It's a huge chain quite famous in Bangalore. This joint is famous for its 'filter' coffee and different south-indian combo it serves. Ideally meant for brunches cause the combos are quite bountiful and has a mix of mini islia, mini dosa, vada, kerela parotha, curd rice, kesari , etc. The quantity is sufficient for 1 and some combos for more than one person. Price is reasonable, though the packaging charges are more.
The flavours are spot on , a must try outlet around magarpatta and Amanora. The UTHLI is one good find over the unhealthy burgers and to finish the wonderful meal go for the trademark filter coffee, Worth every penny .
Ordered for the first time since I'd got cravings for some south Indian food. And I would gladly say that Upsouth did not disappoint me in any way. The chutneys didn't just appear good, but they tasted like heaven. The cute mini idlis were easy to gulp and mouth watering. Filter coffee just made my day!

A place situated just in front of Magarpatta, adjoining Pizza Hut. It has both indoor & outdoor(covered) sitting. It is a self service restraunt. On ordering, you will be given a device with token number which vibrates & flashes light when the order will be ready.
Ordered 2 Up South special Combos. The service was fast. The masala Dosa was a bit cold, as if it was prepared some time back. The poori was thin, hot & a bit crispy. 2 chutney served with the combo were also good.
After the meal, had a filter coffee, which is prepared near the outer sitting area. Coffee was pretty average.

Being a big time lover of South Indian food, this place is a blessing to me. The best South Indian so far in Pune. We ordered Rawa Masala Dosa, A Masala Dosa, Poori Bhaji, Medu vada and Filter Coffee. All of them were simply amazing. I would prefer the a la carte rather than going for the combos. Would visit again for other dishes as well and for the love of filter coffees.
They serve lovely hot tasteful dosas. The cheesy sabudana vada were indeed yummy ! The chutneys are nicely spiced up. A good experience in all.

Upsouth has a good ambience, good food, also the service is quick and the staff is friendly. We had combo and butter milk which we totally liked and enjoyed.

As there are very few South Indian restaurants who serve South Indian food apart from usual idli and dosa , this place gives you a glimpse of South Indian food , however does not cover most of the things popular on south India .

Well this place was on my bookmarks for quite a long time. So decided to visit for a breakfast on a weekday while on my way to office. Since it was morning time the place was reallh deserted. Its a self service restaurant like any other kfc or mcdonalds. I ordered a idli vidli combo and a filter coffee. Costed me 120 bucks but i would say that the food quality and quantity was worth the price. The wada, the idlis and the sambar and chutney were all really good in taste. I must say they are way better than any other vendor serving in DC. Special mention for the filter coffee for its authenric flavour. Recommended for all the people who are game for south indian cuisine.

I love the Dosa they serve. Crispy, brown and size just perfect. Neither too big nor too small. The 3 types of chutneys are my fav. I am not much of a Sambhar fan and always swap it with my husband with the chutneys.
My another fav in the rawa onion masala dosa, idli and the Big Medu Wada.
The buttermilk is something which I always order when I visit them in summer.
But for all other occassions, the filter coffee is a must. Some times, I just visit them to have a cup of authentic filter coffee and can vouch many do the same like me.
A nice cozy place to enjoy good south Indian food. Though sometimes been disappointed with cold dosas. The staff is great that they immediately correct the error by serving hot dosa. Though would not prefer that everytime. The rating is pulled up because of superb filter coffee you get there.
The food was good, I ordered a combo and the Utthapam and vada were quite good. Mini idli could do with some ghee. I usually judge a South Indian restaurant with the sambhar it serves. Though the sambhar was decent, do not expect a Saravana bhavan here. For the amount we paid, we came back quite satisfied.

