I love they have travel friendly bhel packets which makes it easier for your travel abroad or in India. It's one of the best chat places in town also that their Pani Puri and all is made in bisleri water which makes it very hygienic

Have been going to Kalyan's Bibvewadi outlet from almost 16 years :-)... Regarding taste it is same throughout all their outlets and there is no doubt that they serve one of the best lip smacking chats..One star less because this branch lacks cleanliness, they don't have insect repellent lights in this outlet hence causing discomfort because of flies. I recommend their SPDP. I have eaten here a countless times and have never been disappointed yet. If you're eating SPDP at the store, they use the actually Puris while if you're getting it packed, they use papdi instead of the puris to maintain the crunch. The Cheese cut dosa is awesome and it is served with a green chutney. However, the store is always crowded and there is no "ambience" per se.
Kalyan Bhel opened up as one of the first to sell bhel from a shop rather than a 'haath gaadi' as everyone else was used to. This was a welcome change as people wanted a hygienic option for the cheap yet delicious menu. It did work well for them and they have opened up couple of branches across the city. The lulla Nagar joint is not the same as before though.. Probably the guys working there have changed. Somehow they are not offering the same taste as before. Besides they are charging double the amount for each dish compared to the local carts around. I prefer the Bibewadi outlet as there is sufficient place for us to sit down and the taste is perfect. Yet I don't miss the chance to have a quick bite of paani puri / spdp @ kalyan bhel
Kalyan Bhel has been a well-known name in Pune for several years now. I remember several visits to this place both as a kid and as a teenager. When you want to relish Chaat without having to worry about the hygiene aspect, head straight to Kalyan Bhel.
My personal favourites here are the Panipuri and the Bhel. The best part about the bhel is that they add so many crunchy elements to it, that it does not turn soggy like the bhel at other places. They even sell pre-packed bhel packets that come with a crunchy mixture and packets of chutney, that can last a couple of weeks (or months, not sure). These are ideal for consumption during travel.
Went here at about 3 and there was nobody in there.Pani puri was excellent.Had bhel puri with no spices and the other one with spices.The consistency was really nice and the crunchiness added to the tastes of it.Finished it with the famous kulfi which was really good.Overall good value for money.They even sell pre packed bhel.
It's a must visit for those who love Bhel. Apart from variety of bhel they also serve pani puri and dosa. The taste of the bhel is perfectly balanced not too sweet nor too spicy.

One of the oldest kalyan bhels in the city . the quality has been maintained through out its lifetime and the kulfis too are very very good.. Parking is bit of an issue due to the location . (main lullanagar chowk) but all in all truly remarkable branch of the famous kalyan bhel

Undoubtedly, best bhel I've had ever. Believe me because I've even been to Indore- the chat gully city. But I think it is a bit overpriced. So the deduction of 0.5 rating. This might be the cleanest chat centre ever. Tried just the bhel and dahi puri. Looking forward to visit again.

This is not so nice franchise of kalyan bhel when talking about the outlet and quality of food. It looks like the place is crumbling down in near future. Not very well maintained. We ordered bhel, which was very sweet, like we were having some dessert. Not in a mood to try out again!

Have tried their Pani Puri, Special Bhel, Kulfi, Cut Dosa and would rate each of these as the best in Pune.
KB is slightly on the expensive side but it is extremely hygenic. Staff always have a smile on their face and service is prompt. Keep it up guys!!

The popular kalyan bhel. I gave it a try and I was intrigued by the number of types of dishes offered by these people.
The most exciting part was the idea of having a hygienically prepared bhel. That's the Indian dream, right.
The taste was good.
The interiors don't really matter as the place crowded like a flee market. You have to fight your way up to the counter and have your order.
The wait is still worth the taste.
All in all it was a good experience for me.
The best Chaat House of Pune "Kalyan Bhel"...they have all kinds of chaat and Dosas available but their Bhel is all I have had and it is too too yummy ....

