Good place for casual hangout...I liked the outlet here
As the name suggest its not like a restaurant ....but the food here is delicious ....I tried one chicken meal and Butter Chicken with Kulcha ....in chicken meal i tried Chicken Keema one of my favorites with Dal and Rice ....it was delicious ...I liked the typical keema taste with medium spicy ....it gave me that keema flavour ....dal was ok and rice was good ....I enjoyed the meal ....Butter Chicken was good could have been better ....but i didn't liked the kulcha ...but overall I liked the experience here with the quality of taste at a good affordable rate for your wallet ....definitely will try this the take away shop at sometime.
Refrigerated food - but fresh in a way.!
Ideal for bachelors and those who want something specific and reasonably priced.
I am a regular here and their Chicken Curry & Bhendi fry is something that i always order.
Great food and great concept. Really love the way the people running the show have kept it nice and simple. I always do go in for the roast chicken meal which I really adore, have had too much of it actually. Good luck :)

+3.5
Nicely packed meals with sufficient quantity in the price that they charge. Really loved the combinations on their menu. Would love to see more beverages on the menu.
Good concept of having meals ready and it's quite close to my home but I had never been there.. I tried the butter chicken last night and it was very tasty! Just the way I wanted it to be. Most of the restaurants serve 'sweet' butter chin and I don't know why. But this one was a very good korma with black pepper n just the right amount of spices. I will try the prawns curry next as suggested by the manager.
As I have practically ordered everything mentioned on the menu, it's going to be not- so -quick this time.
Food - 3.5/5 enough for one person
Nothing out of the world, would have recommended caramel custard if it weren't for the weekly variation in the taste.
Service - 4/5 very prompt
Authenticity- 3.5/5 for cooking and delivering food that tastes like home made food at a very affordable price ( brownie points for that)
Staff- 3/5
Would I "order" anything from here again?
Yes, very much, especially when my moms not home during budget cut.
Reasonable price, good service and good food. I like their desserts a lot. I would give 4.5/5 for service , 3.5/5 for the food and 4/5 for value for money
Have got dinner packed from this place a couple of times.
As the name suggests, its a take away place, there is not much place to dine-in. The entire menu is all pre prepared, whatever we order is quickly packed and handed over.
They do a really good job of packing, the containers are perfectly sealed and nothing spills on the way home.
Now the food:
The portion sizes ore enough for one person, so order accordingly.
Have tried roast chicken, fish curry and prawn curry.
Prawn curry was the best, they were large and fresh, the curry was good too. Fish was fresh too, however the curry accompanying the fish was a bit oily.
Roast chicken was a complete meal too, with veggies and sauce. The roast chicken was a bit dry on the inside, possible because it was pre cooked. But overall the taste was good.
I would recommend it for Sunday evenings when you are too lazy to cooked and don't want to go out for an e elaborate dinner.
Good food to have for 1 person as far portion comes in view. Ordered butter chicken and paratha. Also Kulcha wrap-Paneer Tikka and Mung Dal Halwa. Taste was nice. A bit late in delivery but considered as its Sunday.
Will try few more dishes.
Wonderful Place!!!
Great Food!!Specially the dal makkhani is just amazing...
The staff is really good and very hospitable.
Went with really close friends for an "evening-lunch", but the food was just amazing.
This place is different because, although they do-not cook food on your order, but the quality of pre-cooked food is just amazing.
A place really in budget. Recommended for Take-aways (as the name suggests).
This take away shop is a boon.. The owners are very sensitive to your requirement and you can trust their suggestions without a menu. I did just that. Yummy lip smacking food. North Indian food with less oil content. Absolutely loved it. Thanks
If you are searching for home-like food : this food is good, really really good. The shop is hygienic and staff is very friendly. Food is packed in a couple of minutes post order. Awesome packaging :)
Restaurant owner certainly is a foodie, cheers :) Will surely visit again.
Popular concept and put in place in a good manner. Food variety is good. The portion size for the dishes should be increased. The mango kulfi of the season is worth it. The place itself is clean and hygenic. Service is quick and good. Looking forward to trying out more.
To keep it short.
The place is owned by a sardar who clearly loves food.
The food is cooked home style and the taste and the richness of the food shows it. It doesn't feel like the food been prepared in a restaurant. The central kitchen is at hadapser where the food is dispatched once a day to good shop.
All in all cheery staff, nice affordable homely food and an awesome food.
Highly recommend
A small location with a big bang.
Tried it for the first time and did not regret it.
