Orders Surmai Thali from Aswad Gomantak. Thali was awesome!!! It's full meal with option of Chapati, bhakri or chicken vada. Surmai was fresh and piece for big in size. Curry was also good. It takes like eating at home. Vada was very tasty, reminds me mothers cooking taste.

What an amazing food experience! I was craving seafood, that too authentic Konkani preparations and I landed in the perfect place. The thali was absolutely lipsmackingly delicious and I was just transported to Konkan through the amazing and authentic taste. This is a new joint and I can't wait to get everyone I know to taste their food.

I went to this restaurant along with my family. The ambience is ok-ok, however the place is clean. I ordered Surmai rawa fry, Prawns fry and Fish thalis. The food was excellent both in terms of quality (taste) and quantity. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its food. Service is also prompt.

the taste is too good but quantity is less.but as compared to other seafood restaurant it's too much better!

Ordered Kolambi bhaat, Surmai and pomfret thalis. All the fish was fresh and tasty. The Mandeli fry was crisp and fresh too. Highly like it.
This is second time I’ve ordered food from this place,food quality is poor👎fish quality n marinations not at all average,Fish curry is below average as well may be because of festive season they doesn’t have enough staff,but not worth food.tnx
Excellent food quality...... homely taste and fresh preparation. I tried Kombadi Wade, Prawns Sukha, Tisrya Thali etc and each of the dish was very tasty and excellent. Definitely recommended to have all these at restaurants..... :) Nice clean and spacious place, good service and food always served hot.
One of the very decent sea food restaurant providing with the sea food thali, is located in kothrud area .
The taste here is very much satisfying and the place here is very clean. The quantity is a bit less compared to the price, but still it's worth a try.
So I had Surmai Thali and Surmai tawa fry and the taste was very delicious. The quantity of thali, as compared to the rates was a bit less.
But overall, the experience was good, and is worth a try.

You got to visit this place if you are in love of fish. Pomfret tandoor was delicious. Chicken tandoori was also to the same par. Fish thali had this rava pomfret fry, which was really crispy. The gravy was also tasty. Overall they do know their fish 😀

I am not sure if there is any connection between Gomantak hotel near Dadar Plaza theater in Mumbai and this one in Pune. But believe me this restaurant serves food as tasty as that in Mumbai.
This is family friendly restaurant and the ambiance is quite minimal. They need to install some ceiling fans ,it becomes quite hot especially during lunch time.

I went to this restaurant along with my wife and daughter on 8th April ! We tried following items:
1. Malwani chicken thali with vade
2. Prawns thali with amboli
3. Prawns rave fry
4. Kokam sharbat
The vade ( komdi vade) were absolutely tasty and so was the chicken suka and chicken curry. The green chutney , which is one of fav... was equally good too.
The prawns fry, we had asked it to be made less spicy for my daughter... it was well done and my daughter who is only 4 years old relished the entire portion ! i think they served around 8 tiger prawns in the plate
The prawns thali was equally good, the size of the prawns was that of tiger prawns.
I would highly recommend this restaurant for seafood lovers...

We started with Prawns koliwada. It contained 9prawns fried to attain perfect crisp. Then we ordered prawns thali, surmai thali & pomfret thali with amboli and rice bhakari. It contained rawa fried prawns/surmai/pomfret, amboli/rice bhakri, fish curry, sukat chutney, papad, extra curry, rice and solkadi. Food was extremely delicious. All of it.. specifically fish curry! It was finger licking good! Only problem is, only one bread (amboli or bhakri) is included in thali. You need to pay extra to order one more.

AAswad gomantak serves malwani style sea food. Nice food authentic malwani sea food ala carte as well as thali served here. I tried Rawas Thali; fry fish served in thali was bit small in size but tasty. Food tasty but thali require at least one dish with thick.gravy; the fish curry served in thali is very thin also another gravy is also thinner otherwise the food is good and tasty. Prompt service

Great place to have sea food at affordable prices. They have numerous seafood meal options. Try the crab and surmai thali here. But, this is not the original Gomantak of Mumbai. Also, the service time can be a little more fast.
If you like authentic Goan cuisine the Special thali is a must try. Loved the quality of food. Definitely recommend the Thali for fish lovers.

Good food in reasonable price. Place not decorative or posh but very clean and neat. Staff is also very friendly.
We tried surmai thali which was of very good test, very much matching with authentic Konkani test. Portion of fried fish was sizeable but one in curry was small. Quantity is relatively less.
Credit card machine was not working so had to pay with Gpay.

As a lover of seafood myself this place is the best in this locality, we ordered rawas sukkha for starters and then prawns goan handi for main course...first of all the garnishing was mouthwatering itself, the taste was awesome too...and the prices are also so worth the price that you won't regret coming here again.
