Located at the busy street at FC road, Surve is one of the all-time popular destinations for non-veg lovers. The joint caters typical Maharashtrian style meals with a jolt of spices to soothe your taste buds. Try the special category of thalis for the ultimate experience.
One of the best places to eat non-veg in the city. Chicken thali is the best. Worth the try dishes.
Authentic Maharashtrian non veg food.. Loved it
The best place for non veg lovers..!
Loved the chicken kharda way too much❤️❤️
Been here quite a few times so now it's safe to say - I love this place!!!!!
If you love non veg food and like simple but flavorful gravies then this is the place you want to be at!
Because of lockdown I can't visit the place but I can order 😜😜😜😜😜😜.
I love few things here but my favorite is "chicken handi " and the rice here ❤️❤️❤️.
For me a complete Maharashtrian meal has to have one bowl of rice. So I'm completely in love with the perfectly cooked rice 🍚 and chicken!
The roties just so happen to actually stay soft even the next day. For me it's a wow point! Cuz they always tend to have ample portion dishes so they often go till next mornig as one can have just so much. I had some leftover handi next day and the roti was soo amazingly soft that I was surprised.

Awesome place. Thing is we are searching for this place and a person asks “ Searching for Survees?”. We say Yes. He is like “ come, I own the place!”. Wow!
We decided to celebrate the onset of weekend by going for a Friday lunch at Surve’s pure non veg, FC road.
This place has been on my list since a long time but somehow I could never make it before last Friday.
We had chicken thali, mutton thali and mutton Kharda. Everything was delicious especially the keema and aalni.
It all got over before I could click proper pictures.

Amazing Quality of food, Great Service, Must Visit for Chicken and mutton lovers 😍😍😍
We visited Surves on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. As you enter you are welcomed by mouthwatering aroma of food that's being prepared. That sets the mood right. The place can server at least 50 people at one time.
One thing to note is that it's a Pure NONVEG restaurant & that's totally true, there was not a single veg dish on the menu.
We ordered, Spcl. mutton thali, mutton thali, chicken keema thali & chicken thali.
It was super hot & spicy. So spicy that you can feel it in your ears & your lips start burning. But the food is so good that you don't wanna stop eating.
Spcl. Mutton thali: 4/5
Mutton thali: 4/5
Chicken keema thali: 3.5/5
Chicken thali: 3.5/5
Chicken kharda; 4/5 (warning: extremely spicy)
Talking about the ambience, it's nothing fancy. Only thing that drives people there is the food. Also, if they could keep the bathrooms a little clean that was be extremely nice.
Over all surve gets 4/5 ratings
Surve's pure non veg is exactly what its name suggests....a dream eatery for carnivores. The special chicken thali that I ordered came with a generous dish full of semi dry gravy of fried chicken. And super duper spicy but full on flavoured helping of rassa....which is unlimited. The kheema vati was yummy.........the jowar bhakari was soft and so huge....it was large enough to cover my face twice over. The icing on the cake was my favourite, the sticky and starchy indrayani rice.....it soaked up all that flavourful rassa perfectly.....that combo was pure bliss. A sure shot winner.......definite recco.
We ordered 1) Mutton thali
2) Chicken thali
It was tasty ....
Service is good .....
Staff is polite ....
Seating arrangement is good ...
Visited this restaurant on Sunday afternoon. We went there at about 12:30. Till the time we finished our meal, entire restaurant was full. We ordered chicken thali. Taste of gravy (rassa) was too good. Medium spicy I can say which was perfect. Chicken was fresh and cooked to perfection. Quantity of chicken was good enough. Onion with curd they serve makes things better for the thali experience. Chapati or bhakris are limited for the thali. Rassa is unlimited.
Service is prompt and quick. Overall, I had very nice experience. Bit higher on the price but worth a try.
Great masala of mutton curry, all dishes are pure, polite staff, homely feeling, Simple and practical ambiance. family place.
Highly Recommended.. Being from Foody City Like Mumbai and roots from Ratnagiri so Nonveg is like Priority for me and my family.. It's been 10 months I am in Pune was badly craving to eat right nonveg food. I just got disappointments from each place I visited.. so I started asking friends and colleagues where I will get to eat Konkani Style Nonveg here.. so my Colleague Swati suggested me this place been here with her and another colleague.. Not konkani but they have their own flavour, own different style of cooking nonveg.. amazing ambiance.. great people around.. friendly Employees.. on time service.. attentive and Humble and Staff is with Positive attitude.. I really had a good time with my frnds we loved the food.. we not left even single rice in a Plate... Marathit bolaaycha zaale tar Jaam bhaari.... food is HEAVENLY GOOD
This place is everything a hard-core non vegetarian could wish for. No amount of words can justify the gastronomical experience you are bound to have at this gem of a restaurant.
This place is totally worth the hype and you should visit this place if you take pride in calling yourself a non vegetarian foodie.
The mutton rassa served with bajre ki roti is a deadly combo and this place does it really well. I wish the prices were a little more economical but otherwise a must visit place in Pune.

A pure non veg restaurant is very rare to find. Over here you get one of the best maharashtrian non veg thali at a reasonable rate. Don't expect the place to be very good with ambience and the best servers, but if you are a non veg lover then these thing will not matter you at all because the food is so good that all these things would be negligible. I had the mutton special thali, it had the following items -
1) Bhakri
2) Mutton kheema - kheema of mutton which was a bit spicy but full of flavours.
3) Mutton Rassa - spicy gravy of mutton, best eaten with rice.
4) Mutton soup - It comes in a very small bowl, the best thing in the entire thali. Try saving it till the end.
5) Mutton fry - dry mutton with spicy mirination.
6) Pulav- Rice with mutton pieces in it.
Went for Surve's sometimed back to have their special chicken thali with a friend.... The thali was amazing and superb. The people who loves maharastrian cuisine, non-veg and spicy food will definitely love this place.
But for the weight conscious people, u must take a chance as u will surely gain some extra pounds after having food here.
Coming to the thali, there is chicken rassa, khima abd chicken fry served with chapatis/bhakhris. We had chapatis. Trust me, the food was tasty but definitely spicy. So 5/5 for me.Rice is also served in the thaali..definitely must visit place.
This place is as the name suggests a pure Non vegetarian place.
The Aroma of the rassa or broth infused with the hotel own special mix of spices brings what to your mouth.
The ambiance is good provided you eating on the first floor where you have the Peshawar ear designed windows.
Coming to the main point the Food - must try are the thali which come in Chicken Mutton & egg.
I tried the Chicken Thali and the Chicken Keema thali in the case you want both in one then try the special.
Staff is super understanding and would suggest you dishes based on your inputs. There are not pushy trying bro sell the costliest dish on the menu and suggest based on requirment.
Must visit place on FC road
The rassa/broth/gravy with the local bread aka bhakari broken into small pieces and mixed with the gravy is a superb combination.
Ps. They are very generous with Kanda/pyaaj or onions with lemon.
Hope you love the place.
Thanks
Kev.
I ate at Kothrud and FC road branches in Pune, the food never failed to impress. Its awesome, chicken and mutton both are too delicious to miss!
Have visited this olace on saturday after a really boring day...Ordered "CHICKEN THALI" which included chicken curry, chicken pieces, egg, chapati, rice and salad...Curry was simply awesome..it tasted thodasa similar to the one which is being prepared at my home...5 stars for the curry...pieces taste could have been a better...but it was also good in taste...the chapatis were simply soft and served hot....ordered biryani rice which was very spicy to taste (khada masala taste).I would recommend plain rice with chicken curry...Overall...it was a very good experience...
#PuneFoodie
As name says it all, you will get only non veg food here. Best thing I liked about this place is they serve meat for goat as well as sheep. So foodies with either kind of preference can go and enjoy the food.Talking about food, All masala used for meat fry are tasty specifically kharda which was spicy and finger licking good. Enjoyed food. It will be in my favorite places list.
I heard about this place as renowned for hardcore non veg as name itself is pure non veg. We tried chicken handi and bhakri. Full chicken handi is enough for 5-6 peoples. Taste was ok-ok, not as good as I expected after so many reviews. Service was so so fast food was on our table within 10 minutes of order. Overall good experience.
Full points for the food. We had special chicken thali - it came with chicken rassa, chicken fry, bhakri and rice. We also asked to try their thecha and they gladly got us some, didn't charge for it. The food is very spicy, but totally worth it. Authentic chicken/mutton bhakri can be had here.
If...If... If you are a die hard fan of some really authentic dishes, then this place is a perfect match for you. Located right at one of the very prime location of Pune, Ferguson College Road it is one of the best place to have a complete meal. Ordered gharguti styled chicken handi and jwari bhakri. Chicken was rightly cooked and tender, spices were nicely cooked and aromatic, amazing taste and the bhakris too were nice and soft and with this we got unlimited chicken gravy. To finish it off we had a glass of solkadhi which had a perfect blend of kokum, coconut milk and spices. Dont misunderstand the staff being roughly spoken, thats their accent but they are quite nice. Yes, it gets crowded as the sun goes down because it is a favourite place to many celebs as well, the best time to visit is by noon to 1pm. One star less is only because the handi we ordered was extremely high in portion and if 2 people are going to eat it it is impossible to finish it and it costs somewhere around 800, wherein its a waste of food and money ofcourse unnecessarily. There should have been some less portion for two with less price.
A must try place for authentic Maharashtrian non vegetarian dishes! We had ordered a special chicken thali, special mutton thali and kharda chicken. Chicken thali was the best! The reason for 4 star is that the mutto was chewy. Otherwise a homely experience to the taste buds. Also do give a try to their solkadi, goes well with the spicy dishes to tone down the spice level! The staff was polite and the place was well lit. Service was on time . Will definitely recommend and visit this place again!
Bit Expensive but no doubt worth the price, the quality is great, the taste feels authentic, but some fastfood freaks may not like it(Bandar kya jane adrak ka swaad). I'll suggest any dish just make sure it is bit spicy, so don't skip on sole kadhi (Punn intented) It'll help to soothe your taste buds. Must visit if you like spicy and flavorful food. 1 star less just because of waiting time😅.
Delicious tempting and mouthwatering mutton soup wati and mutton special thali . Interior is very good . And service also very nice . Staff is so polite and helpful for dish recommendations.
A place where all the concentration on Food is given by the authority. I don't know why i am so late to venture on this Prime Food place, However on my visit on last Saturday me and my Family from Kolkata got mesmerized by the taste. Simply Awesome Special Mutton Thali and the Mutton Keema are Mouthwatering. I will visit soon for sure as I am passionate Mutton Dish Lover, and I wish to relive the taste once again.
Best Mutton dish I ever had in Pune city till now. Keep Rocking, keep up the good work. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
If you are true non veg lover then should definitely visit this place. We tried Chicken thali which gets served with gravy and chicken kheema. The quantity is good, food is also tasty. But food is bit expensive.
Wow This place is fab for nonveg lovers. So perfectly cooked rich in taste and rigjt amount of spices is what ade me fall in love with it. If you are anywhere near FC road and looking place for lunch or dinner this place is must try. Quantity is good and irrespective of high prices you should. Give it try
Great food, slightly overpriced, good service.
Taste 5/5
Cost 4/5
Service 3.5/5
Must try Mutton fry bhakri with rassa, mutton thali with solkadi.
Had heard of them since long and finally visited.
Popularity of a place is directly proportional to the waiting time spent in queue. It took us almost 25 minutes to get seated. And after that it was sheer joy, one बाटी at a time.
Started with a chicken thali. The bhakti and chicken sukka were my heroes. Ordered a Chicken Alani which was made of boiled chicken. This was again a delight. The young one was treated to a complimentarychicken soup by the owner.
Finally had the indrayani bhaat with rassa.
Very friendly and prompt service. The food is also great. You have to be here to be a part of the pune's food legacy.
The best thing about this restaurant is it's Rassa, simply mind blowing. And for that fact may be they have included the mutton/chicken rassa thali. However Chicken/mutton was well cooked it wasn't that tender.
I went twice only for Dalcha khana, both the time I didn't got as it was already finished.
Service is not that great, some training required for staff. I found lack of coordination among the staff, didn't knew the dishes in menu well. Staff assume that customer already knew about the menu they didn't help me to choose which dish to order. I felt bit jumbled up in this place.
Being here on a rainy day as carving for chicken. Suggested by a friend. Ordered surve's special chicken thali. I would it was nice and juicy. The taste was something different of what I had previously. Then after you complete the meal you get the Indrayani rice which is the utmost best here.Must go if you are true NON-VEG lover.
Though being expensive, I’d suggest you’ll to visit because no matter what the taste isn’t disappointing 🥰
That typical Puneri ambience plus the walkway till the restaurant is something out of the blue 💙
Superb food and amazing staff. Proper Kolhapuri cuisine with less spices. This is the place which serves you the authentic taste at affordable prices.
Their special Mutton Thali is a must have. Mutton and chicken both are so well cooked. Do ask for the Green Thecha here to enhance the taste.
I thought it should be worth the effort taken in such heavy rains!
We entered the place and I could smell the chicken rassa.
We ordered chicken soup which was very good. We also ordered Chicken handi which had rassa and dry chicken separately given. Chapati size is huge! Also, they have a special indrayani rice.
A very quick service.
It was a 'Winner winner chicken dinner'!

As the tagline say Pure Nonveg.
i ordered mutton thali and egg thali.
Quantity is really good and taste also just little spicy.
I asked for dahi Kanda.. they don't serve with thali.i asked separately and they arranged..
Service is also fast.
just one suggestion please add dahi kanda with thali..4 star from my side..
During my stay at Pune, I tried maharastrian food for the first time. And I m glad that I tried it here.
We ordered a chicken thali and a mutton thali which comes with chappati/rice, rassa and chicken and mutton fry respectively. The rassa is a type of gravy which goes very good with the chappati or rice. And the chicken and mutton fry preparation was too delicious and mouth watering. They also provided complimentary boiled eggs which is a big plus. The quantity is enough for 2 people. The price was also reasonable. Chicken thali was 350/- and mutton thali was 400/- which i think is pretty good. So if you want to try good maharastrian food this place is a must visit.
When your mom cooks incredible nonveg, it is surprisingly difficult to find a place that serves you food as good as that.
I've heard about Surves for the longest time, but I never really went out to eat mutton thali. On a close friends insistence I decided to finally visit this place.
What I ordered was the mutton thali with and extra bowl of mutton soup.
I also specified that I wanted lamb meat and not sheep meat, something that is mentioned in the beginning of their menu. I personally prefer lamb meat and I was ecstatic that they actually have u a choice( most hotels serve sheep meat ) and don't really ask for you preference.
The thali was with good portions of mutton soup, gravy ,mutton fry and bhakri.
I ordered an extra bowl of mutton soup as that my favorite . They also served me really good sticky indrayani rice with loads of ghee.
I have had meals like this only at home, not only was the mutton we'll cooked and sliding off the bones it was super tasty ..
A must visit, I would be going back too to try their kaleji fry and kharda mutton.. 😍😍
As tagline suggests pure nonveg
Yes it is pure non veg reastraunt
I always visit this place if I am in Pune
Special chicken thali
Bhakari
Rassa
#indrayani rice
Finger licking taste
The aroma you get when you enter into restaurant is awesome
Spicy and tasty mahasathrian food
Mutton jatra Yatra with Jowari bhakri and Chicken kharda.Lip smacking food. Worth the time and effort to drive all the way just to taste the amazing food. Excuse the oil 🤫

Mutton special place.
Ordered mutton rassa , keema, mutton fry, mutton pulav not in the picture though.
All were lip smacking,
bhakri here is made out of jowar.
Maharashtrian taste to all the dishes.
5 out of 5 for service ambience food authenticity.
Must go place for non-veg lovers! Their mutton thali and kheema are simply awesome. Also the ambience was quite good, felt like home. Me n my foodie friends visited this place last night and we weren't dissappointed...the taste, the spices..all spot on...
We hv visited at paud road branch of Surve.. ordered mutton sukka with rassa.. And indryanini rice half which is quite enough for 3 persons ambience taste nice.. It's just homemade I, ate 3 chatpatis.. Sov don't think why it's value is 40/ just khate jao.. Mutton masala was nice.. I think little bit spicy is needed. But agree in pune 1 st ranking is to SURVE and they are loyal to word PURE NON VEG ..
The experience was just fab. We drove from Hadapsar to this place in mad traffic based on reviews on Zomato and Pune Eat Out. It was worth all the time spent reaching here and finding a parking spot. Each and every menu is worth tasting from their menu. We had Chicken Pakoda, Chicken Alani, Mutton Kharda n Mutton Jatra Yatra Handi, Bhakari and the delicious Indrayani Rice. Each n every item was having it's own flavor and was giving our taste buds different level of satisfaction. To top of it we had Solkadhi which made it a complete👌💯 experience. Looking forward to my Pune visit next time.
The ambience is simple yet classy. There are 3-4 different section. We chose to seat at lower seating instead of normal fine dine.
If you are true non veg lover then should definitely visit this place. They have taste from Satara . The pure gavran non veg taste. They have amazing thali options .
Taste - 4.5/5
A perfect heaven for biriyani and non veg lovers. The quantity, quality, cooked to perfection.
The only challenge is finding the resto, as we are new to that area.
The board outside, shows only the veg resto.
Plz guys, keep a huge sign board outside.
If you are craving for authentic maharashtrian non-veg eatery, this is the place to visit. I tried their chicken thali and it’s deliciously amazing. The taste, quantity, service all are great. Next up, to try their other delicacies!
I just love this place. It’s great place for people who love to eat non veg. lol bit pricey I must say. I had this amazing starter thecha chicken. As the name suggests spicy and green in color.
Being an ardent fan of nonveg, I used to always curse myself for not being able to go here. Finally the day arrived when I got the chance to come here.
It's in the lane where Chaitanya paratha is, but before it. It looks small from outside but has ample seating capacity inside.
We came directly to point by ordering the spcl chicken thali with chapati. Because I know I can't finish bhakris.
So the thali came fast with a chicken curry, some chicken masala ani also some dry chicken fry. The curry had lots of oil but boy was it tasty. The dry chicken and the curry together tasted spectacular.
Even after taking chapatis, I had to let go of rice because I was full.
We had solkadhi to complete the meal which had a pretty good taste.
I would ofcourse be going back there, just don't know when I get the chance.
This place is pure heaven for non veg lovers. I have tried mutton kheema at many places but the kheema that this place offers is something out of the world. So rich in taste perfectly cooked and right amount of spice is what made me fall in love with it. If you are anywhere visiting FC road this place is a must try. We tried Chicken thali which gets served with gravy and chicken kheema along with chicken pieces and mutton thali which gets served with gravy and mutton kheema. The quantity is good the food’s expensive but worth it. 😇
This restaurant is well known for it’s non veg food. Specially the taste reminds me of village food.😋 Non vegetarians must visit this place at least once.
Taste is very good. Service is also very nice. If you are a die hard fan of eating non-vegetarian food then this is one of the best place you can visit.
Superb place for non-veg lovers. I tried Special Mutton Thali and Chicken Thali and both of them tasted awesome. The food is a bit on the spicy side but the gravy tastes completely natural without any added ingredients like cream. Both the chicken as well as mutton was super soft. What really surprised me was that their chapati was super yumm. The price is a bit more as compared to the market price, but it is worth the taste and quality.
Had mutton special thali at this place last Friday afternoon. In the special thali you get bhakari/chapati, dry mutton, mutton curry, mutton soup and mutton kheema. I will suggest to add little less spice as it was little spicy.
This place is just amazing, we visit 4-5 times a month, delicious food , quick service, Non veg lovers this is the best place in pune, 1 request please open a branch in other cities too like Nashik, mumbai
Heard a lot about this restaurant and it was time to give it a visit.
We tried mutton thali and keema thali. Mutton was great, ample amount. Keema also was great but it was less in quantity. Quantity of rice served is also very less.
Overall you should try atleast once for its taste.
This place was made for non veg lovers.
The name itself says Pure nonveg and the restaurant lives up to it's claim and has become a people's favourite.
The mutton pieces are tender and cooked to perfection.
The Alni soup that they provide as a starter is awesome.
Even the Biryani here is really nice.
Recommendations:Alni Soup,Alni mutton
Food:4/5
Ambience:3.5/5
Service:4/5
Simply awesome mouth watering non veg maharashtrian cuisine. Thali are too good and comes in good quantity. We had their special mutton thali and half portion chicken pulav. Special mutton thali is undoubtedly their signature item. So flavourful and soft tader mutton one must try that out with soft jowar bhakri (instead of chapati). The dishes appear tangy orange red but not that hard spicy rather it's mouthful of original taste. Super liked the mutton paya soup something unique. Chicken pulav/biriyani is a completely different one than whatever I had tasted before. It's plain ghee rice (Indrayni Rice) mixed with 5/6 portion of very well cooked chicken pieces without any spices, additionally comes with a bowl of tangy rassa and a bowl of dalcha (very tasty). Something distinct than conventional biriyani one must not compare ideally. Super friendly staff and quick service are other factor making them people choice.
So if you are in mood of exploring go out for their local delicacy, truly recommended :)
Food is super delicious, very yummy. Properly cooked, the flavours were just perfect. Even service is fast.
It's a bit expensive considering the decor and the waiting time etc but if you haven't tried it you should definitely give it a try.
Nice place for Maharashtrian authentic non veg food with great taste. good ambience with variety of non veg dishes. Mutton is available in both Bolhai and bokad. Thalis are available. One star less coz, bit on costly side for limited thali options. Must try - Special chicken and mutton thali, Biryani
If you're looking for maharashtrian cuisine, then you must visit this place. They serve authentic maharashtrian non-veg food which is spicy and tasty.Chicken alani fry is a must try for non-veg lovers.
Recently visited the svrve's well known for its non veg. The place is very common we can say a small hotel with no touch of interior design. But the food quantity we get there for what we pay is efficient but the food quality has too be looked after a little bit can be more appropriate if worked on it .The service is a bit problem over here. overall this place is really good in terms of good food at small range of amount. I loved the rice which was served hot that to indrayni one. will visit soon.
Well I know I am pretty biased towards this place, but they deserve all the praise, I am so glued to the food they make and even more warmer service they give. Must visit if u feel like eating #gharcha javen ❤️
I had ordered bhurji curry from Surve's pure non-veg restaurant today. No doubt in taste, it was delicious but was flooded with oil. I'm attaching a picture of it please see how much oil it contained. Hope this will not happen in future.
Love Mutton this the place to go to. Tucked away behind the Famous Marrakesh this is a delight for Mutton lovers. They have a limited thali which makes for quite a deal. Highly recommend the thecha mutton
One of the Hotspots on FC road for non veg lovers. Famous for typical maharshtrian non veg food. Mutton Thali is too good. Price is a bit high but taste is very good.
Hey Folks!
If you're looking up for some spicy maharashtrian style Non-Veg Food then this is the best place around FC road you should visit.
The Authenticity of Food Served is Really great.
The perfect combination of spices and truely genuine efforts to make the dish more presentable and Tasty, is something i like a lot about this place. Thought you add some extra calories i bet it is truely worth of.
The Ambience is also Good and Clean but generally you'll have to wait for a table as this place is becoming Pune must visit place for NonVeg Food.
SUGGESTIONS.
1. Mutton/Chicken Handi.
2. Survey's Special Thali.
3.Mutton Pulav Biryani.
PlusMinus-
If You don't Love Pure Maharashtrian Food then this is surely not the place you should visit.
I agree the prices are bit overcharged but the quality and taste is remarkable.
Hope You Enjoy You're Visit.
Have A Good Day🤗
Went there with friends when we were super hungry and this place did not disappoint us at all.
Ordered Chicken fry and mutton fry thali with chapati.
The taste was indeed amazing. The chicken and mutton pieces were cooked to perfection and were juicy as well. Also the rassa was tasty.
We then ordered Solkadi which was okish.
This place disappointed us with the service though.
We had to ask the waiters atleast couple after ordering.
Taste : 5/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 2/5
Overall a good place if you are a hardcore non veg lover.
This is pretty good place to get your fix of a killer, spicy thali.
Ever since they surfaced, I wanted to give them a go. Thanks to a recent office tour, I was able to check them out.
The place is a medium sized restaurant, but pretty well kept and run. The service is pretty fast. The ambiance simplistic. The servers although unkempt young boys, are very helpful and would guide you very well, as per your liking through the menu.
The food is spicy to begin with, but the good kinda spicy. The spice that you would enjoy and not regret the morning after.
I tried their special chicken thali, which includes, the chicken rassa, fry chicken (a dry variant) and a bowl of kheeema, complete with pulao rice and a bhakri or chapati. Priced at a slightly higher side but more or less worth it

