Pune has very good place to try a very local item called misal pav. I like the spicy gravy it is very oily but really tasty. Farsan is served with it along with onion, lemon and pav.
I am a fan of Sir misal and go there to have it specially when ever I travel to Pune. Just live the taste.

Yes the misal war good.. located in the heart of the city.. has variety of misals... like Dahi misal.. sir special misal... cheese misal.... bhakari misal... etc.. I tried all but the one I liked is Cheese misal...
It has but no parking space of its own.. u have to park at ur own risk on the road itself...

Cozy and happening place with cool ambience. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting arrangements.
At lunch time they also have option of Bhakari (flat bread) for those who don’t like Pav (bun).
Now about food we ordered;
* Kolhapuri Misal - agdi chamchamit (spicy and tasty) which they serve with extra Rassa (spicy gravy) and kande (onions) on side.

Nice and cheap. Despite being from kolhapur I like this misal. Raasa was special. My sis who isn't a big fan of misals also liked it, so there must be something.
The place is quite famous and we had been there for a brunch kind of a thing. This place doesn't disappoint at all.
We had one Sat misal (their staple) and the kolhapuri version of the misal. We ordered solkadhi, taak and curd rice. Loved the curd rice with it's rusty flavours.
Had a nice experience and met all our expectations.
Though there was a waiting for 5-10 mins, the manager/owner made quick arrangements and we could place our order.
The place has also come up with a lot of combos and the "Mahathali".
All in all a must visit eatery when in Pune.
This is a new Misal place on FC Road with very limited seating. The service is pretty slow. Also I found it to be bit overpriced. But the taste was pretty good.
We had the mahamisal which contained of 2 misals and was served with 3 paav. They also served dahi bhaat and fried bobby. The thali contains 2 kinds of pulses, 2 kinds of tarri and 2 kinds of farsan. They give u a separate bowl in which you can mix whatever u want. The shendanacha ladoo completes the dish.
Yesterday only I have visited this place and it was great to be there 😍😋Super Tasty Misal . Quantity, quality taste everything is so nice.I would definitely like to go there to have such an amazing misal again and again.With Misal they also serves Mattha(ButterMilk) and it's really awesome.

Visited this place today with the intention of having a different kind of misal and this place did not disappoint at all. Sir Misal is the specialty of this restaurant and it is spicy so if you like Spicy food, this place is for you. The only thing I observed is, it is little bit expensive. They have various types of misal and I am definitely going to try all.

Good misal served in a clean and hygienic environment. I tried the SIR misal and the kolhapuri misal. Both were well made ...kolhapuri is the spicier version of the regular misal. They also have solkadhi and spiced buttermilk which are very refreshing and tone down the spice from the misal. They have limited options for sweets...gulkand burfi is good . Service is super fast and very friendly .
Wanna activate and satisfy your taste buds? Best option to try here are Misal and Idli samar with chutney..

We, 17-18 of us come to pune every year one Ganesh Chaturti for the darshan of Dagdu Seth Halvai Ganpati.
Now we were hungry and Pune aaya aur Puneri missal nahin khaya toh kya khaya. The busndriver is now sick and tired of us because of our picky choice and came across Sir Missal.
A decent placr, clean and hygenic and all so we decided to crash here. I enter and they are short staffed and believe it or not, the guy who was about to leave for the day said, "areh, main 10 min baad jayega aap log baitho" and this kid won my heart immediately.
Our order was very simple
Sir Special + Nimbu pani / lassi
Trust me guys, simple food served to sweep you off the feet. The way it is served was amazing, the way it tasted was amazing as well.

This is a small place for misal very yummy and tasty. Even the spicy misal was eatable. Not like many other restaurants where we cannot bare spicyness. It would have been more good if the quantity of misal was more. One can eat 2 misal easily.

The Place is well maintained. Not only it has Misal Pav (but obvious) but Pav bhaji , Sweets like ladoos, some barfi, gajar halwa etc
I tried normal Sir Misal and tasted Kolhapuri Misal but could not try Bhakari Misal (i was full)

I quite like this place. The owners are friendly and man the counters themselves, thereby giving a sense of quality assurance. Did not make any issues when I asked for extra helping of the 'rassa'. Very well packed for takeaway.
The Misal itself was yummy. Rassa was not the Kolhapur style, per say, but had enough in it to keep the taste buds interested and the sweat glands active.
Take Misal quite often, since it's the closest to home.. totally recommended on an overcast, cold weekend morning. Enjoy

We tried the Sir misal and the Kolhapuri misal. The difference being there was shev chivda in the Kolhapuri misal instead of the usual farsan. Quite tasty and spicy just as much to my liking and the quantity was really good. Would definitely recommend to visit the place. Kudos!

One stop for authentic Puneri Misal! The taste was really good, arrived hot but not too spicy which is great.! Enjoy with a glass of coldrink or better yet, with lassi.! The service could be better but they don't compromise on food quality.! Satisfy your misal cravings here,you wont regret it.!!

Good variety on the misal side; I would recommend Sir Misal from the menu card but if you want a spicy version then it is Kolhapur misal. Butter milk is superb while Sol kadi is fine. The service is good and the dishes are pocket friendly; worth a visit !
My best friend from Bangalore/Hyderabad was in town for a week... So he always has this bucket list whenever he's in Pune... Misal was one of the things on the list.... So here we were at Sir Misal looking for authentic Misal Pav...
First thing that I particularly liked was they have the traditional matki usal(mat/moth beans) included in the Misal which is missing in the ever so hyped Katakirrr Misal... Other than that the Misal had everything that a authentic Misal should have alongwith with a nice and spicy sample!!!!!!(Misal curry) without which no Misal can be complete...
My friend satisfied his craving for Misal Pav and I was happy too to have tasted good authentic Misal Pav so close to my residence!!!! All in all good place for Misal!!! Cleanliness of the place is pretty good too..@

I am a Misal addict and Sir Misal is one of my spots for misal pav. I enjoy trying various misal joints accross Pune and around, so when i tried Sir Misal few years back i just loved it truely. Post Civid times Sir Misal had stopped serving for a few months but now they are back and i am glad. There are different varieties of misals from lite to spicy, Kolhapur special to Puneri so you can make you own choice.
Its easy to locate, is just right besides hotel Lalit Mahal on FC road.
If you are misal addict then you should try Hotel Anand Bhuvan in Khadki Bazaar and Pranjal Misal on Pune Mumbai Highway at Vadgaon.
