This is a very good place for breakfast.
Food - 4/5
The poha is awesome, soft, moist served with coconut chtney perfect mix of sweetness and chilli.
Also must try is the Thatte idli, equivalent to the size of 2 normal idlis. It is coated with butter and sprinkled with dry spicy powder.
Also loved the chai and filter coffee.
Service - 3.5/5
Staff is friendly and polite, but I thought it to be slightly understaffed
Ambience - 3.5 /5
Clean place in the verandah of the building.
Value for money 4/5
Will I go again - yes definitely
I think it is best place for having south indian food in model colony area .. Ambience is great with quick and polite staff... Prices are also reasonable compare to other hotel who serves great South Indian food dhokla was beyond expectations 😋😋
We ordered Spring Roll Dosa, Thatte Idli and Appe .. All the three dishes were wonderful in taste, Delicious and Tasty 😍😋... Service was up to the mark. Food Quality is too good. Ambience is quite good. Place could be made more clean and tidy. Overall experience was Excellent.
This is a small South Indian food restaurant having it's branches in 3 places in Pune. I visited it on a Sunday late morning. It was crowded but got a table fast. The food was authentic and very tasty.
Recommdations :
1. Tathe idli
2. Podi dosa
3. Appe
4. Filter coffee
5. Masala tea
Amazing and super reasonable place for a good meal. I love their South Indian menu options especially the Mysore Dosa !!!
By far the BEST MYSORE DOSA EVER! Beats Vaishali, Anna Idli, Rupali and even Wadeshwar. I’ve liked this one the MOST ! 😻

We visited yesterday and liked the food it is kind of fusion food of South Indian and Chinese. We tried both chili idly and SM delight dosa both are mixture of South Indian and Chinese.we also liked the special tea. The staff is good and very supportive. Definitely recommend to friends and family.
South and more is place where you can try very delicious South India food with very reasonable price. They serve south India dishes with great varieties. So everyone must visit this place for amazing south Indian food.
Nice taste of masala dosa and pav bhaji also. Jus 1 complaint that I had ordered sweet lime soda which they got in bottle type of thing which is in trend now days but that botl was not at all clean, inside a chopped onion piece was fallen d cap and even d straw in which they gave had dirt in it. I cancelled that thing. But only about taste if I say than it was nice. hope d owner keeps check on cleanliness.
South&More is a great option when it comes to breakfast on budget.Starting with their ambience➡The ambience is colourful, cute and simple. It is spacious and the hospitality is great.Service is very quick.
Dishes we tried:-
⏩Filter coffee:-It is a fuel for almost half of the population. The taste of the coffee and sugar was well balanced and was freshener in the morning.
⏩Appe:-The appe reminded me of my childhood. The appe were soft and a little crunchy to taste. The chutney served went well with the overall dish.(4/5)
⏩Thatte Idli:- The idli was made with masale's and ghee and my goddddddd it tasted heaven. If you are a fan of south Indian breakies you will definitely like this dish.5/5
A great option for early morning breakfast.
Good place for frnds as well as family. But don't expect a good restaurant like ambience. For food I liked the varieties of dosa they have. Sambar and chutney are average but with those dosa varieties u hardly need sambar. We had ordered Mexican, American chopsuey and the paneer capsicum dosa. Mexican was the best. Their cold coffee is also good. For pricing I feel they could reduce 10-20rps but overall good experience. 1 important thing prices are different from those shown at zomato so have uploaded their menu card also. And basically go for their different varieties of dosa because if u go for basic dosas then u won't probably like it because as I said their sambar n chutney are average but their different flavors of dosas are awesome.
The first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the name South & More is that there'll be only idli, dosa and uttappam at this place, but here you get a wide range of dishes to choose from
They recently opened up their outlet at the Food Mall, on the Mumbai Pune Express
Things I tried were :
Mini Podu Idli : These were soft and fluffy idlis and looked really amazing. This is a must try there
Moong Dal Bhajiya : These went really well with the Chutney served with it and were piping hot. It's the perfect snack to have if you're travelling during the rainy season and visit the Food Mall
Thatte Idli : This was a huge single idli which was really delicious and filling. The idli was served with 3 different types of chutneys and the idli went really well with the chutneys
Dhokla : Although not a South Indian dish but South & More did manage to get it right. The Dhokla was really good and I seemed to like it a lot
Noodle Schezwan Cut Dosa : This dish had 4 huge pieces and was really filling. As the name suggests it had noodles and Schezwan sauce as the filling
Kesar Sheera : The sheera wasn't too sweet which is a good thing and had a decent quantity. It tasted really good and is a good option for people who want to have something sweet
Also the staff here is really courteous and helpful. Had a really good time and really liked the food here
South n More Located in the foodway of Khalapur toll is the new place to have south indian dishes during your road trips.
