My love for Oriental food never ends and it got me to a unique oriental concept and style of food, Hot Pot. The hot pot culture started in Mongolia and has landed in Pune with the help of Mandala Hot Pot culture. We wasted no time in reaching this establishment the moment we heard about it. Mandala hot pot culture is located in the prime spaces of Kalyani Nagar. A small single shop establishment Mandala seats 5-6 tables of 2-4 people. Every table has their induction hot plates on which they serve the broth pot. The experience starts with one selecting variety of foodstuffs from a checklist they provide. You start with 5 types of broth of which one has to select min. 1 max 2 types of broth. 2 broths are served half and half in the same size pot for the single broth. Then comes the types of veggies and meat you wish to try. We opted for French beans, lotus stem, broccoli, baby corn and baby carrot. Well, we asked for baby carrot and we were served normal ones cut in smaller pieces. Moving on to the meat we ordered chicken sausages, chicken breasts and salmon. Next, we opted for flat noodles and 5 types of sauces along with bok choy. I donโt recall all the names of the sauces but some of them were chilli and oil, siracha mayo, barbeque sauce and wasabi cream. Hush! Done with selecting, once the broth arrives we start cooking them one after the other in the broth of our choice. The veggies take longer to cook while the meat takes much lesser time. The attendant will explain the process and the time needed to cook different ingredients before once starts eating. We also ordered silken tofu and glass noodles. Tofu is tender and hardly need any cooking while the glass noodles are a perfect match for the Mongolian style of cooking. The best way to enjoying eating in this setup is with chopsticks but if you have trouble with the sticks you might as well use the fork and spoon. Once done with all your ingredients make sure you finish off the broth. After cooking so many ingredients in that broth the taste of the broth is delicious and full of so many different flavours. I plan to visit this place more than once for sure. As per my knowledge, this is the only place in Pune which serves Hot pot style Mongolian cuisine. Do give it a try.
Everything about this place was awesome. Cosy and personal. We had 2 types of hot pot- Sichuan and shitake mushroom broth. The flavours were mind-blowing and so complex. We also had the mushroom teriyaki bao. The filling was absolutely YUM. The Iced tea too was made perfectly. Not too sweet. Even the dipping sauces were so good. Despite the amount of food we ordered, our bill was very economical. Would highly recommend this place. Can't wait to come back and try more food on the menu
The owner was very sweet and answered all our questions.
Another amazing dining experience !
Hot pot is essentially a cooking method where in the broth is simmering on your table. You can order the base broth here, some veggies, proteins, accompanying sauces, noodles of your choice!
I would give this place 7 stars out of 5.
Ambience: 5 stars
Service: 5 stars.
Food: 7 stars.
The hotpot tastes just like what it should. I have had hotpots at different places like Singapore, KL, Hong Kong (little big sheep in Mong Kok), the broth here taste just like those.
Extra Add for Vegetarian amazing.
The noodles are great.
Out of the sauces: Roasted Chilly is a must have.
Great place to have amazing food and great ambience to catch up with friends.
Another amazing dining experience ! I wonder how I had not known about this place which is here for more than a year and I was more than delighted when I visited it with a friend today who suggested it!
Hot pot is essentially a cooking method where in the broth is simmering on your table. You can order the base broth here, some veggies, proteins, accompanying sauces, noodles of your choice! Serve yourself the noodles and put in the veggies and protien into the hot pot, wait for few minutes and top it on the noodles along with other condiments and TADA! So its literally like cooking your own meal!
We ordered a half and half pot with sichuan pepper and shitake mushroom broth as base! Both insanely delicious on its own! Along with chicken as protein, some glass noodles and an array of veggies! The roasted chilli oil also deserves a mention amongst all the sauces!
The hot pot takes time to arrive at the table so order accordingly. We finished some dimsums by that time! Overall the meal was so satisfying and I can't wait to spend another lazy afternoon there. It's a small cozy place with 4-5 tables and I was actually surprised with the small kitchen they have to manage it!It also was my first experience of a hot pot meal and I'm super happy to know such a place exists in Pune ! The place also serves some sushi, baos, dimsums, soups, curries, desserts and coffee!
This cute little place has a great potential for you to get addicted to them! The concept, ambience, menu and food all go so well together as a theme and itโs cultural aspects make it so special too. The Chef, staff are very welcoming and professional. I will come over and over to this place. So wish that they expand very soon and come to mumbai !
All the best. Thank you for the outstanding experience ๐
Had amazing experience at chef meg restaurant. Had great experience of Japanese, Thai , vietnamese cuisine... Staff serve was good, very professional.
I absolutely love their hotpots. The food never fails to impress me everytime I visit. Really nice cuisine. Thankyou for bringing and introducing such yummy hotpots to Pune :)
Awesome food... Especially sushi....and hot pot..
Was really yearning for some hotpot food. Serendipitously came across this and had to try it for sure. It was only from description of Sichuan peppers I imagined a broth so numbing hot with numbness and heat at the back of the throat lingering for a long time so as to wonder only a gluttonous person with reckless abandon for well being of gut would only go for it and today I am that person. Had seafood cream cheese sushi, non vegetarian Sichuan hotpot with delectable sauces along with peach juice drink. Worth all the ratings and reviews. This place is definitely a place to go to not only for good food but also for the spirit of authenticity that it strives to stay true to. A small joint with simple minimalist ambience and serving some truly sumptuous food. Meghana guided me wholesomely through my first hotpot experience. Would keep going back to this place with all certainty
Loved the place, the whole idea behind introducing the Hot Pot culture is amazing.
I'll be honest - it takes a good amount of patience to try this to end up enjoying it. But it also becomes fun once you start meddling with the stuff on your table.
The place is a tiny and cute, the berry soup was scrumptious, and the owner was invested in every table/customer. Finding the place was a win for me - will definitely be back to try more of the dimsums and baos. The table next to us ordered the hot pot and it seems to be a special and looked great - they said they loved it too.
