I was in Pune for a friends wedding. While coming back home, I thought of buying some stuff from the New Era Bakery as my friend had reccomended it for mawa cakes and other bakery items.
I got both the mawa cakes- with egg and eggless. I got brown and ahite bread both, jeera khari and maska khari.
I know I got a lot on impulse but trust me, everything was over in 3 days. And it stayed fresh till the end. Everything was absolutely amazing. Bread was soft, khari was fresh, mawa cakes were fresh too.
They also have puffs and other desserts available in the bakery but I didn't habe time for them. Hopefully next time.

they offer wide variety of cookies, bread, khari etc...tried khari and cookies in past...it was good..I love their veg puffs...they are fresh and tasty price is 15 rs for 1 puff....their paneer roll is also good but not everytime...sometimes it's very tasty and sometimes is average...price of paneer roll is 30 rs..black forest and chocolate pastry are good too....
One of my favourite places for cake & other bakery items..close to my residence all is good here..even the cakes are also very good with low price from other cake outlets..liked this place a lot

this place is perfectly located in comfort zone giving thier brans a visibility much required.
Been there many a times for fresh bread or puffs.
They have very good and tasty pav to be utilised for pav-bhaji if someone is having at home or cooking.
Also they serve good range of other stuffs:
Pattice (not too great but nice)
Rolls (ok-ok)
Egg Pattice (good one, I do have regularly)
Coconut biscuit (my fav here)
Walnut cake
pastries (sometime they taste amazing but sometime odd, dont know why!)

this ones located in balewadi, though i have tried only once for puff, but didnt like it, further they have breads kept, and few other items,
Ideal place for all kinds of bakery products ranging from Shrewsbury biscuits, varieties of freshly baked bread to chicken puffs and paneer rolls... Cakes and pastries are out of the world... The quality of their offerings is top notch and has never failed to impress me... Rates are tremendously reasonable too... Must visit!

Well this bakery has always been our top choice right from the time we moved into Baner to buy fresh breads, Puffs, and of course fresh biscuits and Pav.
I remember me and my sister going atleast 3-4 times a week to eat their Chicken puff and Egg puff. I think the Chicken puff tastes perfect with an amazing mix of masala and shredded chicken. The Egg puff is also good with a half boiled egg and some tasty masala.
I suggest anyone making Pav bhaji at home should definately buy Pav from here which are baked fresh in the morning and are humongous in size when compared to those dead, ugly blackish pav which we actually get at the local Kirana stores. Also the variety of biscuits are really worth a try and my personal favourites are the Coconut and Shrewsberry biscuits which is a little different from the ones at Kayani's but nevertheless are really good in taste. The cakes especially walnut, plain mava cakes are also pretty good. Overall I think when compared to other bakeries such as Baker's Prime in Baner this bakery is definately a better choice, cheaper and quality wise leaps and bounds ahead. The only negative could be that the bakery is tucked away from the main road near Balewadi gaon which makes it difficult to spot.

I moved in around Balewadi in mid 2013. The area had a charm to it and it's wide roads were a welcome change from the crowded by lanes of Old Pune.
Blessed with some very good eating joints, I always yearned for a decent pastry or puffs once in a while, with the cost effectiveness factor, of course.
New Era bakery is definitely a blessing in disguise. The place offers mouth watering Egg, Chicken and Vegetable Puffs, a calorie laden but extremely delectable Paneer (cottage cheese) Butter Roll, a mildly sweetened yet high on taste strawberry/ chocolate mousse cake, choco balls and tasty khaaris (tea time crunchies).
The coriander baguette is a limited item and flies off the shelves quickly and so does the raisin laden plum cake (heavenly stuff!)
The in-house baked Shrewsbury, Oatmeal, Cumin seed, Choco-chip and Pistachio cookies are quite an attraction too.
The lack of a chicken/meat baguette roll and croissants are the only reasons that avoid me from giving it a 5 star rating. Also a little bit of hygiene around the eating counters would be appreciated!
KHaving said that, the place is quite a rage with the college crowd and is equally loved by residents around the Baner/Balewadi area.
A quick mid afternoon snack or a sumptuous evening snack awaits you at New Era Bakery.
Oh yes, don't forget to wash down your baked items with a bottle of rose/pista/choco/coffee flavored milk. It feels heavenly!

