Basically this restaurant has so many types of cuisine. This place is very old restaurant. People come here and enjoy bun maska and chai. I went there with my friends. We want Chinese food so we ordered the chicken triple rice, chicken Hong-kong noodles and Chicken chaomin. Soup was tasty and so noodles and rice. Then we ordered chicken kheema.

This place look like old one but this is very famous and nice place to eat... Ambience is not so special.. They serve Chinese too.. I like most is their irani tea and bun maska.. Worth for price and awsome tea...
NCR canteen
Jm Road
When I am no mood for home cooked veg food
NCR has always been my hunger saver partner since my college days
A small very old canteen now restaurant run by a irani family
Serves good breakfast and Chinese items
My all time fav combination is
Chicken Chinese bhel with
Chicken lolypop masala
Tastes fabulous
All the items on menu
Are super value for money
Chicken Chinese bhel was tangy and super crunchy and with the combination of lolypop masala
It tasted just too good
All the items were cooked to perfection with no added colour
Other items on lists to be tried on are Bun omelette cheese
Bun maska
And irani chai
Ambiance 3/5
Food 4/5
Vfm 5/5
Happy to recommend
Happy eating
Don't go on the look of this cafe, this place is old, authentic, infrastructure isn't that cool, but the food is worth everything, I ordered combination schezwan fried rice & chow mein which was enough for two people, the taste was how Chinese must actually taste plus the schezwan chutney they provide by the side spices enough your food. A pocket friendly, tummy soothing, taste satisfying place to visit.
I have been visiting this place since my college days. The main reason to visit while I was a student, was, it's pocket friendly! Now I do visit it sometimes for old memories sake :)
They serve very good special chaai & bun maska. The Chinese noodles are also good in taste if you like 'Indian' version of Chinese food :-)
The ambience is same since many years & you get a feel that you have entered 90s period as you enter this place.
Not much of 'family' going kind of place but most of the time you will see customer base consisting of students/ bachrlors/ groups of old friends catching up etc.
The location is big +ve as it is located on main road near Shivaji nagar area , bang opposite to jungli Maharaj & Pataleshwar temple.
A lot of nostalgia attached to this one because of all the student years spent here. NCR is a small irani cafe situated on a corner on JM road. Though its chai and bun maska do justice to its legacy,we always ended up here for our pocket friendly Chinese grub. All the chinese dishes veg and non veg are delicious and good quantity wise. Huge shout out to caramel pudding too. Also the owner is very friendly. A delightful place.
Situated on busy JM road just opposite Jangli Maharaj temple is this typical Irani restaurant with stone top tables and heavy furniture. As like other Irani restaurant, it's always fun to talk to the owner. As the place is VFM, it's always crowded
It's famous for its Irani chai, omelet and bun maska though they also serve chicken and veg main course and Thalis, my favourite are their chai with bun maska.
Have been visiting this place since my childhood days. Recent visit was a nostalgic trip down the memory lane. Do visit if in the area!
Lying in the heart of the city , this place is good for be it chai or a proper meal...its rarely empty , usually crowded with the students nearby, and though it might not seem hygienic to many ,the interiors always remind you of the olden times which is great and the serving time is very quick....my fav dish here is the chkn manchurian noodles (with a pepsi ;p) and the veg rice and noodles also seem to be good and sufficiently enough for 2 ...always a great place to hangout!🤘Shivesh @rohit deshmukh
A common place for students and shoppers alike on JM Road and its quite legendary too.
Enjoy the all time favourite bunmaska-chai or some other chinese dish/biryani etc.
Quick and efficient service.
I'm a regular customer here from back 2011. I used to come here with my frnds at late 11:30 in night to drink tea.
Then once I tried bun-maska with tea here. Wow... Lil salty butter spread inside very soft n fresh bun cut in 4 pieces tastes like nothing else...
Since then I'm regular here.
This place looks little old but is clean and breakfast here is above good quality. Service here, I will rate 9 out of 10.
You can easily compare this place with Cafe Goodluck on FC road, with goodness of being less crowded and Little less costly than Goodluck cafe.
Owner even is good enough and cool.
*this place has lots of mirrors, good to check urself out...
Here is the place to have Irani chai, which went missing @good_luck_cafe..
Dis place is old & need some cleaning to be very frank.. But still you will get good & tasty breakfast out here.. Had cheese_toast, bun maska omelette & bun cheese omelette...
A must visit place to add on the list!! ;)
Love the Chinese love Itami chai. This place I been visiting since 2000 must say everything is the same !!! It's good place to just hangout with tea !!!
Ok hotel .no good ambience .tea coffee very bad.but chinsese is good and pocket friendly.kheema pav is very good since it's a irani cafe.service is ok.
Best place for morning n evening snack!quiet clean restaurant! Heavy chair with black marble table! Pocket friendly, young crowd...loved their Iranian tea with bun maska!!!
Probably the ONLY restaurant in Pune which is close for mere 5 hours. This place is beautifully located at the start of JM road and opposite to divine JM Temple.
To start with typical Irani restaurant with heavy chairs and black marble/stone tables. Ample place for around 50 people at a time.
Their usp is the TEA!! Irani tea ofcourse. You can have bun-butter, slice butter, bun butter jam or cream roll with it. Perfect for morning teas or evening snacks.
Their food is also good, specially the non-veg items (Not the chinese). Chinese is also fine here. Chicken Adraki and Chicken Mughlai are my favourites.
This place is great for meetings and catching up with old friends if ambience does not bother you. Ofcourse you may not feel like taking a girl with you here. But listening to bhajans in the JM Temple and reading newspaper while sipping tea for hours is the heavenly experience which I bet you will not experience elsewhere.
And ofcourse like all Irani hotels you have very jolly and fun talking to owners here.!! :)
Just come here for a cup of tea, catch a place next to window and watch JM road speed by. The feeling here is undescribable.
Good food. Actually very tasty. No online payment facility tho. In case you don't have it and they might ask you to leave.
Finest and pure restaurant in PMC area, situated at JM Road (road touch).
The restaurant is old gives vibes of Iranian/Parsi restaurants and their taste is best and pure.
The table and chair setup are pure and heavy iron, the view of JM road is beautiful from inside the wall decor.
Service is fast, you order in second minute it will serve on your table.
The main satisfaction you get is whatever you order will get healthier choice.
However they don't have cashless payment facility, but every items are under budget.
I like the place and recommended to visit all once in a while.

