Good place for seafood lovers, you can find many varieties of seafood from Fishes to Prawns and many more. There are variations you can get from thali, fried to fish and prawn Biryani.
It is a must try restaurant. Their service is good and ambience also.
They have enough parking space.

This place serves absolutely mouthwatering food. Right stop to end seafood cravings. Must try Paneer Kurkure , simply the best in town. This place is a must visit for all the sea food lovers. Do try Surmai Tawa fry and Bombil Kurkure. The staff is also polite and very helpful. Highly recommended place.

Must say it has definitely earned brownie points for:
(a) The place is open all day.

My native is Alibag and I have grown up in a Malvani family, so I don't easily like the so called authentic costal food served even in the best rated restaurants. So haven't given any rating or review about any hotel before. However...
Costal Blue at Baner has made me give this place a 5star rating and a positive review about it's simple home like tasting fresh costal cuisine and service with warmth and promptness.
Kudos!!! Team Costal Blue... Continue to serve always the best costal food...

This restaurant is simply the best for seafood. One of the best seafoods I have had. The place is small but one would surely love the food here. They have a beautiful marine life painting on one of the walls.

Crab soup is amazing. All the kurkure item like bombil kurkure, prawns kurkure, chicken kurkure are awesome. We repeated these dishes. For the main course, we had ordered different fish thalis like pomfret thali, surmai thali, rawas thali, prawns thali and chicken thali. All of these thalis were very good. Chicken gravy from the chicken thali was too good. I would definitely recommend this place for seafood lovers.

So here i am sharing my first experience of eating FISH!!!
Mostly my friends dont prefer fish because of the smell or the bones of the fish that pricks them while eating and also their first experience of eating fish made them nausetic because of the smell.
I was invited for the bloggers table at Coastal Blue and decided to try fish for the first time. I went there and as they started serving the appetizers i hesitated and requested the owner if they would serve me something veg to eat coz physiologically i wasn't ready to have the fish. He happily ordered a paneer starter for me and asked me about my problem of eating fish. So he explained me the basic fact of why people dont prefer fish. The he convinced me that if i am comfortable with chicken then definitely i should try eating prawns, Golden fried Prawns. So i did take a bite of it like actually just a tiny bite and somewhat i thought i should go ahead and eat more of it. I did n trust me i ate almost half a plate of the prawns.
The owner has designed all the food items by himself and every food recipe has an interesting story behind it which he tells happily as he has actually invented some of the food items under different circumstances.
So gradually i tasted almost everything the bangda, bombil, pomfret,crab soup and not just saying for the sake of saying but i actually had a very good first time experience eating a FISH.
So i wont be able to describe each food item in detail as i do about my other reviews coz i actully dont have enough knowledge of cooking a fish and experience of eating it too.But just sharing my experience of it.
So if you are a fish lover you should definitely go to this place where u are given a very warm homelike treatment and also u might like all the products over there.

I visited Coastal Blue with few friends for lunch. They serve the most authentic finger licking delicious sea food. I ordered
1. Crab soup : not too spicy and had enough amount of soft crab meat.
2. Golden fried prawns: this one is my most favourite dish at Coastal Blue. You'll not get this yummy crispy dish anywhere else in Pune. It's a must try .
3. Kurkurit Bombil : bombil were fried and it was too delicious and crispy.
4. Surmai fry : very fresh and delicious cooked with perfect balance of spices and other ingredients.
5. Pomfret thali : this thali had full pomfret fry, pomfret curry , fried dry fish , salted prawns, coconut barfi, chapati and steam rice and sol kadhi.
• Ambiance is good and staff is polite and helpful.
•They have one more speciality and it's Mahasagar Thali . If you are visiting this place with a group of friends or family then you should definitely order this huge thali . It has 6-7 different type of fishes which is a yummy feast.
• all the sea food is fresh so it doesn't smell at all. Firstly I was hesitant to surmai fry because I usually don't remove the bones out of fish myself so the chef and the owner Mr. Kolhe taught me how to eat any fish also truth and myths related to eating a fish.

Fish? 🧐 Umm fish 😍 Yeah! That's my reaction for fish when I hear about this place. This place is amazing for seafood. 💯 What we had was

1. Crab Soup : A little salty but the crab was very fresh and delicate. 😋

2. Surmai Fry : This was fried with their own masala which was very tasty and the fish was perfectly cooked. 🥰

3. Golden Fried Prawns : So this was our personal favourite as it was very yummy. And the batter also was very different and had it's own aroma. A must try 😍😍

4. Kurkure Bombil : The famous bombay duck given to you like crispy strips from the outside and soft fish from the inside. 😻

5. Fish Thali : This had the entire fish cooked in masala with it's curry given separately and only the head of the fish in it. 🐠 There was a bowl of salted prawns, fish namkeen, sol kadhi, 2 chapatis, onion lemon salad and a piece of coconut barfi. Very filling and delicious. 👅