Great cozy place quite affordable as well. I loved the menu so much that I ended up over ordering but couldnโt resist. The dessert was a miss hit I would say rest all was just perfect โฅ๏ธโค๏ธ๐
Visited this place twice and my opinion hasn't changed. While it's simple food, but it's delicious. The entire concept of Hot Pot is what makes it stand out. The owner, also the chef comes and personally explains how the hotpot is to be ordered with suggestions.
For the quantity, quality and cost this place is definitely definitely worth a visit. Plus point it's all healthy, only boiled food so you don't have to worry if you're on deit or not. ;)
** Rating is highly biased to the Hot Pot.
Loved the hot pot (fresh, light, & super filling!) and Vietnamese cold coffee! A small, homely restaurant, delicious food, large serving sizes and friendly faces- I'd definitely visit this place again to try other dishes โบ๏ธ
Live nearby this place. Have been passing it for the past few months but have now been there twice in 2 weeks !! My wife and I love the concept/food/cuisine/homely atmosphere and simple yet elegant decor.
The cuisine is a mix of oriental/south east asian.
Decent sized portions and reasonably priced.
Good quality food. Very authentic tasting.
The show stopper here is definitely the "HOT POT". Plenty of options for bases/broths/veggies/proteins/carbs.
One must visit and try it if you want a nice leisurely slow paced meal and are somewhat adventurous with food !!
Meghna is the chief chef and owner. Very warm and courteous and always smiling.
The place is on the smaller side size wise. So there is waiting especially on weekends.
Bonus is the loyalty card they offer on hot pot !!
All in all a must goto often. Five *****
All the best Mandala and Meghna
It's a good concept, I visited the place with my friend and we ordered a half and half pot. The food was good and it was fun cooking your own soup. We also ordered a Salmon sushi and it was better than the one I had at Shizusan. The place is slightly pricey, but I guess, it's okay if you take in the experience. I would've given 5 stars if not for the slow service. It's a good place if one has a lot of time to kill, which I sadly did not.
If you donโt know hot pot itโs ok.. must try this place.. great concept and amazingly courteous staff. the owner explains the concept to all guests ๐. Hats off to her spirits ๐๐ป
Tried sushi as well and it was just like home made. Absolutely loved it!!
A tad bit on the expensive side but trust me when I say the food and service is worth every penny of it!!!
Hell ya I am going to make this a regular place to go!!! ๐
This one holds the top spot and a special place in the #JFAExperiences list !
@mandalahotpotculture is a beautifully conceptualised, interactive dining experience which incidentally happens to be #Pune's first & only #hotpot joint !
We tried the following:
- five spice chicken bao.
- tempura asparagus & cream cheese sushi with chili mayo.
-Half & Half Curry Hot Pot with chicken , veggies and sauces.
- combine your own flavours with each serving with the option to personalise your blend of sauces; mix and match between cooking with the curry and broth !
- cinnamon toast with vanilla ice cream and chocolate ganache.
This place is an absolute must visit, with the talented head chef and owner as your host, this quaint and cosy restaurant is a delight to dine at where each dish is marked to perfection.

Been to a few places serving Hot Pots around the globe, and I'd definitely count them in the few good ones that appealed my buds. But food with an experience also creates cherished memories, and that's what the owner of the place does for each customer: she personally guides each customers on how to create that 'memory,' with a smile, and takes the effort of not serving something she doubts upon in terms of momentary quality of a product. Besides, they have a nice spread of dimsums and baos as well. So, like 'my every city's must visits' : Mandala would be an add on for Pune!
Quaint place...yummy Sushi..and hotpot.........
Lot of options to choose from...Both veg and non-veg.
Short handed but good service and the portion size is huge...Kids get to do a Mandala.Desserts are yummy too...The kitchen needs a Chimney though.
The hotpot is something new and worth to try with the broth, the broth itself has a great taste but also you can modify it yourself. The best thing about this is the concept of the hotpot making you to cook the food as your requirements and taking it to a different levels depending on your taste buds.
The dimsums. They are the best I've ever had the outer shell is soft that it melts in the mouth, the inner filling has a unique yet great taste which elevates the dimsums to another level. Worth try if searching for something new
Something new to try and amazing taste... The music goes hand in hand with food.. The chef of the place will give you detailed information and what you should try... Chicken dumplings is a must try..Definitely worth a visit..
Chota packet bada dhamakaa is perfect description for this place. Though the place is a bit small the dishes here are a total dhamaka of flavours. Their sushi and dumplings are really tasty. Their baos are a must try. The highlight dish is their hotpot. I had their spicy broth and coconut curry half and half. Its was served along with exotic vegetables and glass noodles. The best I ever had. Its was really the best experience. Would definitely recommend this place.
Mandala hot pot is a cute set up in Kalyaninagar!
I visited this place for dinner one evening. The ambience is simple yet lovely and the food is very authentic!
I tried the following dishes -
1. Chicken dimsums - They had a delicious filling and the cover was almost transparent. They were delicate yet well cooked!
2. Mushroom and basil Bao - The baos were soft and the filling had a great basil touch. The ginger could have been less since it overpowered the basil taste.
3. Prawns tempura sushi - I went here mainly to try their sushi and it was totally worth it! These were yumm!
The portion of the dimsums can be better but still all in all a great place to eat Asian food!

Try this place out for some drool worthy Asian food!!โค๏ธ
Mandala hot pot culture is a cute little restaurant in Kalyani nagar.
The hot pot is a new concept. It is a part of the Asian food.
The place serves the half and half hot pot along with the veggies, sauces and meat of your choice. We had tried the Thai basil gravy and herbes stock.
The arrangement in a circular form was artistic and mimic a mandala from where the name of the restaurant is inspired.
