Went here for the first time..sitting was just 3 tables..ordered khamang bhajani thalipith with loni..loni was not avaialble so settled for dahi..it came in 5 mins..crispy yummy thalipith with mirchi pickle and dahi..too good..then orderes sabudana khichdi which was again so yummy just the way i like..then ordered tea which was ok types..i avoided looking at kitchen thoroughly as it was not looking very clean..but taste is too good..will definitely visit again

In search of a good place for breakfast we stopped at this place which is opposite to famous Bharat Natya mandir. We ordered Cheese Bread Masala which is too good. Also we ordered thalipeeth and Dhapada which are famous maharashtrian food and they were very tasty. Cutting chai was also good. Overall decent place. food quality is good but need to improve upon the cleanliness.

Amazing food they serve .. the kothimbir wadi i ordered was so soft and tasty that i melted as soon as i ate it . And the cheese masala bread is another dish which i just loved ... Was craving for a good tasty misal today evening... so ordered it from this place thru swiggy... it was delivered hot within 30 mins.. the taste was excellent... the spice levels were just right... it was not too oily and had a homemade touch to it... the quantity seemed a bit lesser...
Also ordered a piyush from there... it was excellent.. but again quantity was too less... overall a great experience... was able to satisfy my craving of having a good misal...

This restaurant is for the authentic Marathi food lovers. You can discover the amazing taste for each item while spending quite less money. I have been here 4 to 5 times. But I have never been dissatisfied with this restaurant food or service. -0.5 for space and ventilation issue. But I am sure foodies won't bother about that.

This is a very small eatery serving typical and authentic Maharashtrian dishes.
I am one of their regular visitors and have tried almost half of the menu on their menu card.
First thing first - choose any,any random dish from a menu and order..I assure you it will not disappoint your taste buds!!!
To start with I like Khadadi's
1.tea-just perfect.
2.Khichdi-the best sabudana khichdi I had till date in any hotel.(less quantity though)
3.poha-is ok ok and quantity is a bit less
4.Palak bhaji-perfectly fried,less oily and tastes heaven.(quantity sufficient)
5.solkadi-give a try.Tasty!!
6.coffee-not that great.
7.palak Puri served with curd and chilly pickle-this one is the best,quality and quantity wise.
8.papad Bhaji-crispy papad served with mashed potatoes topped with tamarind chutney and light masala. Tastes good!!
9.Bread cheese-bread pieces served with cheese and masala . Not very delicious.
10.WADA PAV-Something I shouldn't forget to mention about.
I would recommend everyone to try their wada pav...it's the best..!!
11.Tawa pulav- less oily and as usual tasty tasty😋

A very nice joint opposite Bharat natya Mandir. All the food items are freshly prepared. Vadapaw and misal paw was very good. The innovative item , bread cheese masala was also good.
Good authentic maharashtrian food joint. Tried bhajaniche vade and kat vada. Both were delicious, the curd served alongside bhajaniche vade tested just like homemade, will definitely visit again to try other authentic items like dahi dhapate etc

The 1st Upaas Day of this new year. Ganesh Chaturthi.
To cook khichdi correct is a real task.. Soaking time.. The amount of oil.. The sprinkling of water.. The peanut crush quantity.... Tuup... To get that perfect dish.
This is One of the few places which gets the circle completely correct. I did go out of my way and suggested the owner to add peanut crush and mirchi to the dahi than serving it plain. (उगाच शहाणपणा)
One of my favourite joints for this dish.. Do visit guys.

Such a amazing place to have Maharashtrian food..small food joint but serving quality food with homely taste..katvada and bhajaneche Wade are awesome..I tried one new item here called as papad bhaji.it is basically fried Puri with batata bhaji and sweet and spicy chutuny with shev..must try it..it was yummy..
Outstanding place for authentic maharashtrian snacks. Love the preparation, the flavors, and just the homely feel of the dishes. Excellent alu wadi, dhapata, thalipeet, bhajni che puri and many more classics you don't find in mainstream restaurants like wadeshwar.
Usually we get freshly churned buttermilk too to wash down the delicacies!

