This place is located on old mumbai-pune highway. If you ever happen to cross, take a stop here. They have outdoor as well as indoors. The staff is nice and gentle. Food is great. Alcohol is served as well. They have got a variety of options. Its a very famous place among the small villages nearby. Do visit if you are on the old mumbai pune highway.

This place was really really good.. Was on a long and tiring ride to Mumbai when I found this place.. And it did refresh me.. The ambience is great.. The place is clean.. And the food.. Amazing.. I ordered for mutton dum Biryani and chicken angara kabab and it was really delicious
The mutton was perfectly cooked, tasty and Biryani was as I wanted it to be.. Not many places serve good mutton.. But this place does..
Will surely visit again and try other dishes in mutton..

I have been here earlier many times. The one best thing about this place is the quality of food. Just next level. Talk about the starters, the main course or any part of the meal. This place has proved itself to be at par with everything.
As always - Butter Garlic Naan. For the 1st time in my life, this people actually could understand that butter garlic naan is something that can be had as a starter also. Otherwise we would always get blank faces when we used to ask it in the beginning. Even restaurants in Mumbai also🤣🤣🤣. Along with that do ask them for Shezuwan Chutney. Which they went ahead and gave us additional mint and curd chutney. The naan was more like a platter cut into small stripes like Garlic Bread sticks. And the presentation just made us to have it more.
Butter chicken- just amazing. No one can eat just one bite of it. Butter Chicken is something that you would keep gulping down. It didn't have pieces rather had shredded chicken which absorbed each and every bit of flavor. Juicy and tender. Ultimate combination which should be had with Plain Roti.
To finish it all, we had Dal Tadka and Jeera Rice.
That was just awesome awesome meal.

The total bill came to RS 1100. The food was good in taste and the positions were quite good. A half plate of desi chicken can easily be shared by 4 people. Similar for paneer.
The only downside was the quantity of rice in half a plate of steam rice. It was equal to the rice portion you get in typical thalis - very less.
The taste was good and the food was fresh. A good stop over place.

Excellent food. Swift service. Nothing can go wrong here. Whatever we ordered, was simply delicious. Desi Chicken was cooked to perfection. Aloo paratha was huge bt tasty. Bhakri, jhunka, thecha, methi was just amazing. Keep surprising us!

There is nothing negative u can rate. The best part is that the food serve was super quick. I ordered allo paratha and never expected to be a typical paratha but it was.

This Restaurant on the old Mumbai-Pune Highway near Khopoli is quite awesome. 3 different sections, Non-AC, AC Permit Room (Drinking) and AC Family Room. Washrooms clean and well-maintained. Food (both North Indian & Chinese) is authentic and very tasty. Price reasonable. Service is good. It has a garden with 7 Ducks :).
This hotel stands in the dada kondke farm, the late superstar of marathi films. It has a seperate seating arrangement for families, the food & service is good. I would recommend the gavthi chicken handi (a special local preparation) & chicken lahori , for veg ppl the veg handi was also good with ( paneer, capsicum,corn & mushrooms). overall a nice joint if ur anywhere nr the old pune highway or khopoli

The food was awesome with good service. Don't miss to try chicken cheese kebab if you are a hardcore non-vegetarian. We also had Surmai Tawa fry along with tandoori chicken. A must visit restaurant for taste @ Old Mumbai-Pune highway.

The taste of food here is just super awesome. Please try the chicken rozali kabab here. It's worth a shot. Prices of liquor is on higher side and it's good actually, as it is on Highway... Don't Drink and Drive. The service too is super awesome. Dada Kondke's Bageshree is always a pleasure to visit. It's legendary.
Best place within at least 20 kms from each side of it... Garden resto. Good food... Peaceful place and attentive staff... I personally love Kabab Platter.
One of the very few descent Restaurants we could find near Mahad (VaradVinayak Temple).
1) Food - Descent enough options for both, Veg and Non-Vegeterians. We tried Bageshree Special Veg Side Dish, it was good. So Food Quality and Quantity are 4 Stars
2) Service - Service was bit slow, in spite of less crowd. Hence Service gets 2 Stars
3) Money - I found Food to be bit expensive. But probably we do not have much options around. For Pricing they get 3 Stars.
4) Ambience & Cleanliness - It is more like Highway Air conditioned Dhaba. Hence cannot expect pretty fascinating ambience. But yes, Cleanliness can be improved. I give 3 Stars here
5) Courtesy - All Waiters and Managers are very courteous. They get 4 Stars for this.

