Also the Prawns gravy with rice is Parsi seafood Specialty which is very different from our Indian gravy style
The continental dish Grilled Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and veges is a good option for healthy eaters.

I ordered mutton kheema for my boyfriend as I wasn't hungry.

I had the vegetarian Manchow soup and vegetarian Dhansak (a parsi delicacy) and I usually am not a fan of it, but BAWAJEE'S surprised me. A bowlful of Dhansak daal alongside brown rice and 2 vegetable cutlets was an absolute delight.

Located in one of the many shops on the way towards Brahma Estate Apartments, BD is a home away from home: In the way the food tastes, in the way it is personally prepared by a family member (here the co-owner Mrs Phiroze), the ingredients that are used for preparing the food, the ambience, the soft music from the 60s-70s, and the joie de vivre nature and hospitality of the Parsi owners. All this and more makes up for an awesome package that you just cannot, for the love of food, afford to miss. We traveled 20 kms...all the way from Bavdhan to Kondhwa for this magical experience.
Run by a sweet, early 50s couple, BD is a 100% family-owned mom-n-pop (in this case, a Bawajee-Bawi) shop: Mr Phiroze takes care of the customers and their orders and Mrs Phrioze takes care of the kitchen. Open the door to awesomeness and get a warm welcome by the owner, Mr Phiroze sporting the broadest of smiles upon seeing his customers like they are his close relatives or friends....the warmth that this man generates with his smile works many a magic upon you that instantly feel at home.
Makes me think, with all the technology, apps, AI, Machine learning and what not that we have at our disposal, we still have not been able to or have been any closer, at measuring the power of a friendly smile and the warmth that it generates in the receivers heart.
Mr Phiroze helped us understand what's available from the menu and recommended us a few items too. We ordered Chicken Farcha, Surmai Fry for my daughter, Kheema-Pav, and Mutton Cutlets. Being an almost home-run setup, the orders took a lil more time but every minute spent waiting for the food was well-worth it. First about the winner: Mutton Cutlets with Gravy. Crispy like heaven from outside, super soft kheema inside. The kheema was very well marinated and perfectly minced; not too thick nor too thin. Just perfect. An amalgamation of flavours flood your palate. I especially like the mild flavours of Pudina, my favorite herb in the Mutton Cutlets. When had with the gravy, the Mutton Cutlet, who was previously Dr Jekyll suddenly turned into Mr Hyde. Totally metamorphosing into a different beast altogether adding more characters and more flavours to the already soulful cutlets. While I was happily relishing the cutlets, I just couldn't come to open my eyes nor could I help myself from making those mmmmm mmmmm noises. Two words to describe it all: Food Nirvana. So good, we ordered the Mutton Cutlets twice. The Kheema-Pav was excellent and tasted better with a bit of lemon in it. The Chicken Farcha, a fried, crispy version of a full tangdi, was enough to keep three of us engaged. To top it off, we ordered Lagan Nu Custard and Home-made Dryfruit Kulfi. Again, prompt helpful suggestions were given by the charming Mr Phiroze. Both the desserts were great. The Dryfruit Kulfi was a creamy delight playing jugalbandi with lots of dry fruits as the same suggests. Everything that we ordered was top notch. The service was spot on. We never once, even for a second, felt out of place or eating at a restaurant thus making our eating experience an absolute memorable one. We thanked Mr Phiroze and went our way promising to come back again and again and again!

Ordered Biryani (Prawns & Egg) & Masala Chaas which was better than most as long as you are not looking for something spicy. The quantity was very filling with a single one being enough for 2 moderate eaters.
The service was a bit lacking as we were served water late but it was somewhat made up by the very hospitable treatment from the owner which made the experience nice.
An added bonus was that they honoured Zomato Gold with a smile.
Had been waiting to go to this place since a long time to try their parsi cuisine..finally got to try..the chicken dhansak brown gravy with chicken brown rice n chicken kebabs..which was good..also tried the veg biryani which turned out to be equally good..the outside area has posters of rajesh khanna n his movies..would surely visit again.☺

Amazing place for a foodie to be . We had lunch at this restaurant and it was worth for each and every dishes we tried here. We ordered non veg platter and mutton berry pulav . Platter has so much variation ,salli chicken had the taste which will crave you to have more. Mutton berry pulav had perfectly cooked mutton and rice. It tastes amazing . I would highly recommend this place to have food for the best taste .highly satisfied . Keep it up.
I have been visiting Bawajee’s since sometime at frequent intervals each time during my visit to Pune, I must say I have always had a wonderful experience in terms of food served and the service provided by the staff. The owners are a lovely Parsi couple who themselves take individual attention to customers and make sure we have been treated well. I am a Bawajee from Mumbai and this has somehow become a place for home food away from home for me with the added advantage of getting that Parsi peg :-). I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to have Parsi cuisine.

We have been longing to visit this newly opened Parsi restaurant for quite sometime now, and let me tell you, that it was worth the wait.
We were greeted warmly by the owner herself upon entry, who patiently explained us individual dishes and guided us as to what to order.
We ordered Patra ni Machhi for starters along with Chicken Marwana Kebabs. The former was a fresh pomfret marinated in a mint sauce and baked, and tasted nice, a tad bland for our taste. That could be bcoz we tasted the chicken kebab first, and that tasted just WOW!
In the mains we ordered, the the proverbial Mutton Dhansak, which constitutes of succulent boneless mutton pieces in a gravy of vegetables and lentils, and served with caramelised brown rice. Along with chicken Sali boti, which is a chicken dish cooked in a gravy of minced chicken and a combination of spices. These also were good to taste and different from all other culinary varieties that we have tried so far. The best part is, none of the items were very spicy, and our kids enjoyed them as they well, which is a rarity in most restaurants.
The lunch was incomplete without the traditional desserts of bread pudding and Lagan nu custard. We found the former a bit on the drier side but the custard was just yumm. Not too sweet, and melt in your mouth softness.
overall a very satisfying experience, and so hungry we were, that we forgot clicking any pic!

