I visited this place for first time. The food was very good and simple. Much to the delight of all, there was varieties of maharastrian dishes with great taste. The only problem we faced was card payment was not available otherwise it is worth visiting this place.
Very tasty and simple food. Not too oily, not too spicey. Good menu. Recommend if you want to have good Maharashtrian fooold.
Only improvement area could be bit more prompt service.
If you wanna have typical Maharashtrian thali, it is decent place. Food is ok, a bit expensive to what they provide.. Not upto the mark compared to other dining halls around this place. Overall OKish restaurant.
Food is good. Ambience is ok. Variety decent. Quality good. Value for price okay. Restaurant for family lunch. Typical Maharashtrian thali. Been a while i have visited this place.
Its the very old and welknown place for authentic Maharashtrian Thali. It used to be my most favorite place once upon a time.
But now, I really feel that somewhat the "touch" is missing from their thali. Taste is good. Some of the items fom the menu are really amazing. Still I was not satisfied with the thali.
However, I do suggest this place who wants to try authentic maharashtrian thali.
Rasoi dining hall is right next to where I live. So I almost lived up eating at the place of course a family going place.
The ambience doesn't matter as the food is so delicious ( you gotta have a puneri taste bud to appreciate the taste of the food).
Perfect Maharashtrian thali with aalo bhaji puran poli shrikhand masale bhat varan bhat and ghee.
I'm almost drooling writing this down. Worth a visit if you love Maharashtrian home made food.
Oh and speaking of the prices , its so dead cheap that you'd probably end up paying for all the people with you.
Maharashtrian thali. The food is good, not very oily and served in right proportions.
When asked if the overhead fan speed can be reduced...the answer was...no fan regulator...so if you want; sit under that fan or get wet under your collar. It's not comfortable. When asked if bill worth 5000 can be paid with card...again a very terse 'no' was the answer.
'Eat the food..since you are hungry...hospitality, what's that?'. It's that kind of a hotel.
Hall is good. Place is ok. Service is descent. Considering Price range the food quality is good. The sweets are exceptionally good, I mean the quality of ingredients used. Staff is supportive. It is connected to a hall for functions like marriage, etc. Been here recently, the aalu chi bhaji.. Hats off. Typical taste what my grandmother used to make. Not so spicy, no oily taste but you are in sleep mode after the lunch.
Puneri j1!! Shista badha ani Swacha vadpi..
Time madhe jeva, bhar poor kha, Khoop agraha kartat..
Awesome batata bhaji...varan Bhat wow
Good thali place.. Shopping karoon damla asal tar Gud place in shaniwar peth
The best big fat Maharashtrian thali in Pune (sweets charged extra :P)
This place is located in old Pune, so don't expect car parking, leisure sitting and the best hospitality.
Supreme Maharashriyan Thali. Great taste not very spicy, and unlimited food all you can eat.
You can choose out if 6 to 7 desserts. Like gulabjamun or rasmalai etc. You can try this dining hall for sure.
I have been coming here with my family during occasions since I was a kid, so may be I'm fond this place.
It's very important to watch the people who serve you as you may end up extra roti, or pakodas in your plate when you were busy talking out eating:).
Be aware that you are gonna end up with heavy tummy, with all the food. So choose your day wisely.
Service is good
OK ambiance
Worth trying.
Tasty and authentic Maharashtrian meal. Finding a seat could take time but it is worth it. Basundi was the best!
MaharashtrIan food. Sunday menu is really special to all those want to have such good Food on weekend
Good.. Shudh marathi jewanachi chaw..
Rasoi is a typical maharashtrian dining hall. The hall is very clean and hygenic. The food served is good. You will get authentic maharashtrian food at Rasoi. However, i feel the maharashtrian thali served at Rs. 175 is slightly overpriced when you compare to some other dining halls in the town.
Still, I would suggest this place to foodies who want to try some nice maharashtrian food.
This restaurant is on the first floor. Simple menu - Veg Thali and some sweets. Thali is Maharashtrian style, unlimited. Staff comes and serves items of the Thali. They were pretty quick in their service.
Food is bland, with less spicy. Chapathi are thin and well done. Rice items were just two -plain and pulav. Pulav, surprisingly was sweet! Other dishes had sweet tinge of taste in them.
Two hand washes are there. Restrooms are on ground floor. Limited parking is there for four wheelers.
Came here after 15 yrs.. Food is still as good as it was back in it's glory days. Ambience is still as it was, give you nice old Pune Banquet feel.
As I said, taste is great and service is awesome.
Spices free meal, good chutney and pickles , i liked masala bhat most
Serving persons were less and took much time to get the ready food, but food taste is great 😃, chairs are not comfy, you'll have to sit 90 degree straight.
Very amazing experience.
Tasty Food with a touch of motherly elegance.
Must visit for Pune visitors.
Nice Host,
Very cooperative Staff and owner
Best for Family Dinner
Also good for small function meal
Pure Veg
Very nice quality food. Enjoyed the typical maharashtrian food. Reasonable rates and fine tasty meal.
Authentic Maharashtrian Thaali food. Decent and polite service, awesome taste and less crowd. Though in city, they have parking available.
Service was good but if you are spicy loved people then this place is not for u...if u r thali lover then go and eattt the feast😋😋🤤🤤
Beautiful place, great food. I visited on a day when it was an auspicious time for most of the Brahmin families, so the place was empty. Could get a place easily. Interiors are beautiful the walls are white/cream, some old fashioned tables and chairs a typical Maharashtrian Khanaval.
The thali had, Bhindi sabzi, Puri bhaji, Amti (Sambar), Kadi, Papad, Rotis, Kaanda bhaji, Batata Sabudana Bhaji, chutneys, Masala bhaath and more. All were amazing, homely food and very tasty. I loved their Kadi, amazing. I also ordered an extra sweet, Basundi. Basundi was also very tasty. Service was quick, made sure he addressed all requests.
Ambience - 5/5
Service - 5/5
Food - 5/5
Overall - 5/5
The Best place for dining with family. Food is very tasty. Thin and hot chapatis, amazing sabji & side dishes and awesome desert make you to visit frequently. Service is fast and courteous. The ambiance is clean and simple. Parking facility is also available.