Good food, quick service. One doesn’t expect elaborate service at such a joint. The food was traditional Maharastrian. Spicy and tasty. We tried the mutton and chicken dishes and they were very flavorful.
It's a small little place crowded with people. When you go to such places you know you are not looking for a fine dining experience.
I had a delicious mutton meal. I would have liked it a tad bit more spicier but it was delicious nonetheless. The mutton soup was excellent and the chapati was hot and soft. The mutton was soft and succulent.
It's a bit expensive considering the decor and the wait time etc but if you haven't tried it you should definitely give it a try.
Rating - If I ever move to Pune and the taste remains the same, I will visit this place twice every three months. That's how I feel like when I think of rating this place. How it translates to a quanitiable number is up to you :P
Can't get enough of their इंद्रायणी भात and तांबडा रस्सा. Sure winner! Mutton thali here is my all time favorite. Now they offer बोकड (goat) मटण along with बोल्हाइ (sheep) मटण. You can choose which one you would like to have. Just one demand, plz add पांढरा रस्सा.
Simple ambience
We tried 2 mutton thali variants and a chicken thali
Good portion size, sofa bhakris ... personally prefer the indrayani rice than pulav ....both options are available with thali
Boiled anda bhurji recommended
Surve's Pure Non-Veg
FC Road-Pune
Hey are you a Non Vegetarian?
Yes.
You should go to Surves.
I heard it for so long at Pune and finally made my way to try out the PURE Non- veg food ;). I love the ‘Pure’ in the name. Here you go veggies we too can colonize 😄.
The place gives complementary - ukkad - mutton soup and what I love is they don’t give you spoon so you lift the bowl and drink it up! This is surely a YUMMY way to start your meal. If you have cold have this soup. It is soulful.
For starter, we tried mutton alani fry.for some reason , this dish was not a fry in the true sense. It had a very thin gravy. It had many small pieces of baby goat meat - cooked to perfection.
For main course we went for special Mutton thali - which comes with obvious choice of fresh bhakri or chapati. The gravy was yummy ( mix of punjabi and Marathi flavors) a bit oily. The rassa too was a little oily for Pune standards. However it was tasty and we gobbled. Kheema in Thali was perfect!
After starter, Mutton dalcha was again confusing as dal was served separately with rice Biryani. Though the Biryani was super yummy dal was just regular stuff and we skipped it. Typically dalcha has dal and meat cooked together - I just said maybe this is Maharashtrian dalcha. Alls good if taste it good.
Service was excellent, quality of meat excellent, ambience is okay, but place is clean. Puneri jaanta is right here, if you are a nonveg lover you should try this place out! After all it is ‘Purely’ Nonveg :) !

Visited once and fallen in love with the taste they have for their 🥘 food. I had Surve’s special Thali (chicken) and I was not at disappointed with the taste and quantity of food they served. The staff is also good to serve you in polite manner which enhances the experience of having food over here. I loved this place for one more reason which is they served Indrayani Rice 🍚 in that thali which took the experience of the thali to another level altogether. For me it was a wonderful dinner over there and I’ll definitely recommend this place to visit if you really want enjoy non-veg thali.
Place located on one of the most happening and happy go lucky streets of Pune exactly opposite of FC gate 3.
Place serves typical Maharashtrian thali of chicken and mutton with different mouth watering delicacies. Fish is also available.
We had been here for dinner, not a huge place though with very less ambience to write about but takes all its points for Food served.
We had special chicken thali, special mutton thali and my favourite kaleji fry. Everything was just great. I would suggest kaleji fry (if not diet conscious) is a must try.
Bhakri and chapati is as per choice but we had soft and hot bhakris with chicken kheema and chicken tambda rassa and chicken fry in a thali with indrayani steamed rice. One must definitely visit this place and then decide....
My ratings :
Ambience : 3/5
Food : 4.5/5
Service : 4.5/5
Wonderful the dinner...Keep exploring!
My all time favorite place for chicken and Mutton
Awesome good chicken handi and mutton fry is unbelievable.the setting is very comfortable and ambiance is non existent. There is always a big rush here obviously because of amazing food.
Do try
A small place which is very busy... Like u will be lucky if u go and get a place immediately.. 15 to 20 min waiting is must.. But if u Ask Me about the food it's just fabulous.. Too tasty... For only non vegetarian... Coming on to the DISHES Mutton Thalia fascinated me......dishes are too tasty.. But always get ready to sleep after the meal... I don't know but I felt daisy.. Anyways very gr8 experience.. Upgradation is always welcomed.
Pricing :-500 rs to 600 rs for 1 if u want to full ur tummy
Excellent Maharashtrian cuisine. Particularly like the chicken thaali and special chicken sukkha. Love the chapatis, nice and soft. This is soul food.
A traditional Maharashtrian, mostly Kolhapuri flavours. Thali was preference for me as it has lite bit of all, but next visit will try their main dishes as well, need a bigger gang for that to taste all.
The hot levels are little lower than the peers which make me love it more.
Go for it.
Mouthwatering non-veg meal.
If you love to eat chicken/mutton rassa with hot jawar roti and delicious indrayani rice ,then I would strongly recommend to visit this place once.
And once you visit here and taste chicken you guys fall in love with this restaurant taste.
I generally eat only half/one jawar roti but whenever I went here to eat chicken thali ,I ate 2-3 jawar roti as it's very thin and hot so you could not control yourself .
One of the best non veg food in town. They are specialist in chicken kharda , it is bit spicy but great at taste. Good food service and staff. Non veg lover must visit this place once and you will visit every time you carve for non veg
While going to Goa on NH4, near Satara we used to see this neon sign on left "सुर्वेज् - प्युअर नाॅनव्हेज”.. always wondered what the taste must be if they are so passionate about it. Thanks to them for opening three outlets in Pune. Visited the FC Road one today unplanned. And my expectations were not just met but exceeded. Awesome mutton kheema thali, chicken curry and indrayani rice. Out of this world. Would definitely visit it again to try some of the other delicacies.
We had the Special chicken thali and mutton keema thali.
Special chicken thali had chicken curry chicken keema. They offer chapati or bhakri we went for chapati. The chapatis were so huge. Personally i was full in two chapatis only. Also they were very soft.
They also offer rice but i dint go for it was really full. Over all a great place the food was just yum. Chicken was lovely. Mutton keema also great just a bit on the spicy side the taste was great and masala was amazing. So happy after satisfying my meat cravings at this place.
Ordered one Surve's Special Chicken Thali which consisted of Chicken Rassa, Dry Chicken, Chicken Kheema, Poli and Pulav / Indrayani Bhaat; all cooked in pure ghee.
Also ordered Bhakari and Mutton Kheema Fry.
The dish i loved the most was the Mutton Kheema Fry. Pure food heaven! Well spiced with good amounts of ghee, it just melted in the mouth on the first bite. It had a subtle flavor of charcoal. Tasted delicious when mixed with indrayani bhaat which was dripping with golden melted ghee. 😋
The mutton as well as chicken was well cooked and succulent. The dishes were very well spiced enhancing the natural flavours.
The quatity was good and quality was excellent. Good Ambience and prompt service.
Overall loved the food
Pure non veg. They also offer non veg breakfast. mutton and chicken misal. I had ordered chicken thali which was very very tasty. Their chicken techa is very very delicious. Also try indrayani rice and soda handi. You might need to wait to get a table because it's always full.
Pure non veg in the name itself enough for me to try this place. Went to this place on Sunday afternoon with college friends. There was long queue and we had to wait for almost 30 mins. So once we were inside, we quickly ordered food and all the wait was worthy. This is must try restaurant if you want to have Maharashtrian non veg.
Nice place to be if your true love is non vegetarian food . Vegetarians.. please stay away ! We ordered chicken handi, mutton fry , kheema and chapati. Chicken handi was bland but the other two dishes were fantastic . Service is super fast , but not very active . Nothing much to mention about the ambience . I somehow feel food at the the vimannagar branch is better.
Food: 4.5/5
Service: 3.5/5
Price: 3.5/5(590/- for the order)
Order: mutton soup small, dalcha rassa vati, chicken kheema small, mutton khichdi, bhakri - 3, solkadi - 3
Hits: mutton khichdi, bhakri
Misses: none
- They truly stick to the 'pure non-veg' tag by not serving anything veg except bhakri, rice and other side dishes
- mutton khichdi is loaded with ghee and nice quality chunky mutton
- chicken kheema is nice but too oily
- dalcha is good with good taste of raw mango with mutton
- bhakri is specially made on chulha and gives the distinct smell which you cant get from gas stove.
- service is inconsistent and slow
Awesome Maharashtrian mutton thali. The Kheema is something to die for. Served with soft and hot bhakri its a treat. If you’re a avid mutton lover and looking for some authentic taste in city your search ends here.
Visit for mouthwatering Maharashtrian non-veg cuisine!
Do not visit for ambience or service! Thought both are decent, the delicious authentic spicy food is the show stopper at this joint.
Hot food will make way to your table and the perfect blend of spice will take over.
We had khima with bhakri and chapati, solkadhi and indrayani rice. It was Perfect!
The food is really awesome here. I love the taste and staff is also very friendly. Mutton thali here is one of my favourite items and I recommend it.
Best place for assal Mutton and Chicken Thali. Tasty food and quality of meat also great. Worth a visit😀👍. Each Thali is a combination of different preparation of mutton and chicken and quantity is awesome
I had heard about this place and the non-veg food so much that i had to try it. The ambience is average. But the food is delicious. Simple and authentic food.
The chicken and mutton dishes are so scrumptious that you would want to lick your fingers. You just can't stop eating. And they also serve Bhakri which was so tasty and fulfilling.
Overall great service and excellent non-veg dishes.
Must must try for non-veg lovers.
Was in Pune for a few days and everyone had the mood of exploring Maharashtrian Cuisine as soon as we landed.
Ambiance was average. Service team is fantastic. They managed to gave us a table within few 5mins though the place was jam packed.
Mutton Thali was great and packed with perfect spices. Dining experience was lovely. The Mutton Curry was amazing which complimented perfectly with the Multi-grain roti.
Our waiter was very generous and kept asking us for more serving of Curry and Rice.
Service: 4/5
Ambiance: 2/5
Food: 4/5
Value for Money: 4/5
If you are vegeterian you have no scope here for eating as you will not find a single veg dish in their menu. The mutton is great and the Thalis are worth it especially the paya soup and bhakris which are as good as home made. Go here on an empty stomach if you wish to finish the entire thali as i shared it with my cousin and still couldnt finish it.
In an ideal world, this would be the place where non veg lovers go when they die so that they can keep eating without ever being full.
I don't really like mutton but at this place I would not even think of ordering anything other than mutton and that should tell you all about the food here.
We had Surve's special mutton Thali and Mutton kharda.
The Thali offers a very refreshing soup, the best keema in Pune, a really spicy mutton curry, a mutton Rasa worth drowning in, really soft rice to accompany the Rasa and perfect roti to accompany everything.
Mutton kharda will blow your mind with an explosion of flavours and spice.
Do visit this place if you've never been here, you're really missing out on a lot.
I am a big fan of surve's mutton thali..had been there for the first time with a friend..since then I always prefer this restaurant for non veg cuisine.."The Best" nonveg cuisine ever tasted in pune!!!

This place doesn't need any introduction since brand called 'सुर्वे'ज - नॉन व्हेज ' already established ages back !!!
We recently visited camp branch which is open recently in mid Sept.
Address : Same building where Bhagat Tarachand exists. Surve's is at 2nd floor
Coming back to food. We ordered chicken thali (basic one) which includes unlimited tambda pandhra + chicken curry + chicken sukha + indrayani rice.

Taste was very good. Flavours were perfect.
Staff is polite and very friendly.

#recommended for all non veg especially mutton lovers :-)
Awesome food. Tried mutton......excellent is the word for taste and service. You have to wait for your turn, but not for more than 10-15 min. Good place for family dinner too. You can get veg ordered from nearby restaurant(don't remember the name I think Chaithany's paratha) and they seve you on table. So even if any of your friend or family member is vegetarian, you can go. But inside @Surve's you will get only non-veg .....as the name says.

Delicious food. Excellent service. Medium ambience. Maharashtrian Mutton and chicken dishes available. Fish unavailable. Solkadi available.
Photo : Mutton fry and Mutton masala with Bhakari.
The best food your want to try ...Have it, feel the spice and authentic taste...Loved it will come back again..
They are the best no need for any review the food taste and culture over here has it all..
Staffs very friendly and approachable
This place is always there in the list of a non-veg lover and I am not any different. It lives to your expectations and you would want to visit more and more here.
Of course the quality of food is awesome and service too. I would not take the name of any dish because everything here is worth a try.
But try to avoid going late especially at night whenever there is festival the next day and you want to have non veg food today, as you might miss out on some delicacies.
This place was in my list of restraunts to cover from a very long time. Let me start by saying this malvani/marathi nonveg thali is a dream for non veg lovers.
You get chicken thali with curry, sizeable pieces of chicken, rassa, bhakri and rice in a thali for 400 bucks which can be shared.
If you are on budget you should go for chickrm kheema thali which costs only 150 rs.
The service is very quick and the quantities are great.
This place hides a lil on FC Road next to Chaitanya but you will find it easily.
Must try will definetly be Solkadhi which is kokum based curry drink with sweet taste.

Had been on my bucket list for real long and decided to drop by on Sunday evening.l dropped in very early in evening around 7.30 and the place had already started to fill in. We were able to grab a table and were welcomed by a smiling gentleman “Santosh Kolekar”. Eye balling the menu I quickly placed the order for “Chicken Masala”, “Mutton Kheema Fry” , “Ghadichi Poli” and “Indrayni Rice”
Place is super clean and Santosh is eager to help you with menu.
Chapatis - were served hot and were fluffy , a perfect companion to gobble up main course!!
Mutton Kheema Fry - Kheema was well cooked in the spices and was yummy. Mutton pieces in Kheema could have cooked bit more to make it more like “fall of bone” thing.
Chicken Masala - Meat was cooked perfectly and masala was medium spiced thick gravy which went quite well with chapati and rice
Santosh got me a complimentary “Mutton Rassa” and he was very much insisting that I should have Indrayani rice with it. A perfect combo to end the meal up with.
A buzzing place with good food and lively people. The place is expanding further !! However make sure you reach early to grab a table without a wait time :)
Definitely recommend for Mutton Lovers who like and prefer “Goat” Meat over Lamb!!
I could try only chicken thali as mutton was over. So plan an early lunch or dinner :)
Cost- Rs400 ( it can be shared by two ppl)
Yummy chicken curry served with Bhakti/chapati and rice will lure your taste buds for long 😋
Excellent food. Courteous staff. Feels like home. Food has very homely taste. The best part is you can share thali. Me not being a very heavy eater this is a boon for me as food is not wasted. Had chicken thali which was right spicy & flavourful. Serving is in very homely manner. Would definitely recommend this place for people looking for real food.
Mutton haven, it trully brings you to a place of bliss. tender fantastic mutton with their huge chapatis What a joy this place is. A must visit for Mutton lovers
The best Maharashtrian food you could get in Pune would be at this place. I have been here several times and consistently had Lip smacking food. I have tried the chicken thali, mutton thali , special mutton thali and the mutton kheema fry. Everything is superb and the mutton thali specifically is to die for. Their ambience is fine and the service is excellent. Their pricing is reasonable too.
Taste is very good of chicken starters. Good ambience. Nice place to eat nonveg like homemade taste. Good for family lunch/dinner Or office team lunch.
This is a must go place for any foodie. Love the name pure non veg. And the food it’s superb. So simple, tasty and perfectly cooked. Don’t miss this place. Keema Mutton rocks :) I have taken all my friends, relatives to Surve’s and been given a thumbs up for choosing this small restaurant.
Just loved it, the ambiance is not so great but if you are looking only for taste, then this is the place. The biggest turn on is the aroma, it's just so amazing. The second and third is, the quantity of the meal w.r.t price ... Tooo much in too less of a price, 4 people were full in just 900 bucks. The 4th is the taste, so amazing and so authentic. Generally in restaurants non veg is boiled or pressure cooked in order to shorten the cook time. But here I could feel the tenderness of mutton which was due to slow cooking. I rarely have words to describe the taste here. Would highly recommend this place. If you are in pune...
P.S. Its pure non veg restaurant, but if you are a vegetarian, don't worry, there is another pure veg restaurant just beside surve's which will get you anything you want in surve's so that you can eat with your friends. extra marks for this :)
P.P.S - Please open a branch with same taste in Bangalore... :)
pure non-veg means pure non-veg..yummiee and delicious 😋 chicken biryani. if you are a non vegetarian person this place is for you..
space is little bit conjugated and they don’t have proper ventilation system. rest is perfect.
Authentic Nonveg hotel
Yummy..... Yummy ..... Yummy..... Yummy.....
For as a maharashtrian, i love this hotel like crazy
What should I write?????
Even i can only thinking while writing how tasty food it has....
Awesome dishes....
Just try MUTTON DALCHA RICE....
It serves some pieces of dum mutton along with plain white rice.... But aroma and taste is truly yummy....
It uses pure ghee and some spices....
Serves for 3 pax ....
I recommend this place for diehard nonvegetarian lovers....
Mutton Kheema fry Is also very good serves kheema as a base gravy and fried mutton pieces
U just go and try it once....
Food is the best and w can't give the ratings to it....
100/100
I loved this place... We ordered chicken handi and bhakari plus chapati... Chicken sukka.. Then rice. Nice Ambience.. Crowded place.. Prices are moderate... Food is tasty..

