First of all this is a pure veg restraunt. Secondly food here taste like GHAR KA KHAANA TYPES. For an outsider whose still trying to settle down in the new city this place is a big thumbs up. But but but i had tried Tawa paneer it was not as per expectations. Go for some south indian here they cook it well. I had tried almost everything out in their menu as its walking distance from my place. Dal fry is nice when you want to feel like you’re at home plus their chapattis.
I loved the quality and quantity of their food. I have ordered many times food from there. It is great value for menu. As their best part is their prices are low and quality is good. Their ambience is not great but if you are looking for good and tasty food this can be good choice.
Absolute value for money. The food is decent. Went there for breakfast during my few days of stay. Tried upma, kanda poha and dosa one other time, all of it was lovely.
I went here on a weekday for an evening snack. We ordered bhaji /pakoda n Bombay pav bhaji... The pakoda was a mix of chilly, potato, cucumber, Cabbage, onion etc etc. It was fun trying to recognise the pakoda was of which vegetable. The pav bhaji was Yumm.... But the bhaji quantity served is very less as compared with the other places nearby to this restaurant.

My office recently shifted to sai Chowk and the food for the inauguration was catered by this hotel. We had one panner sabji and one mix veg. Both were nice. Jeera rice and dal tadka was also nice.

Good family restaurant. Have a good variety in veg, the place is too crowded all the time. Affordable place. But ambience is not so good, I think probably because of the crowd.
Looking out for a decent and reasonable veg food in Pashan, this place is the one at which you should end your searching. Try Dal Khidchi and Jeera Aalu for a quick delight.

Greetings! It's been almost ten months since I moved to Pune and recently I've been feeling guilty (a lot) for not putting up reviews for the places I've been to. So, breaking the procrastination wall here's the first entry in Pune diaries and it's only fair to start with my most been to place - Prasanna Pure Veg. (or what I call my second kitchen in Pune).
Location: Right near a moderately busy intersection on a moderately busy road is a good location for a little more than moderately good restaurant. Following this unwritten rule Prasanna caters to the Sai Chowk locality on the Pashan-Sus Road. Easy to spot, easy to reach and adequate roadside parking (for two-wheelers at least) give the location additional brownie points.
Ambiance: Now this is the area where Prasanna needs to tidy up. The furniture surely needs an upgrade. Cleanliness can be improved. Smells from the kitchen shouldn't always reach the dining area, especially if they're of raw onions & cabbages. Having said that the place is airy and cool even in hot summer days. Verdict: a room (1BHK rather) for improvement exists.
Food: I called this place my second kitchen and here's why - fresh ingredients, simple tastes, generous portions and well spread menu - all the things you want from any kitchen. A few things to try: Paneer-Mushroom Fry, Veg. Hyderabadi, Pav Bhaji, Veg. Manchurian, Veg. Pulav, Stuffed Paratha, Mysore Dosa, Idli-Sambhar, Special Chai and Sweet Lassi - all simple dishes well done. The Rotis and Naans are also good. For a budget meal, the Punjabi Thali is a great option. Flipsides: All generic veggie dishes taste similar, so go with peculiar choices. Sometimes cooks like to use oil freely. On the whole: a very acceptable performance by the Prasanna kitchen.
Service: You can expect service to be like any other Udupi restaurant. Waiters are good at heart and help you in all ways possible but as expected, may sometimes lack in serving proficiency. The managers are extremely active from behind the counter and the constant bell-rings to address the staff, will intrigue you many a times. Special mention: your take away orders will be ready in a flash.
Cost: This is a budget restaurant in all aspects, more so evident in the bills that you will pay here. Almost all dishes are VFM because of generous servings. The Punjabi Thali is probably the best bet for a complete meal. This affordability is the main reason why the restaurant hosts many repeat & regular customers like me.
Overall: A good place in the spreading outskirts of Pashan-Sus area. It has done enough to become my second kitchen and I don't find a reason for that changing any time soon. A 3.5 is a just rating according to me.

