This time I need to start new year with maharashtrian food as of I love it. So my friend suggested to visit sri murlidhar. The system was quite surprised, first need to pay here😃. After take the coupon. And sit for your lunch or dinner. Swabhiman and insult(just kidding) both I saw here.
In the thali they serve chapati, sukki bhaji, two type of gravy. Kothimbiri wadi. Buttermilk, papad, dal kadhi and masala rice.

Sri Murlidhar Veg thali is the best place in Narayan peth to have thali in affordable price. They have only three options in their menu ; full thali unlimited, mini thali limited or khichadi kadhi. It's my personal favourite because they serve very tasty gujurathi , rajasthani cuisines. It's good place for hostelites .very hygienic place. Service is very fast. I'm sure you shall love it. Do try once.

Went there on heaty afternoon a couple of days back hopeing to have their oh-so-much heard about Khichadi Kadhi. But when we actually went there, turns out they don't serve it in the afternoon! They serve Khichadi Kadhi only in the evening!
So instead of going somewhere else in raging sun of a crowded Pune afternoon, we decided to try their Thali!
That thali, let me tell you, is one of the best satwik food variety ihv ever tried..Well, at least according to me! Nothing they served was overly spicy! There was nothing in the plate that would have made my digestive system panic. Everything was just so soothing and yet so tasty! It was simple, but it's simplicity holds a lot of power within!
The unlimited thali consists of Phulka (can order up to 8 phulkas) , Kat aamti, normal daal, potato subji (gravy), paneer sabji (gravy), cabbage sabji (dry), carrot salad, dhoklas, papad, buttermilk (limited) and then..they come along with some masala rice and normal rice!
You can also order sweets which are not included in the thali. We ordered Moong Daal Halwa! It was perfect!

I visited this place on recommendation of my vegetarian friends. This place was crowded when I went in and that was the first positive sign I noticed about it. So within no time, the food was in front of me. Three types of Sabjis served with a snack, salad and dal/kadhi(I opted for the dal). The food was quite good, but it had that essence of the Thali place and I have left that tastebud behind. I usually don't like groundnut oil and I felt that the food was cooked in it. Well, a must try for the vegetarians in this area as this is one of the good thali joints which won't make a hole in your pocket.

A very cute little place with really good Gujarati food. I can say without any hesitation that it's even better than any Gujarati thali that I had even in Ahmedabad (Gujarat). Even the proportion of sugar I loved in whatever they put. The bestest thing I had at this place was their oh so delicious Aamras. It felt just great. It has a really sweet homely ambience and food as well which makes your visit all the more pleasant. Overall I would highly recommend it to anyone who is missing their home food and are looking for a decent place for lunch or dinner. Totally worth it for the money they charge. 5 stars for their excellent service and hospistality as well.

A small quanit place in mid of old Pune has it's own charm. On the first floor of an old building is this Thali place. All the thalis are very moderately priced. I had visited along with my friend on one such weekend to quench my aamras quest. And alas I not only had the freshest aamras but also the best khichdi in town. Hot piping khichdi with a dolop of ghee, was so amazing. Believe me, khichdi is one such dish which tastes best only when the minimum of ingredients and combined to perfection and yes they did it. I would surely recommend this place for khichdi and aamras lovers.
Simple thali, good taste, simple food that will remind you of home. The unlimited thali option is great. The price is very reasonable. Quantity of limited thali is good enough to fulfill one medium eater. The point to be noted is additional snacks like dhokla are available only for unlimited. And sweet is not included in the thali.

This is the first time I had visited this place, as a guest to my friends' birthday treats.
From the outside it would not seem that there are wonders inside. As you enter the main hotel, you will be greeted by the cashier (one of my friends who went there that day told me, as he had booked tables for us), then you will be guided to your (booked) seat(s).
The ambience gives a feeling of being bright amd joyful, and while having your food, it indeed feels joyful. The dinner was so great that I had repeated every detail of the menu a lot of times! 😋

I am eating here for past 3 years. If you want to join a mess, Murlidhar is the best place you can join. Food here is tasty, healthy and hygenic. There is no instance of I ever falling ill due to food here. Prices are also economical.

