Great place for authentic Kerala food. They also have Kerala snacks like banana chips and chakki. The service could have been faster.
Kerala Fast Food a small hotel located on Aundh Road, Khadki. As it's Kerala Restaurant their only focus is on Kerala Style Cuisine which is rare to find in Pune.
Their Ambience is kept to minimum seatings however they can manage more then 25people at a time.
Their service was very fast and our food was served in less then 5minutes.
What I had?
• Kotthu Porrota -> It's Kerala Parrota which is finely chopped and stir fried with onions, tomatoes, eggs and Chicken. You get an option of beef as well instead of Chicken. It was something I had for first time and did not know it would completely fill my tummy. Taste was also too good and highly recommended as it's a rare thing to find in Pune.
• Buff Fry -> Dry Boneless pieces of Buffalo stir fried with Curry Leaves and the flesh was gentle making it easy to eat and not chewy, taste wise it was good. Their were lots of small Buff pieces.
It's a must visit place for all South Indian food lovers.
Great south Indian food. Love the soft and crispy parottas and the buff curry. I'm not much of a sea food lover, but most of my friends really seem to like the Fish Molly there.
I came here on a Sunday afternoon,we were a large group and we ordered a variety of dishes.
The best was the porotta and the buff roast. The buff meal and fish meal was close to the authentic flavours.
The sulaimani tea was very refreshing.
The place is not huge ,so if you go with a big group you might have to wait. The service was good.
Overall a good place to suffice your cravings for Kerala food
Whenever I crave for South Indian food this is the place where I usually go. You will definitely find a good variety of South Indian meal and they do serve some delicious non-veg dishes as well.

Had special veg thali and fish fry from here. Thali was good but the fish was over fried. It's pocket Friendly. If you are a malayalee, then you can easily make out the flaws. But you can take your non malayalee friends here for a nice treat.
Hi all foodies in Khadki !! This place is one a must visit and trust me you will not be disappointed with any thing in here. Great satisfaction to the core. Brown rice, authentic sambar and the fish was really awesome. It’s a must visit. Highly recommended
This joint is my absolute go to when I am craving meat. The buff fry, chicken masala roast and parrota accompanied with whiskey and coke is my recommendation
A good place to have a good mallu food.
They serve really good parota
Good service
Hygiene
Pocket friendly
Must try:
Chicken curry
Beef roast
Sulaimani
Treat for non-vegetarians with great quantity of serving.
Vegetarians should strictly avoid due very less variety.
Ambience is plain and simple, Non AC with outdoor seating also available.
Value for money for sure!
All the Mallus out there, you're gonna fall in love with the food of this place! It serves authentic Kerala food, which is always fresh and tasty!
My sister has been raving about this place for 3 years now, so when we finally went to Pune it was a given that we go here for dinner. It is a small Street side restaurant but is an example of how looks can be deceiving. It is run by Malayalis, therefore they serve authentic Kerala food. We had the signature Malabar parotta, kotthu parotta and appam with kadala curry. Up until this, it was nothing new for me though I gobbled them all happily. Next we went for Kappa biryani which is a tapioca dish cooked with either black chickpeas or meat. This was something new and I definitely enjoyed it. But what came next was the star of the show. Sulaimani chai. Have to say I loved it and have been trying to recreate it ever since. Definitely worth going here. Quick service too.
I love this place for its paratha and chicken sabji. And some tea my friend ordered was very good to taste too. Do visit this place for good food at reasonable price.
Ambience is not that good. But food is very nice. Their appams are one which are must try Wid chicken curry. Place is accessible easily. Service is fast. I would like to recommend it to all.
Short review: Kerala Fast Food is an excellent outlet, small and to the point. The taste is authentic and the pricing is spot on. Worth the buck
Kerala spice ( kerala fast food)
After reading and seeing the pics on sonals post here yesterday started craving the meat fry.. Planned and went for dinner today.. Took me around 1 hr to reach this place and the time taken was Worth it
It's a small cozy place with very minimal lights if u sit outside ( we sat outside as the place was full)
Ordered 2 portion of meat fry and 2 portion of meat masala fry..
