Fatayer are excellent they taste like Authentic Arabian taste. It’s quite filling. Thanks for getting us this taste in city of Pune.
Falafels and cheese fatayer have same taste as use to have in Kuwait
If you love Arabian food, do yourself a favor and go here. It's Yummm!!! Their Mushakkal is crazy good!
Brought up in Kuwait I have innumerable memories of food, places, people and my country ❤ ( yes I lived there for 16 years)
When we shifted to Pune I would everytime try finding a place and food close to what I found and gorged in Kuwait 😊 I went crazy finding the best shawarmas. thank God marrakesh was something pretty close to the shawarma's back home so my yearning for shawarmas was handled well.
So yeah I was and am crazy about the middle Eastern cuisine ❤
Coming back to the post . Every time my parents come from Kuwait I ordered a dish named arrice and zatar.
And finally after 9 years in Pune I found something close to back home.
So recently I saw some post regarding a place opened for specialising in zatar. I quickly started following rather stalking them on Instagram and Facebook 😂😂
I was so excited to try the zatars and the other specialities they offered I coaxed my husband to take me here to face my wrath 😂😂
We went around 7:30ish and guess what the uncle who is from Kuwait was also present and he kindly helped us with the seats and started helping us out as in what to order. After so much hassle to choose what we decided upon cheese with chicken fatayer, the zatar fatayer and the falafel fatayer .
The fatayer were delicious and flavoursome. Crumbly and melt In the mouth . Though it missed a little seasoning but theek hai 😊 the bread and it's aroma zoned me back to the old times.
We also ordered the open fatayer which is a slight bigger and better version of the Fatayer 😊 filing and delicious it was the perfect end to my nostalgia trip.
The uncle also gave such good insight about Kuwait and the breads and the must try fatayer and what more they plan to add . Uncle don't worry I am coming soon ❤😂
Ya habibi. This people have great taste and display, the price is bit high but its worth the taste and you gonna remember the taste of gulf country.
This was our first experience with fatayar and it was a really great experience! Cozy ambience, a very welcoming and helpful host, great recommendations, an interesting starter platter, crisp and flavourful open fatayars and truly delicious dark and heady Turkish coffee. This place is a great find!
Zomato should really give an option for user to rate a place 6/5 for places which have outperformed their expectations.
On a gloomy Sunday me and my school friend who grew up in UAE where reminiscing of our school times and talking about how we enjoyed the fatayers during those times.
Next thing we know we find ourselves at this restaurants which makes fatayers. Probably the only place in Pune to make them.
Expectations are high as the manager over here claims to be born and brought up in Kuwait and let me tell you he is an AMAZING PERSON.
Long story short. I had one of the best fatayers in my life even after being so far away from the gulf.
Initially we ordered just 1 fatayer each but we couldn't stop eating and made a bill of almost a 1000 ...!!!!
Just too good ...here are the things we tried
Mixed cheese fatayer (5/5)
Cheese fatayer (5/5)
Meat cheese fatayer (5/5)
Open fatayer with cheese and Zatar (4/5)
Hallom mortadela fatayer (6/5) breaks the scale
Sausage hallom fatayer (5/5)
And yes, this place also has some great beverages option
Turkish coffee (5/5)
Karak chai was amazing too...the first sip took me back to UAE in a heartbeat (6/5)
Total value for money.
Do try if you're a big fan of fatayers. The people from gulf deserve to know this place.
Very well baked and tasty fatayers. Specially love the special chicken closed fatayer.
However, it takes a very long time to make it. At least 25 min if there are no pending orders. Beware, you'll always be given 5min. Time at the time of placing orders.
Great food. Meat Fatayer was lovely. Amazing coffees. Leave you wanting more! This will be my weekly stop for the Turkish Coffee! Keep it up guys!
Something new, something better!
Fatayer! A whole new delicacy introduced. Well according to what I learnt there are two types of Fatayer, one is closed shaped like a triangle and other is open shaped like a thin crust pizza but not a pizza actually in taste.