The owner and chef Meghna is really very courteous and she in detail explained how to go about the hot pot and also gave the precise details about how long the veggies or meat should be placed in the broth to get the apt taste.
Apart from the hot pot the place also serves a variety of momos, sushi and baos.
The also serve a great variety of mocktails.
Instead of normal water they serve detox water as well.

Mandala is a Sanskrit word which means circle, it's a complex abstract design.
This hot pot contains broth in one half and another half contains coconut based flavourful curry.
You can select the veggies and the meat of your choice which you can add one by one along with the sauces and the accompaniments kept next to the hot pot. You can also select whether you want rice or noodles. They have many options in that too.
It's an experience more than just a dinner or lunch. It's an interactive session to have it with your loved ones. You can mix and match the combination of the ingredients going inside the hot pot.
Check my story to see how it gets boiled.

Mandala Hot Pot Culture is a place in Koregaon Park that you must visit. The food and the concept is very unique but delectable. They have wonderful passion fruit mojito.
When you visit this place make sure you go with open mind to try something new which is very flavourful and very healthy.
We four friends visited this place to try something new and now we are pretty sure we are visiting this place often.
Tried various things like dimsums ,bao ,sushi and the Table Starrer- Hot Pot .
Everything was unique and awesome but you must miss the the Chicken and Tofu bao and the Hot Pot .
The Hot pot was a combination of a broth and a gravy .
We tried the Herbed stock and Thai basil gravy. That was simply awesome. We tried sweet chilli ,thai, siracha and chilly oil in sauces. We even had chilly soy as one of our friend is a spice lover .
Overall the service ,food quality and quantity is totally value for money.
Chef Meghna is always there to help you select you food as per your taste needs.
the mandala concept and taste was very good.
The lady who owns this place debriefed us on how to go about the meal. However, the staff was utterly clueless and zoned out.
This place is a different experience with fantastic options in small plates and main course.
Its a hot pot place which is traditionally supposed to be shared but they have a no sharing policy which is a little disappointing....
I was too busy eating so didnt click too many pictures... the sauces they provide on request with the starters is very good especially the spring onion chilli sauce and the honey sesame sauce.
Also for vegetarians ....please confirm the options that are there as they run out of stock very fast.....
Will be going back to try the hot pot as i didnt get the chance this time
The chocolate cake is also home made
This is first place in Pune that serve Hot Pot and is one of its kind. Its part of Asian cuisine and one literally cooks their food on their own. I tried the Spicy Sichuan Pepper Chicken Broth along with a variety of vegetables and meat. The broth was flavoursome and had its own unique taste. The owner Meghna was really courteous and explained how to go about eating the food. Looking forward to visit the place again during the monsoon as it would be the perfect time for such a filling meal.
It was the best Asian food with the best service I have had in pune it's a cute restaurant at kalyani nagar with the most flavorful food I have had it literally took me back to my days I was travelling around Asia.
The owner is the best person to suggest what you should be eating because she understands your taste palate
It's a must try 10/10
It was worth every penny !!!!

A cozy little place with a fun new Asian dining experience! One should definitely try the hotpot! Apart from this the menu offers a variety of options such as sushi, baos and more. Do visit!
Tl;Dr - - fantastic experience. More on the expensive side.
One of the finest and most unconventional dining experiences ever! That sums up our visit to this place. This place serves primarily Asian cuisine and its small interior space and music aligns with the theme. We tried the dimsums and the sushi and we loved them. No doubts about that.
But let's come to the hotpot. That's what you're here for. That's what the experience is all about. I won't explain anything about the hotpot because I don't want to ruin it for you and let the very hospitable owner/chef do it for you. She explains everything in a detailed manner and just because we were naive she was kind to explain it again. Definite recommendation - herbal vegetable soup for the hotpot.
It's also imperative to mention that it's an expensive restaurant. So be prepared to shell out cash. Also, they have an offer where if you visit the place 4 times and have the hotpot 4 times, the 5th hotpot is on the house. Yayy!
My family and friends have been fans of Mandala and Chef Meghna from the day she opened up diagonally opposite my house. In fact, I'd been putting pressure on her to open up asap, even before she formally opened. I was intrigued at the prospect of vegetarian Asian food, and despite my misgivings (as I'm carnivorous), Mandala always delivered yummy, flavourful food.ย
Till recently, our favourites were the Dimsums, Bao, Hot Pot and Tempura Bok Choy and Lotus Root, plus all the fabulous desserts.ย
This last week, Mandala opened up with non-veg on the menu and, boy, were we pleased! Had lunch there this afternoon and totally freaked out. From the veg and non-veg dimsums, to veg and non-veg Bao, we moved on to a super flavourful stir-fry Lotus root. Then onwards to some fabulous Sushi. Now I don't need to travel far for Sushi, just a 100 metres! Finally, dessert was a great Mango Creamcake , followed by an absolutely outstanding Caramel Cinnamon Toast with Icecream! My father, wife and I waddled out happily! We love Meghna and Mandala! May her tribe prosper.
Cute little place with tasty food. We tried mushroom bao, it was awesome. Vietnamese rice sheet wraps with fresh vegetables were also great. Peach ice tea was pleasant.
This is truly an awesome place if your looking for some lipsmacking Asian food with a twist. It has a live kitchen and its quite cosy with a perfect setup where you can actually enjoy scrumptious meal with great conversations. Their varied flavors will surely take your tastebuds on a gastronomic journey. Dimsums here are to die for and like the name goes hot pot is a must try. The desserts are innovative for an Asian cuisine and just out of the world so don't give it a miss. And above all the service is impeccable given the fact that it's a full house most of the times. The owner Meghna who is living her dream by taking full charge of her restuarant by being the head Chef. You will see her love and passion put behind every meal that comes put of the kitchen. I have never gotten enough of this place and I keep going back again and again.