It's one of the oldest irani restaurant cafe in Pune. They have very good bus maska and bun omlette. They serve special irani tea also. The rates are reasonable. Also try non veg dishes.
Bun maska is the best option. Tea ☕ test is typically the same as Iran speciality.

One of the oldest in town, must try bun maska, tea & coffee.
Iranian restaurant set up in late 1900 serving pune since many years. Chinese dishes are the best they offer sichuan chutney is the usp spicy and amazing. Overall experience 8/10 taste 9/10 ambience 8/10 old age feels..
Old fashioned vibe works just fine for a restaurant like this. Around ₹25 for tea and ₹40 for bun maska is very comforting.
Old average place with good food .. Typical irani restaurant vibes
Good Chinese food available here.
Great ambiance.
It takes you to 'old Pune' vibe.
Food is good.
Old interior takes your attention.
Service is moderate.
Pocket friendly 😉.
(Similar experience as goodluck cafe)
Visit once!
Best place to have Chinese food, gives vibes of an old school interior and good place to hang out with friends. One of the underrated place in this area, better than Goodluck cafe I must say.
Good vibe of old parsi cafe, good taste affordable price great place to eat
Definitely visit it for delicious chinese food , bun maska with chai etc . The ambience has an 'old is gold' appeal. Worth a visit especially if you are bored of fast changing restaurant interiors.
You will get here best steamy noodles. Place is unique in its own. Heavy furniture, wooden decoration make it a another experience.
Good place to stay for outsiders. Plenty of choice for food. JM Road. Public transport is available and frequent
I was at this restaurant with my friend they don't have online payment option , when i told them i don't have cash , uncle's behavior was very rude , kindly start accepting online payment thank you