6. Coconut Barfi : This was their in the thali but we would like to also mention it separately as this was amazing and it is not like your regular barfi. Recommended 💕

You can taste and feel the freshness of each and every seafood item be it any form of dish. It also has a very beautiful and unique ambiance. ☺️ And instead of having junk food, you guys should try the food from here. Also, don't forget to have their thali challenge which is of Rs 2400. 😌 Overall the food was very delicious. ❤️

चिकन आणि मटण कुणी खायला शिकवायला लागत नाही. ते खायला माझा मीच शिकलो मुळातच घरात नॉन-व्हेज आजीबात चालत नाही म्हणून मी बाहेर जाऊन मित्रां बरोबर नॉनव्हेज खायला सुरवात केली.
आज नॉनव्हेज मधला सीफुड चा आस्वाद घ्यायचा एक सुवर्ण मौका मिळाला. मुळातच मी मासे कधी जास्त खाल्लेले नाहीत म्हणून आजचा मौका मला सोडायचा न्हवता. सुरमई तावा फ्राय, कुरकुरीत बोंबील, पापलेट थाळी आणि कोळंबी वर कोस्टल ब्लू या सीफुड स्पेशल हॉटेल मध्ये एकदम जम के ताव मारला. इकडच्या गोल्डन प्रॉन्स च कौतुक करेल तितकं कमी. मासे अगदी फ्रेश असल्या मुळे किंचितही वास नाही. फ्रेश मासा ओळखायचा कसा आणि मासे खायचे कसे याचा क्रॅश कोर्से हॉटेल चे मालक श्री.कोल्हे यांनी करून दिला.
या आधी काही दिवस मी माझ्या मित्राच्या आईच्या हातचे मासे खाल्ले होते. अगदी तशीच घरगुती टेस्ट आणि तोच फ्रेशनेस या हि सगळ्या डिशेस ना होता.
जर तुम्ही अट्टल मासे खाणारे असाल तर मित्रांनो खरंच एकदा या ठिकाणी भेट द्या आणि मास्यांचा आनंद लूटा आणि जर तुम्हाला मासे खायला सुरवात कराची आहे तर मित्रांनो याच ठिकाणा पासून सुरवात करा, कारण अगदी सरळ आहे: फ्रेश, चविष्ट आणि रुचकर मासे कोकाण सोडलं तर कोस्टल ब्लू याच ठिकाणी मिळणार असा माझा मत आहे.

I rarely give 5* but this restaurant serves it. Good food. They take upto 20 mints time to prepare food, as they make fresh food.

Tried there Bangda, Thatli and it was simply awesome. 1 thali was sufficient for two of us. 1 fried fish, 1 grevy fish, sukkat chutney (dry prawn chutney), Prawns, 2 bhakri, Rice, Coconut barfi and soLKadhi.

Food was really great. They have not focused on ambiance, but on the food, even though sitting arrangements are quite comfortable.

I would recommend there Fish thaali.

They serve Complimentary Paapad, :D

Staffs are courteous.

Highly recommended. It's on Baner road, next VIP showroom and before Bata Showroom.

I met with the owner, Lady was very humble and soft spoken. We met her just to tell them that the food was great.

Couple of things:

If you, can grind Dry Prawns with all the spices you use with a little oil might make this Sukkatta Chutney more delicious. You can try and then introduce.

Menu cover looks like a business profile. You might consider to redesign it.

Do not change the quality you are serving here.

My Wife went to my inlaw's place and i had to dine out. I wanted to try something in Seafood in Baner. in Baner, we have few options like Fish Curry Rice, I am Lion, 7 Seas etc but somehow i decided to go to Coastal Blue.
I went around 8ish on weekday and the place was empty.
Decor is minimalist but clean nonetheless.
I Ordered Surmai Thali. It had Fried Surmai (1 pc), Surmai Curry ( 1 Pc), Boiled & salted Prawn, Sukkat Chutney ( Dried Shrimp), Solkadhi Vati ( bowl) and Coconut Burfi , 2 Rice Bhakri and Bowl of Rice

Pros:
1) Amazing fish curry. This was really fresh, tangy, spicy and really awesome
2) Rice Bhakri- this was a really thing of beauty as far as bhakri goes :)
3) Solkadhi- The solkadhi was peppy, It had right amount sour and tanginess balance nicely by Coconut flavour

Things which can be improved:
1) The quantity of Surmayi fish slice was slightly on smaller side
2) Pickled Prawns need burst of flavours. try adding some zest to it. They were fresh but can be improved further
3) Coconut Burfi- bit on sweeter side and little firm. ( i prefer less sugar in my sweets)

Nisarg, Masemari - I think you will have some competition if Coastal Blue can match depth of your offerings.

If you are looking between Fish Curry Rice and Coastal Blue, i think i had better thali at Coastal Blue and less expensive.

Bnaer has become the food hub in the city . It has almost all types cuisines and well known restaurants.