Where do I even start ! This place is perfect, right from the ambience to the hospitality to the mouth watering food !
For starters - We ordered the spicy chicken dimsums , they are served with a peanut chutney , chilly oil and soy sauce , lovely presentation , the best dimsums I have had till date !
For the mains- we ordered curry rice , an excellent blend of coconut with the spices , again a 5/5
And spicy peanut noodles - the texture was a bit dry , however that did not spoil the taste
Quantity- 10/10
Ambiance - 10/10
Hygiene -10/10
Service -8/10
Tip : order a Vietnamese cold coffee if you love coffee
Definitely going to visit again ๐คฉ
Mandala has brought the concept of hot pot to pune. It's the only place of its kind so far. They serve Asian food and the flavours and dishes are really authentic. The food served is absolutely delicious. The dimsums are my personal favourite. I totally recommend this place.
Love the place! The food great. The dimsums are to die for. The hot pot concept is new and really interactive, the flavours are really good. We tried the coriander spice and Thai curry hot pot and they were both delicious. The litchi cheesecake is a must try!
Mandala Hot Pot Culture is my current favourite Asian restaurant in Pune. The food is authentic, fresh and absolutely delicious. They serve Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese food.
Dimsums : They are perfectly handcrafted served with a variety of sauces like chilli oil, wasabi mayo, soy chilli and Thai peanut. We finished all the sauces too they were so good.
Baos : they are perfectly steamed and again served with great sauces. I always order the mushroom teriyaki bao. Must try.
Thai curry: cooked well, flavours on point. Doesnโt need anymore description.
Last but not the lease
HOT POTS: I have tried all the broths and my favourite are the shiitake mushroom and Sichuan pepper broths. They are pots kept on an induction on eat table. You are give a platter of vegetables and greens which you can cook yourself.
The food is healthy, clean and tasty.
Dessert recommendation: mango cheesecake.
Itโs an interactive dining experience which is a lot of fun given the new concept. Service is great and the staff is friendly.
This place is Near to my office in KN. Itโs has a Fabulously vegetarian and Asian food, Mandala Hot Pot Culture offers yummy dimsums, bao, noodles and hot pot besides fabulous desserts and superb new concept in a city. If you are Asian food lover then Visit, You will be delighted.
Went yesterday with my friends to Mandala. Situated in one of the prominent lanes of Kalyani Nagar which hosts several other restaurants as well.
It's a small joint run by Chef Meghna who herself takes orders from customers and helps them by explaining the available options. Menu is short but tasteful. Mandala has decent ambience and staff is friendly. Due to Labour Day, they were under staffed which led our orders to be served very late but the superb taste of the food took care of the time it took.
Ordered Mushroom Teriyaki Bao, Basil Chili Tofu in rice sheets, Thai Basil Curry with noodles and rice. The usage of caramelized onions and mint was up to the mark. They also serve detox water in place of regular one. Everything was really very good and would recommend others to go as well but they should have the patience to wait as well considering it's a small joint so they can't cater to lot's of people at one go.

It was a weekend and we decided to try something unconventional, we landed up at mandala, where they serve authentic hotpots designed according to your needs. It was quite a unique concept for us and we were in two minds but we ended up having a tremendous time, we really loved the food. Let me give you an experience of the place in my words:
Ambience:- The ambience of the place was pretty great, very properly designed, you could really notice the minute touches of authenticity.
Food:- This was our first time trying something like this and you know what we were really impressed with the taste and flavours, we had a lot of things there like hotpot, Bao and some dim sums as well and all the things were top notch.
Quality:- The owner of the place was really particular about the quality of the food as the food was oozing with flavour and the dishes right from the appetisers to the dessert, everything was absolutely exquisite.
Service:- Even though the food was so good as I mentioned above, my most favourite thing here was there service the servings staff was very well trained and their service was marvellous, we donโt see something like that in this day and age.
Hygiene:- The place was pretty hygienic, had a fresh feel to it and was well arranged for my liking.ย
ย
Do visit this place if youโre looking for something unorthodox.
For all those who like to try something new and like to have great food again and again ..this place is apt. The place is cozy and always gives you postive vibe.. the chef ( sonia) always serves you with a smile ...Food served is very healthy and is guilt free.. Food is just delicious if you are fond of Hotpans , curries, dimsums, Baos.... highly recommended.. i am sure this place will not disappoint you.. go and give it a try..
Mandala Hotpot Culture a small and cozy yet very hygienic restaurant opened few months back in the streets of Kalyani Nagar. They have come up with something new concept in Pune bringing the hotpot culture of Asian country. Hotpot is a chinese cooking method which means raw foods like veggies or meat ready to be cooked, with hot broth(soup) at the center of the table.A fun way to cook and eat at same time with your friends and family.
Coming to food we had:
1. Crystal dimsums: Stuffing was very apt and delicious. The skin of the dimsums were perfect. And it was steamed well.
2. Tofu Bao:It was open bao filled with various fillings like veggies and tofu. The bao was soft and fillings were perfectly cooked.
3. Broth: We had two types of broth one was spicy and other was less spicy. Both of them were okay in taste and m not that satisfied though. It was served with black rice, noodle and various veggies like capsicum, carrots, lotus stem, cabbage, spinach etc. Also they have in-house sauces like peanut sauce, chilly sauce, spring onion sauce etc. All we have to do is mixup whatever we love into broth which was cooking in the centre of table and have it after it's done.
4. Passion mojito and strawberry mojito: Loved the strawberry one.
5. Last but not the least the star of that day which Mango Cream Cake. Well baked fresh and soft layers of cakes filled with whipped cream and topped with fresh mango pieces. It was the best one amongst all that i had no doubt.
Overall love the new concept. Staff were very well behaved and mannerly. Service was a bit slow though. But i had a great time here.