Vegetarians will love this place. It is value for money. The ambience is fairly good for an everyday thali place and you may have to share a table. Service is a bit slow but that's ok. For an unlimited thali, you get salad, farsan, chhas/dahi ( Rs10 extra if you want an extra glass), upto 8 phulkas which are hot and soft, 1 papad(I sometimes eat 2 and they don't mind) , 1 pulse sabzi, 1 rassa wala sabzi, and 1 dry one, kadhi, dal, rice, khichdi. They serve kadhi khichdi only on Wednesdays in the afternoon and everyday for dinner and it's THE BEST. They also serve pakoda kadhi on Mondays and I loooove this too. The pakodas are very crispy and yum. Most of the sabzis taste ok. I also love their gulab jamun for just Rs30. Highly recommended. You can visit this place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays if you wanna try out.

Sri Muralidhar veg thali is a bit upgraded version of Khanaval. We had Full thali @ ₹ 120 pp.
Though it says "unlimited", it comes with T&Cs like, unlimited upto 8 fulkas, only 1 papad & taak/dahi.
Place is very small. Barely 10-12 tables. One may ned to share a table. Place is usually full & may have a waiting time of 10-15 minutes.
Coming to food, in short "it is a value for money". Not exceptionally well, but worth ₹ 120. Sweets cost extra @ ₹ 50.
I personally liked kairi chi bhaji (Raw mango vegetable), & matki usal (sprouts), daal & sambar were good too. Fulkas served were soft & hot. Rice is bit dry.
Biggest problem is, service is very fast till the middle of your meal, then it becomes so slow that you need to find servers around & call them multiple times.
Overall it is a good value for money deal in the city area.

Service is kind of disappointing. Serving people don't really pay attention to what you are asking for. Lack in serving manners. This place is famous for their Dal Batti Churma which is served once a week.
My craving took me here on last Saturday.
We ordered two thali one with Dal Batti and the regular one.
Overall....
Food: Both thali had almost the same items expect the Dal Batti had Churma served. In my opinion Batti was too oily or too deep fried as we could make out from the colour. Churma was some what good. Dal needed to be much more warmer then it was served. Taste wise it was good. Gatte ki subji was good in taste. I had to ask twice for the Nimbu and Onion, generally in such places (where Thali is served) it is always placed on the table or it is served while the first serving. If you are just going for the Dal Batti, then this might disappoint you.
Rest food was good.
Service: Quick enough, as the place is small and they have monthly membership foodies!!! So as the lunch time approaches the dinning hall is house full.
Staff: Nice and neatly dressed.
Ambience: If you are going with family then there is a section just behind the cash counter. You might have to ask for it.
Value for money: If they can improve the quality then the prices are reasonable.
Parking: This would be a big challenge for four wheelers, as well as two wheelers.
They also have ready take away thali nicely packed.
I subscribed with Murlidhar for monthly lunch (about 9 years ago) and loved every part of it. Specially the weekend feasts.. Daal Baati churma... just awesome and nostalgic (right now). Always been a big recommender for murlidhar and don't remember how many i referred for a good Gujrati meal. Will visit it soon once again

One of the best thali i ever had in pune. A typical oldest local joint in heart of the city very close to deccan.Its a must visit for all thali lovers. Exterior of the outlet looks very ordinary. But once u enter the place the ambience is very good. In just 120 rs u get a thali consisting 10 plus items which will fill ur heart and stomach. Kadhi khichadi is a hit.

I have been to this place many times. Every time I go there I fall in love with the food. (Specially kadi-kichadi) . Comparing other places around the thali is cheaper. Its 110rs. For unlimited thali and 90rs. For mini thali. Kadi-kichadi is for 70rs and sweet is 30rs extra. 3 vegetables,dal,kadi and starter with chapati , rice or kichadi. Its prepaid service and then the waiters serve u everything. Its little marwadi style food but its awesome and worth of Ur money.

This is a thali only restaurant. It provides absolutely ghr wala Fresh Khana. We visited them at 2 occasions and both the times food was fresh. Timings are 12 00 to 3 00 and 7 30 to 10 30. And sunday remains closed. Regular thali is at 175 per person or per thali. Eat unlimited. On the last saturday of every month they keep daal bati for 230 per thali.if you in the deccan or fc road area, then this is best place to go.