The food was great ,service was nice , servers are friendly and serve food with love ! There is lot of hustle-bustle going all over so ambience wise it's not very fancy ,but food is great !
Visited this gem of a restaurant for lunch. Was all set and eager to gobble the most talked about mutton thali. Unfortunately mutton thali was not avaible. Though we were lucky to get some paya soup which was simply one of the best soup I've ever eaten.
We settled for a chicken thali which was out of this world and I sure did not regret missing on the mutton thali. The gravy dish was awesome. It was spicy and a perfect mix of flavour which had the taste buds go crazy. The chicken fry and keema was yummy. The icing on the cake was the delicious rassa of the day with the indrani rice. It's was simply awesome.
A special mention about warm staff. Our server santosh was very helpful.
We went to celebrate the last day before shravan. Had a good experience since it was bandh in maharashtra still we got quality food. Chicken thecha is must try dish.
Food : 4☆
Ambience : 3☆
Service : 4☆
Value for money : 3.5☆( little over priced but it is fc road so cant say much )
Overall exp : 3.5☆
Good non-vegetarian food served here as the name suggests. Tried chicken handi with rice and it was great. Though little high on oil but then - there is a cheat day.
Outstanding food and tasty thalis both the Surve's special chicken and mutton as well, the solkadi needs improvement though.the soup was liked by all, never tasted such delicious goodness in a wati. The mutton fry and the chicken fry was too good to be true, the chappatis were hot and fluffy, service impeccable, water bottles served on the table was complimentary, we ended taking a parcel for later
On a busy Sunday morning after waiting for almost 45 mins we got in here. This was one my friend recommended and i tried.
MY ORDER
✔️MUTTON MASALA
I expected big pieces of mutton but they were small but it was enough for 2 people also taste was really good.
✔️ JOWARI BHAKRI
Perfect bread with mutton. Bhakris were big but not thick.
✔️ INDRAYANI RICE - Now here's the catch this rice is just for 120(do check menu before ordering) and it comes in a big plate and trust me 2 people literally cannot finish this. So think before you order but do try it. Its little different.
Overall a good place for authentic Maharashtrian NonVeg food pricing is also ok.. Ambience is good but mostly crowded so do plan your visit on weekdays and not on weekends. Let me know how was your experience✌️
One of the best places in Pune to have a delicious and simple meal. Also, if you’re visiting the place for the first time, the staff is kind enough to suggest the best dishes. The Chicken Kharda, Chicken Alani and Chicken Rassa are to die for. The Indrayani rice just melts in your mouth. An every weekend place for me. A place with value for money and amazing food ❤️
You will get best non veg thalis at this place especially rassa is very tasty. Rates are high compared to other restaurants. I was vegetarian and started to eat non veg from last year. In last year, I have tried chicken thali at approximately 30 places and would say this is the best thali so far.

So much has been said in the praise of this amazing restaurant that there is nothing new I am adding here. But can't stop
Had taken a few out station colleagues for this experience and their expressions said it all.
Ordered the staple: chicken special thali. Tried the chicken thecha and solkadhi for the first time. We could order from the nearby hotels for the vegetarian people.
We all were just drooling over the food.
Amazing and quick service.
Sad I have to attend office after this scrumptious meal.
Nice place. The nonveg thali is very good. Especially the mutton curry and bhakris are superb. Ambience is pleasant and clean. The staff is polite.
If you're looking for a pure non veg joint at FC road, you've found the place.
Surve's offers you delectable Chicken and Mutton Thalis and you'll be left amazed.
They cook authentic Maharashtrian thalis with well cooked meat and mouth watering rassa (gravy).
The service is good and the waiters are polite and alert. The place is a bit small and you'll have wait on weekends.
The price maybe a bit high but it's the case with most of the thalis around.
A definite go for Maharashtrian food lovers.
Food - 4.0
Service - 4.0
Ambience - 3.0
Value For Money - 4.0
We tried:
Chicken Alani Fry, Special Chicken Thali, Mutton Kharda, Solkadi
Highs:
- The quantity. Too filling!
- Special Chicken Thali is a must try! The Khima particularly is fantastic!
- Individual attention by the waiter despite the restaurant being bustling with people
- Quick service
Lows:
- Solkadi was too sweet. Didn't feel authentic.
- Very crowded. Have an early meal to avoid the crowd.
This is the destination for pure Maharashtrian non-vegetarian food. The food is well cooked and served hot, right on time!
“Unparalleled!!”
Having tried multiple non-veg Speciality options in Pune, we struck Gold at Surve's @ F.C. Road. They are so focussed on non-vegthat they don't even serve a standalone... (Pic-1) Alni fry Tangdi Chicken was Excellent 😘💗💗💗
A mutton lovers paradise. Come here for their mutton it is spot on always. The advertise themselves as a pure non vegetarian restaurant and are true to their word
Great taste and perfect for the person who love spicy foods...Though the place is pretty small and you may have to wait for your turn on weekends but your time and money will be worth..Must visit place at least once...
Best Place To Eat Mutton Thali And Mutton Kharda Was Best In Class . Will Visit Again For Mutton Kharda😘😋. The Service Is Very Nice and Prompt.
This was my second visit to this place. The very smell of the food when you enter, makes you feel more hungry. And the place doesn’t disappoints. We ordered Chicken handi which was perfectly cooked and tasty. Chicken with Masala and rassa brought separately. And the Indrayani rice with ghee all over it was imply heavenly. The service is amazing and staff is polite. Total value for your money. Will surely visit again.
It is THE destination for Mutton lovers.
Their mutton kharda is great. You can have it with chapati or just eat it with a fork. It has a lot of masala.
If you don't want to order separate dishes, go for the mutton thali without a doubt. Their kheema and mutton sukha is mind blowing. Their rassa is good too.
The mutton bheja is also very well cooked. You must have the solkadi along with this. And finally, order rice. They serve you hot, sticky, indrayani rice which you GO TO HAVE with mutton sukha. It is pure heaven.
The service is great and so is the money value. I cannot wait to try this place again.
Nice experience while eating in surve's, nice place for non-veg food. All dishes are good. Test is also better. Only sitting place is small.
I went for a company team lunch and it was really a awesome food.service was too good and enjoyed alot.Chicken was really tasty specially Starters are too good.
The non-veg food was excellent. All mutton dishes are hot and spicy. Rather than starter go for main course directly. Not a wide range for starter but whatever they have is good. Being a कोल्हापुरी I really liked the taste. The pisces are good.
It's an awesome restaurant!!!! Chicken thali is besssst...I visited here many times and they never fail to amaze me!!! If you're a non-veg lover it's a must a go place!!
Can't wait to drink that Mutton rassa again. It's like just keep drinking that rassa and in between taste some mutton fry. Loved it. Yet it's too expensive from students perspective but the price is worth it.
Ultimate place to have authentic non-vegetarian food in such a busy fancy lane of food options this place do stand special. Humble staff very friendly plus do suggest you all good to your toung options. Food is cooked fresh abd left over is distributed before make new stock. One of my favorite is Chicken Handi servers 4 people and is awesome blend of spices so is the Thali n Solkhadi.👍 Must try this place.
visited here many times.
Mutton thali is realy mouth watering.
Im totally a nonveg lover.
Mutton khima is tasty and also the alni rassa.
Nonveg lover must surely visit here once.
If you like non veg and especially mutton then Surve’s is the place to go. The flavor of the food is only of fresh spices and excellent taste. If you care for food then you have to come here. There is no place like this any where at all. Pls do visit. Fresh and tender.
Mutton Thali, probably the best taste of muttton that I had after my home, perfectly said in its name, it's a pure non veg joint. You will love the variety of food over here.
One of the very few pure nonveg places in Pune. I've been here multiple times and have never been disappointed once.
The ambiance is ok... Not much high profile.
The food is amazing. Chicken thali and chicken handi/rassa are a must try.
If you're looking for something really spicy, treat yourself with chicken thecha/kharda... One of their signature dishes and you'll be surprised. 😉😉
Amazing food mutton sukha ,alni vaati must try ,staff was welcoming also they are the best people for suggestions seeing the number of people you are in a group.
As a nonveg lover, it was only so long I could put off visiting Surve's...
Tucked away in a corner of the busy FC road, Surve's offers a respite from the hustle-bustle of the crowd. The ambience and decor are made in a retro tone, with wooden double doors and wooden tables.
We had ordered Surve's Special Chicken and Mutton thalis.
Each thali comes with a small bowl of alani chicken soup, a small kheema various, a large plate of rassa and chicken/mutton fry depending on what you order.
The taste? Mind-blowing! Chicken and Mutton cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of spice and hotness.
Coming to the cost, it is a bit expensive with the thalis priced at around 500 bucks apiece.
If you ask me, it's worth the price!
I found here Asal puneri pure non veg test .
Really love there serving and kindness of waiters and here ambience doesn't matter much.
Still okok type ambience.
Price is just expensive but worth it.
I try non veg mutton and chicken thali.
Try chicken sukkha.
1. Amazing Quantity of Mutton
2. Balanced spicy Rassa
3. Hot and Moist chapatis right from the pan to the plate
4. less bones and more flesh in mutton
5. no smell of mutton
6. rass had hints of of dry coconut paste
7. Mind blowing RICE.
Yes you read the last point correctly. they server " Indrayani Rice". That has special aroma. Goes amazing with Rasssa.
Pls dont eat beyond your capacity. coz food is so tasty that you end up overeating.
Ultimate place. Loved it.
This is one of the best non vegetarian restaurants around. You'll hardly get better mutton anywhere else.
I had one the best Mutton Kharda here, loved it so much, had to order it again.
Also had mutton handi.
The mutton is really special here, and tender and perfectly cooked. The taste is just superb and you'll never be disappointed. The service is confusing but that doesn't matter to me as long as the food is good.
Who doesn't know this place.
Its a "mejwani" for non vegetarians.Had been here with some friends few months back since they love the food here and yes the place is amazing indeed. The ambiance is so so but the food is mindblowing.
So we had orderd-Mutton masala which was too good and most importantly wasn't unecessarily very spicy or oily either.
Mutton Alani (अळणी) was something I tried for the first time.Turned out to be delectable as well.
The soup could have been better but the pulao was so well prepared that I have no words to express the satiety.
Can't wait to be here again.
Good food...staff is helpful...chicken rassa is very good...must try chicken sukka mutton sukka dish..
Service is prompt and you wont have to ask twice for anything
Had visited this hotel last week after getting multiple recommendations from friends.. I had gone in for an early dinner and I was somewhat disappointed with my meal.. I had ordered Special Mutton Thali and while all the dishes were good to taste, the mutton was a bit undercooked 😪 Also, the staff forgot to serve rice with the Thali.. another disappointment 😐
Verdict - It is place worth going.. It may seem pricy but you would certainly walk out with a full stomach.. Just make sure that everything you order is served to you..
I plan to visit again and see if I have a better experience next time 😃
Wow! So much taste. Had a mutton thali here. Perfectly cooked meat, right amount of spicy..and not just spicy but tasty as well. It kind of stays on your taste buds for long. Thali included all from mutton kheema, mutton suka to mutton curry..also tried alani mutton which is less spicy yet very delicious. The chapati n bhakri dey serve are so soft. Difficult to get a table here specially on weekends. Ambience isn't great, but that's okay to skip for such lovely tasty food. Please please visit for mutton here! Thanks Sameer Agashe for suggesting it.
The chicken is too good to taste. Quantity is good, Quality of chicken they serve is good.
Little expensive but food tastes like home.
Chicken handi has good quantity for 4 people's appetite n rasa is spicy to drink 👍.
Biryani is of different type, they serve white colour pulav rice and gravy separate but it tastes nice.
Fragrance wafting through the air entice you into to the place they call Surve's. A sheer delight for the ones in the forever search of the perfect mutton dish. Look no further, if you are a non veg enthusiast who loves to dig in to mutton Masala, kheema, mutton thecha which had a green base and flavoured with garlic and spices.
The service and the staff are equally hospitable, they exactly know what's on your mind and what you crave for.
I see a lot of reviews mentioning that the place is small, cramped. Believe me, once you get the servings of rassa, mutton Masala, the jowari bhakri and the succulent Indrayani rice, the ambience would be the last thing on your mind. You will walk out, just to come back again.
Waited for an hour to get the table. Still they deserve 5* . Simply the server was helpful and courteous enough to help us out to decide the best of the menu. Nice organized, fast service and authentic service . This is a must go for NV lovers. Mutton Keema, Mutton Masala and Chiken Fry Dry is few of the best. To ad they have few special kinds of Roti. Also Gulab jamun was not too sweet either. It was well balanced and flavoured.
Awesome Pure Non Veg food. Great Service.
Authentic non veg. #Desi #swad #Great Service
#Food #PUNE. Prompt service. Excellent taste at reasonable price. Must visit place for non veg lovers at FC Road.
This was in my list for a while now & yesterday I had the chance to be here.
Ambience: 3.5/5
Ambience is pretty good, not too cosy neither too spacious, just enough space to have your food in peace. Seating is at ground & first floor, I’d prefer to sit on first since the entry to first floor is from the dining area and people are always walking and it’s bit crowded down there.
Service: 4.5/5
Apart from waiting for 15-20 mins for our turn on a Thursday night, service was courteous, they helped us decide what to have as there were too many options and we were spoilt for choice. It hardly took 5-10 mins for us to get our dishes. Anything extra (like chapati, rice etc) didn’t took more than 2-3 minutes.
Choice of food: 3.5/5
Now since the name clearly states “Non-veg” so you are bound to think that you might have lot of options but that wasn’t the case, although the place had almost all the dishes that a normal restaurant would have but still I’d have loved few more options.
Taste buds: 4.5/5
We had a “Special Chicken Thali” and a “Special Mutton Thali”. Food was a little spicy, now let me say that I have spicy food normally so I was fine with the amount of spice, if you are not too much of a spicy food eater, I’d suggest you to talk to them and get yourself a little less spicy food. Meat was cooked to perfection and food tasted just like home, not too many spices. Usually restaurants put in too much of spices to give flavour to meat but these guys have tracked it down to put just the perfect amount of spice.
Price: There were 2 thali between 4 of us and as it was special thali so our bill was around 1100₹ but a normal thali costs anywhere between 200-350 so for a group of 4 you can expect a bill of 900₹-1200₹
Overall 4.5/5
One of the few places to have fantastic non veg with a cost that won’t burn a hole in your pocket.
Good place to eat authentic Maharashtrian food. Great service, friendly staff and good ambience. Reasonable price for food. Ambience can be improved.
I had been to this place for lunch with a friend of mine. Working with a corporate company doesn't allow u to be on a break for more than 45 min . So we wanted the service to be really quick. So as we reached there without wasting anytime we ordered the chicken thali , which included chicken masala, some kheema, some curry and bhakri.. the chicken masala was superb but spicy.. later on we ordered the soup and some starter which was chicken thecha .. it was delicious and worth the price. I thoroughly enjoyed eating at this place .. I would definitely visit this place again sometime. :-)
best non veg thali you can get at this place the taste is amazing & the staff is cooperative too..
do visit to this place with family and friends ...
if you are hardcover non-vegetarian
Just great food and excellent quality with on par service. Come with a bottomless pit for a stomach, coz you just can't stop chomping on the food.
Date: 7-Apr-18
Time: 8 pm
Order: Surve’s Special Mutton thali, mutton thecha, solkadi (2)
Cost: ₹830
Food: I had the mutton thali which I found excellent. I’ve not had a mutton thali from any other place so I can’t compare. It had mutton rassa in a big wati, mutton masala, bhakri, clear mutton soup, mutton keema and indrayani rice. Spicy food! The indrayni rice helped cool me down, I think I ate it almost plain.
The mutton thecha I was super excited about because I love the smell & flavor of green chillis (like in a thecha) but this was more coriander flavored.
Service: It was really good. Although I must add that my 2nd glass of solkadi was my server’s idea not mine, but which I paid for (it’s not a free top-up).
Bonus: The bottle of free mineral water is a lovely touch. The food is stingingly spicy so the water & solkadi were very welcome.
Revisit: Will go back again but to try different things.
Crowd: At 8pm on Saturday night it was 3/4 full but not overly crowded, no waiting crowds outside.
Ambience: From other reviews I expected a total basic no-frills place, was pleasantly surprised.
Addendum: A long walk was required after the meal 😛
Date: 4th April 2018
Occasion: casual visit
Pros:
-------------
1) Food: If you want to eat authentic Maharashtrian Chicken and Mutton dish, this is the place. My orders were: Soup Wati, Mutton Pakoda/Bhaji, Mutton Khima Thali. Quantity as well as quality is "Numero Uno". Taste: "two thumbs up"
2) Staff service: quick "request and response" from the waiters. They would attend you quick, and the orders would come to you "lightning quick". So no need to wait for orders too long. I was done in 45mins, from the time I took a seat into the restaurant. Their secret might be: everything is kept prepared from the beginning-the chicken/mutton, marination and all, so they are able to give quick orders.
3) Since being a popular restaurant, you will find the restaurant lively with people, enjoying it's variety of cuisines.
Cons:
--------------
1) Need to reduce the oil content in the dishes. No doubt the food was tasty, but it should be prepared, with respect to health perspective as well. Not too much oily, but very very tasty.
Overall Experience: A good one. Will visit the restaurant again...to finish all the dishes in it's menu book. 😉
Surve's, its not just about food, its about the whole dining experience. This has been one of the oldest places in Pune which serves pure (Yes, you read it right) Pure non vegetarian food. There is not even a single option for vegetarians on the menu. This itself makes this place unique. Not so easy to spot but very easy to find as everybody knows it. Situated near the famous Chaitanya paratha house and always crowded no matter its a weekday or the weekend.
Ambiance: No non sense place with pure satisfaction of food. Tables are bit smaller and you might feel a bit cramped if there is a larger group. But they have made the chairs comfortable so that once you get full with delicious food, you won't feel uncomfortable :) There is nothing much to talk about the rest of the things as this is typical eatery with tasty food, so don't expect privacy at all. Tables are really closed to each other so one can easily hear your discussions as well. Lights are bright. There is 2 story sitting, ground floor has small tables for 4 people and one can go upstairs if you are more than 4 within the group. They will make some arrangements accordingly.
Service: Good staff. Very friendly, attentive. Best part is the restaurant is almost always running at full capacity but the serving time is extremely good. They do serve you quick and the food served is always hot. They also serve you mineral water free of cost which is a very good thing as well. You also don't have to wait much for chapati or bhakri in between your meals as it is also served in quick amount of time. This is really amazing and lot to learn from these guys about how to run a busy place every single day.
Food: Best part to talk about, I am literally in love with this place. Limited menu but very very tasty and mark my words, if you love Maharashtrian food, you are going to love this place just like I do.
Chicken Handi: Perfectly spiced rassa with thin texture served in a large heavy metal plate, chicken pieces with bone served in a separate plate. Chicken was cooked nicely but the pieces had more bone and less meat in it, not much for my liking but taste wise it was amazing. The highlight of the dish is the rassa and trust me on this, it is one of the best chicken rassa you will ever have in Pune. Perfect combination of chili powder and other spices, not so spicy but very tasty and the taste will literally dance on your tongue, it's really that good. Quantity is also good for 6 people and you can have a full meal on this dish.
Mutton masala: Dish of the day. Simply WOW, mutton was so juicy and cooked so nicely that it was literally coming off bone with just one finger. Juices were maintained while cooking and one can feel it while eating. Masala was nice and thick, aroma of the dish was fantastic, Combination of bhakri and mutton masala cant be ignored and this is a must try dish if you visit here.
Surve's special Mutton thali: This is a little bit costly affair and one can feel its not a value for money as their alacarte menu is so good, one can skip having the thali over here. But again, it's just way too good when it comes to taste, Mutton fry is too good, perfect pieces and tasty. Mutton soup is amazing too. Very thin, mutton stock and mildly spiced, very tasty and gives a good relief on that plate in all spicy menu. Mutton kheema is too oily for my liking and can be avoided. Taste is good but way too oily.
Sol kadhi: Must have, little bit sweet but I like my sol kadhi sweet. Chilled and spicy and sweet, perfect way to serve the sol kadhi in this summer.
Overall, this is a fantastic place and I have already visited here twice. Will be visiting tons of times in near future and if you are a true foodie you should visit here at least once.
Can’t say much about this place, ordered mutton ukad and chicken ukad! Its was all green but not spicy! Kind of appropriate spicy! Very average looking place dhaba look.
One of the best nonveg thalis comes to fc road and is getting crowded from day one itself!! a nice cozy place to sit and enjoy the delicious thalis packed with flavour!
I specifically loved the chicken thali. Really well cooked chicken with the right amount of spice and well balanced masalas give the dish a really great flavour. Also one thali will definitely fill your tummies.
So even if the prices seem a little on the higher side, the quantity is definitely worth it! do visit and have these delicious meals if you are a hardcore nonvegetarian! cheers!
Visited Surve's1st time... its great time wid family... :) fantastic food.. ordered chikn handi, Thecha, Aalani and Bhakri... 😋
#yummyfood #authentic #maharashtrian #nonveg, #pocktfriendly #visitagain...
A great place to enjoy authentic maharashtrian non-veg cuisine. The ambience and sitting area is quite average. As soon as you enter the place a splendid aroma of spices is what strikes you. The staff is very friendly. Special mention to Mr. Sachin for recommending us dishes and his kind and helpful nature. The menu only consists of non-veg dishes, so vegans should avoid this place. Comimg to the food we tried:
- Chicken special thali: This huge thali consisted of chicken fry, chicken rassa (gravy), chicken keema, roti and pulav. All of which was very good. The chicken rassa was a bit watery, but tasted great. The keema was spicy. This thali can be shared among two people if you don't have a very huge appetite.
- Mutton keema: This was phenomenal and a must try. Spicy and flavourful with perfect balance of spices.
- Apart from the pulav given in the thali, Mr. Sachin asked us to try Indrayani rice with the chicken rassa. This rice is known for its stickiness. Goes perfectly with the gravy.
Overall a must visit if you are a non-veg lover. Great place to satisfy your spicy food cravings.
They had multiple dishes on their thali but now they only give one bhaji with gravy and one dry. Taste is too good and service too!!!!!!!!!!
One of the best pure Non veg hotel in pune, mutton rassa thali is best and if you get chicken rassa wati then they will give you an delicious yellow rassa that is way too awesome, an instant happiness treat
Order indrayani rice this will be your perfect dinner
Good place.. love chicken kharda... mutton Thali is also very good... specially food is flavorful and optimum spice level.... must visit place
Undoubtedly the best Non-veg thali place in Pune.
I have been here multiple times and this place has never disappointed me. The food is a 5/5 for sure. The place is a little congested and needs a little bit of cleanliness.
Anything and everything in the menu card is a "must try".
The service is very fast and the staff is welcoming.
Highly recommended and a must visit place for Non-veg thali in Pune !
Cheers!
As a name rightly says its pure nonveg.. To begin with their alni soup is yuuuumm, a perfect appetizer. If one has a good appetite and loves kolhapuri tambda pandhra rassa then their thali is the best option. A must try starter in their menu is the mutton kharda fry which is oily but very tasty. It is advisible to call n book mutton as they are often short of it due to popularity and demand.. It is a perfect place to treat ur taste buds with full calorie maharashtrian mutton and chicken delicacies for someone who is not bothered about the ambience and crowd. The staff is very friendly and makes sure u get good food on time with a smile.
If you are a non veg lover, this place is a must visit. Food is so good that it will make you miss home. The prices are reasonable and the food quality is superb.
Great place for Maharashtrian non-veg food. Staff was polite and approachable. Below are must try dishes:
1. Mutton Special Thali
2. Chicken special thali
3. Chicken and Mutton keema
4. Chicken Kharda.
A must visit non veg joint in pune...specifically non veg as the name suggests it a pure non veg joint....a great place for non veg lovers who opt to try pure Maharashtrian non veg food.....chicken thali rates are bit high but totally worth it.....1 thali is all u need to satisfy ur hunger its thali contains chicken sukha chicken khima and rassa along with 2 bhakris or chapati and a plate of plain or chicken rice......although the chicken was a bit spicy bt taste was really mouth watering......apart from all above things this place servers mineral water to everyone with out any charges......the staff to is very friendly and polite..... a great experience all together....
A must visit Non veg joint , famous for thalis , loved the mutton , mutton Khema , chicken thali , great preparation, must visit ,parking is a Issue .
Great service,no reservations!!!
Loved the masala used in gravy , the bhakhari are served hot . Worth a visit .
Visited FC Road branch. A must visit place for Maharashtrian style non vegetarian food.
Yummy food, Service is good, dont expect much of Ambience. Ordered Chicken Masala. Taste of authentic maharashtrian spices. झणझणीत रस्सा ! Would love to visit again and try other dishes..
Parking - 2W & 4W available on FC Road (or not if you are there at peak hours) there is also a pay and par building nearby
Ambience - nothing great about it but the food more than makes up for it
Food- well if you are a member of 'आखील भारतीय रस्सा वाढ संघटना' you must try this! I have tried almost all thalis, chicken & mutton sukka, boiled egg bhurji, and chicken handi.
Except for mutton sukka everything else was great! I got too many bones and unwanted pieces in mutton sukka and that waa undesirable.
Must try- special chicken thali (good sampler), handi if you are in a group, bhakari and of course indryayani rice.
Staff is courteous, आग्रह करुन खाऊ घालतात!
Overall- great place for non-veg lovers, its all in the name! They can improve a lot on cleanliness though.
On a sunny Sunday we were searching nonveg serving hotel in pune and surve's pure nonveg has fullfilled our carving for food.
Finger licking food and awesome service. Nothing less than homely feeling.
We had chicken rassa, jwari n bajri bhakri, indrayani plain rice and solkadhi.
Worth for the money. Must try.
If you want to eat Maharashrian spicy non-veg, go for Surve's non-veg, you will never be disappointed.
This is chain of restaurant having branches on NH4,Satara, FC road, Viman nagar in Pune and soon to be on east street.
FC road branch is located near Tukaram paduka Chowk near/besides Chaitanya parantha.
Ordered an Egg masala and chicken thali.
Chicken thali comes with dry chicken (3 pcs - one leg ) with curry , Chappati, onion and lemon. Awesome taste, mouth watering in terms of taste and sweat as well ( in real sense as its also a bit spicy preparation so if you are not ready to sweat don'ts try or balance it with ordering solkadhi)
And yes, you can share thali, so a couple with medium diet can have only single thali and share within yourselves.
Thali either comes with Bhakari or Chappati. Nice hot Chappati is really delicious along with curry.
Lastly, they serve either indrayani rice or pulav.
If you are still burning with spices and sweating then go for solkadhi which is a bit sweeter to balance out and yes if solkadhi doesn't cool you enough , then packaged drinking water is complimentary! :)
Egg masala comes with two egg with dry spicy curry preparation. Very tasty.