Probably the best Missal Pav I have had. It's a must visit if you're close by. Have Missal Pav, Thalipith and Kat vada. Piyush was average. And don't forget to have Kharvas

Excellent place for Maharashtrian food. The sabudana khichadi and kotambir wadi deserve a special mention and are recommended. The misal and thalipeeth are nice. The shira isn't over sweet. The piyush was ok(I've had better).

Nice small place for Maharashtrian food. Food is well cooked and tasty also. There are plenty of options for bhajjy and thalipith, shabudana khichadi is also good. Bhopalyache gharge, dhapate and misal are also very tasty. Shahi Piyush is superb.
If u r in Sadashiv peth and want to eat something really tasty then you should definitely try this place. Place is little bit cosy but food is awesome, worth for Money....

This place sits in the heartland of Pune city and offers a true taste of authentic Maharshtrian food of Pune style. The best thing is everything is made fresh and only after the order is placed. So there is not a single chance of getting stored and pre-prepared food heated up in a lousy microwave.
This place offers Thalipeeth (a spicy Indian version of pancake, a little harder than its American cousin), Bhaji of several types and many more. A unique thing I found here is the "Bhaji Platter", which contains some 10 varieties of Bhaji in a single plate with their uniquely flavoured "chutney". They serve thalipeeth with authentic homemade butter. Their "Misal" has a unique taste as well. Pune is home of many legendary misal houses but this place distinguishes itself with its taste.
The owner of this place is always there to help you select some tasty delicasies and explain what goes in it. If you want to taste true flavour of home made Maharashtrian food a visit to this place is must.

Medium sized piece but have a great testy food... Typical and authentic marathi snacks items... Menu is accurate.. They prepare each things after your order so bare them for 10 min but I must say that 10 min will refund you with grate test.... Very nice staff. Service is quick and they accept payment from various methods... Must try.

Damn good sabudana khichadi. Used to like Appa's khi-ka for as long as I remember. Happened to drop in at this place by chance. Out of sheer curiosity ordered khichadi & kela bhaji and it was bang on. Wanted to taste the other upvas items offerings. But they weren't available. Maybe would have to drop in on a sankasti or ekadashi day.
Menu is here huge and options are ample, from pakodas to thalipeeth, from puri bhaji to fasting goodies every thing is in place. And of course you cannot have everything. So something that cannot be missed is sanjha a cousin of upma with curd or buttemilk added in between. It is delicately soft and seamlessly rolls down the mouth. A mild flavour of curd gives it different touch.

To sum it up in the words of the owner himself "it is like an open samosa" and man it tastes awesome!❤️ the papad was made of maida and had samosa bhaji with tamarind chutney, served with spicy green chutney for those who want to make it hot!
Sanjha:
One of the most famous breakfast of Maharashtrians. Sanjha is what upma is for people in the South. Very fluffy and has a smooth texture. Love the taste but if you don't like spicy food then make sure to remove the chillis.

This is a small outlet famous for Maharashtrian food and more importantly Jain food ( without onion and garlic). We had thalipeeth and tawa pulao and both preparations were awesome and very tasty.
First place where you can really get Authentic Maharashtra's food. The whole staff is extremely polite and the cooks are very clean and hygienic. You can get some awsome items like Thalapith, Bhoplyache Gharge, Piyush Bhajani che Wade, Chatpati papad bhagi etc

Nice joint offering Maharashtrain Menu. Tried Vada Pav, Thalipeeth & Misal Pav. The taste was authentic & pure Puneri. This joint is quite small with 4 to 5 tables. But the food quality & taste is amazing. They follow a good hygiene. I saw chefs were wearing plastic gloves while serving & preparing food. Staff was nice & not like other arrogant Puneris.
Khadadi (खादाडी) - You will find this place bang opposite Bharat Natya Mandir ,Sadashiv Peth. This place serves lot of traditional Maharashtrian delicacies which are rare these days. Bhajani wade , Saanja etc to name few of them. I had awesome Saanja today. Saanja we can say is a Maharashtrian cousin of Upma :). This Sanja was served hot, smooth and was not soggy at all. It had slight taste of curd which was tasting good. Service was fast in spite of lot fo crowd. I could see Sabudana wada , Vada pavs were also served to other tables fresh and in lighting speed. Good start with Saanja still lot of other options to try which will do very soon
तिखट मिठाचा सांजा भारी होता. मिसळ सुद्धा मस्त असते इकडची. एकूण अगदी उत्तम !! एकदा तरी इथे जावं आणि इथलं थालीपीठ, सांजा, मिसळपाव टेस्ट करावी .
Want a pure sadashivpethi treat? Khadadi is your place to be. With kanda bhaji kothimbir wadi, wadapav etc, it serves your evening snack time very well, the taste is too good and their kitchen is super clean, not a very good seating here,go for take aways. The price is a bit on the higher side, but worth a try.

