Great samosas and nice dhoklas.
This sweet shop is one of everyone's favorite. You get alot of variety of sweet along with savory snacks. I really enjoy their banana chips and white peda.
The food served here is of of great quality.
The samosas are spicy and flavoursome.
The Desi ghee jalebi is the main reason to visit this place as the jalebis are amazing and full of the Kesar flavour.
I love bundi k laddoo from here. They server pretty good sweets. I came in d afternoon as I knew chitale n other famous shops are generally closed. But since then have been here quite a lot. Recommended.
The place serves pretty good sweet stuff. Many options to choose from. The samosas and ghevar served is one of my favourites. For full review plzz follow me on instagram at veggie Pune
GHEVAR
This traditional Rajasthani sweet is one thing i always relish and plead my marwadi friends to get for me .This is basically a all flour sugary cake topped generously with, almonds ,pistachios ,saffron, green cardamon and rose petals.I had fallen in love with this sweet on my first visit to Jaipur where the head Chef of a heritage hotel had specially made a malai GHEVAR for me.
IN Pune ,did try at mithas and dadus but purohit was the closet I had..Not overtly sweet ,always fresh with lovely spongy and lacy texture
I am a regular customer at Purohit Sweets. They have excellent variety in sweets and namkeens. Sometimes I feel as if the products are overpriced, but, that is what you have to pay if you are looking for good quality sweets and that too without any adulteration.
They are strategically located in Mukundnagar, a neighbourhood populated by Marwaris and Gujarathis. And you would hardly find any Marwari/Gujarathi home without sweets.
They have maintained a clean and hygienic place with seasonal and festival specific offerings.
Don't ask for discounts, you might not get it even if u are a loyal customer.
An excellent shop with mouthwatering , scrumptious and an extravaganza of sweets! They have delicious rasgullas, rasmalai, pedhas, variety of barfis you name it and they have them.. I am a fan of their malai pedhas and sutarfeni 😍
They not only master in the art of deserts but their savoury dishes are irresistible 😚.. just like tapas people typically have their matar samosas, kachoris ij succession 😄
It's one of the best sweet mart in Pune and expect it to be crowded any day day of the year.. they do have a branch in ravivar peth too..
P.s while buying rasgullas or any chena based sweet they do instruct each and every customer to consume them as early as possible which is definitely a rare thing nowadays 😁
Purohit sweets
I got khaman dhokla, aloo wada, and alu chi wadi along with a bengali mithai.
All were good.
Its good to see that they have a branch in mukund nagar.
The raviwar peth branch is in a crowded area where parking is impossible.
My friend who stays near this sweet Mart introduced me to this place.
It's located at Mukund nagar near swargate.
This is one of the best sweet shops is this locality for sure.
They serve a whole lot of sweets and namkeen dishes.
The place is very neat and clean and the dishes taste real fresh.
My favourite has always been the Gulab jamun. It's big in size and surely carters to the sweet tooth.
The sev and farsan is also good to taste.
The prices might seem a little on the higher side however for the taste and quality it's definitely worth.
This is a must try specially if one has a sweet tooth.
Parking is a challenge on a busy day and you can find a little space to squeeze your 4 wheeler into, in one of the by-lanes.
The spread of sweetmeats on offer is substantially large and attractive; however the prices can act quite a deterrent. So unless you are relatively well-to-do and have good reasons to buy their mostly Kaju-based products, you may involuntarily let off a small sigh of resentment and tend to settle for the regular pedhas or barfis.
During this period of demonetization, paying for your purchases can be a challenging and arduous task because you will first have to stock your wallet/purse with legal paper money to pay for your purchases and be prepared to get back into any of the million serpentine queue outside the Ayega Tab Milega aka ATM kiosks.
Purohit's do NOT accept plastic money!
Customer service is nothing commendable, as swift non-smiling counter boys assist you. The owner/manager manning the cash counter is just as placid and expressionless-faced.
You need not go out of the way to this sweet store if you have a Puneri Sweets outlet or a Chitale Bandhu along the way.
I would recommend one to visit for the most amazing Moong Dal Halwa in Pune. I love it so much that I don't mind travelling out of the way for it. Have also seen queues for their jalebis.
There are two outlets of Purohit Sweets in Poona.. This one and another at Raviwar Peth (opp. Ramsukh Market).. On Snacks and Sweets frontier, after Chitale Bandhu, I'm diehard fan of this 'Purohit' brand.. In respect of Food, Jain Kachori, Dhokala, Agra Petha etc are just awesome.. These are their traditional items.. Apart from this, some new entries are - 1) Soan Cake (like Soan Papadi only, but have Rose essence, and absolutely delicious).. 2) Bombay Halwa (people must hv tried this from other various shops, and personally I USED to hate it, but what Purohit is offering is just different and yummy).. 3) Kaju Kalingad and Kaju Anaras (superb in taste and good option to serve guests during festivals or occasions) - - - Rest Snacks and Sweets are OK and can be tried from any other Shop, but above items are worth.
Purohit Sweet and Namkeen is a beloved place for my family, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an assortment of sweets and namkeen. They serves variety of edible varieties from Indian sweets ,farsan, gathiya ,banana chips to kachori, samosa, dhokla and much more.

Great place for quick bites like Samosa, kachori, dhokla, bakarwadi, etc.
Plenty of sweets to choose from.. taste and quality is great.. all the kaju items like kaju katli, kaju rolls etc. are yumm.. Angoor malai is perfectly sweet (I don’t generally prefer too sweet).. rates are okay..
the staff is excellent..
highly recommend this place to everyone..
Best sweets in town. Quality & taste is beyond any comparison. Highly recommended.
Good Authentic taste of unique sweets, special sweets like rose ball. They displayed the shelf life of each sweet, so you can choose which sweet to buy if required for long-term duration
I have been visiting the place for more than a decade, almost from its start, seems like they are into offering new flavours, but somehow loosing on the older wellknown ones..
Please do not lose the traditional flavours in the quest to offer new ones..
They serves variety of edible varieties from Indian sweets, farsan, banana chips, kachori, samosa, dhokla and much more. Good service