Tried the much vaunted and recommended Bawajee's Dining at Nine Hills, off NIBM Road, Pune this weekend.This area needed some decent restaurants closer to many a localities. Being a sucker for authentic Parsi food, Bawajee's is an apt place to try Parsi cuisine. Though not like many I have tasted, it does satiate the Parsi dishes cravings we have.
The server, (old guy) was a delight!! His suggestions were awesome and his reactions to our choices were even more awesome! We ordered Paya(Goat Trotters), Dhansak, Homemade Chapatis, some Mango drink(House choice), Berry Pulao, Cutlets and Kababs. I am used to eating the spiciest versions of all these, hence for me, it was hmmmmm like - okayish. The others enjoyed. I asked for extra green chillies to go with it, which were not at all spicy. The food was a typical Parsi fare, but would have appreciated a bit of zing/spice in it. Both the Kababs and Cutlets could have been seasoned a bit more. Homemade chapatis could have been prettier with less oil :D :D :D The mango drink was an instant hit at our table.
I loved the decor! Its nice, cosy with a retro feel to it. Especially with NO WIFI!! While this may put off some millennials, +1 to the owners for trying to instill some sanity in the electronics-obsessed folks! Pretend its 1975, they say!! :) I will try their breakfast menu once and post a review. I saw a Tandoor being constructed, so looks like it will be an addition in the menu soon.
All in all a nice restaurant, with welcoming staff and delightful Parsi food. A must visit place!!

This place serves authentic parsi food. We tried their Veg biryani and it was quite good. We also ordered chicken lababdar and parsi style andaa bhurji with some Homestyle chapatis. Andaa bhurji was quite good. Their menu has a variety of fish, mutton and chicken delicacies to offer. Though less options for vegetarians. Ambience was good. It's spacious and comfortable. Staff is courteous.
The staff and service was quick, the place is clean and well maintained.
Coming to the food, I had ordered Chicken Dhansak and veg Dhansak, along with chicken pulav and some veg and chicken cutlets. The chicken dhansak was good decent chicken pieces and good taste, but the pulav was a bit dry.
But to my surprise the veg food was also very good and properly cooked, with good aroma and taste.
Must try atlest once, and if your looking for parsi cuisine, then a Must GO.
The place, staff and food is lovely. I ordered the Turkey plate, and a white chicken curry. Both items were extremely delicious! Amazing food on Easter, what more can one ask for..
I have tried every Parsi dish on the menu, and I have to say that I can't decide what to recommend as one is better than the other. My suggestion to all is everytime you visit or order, try something new.. you won't regret it! looking forward to many more yummy meals!

This was our first visit to the restaurant. The first impression is good as the decor is very nice and the super high ceiling gives a great feeling of space. The ample parking is a welcome bonus.
All the small plates we ordered - and we ordered several - were good. As were the main course items. I had chicken Dhansak and liked it very much.
Regrettably I was too full to try multiple desserts so I cannot comment on desserts. I did have Lagan nu custard.
So a usual place for my family this is an amazing place with yummy food and our favourite is the Dabba Ghosht and the Chicken Farcha and to end the yummy food fiesta is the Lagan nu custard and a must visit place for people who Love to try new places and new cuisine....

This review is a bit late. Was there last sunday hoping to really enjoy parsi food. The ambience is very simple, and the service is good. Ordered paneer tikka which was really well marinated and tasted good. The patra ni machi and salli bothi were really good especially the salli bothi which is worth a try. The dhansak which i was looking forward was a bit of a disappointment. Will be there again to try their breakfast menu.

Ordered in late afternoon for dinner to be delivered at 7pm and food was at door at 6.59pm... fantastic punctuality. Good tasty and adequate portions. Fish curry, cutlets, Salli boti was really great... Full marks. Bheja fry was more of an omelette than bheja.... May be I should have opted for bheja masala instead. Overall a great experience.
When I booked at 2.50pm, they rang me up and reconfirmed delivery time of 7pm just to say they would cook the order at 6pm.

Since moving to Pune from its neighbouring metro, satisfying the craving for genuine Parsi food has meant having to make extraordinary efforts. On one occasion, it meant even carrying an entire packed 5-course meal from Alwarpet, Chennai, back to Pune. Initially was a little hesitant in ordering food from this place as now a days many restaurants serve anything but authentic Parsee Food .
All the initial apprehensions were turned to delight as I started my meal , had ordered mutton dhansak , mutton curry rice , mutton berry pulav and chicken Farcha through Zomato and should commend the restaurant for serving a delicious Parsee meal all the items were fresh and very close to what is a good home cooked Sunday special Parsee meal . Only grouse was the quantity of salad served 😜 .

A quaint place tucked away in kondwa pune serving authentic Parsi cuisine.what makes it awesome is the owners involvement in all things here . The cutlets are nice and light the chicken farscha was worth it better than any place in Mumbai and so was the custard .

Very nice and location is all the nearby areas.
My visits to Bizzbay Mall are to the veterinarian's, Petcetera Clinic. For vaccinations, treatment, grooming, dog food and pet products. They perform surgeries also at the Clinic. What is most convenient is that I can leave my dog for grooming, blow dry, mail trimming, even haircuts, make the fellow feel like like a million bucks.
