This place is serving good quality food since many years, and the taste and quality never deteriorates.
Pavbhaji is delicious.
Hakka noodles are also very good.
But the best dish here is their PANEER CHILLI. If you don’t try this dish then you must. I just go back to this restaurants to eat this particular item. Please try it, and you wont regret it.
Summer specials dahi wada.. and the new concept dahi batata wada- loved it!! Can replace a meal..

Good food.. !! Successful in maintaining the taste and management even after major period of renewations. South Indian is a speciality here.. Spring Dosa and Punjabi Thali are a must try..!!
A setting similar to your next door udupi cafe, which also has options in Punjabi cuisine and thali. One of those restos where you go to fill your tummy more than your eyes. Veg restaurant which has something for everyone. Affordable prices make it even better. Outdoor and Indoor seating both are available.
Positives: Pocket friendly, Tasty food, Moderately comfortable indoor seating and Enormous options in food.
Must haves:
Pav bhaji: Comes in three different spice levels to suit your palate and also in good quantity.
Veg crispy, paneer crispy, kofta curry, veg manchurian, paneer butter masala, dal fry are the things tried and tasted.
Have been visiting this place regularly for quick lunch / dinner or food parcels sometimes. The quality and taste of food has been amazing and just the same throughout. Yesterday went for dinner. We had msala dosa and filter coffee. Dosa was crisp till we finished it n tasted perfect. Coffee was nice. Their rates are reasonable and service is really good.
It's a nice restaurant in kothrud. We friends usually visit this place on weekends to have breakfast in the morning. We mostly order, CHOLE BHATURA, CHEESE MAYSORE DOSA, MASALA DOSA, UDID WADA SAMBAR, UTAPPA. All of the food dishes are tasty but among those the cheese maysore dosa is the best.
Very economical and Tasty. Keep it up Samarth. Compared to other near by hotels, it is best. Please visit with family. Others are expensive. compared to this.
I have been here so many times and even had takeaways from here.
Ambience is okay. They have inside and outside arrangement.
In last week I bought parcel from here paneer tikka priced for Rs.150 ,roti for Rs.20 each and veg. Biryani for Rs.130.
Taste is Average.
Quit pocket friendly.
This one of the good restaurants in the nearby of vanaz corner area, they have very good quality of food and test, they are very fassst for service. I will go here many times with my office colleagues.
This pure veg restaurant near to my place, visit quite regularly. Ambiance is okiesh. Food is good same like other udupi restaurant. Quite pocket friendly.
Nice ambience...famous for veg food only...good to go wid family...must try = tawa mushroom, bundi raita, pav bhaji ,.......................
Have been here ample number of times. There's not a single dish in the Menu that i haven't tried. Its a budget restaurant. Value for money. Pav Bhaji is their speciality. Rating 3.5 because of the value for money food.
Best in food quality and quantity for this price range.
Visit this place very often. It's always a nice experience. The PANEER BASKET is a must try!😋
Samartha hotel is loacted near gujarath colony so easy to find

Today is 14 July 2018:
Just rated them a well-deserved "5" for some enhanced customer service from the captain and some AWESOME Paneer Chilly Dry and the heavenly soft and fresh paneer!!!
----------------------------
As I walked into Samarth for the umpteenth time this afternoon, the ambience, the staff, the gentleman at the counter and the loyal kaka who has served me for over a decade everytime I sat there for a snack, a thali or some vegetarian Chinese food, continue to give me a sense of complete assurance and warmth. Never once has Samarth given me the opportunity nor the reason to complain about stale or bad food.
My mother, (who usually winces at first bite everywhere I take here), swears by their food; be it the Sambar, Schezuan or Sizzler.
My daughter (not much of a fan for food with nutritional value) chose her staple Cheese Sada (plain) Dosa (₹75). The Sambar here tastes so pleasantly different and authentic compared to the one usually served in other restaurants. The coconut chutney was just the way mother makes at home. The Dosa had cheese enough to justify the name.
My mother and wife, after much fussing, 'umm's and 'aah's, thankfully settled for the Deluxe Punjabi (Limited) Thali (₹160 each) that includes a dessert.
They used to serve Maharashtrian thali once upon a time, but for some unapparent reason struck it off the menu a long time ago.
My son and I settled for good old Hakka Noodles (₹120), Schezuan Noodles (₹130) and Paneer Chilly (dry) (₹150) and a couple of soft drinks to wash the grease down.
I have yet to experience the delightful tastes of the Punjab, but the Deluxe came with a serving of tomato soup which I am sure was graced by Knorr.