Its good to see some seafood restaurants coming in this part of city.

Coastal Blue as name indicates iis seafood special restaurant opened on Main Baner road few months back

The place is located on Main baner road and has nice , simple and specious interiors .

It can house some 20-25 people . The place is absolutely clean without any fishy smell despite seafood special restaurant

The menu is short and mainly focuses on Seafood Thalis and and seafood dishes along with few chicken and mutton preparations

I tried Surmai Thali here in my last visit

The Thali contains :- Surmai fish Fry , Spicy Surmai Curry , Sukkat Chutney , Salted prawns , Solkadi , one bowl rice , Coconut Barfi , 3 chapati's or 2 rice Bakri 's .

The thali is quite fulfilling.

Star of the thali was Surmai Fry. It was tawa fry and not rawa fry which you normally get in Thali. There were 3 medium surmai pieces.

Fish was absolutely fresh and fried to perfection with thin coated layer of hoemade masala.

Its definitely one of the best fish fry after long time for me.

The Big bowl of spicy surmai curry goes great with the rice Bakri and rice 😋. again here good surmai fillet was used not like some other places where you hardly get any fish piece in fish curry

So full marks to restaurant for using quality fish in the Thali.

The thali comes with 2-3 salted prawns which tastes good but they can definitely increase quantity here

The sukKat was crisp and without smell . The solkadi was definetly better than other places.

Coconut Barfi is nice addition to Thali to end your meal on sweet note

The hotel claims all the dishes are prepared with the homemade masala and spices. The seafood was really fresh and good quality .

Worth trying this place in Baner .

Also I saw one interesting thing on their menu. They serve huge "Mahasagar Thali" which can be shared by 6-7 people which has 9 varities of fresh Fish in one thali.

This type of huge seafood thali I saw first time in Pune . Check picture for reference.

Value for Money :- 4/5 (500 for surmai thali but they offer really good discounts on Eatigo and Nearbuy which makes this absolutely VFM)

Coastal Blue Newly opened place on main Baner Road. The name itself gives an idea about is mainly based for its seafood. We visited this place last night for dinner . We made a booking from eatigo app and got 50% off on the entire menu . The interiors of the place are simple and sweet . The menu is also short and simple but worth trying there all seafood dishes . We ordered

1) Fish Clear Soup:-
As we got our soup on the table , first we taught it looks so simple . But when we tasted it ,it was really good in taste . Small Small chunks of fish in it and the somewhat spicy fishy tasty . The start to the dinner night with these soup was really good .

2) Prawns Chilli :-
The Prawns were deep fried and were made in Chinese style sauce and vegetables in it. The dish was looking tempting and it was red n green colour . The plate was garnished with Coriander on it . The taste of prawns was little bit spicy and tangy .

3)Pomfret Thali :-
They serve Authentic Seafood Thali.
The Thali contains :- Pomfret fish Fry , Spicy Surmai Curry , Sukkat Chutney , Salted prawns , Solkadi , one plate rice , Coconut Barfi , 3 chapati's or 2 rice Bakri 's .
The thali is best option for your seafood cravings and to make your stomach full 😉. The freshly Pomfret is perfectly fried with spicy homemade masala and the spicy surmai curry goes great with the rice Bakri and rice 😋. Overall the thali is amazing in taste and worth trying it.

Specially the hotel prepares all the dishes with the homemade masala and spices and the dishes are purely cooked on the chulha. They serve fresh seafood . Worth trying this place in Baner .

This is a nice place to have Konkan special Fish thali. Quantity and taste is really good and wheat chapati are prepared as per requirement and they are served hot. Wheat chapatis are good, similar to home made chapatis. Solkadi and rice was nice.

Solkadi consistency can be improved and in Surmai thali the fish fry could have been more crispy, so gave 4 rating.

Coastal Blue is a wonderful restaurant serving sea food. We have been here quite a few times and also ordered for home delivery as well.

We have tried most items and all of them were awesomely delicious. The preparations have a good balance of flavours and spice which is excellent.

Pomfret fry, pomfret green masala fry, bangdya fry, prawns biryani, prawns kurkure , surmai fry, pomfret curry or surmai curry.... You name a dish on the menu and everything is as yummy as the other.

We will keep visiting and ordering again and again.

We had ordered Surmai Tawa Fry, Prawns Kurkure, Fish Curry Rawas, Rice Bhakri, Plain Rice
The spices and taste of every dish is awesome. Specially Prawns Kurkure were delicious. Very limited options in his menu but taste was classy. The service was good. They used homemade masala. Came here with Kunal and Prajot. It was a wonderful experience to dine in with coastal blue. I will definitely recommend this place if you looking for a delicious seafood food.

Amazing food and service. Fast delivery and service. The pomfret fry with green masala and fry prawns were delicious and juicy. The spices and taste of every dish is authentic homemade and cooked on Chulha.

It was better than many other restaurants serving fish in Pune. If it is fish, it needs to be Costal Blue.
