Tasty tambada pandhara Kolhapuri rassa...bhakari... chicken sukka.. chicken curry...sol kadhi..I loved this spice chicken thali. It is so mouth watering.

Nice place with very minimal ambiance and an okay-ish kind of service. This place serves Kolhapuri thalis and that is what we ordered. We had one Special Chicken Thali & one Special Mutton Thali. One thing I really don't understand is why people outside Kolhapur consider Kolhapuri food being spicy as hell. And due to that, the food in the name of Kolhapuri is usually very spicy wherever I eaten it. Kolhapuri food is NOT spicy (a little, probably!). Rather, it is all about maintaining the balance between the spiciness and the subtle flavors of Kolhapuri khada masalas. The food here was no exception. Although, the chicken and mutton both were fresh & tender and the quality of chicken and mutton was extremely good, no doubt. But the overall food was very spicy. And that very spiciness was overpowering and eventually killing the delicate flavors of meat. Prices are pretty reasonable. This place could easily be one of the best restaurants which serves Kolhapuri thalis only if they pay attention towards the spiciness of food and cut it down a little.

My review today is based on the home delivery.
I haven't yet experienced the ambiance and thalis at this place however I would definitely consider ordering stuff from here for a few more times for sure.
We wanted to order something to accompany with the leftover bhakris we had hence decided to go for Chicken Kharda and Chicken rassa.
The payment and delivery by Zomato was hassle free and quick.
No sooner than the parcel reached the door we could smell the aroma of the green Kharda. We quickly opened the well packed packets and relished both the rassa and Kharda.
• Chicken rassa - This is typical authentic kolhapuri tamba rassa as expected but slightly over spicy.
• Chicken Kharda - simply ❤️ loved this one. Boiled chicken pieces tossed in a coarse mixture (known as kharda) made of garlic, ginger, coriander, coconut and green chillies. We could taste the flavours of each component separately.
The balance between the ingredients was amazing too, though the additional chopped chillies made it over spicy and kind of overpowered in terms of adding extra heat however it's "the kharda" and it happens to be spicy so no complaints.
Highly recommended.
Visiting soon to relish the thalis.

Wanted to try chicken thali here since a while. Post meal I wasn't exactly blown away, but was quite satisfied. Kheema and egg curry were delicious. Tambda and pandhara rassa both, lacked some flavour. The chicken was good. Staff was cooperative and the service was fast. Full marks there. The sitting arrangement is decent. There's a separate family section as well. Overall, it's a good experience.

I would say one of the best place to have authentic kolhapuri tambada pandhara rassa. They made both tambada pandhara rassa with better authentic taste. Dahi kanda and masala Rice they serve are with unique authentic taste.

My friend took me here,we came here all the way from Baner to taste the kolhapuri,it was really nice as the name suggests, owner is from kolhapur and has managed the taste perfectly should improve tambda rassa a little bit otherwise perfect. Will come again n again 😍

Authentic Kolhapuri food. Loved mutton thali, properly cooked mutton with nice kheema. I definitely recommend this restaurant over any kolhapuri restaurant at Pimpri Chinchiwad.
Also loved Jawar Bhakari, they serve it fresh and hot. Other breads like chapati, tandoor roti are also good. Staff is responsive and help you while order.
Inspite of this there is always scope for improvement in Ambience, Digital payment options.

Another Thursday , once again i was on food hunt which ended up near Akurdi Railway station at Sk'z Kolhapur .This restaurant is easy to find as this locality is famous for many food joints and also easy to reach as its near to railway station .This is a small place not fancy but ambiance is good . Main this is this place is clean and tidy as its a daily adda of thali eaters and college students and hygiene is maintained also so i was happy .
Well as you can see Pune has lots of Maharashtrian Cuisine eateries , restaurants and every place has its unique taste and when its come to Maharashtrian gavran food i like food quality and taste over ambiance and fancy decoration which i found over here.
Coming to the main part , As i was with friend we decided to go with half mutton handi , bhakri and chapati because she didn't want to eat whole thali all by herself so unfortunately i had to agree to this. We started with solkadhi which a preparation of kokam and coconut water , Solkadhi was awesome and had a bit spicy taste which was perfect for me. I ended up drinking two of that .Mutton grave came in no time and both bhakri and chapati's were fresh and hot .Bhakri did disappoint us as it wasn't soft but hard and crispy which i personally didn't like at all.Eating bhakri was hard for her as it wasn't soft and we felt like eating with papad .Chapati was hot and huge so it was a plus point .Mutton gravy was thick and perfect in every manner .It was spicy it had all spices which a prefect gravy must have and meat was cooked good also but as you can say they had to prepare mutton in large amount i found some mutton chunks well cooked and tender but some were half cooked and chewy .But over all mutton gravy was fantastic and in huge portion which was expected .
Overall my experience was super satisfying .I'll recommend this place to spicy kolhapuri style food lovers .Staff is helping and very attentive .Unfortunately i didn't try the famous thali and pandhra tambda rassa which i'll definately on my next visit .Well again this thursday i ended up on my bed with satisfaction :D

Very good place. Though ambiance is not that good the taste is awesome. Visited multiple times and Had mutton thali and chicken thali. Both were very good. Both tamba and padhara rassa tastes great. Wait time during Peak hours was 10 min but it was worth waiting.