They have varities of dosas here . I tried their Rawa Dosa and S&M Dosa.
Moong Bhajiyas are really good here.
I loved their mini idlis and thatte idli as well. Even the kanjevarm idlis were good.
But the Sheera in the dessert is really good and perfectly made.
A very nice place and I would suggest evryone to try it.
This place has outdoor seatings which are very comfortable.
This place famous for south India dishes.. here you will get nice and tasty South Indian food with lots of variety to try. I had tried their
1)Mini Podu idli:
Nice tasty made with ghee.
2)Kanjeevaram idi:
Tasty soft idli with nice yellow colour.
3)Dhokla:
Soft tasty juicy dhokla with nice chuttny.
4)kesar sheera:
Tasty sheera made with kesar with nice toppings.
The presentation of the dishes are the best here.
Goofing Around
There was this light nip in the air, and I was in a mood for a long drive. I simply revved off in my sporty number and headed towards Khapoli. On the Mumbai Pune Expressway I spot this fun joint named ‘South and More’. I already found myself salivating at the very thought of food, and decided to hop in. Being a die-hard enthusiast for the south Indian cuisine, I left no stones unturned at ordering my share.
Manager Mr. Ashutosh and team ‘South & More’, were quick on a heel and ready to serve.
In no set order, but here are some of the most delicious things I ordered for! (I profusely apologise if I have missed on anything, but I don’t exactly think I have! The preps were amazing, and each dish had a unique and distinct flavour!)
I started with the Molgapudi Idli (Fluffy rice parcels that are steamed to perfection and served piping hot)! The Molgapudi powder was simply outstanding! The Idlis were at its fluffiest best! Perfect for a great start to a fabulous upcoming meal!
Next I tried was the ‘Tatthu idli’. The idli’s here are cooked in small steel ‘Thali’s’. The idlis assume the form of flat plate! I smeared the idli with luscious bouts of coconut chutney and sambhar.
The ‘Bisi Bele Bhat’ was simply outstanding! This is a traditional South Indian spicy Khichdi. The rice is cooked alongwith toor dal, and a specific combination of spices. They certainly offered a delectable variation of the same.
I also downed some simple Dal Khichdi, to abate the welling heat in my tummy. I couldn’t resist trying the Dhokla (A Gujarati variation of Idli).
I added the Kanjeevaram Idli to my list! This variation is richer, and has added dry fruits to it! I derived immense pleasure in savouring the dry fruits with my meal. Since I had a good number of idlis, I didn’t quite hesitate to try the Dosas. These delicious rice flour crepes had a slight international leaning, as it was filled with noodles inside. I couldn’t help trying the curd rice that was tempered with lentils and curry leaves.
I ended the meal on a sweet note (like I always do) with Sheera (A Roasted suji sweetened dish cooked with dry fruits and topped off with strands of saffron)
Looking for some authentic south Indian flavours ? Then you must try the outlet of south and more at Mumbai Pune expressway. The place is located in the foodway court.
Ambience: The place is small and cute. There is a long and simple outdoor comfy seating arrangements. The aura of the place is pleasent and refreshing.
Food (5/5): They use authentic south Indian spices which enhance the flavours of food. We tried a wide variety of dishes. These include:
*Moong dal bhajiya
*Thatte idli
*Podi idli
*Thokla
*Moong chilla
*Rava dosa
*Kanchipuram idli
*Sheera
*I personally recommend to try their moong chilla, Podi idli and Kanchipuram idli.
Quantity(5/5): The volume of the food is enough to fullfill anyone's famished tummy.
Service (5/5) : They have a well managed Staff. Each and every customer was greeted well. They kept a keen watch on our requirements and comfort.
Would I visit again?: Undoubtedly, Yes!
Very nice cut dosa!!😀😁very nice place to relax and spend time with your loved ones!😃😃however the service is a bit slow!Otherwise a very cute place!😄😘
It is one of the best place in the town for South Indian Food.
The service is quick and the folks are friendly.
I had Mini Poda Idlis, Thatti Idli, S&M Dosa, Dhokla, Bisibellebhath and Filter Coffee.
The flavors of everything are Authentic and lovely.
It is pocket for the place.
