Went to this place two times late night. Amazing place . Always ordered chicken keema with steaming hot paranthe!! Chicken keema is amazingly tasty. You must visit here and try this dish.
One of few places serving the whole range of food and remains open at odd hours.
They open up at around 3 in the morning. Ideal time to satiate those early morning hunger pangs. They serve everything from paratha, main course, Biryani etc.
The food is served nice and hot and as a result the place is always crowded. It is good to have such places. You never know when you need them, even if u don't work night shifts.
Wat else would u prefer here at the night order. Food quality is good. Service up to the marks. It's an insomniac joint only but a visit is worth it. Paisa wasool
When you're hungry at 2am this is the place to go to! The Chinese food out here and the biryani satisfy my midnight hunger pangs! The food isn't exceptional, but it's the best you'd get out here at 2am.
It was at 2100 Hrs that we decided that instead of cooking, let's just order something. Last time, we had ordered from Chopsticks Malabar Spice and the paneer tikka masala was horrible. We wanted something subtle and I came across Eat Street 42.
I must say that I just loved the food. We ordered veg pulav and khichdi with two butter parathas.
Veg Pulav: It was the perfect blend of veggies and the best part was that it was not at all spicy. The quantity that they serve is sumptuous and was enough for three bhukkad's.
Khichdi: It is not authentic but a mix of rice-n-daal but still, it was yummy. I think they are using tuar daal for khichdi (though as per the "rule" it should be moong masur). However, regardless of which daal it was, the khicdi was worth it. I just realized that I wrote more about khichdi than veg pulav. :)
Raita: Now this is where they can improve. It tasted good but the quantity of the raita was so less that it was demanding three of us to fight and the winner will get it. Though, we were tired to fight, so we just shared it (300 fought for "Sparta" but 3 did not fight for "Raita"). Same applies to the tiny bit of salad.
Butter Paratha: I'd to order it as the minimum order for home delivery is Rs. 200/-. However, the paratha was very soft and stayed paratha till I ate it (instead of turning papad).
All-in-all, great taste and light on the pocket. I wanted to rate it 4 but the quantity of "raita-n-salad" is forcing me to rate it 3.5.
A unique cafe with a unique set up
Should be crowded with youngsters but the location deprives the joint
Awesome cold coffee and chole bhathure
Timings are also great
A must go for late night hungers
On one of our night prowls we came came across this food joint and boy did we like it!
A sweet Lil place run by people who know food, and not just any cuisine but the typical north Indian cuisine. A craving of biryani, paranthas or egg review can be met here with an assurance of contentment.
The stuffed paranthas are yum. I tried the chicken keema parantha. It was nicely served with salad and achaar. After I was done I was left asking for more!!
The point being my fellow foodies whether a mid day dilli ka swad or a midnite paronthon ki yaad, this place is the one.
Go ahead binge and share your experience!
Happy Hogging!! :)
Awesome keema paratha n keema pav. Must have the succulent mutton dum Biryani freshly made at 2:00 am. What does a carnivore need more in the middle of the night? Indeed amazing!
Nice and little place with good food. If you are looking for a place which serves delicious food with homely taste this is a good place to try.
If you are fed up from typical hotel type food then eat street is the must visit place....Very hygienic and tasty MMC Thalis , genuine prices.
Wonderful taste. Just like home cooked. Especially Dal, Bhindi and Gobi.
Chapatis are too soft and served with ghee.
Try Dahi papdi chaat for different taste.
Thali options are good too.
Amazing food, home cooked food away from home.... Must visit..... If you are craving for home food; Eat Street 42 is the place. Delicious.......
Great place to have homely food, especially if you're longing for home made food. The parathas and chola bhatura are pretty good, so are the chats. Also checkout the drinks which are totally VFM and yet surprisingly good! So are the combos. The phulkas are light, and home-like. All in all, definitely a go to place if you are in Viman Nagar!
I came across this place about a year ago and have been ordering frequently ever since. The food is hygienic (I check out the kitchen once) and the taste is authentic. The service is quick and the staff is polite. I recommend the Paneer Ka Bhatura, Paan Kheer, Kadhi Pakoda, Chaat Tikki and the Combo meals.
In case you decide to eat at the restaurant and not just order in, you can hear some great music and maybe even catch Tushar, the owner and operator of the joint entertain you with his guitar.
Came across this place on Tastykhana in bid to look for some South Indian home delivery options around home in Viman Nagar. Since their minimum order requirement was 200 bucks, we went full throttle on a full fledged dinner. Maybe it was our hunger, but we were mighty impressed with their food.
Idli: Freshly steamed, and soft this was quite the perfect idli. The sambhar was a tad watery and bland though. Maybe it is my palate that is accustomed to the tangy tomato based sambhar at Venkataraman, but this sambhar lacked oomph. The fresh coconut chutney, elevated by the mustard seeds and curry patta made up for it.
Rajma-Phulka: The rajma was reminiscent of the home-style stuff. Subtly spiced yet flavoursome, moderate oily and a refreshing garnishing of coriander, the gravy was in a wonderful unison with soft and well cooked rajamas. The phulkas were soft, cooked in whole-wheat, and yes quite homely too.
Anjeer Shake: Anjeers are expensive creatures, but you would not know that looking at the pretty vfm shake. Thick with blended anjeer, what I liked most about this shake was the limited use of sugar which allowed the anjeers with all their natural fructose to shine through.
Overall two thumbs up to what looks like a reliable option for home style food In Viman Nagar.
So i was craving for some Indian food for my dinner and happen to come across this great place in Viman nagar. I ordered rajma-chawal ( coz everyone knows if someone can cook yummy rajma-chawal, he is THE cook :P ). And they were tastier than i expected them to be !! ( Ekdum mummy ke haath ka khana types :D ).
I then ordered anjeer shake and it was divine (just what i needed).
So guys, if anyone's wanna have some yummy Indian food then go for this restaurant. It has many mouthwatering dishes and I am sure you would love to go there again and again. They also have tiffin services (for those who can't cook after coming back from your work, this is THE PLACE you should go for). And I am damn sure you won't be disheartened.
Some of the dishes i've tried and would strongly recommend are :
- Rajma chawal
- Anjeer shake
- Masala idli
- Veg pulao
- Cold coffee
- Any stuffed parathas etc etc :D
I bet you'll enjoy having food from here. Cheers :)
( PS - Aunty's always there to treat you well and make sure you're comfortable )