Visited this cosy quaint place last month. Contrary to contemporary tradition of hotpot associated with meat and sea food, this place is pure vegetarian which actually makes it exciting and opens up a world of choice in veg food, especially for meat eaters. I personally love the hotpot concept with all fresh ingredients being cooked on your table. The choice of ingredients is vaste and the food tastes yummy. Kudos to chef meghna for bringing this culture to Pune. I hope in near future there might be meat n sea food as well. Definitely a must visit :)
Had a wonderful first experience of Hot Pot...taste of stews, stir fries and Sushi are mouth watering, good portions offered...fresh and crunchy greens and veggies...the owner takes active interest in explaining the details and ways to eat the food, which adds up to the overall impression about the place...will highly recommend for someone who wants to go for a nice date as this is a cosy place ๐ will definitely visit it soon to taste the remaining exotic preparations...
Food is freshly prepared when you place your order so don't go if you're in a hurry. We tried the hot pot, sushi, and bao. All were great but the bao was awesome.
The hot pot is charged on per person basis but we found it ridiculous that our 3 year old was also charged full price for it even though he literally had just less than half a cup of it. There should at least be a lesser charge for kids.
Mandala Hot Pot Culture
--------------------------------
This place is located in posh area of pune known as kalyani nagar. Mandala is a sanskrit word and its meaning is universe. Hot Pot is a chinese cooking method, prepared with a simmering pot of soup stock at the dining table, containing a variety of East Asian foodstuffs and ingredients.
๐ Ambience :- This is a very small outlet though they have managed nice seating and the best part is that kitchen is open. I like the fan and buddha statue.
๐ Staff :- We were warmly greeted by owner. She is a food consultant and chef too. Staff was very professional and having good knowledge of cusinie.
๐ Service :- if you order Hot pot you need to wait little bit as it takes time to ready. Overall service was quite satisfactory.
๐ Food :-
๐น Dim Sum :- Dim sum means touch your heart. It is chinese small bite dish that was served us to bamboo steamer baskets. It was nicely steamed and taste was amazing.
๐นHot Pot :- I have tasted this dish (non veg) so many times in dehradun when I was in college. I had tried first time the veg hot pot in pune and it was mind blowing. The soup was so tasty. Vegetables served was fresh, Brown rice was cooked properly, cellophane noodles was not sticky and sauces were mind blowing. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table, in a manner similar to fondue. I can say that it is less than a dish it is an experience. Everyone should must try it once in a lifetime. Highly Recommended.
๐นBao :- it is also known as Baozi. It is basically a type of filled bun. We had been served with paneer variations and it was okay.
๐นBanana Walnut Cake :- After having hot pot my tummy was almost full but heart has a little bit space for desserts. I love the presentation it look so tempting. I am still craving for it. It was very light and moist with sweetness of bananas. Must try.
๐นTriple Chocolate Mousse Cake :- it was rich, chocolaty and decadent, hard not to fall in love with it from the first bite. It was scrumptious and presentation was so nice. Highly Recommended.
Overall experience was amazing. If you want to try asian cuisine this place will never disappoint you. I was invited for food tasting and above are my honest reviews regarding dishes served to us.
Highly recommended for hot pot and desserts. They served only veg. I am eagerly waiting for their non veg branch.
Mandala hot pot is a hidden gem for Asian food lovers. It's always a big task to find a restaurant for vegetarians specially for people who loves Asian food.
It was my first time experience with the hot pot. Hot pot basically comes is a Chinese cooking method, prepared with a simmering pot of soup stock at the dining table, containing a variety of East Asian foodstuffs and ingredients. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table, in a manner similar to fondue. Every table has a space for the pot. You can also adjust the temperature of the pot. The temperature was adjusted by the remote.
I also had sushi. And it was my first time experience with sushi too. It was amazing. As the sushi was garnished by the edible flowers. It looked and tasted Amazing.
Next we had panner bao and two different type of dimsum. One was the paneer dimsum and another was of mushroom.
Ended our meal with chocolate truffle cream cake. It was freshly baked.
Mandala hot pot totally changed my view on vegan food. I loved it.
Love chocolate? Then this tender, luxurious layer pastry is for you. With a ganache glaze and a fabulous bittersweet filling, the indulgence is so worth it. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐

We had this drool worthy Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake @mandalahotpotculture!
Right from the presentation, taste, ambiance and a variety of your not so regular menu, they have got everything!
Also, they are the pioneers in introducing Hotpot Culture to the city. The concept of it is simple โ simmering variety of vegetables, rice and noodles in spicy (or plain) broth fondue in the centre of the table.ย

โชBringing you back the old Beijing style hotpot, Meghna chef of her own restaurant has brought up a very innovative concept.๐ฑ
โชInitially I wasnโt sure about the Asian food & its tasteโฆ but this place has literally changed my concept.
โชMost interesting thing here is on every table you have a hotpot & a veggie platter. You have to cook your own broth, also you can adjust the temperature with a remote.๐ฅ๐ฅ
โชThis place is so full of Asian flavours.๐ฃ
โชThe desserts here are very tempting.
โชYou should definitely try something out of the box.๐ฅ
โชBanana walnut cake & triple chocolate mousse cake were satisfying.๐ง
This is a sweet home for vegetarians to go back to. Here you can enjoy the hot pot culture that is you cook your food at the table while chit chatting with your family or friends. This concept is the need for today as you can spend your previous time with your loved ones on weekends! I had a fun time when I visited this place. You can smell on the flavours while your hot pot is simmering away๐
I became a fan of the presentation of every single dish I ate! The use of edible flowers on the dishes made the dishes more attractive๐
I liked the four seasons dumplings, the litche cream cake and of course the hot pot!