South indian food as it comes to my mind suits all my mood swings & meal desires!
Have been here quite a few times now tried the S&M delight dosa , Idli manchurian both tasty really yummy & mouth watering i think authentic south indian is served in the best manner here comes along with varition of coconut , onion & tomato chatnis made upto the mark with apt spices also sambhar has a super taste & aroma!
Highly recommended for easy breakfast & quick appetizers , must visit for peeps around deccan
Other than the regular finger food options!
Pretty good restaurant with Spacious seating area, Very reasonable rates, good food with many options to choose from, friendly staff.
Dosa pizza and Thatte idli is a must try!!
I tried here cheese and onion uttapam , it was nice♥️😋
It's near kamla nehru park, small place but always crowded, sambhar can be better but over all taste is good. Like this place 🤩
A great place for quick bites, nice clean and properly served, Also the taste is good for each of their dishes..have tried quite a lot from menu ..specially any dosa items and coffee are good :). Shivam Parashari
I just love south indian food joints. This place has got enough seating space and is an open air restaurant. Every food item price is inclusive of gst and this is a self service facility. Prices are very pocket friendly. We had filter coffee, tea and appe. We liked everything we had.
Good for budgeted hangover. I always say here south and more is in front of more. Paytm and card is accepted here. South Indian breakfast is good. Can go alone also.
If value is what you are looking for, then go for it. But I was disappointed by the quality of food.
We had ordered a Podi Tossed Idli (small idlis tossed in some pathetic spicy masala), a Masala Dosa, Sheera and coffee. We were disappointed by all.
The idlis we couldn't take as it was not soothing at all, was too dry. Similarly, masala dosa was too dry. Sheera had pineapple essence but was stale. Coffee was something that was upto the mark.
The pricing is done keeping the mob of students in the area and that's what is the only attraction.
But I appreciate the interest of the owner who is devoted and stands at the cashier suggesting and talking to customers.
But I'd consider this as my last option.

I always crossed this place in a hope to visit someday, but today in heavy rain this place provided me a shelter.
I thought of trying the taste.
*FOOD* - 3.5/5
We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, idli sambar chutney, sabudana wada and nimboo pani(because they don't serve coldrinks)
Mysore Masala Dosa : it was decent in taste but could have been more masaledaar.
Idli sambar chutney : the idli was too hard and the sambar was bland but the chutney was a saviour.
Sabudana wada : I tried it for the first time and really liked it but the curd served with it was too sour.
Nimboo paani : it was too sweet.
*PRICE* - 4/5
150 for 2, easy on pocket.
*STAFF* - 4/5
The staff was warm and courteous.
New place in model colony......
As their taste is great in sabudana wada.. Chai was also good but I don't like their cheese masala dosa as it was not that much tasty..... Sitting arrangement is outdoor.... I love the sitting arrangement.... The place is affordable to pocket..... I just love it
Amazing food. I tried Dhokla (just awesome), paav bhaji (their unique taste), tomato omelette (great taste) and then filter coffee (just like I thought).
Must try. Clean and neat place, though not that huge.
This place has an outdoor seating and the setting is simple.
I ordered one podi dipped idli and sabudana vada and both tasted very good. The vadas were big, filling and tasty. Podi dipped idli was a nice change from the usual idli/dosa. Service was quick and the whole staff was soft spoken.
Basic place, gentle on the pocket. Ordered a filter coffee and a nimbu pani. Both were good. Couldn't ask for more in 35 bucks. Nice to have a quick catch up.
Overall : 8.5 out of 10
Newly opened outlet..
1st visit.. Had Masālā Dosā..
Tastewise : Sambār was good.. The Masālā (potato bhāji) needs to be more soft, crispy & spicy.. And (today's maybe) was a bit less in salt too.. Chutney too needs a bit more salt & pudinā..
Ambience is good..
2nd visit.. Podi tossed Idlee.. It's yummy.. 😋
While at model colony and you looking for authentic South Indian food... This is the place to be...
The food here is quality and quantity.. The dal khichadi, poddi idlis, Mysore masala dosa, and the filter coffee is just perfect...
I shall surely revisit.. cheers 🍻
Worth visit 😍 everyone should visit this place 😍 pleasant atmosphere and well maintained (hygiene and clean) reasonable price 😍 best service
Its A very Good Place situated In The mid of Model Colony , The Food Is Of very Good Quality and Its Kitchen and Making is too Hygienic! That was the best part of it . The Rates are nominal and Taste is Also Good !