I love South Indian food especially Dosa's. I'd heard a lot about this place from a friend of mine and therefore this was a must visit place for my next Pune trip! Ambiance- The ambiance of this place is just ok, we had been at 11am on a Saturday morning and the place was almost vacant. The place is pretty clean and well maintained. Their AC was not working and they don't have fans! So basically this is no fancy restaurant you should visit here only for your craving of South Indian food! Food - We ordered combo's - Masala Dosa combo which was accompanied by mini idli's and filter coffee; Cheese uttapa; Snacky combo; Plain Uttapa; Kesari bhaat. They serve their uttapa's and dosa's with 3 types chutney's minus the podi powder though! The dosa was good, nothing extraordinary about it. I liked the Cheese uttapa and Snacky combo which was served with some cheesy balls (yummie), sabudana wada, veg cutlet/ potato wada and a Malabari parotha sandwich which was good. I was really looking forward to try their Kesari bhaat and filter coffee but it turned out just ok. Their Sambhar was a let down! However I really like the way they serve the food.I found this place average, the guys really need to work on the food to make this place extraordinary or at par with Madras Café!Need to mention, I like the way they've designed the tissue papers and the order completion device! :)

One of the nice places to have good South Indian food.. Prices are reasonable as well.. Pongal is available here which is pretty difficult to find in Pune and it's good as well.. Curd rice is just awesome... 😋Home delivery service is also good.. We got our breakfast delivered within 30 mins..
I am a big South Indian food fan but this place didn't excite me.
The veg cutlet was good but paper masala dosa was very ordinary. Butter milk was extra strong and spoiled the mood.
Though their order completion sensor and half paper napkins were really cool (see the pic)

Recently visited upsouth for lunch, they have an ample space for parking and the ambience gives a feeling that we are in some state of southindia. This Viman Nagar outlet has started serving ice creams which has quite a nice selection of flavours and the tastes is too good😋 I tasted their roasted almond one which was so delicious😍

Thatte ghee Podi idly: The idly was so soft topped with ample amount of ghee and Podi masala served with sambar, coconut, & tomato chutney which was so tasty😋
Ghee Podi masala Dosa: This dosa is a must try it was crispy with lots Podi masala and topped with ghee goes well with chutneys and sambar
Ghee tomato & onion uttapam: Both the uttapam was so soft and tasty uttapam lovers must try this serves great with both the chutneys and sambar
All the dosas were so crispy and tasty even the potato filling was yum serves best with both the chutneys and sambar
Ghee Andra Podi idly: The mini Podi idly was fabulous the Podi masala tasted so good tastes great with sambar and both the chutneys
Ghee mini idly: These were so soft bite sized idlis topped with lots of ghee goes very well with both the chutneys and sambar
Malabari parota sandwich: The parota sandwich was good it was a new to me and if you are a sandwich lover then you must try this
Cold coffee with ice cream: This one is a filter cold coffee tastes good must try on a sunny day
Kesari bath: This is a must try sweet dish not so sweet and tastes so good which melts in mouth.
Overall it was a great experience tasting some great South Indian items they have a nice service loved it😋✨

Visited Upsouth on a Saturday night around 11 pm, no rush was there. Good place to try out Dosa and other dishes. The authentic ghee which melted in my mouth is what I liked the most. The service time can be quicker.
Menu has a decent variety but ambience can be better as I saw few of the plants getting dry. Desserts and different juices were available for order too.

The last time I went to Upsouth it was much bigger with a different menu, so I was a little unsure. After eating here today, I must say I prefer this version. Really nice and interesting menu combos. I ordered the Mysore Masala dosa, a cold coffee and a filter coffee for my dad. They recognized my dad and knew he drank a stronger coffee. The dosa and chutneys were delicious! I was very pleasantly surprised, not humongous like many restaurants where you can barely finish it. Definitely quality over quantity. The place is cute and service quick, with personal touches like they stopped the music and it was too loud and I also mentioned their buzzer was extremely loud and the cashier happily took that feedback. I will be going again :)

This is one small outlet of UpSouth in viman Nagar. For price point it is really reasonable but it keeps up with the taste and presentation.
I went there for a quick bite and ordered a plain masala dosa and cold coffee and I left happy by the taste and price.
It is near to Phoenix Mall with a walkable distance.