Amazing flavours.. Well spiced.. The star was the meat masala fry. Good chunks of meat fried in kerela masala with curry leaves and diced coconut.. Simply outstanding
Service was quick.. In and out of the restaurant in 20 min
Way more than vfm
Special thanks to sonal for putting up the post for this place
spices taste authenticity and services straight away from Kerala...can't expect better than this anywhere in Pune...look out for fish fry and buff preparations
The Best Restaurant for Authentic Kerala Cuisine. The Buff Fry, Egg Roast and the Biryani is a must have! And, the Meals are Value for Money when on a Budget.
The Fish also changes everyday depends on the Availability and Season, but the Fish Fry is recommended when available.
Best Joint in Pune if one wants to try Kerela Food. Kerela Fast food serves the best south indian flavoured non vegetarian dishes. the parotas and the gravy are the besttt. Biryanis too are mouth watering. Curry leaves in non vegetarian dishes just make fhe specific dishe way too tastyy. All must visit this place to enjoy some great food
Awesome buff masala roast.
Price not very high and is pocket friendly.
And khadki and Aundh area is the best for getting buff.
Should also try buff and egg parotha, best served as a chakhana
I have been eating at this place since 6 years now when it used to have only 2 tables to what it has now with more than 8 tables. Small place but if you want good quality mallu food you must visit this place. Quality of taste hasn’t changed in all these years. I visit this place almost once in every 2 weeks
This my home. I never miss homemade food when I come here. Authentic taste of my land. Right from Sulaimani to meals, everything reminds me of Kerala. You guys are the best.
Had an amazing Onam Sadya experience... wholesome and tasty food served on plantain leaf, non spicy and non oily, yet to try their A La Carte menu...
Happy Onam !
Enjoy the most delicious spread of kerala !
Amazing food with traditional taste from Kerala!
Make must visit for those who love Kerala traditional food 🌴🍚🍛🥥
Ambience is good but the food is not so delecious yes you get a taste of south indian but it is too expensive and the quantity is quite less
Not worth spending too much over here.
The beverages served is good the staff is also very cooperative.
enjoyed the team again. good food. the chicken fry was very nice
superb food and on time selivery
Kerala fast food is a favourite place for all of us in #creativebharat to order lunch regularly. The food is authentic and we simply love the Kerala aapam with fish curry. I want to acknowledge a special gesture of Mr.Unni the owner ... I was there at the outlet with a client of mine who was physically challenged. Unni and team took utter most care and ensured every comfort he could get. Lastly the finger bowl that was worked out in the last minute for him was something that really touched me. This place just doesn't have people working... But people with emotions working. Keep up #keralafastfood. And we will always relish ur food.
it is on time early delivery
good delivered ..he is reached before giving time ...thanks for good service
a truly authentic and excellent place in terms of food and service. the buff kappa biryani has buff and mashed tapioca mixed and steamed with masalas. well prepared and tasty. the regular buff biryani is also delicious. the buff meat is well cooked and flavorful . but the star of the place is undoubtedly is the buff roast which is simply superb. paired with the exquisite kerala maida parotta, the tasty dishe is truly unforgettable and a must for all meat fanatics. packed with customers, its highly recommended to parcel it. the ambience is that of a road side dhaba, hence easy on the pocket.
This is one the most best best experience of kerala i had in pune... all the dishes has a certain flavour which is finger licking.... thanks to unniraga...
Porotta was a bit lukewarm and the buff curry needed more flavour. Morru was excellent!
AWESOMENESS is FOOD
Yet another gem to have regional Cuisine sitting at Pune.
Kerala cuisine offers a multitude of dishes- be it veg, non veg or seafood delicacies. Apart from the beautiful culture, ayurveda, Kerala spices are much talked about, call it chilly pepper, heeng powder, fenugreek seeds, tamarind, star spice and the list is extensive... of course not to forget coconut(oil, milk & grind form) & curry leaves. the veg dishes are comparatively less spicy than the non veg food.
Kerala fast food is a small yet neat and clean joint which can accommodate 25-30 people at one go. Service is quick and owner is humble. they serve food on banana leaf and it indeed is delight to eyes and hungry tummy.
FOOD:-
Calling all the buff lover's (I am not a buff eater, hence can't rate it), probably the only place serving buff fry and curry dishes and while we were relishing fish, chicken, mutton...could see almost 25-30 plates of Buffalo fry being sold in 45 mins span.
* Must try- Out of the world small river fish fry, fish curry, chicken curry, mutton korma, papadam with parotta and brown rice Do try Morru (buttermilk) to settle the amazing spices.
