पुणे आणि मिसळ ह्यांचं एक अतूट नातं आहे, पुण्याला “मिसळीचे माहेरघर” म्हटले तरी वावगं ठरणार नाही. आज दुपारच्या जेवणाच्या निमित्ताने मी सदाशिव पेठेतील. “कलंदर मिसळ” या खाद्यगृहास भेट दिली. तुम्हाला इथे नानाविध प्रकारच्या मिसळींचे प्रकार खाण्यास मिळतील पार कोल्हापूर पासून ते थेट विदर्भापर्यंत. तर मी ह्यांच्याकडची “कोल्हापुरी मिसळ“ मागवली होती आणि चक्क ४ पाव मी केव्हा फस्त केले हे मला समजलेच नाही. मिसळ खाल्ल्यानंतर मी माझा मोर्चा “कांदाभजी” कडे वळवला आणि त्यानंतर १ फक्कड “कॉफी” पिऊन माझ्या दुपारच्या जेवणाची सांगता केली. तुम्ही केव्हा पुण्यात आलात तर या खाद्यगृहाला नक्की भेट द्या !!

मिसळ म्हणजे प्रचंड आवडीचं काम आपलं. आज काल यात बरेच प्रकार निघाले नाशिक ची मिसळ,पुणे री मिसळ,कोल्हापूरची असे भरपूर प्रकार
त्याचप्रमाणे कलंदर मिसळ मध्ये ही हिरवा रस्सा ,पंधरा रस्सा, तांबडा रस्सा काळा रस्सा असे भरपूर प्रकार होते.
पण मी मस्त पैकी ताव मारला तो म्हणजे तांबडा रस्सा मिसळ वर छान पैकी ताव मारला न त्यांनी सॅम्पल म्हणून दिलेले बाकीच्या रसाची चव पाहिलं
त्यापैकी हिरवा रस्सा आवडला
त्यानंतर आम्ही मित्रांनी मागवला एक कट वडा तोही परफेक्ट टेस्ट
सोलकढी ही मस्त गार होती
एकंदर बेत परफेक्ट जमला

The owner is very helpful and courteous.. we were explained about all the different types of rassa and the variation of tasted among the varieties of misal..
After ordering the hirvi rassa (green) and tambda rassa ( red).. we had realized that both misals tasted like never before.. such freshly prepared and super tasty stuff is very rare when talking about misal pav..
Though we spent over rs 200 for two people.. this is a complete value for money .. must try :)

When it's Sunday afternoon & you are tired of shopping, hungry as well,but afraid of getting proper Indian lunch at around 4 pm. What comes to rescue is Misal !!! Tried their kolhapuri Misal and gol Kanda bhaji. Both were awesome. I expected Misal to be more spicy but nevertheless what I had was equally tasty. Portion seems less compared to price charged hence a cut in star. Would like to try other varieties of Misal they offer. The bhaji was too good.Hot & Crispy !! 😋
I’m a big potato fan 😬 ordered batata bhaji from kalandar. Loved it, proper crisp and fried well the way I like 😋. Delivery was also on time and they were perfect like proper hot so enjoyed it more .
They serve 4 type of rassa with misal. Red (regular), Green (chilli, coriander), Black and white (coconut, cashew). Tried black and white. Taste unique. Worth trying.
Misal is one of the my favorite dishes. It becomes superior whenever it is made spicy with kolhapuri tadka. Kolhapur is very famous for spicy misal pav. While walking on the streets of Sadashiv Peth I found Kalandar Misal outlet. I visited this place with a hope of kolhapuri tadka and that hope turned into a reality. It is literally awesome misal in the nearby area or may be in Pune. Ambience and service of this place is also so nice. I wanted to give five points for it but i cut half for the space. Here we can have three types of misal with tambada, pandhra and hirva rassa.

First of all I would appreciate idea of serving different rassas or flavors of misal at single food joint. We first tasted all four rassas and then ordered hirwa and tambda rassa misal. Hirwa rassa tasted like medium spicy with perfect blend of coriander. Tambda was as usual spicy with typical 'tarri' taste. Quantity was sufficient for 1 person. Also had buttermilk to finish our lunch.

For the first time, we had ordered in our office, every kind of Misal from this place and it was lipsmackingly awesome. Tambda Rassa Misal was the best of all. It wasn't just about the Misal, but the instructions the person gave before we started, it made the whole difference. He specially instructed us to use less farsan and more tarri which enhanced the taste in an amazing way. I still salivate everytime I remember its taste in my mouth, no matter how full I am. This is by far, the best Misal joint I've ever eaten from in Pune and goes deep into my memory book of Misal's.
Excellent tasty Misal with 4 different Kolhapuri rassa which a new kind variety for Misal lovers... Solkadhi is also awesome.. Service also very good!!!

