste buds ...the best i have tasted so far in Pune...great food sense , well done !!
i recommend this place to all Biriyani and non-veg lovers ..
I am not a big fan of ordering food online but this turned out to be a pretty good experience.
I ordered chicken dum biryani . It was complimented with 2-3 chunks of chicken 65 , kesari ( sweet) , brinjal curry and raita.
Biryani was goooood but only thing it lacked was chicken pieces , way too less.
The best thing about whole meal was kesari , damn that thing tastes awesome!
Brinjal curry uplifts the taste of biryani!
I would like to try more of their menu for sure!
Happy #eating .
I ordered Biryani comba, Biryani is good and but chicken 65 is not good at all. Only Bones were there..sweet is fine..Need to make better chicken 65
From the time I moved from Chennai to Pune, I have been searching for good biriyani but was never satisfied. Though Pune does have some good food to offer, the quality of biriyani has been abysmal thus far. Or at least in all the biriyani places that I have ordered from. But then I stumbled upon Madraz Biriyani!!!! ERMAGAD!!! IT IS SO GOOD AND AMAZING! It reminds me of home. And even the thayir patchadi is amazing. I mean, till date, I've received watery buttermilk and raw onions as thayir patchadi but this is the first time I'm having authentic thayir patchadi. Everything - from the biriyani to the brinjal curry to the thayir patchadi to the kesari is BRILLIANT.
YOU GUYS HAVE MADE ME SO HAPPY. I've been ordering food from you guys for the past two weeks continuously (so unhealthy but hey when good food is rare, you gorge on it) and I don't think I'll stop. I really hope you guys keep this taste going. Please know that you have given me one good thing in Pune. Thank you.
P.S. I still haven't tried the kushka yet, which is my favorite as I am not a huge fan of chicken pieces but crazy for just the rice and I have been disappointed till now while ordering khushka. I will update the review after I try it here. Though I am sure it will be awesome.
Sorry no pics. We wolfed down the good food as soon as it reached us.. We were hungry and I kind of went overboard with the ordering, so we have enough food to last till dabbas packed for lunch tomorrow.
That apart, the biryani is accompanied with kanda raita and a lip smacking brinjal curry that can be a seperate dish on its own.
Value for money. Brilliant food and I can't even describe how much I enjoyed the brinjal curry. Try this. The biryani is perfectly spiced. I have a block against seeing tomatoes in a biryani, trust me this was an exception.
Do try this!
Actually my rating is 3.5.
I ordered only Chicken 65 from this place. It was delivered well within time.
It had 10-12 small pieces of chicken marinated well in medium spicy 65 masala and perfectly fried.
It certainly makes good snack.
Based on my experience I am looking forward to taste their Madras style Biryani.
Will update my review again in future.
food taste was awesome and quantity was good.. sweet and other stuff was so amazing... now i am always prefer mandraz biryani
Finally the place to eat authentic Tamizhnadu style biriyani rather pulao. Ordered Veg, Chicken, and Mutton biriyani (multiple times) and all are not only tasty, but good quality as well. Don't forget to try brinjal curry that comes wd biriyani. I recommend this place only for biriyani (both veg and non veg), but not for other items.
Biriyani rating :4/5
Others: 2/5
My first order today for mutton Biryani from this place . Having read that they offer the typical South Indian version of Biryani I knew what to expect and must say that I liked it very much . Down south I have had the Ambur Biryani and Thalapa Kuttu Biryani and this one came close to it . However people should know that this is a distinct Madras version Biryani and should not be comparing it to Hyderabadi or Mughlai Biryani .
Super fast service in a nice package . Also
Got a complimentary sweet dish . Keep it up
Guys .
best Biryani in baner. Rice was perfectly cooked, chicken pieces were perfectly cooked as it has to be. I would definitely recommend this biryani
I am writing this review after eating veg biryani multiple times...I ll recommend to try this biryani n you ll definetly enjoy...this is not typical masala biryani.. healthy...i did visit its delivery center..n must say owner has taken care of hygine...so one of the healthy food option with different taste...for those who want to try something new...
authentic ambur style... I like it very much
very healthy and non acidity food packed very well and delivery on time
Awesome food. I just love the Mutton Biryani, on time service. Thanks
Biryani should be little bit more spicier as you provide raita in addition, so it will balance out the spice on mixing. So there is a scope of increasing spice. Otherwise, biryani is awesome and tastes very delicious.
First of all I did not expect it to be this authentic, so far the best Chennai biryani, we went to dine there and that was a disappointment. However coming to the review the best mutton biryani which I had pune till date, hope everyone from pune would love this. Just give this a try!! Well done!wish you guys start a proper restaurant !
I ordered chicken 65.taste is really good
delivery on before time very good
Great food! Very polite and professional people. They educate the customers and serve really good food. I have reordered multiple times. Best biryani I have had in Pune. The flavors are just right!
Delivery guy wasn't Road runner agent from Zomato. Anyway food was delivered on time without any address confirmation calls.
Biryani was delicious in terms of taste. I had ordered Chicken Dum Biryani. This is not a typical Biryani what we normally have. Don't go over the color and looks. Southern flavour. Try it if you want some change. Overall experience is good. Brinjal Curry is a weird combination with a nonveg biryani!
Excellent taste, awesom quantity, beautifully packed. its a must try for all. and they even gave complimentary sweet
Ordered a chicken briyani and chicken 65 . I never expected that I would taste a real authentic South Indian briyani and chicken 65 in pune .was really impressed with the quality & taste for this price. To top it all last but not the least the complimentary kesari was too good a dessert after a wholesome dinner. Hats off to the guys who make it . Keep up the good taste .