Best and budget friendly Hotel one can get in pashan area. Its near by to niv pune campus i have been visiting this place for the past one month . Nice south indian recipes and waiters are so courteous nd polite. Everything is good here except thali and khichdi.
Great place for a nice, clean budget breakfast or lunch. The South Indian here is really good, we loved the sambar! We had Wada, and a few dosas, which were all great!
I leave just by the Prasanna hotel and I am regular to this from past couple of years. They always provide nice service and food quality is good. They also make changes to dishes according to your taste and if you go for dine in then the sitting arrangement is better than the local competitors. They also provide home delivery which is fast like 25 min on an average to my place.
Few things I always hate though is that the noise workers make. Not only in hotel but as neighbors. They only accept cash which is a big problem. But still it is one of the best in this local area.
Good place for regular visit.
I have been here many times and the food never dissapoints. Paneer Adraki and Kolhapuri are a bit spicy, but the taste is really good.
It would just cost you around Rs 100 for a meal here. The service is fast and other items such as dosa, pav bhaji and noodles are also well prepared :)
Nice street outlet with delicious food at cheap price, I'd recommend this for anyone, anyday if you're looking for budget food at not so high price. The north indian thali is a delicacy in itself.

This hotel is situated at Sus Road and believe me you call them at 8am or 11pm, they deliver food happily. Best South Indian food and their Cutney (White - Coconut) is a showstopper. Veggies (Main Course) are bit spicy (so rating 4.5) so do tell them about your liking and they make accordingly. My would recommend to go for Steam Idli .... soft, fresh and bit warm with Chutney.

Considering the location, I wouldn't have thought of this place and that too with so less expensive rather I would say pocket-friendly restaurant.
In this vicinity, its been there since long, at least I'm having food since last five years at this place at least once a month. Initially, when I used to be a student and was living in Kothrud, I used to drop in this location of Pashan-Sus road just to enjoy the cool weather and open air. Post few visits, I saw "Prasanna Pure Veg" and bumped into it one fine evening. And since then its a history!
No month has passed away without me not visiting this place at least for once. I love their Veg adrakhi And Also Veg Lajawab. Although I'm a fan of meat and loved to try different non-veg places but since sometime I may get off hook and definitely those some day end up being coming here.
The servers, Managers, all the staffs are great and quite helpful here. They never let eu down for any substantial order or for any particular choice. Quick in response and very cordial.

This restaurant is good. I always like being here and eating any damn thing without thinking twice.
But since last some days we have been ordering frequently from Prasanna, i guess they have lost interest in delivering us! :( we experienced some of the main course dishes not up to the mark. We even found some stones in their chutney. Which was very depressing.
Please Prasanna, don't do this, we just love your famous coconut chutney!!
Everyone knows this place in pashan, pune.
It got almost the same tag as good luck deccan. "Prasanna pashan" is a hard to miss restaurant.
With decent price tag and enough quantity they try to lure outsiders. Try bhindi masala, panner dishes which i find really good over veg Kolhapuri. You can check the live dosa counter.

We were crossing Pashan and it started raining. Happened to stop near this restaurant. Since it was afternoon and didn't had lunch we decided to try this place. The place is pure veg and serve all kind of dishes. We asked for pav bhajji for which they said that it is served only in the evening. We then ordered dosa. The service was quick. The taste was decent enough. There were lot of others who were trying various indian dishes.

The service was good even when the rush was heavy on a Sunday. I have tried main course, pav bhaji, chole bhature, parathe over here. Except for the bhature being very oily, I am pretty convinced with the taste of other items. A good budget restaurant.

This is the only restaurant in the Pashan area which serves you with all vegetarian food with quality, quantity and taste. You will always find it crowded and you may have to wait a little to get a table; However, the little wait is totally worth it. I went there 4-5 times till now and they always manage to amuse me with their food. You may try their Tawa Mushroom. It is too delicious.