I've been a regular here for over 2 decades now. It used to be our pit-stop on the Bombay-Pune route before the Expressway came up. Even now I take the NH4 towards Khopoli to get to this place for a late lunch.
Bageshree has undergone a lot of changes over the years but the quality of food and service is still faultless. I've tried everything on the menu and would recommend the following items:
Chicken Reshmi Kebab (5/5) - this is quite different from the ones you've had elsewhere.
Chicken Pahadi Kebab (4/5) - if the Reshmi kebabs are too mild for you, I'd suggest you go with this one.
Chicken Maharaja (5/5) - mildly spicy and serves 3-4 people.
Surmai and Pomfret Fry
Tandoor items are quite good too. Chinese is not their strong suit.
Fish items are priced slightly on the higher side depending on seasonal rates. The overall quantity and quality is pretty decent. Orders take about 20 minutes to be served. You can rest assured that everything's freshly prepared. However, the wait gets to you at times.
If you are here for the drinks, I'd recommend going with domestic alcohol only. Booze is quite cheap. Smoking is allowed, but not in the AC section. Best carry your own cigarettes. You won't find a vendor in a 2 km radius.
Bageshree has abundant parking area. There's a HP refueling station right across which makes it a convenient place for a halt. Another attraction here are the geese. They let them loose in the pond (all 9 of them) whenever it's not too sunny.
I have a mixed opinion of this place. I usually am hungry for an Assal Marathi cuisine so I visited this place. The items were mostly northindian and Chinese nothing special in that. Vegetarians have a limited choice in pure Marathi dishes. Ordered Bhakri and lasuni methi with lasuni papad all recommended by the steward. Quantity is good and the service is prompt. Just another highway restaurant with a 4star experience. I'm still in search of a pure maharashtrian place. :-/
Been here a lot of times whenever I've visited Khopoli. I've had non-veg as well as veg at this place and every time this place satisfied my taste buds and filled my tummy. Different dishes every time and I am as good a fan of this place as I'm of Mr. Dada Kondke. Starters take time to cook but are worth the wait. Join me next time I go here coz I'll definitely visit this place some time.
Located on old Pune-Mumbai highway, Bageshree is exactly in the middle of a journey. It is one of the best restaurants I have come across in that patch.Â
Positives: Quality and quantity of food. Chicken reshami kebab is amazing, fish preparations are good too. Main course has nothing specific to praise about, but nothing bad, separate a/c family sectionÂ
Negatives: Prices of sea food seemed bit expensive to me

Been frequent traveller on Mumbai Pune highway (old) I have visited this place few times. Parking space is good. You have an option to sit outdoor. You should visit if you are a non veg lover. Food quality is good & hygienic.
If you are a fan of Dada Kondhke this place is for you. The food is good (especially the tandoori items). The ambience is good for friends and family.
There is also a bar for drinkers, and drinks are decent.
Overall the experience is good and must try place.
The food was really good. Service needs to be improved. We had to walk up to the reception and request for something which was initially denied. They finally served the dish.
Visit either in the evening or during monsoon. They recently renovated and its even more beautiful. It was not very expensive. They are always welcoming. Great for a long weekend drive and then a candle light dinner.
Good restaurant just outside of Khopoli. Ample space is available to accommodate many people. We ordered Lasooni papad which was yum. Fresh lime soda was good. In the main course we had Paneer Handi and Bhakri. Panner Handi was average. The best experience was their service, polite staff and very responsive.

we visited few days back Bahgshree hotel...you can find beautyful pics all over wall of Late Dada kondkes who is all time favourite hero of Marathi and Hindi Cenima that's best ....ambiance is very good.. Food serves is awsome veg/ non veg food especially Lasooni papad... We also ordered chicken lolly pop,Chicken Hand and Bhakari. Chicken gravy was authentic Marathi style and rice Bhawari was freshly made and soft... Over a very good experience to visit hotel of legend.

1) veg crispy which was Okayish (less crisp, but retained the taste).
2) Dal khichdi for 2 year old boy. Asked for less spicy and they did it very well. (4/5)

Excellent food and service. Both veg and nonveg dishes are delicious, Alcohol is also served. They have separate AC family, Non AC rooms and a permit room for all males group. A wonderful place to visit during monsoon long drive. Surrounded by lush greenery and quite place it's a treat for the mind, tummy and soul.