Have been here several time. Best place to have Chicken thali with tambda and pandhara rassa. Chicken thali and chicken rassa is also nice. Usually a bit spicy but you can ask them to prepare medium spicy. The size of chapati they serve is really huge. Tables are clean all the time. Tambda and Pandhara rassa is awesome. Do visit.

It was one of the most authentic kolhapuri food I had till day (in pune). Especially the pandhra rassa and solkadhi. I ws full on stomach bt still wit a hungry heart, mind, eyes and taste buds :-D
Even the chapati was fresh, hot and huge to quench my hunger.
And this all just for Rs.200 is an amazing deal.
Even the maratha veg thali was authentic wit dry n gravy veg, varan, chapatis, papad and solkadhi. This all jst for Rs.60.
All this with an extra glass of solkadhi, total for Rs.280 made an amazing lunch wit my wife on the weekend.
I recommend SK'z Kolhapur to all my friends.

A separate AC family room. One AC works only... Today, Where do u get a full Well prepared, Freshly baked, good, lovely, Tandoori Roti in ₹ 10 in 2014 ? Here u get it baked fresh and size of the roti mesmerises... Mutton keema masala is a gr8 pick too. Overall Aaaahsome...

Visited the Hotel for 5th time and this time it was in a New Bigger place, it shows the hotel is has excellent food and service also. Tried Spl. Mutton Thali for 3rd time really amazing taste.
Especially Mutton Khima was awesome. Solkadhi is also good.
And above all a homely atmosphere.
I will recommend this hotel to everybody.

Very Very Tasty Food at a Very Reasonable Price. Service is also excellent. The ONLY good place for Kolhapuri Dishes in and around Nigdi, Chinchwad, Pimpri. Waiters are also well trained.
The real Kolhapuri food by Ppl from kokhapur... Yes Being a visitor to this city .. i came across this Restaurant after a recommendation from a localite on being asked about Kholapuri food.
A nice cosy place as you enter, typical of pune restaurants which comes under this category of restaurant,when asked about some food recommendation we had really good option of must try, so going in from one of them we ordered mutton fry Thali with Ghadhichi Chapati, to be amazed by the spices and flavor which gives out hint that they were made to perfection which gave pretty good taste to tongue,
I had kholapuri food some time back on GOA in one of the restaurant in panaji ,which was nothing but only full of spices without the taste, but here i had the real taste of food, will miss that taste back in north india,

Best hotel for non veg lovers
This hotel will surely be in one of my favorite non veg hotels lists for serving one of the best tamnda and pandra rassa.
I had skipped this hotel after reading it's review on Google but fortunately I visited this place assuming it to be some other place and I am pleased to discover such a good place for non veg which I have already added in my favourite list after 1st visit itself.
I think the review written about this place really don't match (only negative ones).
Ambiance is good. They have separate block for family which is also very nice and has AC arrangements done.
But the food is really very tasty and I think everyone should be loyal to themselves while reviewing the food.
I saw few review where it's was mentioned that food is very bad but I think such people really don't have respect for the food they eat.
I know that everyone has there own point of view and may have different choice of taste in food but what I experienced today is that wrong reviews can affect good places .
In some reviews people complained that service is late. I can agree on that point. They have slow service but the food is worth wait.
I do agree that there is a scope for improvement in each of there department.
I am also slightly disappointed with there chicken thali as the chicken masala in the thali wasn't that great but as I said in the start, this is the best place for tambda and pandhra rassa lovers.
I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. If you like tamba and pandra rassa you must visit this place.
And if you get confused after reading so many review then you can try egg thali which will cost 130 /- and will include annda masala , tambda rassa , pandra rassa ,soal kadhi , masala rice and bhakri /roti/ chapti what ever you prefer.

The tambda pandhra rassas were too good! The kharda mutton which we specially came for was good but not great.The preparation was different from the place I had earlier (Surves). The quantity and quality of mutton used was good too along with attentive staff. Overall a good experience.

I've been visiting the restaurant for the last 5 years now and it's still one of my go-to places for spicy kolhapuri food. Being famous for it's red and white curries. The place also serves amazing fried chicken and biryanis. The thali section in the menu offers you a combo of a few dishes with the option of having unlimited red and white curry. The ambience isn't very eye pleasing but it's cozy with a separate family room and a few paintings depicting the farmer's life in rural kolhapur. The consistency of the taste wavers at time, hence the four stars.
Service is a bit slow in afternoon time. Food is quite good though, and yes spicy too!
I have visited this place on my Friend's recommendation and I will visit few more times.
I have ordered Special Mutton Thali with Bhakri. It contains Mutton Kheema n Mutton Fry along with small portion of egg curry. It also includes Thamda Pandra Rassa and Sol Kadhi. The mutton was tendered, spicy(not extreme) and delicious. You must try Pandra rassa for sure. Overall experience was really good.

Nice food, bhakris are very big, comparing the price, the deal is good. Also there was crowd for non vegetarian food means it would be good too. We had a vegetarian thaali. The menu photos are attached. Would surely prefer to eat again. They are understaffed it seems. That's the only issue faced by us.