As this place is nearby i frequently come here to have the best bhel and SPDP. The cut dosa is also a must try here. However lastly i did not get any cheese dishes there no sandwich no cheese cut dosaa and other cheese dishes. I asked the manager he told they have stopped cheese dishes. I wonder why they have done this, however u can try other things as well

Kalyan Bhel, the much talked about chaat place in Pune! I had shifted from Mumbai to Pune, when I was asked by one of my Pune friend, "So, did you go to Kalyan Bhel?" and I said "No". His reaction to my no was like I have done some crime by not visiting Kalyan Bhel inspite of living in Pune. Thats when I made my husband rush to the nearest Kalyan Bhel ( for me it was the Kondhwa one!).
The place is neat and clean so you feel a bit safe eating chaats here.
The bhel is tasty, but a bit spicy for me. Even after telling them "Tikhat kami" (which means less spicy in Marathi), you end up getting it a bit spicy because the vessel in which they have made the previous bhel tends to carry a bit of spice.
However, it is "eatable spicy" (if thats a word :P)
Since then, I have been a regular visitor to the Kalyan Bhel in Kondhwa.
They serve bhels, paani puri, dosa, dahi vada, kulfis. All of which are mouth-watering.
Infact, they even have take-away paani puri paani(the spicy as well as the tangy one) which we usually get and enjoy home made paani puris.
Overall, a clean, hygenic chaat corner for all the chaat lovers!

The most imp aspect of "chaat" is cleanliness which is religiously followed at kalyan bhel... Kudos for them...!!! They bring out the "Marathi" aspect with the attire/uniform they wear...
Taste wise I would say they are not consistent but still they are not bad at all... Good environment, ample of parking place, all types of Chaat delicacies under one roof... Worth eating...

After reading a lot of highly rated reviews thought of going in. I pass by this branch of Kalyan Bhel very often. Anyways I went in and ordered a Ragda pattice.
Service-
The staff is very friendly. The place is kept clean. And the serice is very quick. The utensils used are clean thoroughly and fresh veggies are used to make the desired preparations.
Ambiance-
There’s no place for the customers to sit and have their servings. Although the huge glass windows do allow the view of a busy street; which does add to the appeal of the outlet. There are two fans mounted on the ceiling, a water purifier is present for the customers and the rest are just mere counters of different servings viz. ice creams, panipuri and the usual chaat counter.
Food-
My order came within no time. And the quantity! OMG! The dish was presented and decorated exquisitely. The garnishing of coriander leaves on top of the chole and sev, made it all the more tempting. And I took the first bite! Frankly speaking, that’s the highest standard upto which the dish can be prepared. It tasted amazing. That one dish and I felt pretty much full. Totally value for money.

The dishes they serve have a different touch in each kitchen. If you love tasting with a difference their sev puri, pani puri, bhel puri, dosa's uttapam etc etc is worth a tast. Good Indian street food with a different touch. A 4.5 for their food but they loose a lot as its a street joint not a restaurant and above that hardly enough place to stand. Recommend add indian styled street pizza to the menu

This place can be easily spotted. It is situated at the corner of Lullanagar in the Gera Junction Plaza. Kalyan Bhel attracts college kids, corporate bigs alike. The ambience is good and there are no seating arrangements. The staff is very welcoming. They have become the specialist of the Bhel and Chat and which in turn attracts people of all ages. I have found it crowded almost all the time. Their service is quick for running items. You should also try their Matki Bhel, Masala Dosa and Uttapam. Their Kulfi is a must try. The jumbo size serving is very clean and it clearly shows that this place gives hygiene topmost priority. Though it is slightly expensive ,considering bhel for 50 bucks and pani puri for 30 bucks. But I feel that Quality and Quantity comes with a price!!

Cut dosa was average, i did not considered about taste. Workers are friendly and supportive. I ask some extra items for my son, without hesitate they provide it. Keep it up.
The food was a mixed bag. The Pulao was fabulous but the sandwich and the cut dosa was just average. If you are planning to dine in to this outlet make sure that you have your seat reserved or atleast call them in advance to check the rush as the dining space is insufficient and the parking space is none to zero.
This place had some good snacks option and taste is good as well. Cost is bit on higher end considering Indian snacks. Think about parking before visiting the place.

This is the quintessential Chaat and bhel corner of Pune. The place is famous for its Bhel and also for a cache of chaats and savoury titibits.
Chaat and its associated echelons was never an enticing grub on my list till I got to review some bombaiyya Chaat outlets in Dubai; instantly a fan was born.
I particularly like the Sev puri which has both sweet and savoury elements in it. The tamarind sauce is what I like best in it in an overload. The titibits they add also called farsan is fresh and crispy giving everything a crunchy outlook.
Their veg n cheese club sandwich is also nice and soft, melt in the mouth stuff.