I had the aloo chilly fry, parathas, raita and a kesar pista kulfi which was really good.
My friend had a chicken biryani and she too enjoyed the food.
And it is value for money and filling too!!
Only let down was that the food took almost an hour to arrive by which time food had cooled down and plus the delivery person forgot to deliver the kulfi, so had to call the shop again and that took them another 20 mins to deliver.
Otherwise no complains!!!
4/5 cause the food is good. Its a take away shop so the rating is based purely on the food.
The staff is always cheerful. Clearly high on hygiene with the gloves and the packing.
The biryani's curries subjis phirni .. just perfect. Cant ask for anything better to order. Its not home food and its not restaurant food. It tastes rich. A small chicken biryani will have four tikka pieces.
Its priced really well too.
Literally the best/only take away shop.
I think this place is unjustly panned, keeping in mind the fact that they are trying to serve food like home. I have often orders from them, and here's what u like. The food is more like home than a restaurant, though not that hot or fresh (that's pretty obvious). The stuff is good, affordable and you have several options for vegetarians without using words like patiala, Kolhapur or Hong Kong. Good for the occasional meal. Otherwise just get chapatis from here and the dishes from elsewhere.
Not bad if you are single like me and are left to spend a few days on your own. In four days that my mom was out of station on I tried four combo meals which were great. Love their packing, pocket friendly, the food comes in good quantity and is tasty.. A life saver for guys like me in the area..
They can work on the taste. Baked chicken is great. Butter chicken is okay.. Packaging is great though.. price is also very reasonable..
It was great simple food In fact really tasty n Yes
Loved the malai kulfi yum
Loved it!
Ok...so that's my summary. :) Now on to the details!
I live off NIBM Road, so The Takeaway Shop is often a lifesaver at times when we don't want to cook at home or go to a restaurant or eat Chinese or McD.
Pros -
1. The servers are polite. Usually the owner or his daughter is around and they take the time to ask you what you feel like having, give suggestions etc.
2. Food quality - Veg and non-veg - has consistently been good.
3. The chapati/parathas are very good too.
3. For "to-go" dishes, the vacuum seal packing is very neatly and precisely done.
Cons -
1. The Rabdi is more-or-less tasteless.
2. Non-veg items are a little steep...considering that the quantity doesn't give you value for money.
The Takeaway continues to be one of the best great-food-and-convenient options for me
This is my second review for this place, and this time for the improvements done by the management of The take away shop in terms of taste and quality.
The take away shop has a concept of packing home made kinda food in very reasonable price, so thats the reason their packing style is different or i would say perfect.
Sandwich, pasta, wraps are the options available here, but they have set menu of veg and non veg meal.
Very recently i packed combo meal from this place and what i liked the most was the service, packaging and hygiene.
In thali one veggie by choice, Dal, Rice, papad, pickle, 2 chapati and all this in good quantity and in very resonable price.
Rajma - The veggie by choice was Rajma what i chose, perfectly cooked tomato based gravy was increasing the taste, with balanced spices (sorta home made), was going good with Rice.
Dal Tadka - I always like thick dal and the dal was Thick, rich, perfectly cooked and yummy just the way i like (actual homemade)!!
Rest Like Rice was superb quality, roti is not that good but not bad either, packing was done exellently.
In dessert i had Caramel custard - wowwww !! what an amazing treat after the lovely meal, custard was set perfectly and layer of caramel could be seen and tasted in every bite, i loved it !!
and they say food packed with love this time they proved the actual meaning of it, great improvements .. keep it up !!

Name says it all, The take away shop.. a concept of meal take away from the shop.
Their menu is prepared according to the concept !!
Combo meal to normal quick bites are available here !
In the menu they have kept veg & non veg items, & biryani option is also avaible here.
combo meal is also decent for one person.
Taste wise,to be very honest food is nothing extra ordinary, if the concept is to keep taste like home made food then also few improvements are required in the taste.
Liked the way they pack food, neat & simple, biryani is nice.
Kesar Phirni is rich & creamy ! Can add more desserts in the menu.
If they bring little more variety in the menu & if not possible then a little improvement in the taste of the food, then its simply good & much decent place.
My rating for the concept & phirni... 3 out of 5 !
just a single word for all "SUPERB"..... loved it!!
Clean place, good food. Feels hygienic and quite homely. Have tried quite a few things on the menu and I've been satisfied with them all. The prawn curry is a must try, so is the dal tadka.
Great concept with delicious food offering value for money. Do visit!