The Chhole Masala and Paneer Makhanwala that made up the thali along with my wife's preference for Roti and Jeera Rice, lacked the spicy zing that I'd expect in a Punjabi preparation.
The Dal Fry was better though it fell short of my expectations as it lacked the expected zing too.
The noodles were satisfactorily good though I'd always stand by the non-veg version, elsewhere, anywhere.
The Paneer from the Paneer Chilly Dry was extremely soft and fresh but then that has always been and in general the preparation tasted no different than what you get elsewhere.
The Amrakhand we called for dessert was strictly okay and seemed to have been a Chitale Bandhu (an extremely popular Pune Sweet vendor) product.
The service here is good and the waiters are efficient and quick. The moment the five of us walked in, they immediately joined two six-seater tables and we did not have to squeeze and compromise our comfort.
Parking is a bit of a challenge and you are lucky if you find space in their reserved parking in the lane adjacent to the restaurant. The parking accommodates three four-wheelers and a fourth, if you drive down in a Tata Nano. I did and managed to squeeze the Nano between the lane and the generator.
The restaurant is frequented and trusted by the locals of Kothrud and although I reside on Sinhagad Road, roughly 11 kilometers away, Samarth is still a priority for us when it comes you a decent vegetarian meal.
A total bill of ₹1020 was reasonable enough and that kaka deserved his usual tip and as he wished me a happy Diwali, I walked out full and glowing.
M Still not able to take the taste of Chhole Bhature i ate in here out of my mind..Decent ambience n normal rates makes dis place one of my favourite food hub...
Use "ANURAGA" to get 100rs off on your Zomato Order.
Located on Paud road, this place is a nice place to have lunch and dinner. Pav bhaji from here is quite famous in the area. We had ordered paneer butter masala and naan with mango ice cream dessert. The taste was good and the prices were also reasonable. Overall a pocket friendly place.
Samarth is on Paud Road stretch in Kothrud at Vanaz.
Purely veg restaurant, has a wide variety of Vegetarian food from starters to desert.
Food taste is good. Service is good too.
A good restaurant for families to visit in Kothrud area.
Parking is a problem as it's one of the busiest area in Kothrud, but you can get it nearby.
Great place for pure veg, plenty of sitting area. Good food and fast delivery and it's best for your pocket. I love their all punjabi dishes. A must try guys.
Very old place and has survived as it's pocket friendly and serves good quality! But if you ever want to have anything exclusive you will be disappointed. Service is ultra slow... We had ordered 2 Doas and a Kachori.. The Doses were dead cold when asked they said it happens while bringing it from the kitchen! The management needs a refresher training.. It's not bad but they are too stuck in their comfort zone.
Visited here for lunch. Pretty good place. Service management was good. Ambience was normal. Service was fast. Medium crowd every time u will get. Sofas are not yhat comfortable still ok. Food tasted average. Ok for the price paid. Thanks.
It's really strange that this restaurant has got such low ratings. This is one of the nicest restaurants to visit with family and enjoy veg food. Their Thali is also very good. Oh yes and by the way, on weekend evenings you will have to wait for at least 10-15 minutes before you could get a table. Considering the average rating, this is strange, isn't it?
My opinion - very nice restaurant with quality food and good service.
Some years back this hotel became my daily mess. food quality is good. specially pav bhaji, tandoori aaloo is mouth watering! service needs to be improved. sometimes they take a bit long time to serve.
Samartha is a kind of hotel where you choose to have tea with your friends after work or grab a parcel on a random evening. I visit this place every now and then when I am in Kothrud with no fancy plans. Its good vegetarian restaurant in a area which has a lot of other options of all kinds. This time we visited the place after a long days travel on a hot summer Sunday. We just wanted something light before we called it a day.
The ambiance is okay. Nothing special. But is clean and well maintained. It has two parts. The enclosed one and the open air in the evenings. We ordered a masala dosa. It was good. The chutney was tasty and the sambar, a bit sour. But nothing to fuss about. Then we ordered curd rice. Now I am not a big curd fan. But boy did it was good that evening! It was just right. The flavor, the taste and it had a nice touch of pomegranate. It just lightened our exhaustion!
The other options on the menu are also good. Other South Indian cuisines are enjoyable. The pav-bhaji is also nice. I have tried sandwiches before. No problems as such anywhere. The service is also mostly efficient.
A couple of drawbacks to the place are its outside setting is quite close to the main road. That makes it a bit noisy. And in case a traffic blockage, it becomes really unbearable. Also the prices charged seem to be slightly more than whats its worth!