You must visit this place once! They are proud of their food and it shows in taste and quality of dishes! Staff is also friendly. A bit costly but definitely worth.
Best Chicken thalies in Pune.
Aalni was best ever I had till date.
Neither too much spicy nor too much Pooneri.
It was just perfect. Staff is also very good and prompt in service.
Pure authentic maharashtrian non veg restaurant which can relish your taste buds for non veg food.
I always have chicken masala or chicken thali.
Ambience: 4/5
food quality: 5/5
service: Very quick and polite staff.
Superb food .One must go there and have a perfect authentic Maharashtriran food. The ambience is very good.Even the service was very fast and the server was very courteous person.
After long wait.. Much awaited visit to this place on Sunday afternoon for lunch. Located on busy F C Road, but one can easily find out. Ambiance is average, typical seating arrangements. Heard a lot about this place, strictly pure non-veg. Really interesting.
We wish to taste both Chicken as well as Mutton dishes. Hence ordered Chicken Masala and Mutton Kheema with Bhakri and Chapati.
Chicken Masala: Feels like perfect blend of home made spices in gravy. Chicken pieces were soft and cooked very well. Tasted very yummy and delicious with both Bhakri and Chapati. Decent quantity of Chicken pieces in gravy and sufficient for two. Rating: 4/5
Mutton Kheema: Minced Kheema of Mutton cooked to the perfection. Flavor and spices were superb. Quantity was decent. Rating: 4.5/5
We ordered Indrayani Rice and Solkadi to complete our lunch. Rice was well cooked and has very good aroma. Solkadi was one of the best I have ever tasted.
Overall very good dining experience.
Best place fr maharastrian chicken lovers...
Chiken thali at surve's iz just lovely 😘😘😘 prompt service friendly staff and awesome taste makes it my 1st priority in restaurants😘
Good place for Maharashtrian Food. Ordered Chicken and Mutton thali and both were very good. The chicken and mutton were tender and moist while the spices were perfect too. The place isn't very large but the service was fine
Pure non vegetarian restaurant. Great place for Maharashtrian non vegetarian lovers. Small place and typical restaurant kind ambiance. Food was great. Ordered chicken and mutton thali. Chicken and mutton both were perfectly cooked with desi aromatic smell which makes you more hungry with perfect combination of spices. Service was great too. They really need bigger place with more ventilation . 4 points are just for food.
Good place for lunch n dinner with a prime location..surve's special chicken thali was a great experience.. Fresh chicken n tasty gravy..Must visit
Food is good and the best part is you need not wait for long for a seat there.
Having tried other Maharashtrian thali, I would say it's over priced with the variety that we have.
Must try - mutton thali, chicken thali.
Mutton biryani is served with mutton dalcha which I loved personally.
Awesome food must try if ur in pune. Best places to have food in pune. Chicken thali is a must try. Don't miss the rice u wont get sufficed having a single plate
Congratulations Surve's for winning well deserved TIMES FOOD AWARD.
Ammezing experience and awesome non vegiterian food. Spl.mutton thali, indrani rice and karda curry is must
A place for authentic delicious and tasty Maharashtra Non vegetarian dishes only. They prepare no nonsense food, rich in flavours and fully satisfying. The place is generally crowded in evening but still, it doesn't affect their service and way of preparation of food.
Costs have increased but the taste is the same amazing feeling of meat !! They should start keeping papad as it goes very well with the sort of food they serve the mutton soup is very delicious
One of the authentic food to try out at Surve's, loved the taste. Also the homemade solkadhi is great in taste. Truly satisfying your taste buds.
Awesome place for non veg lovers. Best mutton & bhakri in town. Prefer the food at FC road branch than Viman Nagar. Can avoid the chicken biryani though.
Worst ever place to visit. You won't get pieces you like and asked for even if we are paying for it..I have visited this place 4-5 times,I am a leg pieces lover, every time I ask for waiters he says yes sir we make sure at least one will come in it but every time we didn't get it and when asking they have the same reply just half an hour before it finished you came late, whether ist day lunch or dinner time.today also I visited with two of my friends same thing happened being outspoke guy I mentioned that while he is serving, while asking he replied the same you are late .as I mentioned it happens always managerial guy came into picture and what he said was pathetic,he asked waiters to leave us and don't listen what we were mentioning.that was totally unexpected.once or twice same thing can happen but 4-5 time I don't think so specially in such a big name restaurant. And after today's unprofessional behavior I made my mind never ever to visit this place.I know you people don't need us(customers).but I would say you people don't deserve to be in food and hospitality industry. And will ask you all foodies not to visit such unprofessional place.there are many good places in pune there name may not be big like this messed up place but they give you quality service and food in a respectable manner.wish a best luck surve's
Date:30/6/2019
I ordered chicken keema and indrayani rice and boild chicken soup which they give complimentary in hotel.but this time they asked for extra money for the same.I think they don't have good sense of customer services attitude.they are back to there rude way of behaviour and I said give it I will pay them again they asked delivery boy to call and then rate was higher this time . Really cheap way of serving.
That's not the end I ordered big bowl of keema but got small bowl.BIG NO for surves now onwards.and I will suggest there are many good restaurant in pune who serve good nonveg with very respectful attitude.
Amazing and the best place to eat chicken in Pune. Tastes and feels like homemade Chicken made in perfect indian masala flavours. The service was good and the wait staff is kind :)
What I tried :
Chicken Alani Fry (Best, 9/10)
Chicken Pakoda (Little oily but tasty, 8/10)
Ajinkya Salunke
Surve's is a great place to go for one of those meat craving days. The special mutton thali which you get here is out of this world. The mutton sukka is also amazing. The masala they use is very tasty but it's not that spicy.
But I have to say, their Mutton Kharda is a #MustHave. That is, if you like the idea of perfect, tender mutton pieces submerged in the super yum green chilli thecha (which isn't as spicy as it sounds, promise).
The ambience isn't worth a mention. The service is prompt. Also, there aren't any options for vegetarians as the name suggests. But if you're looking for a good maharashtrian mutton thali, surve's is the place to go.
Are you Maharashtrian?/ Want to taste some delicious maharashtrian style non veg...then this place is perfect for you
We were bored of having the western food and the punjabi dishesh all the time we hit restaurants.
Hence we visited this restaunat and ordered different dishesh instead of ordering thali(if you have big appetite and hunger then go for thali its best option) we ordered different dishesh..
Chicken thecha is the best dish for me....chicken sukha....rassa wati(curry bowl) is just awesome.
At the end we had rice (indrayani) the best rice that goes very well with non veg dishesh...go ahead read this and hit the place... And dont forget to try bhakri with this food....
Parking: 1/5 need to park on fc road....and on weekends its headache if you are going by car
Ambience: 3.5/5
Food 5/5
Service 4/5 very humble and nice ppl...
Great food must visit at least once if you are in Pune near Shivajinagar. Worth visiting this non-veg place. Tried Chicken Hundi and the taste was really awesome.
Authenticity is a rarity. Mutton Thecha won my heart and Kheema was exceptional with Jowar roti. Lovely set of people guiding you to the making the right choices. Speaking in marathi brings you closer to the food. Dig in your fingers enjoy Kheema, Kaleji, Rice and Tambda Rassa. Soul Kadhi is just bloddy good.
One of the best places to find awesome marathi style chicken and mutton. Quick service, Parking can be a problem but worth it. One should surely try and also ask them to do "Kaala" for you.
This restaurant will give you an experience of what to expect in Maharashtrian Non Veg homemade thali. Here is my individual rating for different categories:
Service - 9/10
Ambience - 8/10
Value for money - 7/10
Taste - 9/10
Overall experience - 8/10
My advise would be to visit this restaurant on a weekday instead of weekend. On a weekend you will have really long waiting, could be even 60-90 minutes. The food is worth the wait :-).
One of the good places in pune which serves marathi style chicken and mutton thali..
Both thali were good. Also ordered chicken pakoda, we expected it to be like a pakoda but it was dipped in egg and was fried. It was not so tender and was too oily..
Solkadi was not so great.
According to pune it is not an expensive restaurant. One can just give it a try.
Totally in love with the quality of food and the quality of service they provide you. The staff is always on toes and there is no delay of any sort. The food tastes amazing. Really rich food and worth the prices!!
Best place to have home made authentic maharastrian nonveg. Try the butter chicken here, worth drooling for. Their chapatis are quite huge and the food quantity is good enough for four people. They serve chicken soup as complimentary start. I also tried the chicken starter which had the green traditionally gravy. You can also have solkadhi here.
Althoigh situated on the FC Road, a few steps from Tukaram Paduka Chowk, and a few steps from the majestic Starbucks Coffee, finding this place could be a little difficult as it is hidden under the big banner of Chaitanya Paranthas!
Must Try:
Mutton Kheema Fry
Chicken Thetcha
Chicken/Mutton Thali
The Mutton Preparations are delicious here!
It's really very good option for nonveg foodies.. taste wise n quality wise it's really awesome..Ordered chicken thali in that chicken was really good, n rice was superb. One of frnd odered chicken biryani disappointed by biryani because it's only boiled chicken in rice without spices. rest was really nice.. must go.👌👌👍
Heard a lot about place. So went there . Little difficult to find . It’s exactly before Chaitanya parathas in same lane . Quite a good place but definitely not 4.3
Ambience is ok . No music . Staff was courteous . Famous for their thalis . They were costly . For two it will cost around 600 . Nice seating . Food was good . But too much oil . really too much oil . But didn’t had any adverse impact on health so must be using good and fresh oil every time . Can try there thalis , soup , chicken masala . Biryani is North Indian and not Hyderabadi . So no masala in biryani . For biryani quantity was good . Very limited menu . Good non veg hotel . One of best thalis in Pune .
Guys, this one is the best restaurant in pune when it comes to mutton. A lot of mutton varities here to try.
Do try the mutton alani fry which just melts once to start eating it. A perfect for people who want the less spicy starters. Do try the yellow tasty delicious heathy mutton soup.
All i could say is ur trip to pune is incomplete unless u stop by at Surve's FC road.
Although u may find it tough to locate but u can ask anyone where is chaitanya parantha. It's adjacent to it
The food was awesome. I have tried the there spl thali and regular thali. The both were stunning. And the service is also good. Will Like to visit the place again.
Excellent service!! Good food!!
If you love non veg you should definitely try this pure nonveg place. The dishes we tried were chicken alani fry, special chicken thali, mutton thali and egg thali, we liked every bit of it. The best thing I liked was the their service and the hospitality of the staff.
The place itself is not very big, but food compensates it for sure :)
If you are a lover of authentic Indian style chicken then this the place in pune. After eating here I missed my childhood memories of homemade chicken curry. We had chicken and egg thank as my partner is only eggtarian. In Thai you have chicken fry rassa & kheema along with chapati and rice. And the taste of chicken fry is so fabulous with all the fat melted out and have all the flavors of dry spices. I only tasted the egg curry bcoz I was busy eating my chicken fry but the rassa in every thali is same I think and it taste pretty yummlicious.
Surve's Pure Non-Veg
🎪 Surve's Pure Non-Veg
📍 6, Chanakyapuri, Tukaram Paduka Chowk, FC Road, Pune.
Surve's is always my first preference when I feel like eating Maharashtrian style non-veg food. Normally I goto FC Road branch. The ambience is okayish. Service is good. Food is just WOW.
● Soup (Rs. 75) - It is Yellow coloured Alani Rassa. It tasted like homemade mutton soup. It's my favourite. Best way to start your mutton meal. Also, good for kids. Highly Recommended.
● Mutton Ukad (Rs. 250) - It is soft and tender mutton pieces come with semi yellow coloured gravy. Mutton was properly cooked and very tender. It just melted in my mouth. Good option for kids too. Not spicy at all. Highly Recommended.
● Surve's Special Mutton Thali (Rs. 500) -
It Includes:
1. Chapati - They do have a choice of Chapati & Bhakri. Chapati
was big and thin. Loved it with Mutton.
2. Mutton Fry.
3. Mutton Soup.
4. Mutton Khima.
5. Mutton Rassa.
All the items in the thali were yummy. Not very spicy like other Non-Veg thali places in Pune. Highly Recommended.
RATING - 4 / 5 [ Food - 3/3, Service - ½ / 1, Ambience - ½ /1 ]
Hearty, hardcore and unpretentious. This is how local cuisine should be enjoyed, the ambience feels like a community hall where really attentive waiters come and serve you with affection.I am going there again!
P.S. Donot miss the special mutton thali!!!
Loved the food here! Mutton Kheema Fry is must try! As against the other pompous non-veg places which serve tasteless food in the name of spicy, this place has amazing flavouring and aroma in its dishes.
Missed a full 5 because of the ambience and lighting.
Been to this place after seeing the rating on Zomato and must say was not at all disappointed.
For starters ordered the Mutton masala fry and chicken theecha which both was delicious.
For the main course ordered for a Special Chicken Thali. To begin with they serve chicken broth and in the thali there is chicken fry, chicken curry and chicken kheema served with chappati and rice.
Service is excellent. Even after visiting there on a Sunday afternoon the staff is very attentive in spite of the rush.
Ambience is not bad. Being a really small place they have tried to give their best.
We went with a group of friends who are visiting from Bangalore and wanted to experience authentic Maharashtrian food, and they rated this meal as the meal of the trip. Great food. We unfortunately missed out on the mutton as we went really late, but every chicken dish was amazing. Special mention goes to Rakesh, who served us, recommended some amazing dishes and took very good care of us.
Well this place is little difficult to locate and would recommend one should only visit here for good food.
I would have rated this 5 .
But most of the sea food item on the menu was not available .
Tried chicken alani fry & chiken karad thecha ... both of dishes were delicious .
Perfectly cooked soft roti .
Only thing is they should look after hygiene @ there place .
Will defiantly visit again ...
One of the best non veg authentic food in town no nonsense place to have great hygienic food... With great service.. We ordered thali and it was spectacular
Surves

Survey's being the most famous joint for non veg lovers, finally pulls me towards their kitchen !!