Great place if you want to try some authentic Asian cuisine. We tried their hotpot and dim sums. Both were great. They also have some great desserts. We tried banana cake and chocolate mousse cake. It was fresh and delicious.
I had never tried Asian Food before except for the Indian one๐
. But this place is the best spot to take your taste buds to an thrilling adventure.
Well let's see what I experienced as a blogger;
Location:- Perfectly targeting the best market. Located in a posh locality where people know what to eat and love to try different things. Easy accessible and not hard to find. So a 5* on location.
Ambience:- It's a very small place to be honest can allow not more than 15-20 pax inside. I got an image in my off a bigger outlet somehow. By seeing other people photos of ambience n all. So ambience inside was very lit to be honest even if the outlet is small but the decรณr is up to the mark. Its worth clicking pictures inside. So 4.5* for the ambience.
Service:- They have a nice service and obviously being a hotpot place, it will take 10-20 mins to setup the table and everything but it's a very concept of selecting all your veggies n stuff and cook for yourself by enjoying it. The staff is very efficient and dedicated to their work. I would give a hats off to owner who has a very good knowledge about the all the stuff she being a chef in her own restaurant. I always appreciate people who live their dreams and she is living hers by cooking in her own restaurant. So 5* for her and her service.
Food:- The only thing that keeps me going, and if I am being honest I was not so sure of this kind of cuisine or the all the items I looked at but when I ate it, it was all the burst of flavors in my mouth. So many ingredients to chose from, so many sauces to eat with. Ranging from veggies like broccoli, mushroom, baby carrots, baby corn, lotus stem to vermicelli noodles to brown rice. Every item was worth eating and that soup/broth was just a hit of flavors. We even got bread to eat with soup and sauces. The hotpot was a success for me. The desserts were out of this world. I wasn't expecting such desserts from an Asian cuisine focused place. The desserts got the rating up by 1* . The only off thing were the dumplings cause I found them chewy maybe overcooked but ignorable cause they tasted nice.
So to end this review, I will overall rate this place 4.6* .
Totally recommended for Asian food admirers and foodies. Must try desserts here and the hotpot is always there for you.
Thank you for inviting me. Enjoyed my time here and recommend you to take your loved ones here to enjoy your time as well.๐

Mandala hot pot culture is an asian restaurant located in the lane of kalyani nagar.
The ambience is hygienic and they have open kitchen.I am happy that they have kept every detail in mind when it comes to Asian food.
Starting with the menu:-
The Crystal dimsums(4/5)
Though not a dimsum fan, this place serves good dimsum along with variety of sauces which a so damn good.
Hot pot(5/5)
So the concept is new in pune, that is you have to make your own pot by controlling the boiling point of the soup and adding the veggies, dry greens, peanuts, bread, sauces, black rice, noodles etc
The whole experience had me in awe since I was so happy just looking at the spread. The taste was amazing and the sauces were so goooddddddd.
Bao stuffed with paneer(4/5)
The outer layer was soft and the stuffings were good but could have been more spicy.
Desserts:-
Their desserts are something you should definitely try.A good experience.
It's always a big task to select a place for ASIAN food for vegetarian. And surprisingly there's this place newly opened perfectly fitting into the needs.
This was my first time with hot pot and I was really excited to try it. I absolutely loved it!!
Hot pot is prepared with a simmering pot of soup stock at the dining table, containing a variety of exotic vegetables. The temperature of the soup can be adjusted by the remote. While the hot pot is boiling, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table, similar to fondue. Every table has a space for the pot. I'm not really into vegetarian food but this totally change my view on vegan food.
I also had paneer bao. The bread just melted in my mouth, it was so soft and tasted so fresh.
For Desserts I had chocolate truffle and lichi strawberry cream cake which was freshly baked. It was an whole new amazing experience for me.
Also, they give detox water which was different and new to me.

Meghna is so hard working and passionate. She was super friendly. It all reflected on the food and the restaurant. And as I mentioned above it was my first time with hot pot. She explained it so nicely. The whole experience was worth it. Definitely visiting here again.
I was passing through the inner lanes of Kalyani Nagar (The lane which has Irani Cafe and CCD, to be precise and saw this quaint little place right opposite CCD. The moment I saw it I was sure I had to try it,because the name says it all. And believe you me, it's an experience you don't want to miss out on. Meghna was extremely warm and welcoming and explained each and every detail related to the Hot Pot to us. The Dimsums were heavenly, the Hot Pot is such a fresh concept and it's amazing to experiment with it and try so many sauces to change the taste into what you want it to be. The Wasabi Mayo was to die for! We were too full by the end of our meal and couldn't try the Sushi but we are definitely planning to come back for the same.
This place is great for all Foodies. A must try!
Mandala Hot Pot Culture is a beautiful, hospitable, cozy pan-asian restaurant located in one of the top rated locations in the city. The ambiance is very artistically done and well detailed with good planning and super hygiene level maintained. The owner is a Chef herself who is well traveled and expresses herself through her beautiful food, very much like herself. I wish other restaurants in the country learn from her hospitality, and the passion she serves in her food. The management is top notch equal to the 5-star standards, not leaving a single aspect to be complained about. They are known for their authentic Asian HOT POT, DIMSUMS, BAO, SUSHI and the STIR FRY. A good variety to choose from, I have a reason to visit them thrice a week to try all their dishes which are impeccable in taste, presentation, 5 star standards and not to forget their customized crockery cutlery in which they serve.ย
I started with the passion fruit mojito, so refreshing and unique. Moved onto the HOT POT flavoured with the shiitake mushrooms around the exotic mushrooms like Enoki, Crimini, Portobello, Beach mushrooms and a vegetable tray consisting Snow Peas, Lotus Stem, Baby carrot, Broccoli, Bean Sprouts, Baby Corn etc. served raw to be cooking in the lovely flavorful broth for the most healthy appetizing I have ever come across. The Deconstructed asparagus sushi with perfect plating, and the best tasted so far by me has left me with so much more planning to come back and try other flavors in near future! The happy ending was glorifying with the chocolate buns and "Cafe Sua" (Vietnamese cold coffee). While other healthy restaurants serve absolute fake ingredients and call it "healthy", Mandala offers an absolute gourmet fill-to-the-stomach with real health and joy! Extremely sorry for not having pictures of the food this time *sad face*.