The place is small 1.5 storeyed shop smack in middle of pune off bajirao road. So when going remember that parking can be a hassle.
They have 4 types of misal tambdi, pandhri, kali and hirvi (red, white, black and green). We ordered red and green.
Taste - very good. Not utterly hot but adequately spicy
Presentation- perfect for a misal joint
Hygiene- very good
People who prefer slice bread over paav will be disappointed.
We also ordered bhajji, but they were below average. They were fried probably over higher heat. That spoiled the taste.
Service times were a slightly slow. There parcel which we ordered took around 15 minutes.

I know writing review on Misal on PEO or any other platform is not easy task...when it comes to misal... everyone takes it so personal and sometimes lots of words been exchanged :-)
Personally speaking, each and every misal has its own taste and aroma.
Today we decided to go to Kalandar misal (situated at Bajirao road near Sangam sadi centre). This was our first real visit...I took parcel 4-5 times before but today after visiting this place, I realised that misal is not for parcel !!! :-)
Had excellent experience at Kalandar misal...
We ordered,
1. Tambda rassa misal - #highlyrecommended
Misal was Kolhapuri style and not at all "tikhat jaal" . perfect flavour of tarri and misal tastes mouthwatering.
2. Hirva rassa misal - Great innovation it is!! Perfect hint of coriander mixed with tarri turned out to be awesome combination !!
Both tambda rassa misal and hirva rassa misal we ordered were medium spicy...
You have choice of arranging your level of spices !!
3. Sabudana khichadi - today is Ganesh jayanti so we ordered khichadi too. #highlyrecommended
Very well cooked sabudana along with perfect quantity of danyacha kut and chopped potatoes with dahi wati !! This made our eating priceless ...
4. Solkadhi and glass of buttermilk - It is must to have on your table when you go for cuisine like misal. #recommended
5.Tea - Your breakfast is incomplete without tea :-)
We got garma garam handmade masala tea with ginger and tea masala flavour !! Burp ...we are done now!!

Fed up of eating the same type of misal & looking for something different, Kalamdar misal is the place. 4 types of rassa or tarris availabke. You can choose between Tambada rassa/Pandhara rassa (cashew)/Hirava rassa (green chilles)/Black rassa (not sure what are the ingredients). You get to taste all 4 tarris before you place your order. Simple yet tasty plate of misal. Little bit costly for a simple plate of misal. But it's worth it. Jain misal is also available. Don't forget to try Solkadhi!!
Owner & staff are very friendly. It's a small place so you may have to wait to get the table in rush hours. Parking is a major problem.

'Kalandar' is Great place for 'kolhapuri style misal', u'll get misal in Typical kolhapuri style- Tambda rass, Pandhra rassa, Kala rassa and Hirva rassa flavour. Every flavour have its own taste, misal is not that much spicy, but good in taste.
Simple dine place. U'll get only missal here, Jain Misal also available!
One of the best misal in town...!
I went to Bajirao Road furniture market and came across this small joint while looking for some snacks. Since it was 8pm they didn't had much options left so we had Misal and Poha.
It turned out to be one of the best misal I had in a long time. The owner has come up with her own kolhapuri preparation of misal and it is lipsmacking. Would definitely recommend to try... even I will try other options in misal once I go that side again.

Roaming on the streets of old pune watching dhol pathak n ganapati we landed up at this place to have a experience of their Misal!!!
They serve Tambda Rassa, Pandhara Rassa, Hirva Rassa and Kala Rassa. We tried Tambda Rassa Misal, it was spiced perfectly( I'm not so fan of zanzanit Misal). Misal has a Kolhapuri touch, lady behind Kalandar is a Kolhapurkar so this has to happen naturally. Mrs Ishwari Kulkarni was courteous to us, she offered us Hirva Rassa as well as Pandhara Rassa to taste.
Would like to try Kala Rassa in my next visit..

They just recently launched Batata wada in there menu so tried..they prepare wada after you place order so it takes 10 mins but worth a wait.. two king size pipping hot wada with lasoon chutanny and mirchi just perfect for this weather awesome taste..
Green misal one of the best consistent taste misal... provided with chopped onion tarri Mast...
Next on the list is Ukadi Che Modak Eagerly waiting to taste it.. available only on chathurthi...