Typical Sadashiv pethi food joint. Finding place to seat is gamble as only 3 tables available and no place to stand and eat. Food is served hot and fresh, it's mild in taste. More like home made food rather than restaurant style. I had dahi-dhapate, misal pav which was good. Bhajiya was okay. Sol-kadhi was awesome.
Didn't eat much at this place but my first impression is not so good. I ordered thalipeeth , which took 15 mins and the thalipeeth which I got was without even a single grain of salt. But would like to try more.

We just had piyush here. Piyush is mixture of Shrikhand and milk. Like lassi its thick but sweeter than lassi.
Although Piyush at Khadadi was not thick, it was perfectly sweetened with a hint of nutmeg. Also the quantity of drink was little annoying.
I took a gander at the menu card and i found few different items - Thalipeeth, different types of bhaji.
There is no ambiance to this place. Hardly 3-4 tables to sit.

where should i start?theres so much to talk about their food?if u looking for something new and authentic when it comes to maharashtrian snacks,then this is the place to go..when u say maharashtrian snacks,people generally think of pohe,wada pav,misal...but evr heard of kelyachi bhaji,sanja,upvasacha ragada patties,jayfal coffee....for all the non maharashtrians, if u really want to explore mouth waterung and authentic maharashtrian snacks,do visit this place....the sesating is a little bit congested but their excelllent food covers up these small drawbacks...if they could improve on the misal,then this place will become my number 1 spot for maharashtrian snacks

It's as authentic as it gets!
There's always some food-stuff you only get at home. Its what makes the home food be home food. You remember of such food when you hear someone talking about it or see it in someones tiffin. Makes you remember your grandmother and her special dishes. Well, the objective of going to Khadadi is reminisce over such food and more importantly the memories.
Khadadi is a vernacular slang meaning 'to have a snack'. Its a small place right across Bharat Natya Mandir auditorium in Sadashiv Peth. They have nice sign board which makes the place difficult to miss. The location of the hotel is spot on. Its a very old part of Pune with very Puneri air and hotel is as Marathi as possible. The menu as said earlier is very catchy. They have different types of bhajis, missal, wadas, upwas (fast) items and a variety of drinks like Piyush (curd based drink that tastes like shrikhand), Kokam and lemon sharbat, Panha (raw mango based drink) etc. That's not all! They have variety of thalipeths n dhapate (spiced pancake made from special dough), ghare (pumpkin based wadas), kothimbir (coriander) wadi and even bread slices with home made butter and sugar. That's heck of a menu. Heart felt compliments for it!
I tried a couple types of bhajis (onion and moong) and dhapate. The bhaji was fabulous. Served steaming hot with lip smacking coriander chutney. Dhapate are form of parathas made of combination dough served with curd and red chilly chutney. It was good. A bit to dry though. Panha was excellent. Though I would have enjoyed it more if it were chilled.. Piyush is something you don't get everywhere. Khadadi got this rare drink perfect. Kudos for that!
The service is alright. Its a place which operates on self service basis when the waiter is not available. That's okay because its just three tables and they don't have much space. But the place is nicely decorated and they have made the most of what they have. Compliments for the photo display.
It you are from a Marathi family, you are bound to feel intrigued here and if you have a Marathi friend take him here to be intrigued with him.

A parking facility is not available. Being in the heart of the city it is advisable not to bring your vehicle here.

Bharat Natya Mandir is a125 years old theatre , is a witness to the rich cultural heritage of Indian Theatre. It has definitely passed a taste of time, which presents atleast 10 different traditional & new marathi musical dramas. The famous competation which is Purshottam Krandak is heald in this Bharat Natya Mnadir . The auditorium has a seating capacity of 850 seats which include 525 bottom or stall seats and 325 balcony seats