Fresh cakes. Simple as that. Everything is fresh made. If you need a cake just talk to them wait 15 mins you'll get one. Everything from cookies, breads, pastries and cakes fresh made. Try one time. It's worth.

Try their chicken pattice if you want a quick bite, its good. But it's generally sold out by the evening.

A nice bakery indeed. Looking for bakery in the neighbourhood and i know i was at the right place. Moreover i also enjoyed there delicious paneer rolls. Ample space around with outdoor seating. Also there is a Chaat station inside its boundary which is equally good.
Our regular spot for getting all celebration cakes, very friendly staff and had a word with owner one day very good gentleman and very polite person
Cakes are here reasonable normally we like pineapple cake but we have tried almost all kind flavour they have
One big suggestion the colour you use is bitter in taste plzzz use very lessssss

I have been regularly coming to this place for last 3 years since we shifted to Baner. I have tried almost all their bakery products - bread, toast, khari, cakes, puffs etc. etc.
You get amazingly fresh baked bread everyday - regular and brown. very good.
Puffs - veg and chicken - regular stuff, but the freshness makes the difference.
They also have very good Pav bhaji bread, and bread loafs (long baguette like but soft... not hard). I have picked up the Pav Bhaji bread (in loads of quantity) and the bread loafs for pav bhaji and pasta parties at home. they also have a garlic version of the bread loaf... very nice with pasta. Make sure to pre-order if you want large quantities. they are very reliable in this matter.
Pastries - have tried their rum ball, black forest and pineapple pastry - all good. equivalent quality of the likes of monginis copper chocs.... at far less prices.
Have not tried their cookies much, but I am sure they must be good.
All in all, superb quality at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
Good bakery for residents of balewadi. Breads and bakery products are fresh and less priced compared to other bakeries.
Its the only bakery I like in baner area The veg and non-veg rolls are off the roof that too at a decent price.
Nice cakes and biscuits, especially the walnut cake and the egg-toast biscuit. The pattis, especially the egg patty is very delicious. Also, the different types of freshly baked breads are so good, nowadays, we have started repelling the breads used in McDonalds, and KFCs
You will love their cakes, though they have mongini, NPB in vicinity this place still has its own charm, recommended any day.
New Era Bakery is one of the few good bakeries in and around Baner. It is situated in Balewadi in front of Aditya Comfort zone. They have a good variety of biscuits, cookies, nankatais, breads, scones, cakes and pastries. They have a good variety in whole wheat which is quite good. They also have sugar free varieties. The costs are also quite reasonable.
They do have a couple of tables to sit, but haven’t really seen anyone sitting there. Mostly people pickup stuff from here in the evenings. Definitely a good option when you want fresh baked goodies.

The cookies & variety of naan khatai that you find here is awesome. And taste...is magical! My favorites here are shrew-berry cookies, aata (yes! wheat flour) cookies & naan-khatai. They also got sugar-free naan-khatai! Coconut cookies too are nice. These are so tempting that even after living miles away from this bakery (wanaworie) am tempted to go till there just to grab some more & try other varieties too! :)
Its a bakery, still they have 2 or so tables in their large veranda. I wonder how great their cakes & pastries would be. The best part is that if you are not sure how a particular item on display would taste, ask for a trial and they happily give away 1 full cookie to taste! Thats unseen & unheard for me so far. I mean literally....the staff wouldnt show a wrinkle on their temple if you tasted 4 varieties & left without purchasing any. These guys are sure going to grow huge very soon!