✏️ Mutton Thecha
✏️ Chicken Thecha
✏️ Kheema mutton fry
✏️ Mutton Biryani
✏️ Survey's special Mutton Thali
The food was served in no time , didn't had to wait long. Coming to food, mutton Thecha was super rich in flavours , kheema mutton fry was super tasty will bundle of flavours in it. Chicken was prity nicely cooked and blended with layers of masalas. Mutton biryani was as good as others. Last but not the least the Mutton thali for which the joint is famous. Enriching flavours , maslas were cooked to perfection , mutton and chicken were super delicious.
It was a great experience to cherish, such an amazing evening @ survey's ...recommended to all !! 👌
In all I would like to rate

सातारी चिकन थाळी खायची तर फक्त सुर्वेच. We had chicken thali and chicken ukad fry. Thali was really good. One should try their ukad fry. It was awesome. Ambience was simple and good. You will find photos of forts hanging on wall. Old styled door and Wooden chair sitting. Staff was helpful and service was prompt.
A restaurant serving authentic maharashtrian cuisine, the food is prepared by authentic maharashtrian spices, here we order chicken handi, the handi was enough in quantity to satisfy your stomach, the gravy of the handi was spicy with perfect thickness as required, the chicken pieces were well cooked and the pieces were big in size to give you a perfect big bite of chicken, the chicken was served in a different way, the service was quick and accurate, this place is must visit if you are craving for authentic maharashtrian cuisine and must visit place for non veg lovers
Been here thrice in a span of 2 months. It's great. You get a very good quality non-veg Maharashtrian food here. The chicken tasted good all the three times I went here. It's a must go place atleast once. Also it's very much within budget considering it's quality.
Wow. Just wow.
The place is off the main road so easy to miss.
Very obvious what their priorities and focus is....On the quality of the food.place is clean without unnecessary time wasted on the ambiance.
Food was superb...True Maratha non-veg. Ordered mutton thali, mutton pakoda, chicken handi with bhakri s.
They are very clear...It's a non-veg place so no dals either.
Everything was outstanding. Even the plain rice... indrayani rice is so flavourful you can eat it just by itself.
Service also outstanding...Very friendly and helpful. Awesome place.
Totally 10/10
I would give this place seven stars if it was possible. Absolutely outstanding food. Undoubtedly the best in Pune. No vegetarian options other than the rice and bhakri. But even the rice is so flavorful and tasty that even vegetarians could have a good meal.
Absolutely splendid taste and perfect epitome for variety is the spice of life.Do check it out.Does justice to its name of pure nonveg......
Dinner at Surve’s. Special Mutton Thali and Chicken Thali. Perfectly cooked meat and perfectly spiced gravies. As usual a lovely (and heavy) dinner at Surve’s. Finished with heavenly pulav rice, which I love.
This restaurant has a simple and pretty ambience, they serve authentic maharashtrian cuisine, at my first visit to this place i ordered chicken handi in which the chicken pieces were well cooked and big in size, the gravy was thick and spicy we can call it a perfect maharashtrian gravy, at my second visit i ordered chicken kharda and chicken alani fry, the chicken kharda was well spiced but the only drawback was that it was having a too strong coriander flavor in it, the chicken alani fry was lightly spiced gravy which was again amazing, one must definitely go their bhakri their bhakri is soft and easy to swallow. I strongly recommend to have chicken handi and chicken alani fry at this place. A must visit if you want to enjoy authentic maharashtrian cuisune and some good chicken
A place to be recommended for non-vegetarian lovers !
Bet tasty Chicken and Mutton thali.
Service was fast and good.
Spicy but tasty food.
Overall I thought the place was worth the money.
visiting soon to try other dishes :)
No words to express the quality and authentic of this place...a true Marathi food joint for the pakka nin vegetarian...try out the alni fry and karda fry...
This place is a heaven for non-veg food lovers. Food is spicy but has a taste. Chicken Alni Fry is a 'must try' starter. I would suggest to save your appetite for non-veg thali as they do not compromise on quantity . Service is fast . Staff members helps you to decide your order if you do not opt for Thali. Also they ask suggestions for improvements .
I usually don't like to wait outside hotel for the tables to be vacant. But my husband , who's been here twice, assured me that wait is worth . I realized that only when they started serving delicious food in our plates. :)
Simply non-veg and you can’t beat the taste at Surve and the simplicity
They just got everything just right for a afternoon maharashtrian meal with a nice pan followed by sisesta
One cannot have a better life than this .....just add a beer before you enter to complete your heavenly walk
Foood is tooo good , all dishes , do torder left he waiters bring what they like they know the quality and the quantity needed they on their own will optimise
Just brilliant food! Made my day. We shared a special chicken thali and tried the bhakari as well. The rassa was zazzy. The chicken was tender and the thick gravey it was covered in was just as smacking. Must visit for meat lovers.
Aj ka din Surve's Pure Non Veg ke naam.
Surve's Pure Non Veg..Check ☑
Surve's for lunch- Small place with people having amazing big heart.
Served us with satisfying food prompt perfect and petbhar.
We ordered Chicken Handi and Bhakari.
The food was serverd in say 5 min. Piping hot Rassa and chicken masala was served separately.
Had lunch in no time.
Maharashtrian food. Limited menu.
Service was mind blowing..10/10 who serverd us this afternoon.
Go visit and come home satisfied with delicious taste.
I was pleasantly surprised by this small traditional restaurant tucked away in a quite street amidst the chaos of F.C. road. In a line - simple and clean place with quintessential Maratha food and top notch hospitality. On a crowded Friday evening, I was greeted with a warm smile and some delicious, hot mutton. Their mutton thali is to die for. Succulent pieces of red meat with some spicy red rassa takes you back to Kolhapurs famous Opal Hotel. Good food, better service and value for money food. Definitely recommended for those mutton cravings.
Me and my daughter went to Surve's this Sunday. After a bit of waiting and savouring the wafts proceeding from within we were given a table. We ordered their special mutton thali. It consisted of one small vati of white soup, one small vati of mutton kheema, one large vati of red rassa, one plate of mutton fry ,two chapati and two types of rice ,pulav rice of basmati and spices and fragrant Indrayani rice.
Each and every item was extremely flavourful, just like homemade, individually crafted almost, and adequately oily.
The first morsel of mutton fry made my day.All the items were a bit hot and spicy but we liked them a lot.The mutton, chapatis, rice and everything else was extremely fresh.Mutton was not overly tender or rubbery, just the right texture to our liking. Also one bottle of mineral water is given. The price of the thali is Rs.500/ per person.
We were surprised to receive a lot of extras from the waiterlike keema vati, rassa and white rassa.
Come Thursday we both again craved for Surve's and we went at night for dinner.Again we ordered mutton thali. The quality, freshness, taste were consistent,in,fact better.
They served us a pandhra rassa as soup and a small paraatful Thaaker rassa as soup before the thali. This Thaaker rassa is divine.
The mutton fry was different than Sunday one but equally or rather more delicious.
The chappatis are served hot just as the rice.
Half a point is for ambience.
If you like extremely flavourful, spicy, freshly made nonveg Marathi food from the Satara region, look no further. This is the best place for Marathi nonveg food.I would like to be surprised though, any suggestions pl.??

Surve's located near chaitanya paratha on fc road.... It is great place for nonvegeterian people. They serve best chicken nd mutton thali..... Sea foods are only 2 or 3 in menu..... Staff is quite helpful..... Place is always crowded as they serve good food..... If u are nonveg lovers then must visit Surve's they won't disappoint you.
Surve's Pure Non-Veg is a small joint known for its value-for-money non-vegetarian food located on FC Road adjacent to China Garden and Chaitanya Parathas. Inspite of being a no-frills restaurant, it’s clean and comfortable.
The staff was helpful and guided us through the menu.
We were served complementary soup in a small bowl before our meal. The tasty soup was not clear soup but thick, creamy and slightly spicy.
We ordered chicken thecha (kharda), chicken handi, chapatis, bhakris and rice.
Chicken Thecha: This is also available with mutton. This dish is very spicy with coarsely ground thecha (green chilli) tossed with the meat and might slightly scorch your mouth and give your head a numbing sensation for a while, but you definitely will love it. It isn't dry but served with thecha in the form of gravy.
Chicken Handi (full): The spicy masala chicken peices were served in a plate and the light orange rassa (watery gravy) was served separately in a handi. It looked fiery but was a flavourful explosion without the expected heat.
The bhakris and chapatis were fresh, thin and soft.
It’s a completely non-vegetarian Maharashtrian restaurant and there is nothing vegetarian on the menu. 😁😃 They mainly serve chicken and mutton; sea food dishes are extremely less (2-3 dishes). Every dish is spiced and cooked differently with large quantity of servings and strong aromas.
The service staff are really helpful, warm and attentive. The service is fast and efficient.
Food: 4.5/5
Ambience: 3.5/5
Service: 4.5/5
A place to be recommended for non-veg lovers!! One might have to wait before the turn to sit but once the order gets served, the taste just dissolve the lack of ambient facilities. Boiled egg bhurji is worth a try.. there are not many gravy options, however the available options do not disappoint!
Best non veg restaurant!!!!Good taste!!The food was so delicious and the service is a top notch, will recommend to try if you are a non vegetarian fan
Kudos!!
Food ( 4.5 )

What one promised is what one gets. A above avarage taste @ prime location.
People especially not from Maharashtra should try this place , to get familiarise with this food. Generally you won't get this food anywhere else like Punjabi / Udipi etc in other part of India.
I love how they've named it as PURE NONVEG! A quaint authentic maharashtrian cuisine joint tucked in a corner! But the food was extremely delicious! Mutton lovers paradise! I literally licked my fingers and relished the spicy gravy and the chicken starter!
Ideal Sunday lunch 😀
Delicious food and excellent service. In the beginning, after seeing the small size resto from outside, I wasn't quite sure of it. But after eating the food... Both chicken and mutton, I have not stopped myself from going there again. Have been to this restaurant again and again...so many times.
They serve pure maharashtrain cuisine, people interested in spicy and rich food should visit Surve's.
The reason i rated them 4.5 and not 5 is that in sea food they only serve sukka bombil fry.... Thats it.
Also they don't serve starters.😟 Their stress is on thali system... Which is to die for and I guess probably it's their speciality and because of the customers demand.
Now let's talk about service. Not only do they serve quickly and are immediately available when needed, but also the staff is very well behaved and courteous. I have a kid ..an infant who is constantly running everywhere and doesn't sit in one place. Obviously that makes it difficult for us to eat peacefully. But this staff here, has everytime helped me by taking care of my kid and keeping him engaged while my husband and I enjoy our meal. I have seen this for the first time and very few restaurants do that. Thank you so much guys for that 😀 that's very appreciative and thoughtful from you.
I definitely recommend this restaurant. 👍👌
This place is for all the non veg lover's.If you like authentic chicken with rassa and Bhakri you will love this place.
The guy Raju he is a charm over there. He suggested us what to eat.
The food was so delicious and yummy I can't resist myself going again and again.
Thank you Surve's 😍😍
Well as we settled on the table and saw the menu we were confused on what to order and what to not?
We ordered chicken masala in starter and called this another guy called RahulRaj to inquire abt other items bt he understood that we dun knw abt wat to order and we r confused, he told us that I m taking back this chicken masala and will get you food of his choice... He gave us chicken handi and chicken kharda with bhakhari... The taste was awesome and it was the best ever chicken we had till now... Lastly he suggested about indrayani rice which just tasted awesome with chicken rassa... A must go place if you love chicken... Special thanks to RahulRaj for suggesting and serving us awesome food.
Authentic maharstrain food, very friendly staff!
Had been to Surve last week, extremely crowded. Not for the good ambience or privacy seekers. This is for those who don't mind the noise and hustle bustle as long as their food is on spot!
We had to wait an hour. A ton of crowd had come since shravan had just ended. The ppl waited patiently and it was intimidating and curious to see so many ppl waiting for food here during my first visit.
We were ushered upstairs and got a table. The tables are stuck to each other and space is def a constraint. My hopes were firmly stuck at having good food at least.
We ordered a mutton special thali and chicken special thali and a kheema thali. It was delicious. A little spicy , but really well cooked. Each and every thing was good and couldn't fault it at all ! Afterwards we ordered rice, at the friendly waiters insistance and I was amazed at how wonderful it was. We ordered both the ones that were suggested and they were both excellent! I know it's a non veg joint but I would recommend ppl to come here just for the rice. We ended up taking a rice parcel for 'laters'
Only downside is the ambience and noise. For ppl who want tasty food, search no more.
Today I made it !!! It was in list since long ... The place might be hard to find sorrounded by so many eatiers on busy FC Road. The ambiance is very simple the food is too. They have very limited menu and taste is bang on. The gravies were extra oily but non veg food is all about to that. The pulaw was really disappointing but overall great taste... Surely visiting soon to try more dishes :)
The food tastes awesome. Fast service. Quite a lot of Variety in menu in mutton, chicken and fish. A lot of waiting on weekends. Must visit if you are a hardcore non-vegetarian.
This is the place to be for all the non veg lovers. If you are in Pune and if you love non-veg food you have to visit this place definitely. Mutton dishes are awesome, bhakri just tastes the way it has to be. A must visit.
Amazing chicken thali. For the first time in my life i have loved Indrayani rice becasue the rassa along with it is just simply superb. have been craving for more ever since.
Serves amazing chicken and mutton. I just hope they add a little variety to their menu. Otherwise the thali is delicious and filling. A bit expensive though! The place is near chaitanya paraths it might be a little inconvient to locate it.
Very tasty chicken thali, first time ever I liked kheema, service with courtesy and smile. Served nice hot bhakri, for my palate bit spicy but tasty food.
Parking is a challenge entry to eatery is shoddy.
It was a fantastic place. Service was fast and good.
We ordered the chicken masala and two roti and chicken rassa.
The masala was tasty but oily. Chicken rassa was very good and the roti were very big.
Overall I thought the place was worth the money
I like the restaurants who have a short menu but whatever they are serving is great. This restaurant fits my criteria. I visited Surve's first time this week and ordered a chicken thali, it was delicious. No fuss simple preparation but great taste. Though I am based out of Mumbai but will never miss visiting Surv'e whenever I am in Pune. Keep the great taste going, authentic food.
What a wonderful place to have Pure Maharashtrian Non veg!! The place i visited twice last with two different group of friends, everyone simply loved this joint. Nice ambiance, good family restaurant. The service is equally great, the recommendations from staff will never let you down. You should start with Aalni Mutton, must for meat lovers. For main course every thing is great. Make sure keep enough space in your stomach at the end for their special Indrayani rice with Daalcha.
Absolute value for money...
Seen this place many times while visiting chaitanya paratha's. It's name caught my attention. One of the very few restaurant dedicated to non-veg food. Visited here last month with some friends. We ordered Surve's special chicken thali's for all of us. Average ambiance, good service, food is slightly on expensive side, but it tasted greatt..simply delicious..loved it😋😋. Going to visit here soon.
The mutton kheema thali is to die for! Slightly on the expensive side. But worth every single paisa I feel. The service is pretty nice and prompt too. Highly recommended.
If you want to see waiting in afternoon then this is the place. The food is really good. The kheema wati is awesome. It's our afternoon mess now. It's on fc road. The interior Is ok but food quality is really very good. Most recommended for Maharashtrian non veg.

The one in love of Non-Veg food has to visit this place at least once.
Their outlet at FC Road is good.
The Western Maharashtrian NonVeg food is really tasty.
They Thali system too. Best thing is that they allow the sharing of Thali.
Ohh yeah. .This is the place for non vegetarians only
They have very different taste. N it is so delicious. Ambience is good. And also service is also good.
Unfortunately couldn't eat from here as the direction given in Zomato was wrong. Was craving for good non veg food in Pune and walked for 2 KMs just to find a dead end according to the location in Zomato. Request you to please correct/update.
Thank you.

This place is a bit difficult to find out.. it's not on the main road. But inside a building. The ambience is a bit dark and gloomy with dim lights. To go upstairs, the stairs are quite narrow. I wonder how they bring up all the food.. only 1 person can use it at a time.
We had ordered mutton masala. It was Good. There was a lot of oil though. It is spicy but not too much. The mutton was well cooked and wasn't chewy..
Then we ordered mutton fry from the starters. It was disappointing.. because they had removed the pieces from mutton masala and given it as mutton fry.. same taste same appearance..
The place is okay to visit once in a blue moon. Nothing out of the blue..
Surve's Pure Non-veg goes by it's name as it wants to project. Specialist in their chicken and mutton dishes. I liked this place because it doesn't lure you with grandiosity but delivers the best and top notch from their limited promise.
Food 5/5:
We had the Surve's special chicken thali and mutton thali. Comes with a kheema, rassa, chicken masala and jowar bhakri. The taste is exceptional. Softy soft bhakri. Well done chicken. Superb rassa...
Ambience 3/5:
It's a no frills place. Please don't have high hopes as you walk in. You could expect college friends, office office colleagues on your next table. Decent. They could do a bit more on the cleanliness.
Price and proportion 3.5/5:
Slightly over priced given the kind of set up they have. Portions are fair for a person per thali.
Service 5/5:
Great service even in busy hours. No complaints.
Easily the best Non Veg I've had in Pune in the last 2 months and at a justified price. The staff are actually kind and care about the service. The Manager (cashier) was very kind as he helped me with a food bill that was misplaced by me. I'm very much in love with the place. The thali is is wonderful . The restaurant is a bit too crowded, expected after such a lovely standard is kept.
Decent one!!!
Tried their Mutton thali, taste is very good.
Service/Hospitality- 5/5
Ambience 3.5/5
Taste- 4/5
VFM - 3/5
OVERALL 4/5
A must try..
This is a nice place to eat chicken, mutton soup and pulav/biryani rice. Chapati and bhakri are equally good.
Mutton is too spicy and spoils the original inherent taste of mutton.
In chicken, chicken fry is best.
Limited drinks, was surprised that they don't have solkadhi on menu.
I would not order thali as I like particular dishes.
Best Maharashtrian Non Veg. Bad luck for veggies. No veg food available 😂. They can have food in Chaitanya. 🍗🦆🐔🐣🐤🦐🐠🐟🐡🐬🦈🐳🐋🐊🐐🐏🐑
If you find of gavran non-vegetarian food then this one of the best place to check in.
Be ready for very oily ,spicy but mouth watering food.
You get option of poli and bhakti and my suggestion would be to go for the indraynee rice at end.
Though the place is crowded but you do not have to wait for long. Do not focus on the ambience much and concentrate on the mouth watering non vegeterian food they serve. Perfect place for larger group (5-6 people)
Prompt service and friendly staff..
A must try joint on FC road
Tried Chicken Thali ... must try food !! U can neglect the ambience and waiting period over food taste !! Keep it up Team...will keep visiting ...
Yeah! I know this is a pure non veg restaurant and still I am reviewing it 😜
Tried mutton for the first time and mutton sukha was super awesome! Bhakari, Gawaran Chicken Rassa and smell of an Indrayani rice ( for those who don't know- it's a sticky rice!) - simply heaven!
Staff is awesome!! They can even crush Bhakari for you! (कुस्करून पण देतात, if asked)
Rated 4.0 because it's too spicy for many people and absolutely zero choice for Veg people who likes to hang out with non veg lovers!
I have been here today for first time with family and friends... Food is superb... Yummy chicken fry...n chicken n mutton kharda was classic....
Will like to visit again n again... Recommend place for those who like Maharashtrian taste...
Nice joint...hope to visit very soon...
Heaven for non veg lover's
- Mutton fry and Chicken fry is classic.
- Do not forget to try Mutton or Chicken Kharda a good innovative way of cooking in harimirch ka techa.
- A bit of changes/improvement in gravy is required.
Overall superb, good work team Surve
Another of the Pure Non veg restaurants and another with authentic Maharashtrian taste.
Must order- chicken special thali and Mutton special thali.
I have never had such amazing homely chicken ever before in Pune. There are places which are hyped to be serving good chicken but this is the true non veg place as it a PURE NON VEG restaurant. I ordered their Special Chicken Thali and everything was delicious but the pulav in the thali is not what you'll expect it to be after eating the chicken. This is a must must must visit if you ever want to have good chicken in Pune. Staff is also nice. Finally had good chicken so happy.
If you are a meat lover then this is the place to have your meals. This place serves maharashtrian type of food. Mutton Special Thali is highly recommended. This Thali has sukka mutton, mutton kheema, curry and bhakri or chapati followed by indrayani rice. Even the masala omelette is delicious. If you are a weight watcher, try the mutton Alani with mutton soup.
Went here on a weekend and it was obvious the waiting for Maharashtrian non veg thalis was on! We got our seats in around 10 mins. Had their amazing mutton kheema thali and special chicken thali. Both were really mind blowing , they know how to cook the best chicken/mutton in a assal Maharashtrian way! Chicken thali had chicken kheema, chicken masala and rassa ,bhakri or chapati, rice. It was more than fulfilling enough😍+ value for money!! Please do visit here once and you would crave for more and more next tym you think of having non veg thalis! Best place to enjoy a thali and as it's their tagline "PURE NONVEG"
Best one I've had in a long long time!!
This rating is for the good food and awssuuum service we got at this restaurant....
We landed up at Surve's for a late Sunday night dinner....had to wait fir 40 mins but it was totally worth it...gud mutton thali ...awsum mutton thecha and kheema ghotala and chickn kheema👌👌👌👌and superrrrrrr soft and hot biiig chapattis
The best part of the foodie xperience here was the fantastic service...our server Ramesh saw to it that we sampled the different dishes....served us with a bright smile even in the chaos tht was thr becoz it was sooo crowded.....
...all masalas are made in house...taste was simplyyyyy fabulous
Thank you so much for the lovely food..hope 2 visit again soon☺☺thank u Ramesh....keep smilin
Awesome. Loved it. Chicken rassa and pulao just tasted so awesome from chicken thali. I am definitely going to visit this place often in future.
3/3/2018 Third visit today and this place never disappoints on its food or hospitality. See earlier review below