Usually I would have rated his hotel 2.5 or 3 at the most. But the additional rating for the pomegranate. You can try out this hotel in Kothrud. Its nothing to brag about but it won't let you down (if you go in with modest expectations)!
Nice taste since many years.
Value for money. Cost is not more... Now a days they have improved a bit on ambience...
Punjabi food always good!
Food quality and taste is ok. The only dish i love to eat every time i visit this restaurant is its Paav Bhaaji. Ambience and service can be improved.
Very Very VFM kinda restaurant.
Ambience isnt writing about but very clean surroundings.
Service is decent.
One of the better Snacks+Roti-Bhaji kinda restaurants in and around Kothrud :)
If you are looking for the veg food in Kothrud area then this is the place you are looking for . Have been to this restro many a times and was not disappointed yet with the food they serve . Ambiance is descent .
Normal rates with good food quality . Service is good .
In all Nice place to have veg food .
There are few restaurant in Kothrud area which are always delight to go to if you want to have veggie food. And this place comes right on top of the list.
Went there few times and I always returned back satisfied. They provide all the conventional north and south Indian dishes and enough choice of starters. Variety of snacks are good enough. Chinese food is also served. Taste of everything is always consistent and, more importantly, good.
Service is prompt. Waiters and other helpers are friendly. Ambiance is good too. I never got a chance to complain anything major about.
Price will surely look reasonable once you got to eat there once. So I would say, it is definitely the value of your money you'll spend there.
It is good from all point of views.
Taste is good, service is good, price is also good.
Here’s a very comforting and thoroughly enjoyable place that has catered all age groups, families, accidental visitors over at least two decades.
Over the time, the area turned prime and sought after. Many competing food joints, restaurants sprang up. Umpteen tea/snack outlets mushroomed and then fell by the way. Name a threat this wonderful place didn’t face! Yet It remained steadfast and trendy.
Quality, consistency, ambiance and table service have such a high benchmark here, it is foolish to not visit again.
Samarth Veg, you were always awesome. Please continue the fantastic streak.
I had a delightful dining experience at Samarth Veg Restaurant in Kothrud, Pune. The Amul Pav Bhaji exceeded my expectations with its delectable flavor, although I would have preferred a spicier kick. The Veg Biryani impressed me with its appealing texture and moderate spiciness. The food quality was commendable, and the prompt service enhanced the overall experience. The restaurant's diverse menu, encompassing Chinese, South Indian, parathas, and Punjabi dishes, offers a wide range of choices. Additionally, the reasonable and affordable prices make it an attractive option.
Decent place to get Punjabi vegetable and chapati or roti. They have good options for starters as well. It is not very crowded on weekends. We tried veg kurma and chapati. Veg kurma was average. But their other punjabi vegetables may be better. You get food at reasonable price compared to other restaurants.
Samarth Veg Restaurant stands as a testament to culinary consistency and tradition. As the oldest vegetarian eatery in the area, it holds a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike. Stepping into Samarth is like stepping back in time; the ambiance, untouched by the swift currents of modernization, exudes a nostalgic charm that's increasingly rare.
The menu at Samarth may seem familiar to a seasoned Kothrudkars, but the flavors are anything but ordinary. Their Pav Bhaji, a beloved Maharashtrian delicacy, is not just food, but a celebration of taste. Each bite of the butter-laden pav dipped in the spicy, vegetable-laden bhaji transports you to a world where flavor reigns supreme. It's not an overstatement to say that Samarth serves one of the best Pav Bhajis in Pune. The balance of spices, the freshness of ingredients, and the generous dollop of butter on top make it a dish that lingers in your memory.
Samarth Veg Restaurant, with its unchanged ambiance and unmatched flavors, is more than just a place to eat. It's a culinary landmark that has withstood the test of time, offering a taste of Pune's rich culinary heritage. Whether you're a local or just passing through, a visit to Samarth is a must for anyone seeking an authentic vegetarian experience.

Hotel ambience is decent. Staff is really good and service also. You can try punjabi dishes. Thali is good options for those who are looking budget friendly food it came with three types of sabji. Chinese food was not that great it will disappoint you. If you are not planning to have regular dishes you can try pavbhaji which has good taste. Overall rating is 3
Value for money. Very Good food Quality & service as well
The Pav Bhaji at Samarth Restaurant was simply outstanding. The flavors were bold and complex, with a perfect balance of spices and seasonings that made each bite a true delight. The dish was served hot and fresh, with the pav being soft and buttery, complementing the spicy and savory flavors of the bhaji.
But it wasn't just the food that impressed me - the service at Samarth Restaurant was also fantastic!❤️