You get a variety of options to order from depending what you like in or on the Fatayer. We had a chicken and mayonnaise Fatayer. I had nothing to compare to so just according to taste I can say it was delicious. Chicken was juicy well cooked, had all kinds of tasty smelling herbs , nicely seasoned. Falafel platter was also something worth eating, the hummus was actually the best part of it. Shish Taouk was like a closed sandwich, had chunks of grilled chicken, they can ofcourse make it more tasty like their others.
Ambience is good, small and cozy place.
Should atleast try due to the fact that you get something new here.
Finally one down from my ever upgrading food bucket list🤣 I wanted to visit this place since the time it had opened at NIBM but wasn’t sure about what cuisine they serve. Decided to go here for dinner with my bestie and she also agreed after seeing good reviews of it on zomato.
It’s a small place having four tables inside and some seating outside with classic interior look.
What we ordered:
1. Falafel with hummus platter
Falafel was all crispy and fresh! Perfectly cooked. Hummus was authentic too with olive oil, some herbs garnished with some tomatoes and cucumber. I tried this for the first time and yes I liked it.
2. Chicken with mayonnaise Fatayer!
This is a bang on dish. You need to eat Fatayer on your visit as it is their specialty. Triangle piece stuffed with juicy chicken stuffing. It had its own original taste.
3. Shish Taouk
This is something like a fluffy flour puff with loads and loads of chicken and veggies stuffings. I found it bland. A little more flavour to it would have bought it to another level.
And yes the people! The owner and his family were really very sweet and friendly. Especially uncle explained us how few things are cooked, he also helped us as what we can order.
Price is reasonable. Worth the food.
Must visit.
Proper authentic Arabic taste! I used to live in dubai and it’s the exact same taste! The best!
Eating it brought me back to the streets of dubai! Hoping to visit it again!
Ya Habibi Fatayer is a small establishment within the confines of Kondhwa that serves a niche Arabic dish which is popular in most of the Gulf unions. It's a standard menu with very few deviations so since we hadn't tried the food before the recommendation from the Host was the Hummus and Falafel for starters along with Meat & Cheese Fatayer and the Chicken & Cheese Fatayer. The Falafel was outstanding and the Hummus top notch beating even the likes of the falafel of Arabian Delight which is down the road. The Closed Fatayer which imbibed the Mozzarella and the Mutton mince was cheesy, stretchy and possessed a goodness which put a smile on my face.
The place is run by a close knit family which is open to feedback and are courteous and warm. The slight irritation is the odd stools they have for chairs but apart from that I couldn't see any flaw elsewhere. I wish them luck...
The only place for fatayeerr!! Awesome food! Loved the falafel platter with hummus.
Ambience could have been better...but overall great experience.
The most authentic Middle Eastern fare that I have tasted in Pune. The Fatayer, Hummus Platter & Turkish Coffee all are Top Notch. A 'Must Visit' place for anyone who wants to have the authentic taste of Kuwait right here.
Went in and had the Cheese Honey Fatayer, Chicken with cheese Fatayer and Labneh with Cheese Fatayer. They were delicious. Perfect in make. Best Labenese Fatayers in Pune.
Quality and authentic. Meat tasted good and not overly done to give it a grilled taste. Bread was surprisingly well made too.
Meat and Cheese is my favourite fatayer and it's also what i liked the most in this place too. I'll visit again.
A nice Arab touch on nibm road. Loved the open fatayer which we ordered. It was zatar cheese open fatayer. Just like an Arab version of a pizza.. generous amount of cheese and was delicious. Priced at 200, a bit on the higher side. Lot of other options to chose from.. try it.
As we entered, the place gave us such a good vibe. And Uncle greeted us with so much warmth, we enjoyed the wait till the food arrived. Fatayer never heard about this food before but it’s just awesome. A perfect place for cheese lovers.
Arabic authentic food called fatayer, taste wonderful as same as expected I would surely suggested everyone to try I tried special meat, well done!!!