A great place for great unpretentious comfort food once you have managed to manoeuver yourself for a parking spot on Ferguson College road. The restaurant is located in the bylane leading to Chaitanya Veg Parathas.
The food - A tad spicy, sure to open your taste buds. The flavors speak for themselves, and the food is cooked to perfection. Recommended is the Thali's and the mutton alini. The hot bajra bhakri which accompany the Thalis are a plus.
The staff is very hospitable and prompt.
The best mutton thali I have ever had, and mind you I am from lucknow!
Mutton thali gets you small portions of mutton keema and mutton soup (both of them are divine. Though they offer limited quantity, I asked the server for extras and he happily served).
You also get one mutton rassa and sookha mutton. Rassa is passable as it was too oily. Sookha Mutton was again mind blowing. You also get roti and pulao which is nothing to talk about.
All in all, food is excellent , service is commendable , wouldn't miss the food whenever I am in pune
I zeroed in on this restaurant based on reviews published in Zomato during my current trip to Pune. The service was quick and the mutton alni fry was delectable. It had less spiciness but was finger-licking good. The chicken thali was great too. Overall, a must visit place for non veg food lovers (menu limited to chicken and mutton only). Authentic Maharashtrian non veg food at premium prices. Shall definitely visit again.
Nice place for non vegetarien. Food was amazing. Quality quantity of food is good. It is Pocket friendly restaurant. I like mutton fry n mutton kheema most.
Restaurant do not have delivery option
Heaven for non vegetarians. Whenever one has a non veg craving, this is the place to visit The chicken dishes are superb and love the prices too.
Authentic Maharashtraian food. I liked the taste..... Bit expensive but worth it, you will get good quantity, service and amazing quality...
This is the place you need to visit if you want to try out a no-fuss and satisfying meal. As the name suggests, it is purely non-veg (no veg items available. We reached this place around 10:45 pm on a Saturday night and even till we left it was bustling with people, untill they had to shut down the shutters.
The staff is very friendly and will help you with appropriate suggestions. The service is quick and food is just perfectly amazing. I highly recommend their Chicken Thecha and please go for the Indrayani rice as part of your thali. Also, this place is very easy on your pockets. Surve's might look like a small joint, but it doesn't disappoint when it comes to the quality of the food.
Surves although located on the busy FC Road is not quite obvious unless one looks for. Average ambience with two tier seating system this restaurant is packed with patrons . Non veg food is the only option available in a variety of dishes specialising in meat than fish.
We tried alni soup for starters which I recommend...a stew from chicken or mutton. We requested mutton mince with fry chicken to accompany with chapati and bhakri. The pulao was not mughlai but very tasty. Over all , food and service was great. A tad could be improved on ambience, lighting etc.
Revisit: Yes
Amazing food...
one of the best chicken thali available in pune currently...alani chicken/mutton is also too good...
also tried chicken handi on one of my visits. we get the chicken pieces separate and the gravy separate. it was really tasty.
price is ok for the quantity of food that we get...definitely a must visit place...
food 4.5
value for money 4
overall 4.5
Today i visited Surve's .. very tasty food. we had ordered Chicken fry in starters section which was cooked very tender, it came with some gravy to it which was full of flavor which went perfect with chicken pieces. for main course we ordered Chicken Biryani Pulav . it was white in color and was very well cooked in ground spices, which came along with yellow colored liquids in bowls, both the liquids were nicely mingling with spices added to it. its a worth try :)
one of pune's best mutton joints. special mutton thali and biryani are must try. typical maharashtrian place. chicken quality is also top notch
I like eating non veg maharashtrian thalis a lot. But in Surve's I had thali once and the food felt very heavy. Rassa and suka chiken tasted good but to oily and heavy as I'm used to eating home-like non veg thalis. But After going there with some of my friends they suggested me to try Alni mutton and that was amazing.
They also serve good plane indrayani rice which tasts very good with mutton rassa. It is definitely a good pleace too visit for mutton lovers. Their menu is quite long so that everyone geta what they are looking for.
Mixed feelings, I have heard a lot about the place (best non veg Maharashtrian food) but food was very average plus we didn't get to try the full plate (thali) as we reached towards the end of the lunch time
Curry was awesome but chicken masala was ok
Had the pleasure to dine here with my friends. Truly an awesome place and the "food" . Just no words . Couldn't ask for any thing more . Everything was perfect..
This surely is a non-vegetarians paradise!!!
Their mutton dishes are just amazing, mouth watering and delicious...
Have come here for lunch and dinner and the food is just marvelous..
Recommended.
A genuine non Veg place... The place that prides itself in all mutton dishes... Surve is sure shot delight . Any of you all who are mutton fans this is surely a must visit..
Visited with very high expectations as rated 4+. But I would rate between 3.5 to 4. Service is quick. quantity and quality is also good but taste of Mutton dishes are Average. After trying some of top rated Maharashtrian restaurants, Surve's dishes tasted very light, I mean if you are expecting taste that you want to remember for long, then it is not the place. But they serve fresh well cooked red meat for sure. We expect every restaurant serving Maharashtrian non vegetarian food is incomplete without Chaas or sol-kadi. Sadly, they don't have anything except cold drink and water in Beverages.
Maharashtrian mutton served best. Superb food, gavran taste & very humble staff. Food is to die for. It's a must must must visit. For 3 people: 6 bhakari's & half mutton handi - enough to get you high on food. You need a sound sleep after Surve's special handi & toop lavleli garam bhakari. Cheers team Surve's! We're coming back again.. very soon!
One of the best Maharastrain places I have been to. Their thalis and their pulao is just wow. The most important part is their prices are within the reach of common man and people do not have to burn a hole in their pocket. The pulao is light and tasty, decent amount of meat, served with rassa and some kind of dal(I do not know what it is called), all of which are mouth watering.

Visited after a movie on a Saturday evening.. 9:30 pm.. Got a table after just 10 mins of waiting.. Ordered 1 Surve special Mutton thali and 1 Chicken masala.
Coming to the thali.. Kheema, Rassa and Bhakri were too good.. Exceptional.. Rassa in fact was the best I ve had.
Mutton fry was also good but would have liked more if it was a bit less spicy. Same is true about Chicken masala.
Had more expectations from the clear Mutton soup.. I think the turmeric level in it could be slightly reduced ... Also it could be served without the cooked onion in it.. Just filtering required!
Overall very happy.. Would definitely visit again!
Amazing food I must say. The balance of flavors of the curry is too good. This place made me proud of Indian food. We always think of western cuisine better than us but we should not forget the greatness we have in our own cuisine ever.
Mouth watering is the word. Amazing chicken.A must visit place for a foodie. Don't forget to have indrayani rice with sajuk toop. Worth every penny this place is.
Definitely one of the best mutton Thali you can get in pune. This place is small and the service is quick. The waiters are polite and the surprising thing is they don't charge you for bottled water. surprising since most of the restaurants these days try to sell bottled water more than their food. Also the food prices written in the menu are including taxes.
As mentioned above, the mutton Thali is one of the best. Mutton pieces were tender and soft and cooked perfectly.

The food was awesome. MUTTON Rassa was good. Must try.
And their service was so homely. Raj Vaibhav who served us made us feel like home. Superb service. Keep it up. :)
This place feels like home. It's the place where you can eat typical maharashtrian non veg. I've been here so many times that have tried almost every dish in their menucard. Go for chicken alani, it's awesome.
Staff is very courteous and polite. Quantity is more than enough and that too at affordable prices.
I must mention that, even though this restaurant is pure nonveg, they've maintained proper hygiene and cleanliness.
Visit this place when you miss homemade non veg. And you'll never be disappointed.
Couldn't give anything below 5 for this restaurant that gives you fingerlicking food.
I think it's always crowded, so be patient. You might will have to wait.
Free soup while you wait for food. Basically stock prepared with amazing taste.
Tried mutton kadhai, which was delicious.
Staff is super courteous and helpful. They make sure to speak with you and understand your requirements. Don't remember what was the last time server asked me how was the food and suggested what to order. He apologized several time for waiting time.
Surve's has finger licking thali's. The food is really worth what you are paying for. The chicken thali is awesome!!. The ambiance is nice. This place has the best non-veg maharashtrian food. The service is good.
Food 5/5

Perfect place to eat maharashtrian non veg food. Service is prompt, staff is friendly and ambience is also good. Food is best. Pretty much authentic taste. It's actually pocket friendly as well, compared to some other restaurants which serve maharashtrian cuisine. Must visit for a non veg lover.
The food is excellent. The ambience could be better, especially the chattering of waiters is disturbing. Price seems quite acceptable and is not exorbitant.
If you want to just have homely style chicken/mutton, visit this place without a second thought.. In pune, I had chicken thali at many places but i found the best here..
Surve's
Another non veg thali joint.
Serves mouth watering Thali's.
Had chicken thali and it was amazing.
This place always have waiting.

Nice place for non vegetarians , chicken sukka is awsome.
If you are chicken lover then pls try once..
Surve's !! Like a second home to me !
Service , Ambience , Staff - Amazing !!
Food - Beyond amazing !!
Most favourite are Special chicken and mutton thali , mutton pakodas ❤️
Finally a pure non veg restaurant !! Excellent food, awesome taste and pocket friendly. I tried here Non Veg Surve's thali. Mutton Keema, Chicken Keema, chicken rassa all were absolutely tasty and authentic. Staff was very friendly. Ambiance is ok but you will forgot everything after taking a bite of food. This is actually the best place in pune I've ever had chicken and mutton dishes. Quite a limited menu but its worth to go and try it.

Was here once, excellent taste, nice ambience. The plain rice that they serve is marvelous. Just chicken needs to be cooked more, it was chewy when I had, won't say cooked to perfection.
This was the first time I with my office friends went their after seeing the review on zomato and also was the first time I tried maharastrian non-veg. Their chicken thali is to die for. The chicken soup is the best I've ever tasted. Quality of food is great and service is pretty quick. If you crave for typical maharashtrian chicken, this place is sure to satisfy your taste buds. The rice, chapati/bhakri combination with chicken gravy is awesome. I would recommend all to try this and especially those people who have not tried maharastrian food.
Highly recommended for all those who have been on search of good, 'simple', and authentic non-veg restaurant.
This is the best place in pune to have chiken and mutton thali...awsom taste...good ambience...love the food..alot...home made taste.....love the food @FC road, pune
Food is awesome. Worth to money. I hv not seen upfloor or family section. But at least coor provision shoud be there for cool atmosphere.
But i went there for nonvej food; and i got very nice test and healthy food.
Keep it up सुर्वे'ज. 😋
Good quality mutton is used for thalis.. Rassa here is awesome. Bhakris need to improve as these days they are using a mix of rice flour and jowar flour for the Bhakris for getting them white coloured. Dalacha quality has been deteriorated these days. Initially it was heavenly.. The mutton pieces in pulav were bland in taste. No proper salt and flavour of any marination. Mutton was not properly cooked. Will be visiting again for rassa and fry mutton in thali. Mineral water they make compulsion to buy is injustice with the customers.. its a basic need by the restaurant to serve filtered water.
Food is excellent, it hits ur taste buds at the exact points. Really enjoyed the food..had been here with my family and everyone enjoyed their meals.
This place is a gem of a find. Tucked in the small lanes of the busy FC road of Pune, right next to Chaitanya's paranthas is this simple and tasty non-veg place. I was looking for a place to munch on some exquisite Maharashtrian cuisine and this place did not disappoint. I was visiting Pune for a day and though I have had bad experiences with overtly popular rated places before, this place was wonderful non-affected by the ratings and reviews of the world.
What I had & I loved:
Surve's Special Mutton Thaali
Bombil Chatani (Sukka)
The mutton soup was ok and going by the reviews, it is nothing to go gaga about. Also, the oil in the food can be considerably reduced. I felt my Bombil Chatani had too much of it.
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. It was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We highly recommend it. We especially enjoyed mutton dalcha and chicken alani fry...The chef nailed it perfectly. Amazing food and memorable experience.@madhav surve
I've been here a lot of times. Love the mutton and chicken thali here. Its tasty, filling and sumptuous. The meat is well cooked and fresh. Never had any complaint about the food or the quantity or quality of food here.
Bhakari was fresh and hot and so was the chapati. The food is filling and makes my heart content.
Will try the Al la carte here sometime. The biryani though is very good as well.
Must try from the menu:
Thali: both mutton and chicken
Biryani: I've tried chicken
Sukka mutton
Rassa

A sure visit here if you love meat.
Choice of right day sometime is very important for visiting any restaurant. I did so here. Visited on Monday when most of the people refrain from having non-veg food and guess what did not have to wait a minute for table and had more than one person attending to me.
So after browsing the menu for about 2-3 minutes I zeroed down on the Mutton Thali (the regular one) as I did not have the appetite for the kheema wati and soup, which were additional in a special one.
I have to say the mutton I had here was the tender most I have had so far in Pune (or anywhere else in fact). The dish consisted a good mix of all variety of parts (cuts). A small wati of rassa was there to accompany the mutton dish. This rassa appeared to be too thin but was packed with flavor and taste.
Must say one visit isn't enough to fully do justice and enjoy the savoriness of the food here.
Highly recommended for all those who have been on an endless search of good, 'simple', non-veg restaurant in the vicinity.
Me and my friend were running low on cash and had a huge craving for some nonveg yumminess ! She suggested Surve's. I'd completely forgotten about this little wonder. My regular place during my college time. I'm glad to see that they've updated their decor and maintained their food standards. Wonderful service, scrumptious food and light on the pocket as well. What more can one ask for !
After been recommended to this place by a friend and of course reading reviews, we decided to visit this place yesterday.
Located on FC road amongst tons of restaurant this simple Maharastraian place has something very unique to offer which per me is the taste!!!
Extremely simple, homemade taste and non spicy!!!
I really liked the way they explained in their menu card on how the chicken rasa should be had with jawar bhakri!!
Having nonveg frequently will keep u away from B12 deficiency and of course they have mentioned jyada khaooge toh motte ho jaooge also 😂😂
About decor , it is pretty simple and u might not have that fine kinda experience .. but their food overrules everything which is what matters!!
Service is promptttttt!! But be prepared to wait for longer time!!! 🙏🏻🍻
Their mutton thali is to die for. The mutton soup is the best I've ever tasted. Quality of food is great and service is pretty quick. If you crave for typical maharashtrian mutton, this place is sure to satisfy your taste buds.
Yesterday night we ordered chicken handi and Bhakri. The taste was awesome. Chicken was cooked properly. Jwari Bhakri was crispy and chicken rassa was made with authentic Maharashtrian taste. Really enjoyed the dinner.
Must visit place ..

I tried Mutton Alani Fry, Mutton Masala, Chapati, Chicken Thali , Indrayani Rice.
Been here around 3-4 times, best place for non veg lovers in Pune (Maharashtrian style). Rates are reasonable too.
Excellent Food !!
This place surely grabs highest rating for the taste and quality of food.
If you ever wish to enjoy typical authentic non veg local meat curry and rice, then this place should surely help you.
The staff is extremely co-operative. Rakesh who is at the counter is v well equipped with the info and guides you well on the order.
Biryani is something to die for. I hav never had such a wonderful biryani which is not at all oily and colorful but so rich in taste and cooked to perfection.
Bhakri and chapatis will surely be softer than the ones you make at home.
Mutton soup is so basic yet delightful. My 2yr old baby relished it swiftly with plain rice.
All in all a lovely place with warm hearted staff !!
Surely a must vist and zomato has a very accurate rating.
Keep it up guys !!
The best mutton curry i've had. Very friendly staff and awesome food. The thecha here is too good. Perfectly cooked with the right amount of green chilly. Very nice experience. We usually go here once in 5 weeks. :)
One word for this place: Just awesome. I always wanted to try maharashtrian non-veg cuisine and this was the perfect place. Chicken rassa.. dry chicken... was just great... Dont go by reviews just visit and experience yourself...
Surve's Pure Non-Veg
Great place to have Satara style non veg( not exactly ) . Its located exactly beside chaitanya paratha. A small joint with better food.
Unfortunately pandra rassa is missing which makes this place incomplete. Also taste can be much better.
Very delightful place, the amount of varieties of Currys is really charming, this is heaven for non vegetarians, fish, prawns, chicken, mutton you name it, must visit
One of the best places to have satari style food in pune. Not very oily or extremely spicy. Well balanced juicy mutton and cooked to perfection. The mutton pieces are decent and not like pea size you get mostly in pune. And last but not least the servers are courteous and super efficient
Got to know about this place through Zomato.
Ambience: Comfortable modest seating
Service: Must say the service is real quick and friendly. You can be rest assured not to wait too long if crowded
Location: FC road, need not say more
Menu coverage: Pure non veg as the name suggests. Also they have limited it to chicken, mutton and dry fish hence precise.
And finally the food: I am regular visitor to off beat places who serve authentic Maharashtrian non veg food. This place does have a unique taste of rassa of its own than the regular Tambada rassa mostly at Kolhapuri joints. The fry chicken in the thali is however not all that great. It looks like it is boiled first to soften it and then fried. The taste is also ordinary and bland. The rice in the thali was pulav rice and real tasty and complemented the rassa.
Price: 300 bucks for regular chicken thali is over priced for the content as many similar hotels offer a richer thali at about 250 to 280.
Recommendation: If you are near Shivajinagar and don't want to dive deep in the Peth area or far kothrud this could be your stop gap for your rassa craving.
****Surve's pure non veg****
We ordered surve's spl mutton thali 350 INR consists of mutton soup (alani paani),kheema and surve's spl Chicken thali 250 INR
Mineral water 20 INR
Impressed with quantity.
But I felt food wasn't that up to the mark.
It was lacking spice level, totally mild taste.
Salt was also less in the mutton fry.
Pulav (Rice) was oily and didn't had any flavour.
May be it was not my day.
Surve's, not my plate of food.
Food 2.5/5

Will have one more visit here in future just to reload my experience.

#NoHardFeelings
The name of the hotel has a nice ring to it, especially the end. We had ordered 2 chicken Thalis which consisted of bhakaris, dry chicken, chicken gravy and egg. The food was absolutely sumptuous. Chicken was perfectly cooked, the food was spicy. The staff was prompt and the hotel had a Maharashtrian-style vibe to it. My only negative point of the place was that I had gone with my friend whose surname is also surve😂, but we didn't get a discount.
Best of non veg food had in pune
Must try to all non veg lovers and to surprise is that this place is at FC road
Vegetarians need not worry as if u are with people eating non veg at surves you can order veg food from Chaitanya parathas
Well after hearing a lot about this place.. finally got myself there.. I am a fan of maharashtrian non veg chicken and mutton thalis.. and I have tried most of the restaurants serving the same in Pune..but SURVE'S is without a doubt tastiest of all..
I had ordered sp chicken thali it was spicy as I like it.. rassa is amazing in taste.. and their rice is also a must have!! Indrayani rice which they serve along thali was just wow...
I m soon coming there to try mutton thali..
In love with this place...
Just a suggestion if they could also serve Bajari chi Bhakari(बाजरी भाकरी) it will be good..
Must visit plc for all who loves maharashtrian tasting non veg food..
Waiting for decent Maharashtrian Non Veg Thali restaurant on FC Rd area & ended all search here. This place serves authentic Maharashtrian non veg food.
Started with Chicken Ukad, Boiled Chicken in yellow stock with same homely taste. For main dish, ordered Chicken Thali which included perfectly cooked soft & fresh meat.Jawar Bhakris (Flat Bread) were perfect & soft. Tambda Rassa (Red curry) was excellent with good consistancy.Pandhara Rassa (White curry) was not included in the Thali, would be better to include in the dish.
Overall good experience.