I highly recommend this restaurant to all near and far, you will always go with a smile and a plan ready to come back with your family and friends. The Chef is also has a hand into other cuisines which she plans to scale up into other brands soon. Thank you Chef for the most wonderful dining experience i have ever had!
I have never experienced anything like this before !
Concept : Mandala Hot Pot Culture celebrates the joy of having food with your family and the food here is more of an experience than just having a meal.Every table has a space for your pot of soup whose temperature you can adjust by remote. A platter of vegetables is served which needs to be cooked in this pot and the whole experience is just amazing !
Ambience : Nested in the beautiful lanes of Kalyani Nagar Mandala Hot Pot Culture showcases how simple interiors can stand out.The vibe of this place is so Serene and you instantly feel the warmth of love of the the people working here.
Food :
You have the choice to cook various vegetables in the pot such as baby corn, lotus stem, sprouts and many more.Exotic sprouts, leafy greens and fully cooked rice & noodles are also provided. Along with these you are also given four different sauces such which can be used to adjust the flavours of your soup.
When your vegetables are done you just have to take it in your bowl and enjoy ! The dimsums here are so satisfying and they taste the best along with the soup! The milkbreads which are made inhouse go extremely well with the soup โค๏ธ
Lychee Strawberry cheesecake was something I would recommend everyone to try here ! The overall subtle sweet taste worked best for my palette ๐ I also couldn't stop indulging on the strawberry cake with had freshest of strawberry and cream with the sunflower seeds adding the much needed extra crunch ๐
I ended the meal with Vietnamese hot coffee whose process is as fascinating as the coffee ๐ Vaporized milk with strong filtered coffee is my new muse !
Overall experience :
Meghna is the sweetest host you can ever get ! The way with which she explains the whole process reflects her passion โค๏ธ I would recommend everyone to go here with their family and friends to savour not only the food but also the unique & first in Pune experience ! Definitely coming back for more ๐
amazing place to try hot pot , vegetarians will love it , owner she is really good , place is small with amazing ambience , all is fresh and lively place with good crowd , a must place to try if you are a foodie
Super cute, quaint eatery in Kalyani Nagar serving healthy, freshly made asian delicacies! The preparation time may be an issue to some customers so it's best advised to visit this place when you have time on your hands. Vegetarian foodies are going to be extremely delighted!
A cozy place in kalyaninagar serving some really lip smacking authentic asian food.
A new concept introduced to our Pune peeps called the HOT POT in which you are served a platter of exotic veggies with your choice of broth (we opted for spicy) where chef Meghna personally takes us through the whole process and helps us cook our own food at our own pace. The best thing I liked about the pot is that you can change the flavour in every bite. She serves about 2-3 sauces that go very well with it. My personal recommendation is the thai peanut sauce.
Also the mushroom dimsum is my all time favourite (visited this place 4 times).
The mushroom bao is another dish which i tried on my second visit, again a must try. The filling just melts in your mouth.
If you are around in the evening then a coffee and their banana walnut cake is a must try.
Definitely recommend if you are craving a hearty asian meal, reasonably priced.
Visited Hot pot culture with few office collegues.pleasant place. Loved the ambience small but had a good vibe to the place. The owner n the chef were warm with their presence. Loved the broth, the presentation was excellent. The icing on the cake was the choco chip chocolate pastry which was just yum....i loved it totally... Planning my next visit soon with my wife n friends... All the best...
It's an exquisite experience to dine at mandala. It's a quaint restaurant setup in remote corner of kalyani nagar. But it's famed HotPot is really the highlight of it's cuisine. HotPot offered at mandala offers a smorgasbord of different flavors owing to large variety of dips that can be mixed in. It's chef, Meghna, takes all orders by herself and makes sure that customers understand what are they ordering and tailors each dish to their preferences. Also hotpot is offered with lot of different combinations of rice, noodles and vegetables. HotPot is always kept on simmer with very clever use of induction below the dining tables. Post hotpot, Dimsums and bao sandwich are must have. Would have loved if menu was more detailed and ordained. Also, sometimes have observed that some options run out of stock, as place is still scaling up and there is uneven turnaround of customers. Make sure that you call in advance to book a table, and let know of your preferences to Meghna, as she takes extra care to create a delightful dining experience.
Not just a meal, an experience!
Mandala is a quaint little cafe tucked away in the neighborhood of kalyani nagar. Their show stopper is their famed Hot Pot. We were a group of 4. We opted for an assortment of crystal dumplings and a hot pot. The dumplings were by far some of the best that we have had. Thin skins yet perfectly steamed. Their peanut dip is lip smacking. The hot pot comes with a massive assortment of fresh veggies, dips and bread. It was an interactive session of live cooking with chef Meghna guiding us through the entire process. We rounded up our meal with some amazing coffee and the house fave banana n walnut cake with caramel sauce.
In sum, great food n vibes, light on the tummy n pocket. I'll surely return!
It's a pure veg place.
I did not expect it to be great but I was wrong.
We choose the Hot Pot and dimsum combomeal for 2. Spicy broth was our choice it was outstanding.
The dimsums were amazing, I will say better than Malaka for me. Really thin coating and yummy stuffing.
My favorites in dimsums
Waterchestnut
Edamame
Broccoli
The dips you have to try.
Wasabi mayo
The peanut sause
The roasted chilly --- my favorite.
In all do give it a try I will definitely go for more.