Pics below is the verdict of what we could eat. a must visit for all fellow foodies out there. 😁✌️
Amazing South Indian food. Being a South Indian myself I can't agree with the food more. The Buffalo Fry and Paratha is a great combo. Sulaimani is a must must try. Best way to end a meal.
Small little eatery right near my house, im surprised how iv discovered this place just recently.
Chicken roast here is to die for! Im a fan.
A place to eat authentic Kerala food away from home
Favorites being the chicken curry, kadala curry, sulemani chai and the parottha. The weekend meals are a must try. Try bringing your friends along to give them a taste of the Kerala cuisine!!!
Being a keralite this is the place to go to get your blissful memories of home made food. The rice and fish curry is a must try. Also the buff fry. Its cheap and fresh and service time is also less.
Our regular place whenever we are home sick. Must try **** fry, poratta ,appam and fish curry. Infact anything on the menu will take you back to kerala,be it the simple kattan kaappi or the chicken masala.
Been here for lot of times....
Nice food ..Chicken Roast Masala with Parota..
Also Chicken Biryani and finally last SULAIMANI..
Good combination of ambience and food..
A bigger place to sit than the other joint.. our regular n favourite place for typical kerala food..specially nonveg roast n suleimani.. decent service.. decent ambience..authentic kerala food at good price..
Its a place to eat authentic Kerela food, so all the fish & chicken lovers would love it. Being a vegan, I can tell you my experience of their veg meal. The meal is amazing wih rice, veggies, paisam, rasam, papaddam and a lot more. I love the thali which they give in just Rs. 90. You can also try their Sulemani chai, it has lemon, black pepper, jaggery and tastes amazing.
If your wanna have authentic Kerala food, it's a great place on Aundh Road, the taste is really good for the dishes I have tried. The fish fry was below average. Otherwise so far everything has been good. I have tried Fish Fry, Chicken fry (very delicious), Kotthu Parrota (must try), Porrotta, Chicken Curry, Chicken Masala Roast, Kadala Curry and Sulemani Chai (tasty). The ambience is average nothing special, accommodates around 20 people. Service is quick, looking at the rush this place, serving speed is good, don't expect much other than being served. One of my goto places when hungry.
Treat for a keralite!! Buffalo roast and sulaimaani tea are must tries!! Not so pricy, a small outlet with good service! Highly recommended!
It’s a very decently priced option for Kerala food. Food is very authentic and tasty. The seating area is limited, but who cares if the food is worthwhile. A must visit if you like mallu cuisine .
Awesome food. Whenever i have craving for fish curry i used to visit this place. Its a request when you show that you serve wheat parotta but you dont serve then it really feels little bit irritated. Whenever i ask for parotta i never get it. Please serve wheat parotta although its good for health. Please serve surmai in fish although charge high for it no problem.
Ambience - Its small place with max 15-20 ppl seating are, not so fancy decor.
Best part was you can see how they make Parotta.
Food - I had "Chicken Kothu Parotta" and "Sulemani chai", First thing first
Sulemani chai was really awesome and I can defiantly going back for that. Nice taste of lime and Peppermint with a hint of cinnamon.
Chicken Kothu Parotta was bit soggy by the time it reached our table, but taste was still way better then what I had in past.
"NOTE -- chicken is not boneless"
Cost - One plate chicken Kothu parotta was for 140(Rupees)
Sulemani chai - 20 (Rupees) Highly Recommended
My first time eating kerala food. I had heard that there's an overwhelming quantity of condiments in kerala cuisine, and it sometimes gets too much for non-natives. I was hell bent on finding out.
The menu is simple, there are generic preparations, with options within themselves to chose from. The menu has pictures and descriptions of every dish, so people like me can make up our minds.
The place is clean, a few tables indoors and out.
The porottas are available, of course, with maida and wheat as options. We obviously ordered maida porottas with fish curry.
Then there is the kotta porotta, which is made with chopped porottas, fried with eggs and meats as per choice. We had chicken and egg version, which was lightly spiced, and very well made.
I also wanted to try Puttu - a dry rice and coconut preparation, boiled in a cylindrical shape. It's best had with a curry, because it tends to absorb a whole lotta gravy, and becomes even drier. That's why the fish curry.
We took the tuna curry, it was a thick piece of fried tuna in a spice-laden gravy. It was awesome, and the aftertaste refuses to leave, which is a good thing!