I had the Normal Chicken Thali. The food was Awesome i mean to say really, have tried many maharashtrian restraunts but this was one of the classic ones. I felt the thali was slightly expensive in my point of view. But if you get such good food money is not a parameter.
Must visit place guys.😘👌 For those who are non-veg lovers. Beautifully prepared food, tasty rassa and todu chicken. I loved the ambiance and service too.👌👌 I have heard that this is a joint from Satara, and seriously the taste is from these only. Also our FC / JM needed such an amazing non-veg. Place. Do visit guys, enjoy.😇
It's a bit hard to find, but the place is very neat and classy. Service here was really good. They had knowledge of all the items and suggested well as to what would go nice with what. They were friendly and courteous. Coming to the food, it was my first time trying maharashtrian cuisine and I loved it. The chicken handi with chapati went well. But chicken thecha just killed it. The chicken was really tender and cooked really well. Chapatis were soft and was served real hot. I liked this place a lot. Will definitely visit again to try some mutton.
Amazing quality of food & quick service. Had the Mutton Kheema (one of the best ones I've had) and Chapati (which was very soft). Great place to go with an empty stomach. Keep up the good work 👍🏽
I had the chicken thali, which included roti, rice, fry chicken, gravy and an egg.very good meal,a little too oily though.
Ultimate place for non veg lovers in Marathi style. Every dish is just awesome. Especially the mutton once. Not much crowded place but surely the best non veg I had in Pune. Staff is very kind and attentive. Over all very good experience. Though last time when visited, the taste is not up to the par maybe because of working day. Else everything is good. Planning to visit this place soon.
Hello, if you are fond of good non veg food, this is the right place for you. The food here is absolutely free of any color and chemicals, that gives it a nice natural taste. Even though the place is small, after starting your meal... you mind will set to concentrate on food only. Nice service, the people are polite and will always give you the correct suggestions.
I was waiting for such a restaurant on FC road since a long time. Awesome food, great ambiance, you will always find people waiting outside. Tried Mutton Thali and Chicken Thali both. Perfectly cooked meat and really tasty rassa. I am visiting this place again and again and again.. :)
Yesterday I visited this hotel with my family.
Service is amazingly prompt.
Fingerlickin food...yummy....sply kheema thali.....too good.
They provide bisleri water bottle & surpisingly they don't charge for it.
One thing they can do is....put bigger and bolder board on F.C. road so that it is easily visible .
One of the best non-vegetarian food I have had in Pune. Very authentic Maharashtrian food indeed.
Will definitely visit again.
Ulani mutton was ultimate.
Writing a review after ages. Surve's pure non veg it is. This place is located exactly beside Chaitanya Paratha on F. C Road. Has nice sitting area downstairs as well as upstairs with decent decor. This place serves authentic Maharashtrian food with chicken and mutton delicacies. I ordered chicken kharda for starters. It was chicken marinated in green chilly chutney with well cooked chicken. For the main course I had chicken masala and chicken fry masala along with chapatis and bhakri. The bhakris were soft and good. Rates are reasonable too and not too costly. Definitely a must try to go with your family as well as with non veg lovers
If you are looking for authentic non-veg restaurant(and if tired of eating generic punjabi food) this is the BEST place for you. Pure non-veg delicacies served in Pure Maharashtrian style which for sure will tickle your taste buds. The home made taste of non-veg dishes is the USP of the place. Looking forward to visit again.
Upside- food quality and authentic non-veg Maharastrian cuisine
Downside- service, unhygienic waiters, ambience and was way too noisy..
Overall- good food however my view is that it's kind off overated..
A paradise for Nonveg lovers. Typical traditional marathi cuisines (more of vidarbha flavours n less of kolhapuri masala). Must try mutton alni fry which has a mild yet flavoursome stock. Also, the chicken pulav biryani is a break from the quintessential Hyderabadi or Lucknowi biryani, with minimal spices. It is served with dalcha ( marathi spiced tangy dal) and rassa ( curry) which adds to the experience!
Do ensure u don't have a vegetarian friend as there is practically nothing for vegetarians.
With great restaurant comes great taste .
recently on my visit to Pune planned to come here for dinner as heard a lot about this newly opened place in pune who serves great Maharashtrain Food and thalis.
On their staffs recommendation we ordered their Special Mutton thali which included Mutton kheema , Mutton dry , Mutton rassa , pandra rasssa .
Was dying thru hunger and couldnot wait for our thali to come.
The first bite of mutton with their soft chapatis told me the story of their restaurant .
Amazed with such a great taste served in Pune in Satara style.
Wow is the only word when it comes to Surves .
Became a fan of this place and would highly recommend to try out their authentic Thalis served with great service .
Specially i liked their way of service on which the wait staffs comes at ur table and suggests you not to have much of soup or rasssa at start so that we dont end up with full stomach . The other best thing which i came across was the style of their wait staff taking order and recommending what to eat first and later.
Keep going good and surely visit again and again on my visit to Pune.
All that I can say is I simply love the Mutton thali here .... I stay in Mumbai and make it a point to travel to pune once in two months just to eat the thali here..... 👍🏻👍🏻Do I need to write anything more
And now it’s official that Surve is the best place for lovers of Gud non vegetarian food . Congratulations to the team of Surve for this award .... very well deserved
A humble ambience and delicious food. Their Chicken thaali is close to my grandmom's version of yum chicken. The rassa is unlimited, while the sukka is limited. The portion of the sukka chicken has increased with their recent increase in price and is accompanied by gravy. Earlier I used to find the bigger chicken pieces undercooked and no changes despite the complaint I had made. But this time it was well cooked, juicy, flavorful. Their chapati is soft, the bhakari is good too. This one time when I had gone to have their egg biryani(which was very tasty, too), they had given me the dalcha for trial. They offer two types of rice- the pulav or indrayani. Personally, the pulav rice is good for the rassa and the indrayani for dalcha. I was living in a P.G. at the moment, first bite of it and I felt home. There is something subtlely beautiful about it. But the best part of the thaali is the rassa, I cannot stop having it. It is not very spicy, and is packed with flavors. The warmth of it soothes the soul and takes you someplace else. Yes, that good! The waiters are warm and polite. I earlier had a complain about them giving packaged water which they charged for, but I guess they serve it for free now, which is good. All in all, my favorite place for chicken thaali.
Great food, really quick and friendly service and easy on your wallet. Kheema chapati is to die for. Non-vegetarians should definitely check this place out!
Good food, really quick service, and very reasonable on the pocket. This restaurant is one of those pocket friendly restaurants. Non vegetarian peeps must try it once.
"PURE NON VEG!"
One of the best things that can be added to the name of a restaurant! Tried the Surves Special Chicken Thali today, great taste as usual but prefer their mutton kheema much more as it's much spicer. :)
Another thing worth mentioning is their excellent service and staff. Food and billing, everything was served in less than five minutes. A must visit when you're super hungry and not willing to wait the treditional 20 mins!
My office group of 5 non veg lovers went to Surve's Pure Non veg couple of days ago.
We ordered chicken handy and bhakari.
We really enjoyed the dish.
The taste was excellent.
I recommend authentic maharashtrian nonveg food lovers to try food at this restaurant.
Lovely food and value for money... Have tried so many Kolhapuri thali but this was one of the best .. proper amount and masala only disheartening was card swipe machine was not working.. otherwise all good...
I am a south Indian to begin with and also THE KING OF FOODIES! But I never really was inclined towards trying Maharashtrian cuisine.
It was only when a friend of mine took me to SURVE'S that I came to know of this delightfully mouthwatering delicious non veg eatery that definitely turned my world upside down the moment I had the first morsel of food in my mouth. The food, the aroma lingering, the smiling faces that serve the food and especially the pace with which they work.!
AMAZING!
I really got no favorites since I have tried and loved everything on the menu. It's pure bliss having it! I live in camp, but I don't miss my weekends and Wednesdays here. What's funny is that the aroma and food has tempted even my girlfriend to have non veg despite her being a vegetarian!
Totally loveeeeeeeeeeeee the place!!
Would recommend every non vegetarian to try it..
Easily one of the best places to eat Mutton Handi or Mutton thali in town!! This place definitely surprises you with the quality and rush!! A treat for mutton lovers.
I had visited the home branch of Survez at Satara wherein I had Spl Mutton Thali and then the owner there told me about their Pune Franchisee. Since then I have been a regular visitor here. They serve awesome food , with authentic western Maharashtra cuisine. For now they serve Sheep Mutton but plan to serve Goat Meat at the new planned Viman nagar outlet. I have tried Chicken Thali, Chicken Masala, Chicken Curry, Special Alani Soup, Chicken Ukkad. You will experience a majestic taste of spices. Chapati they serve is simply awesome. The staff is soft spoken and very friendly.
Don't miss out on the Indrayani Rice which tastes best with Rassa.
Heavenly food and extremely helpful staff..
No words to express my feelings for the food. Its very difficult to impress a hardcore non veg foody like me. But they have stand beyond my expectations…!
The staff was suggestive, prompt and compassionate.
Located besides the famous Chaitanya paratha near FC college, it is easy to find.
The ambience is basic but clean.
Bottled water is provided at MRP.
As their name suggests, they are a pure non vegetarian place. Vegetarian friends are provided the menu from adjacent Chaitanya paratha.
We tried both chicken and mutton thali which were very good. The meat was nice and tender. The spices were balanced. The bhakri and chapatis were nice too. Person who served us was very welcoming. Cards are accepted.
After many months of searching for good quality Mutton gravy, my search ended here, successfully.
Ordered Mutton masaala and bajra roti. Service time is just amazing and they way food was served with utmost care and personal touch added extra flavor to it.
Mutton was very soft and perfectly cooked. Though the gravy was bit on the oily side which can be further improved. Bajra rotis were perfect and 2-3 enough to fill your stomach anytime.
This is a must visit place for any non-vegetarian lover. Especially if u happen to relish Mutton.
For nonveg there is only one place surves. Mutton thali they served in thali was very tasty. Plain rice was served with ghee filled in it..
Ranking is 100 out of 100..
एक नंबर!!!
Had a super awesome experience in this restaurant.
Mutton fry, aalni soup and kheema... everything was fantastic. I would especially thank the waiter Shubham who was really polite and introduced me to a different style of having mutton rassa. I would really recommend to try the rassa they serve in a saucer type plate and yes you have to drink it like a tea, that's what Shubham said to me. I generally like to have Chapati in thali but here I tried bhakri and it was mind blowing. So I would say, stop reading this review and rush to the restaurant immediately.
Date of visit - November 25, 2016.
Perfection. In the ongoing quest for authentic non veg eateries, this was one of the highs!
Simple ambiance and prompt smiling service. The most important was the quality and taste of food. We ordered the alni fry first. This was a revelation. The chicken pieces dipped in gravy! Promising start.
This was followed up by Surves special mutton thali. Words fail me in describing this. The mutton fry, mutton rassa and alni rassa. The clear winner however was the kheema. Let me clarify that I've never been particularly impressed by this dish. But here it made me go weak in the knees. Could not have asked for more. Left the place with a smile which only a good meal can bring!
My suggestion, go here for the authentic mutton dishes and especially the kheema.
Tucked away on FC road amidst quite a few eating joints is Surve's......a place where you go to get a true Maharashtra village food experience.....from the bhakri to the rassa, the thalis are are must have....the servers are so enthusiastic even at 11.30 at night, there's a spring in their step.....Must be because they serve you as if you were a guest at their house...the stock soup is simply mind blowing. Big thumbs up!!!!
Best Best Best non-veg ever had....the authentic way of cooking, which is same from past few years and taste didnt changed...On top of it the service over here is feels like home away from home....All of the preparations are too good and not only tasty but also not so costly.
Everyone (nonveg eaters) should visit here atleast once....m sure you will visit always here.
Phew! What a meal. This place is called 'pure Non-veg' for a reason! They have chicken n mutton thali. If you manage to get their on time you can take your pick. If you land closer to the shut down time then very likely that chicken would be over. The thali has curry chappattis n rice. If you have a strong stomach then go for it. The food is yummy but floating in oil. Just the place where you'd dig your hands n go finger licking :P
Best non veg ever had in pune. Taste is good, mutton pieces were very tender hence well cooked. Thali restaurant so, no doubt about service. sufficient quantity. Recommended!!

Couldn't wait to try this place after Diwali so ordered some mutton handi along with chicken biryani and mutton biryani. The mutton handi was amazing slurpy on every morsel and spicy. Exactly homely taste with right amount of spices gone in, I can't stop raving about it . The gravy was mind blowing. Coming to the biryani the biryanis are more or less pulavs served with Thalis ,, ( white rice with mutton pieces). Not to my taste . I like my masaledar biryani . Do next time I am gonna stick to the gravies and masalas and not order the biryani ( there were ample pieces of chicken and mutton in the biryani )
Incredibly simple and delicious mutton and chicken. I get cravings every time I see someone post a pic here. Love this place. A testament to how you can make simple, affordable and incredible food.
Been there twice and both visits were delightful. A perfect place for authentic maharashtrian non veg food with an extremely homely service and extremely fresh meat, which is their strict standard. All in all, a surve's is a great place to satiate your meat cravings at affordable rates, with extremely homely service!
Best Mutton Thali ever.
A big shout to all foodies to try Surve's Pure Non-veg. This gem is hidden at Tukaram Paduka Chowk right next to Chaitanya in Pune. Each preparation is made in Saajuk Toop (Pure Ghee). You will be overwhelmed with the hospitality of the staff who will tell you the right way to enjoy the rassa and bhakri. If going for Chapati please try the kadak ones.
#Hungryformore #comingbackaoon.
Thank you Gaurav Duvedi for a wonderful recommendation
After having Mutton Thali for lunch somewhere else today my taste buds were not that satisfied and was asking for more so my hunt began for another joint which serves the same. After some research found out this restaurant called SURVE'S PURE NON-VEG which serves supposed to be the best #muttonthali in the Deccan area. So i headed towards the restaurant for dinner and again had The Special Mutton Thali which consisted of #muttonfry #aalni #rassawati #kheemawati #bhakri #indriyanirice #onions #lemon #deccan #fcroad #foodict
Yummy yummy 😋 Authentic Satara style recipes! Spicy 🌶 chicken 🍗 rassa 😍
The food was simply outstanding in taste !
I would recommend them highly, and would definitely visit them again !

One of the best places to have maharashtrian non-veg food in pune. The specialty about this place is that without making the food too hot or pungent the subtle taste of the masala and spices is simply awesome. All dishes are superb but some need special mention and are a must try : khima, mutton ukad, mutton curry and indrani rice.
I would highly recommend this place!!!😊
What an awesome Mutton Thali 😄
Just loved their Mutton Thali. Had gone there with very high expectations as one of my puneri colleague had suggested the place to me .I must say it satisfied my taste buds which were waiting to have authentic maharastrian non veg food. Their jower bhakri was so soft and their mutton kheema was just perfect to have with it.
At the end we ordered for extra rice and with that they gave us a small katori of dal which was the best dal I have had till date.
The waiters there are soo good they suggest what to order and will even explain to you how it should be eaten.
The chicken alni which I had was a very simple dish but very flavourful.
Loved it !!!!!
Ghar ka khana...Gharchya sarkhay jevan...love the taste of food and everyone including waiter was good at their service. Just continue with same taste. All the best.
I ate egg thali here. The taste was okay. Loved bhakri and egg curry. The quantity was sufficient. I liked the cleanliness maintained at the premises.
There's no better place for a wholesome non bed experience than Surve's. Sukha mutton we ordered and it was the best mutton I had in a long time. Fresh, nicely cooked and sumptuous. Every bite was an experience.
Perfect, value for money and authentic Maharshtrian non veg food. Must try place. Amazing food. Do visit . Gr 8 food. Perfect place to hang out
Just amazing. Casual dining, home like feeling as simple as it can get. Authentic Maratha non veg. The mutton masala kills it. The only problem is parking on FC road, a parking space would do wonders.
NOTICE: Vegetarians keep yourself away.
Well, this restaurant must one of its kind in Pune. PURE NON-VEGEATARIAN
The food at this restaurant is amazing. They serve you authentic Maharashtraian style non-veg food. Off all the places where I have eaten maharashtrain style mutton, the one I was served here was the best.
The speciality of this restaurant is, that they not only serve you tasty and sumptuous non-veg food but the meat theu serve is freshly cut. They claim that the meat left over in the morning is not used in the evening.
My favourite dishes here, which I recommend, are Chicken Masala, Kheema Chapati and the Alni Soup Wati.
This place can proves that how food can make your mood awesome :)
Amazing non veg,Mouthwatering Chicken pulav.
Thali's are okay.
Food 4/5
Service 4/5
Ambience 4/5
If you want to try nice and authentic Maharashtrian non-veg .. You should give it a shot! Taste is awesomely good.. Not hot but good spicy! Service is good.. Thumbs up!
Ohh my gwaaaad!!! This place.. I'm a fan of maharashtrian non Veg food and this place does justice to that.. The thalis here may be chicken or mutton are the best.. Amazing.. Keep it up guys. Must must must visit.
The Amazing place i found in Pune to have typical Maharashtrian Non Veg.... If ur hardcore non-vegetarian... then u must visit this place...
Place is small so u might need to wait...
Must have Surve's Special Chicken n Mutton Thali...
The place is actually from satara, I have been there and this branch on FC road. The restaurant is kind of one of my favorite for chicken. Food is spicy (Kolhapuri), and food quality is great. Staff over there is friendly. The also serve mutton rassa (kind of a soup) at the start. It's a must visit place if you love kolhapuri chicken and mutton!
This place earlier belonged to Chaitanya parathas as per my memory. We went there to have some good non veg food & we were treated very well in terms of their food offerings. We took kheema which bit spicy for my liking.. Egg masala was pretty good.. Also we ordered chicken fry which was pretty decent but less in terms of quantity.. Their chapati and bhakri are of Large sizes and were served hot.. quite a decent place to have some maharashtrian non veg food
Best maharashtrian style non vegetarian food. Also visited the main branch in satara several times. Till date the taste is same. Service is good. Order anything and gurantee you'll love it.
Good..i mean best in town..
I wouldn't mind going every day
Service is good. Food is awesome. I specially liked how they cook, neither slight raw nor overcooked, it perfect, pieces are soft enough to melt in your mouth.
Don't forget to try dalcha with whatever you order.