We were too busy eating to even consider food pictures.
Cozy little veg Asian place in Kalyani nagar. The crystal dumplings are very nice and a must try! They have an interesting menu put up by their very friendly chef. High standards of hygiene maintained.
Wow !
Just stepped out feeling happy and impressed.
A cozy place with a uniquely personal experience. The interiors are subtle which allow you to focus on the food, which deserves all the attention. We tried the Hot Pot for 2. Flavourful broth, with lots of fresh veggies, and 7 dim sums with dips. The peanut dip and wasabi dip was out of the world! For someone who is not used to wasabi, this dip is a great way to introduce yourself to the strong and addictive nature of wasabi.
The vegan cappuccino was so frothy and light that it can give Starbucks vegan coffees a run for their money.
The mushroom dim sum and edamame dim sums were my favourite. Home made bread to dip into the pineapple sauce/dip will keep me coming back again and again !
The cheff / owner takes a personal interest in your taste and preference. Must visit for a memorable experience.
New Place Alert:
Mandala, The Hot Pot Culture. Vegetarian.
A tiny Gem of a place in Kalyani Nagar.
Beautiful and clean ambience.
Owned and run by Meghna who is a trained chef in various cuisines.
Their concept is mainly a Vietnamese giant hot pot made of vegetable broth which simmers away on your table with the help of an induction cooker.
They serve you pre prepped veggies on the side which you blanch in the broth and then transfer to your bowl.
It's served with rice, noodles and in house bread.
They also have various soups and starters and deserts.
Coming to the taste:
Broth is to die for. A variety of dipping sauces which are super fresh and delicious.
Unique dimsums like water chestnut, edamame, spinach, paneer were heavenly.
Desserts were a bliss.
Vietnamese coffee was so vibrant.
Best part is everything tastes so fresh and natural, because it's all made in house.
Great new place.
Genuine Asian cuisine, natural flavoured broth optimum quantity, wonderfully served fantastic dim sum n Brown rice/ noodles serving
Nicely done ambience had a lovely winter dinner experience
First of all, the hotpot is all you can eat (AYCE). I got the shiitake broth and the tom yum broth.
Veggies were fresh, clean, and crisp.
The only negatives are that they donโt have a bathroom, and I thought the broth had too much MSG. The shiitake broth was too salty.
Food came within 20 min and I was happy and stuffed when I left.
This is a small and cute restaurant in Kalyani nagar.
This was my first visit and we went for the lunch. It was an amazing experience, we tried sushi and Vietnamese rolls "Summer Roll".
Sushi had nice and different taste and Vietnamese roll was delicious too.
Over all I felt it's a worth trying restaurant which serves delicious and healthy food.
It was a cute little place in Kalyani Nagar. It gave an authentic asian cuisine vibe.
We ordered-
Chicken laksa curry with noodles(3.5/5)- This Malaysian dish was served with authentic laksa curry and noodles. I feel the curry quantity wise was a tad bit less but overall it's a must try if you like Asian Cuisine.
Spicy Shiitake Mushroom Sushi(4/5)- This was really good. It was spicy, a bit tangy and tasted perfectly well.
Berry Mojito(5/5)- This was also great, loved how the sweetness complimented the sour taste of Mojito.
We did not get to try hotpot which the place is famous for but overall the food experience was great. Would definitely visit again!
Great little restaurant in Kln close by to Irani Cafe. Best Asian restaurant I've been to in a long time. Their speciality is a hot broth in a large pot served with various type of noodles, veggies & adds on. What I like is their menu where you select with a pencil the no of choices you can customize your broth with the choice of add ons and unlimited quantities of it which totals to 750 per person plus any extra add ons. Their dimsums are pretty great too. Best to go with a group of 3-5.
This is a very unique concept. Hot pot is originally Vietnamese culture where you are served with soup bowl / pot and u are supposed to make your own dish out of it. They assist you with all ingredients, all precooked to desired levels, you just have to give it a finishing touch and garnish it with sauces of your choice. I fortunately met the owner as well. She is a gem and one of the sweet people I came across. She has immense experience in hospitality and has worked in Vietnam as well. She is a chef herself and looks after the kitchen as well....
If you want authentic yet different experience of South Asian food, it's a must visit place. They serve unlimited food in hot pots and food is indeed delicious. Parking issues are there a bit.
Hygiene:- The place was pretty hygienic, had a fresh feel to it and was well arranged for my liking.
Do visit this place if youโre looking for something unorthodox.
A first for me and it was an awesome experience!!
The menu allows you tonpucj and chiise your favorite vegetables and broth flavours.
I chose the half and half and it did not disappoint ... at all.
Tried different combinations of vegetables and greens to tweak the flavors.
And did I mention, the broth cooks on your table!
There is an induction stove on the table and the broth, vegetables and chicken is unlimited. You can experiment and make your own favorite.
I will definitely be visiting this place and during my travels will try to find some more one pot restaurants.
Must try the dine in experience of having a hot bowl brewing right on your table with flavourful and aromatic broth with variety of options in veggies, noodles or rice and sauces and toppings!
Healthy tasty and a soulful meal !
Hats off to Meghna for setting up such a lovely experience and scrumptious meal options !
All the best !

More people need to learn of this place and go here. The staff is really helpful in explaining how the hot pot works and what to choose.
The food itself is fantastic, it's super feel good, tastes brilliant and is very filling. A sharing hot pot for 2 has enough portion size to feed 3 easily, so go when you know you can eat lots!!!!
I love this place, it floods my memories from Ghuangzhou and Shenzen where I came across a hot pot. I love the soupy broth, flavours you can add in and cook for yourself and I find it super yummy and filling for my stomach, also a lot more healthy than the indo Chinese food that we get. Itโs clean, yummy, flavourful and delicious โค๏ธ

Staff was very professional and good knowledge of cusinie.