So after I saw a pic and read a review about this dish called fatayer thought of trying out a middle eastern cuisine. I had never tried this food before so wasn't sure about the taste. I went here with my lil daughter and husband to try out this interesting cuisine. A very sweet uncle greeted us with a smile and upon telling him that we had never had this kind of food he explained us everything in detail and suggested us what we should try. We tried their hallom full which had cheese herbs and olives. Then we had cheese and chicken fatayer and a cheese zatar. I don't know how the authentic taste is but I am sure this is how it should be.. it was just perfect for our tastebuds. My 3 yr toddler hogged on the fatayer. We simply loved the taste. Would certainly recommend this place ..

Have been eyeing this new place for a few days and got a chance today to try their food
The specialize in Arabic/Saudi cuisine (as the owner said.. I am new to this cuisine and this was the first time I tried something like this)
They serve variety of Fatayer (sandwich/baked stuffed bread / baked stuffed roti)
Today I tried their meat and cheese..
As soon as the my plate arrived it looked stunning and the Aroma was amazing.. The fatayer was filled with Mutton and cheese(they use a blend of different cheese)... And was seasoned with Arabic spices.. Was served with garlic dip(they give u a choice of dip)..
This tasted delicious.. Fresh baked layers.. Perfectly crisp from the outside and that cheese and meat filling was absolutely divine
Everthing is made fresh
They have a vast menu and the owner (Mr abbas) said they Wld be adding more items soon including some authentic grilled meat
I Wld be back very soon.. Can't wait to try the other food items In the menu
Service was fast
Though being a small outlet.. The place is super clean and dine up very nicely.. Gives u a feel good factor
Vfm place.. Food item range from ₹80/- to ₹120/-
An awsome place to try middle eastern Fateyar. Beautiful ambience. Just loved the place I will strongly recommend everyone to go and try out this pocket friendly Food joint.
Finally, Pune's got this one AMAZING Arabic restaurant I've been waiting for since a long time.
My top 3 picks would be :
1. Labnah Mortadella
2. Chicken with Cheese
3. Sausage with MozzarellaCheese
(Also do try out the Falafels, they're served hot & taste delicious)
It's recommended to dine in as these Arabic dishes taste best when served hot! ✌️
Finally the crave for fatayer is over , Thank you guys for getting the authentic arabic taste , Amazing food , thank you for opening it in Pune :)
This place serves authentic Arabian food. I had chicken and cheese fatayer and meat cheese open fatayer. It was freshly baked with good but subtle flavours.
The quality of crust was really good. It was soft and crisp at places. It was not chewy at all.
FYI - If you like only spicy food this is not a place for you.
Those looking for authentic middle eastern cuisine.... It's here....
We had shawarma platter and falafel platter. It was awesome and close to being authentic middle eastern. We were so busy enjoying it that I almost forgot to click pics for the review. Ambience is good and charges are reasonable. The owner, Mr Abbas Mala, shared with us some insights on middle eastern cuisine. This place is a must try. Don't forget to get your share of free dessert fatayer after uploading on Instragram.
They really do serve authentic fatayer. Hummus was perfect to our taste buds and the best dish was falafel..just amazing. My husband is gonna be a regular visitor for sure, and anytime he visits Pune he will definitely come here for his love for Arabian food.

Came back to this lovely place after 4 years and there are so many new things to look forward to specially the desserts and shakes
Mint chocolate shake 😍
Chocolate Orange Fatayer
Honey Cheese Fatayer
If you are looking for something heavy go for 'Special Meat', looks small but is super filling 👌
And highlight of all Garlic Cheese Fatayer .... perfect blend and harmony of these 2 flavors ... uffff to die for ❤
Ya Habibi Fatayer
Newly opened restaurant name also different to hear but interior decoration was quite unique and menu is totally different with the different kind of test as well as food 🥘
Had areyas, cheese and meat fatayer, nutella fatayer.
The test was brilliant and the owner is very informative about the dishes prepared.
Only place in Pune where you will get authentic arabic street food. Must must must visit.
What a place, the space is utilised so neatly. The food was really good and the owner knows his food. So you know what you are eating. Very humble and loves the small things. Do give a try for some really good food and good conversation. Highly recommended
If you want to eat genuine Arabian food, with original spices and indregients from the middle East...this is the best place to visit.
Served hot and piping with a smile, and a good description of the yummy snacks and crunchies..
Great experience
Thank you Abbas and family for the most beautiful experience.