Advice - Do ask for more gravy if you run out. Except the chicken masala curry, all other gravy refills are available in abundance.
To finish off the meal, we had an appam with the remaining fish gravy.
DONE!
Then there are items like sulaiman tea, vernacular cold beverages whose availability needs to be checked.
They also have fried fish, chicken dishes, which smelled very good from the next table.
While Aundh is quite far from my place, it seems like a fair exchange to drive all the way for the food here!!
A honest Kerela food joint. Small place with a huge crowd, which means food is finger licking. Waiting time can be a bit of bother, but patience pays well. Super fast service, yummy food. Sorry very limited veg options. But still great stuff. Lovely appams and parota.
Being a typical South Indian with a voracious appetite for my kind of spice, Kerala Fast Food served up the perfect meal! I've finally found my adda in this new land. Yes, the food is simply superb but the hospitality is what makes this restaurant special. I'm not fussed about the ambiance as it was a beautiful day to have a full meal in an almost open space.
A must visit if you fancy authentic food from Gods own county ❤️
Kerala Fast Food, Khadki
Little no-frills place, super fast and efficient service, lip-smacking food, and total value for money place. That's in a nutshell the Kerala Fast Food for you.
We had
1. Kuttu Roti (Chicken version), sorry no snaps....they use the Malabari Parottas for making this so it's really soft and moist. It's fried on the tava with shredded chicken, shallots, curry leaves and the spices.....loved it!
2. Bangda Fry..I've had better ones at other joints so this was strictly average. The masala the crispiness all fine though.
3. Buff fry, Malabar Parottas and gravy...This stole the show of course. Succulent tiny bits of buff cooked and fried in coconut oil with strongly ground whole spices was just fabulous. Went perfectly well with the Parottas and since it's a dry preparation, they provide a small bllowl of gravy which itself is delicious.
Washed it down with a Sulemani chai 😃!
Being a Keralite myself is enough ammunition to be biased on my review about this place. But nothing comes between good food & honest reviews.
So what do we have here- fresh, delicious food, good service a friendly owner and value for your rupee spent. Which also translates to this outlet being a regular lunch outlet for working folks around the area. Must try includes their Sulemani tea and Kerala biryani.
All I wish- please start during breakfast hours too.

I have consistently had great food at both the outlets. Went yesterday again and even though we went late and they were almost shutting down, when we told the owner we had come all the way from KP he managed to sort out some great buff fry and roast for us. What everyone with us really appreciated besides the awesome food was the owner was really friendly and made us feel so welcome. Great stuff guys!
A decent cheap place. had tried out their kerala porota, chicken fry and kuttu porota. The only problem was that the kuttu porota should have been a bit more fried, was a bit soggy!
Food-4/5

Delicious Keralite food!!! Love the parotha and chicken curry... A must have at this place.. Glad to have tried this place... Excellent service... :)
Beautiful food! And really great service.
Must have: Buff fry, Buff curry and kutthu parotha!
Their fish dishes are also popular but I've never had any so can't comment on those. But on a whole they serve the most delicious tender beef preparations!
Alwayz been a regular customer of this Resto !!
Do go if u wana relish the famous 'Suleimani Tea'.. I loved it..
Coming to Food, listing Items on my top to down Rank Basis :
Chicken Curry - Nicely cooked, tender & coconut Milk used !!
Fish Fry - Heavenly one just like you find in kerala ThattKada(Malayalam HandCart) 😉
Porotta/Appam - As the one u get At native ☺️
You are also provided with Meals as well, the proper Kerala stylish one !!
Must Go !! Not much ambience but healthy & clean seating arrangements..
Food is good. I frequently visit here for the fish fry thats always below the 200rs price bracket !! The food is authentic south kerala food and its delicious n spicy. Afternoon fish curry meals, fish fry, chicken roast, appam and kerala paratha r worth trying. The service isnt great especially if u r sitting far from the counter. Basically service s poor and i m rating it for value for money food here
Open up your taste buds because food served here is so delicious you cannot resist. South Indian style spice and flavour. Must try their drink named Sulemani and buff masala and chicken masala with Appam or Parotha. I
The food served is good. Although the place doesn't seem pleasing aesthetically, it does have good food and the service is also good. If you want to have an experience of dishes from Kerala, you should definitely try out this place.