As the name suggests, this is a Maharashtrian non veg food lover's delight! A huge fan of mutton bhakri, I came across this place recommended on FC Road and decided to check it out. First time around, they had run out of mutton as I went almost at closing time so I tried the chicken thali . Best part here was that the chicken was well marinated and juicy . The staff was courteous enough to offer a complimentary mutton soup too as they couldn't serve mutton thali. Next time I tried the special mutton thali which was indeed Special!!! Well cooked Indrani rice, fresh bhaakris , mutton gravy , mutton sukka and the brilliantly done soup makes 350/- look very justified!!
Good service .. Great food.. Not amazing n all.. But good.. May be because we were the last table.. Around 10. 40.. We had chicken thali and egg thai .. Only one of each was available.. 😌.. Super awesome spice mix rice.. With rassa .. Gives it a good finishing touch.. Keep it up guys will visit again..
I went to surveys on many recommendations. The food here is pure authentic maharashtrian.
Tast wise it is 4/5 (if you prefer spicy 4.5/5).
They have a limited menu, but food quality is amazing.
Staff is polite and helpfull
Ambiences is where the restorent lacks a littel, its made in a small space and has a very cozy atmosphere.
All in all its a must try for non-veg lovers
Good and Tasty Food. Would love to repeat the place. One of the best restaurants where you will get good service! Staff is best to serve n suggest you. Ask for special eating style (Bhakri Churun) Rather they will ask you first. Gavachi Poli (Chapati) Best ever I had. Overall Greattttttttt
Lovely taste of Gravy made of spices n not just chilli powder.. We get limited set of Thali (chicken/mutton) which is surely enough for 1 person.. Best things here is its water based gravy (unlike punjabi thalis which marinated in curd n cream to make it heavy), also separate set of dishes for pieces, leg piece in chicken thali. Fish option is limited. Pomfret and Surmai must include. Also Little difficult to get parking for four wheelers. Must visit place who loved the Hotel Nagpur at sadashiv Peth and Kaveri hotels..
Came to this place cause of a sudden craving for mutton thali and need to go some place close to home.
The restaurant is situated on FC Road and is a very small but cosy place with limited seating. The food is served quick and hot and the service is good. I had the Special Mutton Thali.
Coming to the food, was impressed with the freshness and quality of the mutton. It was well cooked and nice and spicy. The kheema and mutton sukha were perfectly made.
The food overall was a little oily but if you want to try a nice hearty mutton/chicken meal I suggest you ignore the oiliness and jump right in.
Service - 4.5/5
Food - 4/5
Seating and Ambience - 4/5
Would definitely visit again!!
Nice place, good ambience, good quality food, must visit place. We ordered special mutton thali. Kheema and all other items in thali are awesome.
If you are in a mood to eat Maharashtrian style chicken then don't think, head straightaway to this place. This is such a gem of a place serving the best chicken thalis in Pune. You might miss the location due to many other joints there. It is next to chaitanya Paratha. Once you are here just sit and enjoy those lip smacking thalis. I have come here so many times and always found the taste consistently good everytime. Even all my relatives and friends to whom I recommended this place have become frequent patrons.
They might ask you crush the bhakri with chicken rassa but I don't usually do it. I have tried mostly chicken thalis and mutton thalis and both are just fantastic, I always prefer their Tandlachi bhakri in place of chapati which is oh so yum! The quantity is also good.
The ambiance is clean and basic. The prices are also decent and the service is prompt. Being used to Puneri Marathi there were times when I found it hard to understand their accent. LOL, but they are really friendly. I have been to other similar restaurants too but have found this as the best chicken thali place.
Totally impressed with this place ! Nice small quick and soothing place !
Pocket friendly !
Assal mutton khayche asel tar ieethe jaroor ya !
I loved their food a lot. People who love to eat spicy food should head on! Mouthwatering kheema , alni mutton made my day on rainy day. Maratha people out thr must visit !
After hearing so much about this place, it was my turn to try it out myself. So been there for dinner.
We ordered one special mutton thali and one mutton kheema thali. The food was good. But I found it a bit on oilier side (thats my personal choice though). The quality and quantity was definitely satisfying. Mutton fry, kheema, and bhakris were good. The server did suggested us to crush the bhakris and to add it to the rassa, even he went a step further and did it for us. It really tasted better, I have had the same experience at their restaurant in Satara.
The only point i was to raise here that they do not have or serve any normal (regular) water. So you have to buy a packaged water. As I think you should get both the choices and you should not just offer packaged water (But they did serve it at the MRP printed on the bottle unlike many other restaurants.)
We will be back for sure to try other dishes on the menu.
Ordered keema y day was AWESOME. Loved it now ll b a regular
The taste was like home cooked , meat was well done . Bhakri s made me nostalgic . Portions were big
Keep up the good work
Great tasty food and pleasantly friendly staff.
+5 for food, +5 for polite staff, +4 for the ambiance.
Special Note: Management not only allows you to get veg food from outside (if you have a vegetarian friend along) but also makes menu from a nearby restaurant available for a vegetarian guest. This shows they care for comfort of each visitor, while they stick to their forte 'PURE NON-VEG'.
I love this place.
My friend recommended this place to me and insisted that I try chicken thaali with chapati. According to his description the chapati was as soft as cotton! Now this caught got my curiosity and attention. After visiting this place my friends claims were bang on right! This place is a MUST VISIT for every meat lover!
This is one of the best place for mutton in Pune. Yesterday we took Special mutton thali and we were unable to finish that. This is about quantity. Now about the quality. Well cooked mutton pieces, keema, stew, rassa, bhakri, indrayani rice....fantastic, excellent. Last but not the least 'the service'.
I felt the service is exceptional. Owner took special interest to understand the need of the guest. The captain was very eager to make you feel at home.
Only two words.... Mind blowing.
I had read a lot of reviews for surves's, and since then it has been on my must visit list. Had the opportunity to have a sunday lunch, and i am glad it was a Sunday, any other day it would have been too sumptuous. A very traditional fare, very tasty mutton, extremly well cooked. The rassa and soup was very tasty and tasted awesome with the rice. The supersoft bhakari was really great, and i was wishing i could have managed to eat more. A must try if u like this traditional maharashtrian fare.
After going through reviews, we decided to go dis afternoon. As i heard a lot about it, dat its famous from satara. I was wondering How People go so far to have only food there all the way from pune.
As we entered restaurant, ambience looks quite good. Luckily there was no waiting for it, got the table quickly. Few tables were on downstairs and few upstairs. It was Nice clean and looks hygienic from outside atleast.
Ambience - 4/5
Coming to food, i ordered a mutton spl thali, in that mutton soup which was not quite good, flavour was lacking only mutton stock which i had. Then mutton kheema which was nicely minced and well cooked. Mutton rassa was surprisingly different. I don't feel it was authentic maharashtrian taste. It was bit oily, and taste wise is was bland. Main attraction of this thali was mutton fry, mutton pieces were quite good, and perfectly cooked. There were 6-7 pieces, quantity was much good for 1 person. Then i had chapati which was nuce hot and fluffy. I replace pulav wit indrayani rice, dat was not dat sticky and ghee was missing in it.
My wife only had chicken rassa and bhakri as she is vegetarian. I didn't find any veggies in the menu. Dat can be consider as i have not gone through the menu before visiting.
The worst part is you have to buy compulsory a bottled drinking water as they said we don't serve regular water. I asked why is it so? Server had no idea about it. He just gave me a smile.
Overall food - 3/5
Dessert was missing, expecting a nice dessert or sweet at the end. Atleast i would recommend to keep ice creams.
Just happened to find this place while I was strolling on FC road looking out for a new place to have dinner. Killer tasty food. The taste clearly feels very homely. Very tasty chicken rassa and bhakhri. Pulav is also yum! Great flavors that hits your taste buds bang on. Cost - decently priced not expensive. Quantity - filling. Ambience and cleanliness - regular. Service - very good.
As in Pune there are "pure veg hotels" which are strict for Veg lovers...To fight with these hotels Surve has come up witb "Strictly Non veg"
I am true lover of Surve's pure non veg at Satara. This is the addition to it.
You will get only non veg that too perfect maharashtrian style..
I enjoyed gavran chicken and bhakri..
You can eat it with curry...RASSA in marathi.
Also there is an option to eat in pure south maharashtrian style. Means cut the pices of bhakri poured it in Rassa and enjoy chicken/mutton with it....
This fun can have only here..
Taste is awesome... gives perfect taste of Ghati masala..quantity of thali also good.
In weekends this place is full. You need to wait for min 20 minutes.
In summary this is perfect destination for Gavran chicken and mutton lovers like me..
Taste it..
Finally I got a place to have non veg in Pune. The food is awesome. I had Alani chicken fry, chicken rassa handi and chicken masala. Alani chicken fry was ok but rest of the two are really good specially the rassa served with chicken handi is delicious. The bhakaris are also soft and served hot. I already visited this place thrice in a month and will be visiting it again whenever I want to eat something good. Chicken handi with bhakari and indrayani rice is the highly recommended thing.
i know the taste since last 5 yrs...nd now in pune too...its a best non-veg place in pune. familiar environment, very good service, reasonable rates. feels like having food at home 😍😋
must try spl mutton thali and mutton dalcha and mutton chicken aalani fry.
अस्सल सातारी चव लय भारी 😋
I am a complete foodie with rassa bhakri my weakness. Would go places to try this cuisine, so surve's in FC road had to happen immediately. Loved their tag line of Only Nonveg.
The food is just awesome, food is served with a lot of love, all the waiters would insist you having their specialities, Bhakri rassa kuchkarun khana must ahe, is what they said and then before u say no, it's already being prepared on the table, and if u feel u are done after that, they would serve u the Indrayani rice, those who haven't had this, have to try this.
Ambience is good, far better than any other rassa bhakri places.
One major USP being, they don't have a fridge, so every meal is cooked fresh.
Very clean place with nice ambience. Mutton Alani fry and mutton handi were tried today. Both of them were very good. Very helpful steward and prompt service. Steward's recommendations were nice.
We ordered for a variety of dishes, including the mutton sukka, mutton alani, mutton soup, mutton Rassa and chapattis...
Needless to say, all the dishes were exceptional in flavour and preparation. The mutton was cooked well and was blended with the right amount of spices and flavours
Definitely a must visit for all the mutton lovers...
Authentic Kolhapuri non veg food. The food taste reminded me of Kolhapur instantly. Good taste, good quantity....Must haves.. Mutton keema and Chapati, the quality of chapati was also good, Chicken thali, Chicken and Mutton Alni(less spicy).
Overall a must visit place for Kolhapuri Cuisine lovers...
Orginally from satara.. Close to my factory so was really happy when i knew they are opening an outlet in Pune.
Great food and very friendly service by their staff. Taste too is different and something close to the rural Maharshtra which indicates authenticity.
The only and worst drawback of this restaurant is that they do not provide drinking water during the meal.
One has to buy a bottle of mineral water which for me is a turn off.
Never the less the quality of food being so good i would carry a bottle of water but would still go there!!
The best place to have authentic maharashtrian mutton rassa and bhakri food is so good 😍
And service is very fast the staff is very nice and friendly
Must try
Mutton kheema
Mutton handi
Or
Mutton thali
Service 5/5
Value for money 6/5
We had the mutton and chicken thali. Gravy is just amazing - one could have many bowls of the same.
The chapatis are great company to the sukka and the gravy.
The ambience is simple and families were enjoying themselves. The service is very prompt and courteous.
Amazing maharashtrian non veg thali. it was amazing, the tambda rassa, Alani, and the chicken masala with hot rotis were to die for. just amazing. :) My tryst with authentic maharashtrian cuisine was horrible (Thanx to a different restaurant). But like they say 2nd time lucky!!!. well lip smacking lucky indeed :)
Impeccable DALCHA!!! must try...... Great taste with pure authentic ambience. Ek bear khaoge khud Jan jaoge..................................
Had been to this place for lunch with friends day before yesterday even though im only an eggetarian. The food was is really excellent.. the chapatis teminded me of home food. Friends did enjoy the mutton thali and chicken thali... i had a egg masala and chapati.... the food is really aweaum... the ambience is cool and the service is also quick....
Must visit a place for non vegetarian
Very nice food specially the chicken and mutton special thali and the tambda rassa they give is amazingly tasty ...must go for a nonveg lover.
Mutton thali was so tasty that I finished it all by myself. Mutton stock soup, dry mutton dish, 2 bhakris, mutton rassa, kheema and then ghee-salted rice! They even packed the bones for our dog! Extremely good service, simple and good ambience and most importantly home-like taste! Going there again for sure.
Discovered this place recently. Must say, the experience was absolutely fabulous. No frills place. Simple decor with wooden benches. The food is out of this world. Super fast service. This place is strictly for non
vegetarians. The mutton dishes are outstanding. Nice maharashtrian fare. It's a must visit. The next time you are in Pune head here for lunch. You won't regret it for sure.
Thanks for such a Lovely food...... I was a regular visitor to Satara branch but mesmerized to taste the same in Pune. Thanks Madhav for bringing it in Pune.....
Tagline of the hotel itself says it all about this hotel 'Pure Non-Veg'.
Came here after hearing a lot about this hotel & the food (specifically mutton) they serve here. Food was amazing specifically the kheema.
The interior of the hotel quiet good with artistic touch to it.
Overall very good hotel for Non-Veg lovers with the wide variety of Maharashtrian Non-Veg dishes.
Was actually supposed to go out a veg joint besides this place but couldn't go past the aroma of surve's!! They are true to their name and serve only non veg!! Had the chicken thali and the chicken was cooked with an authentic kholapuri flavor. Ambience is like a typical restaurant but it is kept clean and isn't cramped. Service is great too.
Superb food, outstanding hospitality and service
They make you eat as if you were Baratis
Much better than most of the So called hyped Kolhapuri Resturants in Pune
Great place for Kheema Paav or Chapati!!! Awesome super delicious Kheema!! Chicken Thali is ok!! Chicken was very well cooked and tender!! Chicken Soup is delicious!!! Only minus point is the quantity offered compared to the rates is unsatisfactory.. Also chicken thali could have more variety of chicken served!! Chicken pulao was good too!!
Amazing and prompt service..the staff is courteous...ambience is average..but emphasis has been given to cleanliness.. which is very good...the quality of food and masalas used is good too..mutton fry and mutton kheema are a must try...no compromise in terms of quality...the bhakri n rotis are really soft n of good quality...must try for mutton lovers
Surve's is a branch of maharashtrian nonvegetarian food from satara. I came to know about this place from a friend. She was waiting for this place to be opened in pune. It was only after i went der tht i came to know why.
I am really fond of maharashtrian food. I had chicken thali. And it was nothing less than AMAZING.
The place is clean and hygienic.
It is a lil costlier than other such places in punr.
But it is surely value for money.
Must visit. :)
Came to know about this place yesterday and decided to visit today for lunch. Only mutton lovers will understand how am I feeling....mutton lovers cannot resist. This is a place a pure non vegetarian should visit. Vegetarian...please, you are excused.
Well this place is easy to find on F.C. Road. Parking could be a problem though. Anyway, a small decent place with minimal interior. As you enter, there are tables laid on either sides of the wall and the kitchen on the far corner to the right. A stair case leads you to the upper level seating area which is more elite.
Ordered a Special Mutton Thali:
Alani mutton is served before the main course. Boiled chunks of mutton cooked with turmeric. That's it. I am not a fan of this dish but my friends loved it. I liked the mutton stock though.
Now came the moment we all were waiting for....A thali with a bowl full of mutton sukka/masala, mutton kheema, mutton tambda rassa and a small katori of mutton stock served with a choice of chapati or bhakri. I chose chapati.
The chunks of mutton were tender and cooked to perfection. The flesh was falling off the bone so easily. The spices went through and through which really aroused my taste buds. The spice level was perfect. Please do not compare it to any other Kolhapuri Mutton Joint.
The tambda rassa is ravishing...it really sends currents to your brains. Its piping hot, perfectly blended spices and when you have it directly from the bowl....ahhh...ma ma miaaaa....one needs to experience it. No words to describe.
Mutton kheema was delicious. I personally love this dish.
People prefer to crumble the flat bread (bhakri) and mix it with the mutton gravy and let it soak up all the flavours. Then they relish it...slurp it....repeat....
The pulav was nice with tiny pieces of mutton.
The staff is polite...a little over friendly though. Service is quick and value for money is a plus point. All in all a place a non vegetarian should not miss.
Very good food clean and hygienic place to site and have most amazing mutton. I have not eaten so well cooked mutton. Good service and humble waiters serving you good food. THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS YOU HAVE TO BUY MINERAL WATER COS THEY DONT HAVE DRINKING WATER CONNECTION THAT'S WHAT THEY TOLD ME. Rest everything thing was absolutely not to be complaining about. And as suggestion they should also start serving solkadhi. ABSOLUTELY MUST TRY PLACE WHAT IF YOU HAVE TO BUY WATER NO BIG DEAL.
Survey's Non-Veg, a place which every one should visit. Vegetarians, please excuse here. This is strictly for non vegetarians. Not much on the menu. You should straight away go for their mouth watering speciality mutton. Note, the spice levels are reasonable but not as high as Aware or Kaveri.
Started with the alani mutton dry. This is boiled mutton pieces slightly cooked in spices. Meat was tender and well done close to perfection. Quick enough to grab these bites before main course. We tried mutton and chicken thali.
Mutton thali comes with red gravy (tambada rassa), white gravy (pandara rassa), mutton sukka and khema with choice of bhakri and chapati. Best part was the quality of the meat was excellent; soft and tender and nicely cooked in the spicy gravy. Starter had already pumped up your taste buds. The chikeṅ thali was normal and comes with gravy and dry chicken. Overall the thali were satisfying and reasonable to your pockets.
Ambience - decent
Value for money - yes Mutton menu (didn't try their fish menu, may be next visit)
Rates on menu card were reasonable
Small unassuming place with excellent food. Alani mutton as a starter was mutton pieces with almost no masala cooked on fire - great stuff but only for diehard mutton lovers. Special mutton thali with jowar 'bhakri' was good especially when the waiter suggested that we eat the same in typical farmer style - crush the bhakri in a shallow plate, add the curries in it and have a go....
Try the surve's special or the kheema. Both brilliant mutton meat dishes cooked to perfection. The Indrani mutton pulav makes the whole meal sublime! A good place overall for laal maas in Pune.
24th Feb: 2nd PEOple's choice pal@table meet was at Surve’s Pure Non veg. For this meet me and Rakesh Jumped with joy as we saw “Pure Non Veg” and enrolled as soon as table was announced in order to avoid being waitlisted.
We tried Mutton ukad, Mutton soup, lip-smacking mutton Sukkha, Dalcha. I had Chicken Thali and also tasted few Mutton thali items. Food was flavorful, not very spicy. Very good service- friendly servers feeding us as if we come to own home after long time.
Overall it was amazing experience. Also recommended this place to few of the friends and they also loved it.
If you are craving for Maharashtrian non veg, this is the place!

Went with the family for lunch and throughly enjoyed the lunch, the food was excellent and service was even better.
Lovely gravey and juicy tender pieces of meat.
Its is a place you should try with your family and you won't be disappointed
Awesome food.. Being from Satara had the privilege to eat at Surves earlier which originally are from Satara.. Glad that it has come to pune as well now to cater Pune people now.. Mutton sukka.. Chicken sukka.. Dalcha are a must try.. They make complete justice to maharashtrian food and is 100% authentic.. Keep it up!!
A small place with a small menu that's big on taste and value for money. Their Surve's special mutton thali was one fantastic thali I have had in a long time. And that too a Maharashtrian thali which I had not had in a long time. With this special thali you get mutton fry, mutton keema and mutton soup with either bhakar or chapati and mutton Pulao that has mutton with some light spices that give a lip smacking flavor.
I couldn't help but order more of the mutton fry. At Surve's the staff were very friendly and hospitable. All in all it is a great place with some really great Maharashtrian food... Yum!
Food - awesome taste
Staff - very humble, quick and attentive
Quantity - more than sufficient
Value for money - totally
Ambience - good, clean and hygenic
This is a brand from Sahara. I was surprised to see sucha spacious restaurant on FC Road. It was a family get together and my daughter had chosen this place. We comfortably sat on the first floor of the restaurant. And ordered for half chicken handi, half mutton handi, and mutton alani fry starter. Since it was a Saturday and according to the waiter they don't keep extra meat mutton was over and so was chicken hence we couldn't get the starter we had ordered for. However the served handis were delicious! Chapati and bhakris were soo soft we couldn't stop eating. Again while ordering rice we didn't get their pulao biryani as their was no chicken or mutton left. But then the waiter served us a little Mutton Dalcha and it was really tasty. The waiters didn't make us wait even for one full minute, the service was soo fast. Though you would read a lot many things were missing in the meal, we weren't upset as the service and the taste of the rest made up for it. .. I would really recommend it to all "Pure Non-Vegetarians"...
Mutton madness at Surves Pure non veg!
Must try: mutton sukkha, mutton fry, thali, and the dalcha. Nothing was over the top spicy, just beautiful punchy flavors. I could drink that rassa all day...
Amazing service.. The waiter broke the bhakri in the plate and poured the rassa. And he insisted to eat with hands. Personal touch.
You'll hear a lot more about this place.. Deserves the praise. :)

Every once in a while, there comes a place which sweeps the food-loving junta of Pune off its feet. Surve's is one such place which has all the makings of great. I happened to notice a nondescript hoarding across FTII which read 'pure nov-veg' which got my attention. I noticed the name and decided to try it out immediately. Upon calling them through Zomato, the owner told me that Surve's is located right next to Chaitanya Parathas @ FC Road. And there I was for my lunch. I cannot begin to tell you what happened thereafter.
The place is a no-frills, no-nonsense, pure non-veg lovers delight. Surve's is as rural as they come. Here are some quick tidbits about Surve's:
> Surve's is a name to reckon with from Satara. They have 3 outlets in Satara; one of them being a 3 storey building on the Satara highway itself.
> All the masalas in which the food is prepared are prepared at the owner's home.
> Surve's believes in serving fresh food. Food prepared for lunch is NOT carried forward to dinner. If the food gets over, it gets over. Customers are told so. Fresh meat is procured for every lunch and dinner. So much so, that Surve's claim that they DO NOT have a refrigerator in their kitchen. Everything is freshly prepared.
I liked their servers too. They bring the essence of rural Maharashtra to the fore: unassuming and endearingly raw in a friendly way. If you missed out on living or being with the people from rural Maharashtra and do not know their ways, the server's answers -- especially for the prim and proper Punekars -- may come across as curt replies. I have lived most of life outside Pune in the rural parts and so I can assure you that is NOT the case.
Let me explain -- I ordered Surve's Special Mutton Thali consisting on Mutton, Kheema, Mutton Soup, Bhakri/Chapati, and Rice. I am a big fan of having hot piping food. So I asked the server to ensure that the food is hot. Pat quick the reply, पहले खा, मग बोला ("First have the food and then tell me!"). Now I was waiting for the food to come, and it came within a few minutes. The server till stood there. Now I was wondering what he was up to. He asked me, आमच्या सारख खाणार का? ("Would you like to eat it our (rural) way?") I said खाणार की ! ("Yes, I am game") and so he proceeded to take the bhakris and tear them apart like paper (they were so thin yet so filling) and put them all in a big bowl like plate. Next he poured the rassa (oh heavens, that godly rassa) on the bhakris and proceeded to crunch them with his hand. हाणा आता ("Now eat") -- he ordered with friendly authority! The first bite sent me to heaven without leaving dear earth. I was transformed into a bygone era when I used to watch my elders eat chicken/mutton in a similar manner. Got a feeling that they must be smiling at me...wherever they are. The quality of the mutton was the clincher for me. It was cooked perfectly too. The rassa was heavenly too. Together with that bhakri it created magic of unspeakable words. I had the mutton, the kheema, and the aanli soup too. More than just paisa vasool for me! What's more, Surve's are generous hoteliers who serve a plate full of onions and lemons and a mineral bottle. Probably a first in Pune to do so. Every now and then the server comes and asks you to take some more and more. In his own words, "बायको जितका आग्रह करणार नाही तितका आग्रह आम्ही करतो ". Made me smile and I took another bhakri and was full up to the rim now. Yet Surve's was not done yet. The server came with their another specialty: Dalcha Khana. I mustered some strength and had it. It was terrific too. The Surve's have devised a science and philosophy of eating great non-veg food and this comes through their menu card (see the photos).
Overall, a class act of the highest order. If Surve's can maintain their quality, nothing can stop them from becoming a big name in Pune. I pray that they stay true to the art and heart and keep on doing आग्रह to all their customers. Amen.