Chicken 65 was tasty and delivery was super fast
superb packing, good food brinjal curry was awesome. thanks for complimentary's
Awesome briyani taste. I missed my TamilNadu briyani in Pune. But after tasting, it was awesome. Thanks for giving this wonderful briyani. Nanri
We had placed a party order for 15 of us. We ordered 2 Kilo chicken biryani, 1 kilo veg biryani and pepper chicken curry, chicken 65, gobi 65 large. Food was tasty and was sufficient for all of us. They gave us complementary sweets (Pinaaple Keshri) which was super tasty. I felt happy to get Madrasi style biryani finally in Pune. Please start delivering around Wakad areas pls.
good tasty but it was quite less than I expected
very nice taste...
you can experience best food and on top of that the best service...
loved it. a different type of biryani than the traditional one. best. got chi 65 and complementary sweet halwa.... keep it up
It was tasty but not fit for the price.
I ordered egg biryani.Great food,loved it
Biryani has got a new definition everyone should atleast try it once nd the brinjal curry is the whole new thing that can be done to a brinjal quality is superb nd the services are cherry on top A must try
One of the best biryani delivery restaurants in town. Taste is amazing and the quantity is also good. You get three sides with the biryani such as raita, brinjal curry and a keshar sweet (pineapple shira) overall the biryani experience was very good. Must try the biryani and their executive biryani packs.

Mutton biriyani is the best. Chicken biryani was less spicy and can improve in taste.. Always surprise us with some on the house sides which are really tasty. Should add those items such as mutton gravy and bisibelabath also in menu..
nice flavoured Biryani.. just quantity needs to be more.
The chicken was very tasty and liked the lemon flavour. It was also very crispy.
The biryani was very good too and has captured the south indian flavour! The tangy and spicy brinjal curry as an accompaniment to the biryani was the highlight.
biryani was good ... but you garlic in every bite irretates.
i loved the biryani, this is exactly like how we get it in chennai. I wish they start sit in options soon. This is my weekend special and all my friends are all enjoying too.

Madraz Biryani, you guys rock! Ensure you keep the taste, cost and awesome service unchanged in the long run!
Tried the mutton biryani from this restaurant and loved it. They seem to have this only over the weekends. I also tried the ghee pulao with pepper chicken. it was very tasty. I find this very close to the taste of the biryani that I had in Chennai, especially the street food.. this is completely a different taste and style from the biryani we get in Pune.
At times when we place an order the food comes late, assume it is more of the delivery service. will plan to visit them one of these days.
Amazing food, infact best place for biryani in Pune.
Chicken biryani is smashing which comes along with brinjal curry, raita and sweet option as well. And they have good combos available along with meal pattern. Bread halwa is must try for desert.
Met the Owner once while dining in, she herself is running the outlet on her own bringing in authencity of flavour from South. Great place for food lovers
Atlast we found a great place to have chennai style biriyani at pune. I think this is the best place in pune to eat Chennai style biriyani. The taste, food quality, aroma and hospitality was very good. Their food menu is versatile and the price is very reasonable. The cook is also from south india. Apart from biryani they serve awesome sweets like kesari and bread halwa. They are coming up in a very big way. Thanks for providing us biriyani. We wish you all the best for your great success and bigger expansion.👍
This is a new joint in Baner, which serves special Ambur style biryani. It is a delivery/take away place. I got to try their Chicken Dum Biryani Executive Pack, which includes Raita, Brinjal curry, Sweet and Chicken 65, along with the biryani. They also include a boiled egg with every non-veg biryani. Biryani by it looks was distinct as it is inspired from a place called Ambur, and these guys made sure it is prepared by the veteran chefs from that place. And it is not similar to the regularly available biryani, which is a good thing because why not? As far as taste is concerned, biryani was yummy, the chicken pieces were juicy and tender. It was light and had the perfect amount of spice to it. And the best thing was it had no excessive oil left behind. The sweet was amazing. The accompanying chicken 65 was nice! Everything in the executive pack was scrumptious! The staff is courteous and polite. I really enjoyed and am glad to savour a new kind of biryani. I am definitely going to buy from them again. They also serve Veg, egg and mutton dum biryani. Moreover, they accept Corporate & party orders.
Loved the biryani. Very nicely cooked, reminds me of my mother's food. The taste and aroma of it is amazing! Totally worth it.
I never liked brinjal but the brinjal curry which they give is truly delicious..😍😋
And, for the sweet lovers.. Pineapple halwa will savour your taste buds! 😋😊
Madraz Biryani is a take-away restaurant near Baner. I have tasted the Veg Biryani, it tastes like home food. The packing was really easy to eat and dispose.
The Pineapple Halwa is the best in the meal. Do give it a try.
In a city where biryani usually translates to either a generic spicy Hyderabad biryani or a kewda essence laden dum biryani. Madraz biryani biryani comes across as an oasis in a dessert. The flavours are unique and representative of the Madras or chennai biryani. Served with a side of delicious eggplant curry and onion slices tossed in curd, these sides go very well in accentuating the flavours of the Biryani. If you're tired of eating the regular Biryani fare, Madraz is worth a try!
The chef there comes straight from Chennai! It can't get more authentic! I stayed in Chennai for close to 2 years and when I had the biryani for here, I was transported back to Chennai! The word yummy doesn't do enough justice to the biryani from Madraz Biryani!