Food : 4/5
Service : 3.5/5
Ambience : 3/5
Overall : 3.5/5
Authentic, scrumptious, filling food straight from God's own country. No frills. Quick and efficient service. Chicken masala, beef fry, puttu-kadala (hope I spelled that right) and appam are some of the standout dishes. Finish your meal with a cup of refreshing sulaimani that also serves as a digestif. If you're entering at peak hours then you'd be lucky to catch a glimpse of one of the chefs whipping up some of those delicious Kerala parothas at godspeed.
An economic feast. Buff roast, buff fry, cappa biryani, parotta toppled with steaming suleimani cup of chai. The buff fry was delicious. The kind you lick your finger wala delicious. The roast was just too good with the parotta and while we were surprised with the chicken cappa biryani coz it had no rice but liked the coconutty taste of it. The to the brim full feeling was let loose by the hot suleimani black tea. All in all, a nice cute place for your meat cravings in keralian style.
Being a half mallu and a half tamizhian, I was waiting to explore this place from long back. And I did visit this place a little after I moved to Pune. To be precise on the day of Onam. But to my disappointment, the place had only vegetarian food and not non vegetarian considering the speciality of the festival. So me and my friend took off and planned to visit the place again.
Fast forward to the present day and I had the most satisfactory dinner. The restaurant is at two different locations in Pune. One at Aundh and other at Khadki. We went to the one at Khadki (which has outdoor seating too).
Coming to the dishes we tasted,
Beef Fry - Spicy and cooked in the authentic Kerala way. This was my favorite of the lot.
Fish Curry & fish fry - They were totally fresh and at every bite you could get the taste of Kerala.
Chicken fry - Were extra crispy with a dark texture. Sadly the portion was less as compared to beef.
Parotta - Soft in texture but fills your tummy very fast. So if you are looking to explore more, eat parotta in the end.
Chicken parotta - Tasted good and nothing extraordinary.
Sulaimani Tea - The perfect ending for the meal.
The only drawback in this place is that it gets occupied soon and the restaurant personnel take plenty of time to serve the dishes. Your patience will be tested for sure.
Other than that I really love the place and will definitely head back, very soon!
Ambience - ❤️❤️❤️
Food - ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Service - ❤️❤️
Value for money - ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good authentic Kerala food joint.
Simple sit out area. Food is okish for veg, limited veg options. Good service.
Hygiene may not be called perfect esp in rainy days.
Overall a good place to suffice your cravings for Kerala food.
Foods are tasty and having proper kerela touch. Lovely and delicious. Loved Chicken Ghee Roast with the appams.
Amazing fish fry. And OMG the thinnest crispiest tastiest Malabar paratha in town. The curries are good as well. Value for money.
Good place for south indian and kerala foods. Here you can get kappa, parotta, rice (brown, matta, normal) , complete meals, fish, chicken, mutton, panneer etc.. veey tasty and hygienic. Must visit.
Great place to go to have low cost Kerala food option. Love the appam and meals . especially Achayan fry and other delicacies.
You can shop as we ll in this place all Kerala items starting from Kerala chips to masalas and snacks are available here
A very small outlet, would even seem like a food joint if you look at it the first time. But the food 🤌🤌, they have a good kerala cuisine menu, the service is prompt, very much budget friendly. I'd recommend it 10/10
Kerala fast food is a restaurant located in aundh ,where we get kerala special dishes. The restaurant has a very good variety of dishes especially we will get buff . They are also famous for their PUTTU AND BEEF . The workers there were very good and also the service was awesome. The way they treat their customers is really good.
Great place for authentic Kerala food. They also have Kerala snacks like banana chips and chakki. The service could have been faster.
I tried the onam sadhya it was good priced at 350. The best i tasted was the sarakara varatti.
Ambience - Its small place with max 15-20 ppl seating are, not so fancy decor.
Best part was you can see how they make Parotta.
Food - I had "Chicken Kothu Parotta" and "Sulemani chai", First thing first

I ordered 2 Appams and egg curry for breakfast. Very tasty. Curry was in sufficient quantity. Rs. 130.00
Visit this place if you want to eat Kerala local food. Must try lemon tea here after your meal.
I drive to this place from 10kms away just for their Suleimani Chai.
Food is authentic and flavourful. True taste of Kerala
Best Place for South Indian Food... Appam & buff Masala Roast is just wow.. End the meal with Sulaimani- Special Lime Tea..
